OM DENNE EPISODE
Join poets Anne Louise Phillips, L.Lois, JeFF Stumpo, and Garrett Souliere as they play a poetry drafting game built around the rhetorical device of zeugma… and our humble attempts to understand and use it poetically. Thank you, poets, for playing with me. This is a really fun device that you’ll begin seeing everywhere once you know it.
This is our second episode of Draft and Craft and our second half of our session with this great group of writers.
Once I get my feet under me with production (I have been editing a lot of podcasts lately.) I’m really excited to “run it up” with this writing gameshow and group exercise class. These initial sessions were such a blast, but I’m already seeing a dozen ways that I can make the game and class experience crisper, brighter, snazzier.
We had so much fun last week with our launch— and with everything #LitMagWeek brought. Writing is enjoying a kind of contemporary renaissance in many forms, it seems. We’re grateful for this moment, and for these amazing institutions and initiatives that make writing more possible, visible, and rewarding.
And thank you all for your kind feedback and support! While this is our new premium podcast, this week’s show will also be released freely for preview.
Our Demo Tape pilot trials - 3 bonus episodes - are exclusively available to premium members at just $5 / month
We hope you enjoy — tell a friend, and let us know if you play along!
Draft and Craft is the world’s first writing gameshow podcast, where no one knows what’s about to happen. Each week, a group of poets joins host Garrett Souliere, founder and editor at Quibble Lit, as they weave been writing topics, word games, and workshopping.
This show is for more than poetry lovers - it’s for anyone curious about the creative process. It’s about risk-taking, adapting, interpretation, vulnerability and courage. We hope to add a page to your notebook, a tool to your toolbelt, and most importantly, that you have fun playing or watching along.
