00:01:55
Speaker 5: Man?
00:01:55
Speaker 3: You know, good to be back. Got the clearest guys and palm trees. It is ever out here, so it's feeling good.
00:02:03
Speaker 2: Baby TV got a smile on his face right now. Y'all finally got y'all California mother back because well, don't get the sunshine, man, he is not the same person for everybody that does not know that. But yeah, man, you know what, I've just been on the AU circuit.
00:02:21
Speaker 5: Man. My daughter is just playing basketball.
00:02:25
Speaker 2: I think that this is the first time I've been slept in my own bed in like six weeks because it's just AU basketball, AU basketball.
00:02:37
Speaker 5: And man, it's been a ride. But at the same.
00:02:40
Speaker 2: Time, it's taxing and tired, traveling every weekend. So for everybody that's listening, and that's where what we have been doing. And man, it's great. It's good to be back on the mic and with you guys. Man, and football has officially start, indeed.
00:03:01
Speaker 4: And speaking of football starting, let's let's get let's get to it. Which one y'all want to start with? Y'all want to start with Tour y'all want to start with Love. Both of them are in uh well, a different financial situation than what they were the last time we've spoken, but they've gotten their contracts done and obviously one is of the tune of two hundred and twelve point four, uh that's Tua and and then ultimately we see mister Jordan Jordan Love getting his contract at around estimated a two hundred and twenty million dollars.
00:03:46
Speaker 5: Which one who y'all want to start with?
00:03:48
Speaker 3: Man, we can just put them together because it's the same agency. Athletes first, there you go, you're just athletes first. Your Love Noah, I just I know on my train a lot of the guys. You know, I train anybody. If you if you're gonna pay me, your client gonna get trained. And you know, when you and when you deal with them, when they say what's the price, it's no negotiation. Okay, we got you. What's the price? TJ is this okay? Say let's basically that's what it is. And so I train a lot of their guys. But Ryan Williams with Tua obviously the greatest and well Laghetta with.
00:04:29
Speaker 5: Jordan love for Tua.
00:04:33
Speaker 3: It's it's good for him because he comes into the league with all this acclaim and promise, and with Brian flor As is the head coach, it would seem as if it's gonna be a bust because Brian.
00:04:48
Speaker 5: Flores didn't believe in him. He didn't play well.
00:04:51
Speaker 3: And then it was an immediate switch when Mike McDaniel became the head coach. Tua got his kind it's back, and then that second year he just really took a leap led the league in passing. And so for Tua to come in and be at Alabama and have all this acclaim and get to the league, and it was like whoa. It doesn't look like this is gonna be the tool that we all witnessed at Alabama to get that back and now have this type of contract. I'm happy for anybody that gets paid, man, your family, because there's a lot of work that goes into being a really good football player. As you all both know, it's a lot of work man, behind the scenes. You wake up plenty of days like I don't want work, I gotta work out, I'm gonna go work, And it's day after day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. It's constant. And so for Toua, the work, the belief because it's hard to lose your confidence and get it back and be the league leader. So kudos to him. And for Jordan Love Man, it's just a tip of iceberg for him. Didn't start the season well and then just literally exploded midway through the season into the playoffs. You go into Dallas and you pretty much man handled the Cowboys. I mean that wasn't even a game you look at the score, but earlier that wasn't a game. Manhandle them. And then let's just be honest, man, you're telling me that second game, that second playoff game against the nine Ers.
00:06:31
Speaker 5: They had it. They should have won, the game, should have won.
00:06:34
Speaker 3: They literally had the game won. And so with Jordan Love, he's just getting started. You said, three years behind Aaron Rodgers, and now you understand how to win in this league, how to win big games in this league. And so, man, I'm happy for both of them, their families. They have generational wealth almost half a billion dollars in contracts between the two players. Man, So congratulations of both of them, well deserved.
00:07:08
Speaker 2: Man, all that you just said, man, but it comes with expectations, man, it really does. Uh, you know, if your tour, uh, you know, you can't sit back and and and and make the you know, the weather in Kansas City an excuse for you know, going on and performing well. Now you're one of the top highest paid quarterbacks in the league, amongst the the Joe Burrows and and uh, you know, now, Jordan Love, I can't even say that Trevor Lawrence is one of the best quarterbacks. But that's where the quarterback market is right now. But if you're you're if you're tour and you go back to what you just said, was he going to be a bus and you look at the quarterbacks, and you look at the wide receivers they play with.
00:08:00
Speaker 5: Hey, hey, y'all forget that.
00:08:01
Speaker 2: And he played with Jaylen Wadle and Davante Smith and Jamison Williams at Alabama and you come into the league and you know you you don't have those guys on the outside and make you look like the Tour that you were Alabama.
00:08:16
Speaker 5: But now Tyreek Hill is inserted into the max.
00:08:19
Speaker 2: You still have Jayleen Wata and that's why he is going to continue to be the guy that we saw at.
00:08:27
Speaker 3: Did he did he have John Mitchi also? Did you say that, Yes, those are the guys that he had at wide receivers. So when he was throwing the football, these guys were five or six five or six yards wide open because because nobody.
00:08:43
Speaker 5: Could cover them.
00:08:44
Speaker 2: And so I believe that Tour is going to He's going to be a good quarterback moving forward.
00:08:51
Speaker 5: But can you sit here and say that no worries or concerns.
00:08:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, am C. Now that you Roger, you still have Josh Allen. So where are the Dolphins? But they needed a franchise quarterback. There's nowhere else to go. So Tour was the decision and the right person or quarterback for this job. So I didn't really see him going anywhere because it's only thirty two teams, or where are you going to find another franchise quarterback. You got your guy, You got Tyrick Hills going to need a contract next year, and you just paid Jaylen Wadle seventy something plus million dollars and guaranteed money.
00:09:34
Speaker 5: So so he's going to be your guy. But every and.
00:09:38
Speaker 2: Jordan Love, I've said this, this young man is going to be the next superstar in this league. Man, he really is. You're talking about Romeo dobbs Au, Jayden Reed, Michigan State, Christian Washson, he is Wicks with no district back to any of these men when I say this, they're not household names being elite wide receivers. True, He's going to make these young men great, a good players. That is the quality of a great quarterback. Taking these young men who I just mentioned and make them I'm taking the Green Bay.
00:10:26
Speaker 4: Packers to win the NFC North Division. Keep saying that that's interesting. You know what, Aaron Rodgers didn't have household names and as receivers, you know, and that's pretty interesting that he turned them. I mean they turned themselves. Of course, they turned themselves into household names. Yeah, I mean Donald Driver was there, but when you talk about like Greg Jennings and Jonesy and them, you know, them dudes weren't household names but turned out to be like to me, hall of fame caliber, hall of fame level type type of receivers in the So, I mean, I look at Jordan Love and his scenario in his situation, and I find it to be pretty pretty exciting just because you don't know what his upside is. I think we've gotten a glimpse of what he can be and what he can look like, and we really don't, you know. I always talk about branding, all this branding, branding, know who people are, like, make sure people know who you are it is, and that I don't think we know who Jordan Love is yet, you know, I don't think we know who he is as a Red outside of the game. He's very very it's just been very kind of mysterious almost so to speak, like he's almost like, you know, the kid Wonder comes out of nowhere and now you're we're starting to talk about him and then boom, not too long after getting in there and getting activated, he gets a new contract. So I would say, for Jordan Love, if I'm saying it from an old, old school, purest approach, doesn't it seem like that's just the way it should have always He's been how it should be. Some guys should play right away. I really do think some guys should play right away. But from our era and time, that was like few and far in between, and that wasn't supposed to be an insult if you didn't play right away.
00:12:15
Speaker 5: It was really all about the development, you know what I mean.
00:12:20
Speaker 4: So now you have the development of Jordan Love, and you've seen him go through the process of learning sitting for a time, and it doesn't have to mean that, oh he's not playing, he's not playing enough.
00:12:32
Speaker 5: He's a bust. He's a bust, it's a bus. Time to move on. He's something behind one of the greatest quit and and that's the thing.
00:12:41
Speaker 3: If you're going to sit, LeVar, you have to sit behind somebody that you truly are learning from and everybody knows and he's better than you.
00:12:53
Speaker 2: It's not Jordan Love like a carbon copy of what Anne Rogers is. I mean, man, yes, throwing the football and understanding coverages, wasn't. It wasn't Aaron Rodgers when he became the starter, somewhat like Brett farre And so as as Jordan Love plays more, he will evolve. He will still have a bit of Aaron Rodgers in but now his own attributes will kind of start. You'll start to see more of it. But yeah, when when you're playing with a great player, if you don't pick up things from him, you're an idiot.
00:13:29
Speaker 5: But Jordan, like Georde, Love, been doing a lot.
00:13:31
Speaker 3: He just recently got engaged, so congrats on that. But he's a quiet dude. Man, He's a quiet to himself.
00:13:38
Speaker 5: Dude.
00:13:38
Speaker 3: Just want to go about his business and ball.
00:13:42
Speaker 2: I want to go back to what you were just saying. Maybe we can push his own into the next.
00:13:47
Speaker 5: Let's go to the next segment with it.
00:13:48
Speaker 2: But you just said you we're not sure who Jordan Love is and what you just said, Yeah, so.
00:13:55
Speaker 5: Who is Trevor Lawrence. We're not sure.
00:13:59
Speaker 4: We have more of a we have more of a scope of who he is because we got to know him when he was in college.
00:14:05
Speaker 5: That's what I would say.
00:14:05
Speaker 4: His brand was built out very well, was developed very well while he was at Clemson, and so we have an idea who Trevor Lawrence is as the person because of the stories and the coverage and the development of his brand brand in college. We did not get that from Jordan Love. We don't really know who Jordan Love is, you know. And it's now his name is now resonating, it's it's ringing, it's it's buzzing. Now it's connected to a tremendously large contract. So now I do believe the question becomes, who is Jordan Love. We know him as the quarterback for a Green Bay Packers team that finished out the season as strongly as they did.
00:14:49
Speaker 5: But who's Jordan Love?
00:14:50
Speaker 4: You know, I think that that's that's something that is is a pretty interesting quarterback in NFL history.
00:14:58
Speaker 5: Amen.
00:14:59
Speaker 4: Amen, We're going wanna keep this conversation going and and just maybe we're gonna sprinkle in a little bit of a quarterback. We do know he came up in this segment. We're gonna throw some some Aaron Rodgers in there. This could be a whole entire hour of talking about quarterbacks because we're gonna get to Dak Prescott as well. You're listening to up on game Uh that is plexico Burds. We call him Stretch Armstrong around here. You know, superheroes, you know how that goes. You gotta have a dope name. And then obviously there's panteen Man as well.
00:15:29
Speaker 5: That's t J.
00:15:29
Speaker 4: Huschmanzata. I'm Leavar Arrington. I don't happen to have a superheroes name, but it's all right. I'm I'm here with them. I'm here to just assist and let them get it in the way that they do. All right, we're gonna take a quick break this Fox Sports Radio.

We're live from the tyrack dot com studio. It's myself LeVar Arrington, it's t J. Huschmansada, it's plex Coo Burst. We've been talking quarterbacks, Jordan Love, we're talking to a Let's keep the conversation going on, but let's add a twist to it, because there's the conversation of we left off with the idea of mysteriousness and not knowing who Jordan Love is. His brand is not really developed, his identity within the league is not really developed. But Aaron Rodgers is his His His identity is connected to a whole lot of success, but also to some some kind of disappointment in some regards. It's connected to criticisms, It's connected to scrutiny, It's connected to a lot of things. And you know what, Aaron Rodgers had some interesting things.
00:18:11
Speaker 5: To say about it. Fellas, here's what he had to say.
00:18:13
Speaker 4: Let's take a listen, let's add Aaron Rodgers into the conversation.
00:18:16
Speaker 8: The thing that I think people don't understand is that when when I was in the NFC North and playing for that team years ago, there used to be a real thing called mini camp where it was you had one of them. Usually sometimes it's right up for the draft, but either way it was five practices and three days Friday, Saurday, Sunday. So two practice on Friday, two on Saturday, and.
00:18:37
Speaker 5: One on Sunday. Now it's not mini camp.
00:18:40
Speaker 8: They can arbitrarily put a tag on whatever week of OTA's they want. So this is the mini camp week, which makes it somehow more mandatory than the other weeks. But it was an OTA schedule. That's how it's You know how words can be a little deceiving From time to time. You can make a story of the fact that I missed aim Mini camp when it was really two ODA days, right, interest, I came to the first ten.
00:19:05
Speaker 4: All right, that was from part in my take. Now fellas to me Aaron Rodgers he speaks in a way. He speaks in a tone where he could be like a hypnotist or you know, a therapist of some sort. I think he's perfected and does an amazing job of being able to represent himself and how he feels. He doesn't speak in a way where it's divisive or you could actually pinpoint saying like you know, he's a d bag or anything like that. You actually listen, it's like kind of like he's given you some interesting perspective. In ways to think about what it is that he's doing. But it only applies to him when you think about Aaron Rodgers' body of work and what he's got going on. I don't think that you make a big deal out of Aaron Rodgers not being there for the too many camp days, But in some circles the conversation does continue to linger going into training camp that there could be something there about the commitment issues, and for some they think that his his way of saying things is really kind of like stick, like he thinks he's smarter than you or you know, he can get away with what he wants to get away with.
00:20:22
Speaker 5: Or at least feels as though he can. How do you guys shit?
00:20:25
Speaker 4: Because I think he's built a brand based on on accomplishment and achievement, but also staying ahead of the curve in terms of how he wants to represent himself and how he's seen within the media.
00:20:40
Speaker 3: Man listen, unless things are completely changed from when we played listen OTAs or OTA's and many camp days or many camp.
00:20:51
Speaker 5: Days, I don't I don't understand this.
00:20:53
Speaker 3: Uh it's x amount of Uh these are the OTA days and then you can change.
00:20:59
Speaker 5: I call it what it is.
00:21:00
Speaker 2: Dog was a bunch of gibberous. That's what happens when you're forty years old.
00:21:04
Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm like, you know the OTA days, and you know when it's mandatory mini camp everybody knows. Everybody knows, and so unless on the schedule those mini camp days said OTA days, I don't understand how you can get confused with those days.
00:21:25
Speaker 5: Now.
00:21:26
Speaker 4: I don't think he sounds like he's confused. I think he knows it.
00:21:30
Speaker 5: Scene not confused at all.
00:21:32
Speaker 3: He made it scenes properly, made it seem as if he thought they were Ota days when he took his trip.
00:21:40
Speaker 5: I believe to Egypt Like, there's no difference between what one to the other anymore.
00:21:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, mini camp is mandatory. OTA's is voluntary mascatory. And so from from that perspective, just just say I was gonna take a trip.
00:21:57
Speaker 5: It fell on this date.
00:21:58
Speaker 3: I had a bunch of friends going, and they can only make it on these dates.
00:22:02
Speaker 5: And so that's what it is. That's all you have to say.
00:22:07
Speaker 3: And so I look at it as he's trying to fool people that don't really know what's going on. I felt he should have been there now him being there, to me, it doesn't really matter.
00:22:19
Speaker 5: It's not gonna make him play better. It's the leadership.
00:22:23
Speaker 3: It's the guy that's on the team that right now isn't he can't do these type of things that Aaron Rodgers is doing. But it's in him. And if he ever becomes that guy, you're gonna see it come out because he's seeing Aaron Rodgers get away with it and do it. So now when it's his turn and that type of mentality is in him, he's going.
00:22:46
Speaker 5: To do it.
00:22:47
Speaker 3: That's why you always need great leadership because if your best players are great leaders, they're responsible, they can be coached no what age, no matter what age, no matter your status, nobody else is gonna fall out of line.
00:23:05
Speaker 5: Nobody else is quote uncle.
00:23:07
Speaker 3: Gonna break the rules because they see the leader doing everything the right way.
00:23:12
Speaker 4: But if that's every starter going to take trips and do this during the time you're supposed to be out of mandatory a mandatory gathering.
00:23:20
Speaker 5: For it, it's a problem.
00:23:21
Speaker 4: You can't But you can't have a problem if you made it okay for the lead dog to do it when he did it.
00:23:27
Speaker 3: And that's exactly my point. Yeah, and so it's not gonna change their season. It's not gonna, Oh the Jets have a bad season now because Aaron Rodgers didn't know. If the Jets don't play well, it would not be because of that. This is just you think it's a precursor. It's a precursor. Why won't it Tuzu. I think it's a precursor because ultimately, if Aaron Rodgers is healthy, the Jets are gonna play well. The Jets almost made the playoffs on the back of their defense. If Aaron Rodgers is a healthy quarterback, the Jets, they're gonna make a run at this.
00:24:05
Speaker 5: But the problem is that AFC is a blood bath.
00:24:07
Speaker 3: So it's like you got seven, eight, nine other teams making a run at it also, but don't have as good of a chance as anybody.
00:24:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, man, listen, Aint Rodgers forty years old. I mean he is a part of who we are, you know, going into training camps, what the real training camps and what the real many camps were when we were playing. He is from our era of players, and he knows where the NFL currently is and the state that is in as far as what he needs to do and where he needs to be to go out and be Aaron Rodgers. It's not like it used to be. I mean, I think we can all agree to that. But the fact that he went to Joe Douglass, Robasala and this organization and he told them that listen, I have this trip plan, I'm going whatever, and Roberts Salla and Joe Douglas they still manage to schedule the mini camp on the time that he's going to be away because the head coach makes those decisions of when he wants to hold his camp, and Robert Salah chose to do it on that weekend.
00:25:29
Speaker 5: As far as from what.
00:25:29
Speaker 2: I understand, they he said this, he told them in January. So the fact that they still went on to do this and now we're still talking about him not being there for a mini.
00:25:43
Speaker 5: Camp unnecessary confusion. Dude.
00:25:46
Speaker 3: I have a hard time believing if I tell you a I plan on taking this in January, can you move.
00:25:53
Speaker 5: It around, that they wouldn't move it around.
00:25:55
Speaker 9: They do that for a nine quarterback, let alone the corporate I don't understand. At one hundred and you know what, and the crazy thing about it is, offensively, you didn't get better because Garrett Wilson and Alazard and all of these and Breist Hall and the offensive line, and you're rebuilding this new group of office alignment, Garrett Wilson and these wide receivers and Alas the guy that's taking the snaps.
00:26:26
Speaker 2: It's not going to be the guy that's gonna throw it in the ball door in the season. So you didn't get any better. So now basically Aaron Rodgers is on a one year deal and.
00:26:35
Speaker 4: Thinks that he's good enough to just show I mean all intensive purposes. He thinks he's just good enough to just show up and be good enough. He is the offense when he gets there.
00:26:48
Speaker 2: And so one year contract that he has for the New York Jets right now.
00:26:53
Speaker 3: He's good enough. Now let's act like he can play. He's good enough for four plays last year. And I'm not saying and listen, I don't, I don't. I don't pretend to say like that wasn't a freak accident that took place. But he is getting older and the mind where the mind can be wanting and willing and able the body sometimes that you know, I mean not to quote the the you know, the former great uh you know, you know singer that is now, you know, kind of disgraced with what he's done. But my mind's telling me, what, But my body telling me you know what I mean, my mind's telling me yeah, but my body's telling me my body, my body is telling me no.
00:27:38
Speaker 5: Who. So I'm just saying I don't I don't know.
00:27:42
Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know that he's going to hold up and be the guy that leads this team into into a long, prosperous season. I just don't see it that way. But listen, listen, here's what we're gonna do. This is such a great conversation. And I know we were ringing through the barbershops, wearing your car, wearing your head while you're on on Trent Mill, while you're on your your hike, your walk. Right now, just hold on for two seconds, because we're gonna give you a little bit of trending, a little bit of an update, and we're gonna keep this conversation going on. So we're gonna let my man Brian Finley take us away on this update.
00:28:16
Speaker 10: What you got, Hey, guys, what's going on?
00:28:18
Speaker 5: Hey? Hey, hey, all right.
00:28:22
Speaker 10: Guess what we have. We've got some Olympics going on right now. And in Paris and Team USA. Let's start here. I don't think there's ever been an update started with men's table tennis for the United States, but we're gonna go there.
00:28:32
Speaker 5: Oh, that would be correct, That would be very.
00:28:34
Speaker 10: Correct till now, until now, there's a first for everything. Kannock Jaw hopefully I said that name right, Who's that connock Jaw? He is with TUSA. He is playing some ping pong here. He's up two games to none, actually just one picked up a third game here against Moldova's Vladislav Yoursa, so that one is going down to the wire or it could be just about over with Team USA. Well, in front, we are watching Olympic Basket of All take place. France is up forty six to forty one against Brazil. That's about halfway through the third quarter. Victor Webman Yama fourteen first half points. He still has fourteen points in this game, six to eleven from the floor. And earlier in this game, one of Brazil's.
00:29:14
Speaker 5: Own and his name is Mazina.
00:29:16
Speaker 10: Pereira, absolutely embarrassed Rudy Gobert, dunking it right in his face. And it's something that Rudy Gobert will be thinking for thinking about for the rest of his life in the most embarrassing of ways. Earlier, Germany beating Japan ninety seven to seventy seven. Ruey Hachi More, of course we all know him twenty points for Japan. Australia with a win against Spain ninety two to eighty. Josh Giddy seventeen points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Greek and Canada on the court. They're going to be playing at three Eastern time. It's the first time that Canada will be playing an Olympic basketball game since two thousand, so quite a ways from it's been so long for them since they've been at this level, in this stage and quickly, really I want to mention here. Joelle Embiid did not take part in practice today for Team USA men's basketball because of an ill Anthony Davis mis missed some practice time as well as he's dealing with an illness, and this of course on the heels of Team USA opening up their Olympic play on Sunday tomorrow again Serbium against Nicole j Okitchen. Lastly, guys, the forty nine ers are going to be sunning. According to reports Falcons free agent wide receiver Frank Darby to a one year contract as what we have right here in the newsroom. In the meanwhile, let's get it back to TJ. Houshmanzada, Plexigville Burris and Leva Errington.
00:30:29
Speaker 5: Appreciate you, fens.
00:30:30
Speaker 4: All right, all right, listen, we want to give our thanks to Rapid Radios, the official communication device of Fox Sports Radio. He has a way of speaking out and getting his message out there through the media.
00:31:34
Speaker 5: Whether it's through the McAfee.
00:31:36
Speaker 4: Show or any other platforms he's in maya estimation, he's as good as anyone in sports.
00:31:45
Speaker 5: Lebron James is great at it.
00:31:47
Speaker 4: I mean he's created his own media empire off of communicating and building a brand where you can trust him and his word over other other sources.
00:31:59
Speaker 5: That may report against him.
00:32:02
Speaker 4: Now enter the conversation of a Lamar Jackson and a Dak Prescott, two guys that are obviously one is waiting for a new contract. And while he may fall under intense scrutiny and Dak Prescott he does win.
00:32:19
Speaker 5: He is a solid leader.
00:32:20
Speaker 4: You don't hear of any type of confusion or any type of discussions that may lead you to believe that you have bad feelings towards a Dak Prescott and Lamar Jackson. You have his coach coming out and saying he will go down in history as the greatest, not one of He states that he will be the greatest QB ever to play. And he has at times had some scrutiny towards him in terms of you know, being present for practices in the offseason, or you know, missing games or because of illness or what missing time because of illness or whatever it may be. There has been some scrutiny on Lamar Jackson not being able to well, both of them not being able to get it done in the biggest games of the season. So then now you add in another layer of a quarterback at a high level franchise quarterbacks and trying to figure out where do they fit in the grand scheme.
00:33:26
Speaker 5: Of all of this.
00:33:26
Speaker 4: Y'all may mention of the AFC being a blood bath. We've heard Garrett, you know, Miles Garrett mentioned the fact that it's a body bag, you know, blood bath conference, and the North is a conference and division that's a blood bath. How do you guys look at adding into the conversation? And this will also continue on into the next segment. In fact, I'm going to save it for the next segment. I want you guys to think about it. This is a teaser question. How do we feel about how Lamar Jackson fits into that possibility of being the greatest quarterback to ever play the game? And Dak Prescott, who maybe has under delivered in terms of deserving an extension to his already large contract, but at the same time has delivered more than enough to be warranted to get that next contract. That's TJ. Huchman's out of that's Plexico Burst. I'm LeVar Arrington. We're gonna take a quick break on the other side of it. We're gonna continue this conversation going on. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Oh Man, welcome back in. It's up on Game. Up on Game. I mean I do two pros.
00:34:46
Speaker 5: I mean all week long.
00:34:47
Speaker 4: I mean every once in a while I have a fo Dan slip up so and no shade to the show. I do all week obviously, but it is up on Game. So thank you for that, mister stretch Armstrong. He was to rescue and let me know. I wouldn't even know I said it shortly after the show. Speaking of our podcast will be going up. If you missed any of today's show, it's been a great conversation.
00:35:09
Speaker 5: You could check it out on the podcast.
00:35:11
Speaker 4: Just search up on Game wherever you get the podcast, and be sure to also follow rate review the podcast.
00:35:17
Speaker 5: Again.
00:35:18
Speaker 4: That's just search up on Game wherever it is you get your podcasts, and you'll see this show posted right after we get finished on air.
00:35:26
Speaker 5: Fellas, let's continue the conversation.
00:35:27
Speaker 4: I know It's a short segment, but hell, we gonna end up going into the second hour of just this is the Show of Quarterbacks. It seems like we were kicking off the training camp. There's a lot of there's a lot of conversations going, but none bigger than the topics of quarterbacks. So resetting the conversation point here here enter into the conversation, Lamar Jackson, do you think that that coach Harball has something to this saying that Lamar Jackson will be the greatest quarterback ever to play? And what are we thinking about Dak Prescott and where he's at currently?
00:36:02
Speaker 5: What does that look like for him? Fellas?
00:36:05
Speaker 3: On another note, I'm watching water polo. I don't know how they stay above the water. I would drown so fast. Oh my, I'm like, how are they doing this? That's another thing. But anyway, Lamar Harball man, I played for Harball, loving loving man. Like he's a coach. If you could play for him one season, you want to play your entire career for him. He's that good of a dude. But all he's doing is looking at there's so much between the cup and the lip.
00:36:38
Speaker 5: You don't know.
00:36:39
Speaker 3: Lamar and Jackson at least, it seems he's not even halfway into his career, and so there's so much more he needs to accomplish. He can accomplish before you even get to that conference, and yeah, you're a two time MVP, but now you have to translate that into some playoff wins.
00:36:59
Speaker 5: But it's just so far away.
00:37:04
Speaker 3: It's good that he's saying this because he sees greatness in this quarterback. And if your coach is expressing these things, it makes you want to go out there and prove him right. And so for Lamar, the confidence that Harball is showing, anybody expressing that probably puts a smile on his face, and you know, I appreciate you, coach, but it's just so far away. Dak Prescott, if I'm Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys, I'm sorry, I'm gonna let him walk.
00:37:34
Speaker 5: I am i'ma let him walk. I'm not. I'm not giving. I don't understand it.
00:37:38
Speaker 3: What the quarterback position is crazy or the quarterback contract position is crazy. Oh I'm next, I'm the highs paid, but the guys that I'm leap frogging are still better than me. I don't understand that.
00:37:53
Speaker 5: But I'm not.
00:37:54
Speaker 3: Making Dak Prescott the highs paid quarterback in NFL history. When we just spoke how Georde love winning ad and spanked him, I'm not doing that. Dak Prescott is a really good quarterback, but he hasn't been able to get the Cowboys over the hump. And I believe last year was probably the best team that he's had. They didn't win a playoff game, they didn't win the playoff game. They had home and they played the first game at home, And so I think Dak Prescott is a good quarterback to make him the hogs payed quarterback in the league, No, sir, I'm not doing it.
00:38:28
Speaker 5: Man TJ all over the yards today, I like it like you a lot.
00:38:33
Speaker 2: So let me ask you a question in regards to habball coming under saying that Lamar Jackson is going to be one of the highest peed is going to be the best quarterback up? Can you be considered the best at anything without one of the championship.
00:38:48
Speaker 4: Well, he's got He's got multiple MVP titles though so far.
00:38:54
Speaker 5: I mean, that's that's that's legit.
00:38:56
Speaker 4: I mean, I feel like he's on the cusp of busting it wide.
00:38:59
Speaker 5: Oh be paused with being able to.
00:39:02
Speaker 4: Start tacking and and and putting up championship super Bowl seasons.
00:39:08
Speaker 5: He's right there at it. I mean, think about it.
00:39:11
Speaker 4: You get a fumble on what like the zero yard line, that kind of you know, and and then the same guy gets a penalty that that that stalls out a drive in a game where I felt like that was the difference in the game.
00:39:25
Speaker 5: This could have been the start.
00:39:26
Speaker 4: Of something to talk about last year if we don't have those if they don't have those situations play out in that game.
00:39:33
Speaker 5: So I think he's right.
00:39:34
Speaker 2: There talking about you're talking about playing football like those things happen, you have to be able to go out and execute over and overcome. That's true, that arise, It's very true, Patrick Headran Mahomes did it. Everybody was counting Kansas City all because they said, you know what, they have a one of they have a won a road playoff game.
00:39:57
Speaker 5: But you know why, because they didn't ever had to Who's the best quarterback in football?
00:40:02
Speaker 4: Patrick Mahomes? Okay, then yeah, well I'll say this as we wind down this segment, there's certainly no reason for us to move on from it. So what we're going to do is we're going to relax for a second. We're going to take a deep breath, and we're going to have a simple water and we're going to eat some of our bagel or our breakfast that we have going on, and we're going to continue this conversation about the quarterbacks in the National Football League. So you're listening to up on Game, that's TJ, that's PLEX.
00:40:36
Speaker 5: I'm LeVar. This is Fox Sports Radio Hour two coming up.

Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a dope song right here. You can't hear it if you're listening to the podcast, but that's all right. If you're listening now you can welcome back in. It is up on game.
00:30:30
