OM DENNE EPISODE
Oregon State's 52-17 win over Montana raised expectations for JaMarcus Shephard's Beavs. The passing game and the crowd looked ready; now a trip to UTEP as the favorite asks whether this team can back up its first win on the road.
JP and Terry get into Shephard's first win, what his sideline energy means when the result backs it up, Atkinson finding five different touchdown receivers, the running game that still isn't keeping pace, and Legree's remarkable start. Plus: Gary Payton returns to Reser, Bernice is back, and Benny misses the show but is apparently in love with Justin Joyner's recruiting.
Then the Beavs head to El Paso. UTEP is 1-2, Oregon State is a road favorite, and suddenly “just get a win” feels like a low bar. What would a convincing win mean for expectations in the new Pac-12? JP sticks with his original 30-20 pick; Terry changes his preseason loss prediction to a 35-10 Beavs win. We also cover how to watch the game, the Portland watch party, men's basketball recruiting, and the rest of Beaver sports.
Be ready to get hurt again. This is the good shit. Go Beavs. Chop em.
