Ant WILD: Create dopamine. Create dopamine. I create dopamine. Another mother audio, hey!
Lisa Renee: Another mother party. hey Here we go to the freaking show and Ralph started the music slow get your coffee get your tea and get your I'm your host Lisa Renee and my co-host is
Ant WILD: We another love the audio. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. ⁓ And while we're at
Lisa Renee: And he's from the 916 sack town And we another mother party Do the Friday dance, y'all
Ant WILD: One, six, five, ten. Cat, Cat, ⁓
Lisa Renee: Do the Friday dance here, come on! Hey! Do the Friday dance y'all! Come on, hit it! Get your coffee, get your tea, and you better get your life, guys. Let's get into it, Aunt Weezy. What we got going on with sports? Sports, sports, sports. We gonna get into an happy game.
Ant WILD: What? Sports sports sports, but we don't get into the NBA. We have the NBA season. We in the fourth quarter of the NBA season. You understand we in the fourth quarter NBA season, but first I want to give a shout out to some college hoops. I'm gonna go to the Mountain West. I'm not going to go to the big to the big five. I'm gonna go to the Mountain West. Cause I've been given hometown shout out to your right to net Sacramento's finest North Highlands, California. Stand up. He's a starting point guard freshman. true freshman point guard at the University of New Mexico Lobos. And Utah State fumbled the bag last night against Boise State. So now on Saturday, New Mexico is going to be playing Utah State to see who's regular season Mountain West champions. So let's get out there. Let's get it cracking. We got to take care of business. and then play against Utah State Saturday, 1 PM Pacific Standard Time. So if you into some good basketball, tune in. Number four, your riot, Tanet. He's about to get out there and get it cracking. As far as the NBA is concerned, Lake Show win on a three game win streak. One win was against the dang Sacramento Kings. Y'all know that's my team getting waxed, slapped, taxed. Every game we get waxed, slapped, and to pause. But I'm just saying from a basketball standpoint. So that was one of the teams that beat the Golden State Warriors without Steph and without Porzingis. don't know, Kristof Porzingis, like do you ever play? And then they won against the Pelicans. They were down by eight in the fourth corner, went on to 24-7-1 to kind of fill that out. So now they play the Knicks this coming weekend. They got to play the Knicks on Sunday. 12.30 we'll see the Lakers for real. Please let us know in the comments because that's been the conversation now. I personally think with them being healthy, you got a starting five of Marcus Smart who's been, he's been feeling in better lately at the point guard position. You got Marcus Smart, you got Luca, you got Austin Reeves, you got LeBron James, Deandre Aiden. That's a pretty good starting five. Then you got Jared Vanderbilt coming off the bench playing some good D. You got Laravia coming off the bench. playing some good D, you can always bring in Max Kleba, you got Jackson Hayes. So I don't want to overreact to the Lakers, but in the seven game series with LeBron James, they definitely got a shot. And then also, but I can't say, you know, we also have the Oklahoma City Thunder, we got the Spurs, right? We got the Rockets who've been balling with KD revitalizing the Houston Rockets. They've been balling, okay? And then also on the Eastern Conference, you got the Detroit Pistons.
Lisa Renee: you
Ant WILD: holding strong at the number one seed. got the Celtics who I think Joe Masula needs to be considered heavily for coach of the year without having one of the top five, six best players in the league and Jason Tatum and still being second in the East, being able to really, really raise some noise. They did a whole overall pretty much with their roster. They traded around Horford. They traded with Kostas Porzingis who was mentioned earlier. They did a whole overhaul and hence they're still in second place. So Joe Mazzula is a heavy candidate for coach of the year and Jalen Brown needs to be in heavy conversation for MVP for how he's leading that team in the absence of Jason Taylor. So we're in the fourth quarter of NBA playoffs. Who do you think is for real? It's going down. It's really getting heated up. It's getting chippy out there on the court, which we like to see. We don't like to see all the coombi all. We want to see y'all out there balling. for the Timberwolves. He's always going to be bringing it shout out to the Hornets because they were down in the dumps and the young brother down there is doing this thing. They went on the night again. Win Street before All Star break. Then they're back on another five, six game win streak. We have 6 and 21 and now they're about to be at 500 themselves. Look at that turnaround. So shout out to Tai Lui, the Clippers who are a real threat. I think we got a really good fourth quarter of the season. We got about 22, 21 games left. Litigant of me, fourth quarter of the season. We'll see how it goes down.
Lisa Renee: Hey, thank you. Thank you aunt wheezy. Your voice kind of went out a little bit I heard it on my end It could have been my wi-fi if you guys heard that on your end. We do apologize. We are new ⁓ to the riverside platform shout out to riverside We normally use a different ⁓ tool for our podcasting So we're still kind of working out the kinks and things like that So we just ask that you give us a little bit to grace guys. So I want to talk about health right now. So if you're new to us, Aunt Wile and I, talk about celebrity news, we talk about sports, we give you inspiration, but we also talk about health. And this week we're gonna talk about stem cells. I thought it was really awesome, guys, for you guys to see. Now, I know for the podcasters that are listening, you won't be able to see the treatment that get done, but I'm gonna actually play a live stem cell. right here on another mother, ⁓ you're gonna see a foot specialist ⁓ actually insert a stem cell into a patient. My patient happens to be my fiance. So Dr. Jason Bell was kind enough to allow us to show this process. And the reason why it's passionate to me coming from a health standpoint, I think about Christopher Reeves. A lot of people used to talk about stem cells and all the great things it can do. ⁓ And I have seen in a short time how my fiance's foot is getting better. according to Dr. Jason Bell, you're going to hear some of the stuff he said. He's going to be like new in about two months. So guys, let's check out this clip. With Dr. Jason Bell, he is in Newark, Delaware. If you are having any foot issues and you like what you see and you hear, you should definitely go and check him out. Aunt Wow, let me know if you can see my screen. All right, here we go, guys. Alright guys, ⁓ my goodness, and wow, what did you think of it? Did you get squimish a little bit when you saw the shot go in his foot?
Ant WILD: ⁓ not as squeamish as I had anticipated because I do kind of squeamish about that stuff. ⁓ you know, I guess I don't know the focus on how well it can help the foot, I guess, over overweight me being squeamish about it.
Lisa Renee: Yeah, no, absolutely guys. And so if you are struggling with something, talk to your doctor about stem cells. You heard it from the doctor. He said for doing surgery based on the damage that the foot had, he could be off of his feet for 12 to 15 weeks. Now this cuts it down a significant time actually doing the stem cells. And so I just hope that by sharing this or, you know, more scientists will do more about the research of stem cells and how it can help, especially cancer patients because that is the one thing that we have not found a cure for and we lose so many people you know because of cancer so anyway guys let's get into some of our juicy stuff so I want to say a big congratulations to Michael B. Jordan who wins the NAACP Image Award ⁓ for best actor I also want to give a shout out to Nipsey Hustle ⁓ he has a Nipsey Hustle square Right now if you guys have not seen it and wow and I are going to share a little picture of that if you don't know Nipsey Hustle Nipsey Hustle ⁓ Is a rapper but he was more than that. You know what I mean? He was a voice and it wow We'll go into that a little bit but he really was a voice for the community and really tried to do things for His community and I think he had a I think a store ⁓ In the community he tried to keep it in the community and unfortunately ignorance ⁓ Took out his life and when I say ignorance, I don't mean the person I mean the act ⁓ Ignorance we lost we we lost a really strong ⁓ soldier. So congratulations to Michael B Jordan and also a big congratulations to Lorne London, their son together, his father will always be remembered now because of the Nipsey Hussle Square. Aunt Weezy?
Ant WILD: Very well deserved. Michael B. Jordan, very well deserved. He also won the Actor Award. for Best Actor as well, which was the SAG AFTRA Award and they changed it to the Actor Award. So he won Best Actor for that and then he won the Best Actor for the NAACP Awards as well. Sinners did a whole cleanup on both sides and it was just really dope to see, really well deserved. He did a phenomenal job in that movie playing the dual characters and really physically doing things to separate himself from
Lisa Renee: Yeah.
Ant WILD: both stack and smoke to where there were clear differences. Even though you're looking at the same person as you're watching the movie, you're fully immersed in the cinematic experience of two different people because that's how well he did distinguishing that and was thorough in those distinctions all the way throughout the movie. So I think there's a lot of praise that needs to be. ⁓
Lisa Renee: Mmm.
Ant WILD: know, throwing his way in regards to that. It's not just that he did a good job. He really went to work, put on his acting chops and really gave us a great cinematic performance as well as Delroy Leonardo as well as Wumey as well as Haley Steinfeld. The whole cast, like it was a very well put together cast. It was a very well executed movie. Ryan Coogler, Northern California stand up, Oakland, California. ⁓ Ryan did its thing. So huge shout outs to Michael B. Jordan and the whole cast and crew for Sinners.
Lisa Renee: Anomaly.
Ant WILD: And then Nipsey, I mean, what more can we say? I mean, Nipsey was, Nipsey was, know, Nipsey had two pox sized dreams. What I mean by that is, you know, it's unfortunate what happened. She said the, not the person, the act, but it's unfortunate because the media will then paint it as, ⁓ you know, he has gang ties and this was that situation. So yeah, that would help feed into the narrative. But Nipsey was really doing something, right? If I'm not mistaken, the day after he passed, he was scheduled to meet with the chief of the LA chief of police. Like he was really doing something. And the reason why I say Tupac's size dreams is if you can find it, because sometimes it's hard to find, but there's this conversation that Tupac had with Monster Cody Scott. Rest in Peace to Monster Cody Scott. Monster Cody Scott has one of the best books ever written. ⁓ It's called Monster. If you haven't read it, I've read that book like four times and every time I mention the book, I feel like I'm due for another read. It is very, it's a very graphic and I'm not talking graphic and gory. I'm talking about graphic and detail ⁓ in composition. It's a very graphic. autobiography of his story, how he came up in South Central Los Angeles and his whole world into the the Crip culture and all that kind of stuff. Well, Tupac had a long conversation with him that was recorded and he's talking about everything that he wants to do. And there was no way the system, you know, this is just I'm I'm taking this view. I'm not even putting this on Lisa Renee. This is a total and wild view with the influence that Tupac had. There was no way. in my opinion, the system was going to allow him to stay. You know what I'm saying? Because with him having the Thug Life persona and all that, guess what? Now you got the streets to fully buy in. There's an autobiography that he has. It's one of them. I believe it's Resurrection, but it was one of them. And he was like, at times I was really nervous because I really had everybody in the palm of my hands really willing to do whatever I said do. He was like, so that was came with a lot of responsibility. So that's why if you listen, if you ever listen to that conversation, you can hear what he's saying. You can hear he wasn't just, ⁓ know, street. He was like, no, we're going to get into the offices. We're going to really change. We're going to really start affecting change. We're going to really Tupac was super smart. We're gonna really get in here and start making these voters. It's like we say now, the way you hurt them is by getting into their pockets. Well, the way you hurt them is through votes and all that kind of stuff. He was really on that path. And that's why I say with Nipsey, Nipsey was on that path. He had a whole buy the block back initiative. Where the Marathon Clothing Store was, it's funny that you showed that picture because I think I'm an ascendant to the picture. I actually have a picture with my man C-dub. What up C-dub?
Lisa Renee: Mm-hmm.
Ant WILD: have a picture with CW in front of that very same picture that she just showed. ⁓ Nipsey was on that. He was going to buy that whole, he was already in process where Marathon Clothing Store was. He was already in the works of buying that whole, that whole establishment and then he was going to spread out. He had a whole buy the block back initiative.
Lisa Renee: Hmm Mm-hmm. It's ready.
Ant WILD: strictly aimed at taking control back of the places that we live in, back of the places that we gangbang in, and that we do when we claim that we don't have any ownership in. Now, if you're from South Central Los Angeles, and you're rolling 60s and all this kind of stuff, I'm just using that as an example, because that's what this was a part of. But if you're rolling 60s and all this kind of stuff, all right, well, cool. Well, we need to own all this stuff so we can really start set tripping, and then start set tripping on the right people as opposed to each other. Nip was on that. He was super duper on that. And guess what? Like Pac, he had the whole streets at his tap. because he was really a part of that. And he was really a part of his brethren. And he was really connected to his community. He was really about making sure that you see the unity. You see the unity he had with the Hispanic culture. You see the unity he had with the Bloods. You see the unity he had even with the different crypts that be funkin' with each other. You see the unity he had all throughout hip hop and how everybody messed with him. He was the quote unquote in their eyes, in the system's eyes, a very dangerous, this guy, right? Because he really, really had the power of the people behind him. And so Nip being honored in that way, it's only fitting. And shout out to Black Sam, his brother, because they just did the whole opening of Marathon Burger in Long Beach over the last past weekend. It was on Sunday, March 1st. Sunday, March 1st. ⁓ Snoop came out, YG came out, Stevie Wonder was there. It was a phenomenal event. Now there were some unfortunate circumstances that did happen, but we're not going to even highlight that because I don't want to take away from the moment that they had and how the marathon continues. But I will speak on this when it comes to the incident that happened. The revolution is being televised, y'all.
Lisa Renee: Yes, ma'am.
Ant WILD: The time is now. We're not talking about no future times anymore. When we're talking about apocalyptic times, possibly, when we're talking about certain system overtakings and the civil liberties that we've all been granted as a result of our forefathers and how they're in serious jeopardy now, the time is now. And guess what? The system hates when we put on events and they go great and everybody's loving each other and everybody's vibing. So we need to be taking a different approach on this. We are imperfect. I'm not saying you ain't gonna have no problem I'm not gonna say you ain't gonna see another brother and wanna slap him in his mouth because he gets on your nerve or because you have certain ties or something, things like that. But what I am saying is, is we have got to be better at placing this. Times like these need to be celebrated. It only helps us.
Lisa Renee: Mm-hmm.
Ant WILD: It only hurts us when people don't feel like, because guess what? It ain't just black people that's out there. There's people out there with their kids. There's people out there with, one of my close friends sent me the footage right after the incident happened. He's a upper middle-class white kid from Jersey, but he wanted to be out there because he's a part of the culture. He wanted to love and embrace. So this is bigger. This is a big thing. There's big things that are happening.
Lisa Renee: you
Ant WILD: and we need to take control of these things. We need to start borrowing the mindset of Felix Mitchell. If we don't understand, for those who don't know who Felix Mitchell is, Felix Mitchell was a kingpin drug dealer from Oakland, California back in the day. All right? So he does have that label on him. But what Felix Mitchell was about, what Felix Mitchell was about, he was very, very specific and stringent on This type of activity is going to only happen in these areas. It's not going to happen where schools are. It ain't going to happen where kids are. It ain't going to happen where women are. It ain't going to happen where elderly are. It's only going to happen in these areas. That's it. Don't go over there because it's bad stuff going on over there. But we are not going to allow it to trickle out everywhere else. And because he was the kingpin, because he was the boss, if you did act outside of them lines, you had heck to pay. Right? So. That's, we need to kind of get back to that. Hey man, look, man, I can't stand you. I'm gonna slap you in the face. I'm gonna do whatever. But right now you get a pass, but don't let me see you somewhere else because we need to be celebrating these events because. That's how Nipsey deserves to be honored. That's how our greats deserve to be honored. Nipsey didn't have to do anything he was doing. He used his platform and he used the influence of the people behind him just to make us doper, to make us flyer, to make us better in every way, in how we look, in how we present, in how we dress, in how we invest. So we have to keep that alive. We gotta keep it alive. We cannot allow these things to further illustrate why they portray us in a certain way. And then we get mad when they portray us in a certain way. We got to take control back. got to buy the, Nipsey was talking about buy the block back. We got to buy our image back. We got to own our image. We have to own the narrative. We cannot allow them to tell it anymore.
Lisa Renee: Absolutely, Aunt Wow. So one person is getting a new name and another person is dropping a name. So Allison Hoker, the ex, well, the former wife of Twitch. Twitch used to be on the Ellen show. If you do not remember him, his wife is getting married and people are up in arms. They feel like Twitch Just left by the s-word not even three years ago And you've been in a relationship with this person for two years and now you're getting married like are you moving too fast? But then on the other token Kimora's like honey get your new name, but guess what I'm dropping my name Kimora Lee will no longer become more Lee Simmons She is dropping Simmons from her name and as you guys know Kimora Lee I almost want to say Simmons again, but Kimora Lee as well as Russell Simmons have had a back and forth feud for many, many years here. But Kimora Lee is saying this is about clarity. This is about ownership. This is about stepping forward with intention. Listen, it's a free world. People can do what they want to do. And that's how I feel ⁓ on both cases. Aunt Weezy.
Ant WILD: Yeah, so as far as Allison, you know, yeah, he's been gone a little more than three years. You've been in a relationship around two years, which means there was a year there. I don't know. I can't tell people how to grieve. So I don't. You know, I kind of want to reserve judgment from that standpoint. I will say personally for me, just how I'm cut. And again, this is not the cast aspersions on Allison, but just how I'm cut, just how I move and how I process that seems to be that that that seems to be a little soon for me, especially considering the nature in which that. happened. You know, you lose your husband to the S word. If I were to lose my wife to the S word, you know, and having children and having this household with this person, it would take me a while. In a regular breakup where everybody's sane and happy, even if it's being amicable, it would take me a while to, you know, kind of get myself back and get back on the horse as far as that. Now dating or kind of having a little fun, that's one thing. But as far as, okay, look, I'm gonna let you into my my world in a certain way. And this and that and the third, especially considering you have kids that might be a little soon for me, but I'm talking about Anthony Charles. I'm not casting a spurgeance on Allison. So, you know, hey, listen, if you're happy, she said he brought joy back into the world. God bless you. So be it. You know, I know she had certain things with his family. There were kind of some disagreements. I'm sure they feel a certain way, even with respect in how he went. But, you know. We weren't there, so I can't really cast a lot of aspergents on and say, this is too soon, or this isn't. I just say everybody grieves differently. God bless them. With Kimora, she dropped Simmons' Lysner, actually. She dropped both names. Lysner is the husband who went to prison for all kind of extortion and stuff. He's in prison now, actually, ⁓ for a lot of his white-collar dastardly deeds. So I feel like for Kimora, ⁓
Lisa Renee: Thank You
Ant WILD: very smart business move because she said she just wanted her identity and she wanted her brand consolidated, which I can understand that. probably has in a lot of her brand, she probably has Kimora Lee Simmons and then in other parts of her brand, she has Kimora Lee Simmons' licensure because she hyphenated, she had Simmons and then hyphenated that as well. And she's probably like, look, I got in a strange relationship with you, Russell. I got a strange relationship with you. I forgot his first name, Todd, I think, but I got a strange relationship with you because you in prison, let me go on and just take all my ownership back. It's easy. It makes everything consolidated that way. Going forward, everything is just Kamora Lee. And I highly doubt if she were to ever find love again that she would take anybody's name. It's probably going to be Kamora Lee going out, to be honest with you, just to keep it simple. So I think that was a very smart business move from that standpoint.
Lisa Renee: Absolutely. Absolutely. I agree. And Law Roach sparked marriage rumors about Zendaya and Tom Holland. Well, was it his place to share that they were married? You guys drop your thoughts in the comments. Anthony, what do you think about this?
Ant WILD: I... Well, it's not his place to share, number one. However, he may have gotten the green light to do so, and that's what I hope for his sake and for her sake and for Tom's sake, for the sake of them. I hope that he got the green light to do so, which is why he said it. I hope he wasn't just being sassy. and saying, y'all missed it, wedding's over, and just kind of walking off. And then they're sitting here like, yo, because I know him and Zendaya, that's his stylist. That's her stylist, Zendaya's stylist. Shout out to Zendaya. Here we go, Northern California in the building again. She from Oakland as well with her pretty light skin. ⁓ So with respect to the relationship they have, how close they are, for his sake, I would hope that he didn't spill the beans and she's hot because
Lisa Renee: Mm-hmm. You You
Ant WILD: You know, sometimes when it comes to a trust like that, it's kind of hard to get it back. So I hope that he had the green light. If he did not have the green light, it absolutely was not his place to share because they kept it private for a reason. So, yeah.
Lisa Renee: Absolutely. And if you guys, if they are married, we want to say congratulations to Tom and Zendaya. Also congratulations to Alison too, as well in regards to her engagement. Now guys, Cardi B versus Tasha K, the legal battle continues. So if you guys don't know who Tasha K is, if you're in the YouTube world, you should know. Really Tasha K is like the Wendy Williams of YouTube, but Cardi B sued her many years back.
Ant WILD: for sure.
Lisa Renee: Cardi B1, Tasha K is on a payment schedule paying Cardi like four million back in total is what she's supposed to pay her. What the monthly payments are, I don't know. I know many times Tasha K has said, I don't have it. However, there are a lot of businesses that Tasha K does have, like she has an application she's built. She's on all the networks, any streaming form network. Tasha Kay is on it too ⁓ as well. So she's doing movies, she's been on reality shows, so she's really turned the influencer lifestyle into an empire. And I think Cardi B is like, hey girl, give me my money. Rummy my checks, sis. Some people are like, Cardi, you're on tour. Excuse me, you got money, leave her alone. Like what's the big deal? But you guys let me know, drop your thoughts in the comments. Aunt Wow, should she run her money? Or does Cardi B really don't need the money? What do you think?
Ant WILD: When you sing it, you run it, run it. When you sing it, you... No. I have two thoughts on this. First of all, Cardi ain't hurting for no money. So let's just go on and all the way say she wasn't hurting money before this tour started. And now that the tour started, she's doing big numbers, is getting well received, that she's moving through her tour dates. So, and I'm sure she's getting a good whoop every single...
Lisa Renee: Mm. to a good.
Ant WILD: tour date. So she ain't hurting for the money. So then the question is, is this about money or is it about kind of accountability? I would hope for the sake of the position Cardi B is in that it's about accountability. Like look, at the end of the day, you know, we went through these proper channels. I'm holding you accountable X, Y, and Z. However, in her defense, if it is about the money, she does owe it. You know I'm saying? Like she does owe the money and no matter what situation I'm in, it doesn't change the fact that you are delinquent, running them in. But I hope that it's about accountability simply because, you know, being in this space. We're up in commerce to y'all, but me and Lisa are super veterans when it comes to this. But we're up in commerce to you guys when we fully understand that. So we had to, for whatever reason, have to come up with a payment like that. Yeah, that would stifle our come up drastically, right? And so I fully do get that, in which case. I understand the sentiment people have like, man, leave that girl alone, man. She over here just trying to do what she can do. You already got your lane. You already been you big, bad and bold and doing your thing and getting your props and, like I said, you set on out, you're doing your thing and all props and glory to her for real, for real. Leave that girl alone. You know, and I understand that sentiment. Like the human side of me is like, man, leave her alone. Let's stall her out. You know what I mean? Like, let the girl live. She's just trying to do her thing. third. But I do understand, listen, Cardi B's whole and her team's rebuttal to that is, look, listen, we went to court. I did the whole legal thing. I'm not checking it. I'm not on her because I'm just saying I'm on her and give me no. We went to court. There were legal proceedings. This was ordered. Run me my scrilla scratch. So it's kind of like I see both sides of the fence.
Lisa Renee: You better have my money! Yeah, no, absolutely guys. ⁓ you know, before we get into our inspirational quote, just prayers out to people who have been impacted by this attack. As you guys know, there was a big leader in Iran whose life was taken and because of that there are being attacks all over. And my heart breaks for the family, the innocent people whose blood is being shedded. I know a lot of American people have lost their life and Big P has basically said there are going to be more catastrophes. And so just prayers go out to the innocent people that are impacted by that. And I just pray for world peace, Aunt Weezy.
Ant WILD: I could not echo that sentiment more.
Lisa Renee: Yeah, there we go. All right guys, so let's get into our inspirational quote for the week. I thought it was very ⁓ pertinent to use this person considering what's going on in our world. This is from Mahatma Gandhi. He said, an eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind. Again, an eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind. So when I think about this story, I think about, was watching crime ID earlier in the day. This man's wife had cheated on him. He ended up taking her life, unfortunately. So it was an eye for an eye. You did this to me. I'm going to do this to you. And whenever you are an eye for an eye and you are working in negative energy, a negative plus a negative equals a negative, right? ⁓ And now not only are two lives just impacted one life is no longer here another one is locked up in jail We have a little girl who's been impacted by this situation Because people wanted to take an eye for an eye now the wife was wrong. I get it Understand the husband was hurt I get that but no one has a right to take somebody else's life So just realize when they say an eye for an eye
Ant WILD: you
Lisa Renee: And I feel like why Mahatma Gandhi is saying, you know, it just makes you blind to it. This is why I always say, look through the eyes of love. Look through the eyes of love. Even when someone does something to you, it's like, let me just give them grace and just try to look through the eyes of love because I know that nothing bad that I do to somebody is going to ever give me something good back. Wheezy.
Ant WILD: Yes, the saying in itself I do agree with, 1000%. And the example you gave, the eye for an eye actually would have been if he went and did the same thing, not take her life. Like, you know what I'm saying? you know, go, right, well, shit, she cheated on you, man, go on and get you something then. Or make a decision on how you're to roll with that, right?
Lisa Renee: I'm
Ant WILD: I understand it could be a crime of passion. get that. know, who knows what led up to that? Again, we don't know, but I'm just saying, I promise you this, especially when there's a kid involved in this specific situation, I promise you this, it wasn't worth that. She wasn't worth that. And I'm not saying she wasn't worth that to demean her in any way. What I am saying is, is you carrying that out, that act out on her, she wasn't worth that. She didn't deserve that.
Lisa Renee: Thank you. Mm-mm. Right.
Ant WILD: based on her doing that. And she wasn't worth now you being in prison for the rest of your days and your child now being without two parents. She wasn't worth that. That's what I mean. I'm not saying, she wasn't worth, I'm just saying she wasn't worth that. All those consequences are just laid out. know, go on and get you some, go on and be messy, X, Y, and Z, but don't do that. So I agree with that. And in any scenario, that same...
Lisa Renee: Mm-hmm.
Ant WILD: at its foundation is true. What I will say is I do understand being human. There are exceptions to the rule, right? That's just being real. I'm not advocating anything. This is the first time I think I've ever had anything contradictory to even say about a quote, especially with Gandhi, because I love Gandhi, right? So especially when it comes to Gandhi, because I love Gandhi.
Lisa Renee: Mm-hmm.
Ant WILD: There are exceptions to the rule. And I'm not saying those exceptions to the rule are correct. I'm just saying the reality of it is there are exceptions to the rule, right? Let's just keep it a buck. So with that said, and we don't even got to go through all those exceptions to the rule scenario, this scenario that we all know there are exceptions to the rule. I'm not advocating those exceptions to the rule, me just being human and talking to y'all straightly and not trying to be cool by y'all and being unrealistic. There are exceptions to the rule. Let's keep it a thaw while.
Lisa Renee: Yeah
Ant WILD: We have kids, we have parents, we have all these things. Something happens. Let's just keep it a buck. You know, it's going to be, you know, you'd be doing the right thing to just not sit there. But if you did something, if something happened, there's exceptions to the rules. So again, we're not going to go down that. What I will say is this. It's sayings like this, however, that do re-emphasize the importance of good decision making. And a lot of the good decisions that we make, are surrounded by the people we choose to be surrounded by and that we let into our bubbles in a certain way. Number one being significant others, since we're already talking about significant others. Number one being significant others. If you are with somebody that has you volatile, has you unrested in your existence, has you... unstable, has you impulsive. If they are bringing these things out of you, it'd be a wise decision to not be around that person because then that person is going to have you act in a way that falls under the eye for an eye category. And you won't be able to be in a mindset that says, know what, I'm going let you live. I'm going go ahead and do my thing. Hey man, I'm gonna go this way, you go that way, piece to you, or middle finger to you, or whatever that is. But you get up out of there. That's why it's important to surround yourself with someone who brings out other qualities about you other than that, because then that will help prevent you making eye for an eye decisions. If you have certain friends that you hang with, if they are always in some mess, or if they are always drumming up some mess, or if their reaction to situations is always negative or you, the main conversations you have with that person are about negative events, even if that person is not negative. If the time that you're on the phone with that person, you guys just had a long conversation and you really go through the contents of that conversation and everything about the conversation was negative, even if that person wasn't being negative or something like that. If they... If you're talking and they're talking about somebody and there's a negative situation and you guys have or you reminisce about a situation, it's a negative situation and all that kind of stuff and these are the people that you surround yourself with, then guess what? Internally, even more subconscious than your own knowledge, you're going to react to things in an impulsive and negative way. So that's going to have you in a situation where you are probably going to be more prone to act out. in an eye for an eye situation. Your eye for an eye is going to be more of your reaction as opposed to cooler heads prevailing and moving on. So when you make the decision to limit those things around you, it helps. Now it doesn't eliminate because you can't control everybody and everything, but it definitely helps you be in a position to where you have to react like that. Less. Lisa have known me for years. It's 22, 23 years that we've known each other. She can attest to this because there's a lot of times there's been people and I've said off the rip, yeah, not really feeling that person. And it turns out I was right. And the reason why is it's really about me. Obviously, I felt that the person was a piece of crap. I'm being joking, but whatever. But it was really about me and what it was about more than anything. Even if that person wasn't a P, they could have been totally fine. I just knew, I know me. I already know I got, there's this, there's this, there's this, everybody got a go person, right? And I am cool. I love to laugh. I am all those things. But that go person stay on my helmet. He stay, he ready. He want action now. Hey, give me, let me in the game coach. We got smoke, we got beef, we got funk. Let's go. Let's, I, ⁓ I want to get, hey. He's dancing on the bench. Put me in coach. I got something for this. I gotta play for this. Let's run and play for this. I gotta keep that cat at bay. So in order to keep him at bay, I'm like, I don't wanna engage him too much. I see certain things about you. They gonna make me react a certain way. Cause I'm human at the end of the day. Like I started this whole soliloquy. They gonna make me react a certain way. Let me just go on the backup off of you. You don't even gotta know I'm backing up off of you. I'm just.
Lisa Renee: Yeah.
Ant WILD: I'm cool because if I stay in this situation with you, there's close friends I don't deal with anymore. Simply because of that. I love him to death. It hasn't changed anything about him. I just know if we continue to be in this, I don't want to be sitting here fussing and tussling and tussling and arguing with you all the time. You're going to make me react a certain way. Let me go on and get up out of there. So that's my, I understand there are exceptions to the rule. In summary, That's why I'm putting the emphasis on smart decision making, because believe it or not, it drastically eliminates a lot of situations where you have to act in a way that resembles an eye for an eye reaction.
