FOG #84 Danny Moore | Townsville Talent, Manly Premiership & A Winner on Both Sides of the World
Danny Moore is FOG #84 — a Townsville product who carved out a terrific top-grade career across Australia and the UK as a powerful outside back. An Australian international and Queensland State of Origin representative, Danny played at centre and on the wing in a tough era, earning his place through hard work, reliability and a quiet confidence.
He debuted in first grade for Manly in 1991, later becoming part of a Sea Eagles side that played in three straight grand finals and lifted the trophy in 1996. Danny then headed to England, winning again with Wigan and becoming the first player to win a grand final in both the northern and southern hemispheres. At representative level, he pulled on the Maroon jersey in Paul Vautin’s famed 1995 “Neville Nobodies” clean sweep and also earned Australian selection.
A proud Queenslander who never forgot where he came from.
