This week, we sit down with Gavin Mathieu, the visionary behind SUPERVSN, a brand that has redefined the intersection of creativity and community. Gavin shares his journey from creative directing for musicians and running a retail gallery on Fairfax to establishing a thriving fashion brand rooted in collaboration and responsibility.
As he reflects on his entrepreneurial path, Gavin discusses the importance of trusting your vision over algorithms and societal expectations. He emphasizes the significance of creating spaces that inspire, particularly for young Black creatives in his community. The conversation dives deep into the evolution of Los Angeles, the power of collaboration, and the transformative potential of AI in today’s fast-paced world.
Listeners will gain insights into the realities of entrepreneurship, the necessity of self-awareness, and the importance of joy as a guiding principle in business. Gavin also shares practical advice for aspiring entrepreneurs navigating a saturated market, stressing the value of authenticity and the unique experiences that shape one's creative perspective.
