Speaker 1: KRFX HD2 Denver.
00:00:02
Speaker 2: KHOW Denver. This is 630 KHOW. Denver's talk station. And iHeartRadio station. Guaranteed human. Dan Kaplan. Oh, another gorgeous day to fight for the American way. Glad you're here. And a lot of fighting to be done today. This day is so significant for so many obvious reasons. And we start with one of the worst atrocities in modern history, obviously. invasion of Israel by Iran, October 7, as it's now known, and Iran acting through Hamas. But what's the difference, right? Evil in different forms by different names, but that is Iran invading Israel to commit a genocide. And typical of the left, they have now flipped this into Israel allegedly committing a genocide, which it certainly has not. while Iran and Hamas set out to do that very thing. But the level of depravity and horror, it's interesting in preparing for the show today to talk about October 7, and then it's going to go beyond, the point on this show today goes beyond just the almost unimaginable horror and depravity of Hamas, Iran, and how unfairly Israel has been portrayed. Not that it's perfect. Listen, not at all. I think reasonable people can look at You know, the decision to go in and to root out the enemy from Gaza and can have an intelligent debate about whether there might have been other tactics available. But those who call it a genocide, they're just liars or they are willfully uninformed because it doesn't fit any definition of genocide. But as I prepared the show for today, and we'll talk about more than that, but it's so important to start with it. As I prepared the show, I was trying to find individual examples of some of the depravity, just so we could stay honest about what happened. I couldn't find a single one that I could repeat on air in detail, simply because it's so horrific that most good people would just turn off the radio. But I think by now people get the overall idea that this was like opening the gates of hell and unleashing those demons straight into the great state of Israel against largely non-military defenseless targets. And everybody knows, you know, the burning of babies and all of the mass rape and everything else. And it's so ironic that so many women's groups, you know, side against Israel and in favor of the attackers. So many people on the left have no concern whatsoever with that mass rape as a tactic. And you wonder where that comes from. And that's one of the things I'd love to get your take on is where does that come from? When you have so many people now and Mamdani, the mayor of New York, just issuing a truly obscene statement today where he pays a little bit of lip service to the massacre of innocent Israelis and then goes on to make it all about what happened in Gaza. But again, it's open now. It's in the open right now, right? The fact that you have these socialists flaming anti-Semite, in many cases anti-American socialists, who are now just double middle finger open about it. Hey, elect me, and we've got one here in Colorado, in Malacaros, in my constitutionally protected opinion, who gets a total pass from the same individual members of the media who, you know, would fillet any Republican they found passing gas in an elevator.
00:03:37
Speaker 3: It's just.
00:03:38
Speaker 2: the reality of today, and it's our job to overcome that. 303-713-8255, D-A-N-5-7-7-3-9. Love this text to start the day. Dan, heard your Tim Tebow story on yesterday's show. I woke up this morning and looked at the clock. It was 316. I wish I grabbed my phone to take a picture of that from Alexa. Glad you didn't grab your phone because it's really hard, isn't it? Middle of the night, you get up, and then you want to check your phone, but once that screen goes on, it's harder to get to sleep. Takes a lot of willpower there. But if you didn't hear our conversation yesterday on Tebow, it was one of our Proof of God segments, and it's worth a listen. Really fun stuff. But as we get back to October 7, which is going to be one of the issues today on the show, I want to throw this question out there for you in the beginning. And that is, with Israel being falsely accused of genocide, simply for going after the enemy that invaded it and then the enemy deciding to hide among the civilian population. So the alternative for Israel at that point was what? Just let the enemy get away with it and grow stronger and do it again? What was the alternative to Israel there in terms of rooting out the enemy? And if there was one, I would love to hear it because any decent person, and I'd like to consider myself that, is horrified by Israel that the loss of innocent life in Gaza. And then the question becomes who's responsible for that. And I think it's clearly at the feet of Iran and Hamas. But if you disagree, you know, love to hear from you. As Coach Prime says, I ain't hard to find and we don't hide from anybody. I threw in that second part. But Prime would say that too if it became relevant.
00:05:21
Speaker 3: 303-713-8255, DAN-57739.
00:05:21
Speaker 2: But here's the tip of the spear question for you. What do you think this nation would have done If it had happened to us, if on October 7, any October 7, we had been invaded from the north or south, east or west, you had had a foreign power cross our borders, kill 40,000 innocent Americans, many of them on brutal, torturous death, mass raped our women, burned babies alive in front of their parents, What do you think this nation would have done? And the enemy then flees beyond the border to their own homeland. What do you think this nation would have done? What do you think this nation should have done? Had that happened to us? Because that's the equivalent number, 40,000, given the relative populations.
00:06:22
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:06:24
Speaker 2: What do you think?
00:06:24
Speaker 3: 303-713-8255, DAN-57739.
00:06:24
Speaker 2: Maybe one of the worst talk topics I've ever thrown out there because there's only one answer. Everybody knows there's only one answer. I'd be very curious as to whether our lefties, and we're so fortunate and glad to have lefties who call this show, would call and say no, that this nation would not have done exactly what Israel did, or had it happened to us, God forbid, should not have done what Israel did. I'd be very interested to see if anybody calls with that. And of course, none of us would sit here as decent people and say that we would have taken any joy in having to do what had to be done to protect America because there is, and this I think is inarguable, but you never know, somebody might disagree. There literally is nothing more valuable or precious on the face of the earth than innocent human life. And when a righteous nation is called on to defend itself against an evil enemy, no matter how careful that righteous nation is, there's going to be a lot of innocent human life that's lost. So nobody would ever take joy in that or go about that lightly. But then the question becomes, what's the alternative? To let the known evil do it again and again and again and keep taking innocent human life and grow stronger and stronger so it can take more and more of it? And this involves, this invokes a lot of different important questions, including just war doctrine, et cetera. But we'd love your take on all that. What do you think this nation would have done? 303-713-8255, the number. Also, talking today, because it's in the news and it's immediate, about the killer trucker on I-70. You remember the trucker, Rahel Aguilera Madero, who's... Killed, burned to death, four people on I-70. Was convicted of four counts of vehicular homicide very quickly by a Democrat prosecutor in Jeffco who did an excellent job with the case. You know, clear and necessary conviction. Sentenced to over 100 years per Colorado's mandatory. The judge was in the process of considering lowering it. The DA was going to ask for 20 to 30. When Poldis took it away, took it away from the judge, took it away from the court system, And took it away from the entire legal process, including victim input. So he could do a solid for Kim Kardashian. And as a result of that, this mass killing trucker is now going to be eligible for parole this year. So when we come back, I'll get you the CBS story on that. But I want to get you some more details. And I want to play you some really compelling sound. And then get your take on how much time do you think he should be serving? There are other issues as well here, but how much time do you think he should be serving? 303-713-8255, D-A-N-5-7-7-3-9. You're on The Dan Kaplan Show.
00:09:43
Speaker 3: Is the plague in Russia a bio-weapon? Well, we don't think so. We're going to find out soon enough, but we don't think so. And if you... Listen to them. It's under control. You know, people have said that before about other things. So we hope it is very sophisticated, very smart. And they're saying it's very much under control. So we hope not, Peter.
00:10:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, but we all know the next one's coming, right? We all know the next COVID's coming, likely worse. And I'm not trying to be a doomer here. That isn't the point. But we just know it's coming, particularly with AI and AI making it much easier for evil to concoct these bioweapons, et cetera, let alone nation states. And who knows what Putin's going to do as he becomes more and more desperate, the Iranian regime, et cetera. So that's a whole other show to talk about, hey, what to do now to prepare for that, because you don't want to live your life in fear. You want to live your life in joy. You want to live your life focused on the positive, thoroughly enjoying every second of every day. while at the same time, you know, being reasonably cautious, taking reasonable, making reasonable preparations for some of the stuff that may very well come. Hey, we're talking about a lot right now. Jump in on any of it. We started, of course, October 7, 2023, one of the worst civilian massacres in modern world history, the equivalent of 40,000 Americans. And you know the horrific ways that so many were killed by those cowardly, truly demons, straight out of hell demons, who, you know, sent by Iran via Hamas. So we'll go to the phone lines. We'll start with Jane in Fort Collins. You're on the Dan Kaplan Show.
00:11:22
Speaker 4: Welcome.
00:11:23
Speaker 5: Hi, thank you.
00:11:25
Speaker 4: Sure.
00:11:28
Speaker 5: I watched a documentary yesterday called American Doctor, and everyone in America should see it. It is about three doctors who go into Gaza, into the hospitals, which are being bombed on a regular basis. And your taxpayer, my taxpayer money, is funding this, funding it for Netanyahu to kill children.
00:11:57
Speaker 6: It's against the law.
00:12:01
Speaker 5: The law, the war, I don't know what it's called, but it's against.
00:12:07
Speaker 6: the rules of war to.
00:12:09
Speaker 5: Go in and bomb hospitals. And this is what's going on on a regular basis, and we hear nothing about it. I think everyone should see this documentary.
00:12:22
Speaker 2: Let me ask you, Jane. Let me ask you, Jane. Was this video purporting to tell you that Israel was intentionally killing children?
00:12:33
Speaker 5: They're intentionally bombing hospitals with children.
00:12:37
Speaker 2: May I ask you this? May I ask you this? Was there any discussion in this piece about the hospital being used as a base by Hamas?
00:12:47
Speaker 4: No.
00:12:48
Speaker 2: Okay, there should have been.
00:12:49
Speaker 5: Hamas has nothing to do with it.
00:12:51
Speaker 2: Oh, really? Okay. Are you aware that Hamas uses hospitals as bases?
00:13:01
Speaker 5: This is not what I'm talking about.
00:13:02
Speaker 2: Oh, I understand that. I understand because if I understand you correctly... You want to criticize Israel and your premises that Israel is intentionally killing children, right?
00:13:12
Speaker 5: Well, they're bombing hospitals that have children in them, yes.
00:13:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think what you're missing in here, Jane, is you're missing the fact, and the fact's been proven many different ways, that A, Hamas uses hospitals as military headquarters, just as Hamas embeds among the civilian population in many other ways. and that Israel gives warnings, Israel gives clear evacuation zones, and that Hamas continues to use as human shields, you know, women, children, etc. So let me ask you this profound question. Let's say that instead of our great ally Israel, it had been the United States attacked in the same way from across the border on October 7, 2023, 40,000 Americans killed, most of them civilians, women mass raped, babies burned alive. What do you think the U.S. should have done in that same circumstance?
00:14:08
Speaker 5: I just heard this on your radio station 10 minutes ago. And I'm not, I don't want to talk about that. I want to talk about what's going on right now in Palestine to innocent people by Israelis.
00:14:27
Speaker 2: Yeah, and would you agree that that the reason you don't want to talk about it respectfully is because you'd have to admit that the U.S. would and should respond in the same way that Israel has. And if the enemy that attacked us and killed 40,000 mass raped our women and kidnapped many other was hiding among the civilian population, Jane in Fort Collins would properly be sitting there saying, go take the enemy out, spare as many innocent lives as you possibly can, give people notice, give them evacuation routes, help feed them, But you've got to get that enemy and take them out before they can do this to us again.
00:15:05
Speaker 4: I don't know.
00:15:07
Speaker 5: I'm not talking about that.
00:15:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, but give it some thought, Jane. Thank you for the call. Give it some thought, and let's talk again on that. Because I think that's very, very, very important. Very important to consider. And because there's no getting around the horror of the innocent lives that are lost, starting with the children. And then the question is, is everything possible being done to protect the nation, in this example Israel, from their attackers while preserving innocent life? And I think people have a hard time showing that Israel hasn't done everything reasonable. Not trying to say Israel's been perfect here. Every human endeavor, there are going to be flaws. But it seems they've tried very, very hard to protect innocent life. Now, I'd love to know from folks if they think Israel should have just said, no. the enemies hiding among the civilian population so we can't touch them. Rhonda in Colorado Springs, welcome to the show.
00:16:03
Speaker 6: Hey, Dan, enjoy your show.
00:16:05
Speaker 2: Thank you.
00:16:06
Speaker 6: A couple of things. What Mom Donnie said just made my blood boil because he barely said, you know, the poor Israelis, et cetera, and then blamed it on them for what's going on in Palestine. So that's one thing that really pissed me off. But the other thing, I honestly don't know, because Biden was president when it happened, when Israel was bombed. I don't know if they would have done anything. I think they should, would have to. And I'm sure that President Trump at that time Happened to us now, he would do something.
00:16:56
Speaker 2: Do you think it would have happened if Trump was president on October 7, 2023?
00:17:00
Speaker 7: No.
00:17:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, no way.
00:17:03
Speaker 6: I really don't.
00:17:04
Speaker 2: No way. Just like Ukraine wouldn't have been invaded, raped, and pillaged the way it was had Trump been in office at that time.
00:17:13
Speaker 6: Because the other world leaders now really respect Trump. And that they had no respect for Biden.
00:17:21
Speaker 2: Well, they certainly fear him. And you're absolutely right about that. You're absolutely right about that. Well, thank you. Hey, very much appreciate that call. Want to try to get everybody in lots of text on this as well. And the Mamdani statement that she's referring to is just what you'd expect. Some lip service in the beginning to, you know, the innocent Israelis who were killed on October 7. But two sentences worth, maybe three. And then this long diatribe about the Israeli government's alleged genocide in Gaza. And that's a lie. And Mamdani knows it's a lie. But he's a liar. He's a liar. He supports an evil ideology. He's a flaming anti-Semite. He's a hater. He's a liar. But you know what? He didn't try to hide it much. And that's the thing about the Mamdanis and the Malat Kuros and the Abdul El-Sayeds. They don't try to hide it that much. And so it's a moment of testing, a moment of choosing for America. Now, in Colorado, unfortunately, the same media that go after Republicans at every turn, you know, just giving Milat Kiros a total pass. So, you know, you're about to have this, in my opinion, flaming anti-Semite open socialist who supports. You have to conclude she supports all the hateful things that Hassan Piker does because she campaigned with him repeatedly.
00:18:41
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:18:43
Speaker 2: She's about to stroll into office with none of the kind of scrutiny a Republican would get for, again, passing gas in an elevator. But that's the reality of the political landscape in Colorado. We just have to find a time to beat it and a way to beat it. Hey, when we come back, we'll continue this October 7th conversation, but also talk about the mass killer trucker on I-70 who may be about to get out. Michael Bennett.
00:19:10
Speaker 8: I would say that the establishment Democratic Party is a failed enterprise. So I don't even think it should be open for debate about what role it plays. It's a failed enterprise. It is so hard to lose two general elections to Donald Trump in political terms to imagine a worse failure than losing two national elections.
00:19:32
Speaker 2: To Donald Trump. Getting him credit, I mean, it's rare to hear elected officials just admit failure. But there you hear it from Bennett. You know, the Democrat Party establishment, and he is certainly the definition of that, right? I mean, you can't find a more. establishment inside and out figure than Michael Bennett, starting with his silver spoon upbringing in the Democratic Party establishment nationally to being handed the job here in Colorado, et cetera. So nice of him to admit failure, but the underlying point, which is that that, hey, wait a second, it's by definition a failure of the establishment to lose to Trump, is a level of either ignorance or dishonesty that we want to encourage. Because denial is not just a river in Egypt. And we want the Democrats to continue to convince themselves that they must have done something horrible, failed in some miserable way in order for Trump to win. And then they'll keep missing it. They'll keep missing real America. And they'll keep missing The fact that there's a big chunk of voters who traditionally have voted Democrat, you know, who are getting to the point they just can't stomach it anymore with the glorification of abortion and late-term abortion and this other far-left stuff and socialism. So, yeah, let them keep living in the state of denial.
00:20:58
Speaker 3: 303-713-8255, D-A-N-5-7-7-3-9.
00:20:58
Speaker 2: And that pretty much Bennett's swan song, right? Because his term is up in 28. And he's not going to get another term. He's either going to step aside voluntarily or he'll get beat in a primary, likely by a socialist like Malat Kiros, if not Malat Kiros. So, hey, we're talking about the killer trucker who polis because Kim Kardashian wanted it is letting out of jail far, far, far, far, far too early. So we're reviewing that today. I'll play you the news story. We're talking about October 7, 2023. You know, this this horrific massacre in Israel. And then also what this nation would have done if something like that happened here. Don, again in beautiful Fort Collins, you're on the Dan Kaplan Show.
00:21:45
Speaker 4: Welcome. Hi, Dan. Yeah, see, regarding the, you know, the murderous trucker, I think what should happen, and it won't, but it should, and that would be a botched execution. Let him heal. and then do it again in six months. I'm a trucker of 30 years. And what he did is the most selfish act that anyone behind the wheel could ever. I mean, no, it was just simple out-and-out murder, in my opinion. And he knew he was going to kill people. He knew it, doing it. So that's my two cents on that.
00:22:27
Speaker 2: Yeah. And I just, for the record, I mean, I'm not down with torture and death or anything else. I think what we had here.
00:22:34
Speaker 4: No, I'm not either, but it's like, that's kind of the way it feels like. If somebody should have had a boxed execution, it should.
00:22:41
Speaker 2: Have been him. But we need to be realistic about the fact that this is a form of torture for the survivors. And the other victims, I mean, you're talking about here a guy, and I'm putting together a video that I'm going to post and everybody can see it. It's a lot of video many people haven't seen before. But you're talking about a guy who made multiple decisions, and that's the point. Everybody says, oh, he didn't kill these people intentionally. No, but he intentionally did multiple things that he knew could very easily kill people. That's why the jury convicted him of vehicular homicide, four counts, and about the time it took for a cup of coffee because the evidence was so clear. And such as the decision when he's already lost his brakes because he testified, well, he told police, he lost his brakes as soon as he started to go downhill. But then rather than ditch the truck, he just kept gaining speed. And then guess what he chose to drive by? A runaway truck ramp. And there's a lot of evidence he chose to drive by multiple runaway trucks. truck ramps, but we have it on video that he drives by one when he's fully out of control, approaching 100 miles an hour, and he had a clear path onto that runaway truck ramp, but he made the decision not to take it. Yeah.
00:24:00
Speaker 4: My own brother up in Idaho, when he was a rookie truck driver, he shouldn't have been in Idaho. He should have been in the flatlands of Nebraska. But nonetheless, they sent him up there with a heavy load of paper and And yeah, his brakes, you know, he wasn't driving it down the mountain correctly. And so his brakes failed. And yeah, he took a runaway ramp. And he said, yes, you know, that he was, you know, prepared for his own life doing that. But he also knew he had no choice. Yeah.
00:24:30
Speaker 2: And with this guy, with this guy done, I'm going to post a video and it's going to show. And again, most people haven't seen this. It's going to show this trucker. As he gets down into the Metro, he's in Lakewood now, and traffic is stopped, you know, rush hour traffic jammed up. He's going down the right lane at 85 to 100 miles an hour. And then he makes a decision at the last instant to leave the shoulder and drive back into stop traffic. And he did that because there was a semi stopped on the shoulder. So rather than drive into the back of a trailer of a semi truck, which would have actually acted as like a cushioning device. He makes a conscious decision not to hit the semi, but to drive into the back of all that traffic. And then you immediately see just the big ball of flame and all these people burned up.
00:25:22
Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, do you— not to be racist— But it just seems as though people from other countries don't quite value life the way we do.
00:25:33
Speaker 2: I'd respectfully disagree, Don. I don't see any racial issue here whatsoever. What I see is— and let me tell you why, okay? Because it's impossible to value human life less than these elected Democrats. It's impossible when you look at their policies. And here's another example. Jared Polis. Because Kim Kardashian whispers in his ear, he puts so little value on human life. Each of these people burned alive, their families, all the other victims. Yeah, we're going to give this guy one year per victim, essentially. That's just so devaluing human life. And listen, there's nothing I've seen in the evidence, my friend Don, nothing I've seen in the evidence about this trucker that would suggest that he was in any way a bad human before this or that he'll be a bad human in the future. But he made multiple deliberate decisions that he knew could kill people, and as a result, he burned four people alive. It's got to be more than five years.
00:26:37
Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely. It has to be. You can't devalue life that much. You just simply can't. We're going to continue to do it and slide down a grade that's straight to hell.
00:26:49
Speaker 2: You tell me something, Don, as a trucker, because I know the answer to this because I do a lot of truck cases here and elsewhere, but What kind of message did Polis send to the trucking industry nationwide? In my view, the trucking industry, after decades of handling death cases against the industry, is half the industry are heroes. And half the industry is a clear and present danger to all of us on the roadways. What kind of message did Polis send to the bad half when he did this?
00:27:18
Speaker 4: Well, he gave them not a green light, but he certainly gave them a yellow light. Be cautious, boy. That's all.
00:27:25
Speaker 2: Oh, I don't think he sent that message at all. I think he sent the message, hey, human life doesn't matter in Colorado. I think he sent that message.
00:27:34
Speaker 4: I'm not going to disagree with you, Dad. I just can't put my mind around growing up the way I grew up. I can't put my mind around this kind of activity. Right. Or mindset.
00:27:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's the point, Don. I've got to go to this break, but thank you for the call. See, that's the point. And I've spent, again, I've spent decades doing these death cases against trucking companies. And the really good truckers, and there are many of them, they could never, ever even comprehend of making this series of deliberate decisions that this trucker did. And it outrages them. Like my dad. You know, Chicago cop for 30 years, a great cop, courageous cop. And my dad... could never comprehend the dirty cops. And it outraged him, just like this outrages great truckers. I mean, I've heard from it since, you know, it was a couple of weeks or so we, you know, that John and I and the team got that $ 65 million verdict against a reckless trucker who killed a young mom with their young child in the car with a horrific scene. And so, you know, I've heard from truckers since then, hey, right on, good job, get the bad ones out of here. But that's the point, right? And this is self-serving, and I get it, but it's also true. A verdict like that, and this is one thing the family really wanted to accomplish with this case, a verdict like that will help to make Colorado safer because the industry pays attention. I can show you the industry publications that are all over this verdict. And the flip side of that is when Polis cuts the sentence from 110 years to essentially getting out in five, The trucking industry gets that message too. And that's about the most dangerous message you could send, particularly to the bad half. And people have no idea, or none of us could really drive on the roadways. We have no idea how bad the bad half is of that industry. What's really going on there, how little they care about human life, and just how dangerous to you it is here on the Dan Kaplan Show.
00:29:46
Speaker 9: The driver of a semi-truck that caused a fatal crash on I-70, which took the lives of four people, is now asking for parole. The conviction of Rahel Aguilera Medeiros received national attention. Governor Polis commuted his sentence from 110 years to just 10. He is now eligible for parole. So in the parole hearing, Madero says he still thinks.
00:30:09
Speaker 2: About the victims.
00:30:10
Speaker 9: The board is considering his release based on factors, including the severity of the crime and his conduct in prison.
00:30:17
Speaker 3: I'm going to make.
00:30:18
Speaker 8: Sure that you don't regret your choice.
00:30:22
Speaker 2: If I'm granted parole because I'm not coming back to prison.
00:30:27
Speaker 9: So Madero's case has now been referred to the full board for review. At least four of seven participating board members would have to vote for release. CBS Colorado reached out to victims and their families for.
00:30:39
Speaker 1: Their thoughts on the request.
00:30:41
Speaker 2: We have not heard back yet. Yeah, the victims made it pretty clear early on, right? Remember when the jury, and this was a Democrat prosecutor in Jeffco, presented a great case and got the convictions, including four vehicular homicide convictions and many other lesser counts. And then the judge sentenced to 110 years, which is mandatory. And the judge said, hey, this wouldn't be my sentence. If I had the choice, my sentence would be less. And then the DA was about to hand the judge a sentence recommendation to dial it down to 20 to 30 years. And Polis knew that. But Kim Kardashian, Kim Kardashian was talking to Polis and she wanted Medeiros out. So what happened at that point is Polis took it away from the judge, profound disrespect to the system, profound disrespect to the judge who had put all the work into the case. He heard the trial, took it away from the judge, and he took it away from the court process. And then he did his own grave injustice. This was obstruction of justice, non-criminal, non-prosecutable obstruction of justice in its purest form, its worst form. And it was just spitting on the graves of the victims. So then Polis has a meeting on Zoom with the victim's family, because remember, this this mass killing happened on April 25th of 2019. So a lot of things in this case, you'll see people in masks and everything else. But here's a meeting on Zoom. And then listen to the victims properly give it to Polis, who just doesn't care.
00:32:14
Speaker 7: Democratic Governor Jared Polis said that he wanted to end the circus that was swirling around the 110-year sentence of a truck driver who killed four people on I-70. Governors refused to tell us about lobbying for clemency by Hollywood stars like Kim Kardashian West. And now we know how his meeting with the victims' families went.
00:32:32
Speaker 2: Not well. Here's Marshall Zellinger.
00:32:36
Speaker 4: It is my hope that this gives you some closure on this.
00:32:38
Speaker 6: No, it doesn't.
00:32:39
Speaker 2: This is entirely political. You are just victimizing us again.
00:32:43
Speaker 1: This is a recording provided to Next. Democratic Governor Jared Polis telling survivors and victims' family members he was commuting the sentence of I-70 truck driver Rojel Aguilera Medeiros from 110 years to 10.
00:32:55
Speaker 2: The punishment that he receives will be what any.
00:32:58
Speaker 7: Coloradan would normally receive this.
00:33:01
Speaker 2: Type of crime.
00:33:02
Speaker 1: Today, we received evidence from the trial, videos of the truck on I-70 ahead of the crash. Next Thursday, the judge in the case had a hearing set to reconsider the 110-year sentence. Why is waiting two weeks not the right thing to do? Well, again, based on our last conversation, I would have done this last week, but I told you I'd wait past Monday to see if the courts did anything.
00:33:22
Speaker 4: They didn't.
00:33:22
Speaker 1: And they said.
00:33:23
Speaker 2: They said the date!
00:33:24
Speaker 7: Okay.
00:33:25
Speaker 1: Families looking for an explanation got a repeated answer. Why did you think that you should do this instead of passing on it?
00:33:32
Speaker 2: Why is it not the right thing to wait two weeks? I'll read that section of the paragraph of the letter again. No, no. You're not answering my question.
00:33:44
Speaker 4: I answer that very question.
00:33:46
Speaker 1: Earlier this week, Kyle was able to ask the governor the same question.
00:33:49
Speaker 7: Why didn't you let it play out before you intervened?
00:33:52
Speaker 2: So here's why. This isn't the fault of the judge who passed the sentence. The judge's hands were tied.
00:33:57
Speaker 1: That was true at the time of sentencing, based on the charges Aguilera Medeiros was found guilty of. But next week's hearing was part of the judicial process that allowed for the judge to reconsider. Some of these family members wanted the judge to reconsider, not the governor. And certainly not celebrities who had the governor's ear.
00:34:14
Speaker 2: And what did Kim Kardashian West want you to do? Well, I haven't read all of her tweets.
00:34:18
Speaker 3: I don't know.
00:34:19
Speaker 2: There were certainly people that wanted a complete pardoning of the crime.
00:34:26
Speaker 1: Why do we continue to ask if the governor was guided by Kim Kardashian West? Because I've received multiple tips that he talked with her about this case.
00:34:34
Speaker 3: That's why.
00:34:35
Speaker 1: So our questions have been, what did she ask for versus what families were asking for?
00:34:39
Speaker 7: Because then you could ask how the governor weighed the two. For what it's worth, I think I asked him three times. I know you've asked him at least twice. The answers are yes or no, and we've yet to get one of those.
00:34:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, which is a yes. Obviously, he was talking to Kardashian. And think about it. What kind of human does that? And I don't personalize politics that often, right? Because reasonable people can disagree on lots of things. Some things they can't, but on lots of things. But what kind of human does this? You've got these people burned alive. You've got them convicted in a courtroom based on overwhelming evidence, intentional decision after intentional decision that he knew could kill somebody. And then you have a judge who's about to lower the sentence to 20 or 30 years, and Polish shows such profound disrespect for the victims and their families that he steps in then. And then you heard him on that tape, and that's why I wanted you to hear it. just insulting their intelligence. They're asking fair, direct questions. And he says, well, I'll read you that part of the statement again. Who does that? Just person to person, human to human. Yeah, it is what it is, right? And we paid the price. Elections have consequences. Elections have consequences. And we'll talk about Polis some more, but I want to keep talking about this, this, mass killing trucker. And I want to talk to you about a number of different things, including what do you think we need to do to protect you and your family and everybody else in Colorado better from these reckless truckers? It's about half the industry. What do you think we need to do? Let's get specific. You're on the Dan Kaplan Show.
00:36:27
Speaker 10: Stem cells, PRP, exosomes, peptides. If you've heard all these words lately and thought, okay, what does any of that actually mean? You are so not alone. Regenerative medicine isn't one treatment. It's all of those things, and they're not interchangeable. PRP, for example, uses components concentrated from your own blood to stimulate your body's healing powers. Exosomes are tiny cellular signaling particles that are used for a bunch of different things. Peptides are something different again, which is why the most important question probably isn't what's the newest treatment, it's what's the appropriate treatment for my condition. That's where RegenRevolution starts, with an evaluation. Not choosing a treatment because you heard somebody talking about it on social media. They look at what's causing the problem, explain options, and determine which approaches may or may not make sense for you. You don't need to become a regenerative medicine expert. You need someone who can explain it to you in normal English. Call RegenRevolution, 303-292-9992, or online, RegenRev.com, and tell them Mandy Connell sent you. It's Halloween season.
00:37:31
Speaker 9: And it's time to embrace the spooky vibes with the free iHeartRadio app.
00:37:36
Speaker 2: We ghosted the commercials.
00:37:37
Speaker 1: Halloween Radio is always streaming commercial-free. Just open the iHeart app, search Halloween, and listen now.
