OM DENNE EPISODE
Meet Adam Morse: The Spark That Started It AllAt just 16, a chance conversation with a financial planning student set Adam Morse on a path that would redefine how families think about wealth. Fast forward to today, Adam is the founder and Managing Director of QuarterFive Family Wealth, an independent advisory built on a bold idea: wealth isn’t about money - it’s about legacy, values, and the impact you leave behind.Baptism by Fire: Lessons from the GFCAdam earned his licence in October 2007, just weeks before the Global Financial Crisis sent markets spiraling. Instead of walking into an industry built on glossy sales pitches, he was thrown into a storm. With clients panicking and portfolios bleeding, Adam learned fast that real advice isn’t about products - it’s about people. That crucible shaped his philosophy: integrity first, clarity always. What is QuarterFive?QuarterFive takes its name from the “fifth quarter” - what happens after the final whistle. For Adam, that means going beyond the numbers and helping families define success on their terms. The firm is proudly independent, separating advisory fees from fund management, ensuring total transparency.Their approach blends financial rigour with human values:Strategic Wealth Management - bespoke strategies that go beyond cookie-cutter investments.Family Governance & Charters - building frameworks to preserve both harmony and assets.Multi-Generational Forecasting - planning not just for today, but for decades ahead.Whole-of-Wealth Reporting - clarity at scale, so families see the big picture, always.Values Before ValuationsQuarterFive isn’t about chasing the hottest stock or squeezing clients into products. Adam built the firm on a values-based model that starts with asking the right questions:What does success mean to your family? What legacy do you want to leave? How do you balance harmony with ambition? This client-first, ethics-driven philosophy has become the QuarterFive blueprint - and it’s shaking up an industry that has long confused complexity with credibility. Why This Conversation MattersIn an era where financial noise is louder than ever, Adam Morse is offering something rare: clarity with integrity. His story is not just about surviving the GFC or founding a wealth firm - it’s about reimagining what wealth really means for families, entrepreneurs, and leaders who want to build more than just balance sheets. On the pod, Adam goes deep with Kate and Tobi on:How early setbacks became his biggest strengths. Why transparency is non-negotiable in modern wealth planning. The frameworks families can use to preserve both money and meaning. How to build wealth that outlives you.Final Whistle: The Fifth Quarter AdvantageAdam’s message is simple yet powerful: money is a tool, not the goal. The true measure of wealth is legacy - and QuarterFive exists to help families, leaders, and entrepreneurs write theirs.
