OM DENNE EPISODE
John Killick has spent more than 30 years behind bars, with a criminal history spanning more than six decades.
In Part Two of this extensive interview, John continues his remarkable story, taking Prison Chronicles deeper into his years inside some of Australia's toughest prisons and the people he encountered along the way.
John talks about life inside Goulburn during one of the prison's most violent periods, his encounters with notorious inmates including Ivan Milat, the realities of prison life, and the relationships and experiences that shaped his years behind the walls.
He also tells the extraordinary story of Lucy Dudko and the 1999 helicopter escape from Silverwater Prison, one of the most audacious prison escapes in Australian history, and what happened after the helicopter touched down.
Part Two brings John's story through his later years in prison, his eventual release, and his reflections on a life that has taken him through more than half a century of Australian criminal and prison history.
