From Worship Leader to Artist: Eric Soto on Vulnerability & “Secret Place” | 92

Episode 92 of the Creative Encounter Podcast is one of the most honest and vulnerable conversations we’ve had yet.

Eric Soto joins us to talk about his brand new single “Secret Place” — a song born out of fear, frustration, surrender, and deep faith. After years of leading worship, serving in ministry, and keeping his personal songwriting private, Eric is stepping into a new season as an artist.

In this episode we talk about:

• The difference between worship leading and releasing personal music
• Writing through pain and uncertainty
• His brother’s brain surgery and the emotional weight behind the song
• Wrestling with doubt and praying, “Help my unbelief”
• Letting go of control and choosing submission
• Leaving Chicago to walk 550 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago
• Moving into a new season of life, creativity, and calling

“Secret Place” isn’t just a song — it’s a raw prayer from someone learning how to be honest with God again.

If you’ve ever struggled with doubt…
If you’ve ever been afraid to bring your real emotions before God…
If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re allowed to wrestle…

This conversation is for you.
