Dr. Lucas Wilson is here on the ITBR! Author of Shame Sex Attraction: A Survivor’s Stories of Conversion Therapy, this episode is nothing short of compelling. The personal stories Lucas had to offer from his time at conversion therapy are a powerful and necessary listen, as many are unaware the practice is even still happening.
Our talks ranged from the hypocrisy of evangelical leaders, the varying kinds of people seeking conversion therapy and why the practice seemingly doesn’t work. To learn more about Dr. Lucas Wilson and Shame Sex Attraction: A Survivor’s Stories of Conversion Therapy, check out the link below!

This edited collection brings together the experiences of those who have been subjected to queer conversion therapy - it is an effort to expose conversion practices for what they are - pseudoscientific, bogus, ineffective, and wildly traumatic - and to recognise and listen to survivors.
