Episode 6: Customer-Obsession, Curiosity, Moonshots with Sumit Singh

For millions of pet parents, it's more than just a delivery; it's a symbol of convenience, care, and a deep connection to their beloved animals. It reflects a powerful trend: pet subscriptions now drive 40% of pet care dollars, with omnichannel consumers spending 30% more annually. This powerful customer bond was at the heart of the latest Shared Table conversation with @Chewy CEO @Sumit Singh. Sumit's journey is a masterclass in leadership, taking Chewy from $2B in revenue to a remarkable $12B. His secret? A relentless customer-obsessed mindset, a spirit of curiosity, and a willingness to take bold "moonshots" that redefine an industry. We explored how Chewy built a powerful "moat of differentiation" through human connection at scale. Empowering care agents and delighting customers with empathy and data to drive loyalty and growth. At the center of all of this - veterinarians. We discussed Chewy's innovative expansion into veterinary care, streamlining administrative tasks for veterinarians, and freeing up their time to focus on patient care, leaving a positive impact on pets and their parents. It's something we relate to at Elanco - Making Life Better for Animals, and for those who care for them.
