French President Emmanuel Macron has promised a major crackdown after describing recent riots as apocalyptic, with nearly 500,000 protesters on French streets, widespread looting, and public buildings set on fire. In a televised address, Macron called for unity and swift justice for those responsible.
At least 200,000 people have been granted indefinite leave to remain in Britain since Labour promised a migration crackdown last year. Official figures show about 5,000 people each week, after living in the UK for five years on visas, now have permanent residency with full access to benefits, NHS care, and social housing.
Katie Zacharia was dismissed as White House press secretary after only five days when it emerged she had not passed the bar exam despite claiming to be an attorney. Her farewell photo with Donald Trump at the Oval Office desk included a blurred map, sparking questions about a possible security breach.
Tommy Fury was reportedly asked to leave a Halloween event near Chorley after staff said he intimidated them during a night out. Witnesses claimed Fury, who has a history of alcohol issues, was seen staggering, confronting scare actors, and smelling of sickness before management intervened.
Happy Howl-o-ween! Dogs don their best fancy dress for spooky street party
Manhattan hosted the 36th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade, transforming the streets into a canine carnival with dogs and owners in elaborate costumes. Outfits ranged from Batman to dinosaurs, with Snickers, a black and white Shih Tzu dressed as basketball star Jalen Brunson, winning the top prize in a pumpkin-like basketball costume.
