Kendra and I have been getting along swimmingly so far to start the season. And I assure you, That ship has sailed. Kendra.
00:00:42
Speaker 1: I'm going to kick your ass.
00:00:45
Speaker 2: Today is going to get ugly.
00:00:46
Speaker 3: It is going to be bad.
00:00:48
Speaker 2: Uglier than Bill Belichick's sweater imprints.
00:00:53
Speaker 1: Okay.
00:00:53
Speaker 4: So my question for you guys off the air and my question for the audience, if he got a chest wax and did the classic, you know, like girl just shove their boobs together. Could we tell the difference between him and an older lady?
00:01:07
Speaker 1: Because my answer would be no. He's got a rack. I, I don't.
00:01:12
Speaker 2: I really, I don't think that there would be much of a difference, much, much of a difference there as I'm stumbling all over this, thinking about the optics of that. Evan Abrams stat sound is on with us as well. Where do you land on, on sweater gate cleavage gate?
00:01:29
Speaker 5: I kind of want to have no comment. He kind of, I was trying to come up with the name of this guy who did Broadway. Like it was like Brad Valangia or something like that. I can't remember his name, but he looks, you know, Belichick's fine.
00:01:40
Speaker 3: Leave him alone.
00:01:42
Speaker 1: Iraq city resident.
00:01:44
Speaker 2: It is funny that we have the, the contrast of the Sydney Sweeney ad being such a big topic of conversation this week. And then the week ends like right as football is about to get started again over the weekend, we get bill Belichick's titties.
00:02:00
Speaker 1: We're obsessed.
00:02:02
Speaker 4: Can I just say that there are a lot of girls that are pissed off about the Sydney Sweeney ad and I'm not going to tell you how to feel, but like I, and I'm pretty, I'm kind of an activist with shit.
00:02:11
Speaker 1: I did not give a fuck about it. I did not care.
00:02:16
Speaker 4: Like, yeah, obviously men are going to be in on naked chicks, booze and gambling.
00:02:23
Speaker 1: Like that's just, that's, that's how you market.
00:02:26
Speaker 5: To be clear, it was her idea. Like she got, like percentage of the company. Like this wasn't something that was like brought to her. Like this seems like something that she was like wanting to do.
00:02:38
Speaker 4: It's just tough because like she wants to be taken seriously as an actress and then like any chance she'd get, it's like, okay, show us your talent.
00:02:45
Speaker 1: And she's like, my talent is my tits. But you know what? The talent I don't have, good for her. You know what? Rock it, sister. If I had it, I might.
00:02:56
Speaker 2: You gotta know where your bread is buttered in this life. We are knee deep in the DraftKings $ 100, 000 plus NFL season long pick and pull $ 50 entry, $ 200, 000 to first place. You're still welcome to join us and compete against us. Link in the description of this podcast. Let's set the table. Evan Abrams, you're here with us for a very specific reason. The primer has a new shiny look to it at actionnetwork.com. Overreaction theater in week two. What are the trends that we have to know before we get into any of this? And we start bickering over our bets this week. Kendra set the clock. Let's kick it over.
00:03:37
Speaker 1: Two minute drill. Let's do it.
00:03:38
Speaker 4: Evan.
00:03:43
Speaker 5: This has first of all, has to be less than two minutes, but this every week, this is just going to be a plate setter. Just some easy things off the top to kind of get us going. This one's super simple. So just underdogs in week two, 500 or better. ats 13 of the last 14 years of course last year was seven and nine against the spread but either way kind of says true to what we could be seeing from week one to week two uh here's just two more and this is why bet in week two it's about betting ugly so teams to lose by more than one possession in week one who are underdogs in week two 62 against the spread last 20 years 12 straight seasons 500 ats or better of course that's miami the Colts, the Titans, and the Browns. Exactly the teams you don't want to be betting. So, and it's the same situation here. Teams to lose against the spread by seven plus in week one who were underdogs in week two. 60 and 34 ATS, 64% last 20 years. Dolphins, Colts, Titans, Browns. It's all pretty ugly, but that is the way in history, you know, history will tell you week two to week one. So, and I'll leave you with this. I've seen this in a few other places. I was tracking this over the weekend, but it is important to remember that Teams who won the turnover battle were 13-0 straight up, 11-1-1 against the spread in week one. That tends to matter and is also kind of random and a little difficult to predict, but it's worth knowing that if you just had a better turnover battle, you won every game 13.
00:05:06
Speaker 2: And I was going to say, could you tell us who's going to turn the ball over more this weekend? That would really help.
00:05:10
Speaker 1: You got 30 seconds.
00:05:11
Speaker 5: But, but I do think, and I, I believe I have a system on this, like extreme turnovers. So teams three, four do tend to cover at a little bit of a higher rate next week. It does come back to the mean in certain circumstances, so many different outlines, so many different factors, but, That is one interesting thing I'm looking at.
00:05:31
Speaker 2: Sounds like some competing trends with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who were turnover happy in week one, taking on the Browns, who fit just about every underdog system in week two. We are ready for the fight.
00:05:45
Speaker 3: Dr.
00:05:45

Speaker 2: Time for this week's injury report.
00:06:31
Speaker 3: Dr.
00:06:31
Speaker 2: David Chow joins us from SixScore.com, our go-to source for injury news, information, and pricing. Doc, how did week one go at SixScore?
00:06:42
Speaker 3: It went well.
00:06:43
Speaker 6: You know, the hard thing about week one is you have all these preseason injuries happening And there's no injury reporting. You don't get to see people on video. So you have the surprise things like Miles Garrett, right? Everyone just thought, us included, that, well, Sean McVay doesn't play his veterans. There's nothing to see there. And so that's what makes sometimes the preseason week one a little bit challenging. But week two is always a little bit easier because now you've sort of seen a book of people and what they can do.
00:07:14
Speaker 2: One of the conversations that I saw over the weekend, the moment I saw it, I wrote a note in my phone. I have to ask Dr. Chow about this. Jay Glazer brought this up on the Fox pregame show on Sunday. Patrick Mahomes had a unique way of managing his ACL injury, opting to go under the knife before swelling occurred. I'd never heard that before. Was that risky, innovative? What was your take on that?
00:07:39
Speaker 6: Expected. Here's why. It wasn't just an ACL. It was an ACL and an LCL as we surmise from the war room when it happened that Sunday in December. That is why the early second opinion and the early surgery, because the LCL portion is a repair and it's easier to do before swelling. ACL reconstruction is always easier to do later when after swelling. So the LCL injury drove the day. So from a medical perspective, look, I love Jay Glazier. Know him well. He's on everything. But medically, that's just not a surprise. You know, we said it on Sunday. It was second opinion in Dallas on Monday. And during Monday night football, the surgery was announced that he had it on Monday during the day. That's just the way it works when you're talking about an LCL repair. And obviously, Patrick Mahomes did a great job. the chiefs did a great job. And let me just tell everyone, because, you know, I love how on social media, like you can get 17 things, right. And one thing isn't perfect. And then everyone's like, all of me. So yes, I got it wrong. I did not think Patrick Mahomes would play week one because I said, there is no way he's a hundred percent for week one. I think that's true. Look at the big brace. Yes. He ran the ball twice, but not on scheduled runs on, you know, uh, protection breakdown and scrambling. And he wasn't 100% the way that he moved. And kudos, though, to the Chiefs for taking care of it. I didn't think the Chiefs would want to risk losing the Super Bowl in week one because you can't win the Super Bowl in week one. But they outsmarted me and everyone else. It holds that Mahomes wasn't 100%. Go look at the time to throw the ball. He's like an entire standard deviation away from the entire NFL. I can pull it up on my phone. It was something like 2.27 seconds ball out of hand on that game against Denver. Meanwhile, the next lowest person was 2.56, 2.56, 2.60. and everyone else was clustered. Even all the ball out quick guys, he was faster than that. And that was scheme design by Andy Reid and company. So kudos there. But yes, I was wrong. I didn't think he would play week one, but it is what it is. But he's still not 100%. Great job. They're still going to have to protect him going forward. And especially when you have A rookie offensive left tackle after Josh Simmons' back injury and a brand new right tackle that to me was lined up in the backfield the whole game, but that's a whole different story. That's for someone else to comment on.
00:10:24
Speaker 4: I want to stone two birds at once here by talking about the 49ers and the Rams, because we talked about this kind.
00:10:29
Speaker 1: Of after our show wrapped, just the three of us last week.
00:10:33
Speaker 4: What are your expectations for their recovery time coming back? It felt like obviously the narrative has been the Rams just punted that game. The 49ers might have a little bit more jet lag by going out early and having to come back and recover, but they are playing the Dolphins. What are your expectations for these two teams this week?
00:10:48
Speaker 6: Well, the Rams... didn't really get jet lag. They may be tired because they didn't, you know, okay, jet lag, but they didn't adjust to Melbourne, Australia time.
00:10:59
Speaker 2: They were in and out.
00:11:00
Speaker 6: I guarantee you their clocks never moved. They told everyone the hotel clocks, everything was just still on Pacific time. The 49ers fully adjusted and you can make the argument that that made them help win the game or was it something else? Was it scheme? You can have that argument, but there's no doubt on the rebound now that that the Rams have a better opportunity in week two than the 49ers. But it's not a scheduling accident that the Dolphins are traveling to San Francisco. Look, the schedule's predetermined as to who's playing, but not the sequence. And the 49ers were able to say, okay, we're going to Australia today. What do you want on the next game to the schedule makers? Like if you go overseas, you can request a buy afterwards or request not a buy. You can request the game before. When I went to London with the Chargers, they requested a game against Buffalo because Buffalo was on the schedule. We left from Buffalo to London, right? The league tries to help you out on this international travel. That's why the 49ers get the Rams. Sorry, the 49ers get the Dolphins, your Dolphins there, Brandon. And, uh, And that was predetermined. But, you know, let's see the time change and how the jet lag affects them.
00:12:17
Speaker 4: My next question is about the quarterbacking situation for two teams. Obviously, Kyla Murray gets the concussion last week and then there's a whole entire clusterfuck going down in Atlanta. What are your projections for starters for these two teams?
00:12:32
Speaker 6: First of all, there was a lot of. angst about Kyler Murray's concussion because of the way that he reacted. Now, we did say immediately after and immediately in our podcast, Pro Football Doc podcast afterwards, that just because he, quote, mini seized or postured, clenched his fist and whatever. does not mean it was a more severe concussion where he is for sure ruled out the next week, despite the eyeball test. Look, if that were a one-off game on Sunday night football, we'd still be talking about how bad that looked. But because not everyone saw that, everyone's like, oh, LP on Wednesday. He looks good to go, maybe. He's progressing to return to play. That's great news. It was Kyler's first concussion. It looks like he's recovering very well. But despite that, my prediction is, is that Carson Wentz is still the starter. Not necessarily because Kyler won't clear, possibly because they want to be careful because they saw the posturing and they don't want a bad look. The NFL is very careful with that. But also think about this. Would you rather play a quarterback that is new to your system, that got knocked out in the first quarter, that isn't really going to take first team reps for the majority, if not all the week, Or would you rather start a guy who got you a win, who has, it's his quote, second year in the system with KOC, who's going to get first team reps. So I think that plays into it as well. There's the medical, there's the coaching team side, as well as the player side. Now in Atlanta, here's what it looks like to me. Remember Sam Darnold, played through the playoffs last year and won a Super Bowl with an oblique muscle issue. Why is Tua Tungavaiola not playing? More recent injury, okay. Yes, it affects your throwing motion. It could be because he doesn't love the idea of taking a rib block injection. He may still remember Tyrod Taylor. It is his prerogative. I don't know what the real story is. Yes, he also had a rough preseason injury. And maybe the Falcons are saying, if you can't take the shot every day to practice, maybe we better off with someone who can get first team reps. We're going to roll with Cooper Rush for right now. And after that not so good week one, I think they're doing everything they can to shoehorn in Michael Penix pending medical clearance.
00:15:03
Speaker 4: Right.
00:15:03
Speaker 6: He got half the first team reps. So I think if it's possible medically, they want to try Penix there in week two. If not, it's going to be week three for sure.
00:15:13
Speaker 1: Penis. Let's go.
00:15:17
Speaker 2: The odds makers are just throwing their hands up going. I don't know what to do with this team. I mean, they went from this game essentially went from a pick them to now the Falcons are plus two and a half. And I don't think anybody really knows how to price Atlanta because we don't know who the quarterback is going to be. And we also don't know how good that quarterback is going to be. It's right.
00:15:36
Speaker 6: I look, I think they're trying to play Michael Pennix. Will they make it or not?
00:15:42
Speaker 2: I don't know.
00:15:43
Speaker 6: They're trying to, right? It's going to be how Penix feels with his knee. Look, they gave him half the first team reps. What does that tell you? Look, Cooper Rush is first year in this system, brand new. Why wouldn't they give him all the first team reps? You think he got a lot in the preseason?
00:16:01
Speaker 3: Not a lot.
00:16:02
Speaker 6: You want to get him ready. The fact that they split first team reps tells you they're trying to get Penix ready to go, if at all possible. And look, I don't know how lines work. I'm not a gambling expert. This is what you guys do. I'm just giving you injury information for you guys to interpret. It's going to be Carson Wentz against the Bears. They're trying to shoehorn in Penix. Will he get there? That's the final question.
00:16:27
Speaker 2: Well, Hey, you might want to, might want to rinse off that veto Kendra. Cause I feel like the Falcons are coming your way here soon. Oh my God. I also think that Kendra is going to try and sell me on the Baltimore Ravens in a little bit. I liked them a lot who doesn't based on the way they looked in week one, but say flowers was a big part of that. He's been dealing with a hamstring injury for a while. It then reared its ugly head last Sunday. Where are we at with Zay Flowers and this pesky hamstring? And I would think that that injury in particular for you as a doctor is probably the toughest one to figure out because it always seems to creep back up as an issue.
00:17:03
Speaker 6: Well, it's the toughest one for me to figure out on video. Look, traumatic injuries are easier to figure out. But when someone pulls up and grabs at their hamstring. Do they pull up and grab on it because they felt tightness and they were one step early on protecting themselves? Or is it a more severe hamstring, right? And it's hard to tell on video. And that's a lot of what I do. But it is indisputable that Zay Flowers had a previous hamstring injury issue. And this is an aggravation. You can say it's mild, mild, mild. But here's the decision. Even if he were able to go week two, What's the risk of playing week two, going full speed, and turning it into a six-week hamstring issue? That is what Baltimore needs to figure out before they play him. This is why I think they're going to be conservative and not play him. I get the pressure to play him. He had a great first game, and you always want to get out early here. But also, their number three wide receiver, the rookie with Jacoby Lang, with the wrist fracture is out. So there's a little bit of a cluster and some pressure there. But, you know, I just think teams early season, especially teams like the Ravens that hope they're going somewhere. They don't want to risk a prolonged injury that derails a season. So even though he look, if there were the playoffs, sure, rolls a flowers out there and see what happens because it's week two. I think they may exercise some caution given the recurrence of the injury.
00:18:35
Speaker 1: Final question from me.
00:18:36
Speaker 4: The Chargers looked like shit last week against our birds of the year.
00:18:40
Speaker 1: Can you talk to me about this Ladd-McConkie injury?
00:18:43
Speaker 6: Well, yeah, the Ladd-McConkie injury, and we'll talk about some other things. Ladd-McConkie injured his rib. The question is, is it a fracture or contusion or soft tissue rib? The bottom line is ribs is torso and oblique, and it hurts to play. We don't expect him to practice much, if at all, this week. And in order for him to play effectively, besides flak jacket, it will be a rib block injection. And we talked about rib injections for Tua even. Yes, there's the Tyrod Taylor that happened to the LA Chargers. Once again, no, it wasn't me. I never went with the Chargers to LA. But they have a set of new doctors now because they moved closer to UCLA. UCLA is providing the medical care. So he's probably going to need a rib block injection to play. The Chargers, my former team, did not play well. I think the biggest effect there was Tyler Baidez from the preseason. Their star center that they signed for big money tore up his knee and that affected the run game. And it still remains to be seen. Look, I love Jim Harbaugh. I don't know Mike McDaniel, but those have to be two of the quirkiest coaches in the league and i'm waiting to see is this matchup going to end up being peanut butter and jelly or oil and water don't know yet you know week one is in the books but let's see what happens going forward We've.
00:20:04
Speaker 2: Talked about all the flashy names on offense. What about the lines? This is one of the things I think you guys do best at six scores, those cluster injuries on the offensive line. Are there a couple of teams, it seems like there are, that are dealing with this headed into week two?
00:20:20
Speaker 6: The Lions are one of them. The Lions started week one with secondary issues, three out of four starters, and even some death players, uh, in the secondary. And you can look at that new Orleans game, Tyler shock, you know, seven zero in the first half. Oh, they shut him down. They did fine there. But what happened in the second half, even when the lions got ahead, the chase was on and, and, and the saints were pretty good at chasing there. And that largely had to do with the cluster injuries in the secondary. And, uh, At Sports Injury Central, that was a halftime type play for us, right? Okay, it's 7-0 in the half, but we still hit the over on the game and we were like, second half, the Saints are going to be able to chase because of the secondary. Now Detroit has a new cluster issue on the offensive line. They started the season without center Cade Mays with the injury to the center. They lost their left guard to a hip injury, now right tackle due to a knee issue. And remember, Penny Sewell's flipped from right tackle to left tackle. Not only do you have a cluster here with two new injuries, but you have a short week to get ready and travel to Buffalo. So this is what doesn't sit well in terms of our Sports Injury Central six-score field view setups.

00:22:04
Speaker 2: Week two is upon us. Time to welcome in our guest for the week, the one and only Emerson Latzia, the DraftKings mouthpiece. If you're wondering to yourself, hey, I've seen that guy on TV, you are definitely correct. You're all over the place, man.
00:22:20
Speaker 3: Yep.
00:22:21
Speaker 7: I'm America's least favorite D-lister.
00:22:24
Speaker 3: That's what I am, buddy. And I hate it.
00:22:26
Speaker 7: People are mean to me, but I can absorb it and I can process my emotions way better than I used to.
00:22:32
Speaker 3: And you know what?
00:22:33
Speaker 7: It kind of turns me on when people yell at me, just like Gifford was as I was trying to find the link to come into this incredible podcast.
00:22:42
Speaker 3: And it's great to be here with.
00:22:43
Speaker 7: Both of you, especially Kendra, because Kendra is an emotionally unstable Jaguars fan, just as yours truly is.
00:22:52
Speaker 2: Yeah, this is going to be a lot to wrangle today between the two of you. But you're right about it. America's least favorite D lister. You know, that look you get from somebody when you're telling them a story for the third time and, and you're telling it as if they've never heard it. And they're like, Oh shit, this story again. That's how my wife looks at me when you pop up on the screen and I go, Hey, that's Emerson. I know exactly how you feel.
00:23:17
Speaker 3: I live a sober life.
00:23:19
Speaker 7: So when I'm out and people are drinking and they start telling me the fourth story, like, Same story for the fourth time in like an hour. That's usually when I'm like, I'm out of here. But you please do me a favor and tell your wife that I said hello because I'm a huge.
00:23:34
Speaker 3: Fan of hers.
00:23:35
Speaker 1: Are you sober or California sober?
00:23:38
Speaker 3: No, I'm fully sober, girl. Almost two years.
00:23:41
Speaker 1: That's crazy.
00:23:42
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:23:43
Speaker 3: So that like, you know, people can see that this is just me. I'm sober. I am weird. I am insane.
00:23:51
Speaker 7: There are an ass ton of loose nuts and bolts in my head, but I can keep it together pretty well. Yeah, that's right. It wasn't just the alcohol talking before people. It was just really me.
00:24:04
Speaker 2: The greatest feat in podcasting today will be us trying to get through all of these games in 45 minutes. And we start right now. Lions bills Thursday night football. This line has been dancing around all week. Let me get the most updated one. I believe we're sitting at four and a half on the Detroit lions as underdog. So you've got the bills favored by five and a half total kicked up to 54 and a half juiced to the over in this one. This game to me, guys, is the inkblot test. It really depends on how you want to see it. The lions get torched in the second half against Tyler shuck. There was for over 300 yards in the final two quarters. Now they go up against Josh Allen. So what's he going to do? The bills defense gives up 31 points to the Houston Texans. So what are the lions about to do to this team? I already took a position on the lions at a bad number. So I'm just going to cross my fingers Kendra and hope for the best. But do you have anything on this one or should we scoot on?
00:25:11
Speaker 4: I think we can scoot on, but I will say from like a long-term perspective, I have a future on the Lions for them to win the division. So I'm going to be looking at this game and them against good talent.
00:25:21
Speaker 1: I know that they have a lot of.
00:25:22
Speaker 4: Injuries, but the real thing that I'm looking at here is this is the first regular season game the Bills are going to play in their new stadium. And if they come out and look like ass, I'm going to say the Bills suck and they're canceled forever.
00:25:33
Speaker 3: Yeah, they're going balls to the wall tonight. Absolutely.
00:25:38
Speaker 2: Lay the points.
00:25:39
Speaker 7: Dalton Kincaid, anytime touchdown scorer.
00:25:41
Speaker 2: Speaker 0 I love that. Plus one 75. I bet it before you mentioned it. So we are in lockstep there before you go betting the Buffalo bills though. I love the Dan Campbell, ATS trends. The lions are 21 and eight against the spread under Dan Campbell. When closing is an underdog of four plus points. That's 72%. So don't just blindly bet against Dan Campbell. I know the O line is banged up. I still like the lions, but Hopefully you get the best of it. Let's move on. That one's not in the contest. We'll slide to the one o'clock on the East coast here with the Eagles and the Titans. This one's in Tennessee Eagles laying seven points total at 39 and a half. You're going to have to fall in love with some ugly dogs. Evan mentioned it at the top of the podcast. That's what week two is all about. Are these teams that we have already completely written off covering spreads in week two, 88% of the bets, 94% of the money is on the Philadelphia Eagles. The Titans managed 195 yards of total offense. They stink. Why would you bet Tennessee? This feels like one of those moves, Kendra, that we kind of have to make, but I don't know that I've got the stomach for this one. There's some ugly dogs I like better than the Titans.
00:26:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, there's ugly dogs I like better than the Titans.
00:27:02
Speaker 4: I want to believe in Cam Ward, and I talked a lot about how I was very displeased as a fan, but if you like the Titans, them going out and getting him a weapon instead of a defensive pick like they expected, I thought would have helped Cam Ward more than it did last week. I.
00:27:17
Speaker 4: I thought that the Titans would be good. I, I touched down. I think the Eagles could win by, I'd love to be on the Eagles here, but now too many, too many ugly dogs.
00:27:26
Speaker 2: I like better.
00:27:26
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:27:28
Speaker 3: Archie's going to be their quarterback next year. Cam Ward is nothing.
00:27:31
Speaker 7: This team is disgusting from top to bottom. This team has zero juice. If I was to bet anything in this game, I'm going under what's the total now?
00:27:42
Speaker 1: It's 39 and a half.
00:27:43
Speaker 2: All right.
00:27:43
Speaker 3: Sweet. Yeah.
00:27:44
Speaker 6: Hell yeah.
00:27:45
Speaker 7: I'd go under that because Philly can play ahead, lean on its run game, shorten the game.
00:27:49
Speaker 3: Let's go get this game over with, man.
00:27:52
Speaker 2: That's the problem with trying to take Tennessee as an underdog is that if Philly gets a big lead at any point in this game, it's over. They're just going to suffocate the clock with their run game. And I know that their run game isn't what it was two years ago, but it can be against the Titans. And that's the concern here.
00:28:09
Speaker 3: They don't want to be there. They don't want to go out and play this game. Hell no.
00:28:13
Speaker 7: It's a waste of 60 minutes of your life. And if you watch this game outside of being a Philly fan, I don't know. You're just a disgusting human being.
00:28:21
Speaker 4: I'm going to watch it twice like I do with everything else.
00:28:25
Speaker 2: Wifer. It's not the ugliest game on the card, though. We will get to that in a bit. Not this one, either. The Saints are in Baltimore to take on the Ravens line sitting at eight and a half in favor of Baltimore, of course, total at 46 points. and a half. The Ravens new offense under Declan Doyle seems to be a hit 41 points, three touchdowns from Derek Henry Lamar was playing under center for portions of the game. And he was perfect when he did. So he was 10 of 10 passing when, when starting the, uh, the play under center, this team looks like a freight train. I appreciate the saints getting the cover for me last week, but the Ravens just look like a team. I don't want to get in front of right now. Uh, Emerson, let's start with you. Where do you, uh, where do you land on this, on this classic?
00:29:09
Speaker 7: Uh, so definitely not touching that minus three 80, uh, money line, but yeah, minus one Oh five there, eight and a half points by the Ravens. It's, uh, their offensive ceiling. I feel like can create a little bit of separation there.
00:29:23
Speaker 3: I don't know.
00:29:23
Speaker 7: As long as the saints don't look like the best team in football for the final two quarters, like they did last year, that was an unbelievable comeback.
00:29:30
Speaker 3: And, uh, it was at Tyler show, like with his, uh, What he.
00:29:34
Speaker 7: Throw for over like 400 yards yeah yeah what it shows how much has happened it shows how much i absolutely pay attention to that team all i know is they need to give the freaking football to travis etn have a freaking game plan for that son of a gun please but yeah i'll lay the points with the.
00:29:53
Speaker 4: Ravens emerson's anti-woke he's like i'm not calling you a chan yeah yeah.
00:29:59
Speaker 2: He changed his name too. There's all sorts of weird pronunciations on the New Orleans Saints.
00:30:04
Speaker 1: I am not.
00:30:05
Speaker 4: I wish that I'd waited for a better number with this Zay Flowers news, and I'm not using this as a nomination. I am on the Ravens. I think that if the Lions didn't choke last week, I would feel a lot better about this. But Baltimore just looks like a world beater. I know that they've got some injuries that they're dealing with right now. Even if Zay Flowers doesn't play, I still feel okay about the eight and a half. Just wish I'd waited for a better number in case that that is the outcome here.
00:30:29
Speaker 2: Well, that's the problem is that if Zay Flowers doesn't play, Jacoby Lane's already out. Not that I'm worried about Lane not playing. He's a rookie, so that's not much of an impact. But this is what we talk about with David Chow. This is why we bring him on. It's all about the cluster injuries. Rashad Bateman and what?
00:30:45
Speaker 1: And it's... Pez Walker is also kind of injured. Not that he's a game changer.
00:30:50
Speaker 2: And the Ravens can... Obviously, they can win with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry doing all the damage. But it's still... you'd like to have, if you're going to back a favorite of over a touchdown, you'd like some passing to be a part of the equation. The saints are off of an overtime game, 11 and 21 ATS first half the next week for teams that are off of an overtime game. I like laying the five and a half in the first half with the Baltimore Ravens. I think that's the way to play this game. We're three games in. We don't have a nomination yet, right?
00:31:29
Speaker 3: What is this thing you guys are talking about? A nomination?
00:31:32
Speaker 2: We have to nominate. I'm glad that you brought this up because this is new to the audience.
00:31:39
Speaker 4: It's almost like we tried to explain this to you ahead of the show.
00:31:43
Speaker 7: Yeah, but I told you I would ask questions in real time because I didn't understand it then and we needed to hit the record button. And also, yes, there could be people listening to the first time. They don't know what's going on. They just stumbled across your podcast. An opportunity here to explain this to people and me.
00:31:58
Speaker 2: This is why we bring you on because you are a full-blown professional. I'm a pro Kendra and I are in a contest through draft Kings together where we have to nominate five picks against the spread every single week. We would ideally like to come to some form of consensus for those five picks. And we each get a veto because We each get two vetoes now?
00:32:26
Speaker 6: No, no, no.
00:32:26
Speaker 4: We each nominate. We have two teams we nominate, but we each get one veto. And Emerson, you are going to give us your best bet, but don't tell us what it is until we get to that team.
00:32:36
Speaker 3: Correct.
00:32:37
Speaker 2: Okay.
00:32:37
Speaker 3: I'll tell you when we hit it, when we touch it.
00:32:41
Speaker 1: I know what it's going to be, I think.
00:32:42
Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
00:32:43
Speaker 3: A thousand, a thousand.
00:32:45
Speaker 4: Which I'm telling you, you need to have something in your back pocket because Kravitz is going to veto it.
00:32:50
Speaker 3: That's fine. Veto it, big boy. Let's go.
00:32:55
Speaker 2: Before we move past the saints and the Ravens, not an official nomination though. Kendra has logged Ravens minus eight and a half. I like the Ravens minus five and a half in the first half, Evan Abrams, our trends guy. If I remember correctly, Lamar Jackson is quite proficient against NFC teams, teams that don't see him all that often tend to struggle against Lamar Jackson. What's the number on that?
00:33:20
Speaker 5: 25 and three straight up, but more importantly for everything we're discussing, 14-13-1 against the spread. So I think the 8.5 is just fine. He is 13-0 straight up NFC when they're under 500, which just happens to be the Saints after last week, just barely. The one I actually think is way more interesting, way more interesting, is when a coach sees Lamar for the first time. Lamar's 39-8. But again, 25-22 against the spread. So I think the 8.5.
00:33:47
Speaker 3: Is actually pretty fair here, guys.
00:33:53
Speaker 7: Which makes me feel good touching his anytime touchdown at plus 165 instead of paying the enormous minus 260 price on Derrick Henry.
00:34:01
Speaker 3: Thank you.
00:34:03
Speaker 1: You've heard of Jaganoff? I think I'm Jacksonoff now.
00:34:05
Speaker 3: Oh, I love that.
00:34:07
Speaker 2: I love the idea.
00:34:09
Speaker 3: Ew.
00:34:10
Speaker 1: The FBI says it's fine now, Emerson.
00:34:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, they've seen some weird stuff on my phone.
00:34:17
Speaker 2: I love the idea of a coach standing on the sideline, never having coached against Lamar Jackson, just going... bug-eyed like holy shit what am I supposed to do with this I love that.
00:34:28
Speaker 7: So my claim to fame before annoying everybody on television every 30 seconds was I got to cover Lamar Jackson in high school when he was at Boynton Beach and yeah even coaches that have played him a couple seasons in a row still had no idea now I am comparing apples to oranges high school in the NFL but they still do have a lot in common apples and oranges.
00:34:47
Speaker 1: Did you cover Derrick Henry at Yulee.
00:34:49
Speaker 7: No I did not no no no I know missed it.
00:34:55
Speaker 3: Yep sure he ran all over bishop kenny.
00:34:59
Speaker 7: I forget more on secular what are you mandarin.
00:35:03
Speaker 1: No i was homeschooled so but oh.
00:35:06
Speaker 7: That makes sense doesn't it though oh my god holy crap all right yep next game.
00:35:16
Speaker 2: Browns bucks bucks also laying eight and a half total sitting at 41 and a half two. Oh, and one teams battle it out as the Browns wrap up their tour of Florida. Baker Mayfield takes on his former team. Always love that angle. Curious to see where you guys land on this one. Another ugly, gross dog that might just be worth an investment. Kendra.
00:35:39
Speaker 4: I want to say a lot of what I'm going to nominate this week is going to be me looking at.
00:35:44
Speaker 1: Bounce back spots, but this isn't one of them.
00:35:48
Speaker 4: I think that Baker looks like shit. I think that his prime is over. I think that who we saw last week is who he really is. I think he just caught lightning in a bottle and was, he has that type of personality where if you doubt him, I think that he can do something for a hot minute, but I'm not a Baker believer. I think that they have a potential to bounce back here, but it's the Browns. I don't want anything to do with it. And I saw a report this morning from someone, I put it in our notes, but they expect Shador to, yeah, Jason LaConforna said that he expects Shador to start by week three.
00:36:18
Speaker 1: That's the only thing that makes me a little nervous.
00:36:20
Speaker 6: Great.
00:36:21
Speaker 4: I know in my heart of hearts that Deshaun sucks, but I also know that if Deshaun's going balls to the wall, he made like two or three passes last week that I was like, that's the Deshaun that I know.
00:36:30
Speaker 1: But the overall arching theme is that you suck. So this is.
00:36:34
Speaker 4: Something I don't want anything to do with because I think that these two quarterbacks are about to have a fucking mid-off.
00:36:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I agree with you.
00:36:41
Speaker 7: I think the only reason Deshaun's starting right now is because ownership's trying to save face or like, let's try to get something out of the worst contract in NFL history.
00:36:49
Speaker 3: I don't think Shador offers you like, Much more, but it's something. A little more.
00:36:54
Speaker 7: And it doesn't take much to be better than Deshaun Watson right now. I would actually play the points. I'll eat the big number here, 100%. Not touching the minus 455 money line.
00:37:05
Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
00:37:05
Speaker 7: I watched every second of that game last week, as you did, Kendra, against the Jags.
00:37:09
Speaker 3: That is one of the worst football teams and displays of football I have ever seen. And thank God.
00:37:15
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:37:16
Speaker 3: The only reason they got that first field goal is because of our kickoff coverage. The Jags was absolute ass.
00:37:21
Speaker 7: And then we had like second and third stringers in there for the Boston touchdown at the end.
00:37:26
Speaker 2: I will say timing wise, it makes sense. If she door Sanders is the starting quarterback in week three, they haven't played at home yet. And those home fans are losing their minds in Cleveland. So they are going to regurgitate the Sean Watson. And you expect that on the road. It's not a problem. If he gets booed, they can just chalk that up to, you know, it's the road team.
00:37:44
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:37:45
Speaker 2: Not because everyone hates his guts, but not in Cleveland. It's going to be different there.
00:37:50
Speaker 7: Dude, if the Browns get the number one overall pick and they go for Manning, do we see another Manning holdout demanding a trade there in the draft? There's no way. I would never want to play for this franchise. This franchise is a laughing stock.
00:38:06
Speaker 4: Arch Manning has gotten enough bad press in the last couple of days.
00:38:09
Speaker 1: There's no way that that.
00:38:10
Speaker 3: Family wants him to go to Cleveland. What happened?
00:38:13
Speaker 1: I don't know. There was something about a video.
00:38:16
Speaker 6: I don't know.
00:38:18
Speaker 2: Ai guys it's funny no one has a sense of humor anyway um the buccaneers have failed to cover 10 straight games and heading back to last season.
00:38:30
Speaker 7: We buried the lead yeah listen they win that game last week without four turnovers hell if even if they just turn the ball over maybe three times you.
00:38:39
Speaker 2: Know Yeah, and if the Titanic didn't hit an iceberg, I think the cruise would have been a nice ride. 100%.
00:38:46
Speaker 7: If they would have listened to the call from the other boat, they would have left their phones on.
00:38:50
Speaker 3: Dude, we could get deep into Titanic stuff.
00:38:53
Speaker 4: I just went to the Titanic Museum, okay? I am full of Titanic knowledge right now.
00:38:59
Speaker 3: Did you buy a piece of coal?
00:39:00
Speaker 7: Cause I hear they sell coal that they had found from the Titanic and our barber at DraftKings has a piece of it. And I'm like, that is definitely not from the Titanic. Like you, they just made you pay like 50 bucks. Like you just threw it out.
00:39:12
Speaker 1: I bought a pin for my jacket. That's it.
00:39:15
Speaker 3: Was it a pin from a dead man that they found at the bottom of the ocean?
00:39:20
Speaker 4: Um, that would have been way cooler, but I did learn that there were Middletons on the Titanic that.
00:39:26
Speaker 2: Oh, dude.
00:39:27
Speaker 3: Tease and peace, man.
00:39:29
Speaker 4: Too soon.
00:39:29
Speaker 5: All right.
00:39:31
Speaker 1: Well, never forget.
00:39:33
Speaker 2: There are, there are some rules to a sinking ship.
00:39:35
Speaker 3: Okay.
00:39:37
Speaker 2: It's women and children first. And then dirty, disgusting dogs. Official nomination on the Browns. plus eight and a half. We have to bet the Cleveland Browns here. You're telling me the Brown. Think about this. The Browns go into Jacksonville as eight and a half point underdogs. And then the very next week.
00:40:02
Speaker 1: You're going to make them start drinking again.
00:40:05
Speaker 2: Tampa's laying the same number. I have enough respect for your Jacksonville Jaguars to say these teams are in a different class. This is an overinflated line and every trend in the world. Points to the Cleveland Browns. Before you veto this, Evan.
00:40:22
Speaker 1: I'm not going to, just so you know, I'm saving it.
00:40:26
Speaker 2: Can you support this from a trend perspective? Is there a team this week that checks every box more than the Cleveland Browns?
00:40:36
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, if you're just blindly going by all these systems, there's at least 50. that would tell you to take the Cleveland Browns this week at that number. I'll only, I mean, at least 50. I mean, just based off of the numbers and exactly what you said last week.
00:40:49
Speaker 1: Does Evan get a veto?
00:40:52
Speaker 5: I will just say this, and I am someone who is absolutely hated on Deshaun Watson. The one thing I did, he did, you know, some of the stuff last week wasn't the worst I've ever seen. Like, The stuff that I hated from Deshaun Watson was first and second down stuff. Last week, just one stat, highest completion percentage ever expected on the ninth most air yards on first and second downs. So he was helping the offense a little bit. Obviously meant nothing.
00:41:18
Speaker 3: Give it a week.
00:41:19
Speaker 5: But I do think the eight and a half is decent. So if you're going to bet it, that would be the way to go.
00:41:24
Speaker 3: So I'm seeing this too.
00:41:25
Speaker 7: So Bucs were a league worst one and seven ATS at home.
00:41:30
Speaker 6: In 2025.
00:41:30
Speaker 3: Yeah. That's, uh, that's quite gross. Okay.
00:41:35
Speaker 1: Hmm.
00:41:36
Speaker 2: In some ways, this is a bet on the Jacksonville. In some ways, this is a bet on the Jacksonville Jaguars in a roundabout way because they shut up. These lines should not be identical. I'll hate on the Jags.
00:41:50
Speaker 1: So you can cut the shit.
00:41:53
Speaker 3: Oh, hell yeah.
00:41:55
Speaker 2: Did you bring props?
00:41:57
Speaker 6: No.
00:41:58
Speaker 2: I was looking at my notes. My favorite of all of the trends, though. And so then this does officially end up in our contest. I'm so excited. Underdogs who lost by seven or more against a one score loser. And both teams are 0 and 1, 26 and 5 against the spread.
00:42:15
Speaker 6: 84%.
00:42:15
Speaker 2: Sorry, not sorry. We're going with the Cleveland Browns.
00:42:21
Speaker 6: All right.
00:42:24
Speaker 2: Packers at jets plus three and a half. Look ahead line on this one was Packers minus five and a half. We've seen some dramatic movements since then the jets looked great. I'll be it against the Titans. And the green Bay defense was lit up by Carson Wentz feels like the classic overreaction spot where we should all probably bet the green Bay Packers. I'm not, but are you not either?
00:42:44
Speaker 1: Yep, I'm nominating the Green Bay Packers. This is the freaking Jets.
00:42:47
Speaker 4: I think the coaching advantage here alone will do that. I know that you hate the three and a half Kravitz, but this Packers team, it's such an overreaction.
00:42:55
Speaker 1: They're better than this. I don't have a ton of faith in them throughout the season, but it's the freaking Jets, man.
00:43:00
Speaker 4: Like if you can't beat the Jets by three and a half points as the Green Bay Packers at any point in your organization's existence, you should just shut up and pack it up.
00:43:09
Speaker 3: I don't know.
00:43:09
Speaker 7: Getting the hook at home kind of matters. And New York's defense, you got to give them a shout out. Top 10 in EPA.
00:43:17
Speaker 3: Per play in week one.
00:43:19
Speaker 1: Is this your veto?
00:43:22
Speaker 3: I don't know.
00:43:23
Speaker 7: And I'm still nervous and still trying to understand how the game works.
00:43:27
Speaker 3: So, no, it's not my veto.
00:43:30
Speaker 2: Once you use it, you don't have it anymore.
00:43:33
Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, we got more games to go.
00:43:36
Speaker 6: Absolutely.
00:43:36
Speaker 3: No, I'm not using my veto here.
00:43:39
Speaker 2: All right, I'm going to use mine then because I hate this so much.
00:43:42
Speaker 5: All right.
00:43:44
Speaker 2: I think this Packers team.
00:43:45
Speaker 4: You're going to hate more things that I have more, but all right.
00:43:49
Speaker 2: I cannot let this in. The Packers 3-10 against the spread is a road favorite of three or more in the last five seasons. This is not just a this season thing. And I think this is an overreaction that actually has been sort of over sniffed by the betting public because... People are still betting on green Bay, assuming that they're going to bounce back and assuming that the jets aren't real. 63% of the bets are on the Packers. This is a veto. I like the jets too much this week.
00:44:18
Speaker 7: They'd looked now I'll be at. It was what against the Titans. Like they looked efficient with Gino Smith, that quarterback.
00:44:25
Speaker 2: They did.
00:44:26
Speaker 3: I know.
00:44:28
Speaker 2: They did. And the Packers haven't covered a number since Micah Parsons got hurt. So why start now? Let's move to the Steelers and the Patriots hats minus five and a half total of 41 and a half. The Patriots last played on Wednesday night. That's 11 days of prep time for this game, but they've got to play without AJ Brown. Drake Mays regressions season appears to be in full form already. Rematch of week three. If you want to go back to that last season, the Steelers went into new England one by a touchdown and there was no hype around the Patriots at that time. They hadn't really started there. their climb yet, but Kendra, you faded the Patriots in week one. Are you going to do it again?
00:45:10
Speaker 4: It's not a nomination for me, but I am on the Steelers. I'll probably eventually wind up getting to the window on the under.
00:45:15
Speaker 1: Here as well at 41 and a half.
00:45:18
Speaker 4: I just everything points to the Steelers in this matchup. I know that Mike Rabel doesn't perform well against them either. I know that Aaron Rodgers is old and it's in New England, but five and a half points just feels like a lot for a team where I'm not sure I fully trust the offensive line yet.
00:45:34
Speaker 1: Drake may look like shit.
00:45:35
Speaker 4: And if you compare the offense with the lack of the receivers and how Romeo Dobbs looks against that Steelers defense.
00:45:41
Speaker 1: I think five and a half.
00:45:42
Speaker 4: I think the Patriots win this game, but probably only by a field goal.
00:45:45
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:45:45
Speaker 7: Just got to make Drake may keep them uncomfortable. I think Pittsburgh can keep this within one possession. It does feel like too many points now.
00:45:52
Speaker 6: I'll be it.
00:45:53
Speaker 7: I know they played the Cooper rush led offense of the Falcons last week, but defense.
00:45:58
Speaker 3: Still looked pretty decent. So yeah, I'm taking Steelers plus five and a half.
00:46:03
Speaker 2: So the, the luck rankings are officially out. Nick Giffen's luck rankings have the Pittsburgh Steelers as the luckiest team early on in the NFL. Now, I think that these rankings.
00:46:16
Speaker 1: Are we kumbaya-ing about this?
00:46:19
Speaker 2: What's going on? Well, no, I'm deadlocked on this. I think the Steelers... I could be talked into this. I don't have a strong stance on this. I was just sort of creating the other narrative for the Patriots without A.J. Brown, I think, have real troubles offensively. And the offensive line is still a problem. Drake May did not look good in that game. The Patriots don't inspire belief for me. But I did say before the season started, Kendra, that I was okay with betting the Steelers early in the season before all their old players looked old. And so I'm okay with it.
00:46:55
Speaker 4: If we get a real rock fight about anything else, this can be a backup.
00:47:00
Speaker 2: Let's put it in.
00:47:01
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:47:01
Speaker 2: Let's just slide it in now and we'll boot it out. If we end up overcrowded with the five Steelers plus five and a half is a contest play. It's a placeholder for now. It's a cup holder. If anything else, Vikings bears, bears laying four and a half total at 48 and a half. I think everyone's going to sprint to the window to bet the over in this game because the Chicago bears just dropped 59 and the Panthers even looked good offensively. Carson Wentz through three touchdowns last week. It looks like he's going to be the starting quarterback for the Vikings. I'm not sure which team I want to sell stock on more in week two. That's my problem here. Emerson. I'm, I'm a little bit, I'm in gridlock with this one as well, because I think the bears should be able to score at will against Minnesota and they're over aggressive defense, but it's not like the bears are going to stop them. So this could just be team with the ball last ends up covering.
00:47:53
Speaker 7: I'm kind of, I'm kind of with you on that, which has me what's the totals changed a little bit. So 47 and a half. yeah it is oh i'm looking at 47 right now but hey you know.
00:48:08
Speaker 2: My internet dropping there's got to be some sharp action hitting the under because it's just yeah.
00:48:15
Speaker 3: And i think um.
00:48:18
Speaker 7: I have memory loss but i'd I had a little commercial spot that I had to shoot on Tuesday. I think it was specific to this game. I actually want to say five of the last seven with these two teams, five of the last seven games between them, I think went under.
00:48:33
Speaker 3: I don't know.
00:48:34
Speaker 7: You guys have smarter guys behind the scenes than me. So I don't really know what to do with this game. I would probably lean towards Chicago, to be honest, and hopefully they prove me right. But that was a 96-point game.
00:48:49
Speaker 3: That they just took part in. So not really expecting that again.
00:48:53
Speaker 7: Um, but I don't know over 47 and a half feels like realistic.
00:48:58
Speaker 3: I mean, I would, I would mess more with the total on this one, if anything.
00:49:02
Speaker 2: Me too.
00:49:03
Speaker 1: Ben Johnson came out this week and said that their MO.
00:49:05
Speaker 4: Is basically just to outscore everybody in the league. But the reason that this isn't a play for me is just the injuries across the board. Jordan Mason goes to IR. Juwan Jennings, DNP. Van Ginkle was limited. We don't know what the hell is going on with Kyler. Kyle Monunga was limited. Malik Muhammad limited.
00:49:19
Speaker 1: DeAndre Swift, limited. Xavier Woods, limited.
00:49:21
Speaker 4: Just too many question marks for me to be able to have a real strong opinion about anything here.
00:49:26
Speaker 7: Dude, Ben Johnson said before this season, and it showed last week, he's like, we are out to break the NFL scoring record. Most points scored in a season. Last week was like, okay, I don't think this guy's fucking around.
00:49:40
Speaker 1: No, they just want to outscore everybody. They don't care about defense. I don't hate it.
00:49:44
Speaker 3: I don't either. It's entertaining as hell. I don't give a shit about defense.
00:49:49
Speaker 2: Maybe bet some props in this game with no Jordan Mason. Aaron Jones should go off. I would look his way in the prop market early on in the seat. Another old head early on in the season when he's got the backfield all to himself, it's Vikings or pass on the spread. The bears are the new all hype team. We'll fade them at another week and move. to the ugliest game on the card.
00:50:11
Speaker 1: I'm vetoing whatever you're about to say.
00:50:12
Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, well, you, you know, it's coming. Um, yeah. Falcons plus two and a half. This is for most people out there that don't enjoy Falcons football. Like I do. This is the I'm good. Uh, um, please show me the next game on red zone game of the week. Bryce young was awesome last week, but how much of that was Chicago and the defense that we said doesn't care. about allowing teams to score. Cooper Rush threw for 53 yards to his wide receivers. Kyle Pitts had no yards. So I don't even know where the, the rest, I guess, was Bijan Robinson.
00:50:48
Speaker 3: Yeah, good thing they gave him an extension.
00:50:52
Speaker 2: For sure.
00:50:53
Speaker 1: Gravitz, just say it.
00:50:56
Speaker 3: Say it, coward.
00:50:57
Speaker 1: Yeah, pussy.
00:50:58
Speaker 2: This is my official.
00:51:00
Speaker 6: Wow.
00:51:02
Speaker 2: Building up to it. Okay.
00:51:05
Speaker 3: Yeah. Well hurry up. Land the damn plane.
00:51:08
Speaker 2: Falcons plus two and a half is an official nomination. Number one success rate on defense last week. You know who it was? Atlanta last place luck team last week. You know who it was? Atlanta home team in division as an underdog with a defense that just allowed 59 points on the other side. It is Atlanta all the way official nomination that has been vetoed. Thank you very much. Speaker 0 7, next game on the card. The bangles are in Houston to take on the Texans. Texans laying three total at 46 and a half. The Texans defense vastly underperformed last week, Josh Allen diced them up. And this is where it's easy to project a bounce back effort, but they've got Joe burrow in town and they couldn't stop Josh Palmer and DJ more. Now they have to contend with Jamar chase and T Higgins. I love this game so much. Somebody, please. I don't have a hot stance on either side. Someone talk me into the Bengals or the Texans, because this is a game that I just kind of want to bet on. Kendra.
00:52:10
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:52:10
Speaker 1: Oh, go ahead, Emerson.
00:52:12
Speaker 3: No, I mean, I just have Houston at home below a field goal.
00:52:15
Speaker 7: I mean, that seems relatively attractive, especially with isn't Joe Burrow dealing with like back tightness or something like that.
00:52:23
Speaker 3: So, like, I don't know.
00:52:24
Speaker 7: Has Houston's defense, has the fall off, which they were, what, the number one defense last year and second, I think, in points scored. But, anywho, Houston's pass defense here, pass rush, could definitely make this matchup difficult for Joe Burrow if he's back there with.
00:52:40
Speaker 3: A tight back.
00:52:41
Speaker 7: As someone who suffers from a tight back a lot, which is why I love to sit in the sauna, make friends in the sauna. Like, yeah, it's not easy, guys.
00:52:49
Speaker 1: Correct me if I'm wrong.
00:52:50
Speaker 4: I don't think D'Amico Ryan's has ever lost off of a, or lost off of like some, Evan, isn't there some stat he hasn't lost after like a week one opening where he got beat? He didn't, he hasn't lost like the following week in his career, even through like his everything else.
00:53:07
Speaker 5: I would believe it.
00:53:08
Speaker 3: There's a stat for everything.
00:53:10
Speaker 2: Evan's got it. Evan's got it. He's giving his finger.
00:53:12
Speaker 1: Guns to the camera.
00:53:15
Speaker 5: It was the one I gave, I think, over the weekend.
00:53:17
Speaker 6: I can't remember.
00:53:18
Speaker 5: I think I told you guys. So after they allow 30-plus, they're 8-0. 6-2 against a number under D'Amico.
00:53:24
Speaker 1: Okay.
00:53:25
Speaker 4: My concern here, though, is Will Anderson, limited. Trent Brown, he did participate, but not 100%. JVN Clowney didn't practice.
00:53:34
Speaker 1: Nico Collins was limited. Dalton Schultz didn't practice.
00:53:37
Speaker 4: I would love the Texans here if they were healthy in a Week 2 situation. I get that Joe Burrow's injured.
00:53:44
Speaker 1: Injured? Are we going to call it injured? I don't know.
00:53:46
Speaker 2: They are technically injured. He sat out of a Wednesday practice. That's not that big of a deal.
00:53:51
Speaker 4: Yeah, but I just can't do it. I would love to be on Houston here, but.
00:53:55
Speaker 1: I can't do it.
00:53:57
Speaker 7: Hey, Cincinnati, all the investment they made in that defense, paying off, forcing four fumbles last week against Tampa Bay, which has already been made clear on the show. Kendra has zero faith in Tampa Bay or Baker Mayfield.
00:54:11
Speaker 3: It's true.
00:54:11
Speaker 2: True to that. And let me make sure I'm pronouncing his name right. Kendra, you're a name pronunciation guide. Henry two Oh two. Oh, I believe is the.
00:54:19
Speaker 3: That's about right.
00:54:19
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:54:19
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:54:20
Speaker 2: That's about right. Uh, I might've added an extra. Oh, but middle linebacker for the Houston Texans has hit the IR. The middle of that defense was exploited against the Buffalo bills. If you don't like either side, one thing I have bet into this game, Mike is sicky. Look at what Dalton Kincaid did to this defense last week. I think the Bengals are going to attack the middle of the field. I laddered. I'm not the biggest ladder guy, but this feels like a good time to do it. Over two and a half receptions, over three and a half receptions, over four and a half receptions. You get the one at the top at five to one for Mike Kosicki. That's the way that I've bet into this game. Not making it into the contest, it seems like.
00:55:01
Speaker 6: No. Right.
00:55:02
Speaker 2: Okay. On to the 4 p.m.s. Raiders chargers chargers laying six and a half total at 43 and a half. No team left the NFL faithful fan down last week. Like the LA chargers. They were the number one survivor entry. 30% of the field is gone. And you know how this works. People are going to spite bet against the LA chargers. Now they are prime for a bounce back here against a team that Played the Miami Dolphins. Soft start for the Las Vegas Chargers. Chargers also 10-1-1 ATS in division games over the last three seasons. This is where they shine. Emerson, can we back the Chargers?
00:55:48
Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely. Especially with Madison Beer in the stands. Oh, goodness gracious. More cutaways, please. More cutaways. My wife's not home, so I could say that.
00:56:00
Speaker 7: The number just below that key seven here, folks. And I'm expecting a Chargers response after that ugly opener. Again, with Madison Bear and her big, beautiful eyes watching from the stands.
00:56:16
Speaker 3: And listen, I'd rather lay six.
00:56:18
Speaker 7: And a half than pay, what, minus 305 on the money line, whatever.
00:56:21
Speaker 3: It is now?
00:56:22
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:56:23
Speaker 3: So, yeah, go with the fighting, Madison Bears.
00:56:28
Speaker 4: Official nomination from me on the Chargers. I get that the Raiders are the pirates of the year for us, but the Chargers are a touchdown better than them.
00:56:37
Speaker 1: What is, where is, did I upset?
00:56:39
Speaker 2: Emerson just left.
00:56:40
Speaker 3: No, I had to put my AC on. It's getting steamy in here.
00:56:46
Speaker 2: That's the podcast. That's not your air conditioning. That's just how it feels when we pod together.
00:56:52
Speaker 3: Wrecked up, baby.
00:56:53
Speaker 1: The Chargers are a touchdown better than the Raiders.
00:56:56
Speaker 4: I have full faith in the fact that the Raiders are going to have a much better year than they did last year. There is no way that they can't. But this team needs a bounce back. They need a prove it moment. And what better team to do it against than the freaking Raiders?
00:57:08
Speaker 1: And they're at home.
00:57:09
Speaker 4: I get that they don't have a huge home field advantage because nobody in LA gives a fuck about football. But they're in their routine. And I think that that's what's important. They need to come out and have a huge game here. And I'll take the touchdown.
00:57:20
Speaker 3: Raiders fans show up, especially for games in LA, man.
00:57:25
Speaker 2: Oh, Hey, that it's definitely not a home field advantage for the chargers, but they are the better team. And this is a big bounce back over correction kind of spot. Evan is shaking his head. He could not disagree more. Evan said before we hopped on that. He liked the Raiders. Do you want to.
00:57:43
Speaker 6: Know?
00:57:43
Speaker 2: I was just agreeing with you before there's some consensus here.
00:57:47
Speaker 5: No, I was just agreeing with you in the fact that this is not even close going to be a Chargers home game. There's going to be a lot of Raider fans. I feel like this is just a big overreaction to what we think the Chargers could be based off win total, based off a lot of things. I just, I would bet the Raiders here and I would wait, but that's just my feeling.
00:58:07
Speaker 7: Give me one Madison beer against 30,000 Raiders fans.
00:58:11
Speaker 1: All right. Chargers make it in.
00:58:13
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:58:14
Speaker 2: We have, this is now the third cleavage mention on the show sydney sweeney bill belichick and madison b are all making it on all right i don't hate.
00:58:25
Speaker 4: Cleavage dude are we are we are we boob guys i think we're tick guys i'm kind of whatever i.
00:58:31
Speaker 7: Could get guy depending on the mood of my wife see my thing is.
00:58:35
Speaker 2: Into your 40s you're kind of just an everything yeah i have.
00:58:40
Speaker 4: I have to be tits because i'm not hitting shit from the back i've got to be tits you haven't pegged a guy.
00:58:49
Speaker 1: Can't answer that.
00:58:52
Speaker 6: Okay.
00:58:53
Speaker 2: Chargers minus six and a half is a contest play for us.
00:58:58
Speaker 3: That wasn't a no.
00:59:02
Speaker 5: Chargers minus six and a half is the pegging.
00:59:04
Speaker 6: Of the week.
00:59:06
Speaker 3: Dude, we have to do that. Until I'm on the show, we're going to have a peg of the week bet.
00:59:10
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:59:13
Speaker 4: Uh my dms are about to be fucking crazy hell.
00:59:17
Speaker 2: Yeah you really brought it brought it onto yourself here.
00:59:19
Speaker 7: Screen screen grab those and push them out i want to i want to know all the freaks out there.
00:59:26
Speaker 2: We're clipping this conversation and sending it to your wife emerson jagged broncos broncos minus two and a half total at 45 and a half this could get ugly here fam um Speaker 0 7, Jack's off of a monster win against Cleveland, Denver wet the bed in front of Taylor Swift and Tom cruise two very different experiences in week one. Also the Jags went into Denver last year. The Broncos had won 11 games in a row when they played last season. And they did, they whooped them. Emerson. This is a Jags podcast. We should be on the Jacksonville Jaguars here, but I think the Broncos are live for a bounce back. This is the Classic over reaction. Everyone's selling their Broncos stock after one bad game against the Kansas city chiefs. There have been more bets placed this week for super bowl futures on the Jacksonville Jaguars than anybody else.
01:00:22
Speaker 1: People are stupid. People are stupid.
01:00:25
Speaker 4: If you, Emerson, can attest to this, if you're a Jacksonville Jaguars fan, you know that next year is going to be the year to bet on the Jaguars to win a Super Bowl because they're going to win it while they're playing in fucking Orlando.
01:00:35
Speaker 1: This is not the year. That is the most Jags thing to ever Jags.
01:00:41
Speaker 4: I have the Jags money line because I think that this team is on a roll right now.
01:00:45
Speaker 1: They're being discredited.
01:00:47
Speaker 4: Everyone's just like, well, it's just the Browns. And to be honest, if this comes down to a field goal, Cam Little can hit it from 75 in that fucking altitude, baby.
01:00:56
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:00:57
Speaker 3: Maybe 90.
01:00:57
Speaker 6: Dude.
01:00:58
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:00:59
Speaker 7: When you consider the fact they'll be playing their home games in Orlando, I saw someone tweet out yesterday, 28 of their next 33 games, the Jags will play on the road. Outside of Jacksonville. Like, let that sink in, BK. No other fucking team in the NFL is built like the Jags. Anytime, anywhere, anyone. Bring it, Dildo Baggins. And you can suck my white ass, buddy, because you know what? The Jags have won and covered their last nine regular season games.
01:01:30
Speaker 1: Nine in a row.
01:01:31
Speaker 7: Freaking horny. Dating back to week 11 of last season. Jaguars plus two.
01:01:40
Speaker 3: And a half. Give it to me.
01:01:43
Speaker 4: And historically, historically, since the Jag started, they have played so well in Denver.
01:01:49
Speaker 1: I think they're nine and six. They're all time.
01:01:53
Speaker 2: It is that they, that they have. And I will say this Trevor Lawrence, this is in the primary this week. He does like momentum. Trevor Lawrence has had success against the spread off of a straight up win 22 and 14 ATS and, after the Jags win a game. So he is sort of a front running quarterback in that way. This is just simply a discount on a team that I think had a bad game.
01:02:16
Speaker 4: We don't have to put this in.
01:02:19
Speaker 1: I've got two uglier things.
01:02:20
Speaker 4: This doesn't have to be a nomination for me because we both have bets on this game and I already used my veto, but I'm just telling you Kravitz, if the Jags win, you're never going to hear the end of it from these two idiots.
01:02:31
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:02:32
Speaker 2: Yep, that's true. I tried to put the Jags in the contest last week, and we had our guest talk us out of it. We've got to start bullying these people.
01:02:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't have to bully me. We're all on the same page here.
01:02:43
Speaker 1: We're bullying you.
01:02:44
Speaker 3: That's my bet of the week, buddy.
01:02:46
Speaker 2: That's it. Try to veto it. I feel pegged at this moment.
01:02:50
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:02:51
Speaker 2: Dolphins, 49ers, Niners, minus 13 and a half. Total of 44 and a half. This one should be interesting. The 49ers put all of their travel eggs into the basket of winning in Australia and they did convincingly, but this is where jet lag is supposed to hurt them. This is what Dr. Chow has been telling us. The ironic part is that they're playing against the dolphins who do have to travel across the country. Actually, they may have stayed over there, but anyway, um, nevertheless, It doesn't matter because they're terrible.
01:03:25
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:03:26
Speaker 2: So the question is, are you going to bet against the 49ers because of the travel fatigue? Or are you going to lay it with them because they're taking on potentially the worst team in the NFL? Kendra, what are we going to do here?
01:03:40
Speaker 4: Official nomination from me on the dolphins.
01:03:45
Speaker 1: I'm fading. I'm feeding the 49ers travel as someone who's flown 75,000 miles this year and spent 120 hours on flights.
01:03:53
Speaker 4: I'm telling you that going over there for a week and then not having as much time to recover like the Rams, you're still going to have jet lag in this spot.
01:04:02
Speaker 1: I know that it's the Dolphins.
01:04:03
Speaker 4: They, without a doubt, are the worst team in the NFL this year. But I think that they can cover almost two touchdowns against a team that's got injury issues and that's going.
01:04:13
Speaker 1: To be sleepy. I'm sorry.
01:04:15
Speaker 4: I think this is a nomination for me. Emerson still has a veto.
01:04:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going to veto that.
01:04:22
Speaker 7: These are grown, beefy, muscular, chiseled professional football players.
01:04:27
Speaker 1: I've got another one in the chamber. That's okay. Veto it.
01:04:30
Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
01:04:30
Speaker 3: I just vetoed the shit out of it. All right? The Dolphins have a quarterback who can't even tie his shoes. Okay?
01:04:38
Speaker 1: I agree. I've talked a lot of shit about Malik Willis. He was my college quarterback for a minute. I know.
01:04:45
Speaker 3: Oh, I know you know.
01:04:46
Speaker 6: And.
01:04:47
Speaker 7: This is going to be lopsided as fuck, which all you have to do is look at the money line.
01:04:52
Speaker 4: I think 49ers could bench their starters and we could see a backdoor cover here.
01:04:56
Speaker 3: I hate that.
01:04:57
Speaker 7: And that wouldn't shock me now that I think about it. But yeah, minus 900 on the money line.
01:05:03
Speaker 3: No, thank you. But yeah, I got to veto that, dude.
01:05:07
Speaker 2: All right. I'm glad that you did. This might be the only time. I'm disappointed that I don't agree with Kendra Moore because... This is, this is, um, it, it does warm the cockles of my heart that you would nominate.
01:05:23
Speaker 3: Yeah. That's what I heard.
01:05:26
Speaker 2: No, it's like the, um, it's like the little holes that let the blood anyway.
01:05:30
Speaker 3: Yeah. We don't.
01:05:31
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:05:33
Speaker 2: This is one of my favorite trends from the primer since 1990, only six teams in week one and week two have closed plus 13 or higher after entering the year with a win total above five, they went Oh, and six straight up one in five against the spread failing to cover by nearly 12 points per game. So just to assume that the dolphins, because they're a big underdog are going to cover, uh, not historically accurate also. And this one's even more fascinating. Since 2005, we've only seen two other instances where a team has closed as a double digit favorite in week two and the line then moved three points. So they were 10 and a half now 13 and a half. The two teams where this happened prior Rams, 2018 Ravens, 2006, they won by a combined score of 62 to six. When the books are telling you this team is superior to this degree, this early in the season to their opponent. They tend to get it right. Evan, that's the way that I read that trend. Am I misquoting any of your brilliance?
01:06:38
Speaker 5: Seems like you did a great job. Right from the primer.
01:06:42
Speaker 3: Take it off. Nailed it.
01:06:44
Speaker 5: Ten commandments.
01:06:45
Speaker 2: I do like the Dolphins in the first half. This is my other first half bet that I have this week. Plus seven and a half in the first half. If the 49ers do have some of that travel brain fog, I think we see it early. Plus seven and a half in the first half.
01:07:01
Speaker 7: Guys, they've been home for like eight days. And I know Kendra, you've traveled like a hundred thousand bajillion miles this year, but these dudes are built different.
01:07:13
Speaker 2: All right.
01:07:14
Speaker 3: Gamble on San Francisco turning and went into a blowout.
01:07:17
Speaker 1: Okay.
01:07:18
Speaker 2: Seahawk, not in the contest. Seahawks Cardinals Cardinals are three and a half point dogs. Total of 50 and a half. This is our team, our official bird of the podcast. In theory, This would be a good time to fade them, but I don't want to do that here because I'm in love and Sam Darnold's not quarterbacking the Seahawks. It's drew lock. So I would love to throw this team back into the contest. Kendra, do we have consensus week two, two in a row on the Cardinals?
01:07:48
Speaker 6: No.
01:07:50
Speaker 1: I think, no.
01:07:51
Speaker 4: That defense is going to beat the crap out of them.
01:07:55
Speaker 1: I'm sorry I can't get there this week. I love the birds.
01:07:59
Speaker 4: This is a real bird off where there's a very superior bird.
01:08:03
Speaker 3: Just birds cranking.
01:08:06
Speaker 7: I mean, man, dude, this podcast has made me horny.
01:08:11
Speaker 3: I want you both to know that. Drew Locke was solid in relief.
01:08:15
Speaker 1: Emerson is into pegging now.
01:08:18
Speaker 3: Who says I wasn't before? Anywho.
01:08:21
Speaker 2: Seattle, extra prep time.
01:08:23
Speaker 3: We know how big that is in the NFL.
01:08:26
Speaker 7: And a defense that should give Arizona a much tougher test than L.A.
01:08:30
Speaker 3: Did. So, yeah, I'm going Seahawks minus three and a half. Is that what it is?
01:08:38
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:08:39
Speaker 2: Week two, we've seen 33 teams play after winning outright as a touchdown underdog or more in week one. Those teams... are 20 and 10 ATS the next week, 13 and seven as an underdog still undervalued. I want them in the contest.
01:08:58
Speaker 4: You guys just give me shit about wanting the Packers on the road with the three and a half fuck you guys.
01:09:05
Speaker 2: Wow Arizona's at home here we got a home divisional dog that's looking sharp right.
01:09:11
Speaker 4: Now fuck you guys whatever fuck me.
01:09:16
Speaker 7: Yeah It's like the 50 cent meme.
01:09:21
Speaker 2: Like, what'd you say fuck you for? We are on the struggle bus when it comes to putting this contest together. We have two of the five right now. We have Browns plus eight and a half, Chargers minus six and a half. And I guess begrudgingly, we have the Steelers plus five and a half. So we've got two more that we need to fit in and I'm running out of games here. Commander Cowboys.
01:09:44
Speaker 3: Wait, did my Jags one not make it? Is this my Jags picked up part of yours that you guys have to build? What is this? What is this game?
01:09:51
Speaker 2: Oh, is that the official? Is that the official Emerson nomination?
01:09:54
Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah.
01:09:55
Speaker 3: I said that, but you were talking about pegging and probably didn't hear me.
01:10:00
Speaker 2: All right.
01:10:00
Speaker 3: Fine. Yeah. Put it in Cox and his heart. I know dude, whatever the hell that is.
01:10:06
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:10:07
Speaker 2: I'm in.
01:10:09
Speaker 3: Cowboys.
01:10:10
Speaker 1: I've got one more nomination just in case.
01:10:12
Speaker 2: That's good. Now, you know, I went from thinking that we had all these slots to fill, but we really only have one. I will review this at the end for those listening and watching along that are confused. The Cowboys offense clearly took a hit last week. Tyler Smith, not anchoring that offensive line. The good news is, is that Dallas is taking on a Washington pass rush that shouldn't offer the same challenges that that the giants bash pass rush does. There's really not a bone in my body that wants to bet on this game. Dallas smashes at home. Dak historically outside of last week has done well against the NFC East, but I feel like the commanders are being discounted with this line sideline for me, unless I can be coaxed into it.
01:10:55
Speaker 1: No, I also think Gifford would kill us.
01:11:01
Speaker 2: Emerson.
01:11:02
Speaker 3: Wait, what's the deal with Gifford?
01:11:04
Speaker 1: He's a Cowboys fan, and he's very upset.
01:11:08
Speaker 6: This defense, if you want to beat them, I think it's going to get cleaned up, but that's a lot. Backdoor.
01:11:16
Speaker 5: Talk about backdoors being wide open and pegging on this show.
01:11:20
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:11:20
Speaker 5: That backdoor is going to be wide open.
01:11:23
Speaker 2: Dude, motion to rename.
01:11:24
Speaker 3: Peg of the week.
01:11:26
Speaker 5: Peg of the week, dude.
01:11:27
Speaker 7: I was going to say motion to rename this podcast The Peggers.
01:11:31
Speaker 3: I think that would be awesome. I don't know.
01:11:35
Speaker 5: The peg of the week has to be a backdoor, right? It's got to be a dog. It's going to be the dolphin.
01:11:40
Speaker 3: I just want to be clear about that. I have to be clear about that.
01:11:44
Speaker 2: That is perfect.
01:11:45
Speaker 3: Look at us. The brain juices are flowing.
01:11:48
Speaker 1: The dolphins are the peg of the week.
01:11:49
Speaker 6: Yes.
01:11:51
Speaker 1: You don't want to do it, but it's there.
01:11:53
Speaker 3: That is a great point. Absolutely needs to be someone coming through the backdoor.
01:11:57
Speaker 6: 100%.
01:11:57
Speaker 3: I don't know, man. Washington get more than field goal here. Kind of interests me.
01:12:03
Speaker 2: I think so too. I lean the way. Yeah.
01:12:06
Speaker 3: You think it probably stays with them. One possession.
01:12:09
Speaker 6: Maybe.
01:12:09
Speaker 2: I mean, our producers, the Cowboys insider early, we should take his, we should take his advice on this. We might want to throw the commanders in as our final team.
01:12:16
Speaker 1: But we'll tape.
01:12:18
Speaker 2: We'll table that. Cause we got, we have, we have two more that we could throw in there. The Colts are in Kansas city to take on the chiefs on Sunday night football. Chiefs laying six and a half total at 46 and a half, two completely different weak ones for these squads. The Colts were steamrolled by Baltimore. The chiefs ran all over Denver, but is my homes. Okay. It feels like Andy Reed is slow playing this passing attack. The only other quarterback last week to not throw a pass of more than 10 yards down the field or complete a pass more than 10 yards down the field was Cooper rush, Cooper rush and Patrick Mahomes. That's not the company that you want to keep. I'm a little concerned about Kansas city here.
01:13:01
Speaker 7: I think they were just running the hell out. I definitely think like what Walker, how many times he rushed the ball?
01:13:07
Speaker 3: Maybe almost 30 times.
01:13:08
Speaker 7: Like, you know, you didn't need all, you didn't need my home said like, do everything for you. Like having years past, you have a legit running back like behind you, you know?
01:13:17
Speaker 1: So I think that I'm nominating the chiefs. Cause I think that they are a touchdown better than the Colts.
01:13:22
Speaker 4: It doesn't matter if they have to run the ball, throw the ball, they can get it done against a really shitty team.
01:13:26
Speaker 1: I don't believe in Daniel Jones. I don't think they're going to be able to score.
01:13:29
Speaker 4: This is all chiefs for me and it's home at Arrowhead.
01:13:33
Speaker 1: Give me the fucking chiefs all day.
01:13:35
Speaker 7: These are two quarterbacks coming back from like serious injuries here too. And the key here is, and I'm with Kendra on this. I want Casey below seven. My home's, At home, in primetime, only needing a touchdown margin here?
01:13:50
Speaker 3: Like, that's the angle.
01:13:51
Speaker 6: Chiefs.
01:13:53
Speaker 2: Here's the thing. I am assuming that throughout Mahomes' career, he's been overvalued in primetime and is actually a good bet against when he's in this sort of window. Evan, do we have numbers on Patrick Mahomes?
01:14:07
Speaker 1: We're bullying you. It's two to one.
01:14:09
Speaker 2: I need the stats on this before I can even stomach it.
01:14:13
Speaker 5: Uh, 6 p.m. Eastern or later, 6 p.m. Eastern or later, Pat's 40 and 16 straight out. More importantly for this conversation, 31, 24 and one against the spread.
01:14:23
Speaker 3: Pretty nice.
01:14:24
Speaker 5: Um, as a six plus point favorite in that spot, 16 and one straight up nine and eight against the number. The one that's just really weird is recently. So last year as a six plus point favorite, he went three and oh, the year before that Oh seven and one. It just kind of depends on like what you're discussing in terms of value. We have a best bets podcast. We do a Stucky and Doug.
01:14:46
Speaker 6: I like the Colts.
01:14:48
Speaker 5: I was waiting for seven on this one. I just didn't love what I saw out of the, out of the chiefs offense. So I disagree with you guys. I think the Colts defense is obviously a huge question mark, but they're going to give the ball to Taylor like a hundred times in this game. And if you like the under, you probably do like the touchdown.
01:15:05
Speaker 3: So I'll say that. Interesting. I mean, that's your opinion, man, but it's wrong.
01:15:11
Speaker 5: It is probably wrong.
01:15:11
Speaker 3: Thanks.
01:15:13
Speaker 2: Another one of those teams that fit every single week to overreaction. Take the dog trend. This is just not how we're going to crank out an income on betting. The NFL is betting Kansas city after they had the performance of their lives. It was a bad bet. That was a terrible bet. Okay. They're not all going to be bangers.
01:15:37
Speaker 6: All right. Fine.
01:15:38
Speaker 2: We'll put the chiefs. We'll put the chiefs in. Well, before we officially do that giants Rams on Monday night football, we'll give you the full preview on the Monday pod. Are we just not even gonna, we're not, we're not messing with this.
01:15:51
Speaker 6: Nope.
01:15:51
Speaker 2: No, the giants are getting seven points and the Rams also came back from Australia. So, okay.
01:15:58
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:15:59
Speaker 7: According to you guys and I'm coming back having like nine days of rest.
01:16:02
Speaker 3: That's like not enough, you know?
01:16:05
Speaker 2: I'm sensing a dash of sarcasm.
01:16:08
Speaker 1: What's the longest flight you've ever been on Emerson?
01:16:13
Speaker 3: Are you kidding me? I have flown to London.
01:16:19
Speaker 4: Okay.
01:16:20
Speaker 6: Yeah.
01:16:20
Speaker 1: Hell yeah.
01:16:21
Speaker 3: And then I took the shuttle to Paris. That's a lot of travel. I've been to Ireland. I don't know. Yeah, I get it. Like you've been to Guam. And all these wonderful, beautiful places.
01:16:33
Speaker 4: I'm just saying, sitting like that for fucking 32 hours is.
01:16:38
Speaker 2: Well, they're not sitting like that, though.
01:16:40
Speaker 1: No, dude.
01:16:41
Speaker 3: They've got clubs and restaurants in these planes.
01:16:45
Speaker 2: Anyway, let's run now.
01:16:46
Speaker 5: Russell Wilson in the aisles.
01:16:48
Speaker 1: Russell Wilson can suck my balls.
01:16:51
Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
01:16:54
Speaker 4: Let's do this.
01:16:55
Speaker 2: Throw the icing on the cake here. Time to finalize the final five presented by draft Kings. The crown is yours. I should have let Emerson do that. Brown's plus eight and a half against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That's our nasty dog of the week. LA chargers minus six and a half as a bounce back against the Raiders. We have the Steelers sliding in there as we fade the pats for the second week in a row, plus five and a half, the Kansas city chiefs as favorites in prime time, what could go wrong? Mine is six and a half against the Colts and the Emerson special. You guys bullied me into the Jacksonville Jaguars plus two and a half. That is our official contest. Why should you place these bets at draft Kings? Because all draft Kings customers are getting a profit boost every game day in the month of September. And that is why the crown is yours. I'm sure that this is not the last that we have seen of you, Emerson. Thanks so much.
01:17:52
Speaker 7: It better not be. I love you guys, especially Kendra. But, PK, I am jealous. Like, you're in the future home of the Jacksonville Jaguars for one season. Are you planning on going to a lot of those games next year?
01:18:07
Speaker 2: Probably not. I'll go to a couple, but I really like my red zone set up on Sunday.
01:18:13
Speaker 1: Emerson, are you going to the slab next week?
01:18:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, I can walk over there.
01:18:17
Speaker 7: I'm going with one of my best friends who I have known since kindergarten.
01:18:22
Speaker 3: So he and I have not been there.
01:18:24
Speaker 1: With my best friends since elementary school.
01:18:27
Speaker 3: Holy shit.
01:18:29
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:18:30
Speaker 7: Last time I walked over there, I couldn't find you. That was like the first time I went over there. I was supposed to be doing like live hits and shit.
01:18:36
Speaker 1: I'll be with the girls and the gays. I'll be easy to find.
01:18:39
Speaker 6: Dude.
01:18:39
Speaker 3: I love the gays. It's like all my best friends in Boston are the gays.
01:18:42
Speaker 1: I'll be with them.
01:18:44
Speaker 2: Compliment.
01:18:44
Speaker 3: Yes, I'm going to show up. Yeah, absolutely.
01:18:49
Speaker 1: The end.
01:18:50
Speaker 2: I was just going to wait until they wrapped it up. The favorites will return on Monday as we recap week two of the NFL season. We're the peggers. Not the favorites. We're the peggers.
