OM DENNE EPISODE
One singer. Multiple legendary voices. One lifelong passion for music...(and sports!) In this episode of Borrowed Notes, Authentic Lives, Karyn Rosenberg sits down with Kyle Frost, a Berklee College of Music graduate, versatile tribute artist, and original musician whose career has been shaped by a deep love of music and performance. From his childhood in Connecticut to stages across the country, Kyle has built a reputation for bringing the music of legendary artists such as Foreigner, Boston, The Eagles, Bryan Adams, and Simon & Garfunkel to life for audiences who cherish these timeless songs.
Kyle shares his fascinating journey into tribute performance, including the techniques he uses to capture the distinct vocal styles of different artists while maintaining his own authenticity as a performer. We discuss the unique challenges and rewards of stepping into the shoes of iconic musicians, the discipline required to honor their music, and the responsibility that comes with preserving these musical legacies for new generations.
Beyond tribute bands, Kyle is also an accomplished original artist, and we explore how his own songwriting and creative work influence his perspective as a performer. Along the way, we talk about music, identity, reinvention, and the experiences that have shaped his life both on and off the stage. Plus a avid golfer, lover of New England sports, and shares some great stories!
