OM DENNE EPISODE
In this episode of the Endless Possibilities Podcast, Gareth Duignam shares a deeply personal story about his encounter with Amma, known as the hugging saint, and the transformative experiences that followed.
Gareth reflects on the journey leading up to his meeting with Amma, describing how he had already received Shaktipat from Jan Esman and a powerful dream Darshan with Mother Mira. As he approached Amma, he felt a sense of anticipation and connection, knowing that this moment would be significant.
When he finally received Amma's hug, he describes feeling completely disoriented, as if he had lost touch with his own identity. In that brief embrace, he experienced a powerful transmission of energy, leaving him in a state of blissful confusion.
However, the bliss was soon accompanied by unexpected emotions. Gareth recounts returning home only to be overtaken by a sudden and intense rage over a trivial matter. This was startling for him, prompting a realization that the darshan had unearthed buried feelings of anger that he had not fully processed.
Gareth emphasizes that this is a common experience for many who undergo strong spiritual openings: the energy not only brings light but also reveals what remains unresolved within our emotional systems.
As the days passed, Gareth noticed significant changes in his sleep patterns. He began to experience a state where his body slept, but his awareness remained alert, a phenomenon he describes as stabilizing the witness state during sleep. This shift marked a deeper level of awareness and presence that many on a spiritual path encounter.
Additionally, Gareth shared how his understanding of love began to expand. No longer confined to personal relationships, he started to perceive love as an all-encompassing force that connects all beings.
Gareth concludes by inviting listeners to reflect on their own experiences with spiritual transmissions and the emotions that may arise afterward. He encourages a gentle presence with these feelings, rather than resistance, and highlights the importance of recognizing the continuity of awareness in everyday life.
If you resonate with any part of this journey or have experienced similar shifts, Gareth would love to hear your story. Thank you for joining this exploration of transformation and awareness. Until next time, keep resting in the awareness that is already free, whole, and home.
