OM DENNE EPISODE
In this deeply heartfelt episode of Cosmic Conversations, host Patricia Walls welcomes indigenous spiritual leader, author, healer, and wisdom keeper Wayne William Snellgrove, also known as Standing Bear, for a powerful conversation on healing, trauma, spirituality, and the sacred journey of becoming whole.
Blending indigenous wisdom, ancestral teachings, and lived experience, this conversation explores what it truly means to heal — not by escaping suffering, but by transforming it into love, purpose, and authenticity.
With honesty, humility, and profound spiritual presence, Wayne shares his journey as a survivor of the Sixties Scoop — taken from his community at birth, raised disconnected from his roots, and carried through years of trauma, addiction, loneliness, and spiritual searching.
Together, Patricia and Wayne explore the healing power of ceremony, the wisdom of elders, and the transformation that occurs when we move from the wounded “I” narrative into the healing “we” narrative.
In this illuminating conversation, Patricia and Wayne explore:
-The Indigenous Red Road and spiritual healing
-The connection between trauma and separation from self
-The sacred role of elders, ceremony, and prayer
-How suffering can become a pathway to transformation
-The power of love without judgment or expectation
-Community, belonging, and ancestral connection
-Why healing begins through authenticity and presence
Drawing from decades of spiritual practice, recovery work, and cultural leadership, Wayne offers a grounded yet expansive perspective on healing — one that honors both the pain of the human experience and the resilience of the soul.
With compassion, storytelling, and profound wisdom, this episode becomes more than a conversation.
It becomes a remembrance.
A remembrance that healing does not happen alone.
And a remembrance that even our deepest wounds can guide us back to love.
Because spirituality is not about becoming someone new.
It is about remembering who you have always been.
