Speaker 1: No Dunks is brought to you by game Time, your new go to app for the best deals on last minute tickets. Ticket prices drop right before the game starts, and because game Time tracks prices in real time from thousands of trusted sellers, they're able to show you the best last minute deals with prices up to sixty percent off. And if you ask me, the best part about game Time, it's that easy, smooth, two tap check out system. Got a new phone yesterday. I had to set up my Bluetooth in the car this morning. Skeets took me five clicks, five clicks of the wheel to get the Bluetooth connected.
00:00:31
Speaker 2: I was sitting there like, let's go, let's go. We got a guest in studio. Man, let's go connect.
00:00:36
Speaker 1: You're one hundred percent right. It was a chilly morning. Our buns were getting a little chilled. Took five clicks. If it would have happened for two taps, we would have been listening to the baby a lot earlier. But that's why the game Time app is so great. It's simple, quick, and easy to navigate. You download the game Time app in the Google Player App Store to score last minute deals on tickets up to sixty percent off.
00:01:09
Speaker 2: Welcome to the No Dunks podcast series Squad, the show where we draft teams like we're NBA general managers. The only catch that very specific draft pool we're working from. I'm j. E. Skeiths here in the war room with tasks, with Trey, with Lee and the man making the magic happen.
00:01:26
Speaker 1: Jad.
00:01:26
Speaker 2: Gentlemen, how's everybody doing today?
00:01:28
Speaker 1: Hello? Sir?
00:01:29
Speaker 3: What else?
00:01:29
Speaker 2: Yes? Yes, yes, guys. This week the Athletics NBA site is celebrating Shoe Blitz twenty nineteen. They've got stories already up on Giannis's signature shoe, Dennis Shrewder wearing Kadi's, and OKC. There's an in depth look at stock x Cassidy Hubbern is running down her top shoes so much more really cool shoe Blitz twenty nineteen. So we wanted to get in on the fun and that's exactly what we're gonna do here today on Squad. We're drafting sneakers. Yes, yes, five categories, as always, five categories guys to draft from. We'll tackle each one of them one round at a time. In the first round, we'll be drafting our favorite air. Jordan's all right, so no shortage to pick from. What do we have to thirty four total? You're drafting, obviously a Jordan number from one from the collection. In the second round, we'll be drafting a signature sneaker. Has to be a non Jordan's shoe and has to have been worn by a professional basketball player. Really the only rule.
00:02:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, you're saying, that's right.
00:02:36
Speaker 2: In the third round, we'll be drafting what we're calling a classic kick. Okay, you gotta go old school with this selection. What does old school mean? I don't know. Not as all times I know. That's the interesting part with that one. Maybe we'll be debating that when we get to the third round. In the fourth round, we'll be drafting what we're calling the novelty shoe. Now, this is where you can start getting really creative, right. It can be anything anything you want. For example, you could draft Shaquille O'Neal's cell phone shoe from All Star Weekend. You can draft literally anything.
00:03:11
Speaker 1: I've seen a picture on Twitter of somebody wearing like a hollowed out loaf of bread as a shoe.
00:03:17
Speaker 2: Consider, Yeah, as long as it's like a real thing and not a photoshop. But I bet you at some points.
00:03:23
Speaker 3: I saw that bread. I saw that bread, though more of a slipper. Okay, okay, okay, but good.
00:03:28
Speaker 2: Go it's it's still in play with the novelty shoe, and our final and fifth round will be leisure again. This one is fairly open to interpretation. The one rule to the leisure round it can't be a basketball shoe, you know, any otherwise any footwear is is fair game.
00:03:45
Speaker 1: So you're saying, maybe slip the bread slipper in.
00:03:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, if you really want to get those bread slippers. I mean I really have two rounds to consider drafting, all right. So those are the five categories. This draft, as always, will be held via no Dunk's rules false count anywhere, and all of us do get one crack at the number one pick in one of the five rounds. Guys, draft hard to beat the picks, make some trades if you want to, and remember you got to remember that the listeners will ultimately decide who has the best sneaker squad. We determined the draft order earlier in the week and task you're once again up first with the number one overall pick, and you start us off with the air Jordan category.
00:04:31
Speaker 3: I tanked hard for this pick. I tanked day of my life so I could draft the Air Jordan elevens ah colasssic. You know those beauty patent leathers. You can match them with any outfit. It's it's they're gorgeous, and that's simple as that. They're my favorite basketballs you ever, mainly because of the look, not so much because of the feel on the foot. I didn't actually love playing them myself. I wasn't as good as MJ was playing in them. But that's it. Everybody owns them. Every single human in the world owns them, so I'm just pandering to the to the crowd. Actually, the ones that I owned were fakes. Oh really, they were a straight Chinese fakes. So maybe I never played in them because I would have fell apart.
00:05:14
Speaker 4: You didn't like playing in thee.
00:05:16
Speaker 3: I would never have played in them. I would have killed myself.
00:05:18
Speaker 2: That's Trey. You're definitely the John Schueman here of this of this show, so we'll be probably turning to you for some facts. But that's like ninety six. That's like the space Jam Jordan space Jam door.
00:05:30
Speaker 1: That's right.
00:05:30
Speaker 2: The Air Jordan eleven is the concord.
00:05:32
Speaker 1: So seventy two one season, ninety five, ninety six. They've been retroed so many times. I think they just did. The black and red ones came out here in twenty nineteen. Great shoes. You still see guys in the NBA wearing them. You're like, still looks awesome.
00:05:44
Speaker 3: Yeah, they came out in ninety five, right after Jordan played a little baseball, so it kind of ushered in his career. Number two, right, everyone was wearing them and everyone And that's.
00:05:55
Speaker 2: A Tinker hat Field. That's right design, you know, the legendary Nike designer. Yeah, it's a it's a great pick. It's like the Lamborghini to me of sneakers or Air Jordan's just like, like you're saying, past that patented leather and the carbon fiber.
00:06:09
Speaker 1: It just looks love carbon fiber, right, so hard So Air.
00:06:15
Speaker 2: Jordan eleven the number one pick. You know our sneaker draft here, all right, I have the second pick. Man. There was seriously a lot of ways to go with this. I was torn. I had a feeling TASK would probably lean towards the elevens, so I thought they would maybe be off the board. But do I go, Do I go? Threes, do I go fours eighteen, I'm gonna go. I'm actually gonna go with the Air Jordan once. I'm going with the ogs. Yeah damn yeah eighty five. This not ticker hatfield. This is Peter Morris design and that's the first original logo. That's the wings surrounding the basketball. You remember, everybody has seen these shoes, the Air Jordan one's. There are a million, a million colorways. At the time, the black and red was pretty what Jordan was wearing back then when he was when he was a young guy in the league. Those were that was violating the league's uniform policy. I mean they were generating. Yeah, they were generating a five thousand dollars fine every time. And like he was, like, who cares? Keep wearing them. It's great, great publicity. I love this. I have the elevens, like like task pick there, but I also have a ton of ones, multiple pairs of Turbo greens, gold medals. I want those facedasms, those face out, So my Air Jordan one's not overthinking it. You're gonna be happy about that league, cause I know you're a big ass. You're making three or four man, so I guess you're fourth in this round. But let's get to the third.
00:07:36
Speaker 5: Pick, simmy, I believe that's correct.
00:07:44
Speaker 2: No, yes, that is correct.
00:07:47
Speaker 5: Okay, Well, first of all, usually in this show, I am way out of my comfort zone. I am way out of my comfort zone here. Oh really, Oh my god.
00:08:00
Speaker 4: Have you ever owned a pair of Jordan's?
00:08:01
Speaker 3: No, no, sir, but.
00:08:04
Speaker 5: I did episode I did have my eye on the Jordan ones. But I am going to pick the latest Jordan thirty four's white on University reda September of this year, designed by Tate Cubris Sure original price one hundred and eighty dollars. I want to be in those shoes.
00:08:31
Speaker 2: You're going with the Jordan thirty fours.
00:08:34
Speaker 5: That's right.
00:08:35
Speaker 1: Hey, I had them on my list. That's great. That's what I play in right now. They're fun.
00:08:39
Speaker 3: Oh you do? Yeah?
00:08:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, I can jump so high now yeah, jd me and you be throwing down no problem.
00:08:44
Speaker 5: Yeah, awesome.
00:08:46
Speaker 2: Thirty four's off the board, along with the elevens and the og ones. Time for the fourth round, fourth pick.
00:08:55
Speaker 4: But fourth pick in the first round. How the sneak a dropped at the Jordan category. I'm going with the Jordan two's.
00:09:02
Speaker 2: Oh too, yeah, you know, if you're going two threes or four.
00:09:05
Speaker 4: Favorite shoe of all time, favorite design of all time. I just love these. These are about eighty seven eighty six eighty seven season where Jordan Average thirty seven point won a game he won the Dunk contest in seat of that year, And to me, they just these were the first ones without the swoosh too. I mean obviously there was only one one pair before them, yeah, but I just thought everything about them was so cool. The color, the design, the style. The original ones were made out of Italian leather.
00:09:33
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, very swinky.
00:09:34
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:09:35
Speaker 4: And there was a guy in our neighborhood who had them. I just I worshiped it. Like he wore up to school and I was just like, I just want to look at this man just walking along in his Jordan two's. And I remember the first time I got a pair. They were the low Jordan two's on a on a retro like about two thousand and nine. I was walking around Toronto and I saw them and they were loads, and I was like, I gotta get them. They didn't have my size, they were too big. They were sized thirteen, but like Jordan two's, I got to get them. I played in them a couple of times and actually rolled my ankle because they were a little bit.
00:10:03
Speaker 2: But I actually think that Jordan two is a fairly simple looking stick.
00:10:07
Speaker 4: It is simple, but it's more about the time it came out and just again, like when I see some iconic early stuff of Jordan, that's the one that I really see and I think it's so cool and it's kind of like the first girl you fall in love with, you know, you kind of have a soft spot for her. So I'm rocking a pair right now of the wingts that came out I think in I don't know twenty fifteen or something like that, but I have got a pair of Jordan two's at home. I played them, I still wear them around just as casual shoes sometimes, and it's just for me, like like those are my favorite basketball shoes of all times. It's going to be very hard for me to ever think another pair is cooler and more impactful in my life, I think than the nose shoes.
00:10:47
Speaker 2: Who was the first girl you ever fell in love with?
00:10:49
Speaker 4: A great question?
00:10:51
Speaker 1: Their Jordan two of you?
00:10:53
Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm trying to think, I'm trying to mind.
00:10:55
Speaker 2: You must add a crush on somebody.
00:10:57
Speaker 1: Ah, he remembered.
00:11:02
Speaker 3: Yeah, it sounds like they're pretty forgettable.
00:11:03
Speaker 4: Say, like I say, my first girlfriend, Christy Okay, yeah cool.
00:11:10
Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I can't tell more Misty about the shoes or Christie.
00:11:16
Speaker 4: Yeah, if she was wearing Air Jordan two's, I mean, what a perfect match.
00:11:22
Speaker 2: I would have never let her go.
00:11:24
Speaker 6: Okay, Okay, So the two's off.
00:11:27
Speaker 2: The board with the fifth and final pick of the Air Jordan category, trick herby.
00:11:34
Speaker 1: Only thirty other Jordan's to choose from. Where to go? Where to go? I'm surprised it's still here, but I'm gonna go with the Jordan three. Yeah, it's a classic. Released in eighty eight, warn it for the Dunk Contest in Chicago in eighty eight. First one with an Air Jordan logo, with the jump Man logo. First Nike with visible air, had the elephant print. Yeah, I got a justin Timberlake Parrot Home made basically just for me, birthed out of my brain. So yeah, th three, that's uh, they're cool.
00:12:02
Speaker 2: I thought you were. For surely you're going to take three or four.
00:12:05
Speaker 4: There's so many to choose from, but like, like, the two is my first fighter, but so many of those just looks so cool when you say, you guys just still wearing them around tonight as a casual shoot.
00:12:14
Speaker 2: All right, great first round. Let's get to the second round, which is the signature sneaker non Jordan variety. I have the first pick torn on where to go with this one as well. You know, I guess I took Lebron out of the mix immediately because I have never been a huge Lebron sneaker guy. They're they're they're a bigger shoe to me. I do have some, but I don't like to play in them at all because they're too big or too bulky for me, and even wearing them, they're just still a little too large. So I'm gonna, okay, buy the Lebron's. Thought about going current with the Kyrie four's, actually playing those, I like them a lot. I love, you know, the million colorways they have for those, thought about going sort of legend area, maybe going with a Kobe thing, one of the Kobe's that I liked, either his you know, the the KB eights with when he was with Adiitas, or some of his super lightweight nikes. But I'm actually gonna go and I hope this is okay, I'm gonna go with the Nike air Foam posit ones, the Pennies as most people call them. Now, it's a weird one. It's like he has like five signature shoes Penny does. This one is sort of a signature shoe, but it's sort of like it's also sort of not yees close enough.
00:13:29
Speaker 1: They put his logo on it when they came out, right, so that's the big thing. There is a Penny one, but that's right to me. This is like the first Lebron was called the air Zoom generation, but they're still the first Lebron.
00:13:38
Speaker 2: Okay, that's fair, So that's good. So I'm taking the Nike air phone posit ones. Yeah, basically the Pennies. Now, the story with this too is pretty cool, like originally they were intended for Scotty Pippen and then Penny like saw them during a meeting and was like, whoa, whoa what because these do you remember what? These These shoes are pretty crazy looking, like they look futuristic even still to this day, sort of like that, how would you describe that? The mold mold, Yeah, it's it's pretty well and yeah, it's got the penny one cent logo on the tongue in the heel. These phone posit ones. They only came out in that one royal blue colorway too, which was pretty cool. And those things popped when he was with the Magic.
00:14:16
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, saw like Miles Simon wore them for Arizona way back in the day. There's a kid in my high school who had him Roy Alexander the third. When you bought them, they came in like a case and they were like three hundred dollars when they came out. They were crazy, and he would wear them for football practice outside. We're like, you're crazy, Roy Alexander. I was going by the thirty high school wearing his luxury shoes out on the football field, taking a lap around.
00:14:41
Speaker 3: The burn pile. Did you crazy?
00:14:44
Speaker 2: No, I've never owned them either.
00:14:46
Speaker 3: They are a bit of a big shoot.
00:14:48
Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but I do love how they look. And I was such a Penny fan too. That's the other part of this. You know, like these were released in ninety seven. I believe that's like, you know, Pennies sort of heyday, right, I totally forgot about I always forgot about the year that Shaq left the Magic and it was Penny's team. Yeah, and like they went to the playoffs and they took Miami, who were the two seed, the Magic of the seventh seed. It was the best of five at the time. They took him to five games and Penny was like averaging thirty points per game, and you know, like thirty one and six he was putting up like he was bold. I think it was a two seven seed. It was at one eight or two seven, it doesn't really matter. They were down there. That was without without Shack there.
00:15:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, Penny was awesome.
00:15:32
Speaker 2: It was awesome. Four time All Star, three time All NBA player, a big what if injuries good? Okay, But I got the uh the phone posit ones second pick.
00:15:45
Speaker 5: Well both, I've got two on my list and they're both still there, so that's exciting.
00:15:51
Speaker 3: Uh.
00:15:53
Speaker 5: I was thinking about going with Sean Kemp's reeboch Kamic Cozy. Yeah, it's a very bold designed the JAGD lines and stuff. Also, he had his best NBA season wearing those shoes. But I think I'm gonna go Patrick Ewing's Attitude nineteen eighty six with the New York Next colorway because it's just a classic basketball shoe and as I mean, I just was googling basketball shoes like three hours last night, and I was like, hey, that's a cool looking.
00:16:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, if you played ball, I could see you wearing a shoe like that. Yeah that makes sense.
00:16:29
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:16:30
Speaker 5: The only real exposure I had it during that time to basketball shoes was basically when the Red Hot Chili Peppers would just wear basketball shoes and one sock right right right, and they would wear shoes like that.
00:16:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, so sort of a bigger, clunkier, higher top.
00:16:47
Speaker 5: And they're like cool, I'd wear those, so are great.
00:16:50
Speaker 2: I'm taking those, Patrick Ewing. Oh, the Kamakazis. I remember Luke van Kooten in my high school them. Kazi's was the biggest guy on the team. He was pretty talented. He was good. He could also chug a twenty six in one go. So yeah, I took a different path in I believe I probably should have focused a little bit more on the B ball in the sports. But that's a great pick, all right. Ewing off the board third pick of the signature sneaker non Jordan Brady.
00:17:21
Speaker 4: With the third pick, I'm going back to two thousand and one, two thousand and two raining MVP of the league Allan ives and the ives and fives. These were the black shoes with the gray stripe.
00:17:32
Speaker 1: I guess you would call it.
00:17:34
Speaker 4: I loved these shoes as well. These were awesome. He obviously didn't wear them in the finals when he crossed up Tiler though. These shoes that came after that. But I picked up a pair of these when I was in New York for the US Open, and I saw them in a foot locker or somewhere, and I just like, I need a pair of these cool.
00:17:52
Speaker 6: Always just walking around shoes.
00:17:56
Speaker 4: But that's what happens because it's not premeditated. But that was when Iverson I think was probably at the height of his like he's the coolest guy, and he wore these awesome shoes.
00:18:07
Speaker 2: And originally so yeah, these were two thousand and two, right.
00:18:10
Speaker 4: One, two thousand and two season, yeah.
00:18:12
Speaker 2: And he was two thousand and.
00:18:14
Speaker 4: Yes, And I remember I originally bought them just as a casual shoe to wear around. But then I started playing in them, and I actually found them to be super comfortable to play and I love playing in them. Wore them out and haven't been able to find a pair since so I'm still looking to try to get get a new pair of those back. Me and Ryan Setton actually used to wear them together and the.
00:18:36
Speaker 1: I just love to watch those two men walking wearing the exact same shoes. Can you imagine?
00:18:41
Speaker 2: Did you have the same colourwad? Did you?
00:18:43
Speaker 3: Yeah?
00:18:43
Speaker 4: They were black and gray. Yeah, because there's been a few other different colourways. But it's funny. I don't know weight red. Yeah, I don't like those at all. I only like the black and gray. So yeah, I love those whoes. And that's cool when you you know, for this this shoe draft. Owning these shoes gives you a little bit more of an attachment to them. I think you can relate to them.
00:19:00
Speaker 3: So yeah, cool.
00:19:04
Speaker 2: Fourth pick.
00:19:08
Speaker 1: I got the fourth pick and I'm happy because this was my number one on my draft board. The Nike Air Penny two.
00:19:15
Speaker 2: Oh yeah it was. It was the phone posits for those.
00:19:18
Speaker 1: For me, very wavy. Got that carbon fiber. You know, I love the carbon fiber. The penny logo, the one cent It's up there with the Jordan logo for the best logos that are out there. They came out in three colorways, originally the black with the white and blue, the white with the blue, and then the almost all white with a little teemy Beenny but a black on it. They were all excellent. I've gotten the the Atlantic blue and the black pair after they have retrod because I was in my Jordan phase back then couldn't support Penny. But now that I'm a grown man, I realized I can like more than one thing. At the same time, they also had some great marketing around them. Back in the day. They had like the blank white page with the shoe on it. You could call like a Nike and leave a message and here a message.
00:19:56
Speaker 4: Uh.
00:19:56
Speaker 1: That was great. Also, these were the little Penny shoes. Yep, Chris Rock, I had a like there's a book, a little Penny book that came out at some point. It's not easy being small or something like that. I can't believe I had that, but uh, this is a great shoe. Like I said, I got two pairs at home, both of them. The bottoms are falling off, but I can't bring myself to throw them away. But maybe when they retro again, toss those one again.
00:20:17
Speaker 2: Anooper, Oh, very nice, very nice, all right. The final pick of the signature sneaker category.
00:20:27
Speaker 3: It's a tough one for me here, okay talking about I know what I'm picking, but there's some There's a couple on my board that I haven't worn, so they're gonna go by the wayside. The monstrous Air on the side of Scottie Pippen's old shoe, the Air Max Up Tempo or the Air More Up Tempo. I should say, I love those shoes. I want to own a pair. I want to own an atl pair. Yeah that they redid those, showed it to Larry Luke. I'm sure he's making those shoes right now. I just wanted to get in on the mentioning a friend gusbody, so Air More Up Tempo, I can't go with that. I like the Air Max Lebron sevens. I really like those. Those are badass. But I'm gonna go with a similar shoe that trade just picked a similar looking shoe. I think the Air Garnett three. They came in a white and blue. They came in a black and blue and I and I owned those and I wore those until they stunk like absolute crap because I love them so much. They were so so nice. They had such a nice feel, and there were a few released a few years into kg's career with Nike, and I love them. I could go either colorway. Yeah, they're really, really, really sexy CAGs.
00:21:41
Speaker 2: Did anybody consider shacks, rebus.
00:21:43
Speaker 1: Bumps, shaknosis? Was that first Giant one.
00:21:51
Speaker 3: Shoes?
00:21:52
Speaker 1: You gotta be three hundred pounds to rock those efficiently. I think.
00:21:55
Speaker 2: All right, so that's the second category. Let's keep it moving here to the third. In the third category, it's the classic kicks.
00:22:02
Speaker 1: JD.
00:22:02
Speaker 2: You have the number one pick.
00:22:06
Speaker 5: I mean, you know what I'm picking. It's the Converse check Taylor All Star high tops, black with white trim, leather, gotta be leather, modified slightly by installing the expand original no Thie lacing system.
00:22:23
Speaker 2: Okay, okay, this is what you're using, what you're wearing right now. JD just pulled off his shoe and held it up.
00:22:30
Speaker 1: Wait, that looks like that looks like normal laces to me. I exactly thought you had on.
00:22:37
Speaker 5: So they're basically slip one.
00:22:40
Speaker 2: You've worn these how long? Oh?
00:22:42
Speaker 5: Two years? These this pair?
00:22:44
Speaker 2: I've never noticed that those weren't real places.
00:22:48
Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, but I also don't think we see each other take each other's shoes off.
00:22:53
Speaker 4: I can't believe you got two years.
00:22:55
Speaker 5: Well, the leather, that's the that's the key, that's the key.
00:22:58
Speaker 2: Were you happy you got the first Yeah?
00:23:00
Speaker 5: Although did anyone have these on there?
00:23:02
Speaker 4: Nahs?
00:23:04
Speaker 1: Well, once I saw that you had the first pick, I was like, what's the point you've been putting Chuck Taylor's found I always make us in NBA two K and every single time you got to pick the shoes, I'm like, I gotta give JD the Chuck taylors. No, I haven't been clicking the option for slip on laces, but I will update that when I get home.
00:23:20
Speaker 2: So you had this version obviously of the trucks for two years, you said? Or how long I've you been wearing Chuck Taylor tailors?
00:23:27
Speaker 5: Yeah? Since I was thirteen? Wow?
00:23:31
Speaker 2: Yeah yeah classic indeed, that's uh, that's a classics.
00:23:35
Speaker 5: That's a classic in my ways. Some might say, oh, yeah, well, hey.
00:23:38
Speaker 2: If it works, it works all right. That was a no brainer. Yeah to all of us here at least second pick of the classic kick category.
00:23:48
Speaker 4: I actually found this tough because there's so many classics that I want. I wanted to get it right. I didn't want to leave one on the table there and someone else is going.
00:23:55
Speaker 2: To steal it.
00:23:56
Speaker 4: But ultimately, ultimately I've decided to go with another pair that I did own back in the eighties, the Converse Weapon. Ah yeah, the Converse Web, and I'm going with the classic black and white ones that Magic War and Larry Bird wore. And there was that great ad with Bernard King and Kevin Mchaleasiah Thomas because the weapon before the Air Jordan were the shoe that you wanted to have, like that was the star shoe until Jordan came along and basically dominated the market. I owned a pair. I definitely owned one pair. I own a pair of Converse cons as well, but I didn't have the black and white Converse Weapon. They were hard to get hold of. But I just think when you look at, you know, stuff from the eighties, when you see Magic and Larry they were also looked awesome on the court and awesome when they did their marketing around it. So great shoe, be great. If they could come back in some way, I'd love to see them again.
00:24:45
Speaker 1: To see somebody just walking. I would love to have the.
00:24:49
Speaker 6: Weapon.
00:24:50
Speaker 2: That's the shoe.
00:24:51
Speaker 6: Let's Lily do what he was born.
00:24:56
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's all right.
00:24:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, I was reading about this because I had that one in the in the mix too, And it's like converse basically is like after the Chuck Taylor's and the Jack Purcell's, it's the weapons of sac as their most important you know, sing theture shoe there?
00:25:08
Speaker 3: All right?
00:25:09
Speaker 2: Good pick? Lee, feel good about that? Yeah?
00:25:11
Speaker 1: I feel good.
00:25:12
Speaker 4: You know, I just wanted to.
00:25:13
Speaker 1: I want a two or three pick?
00:25:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, this category all right, Trey's got the third pick.
00:25:22
Speaker 1: Let me take you back to nineteen eighty two. Lee, every shoe that you had ever worn didn't have air in it until my pick, the Nike Air Force one. Oh, really stomping in them exactly right. This is a shoe based solely on my love for Nellie and the Saint Lunatics. And it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me, It's good enough for Murphy. Lee should be good enough for you as well. But this is a classic. This is what a basketball shoe looks like basically ever since this came out, Big fat fixed sal because they put the air in it. You can go high top with the strap, you can go low top, no strap, you can go all white, you can go black. There's a million different colors. There's so many cut stems. Yeah, the Air Force one. I was hesitant to wear it for a long time because it's a chunky, chunky shoe. It almost looks like a square on your foot. But if anyone knows me, they know my feet are tiny, so.
00:26:13
Speaker 2: I don't stand up.
00:26:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, I needed to counterbalance everything. So yeah, big huge shoe makes my foot look normal size.
00:26:20
Speaker 2: Air It's great.
00:26:22
Speaker 3: Fourth pick, where to go? Where to go? Skeets, I'll give you the Nike blazer.
00:26:32
Speaker 2: Oh my man, I was I was getting ready to make a trade with you. I was gonna try and throw anything out.
00:26:36
Speaker 3: There that's all yours. I never wore them, and I know they're yours. They're you're, So I'm going I kind of want those ugly ass New Balance James Worthy shoes. Oh, I just have an ugly pair of shoes on the shelf. But I'm gonna go with an Adidas shoe because everybody needs an Adidas in the lineup. The old Adidas, the Top ten high, just those those classic everybody everybody has seen them and they're just They're just a three striper and with a nice cushiony ankle, little thing of a jig around your ankle. Yeah, that's it.
00:27:18
Speaker 2: I like considering like multiple brands in your sneaker collection here. Yeah, you're a little variety on a little love to everybody.
00:27:26
Speaker 3: Yeah, I do want to I do. I kind of wanted to go with with the signature shoe. Would have been nice to have the Kobe slash Matt Bonner old Adidas shoe. I do want. I do want that shoe. I used to wear it.
00:27:39
Speaker 2: I love that shoe, like the KB eights or that one.
00:27:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, yeah, they were the KB. It's you know, the name of them is. It's kind of up in the air. The kbate crazy or a little bit different. Yeah, right, the ones that they want that Bonner, Yeah, the ones that Bonner and Kobe wore. They had the lastic on the tongue. But I'll go the idea is top ten.
00:27:59
Speaker 2: There was something you said in there that made me think of this question, what is the ugliest pair of shoes you have in your closet or in your house? Because I'm like something that has said there. But remember when Matty O got the U Mattio at an All Star weekend. I guess we were in Dallas. I think we were in Dallas and he got those shoes that looked like, I don't look like they were almost like made from a horse.
00:28:24
Speaker 6: I don't know what I'm talking about.
00:28:25
Speaker 2: They're like cowboy sort of themed, probably because it was in Dallas, Like does anyone might talk to you right now?
00:28:34
Speaker 3: It was like a simple three stripe with a bit of horse hair on this, yeah, on the heel or something.
00:28:40
Speaker 6: It's weird, weird shoe.
00:28:43
Speaker 1: Was googling Adida's horse hair shoe to see what comes up and haven't spotted.
00:28:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe it wasn't horse hair, That's.
00:28:51
Speaker 2: What it looked like. But they were really ugly. I mean they were like like yeah, patchwork colors that just didn't work together. And I don't think Matt wore them. He probab I gave them to your son's jad to wear.
00:29:02
Speaker 5: Did I don't know if they about that one? No, I don't know.
00:29:05
Speaker 2: Maybe I kept them collectors item. Maybe.
00:29:08
Speaker 1: I also remember Matteo having a pair of giant, bright yellow basketball shoes. Those definitely got past the log. But I remember him playing like out in the market at once like that showed up wear the flashiest shoes to do his post moves, his offensive rebounds. That's funny, dude, does do you have a Do I have an ugly pair of shoes? Now, they're all bangers, for sure, I do. I mean I'm a guy that wears loafers.
00:29:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, you got some pretty crazy shoes.
00:29:36
Speaker 1: What's the ugliest pair? I got a pair of really ugly ewing shoes, not like Adidas ewing shoes, but these are like an Anthony Mason Charlotte hornets. Oh yeah, ewing, and that makes a moss gigantic. Yeah. It's got a lot of straps though, JD. There's many, many straps. All right.
00:29:59
Speaker 2: Well, I have, uh the final pick here in the classic kick category, and a mantask was very kind most of you out there listening. No, I am a huge Nike Blazer guy. Uh so, I am taking the Nike Blazers first release in nineteen seventy three, the iceman George Gervin really making them popular. But I just love the silhouette. It's like a low budget sneaker too, and it's got that iconic silhouette. It's got the you know that at the beginning of the leather upper and the mesh nylon tongue and whatever, the rubber soul. It's just a you know, I'm not playing basketball like I'm George Gervin. I'm rocking these. At the time, they were pretty you know, technology forward, I guess in the seventies.
00:30:41
Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know what I was like. It's like we attached an upper to a lower. That is good technology time.
00:30:48
Speaker 2: It was probably pretty amazing. Nice, But yeah you're not. You're not probably hooping in these now. But they look great, great with jeans.
00:30:55
Speaker 1: You know, great with great with jeans stacking.
00:30:58
Speaker 2: Yes, that's right. I love a Blazers, A million colorways, have had a probably this is by far the shoe I've had.
00:31:04
Speaker 4: The most of what Marty McFly wears in Back to the Future Too well back.
00:31:09
Speaker 2: So you're thinking, Air Maggs.
00:31:11
Speaker 4: What you're thinking, like, no, no, no, no, I think I think you were.
00:31:14
Speaker 2: It must be you're saying one. Maybe maybe it is.
00:31:17
Speaker 4: Maybe it's back to the future. Yeah, it's possible.
00:31:19
Speaker 2: I wish I could tell you what I get. Let's keep it moving to the fourth category, the novelty category. Well, you got the first pack.
00:31:32
Speaker 4: Yeah, so this is again another another pair of shoes that I've owned, have actually got a retro pair a couple of years ago. We're used in the Dunk Contest because they have a novelty to them. Didn't last long. The Reebok pumps yeah, okay, I mean d Brown famously pumping them up in the ninety one Dunk Contest and then going on to win was an incredible moment. I would love to know what sales were after that Dunk Contest because I went out and border pair sky Rocket.
00:31:56
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:31:56
Speaker 4: Yeah, but then they sort of once the once you sort of realized it is really do that pumps and tongue up.
00:32:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like those little inflatable chambers.
00:32:04
Speaker 4: Yeah. It was so cool when you were like before the game, you know, waiting, then all right, game starts up. But then you realize, like, yeah, I don't know if it does anything.
00:32:14
Speaker 2: Nick was wearing those before de Brown in the league a couple of years earlier.
00:32:19
Speaker 4: Yeah, but I think I think, I think a few other guys actually wore them from time to time, but it was was when Dee Brown's had have bent down and did it and one. So yeah, they were great.
00:32:29
Speaker 2: Sho you had them.
00:32:31
Speaker 3: I did have.
00:32:32
Speaker 4: I had I had an old pair, and then when when Trey and I had the dunk contest at the start was a few years ago, I got a retro pair of them as well.
00:32:38
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, to rate that off.
00:32:39
Speaker 4: Yes, I've still got them at home too, but one of the pumps doesn't work. That was the other problem.
00:32:45
Speaker 2: I remember that when we were kids, you would hear the stories of like blue is pump out man, and if you I was popping to home, I was doing something myself.
00:32:56
Speaker 4: And if you had one that was pumped up and one that wasn't pumped up, that was it's awful to walk around in.
00:33:01
Speaker 1: So just keep walking in circles, alight. They came out with like that pump that you just put on your shoe, and it were like, right, pump it for you. That was too much.
00:33:11
Speaker 2: The pumps went into into like the tennis world.
00:33:14
Speaker 1: Too, right, yeah, oh yeah, definitely Agassi he had some pumps, I think, so maybe Chang too, Yeah, maybe, yeah.
00:33:21
Speaker 2: I remember. It's sort of like cool as a sneaker shoe. And so instead of a little basketball pumped, it was like a little like tennis with that little texture of a tennis ball. Yeah yeah, all right, we're gonna started there. In the Novelty Round Lee, second pick goes a.
00:33:33
Speaker 1: Tray, did a couple quick googles. Lee, it appears that Marty McFly wore the Nike Bruin. He got my choice in the novelty shoe the Nike air Mag. Yeah, yeah, from the future. I can't even imagine what shoes will be like in twenty fifty self lacing.
00:33:56
Speaker 4: Uh.
00:33:56
Speaker 1: They look cool. They look so cool that Nike decided we actually have to make these, so they did a few years later, and the releases were incredibly limited, incredibly expensive. You had to get him through eBay and then the money was given to charity. It was a pretty cool project.
00:34:09
Speaker 2: Michael J.
00:34:09
Speaker 1: Fox was found exactly right. Yeah, and they actually worked, And now Nike is making actual self lacing shoes that people are playing basketball games. Pretty amazing. But yeah, the the air Mag will be my novelty shoe power laces, all right.
00:34:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, we strapped some for the first time and it gets the hoverboard. Why don't we have hoverboards yet?
00:34:30
Speaker 3: Yeah?
00:34:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, stop worrying about the shoes. The shoes. We're fine on shoes. Get the hoverboard. That's a great pick. The air Mag's from Back to the Future. Part two.
00:34:39
Speaker 3: Everybody, look, they look cool.
00:34:41
Speaker 2: I mean they go.
00:34:42
Speaker 5: Up real hot.
00:34:43
Speaker 2: They're tall, they're very very tall.
00:34:45
Speaker 1: But I think I've only seen one pair of them in the wild, like somebody walking around. Wow, it looks weird. It doesn't look like.
00:34:54
Speaker 2: You've never seen that, think about it.
00:34:55
Speaker 4: But it's just not that many of them, all right.
00:34:58
Speaker 2: Third pick goes to Tack.
00:35:05
Speaker 3: I got enough basketball shoes. Okay, I'm gonna start a conversation with my shack phone shoe. Why the heck not? Why the heck not. It's a nice conversation piece. It was the two thousand and five All Star Game where he pulled it out and did he was using it, everybody was using it. And it's I mean, it's a novelty shoe because it has to be a size twenty two triple E whatever he was wearing. Yeah, And uh, I feel a connection to it because back at our turner days, I slipped on a couple of Shack shoes that he had he had just tossed aside after his long shift. He would just toss them in the hallway, so I'd go throw them on. And so I feel like I've worn these already. I feel like I've made a call. I feel like I've texted with these boys.
00:35:47
Speaker 2: Could you just step into Shacks with your actual shoes on?
00:35:52
Speaker 3: Probably probably probably these, Yeah yeah, I mean they're double, they're double basically any human size. So yeah. Yeah.
00:35:59
Speaker 1: The picture look crazy when you see like Iverson holding him and did holding him, you can't believe that that's really the size of that shoe. Like this shoe is two times taller than a he played in the same game as Shack.
00:36:12
Speaker 6: Yeah, that's that's a big shoes.
00:36:14
Speaker 2: Pretty surreal. All right, Shacks cell phone shoe off the board. I've got the fourth pick. I've got it down to three possibilities. My first one are these very strange Adidas original Teddy Bear shoes. Jeremy Scott designed them. They're literally shoes with a giant Teddy Bear head where the tongue would be, and little spread out arms sort of coming out the sides, so you're basically wearing just two Teddy Bears.
00:36:49
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:36:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, stuffed animal would be like pretty baller if you showed up hooping in those, just crossing somebody up, but you got these giant Teddy Bears on your feet. I'm not gonna go with those though, I'm gonna I've got it down to two data shoes, Yes, Dada, Dada. It's either the Data Code ms, which were the shoes that had the built in speaker system, the MP three player in the they're so ugly, the rible They're so so ugly from two thousand and seven. Or do I go with the s free Well Spinners? Ah, now, the spring Well Spinners, like you know they're they're the Dada sneakers that just basically have a little spinn and rim on the side of them. Because those were cool on your car for a little while. Yeah, when you had those on your on your car, and then he was like I had a had a he had a car shop. I believe the story goes He's like, oh yeah, let's throw these on a shoe and they're sort of just infamous. Now do I go with the built in speaker system MP three player? No, I'm gonna got go with the spinners, nice spinners. I'm always stopping on the dime. I'm always complaining to you guys. I'm always like losing my toenails, I believe because I'm i'ming my foot too hard on the stop and you know the stop and go a type of play. So I'd like to at least have those spinners flying around. Yeah, every time I'm jamming.
00:38:09
Speaker 1: If you're going to be jamming, you might as well keep spinning. That's a great, great point, all right, so.
00:38:13
Speaker 2: The spree, well, spinners, give me those ugly pieces of crap. Gend you got the last pick in this round.
00:38:22
Speaker 5: Well, I only had one on my list, and then I sort of panicked after Lead made his pick because well I only had one, and I realized I was a last pick. So I just did a quick google. So now I'm a little torn. So I was originally going to go with the Kobe nine Elite victory in green. Yeah, these are Norton like normally Kobe I thought had low cut shoes. But this is a ridiculous top. Like it's hot like it they look like boxersh That's.
00:38:51
Speaker 2: What they look like.
00:38:52
Speaker 5: So I thought those are pretty cool. But then I just found on the internet the under Armor charge b B basketball. I would look good next to Trey with his Back to the Future shoes. They're just as high a fire and there's but here's here's the kicker. There's a little window in the do you see that chick. There's a little window to see your sock, right, like see your ankle. So I think I'm going with these.
00:39:21
Speaker 2: So what are they again?
00:39:22
Speaker 5: Under armored charge b B basketball?
00:39:25
Speaker 2: All right, so a super super high boot looking.
00:39:29
Speaker 5: At shoe, Yeah, yeah, like an American gladiator would wear something like that.
00:39:33
Speaker 1: Exactly right, great choice.
00:39:36
Speaker 6: You've got some crazy shoes going on.
00:39:38
Speaker 1: Once again.
00:39:38
Speaker 2: You always got the best the best squads, JD. You win these every time. All right, But we have one more category to go, and Trey has the first pick in the leisure round.
00:39:53
Speaker 1: Well, so far, I've got three pairs of basketball shoes and a pair of shoes that laces itself that I would never wear outside. So I need something, need something to be able to wear everywhere to a game, to the pool. Maybe with a suit, maybe in the winter, maybe in the summer. Maybe with socks, maybe with no socks, doesn't matter. When you're wearing the Birkenstock.
00:40:13
Speaker 6: Boston, Oh that's right.
00:40:16
Speaker 1: The mule, a man's mule. It's ugly. It's very ugly. Sometimes I look at my feet when I'm wearing my Birkenstock Boston's have like your feet look like two black feets.
00:40:30
Speaker 3: A couple of.
00:40:32
Speaker 1: Very small.
00:40:34
Speaker 6: Looking Oh they're mclaus mclog's dog.
00:40:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, but uh, the orthopedic benefits are just incredible. You feel perfect walking around in a pair of Birkenstocks. They mold to your feet, they got a nice sturdy bottom. Can wear them out to the dog park. Stepped in some poop this week, no problem, Just throw them under the water, rinse them right off. Go with the suede version. You might not want to do the water.
00:40:59
Speaker 3: But I'm wearing Burke and start Birkinstock boots right now, I'm quite supported. That's like a step in poop, right, That's.
00:41:08
Speaker 2: Right, all right, So your funny bean shoes is your number one pick here in the leisure around a right second pick.
00:41:20
Speaker 3: The second pick goes to me. Now I agree with to tray. I need to relax. I need to take off my b ball shoes and put something I'm gonna slide my foot into. Now. I used to own a pair of Nasty, Nasty and one slip ons that were they sold slip ons worthy. Were the craze with with with the upper not just not just slides with the upper way back when, and these these ugly ass and ones that were retailing at like one hundred and fifty one hundred and eighty some stupid price. I waited until they were the last shoes left in my in my store where I used to sell shoes, the last pair and got put back on the clearance aisle for like fifteen bucks. Actually got a pair of your your rebox back there to leave once upon a time for twenty bucks. I got those.
00:42:08
Speaker 6: Babies, and shoes are incredible.
00:42:11
Speaker 1: Yeah, they're like aqua socks.
00:42:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, those are the cheap version. Those are the really cheap version. Yeah. I had a pair of the aqua socks. He couldn't get him wet, though, so it didn't really make much sense. And I used so they were they were a rare, rare shoe. Not a lot of people had those. They didn't sell a lot of those, and I kept them around for a long time. But I think my wife threw them out. She wouldn't do that to me. I probably threw them out because they stuck. So I'm not gonna go with those. I'm gonna go with another slide, a classic slide like the kids wear, but these are called grass slides, grass slides lacross shoes. They are actually made of turf. You put your foot and you're walking on turf. Baby. If they're they're grass, you're wearing you got grass. Literally, these are real. I guess wow. I mean i'd pay two hundred bucks for those, probably maybe three.
00:43:04
Speaker 1: You got a.
00:43:04
Speaker 6: Moment to water them and move them.
00:43:10
Speaker 3: Yeah, they're awesome.
00:43:12
Speaker 1: You do love yard work, so these are the incredible.
00:43:17
Speaker 3: These are awesome ard working. Yeah, they're awesome. You are These are grass shoes walking on grass all the time?
00:43:28
Speaker 4: People, people, people would yeah, exactly, I.
00:43:31
Speaker 3: Know, right, you would take off your shoes to walk on grass. Now you can have shoes without taking them off where you're walking on grass. These are brilliant. Whoever the hell made these? These are awesome.
00:43:41
Speaker 1: I just google them. Not the The Amazon page answers some important questions. Number one synthetic. Number two, no mowing necessary.
00:43:51
Speaker 3: Yeah, these are turf, baby.
00:43:53
Speaker 1: Voted one of the best conversation starters by us.
00:43:58
Speaker 3: What's cool is that they make it look real because they have the edges are sort of yellow grass.
00:44:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they.
00:44:04
Speaker 2: Do look very real. Right, all right, I've got the third pick in the leisure round. Well, yeah, I've got a ton of basketball shoes in my collection so far, you know, even the Blazers or an og basketball shoe. You guys know, I'm a runner. I gotta get a pair of running shoes in here, which is why I'm going with the Nike Vapor Fly four percent fly knits. Had to have them. I do have them. The shoe looks fast, it feels fast. By god, it is fast. It's for real. It's crazy. It's got that full length carbon fiber plate and it legit. When you rock these and run in these, it feels like you're being propelled forward. And you you know, the whole thing, the whole four percent was like, you wear these, you can reduce like your you know, your time in a race by four percent.
00:44:55
Speaker 3: That's why there's that controversy over it whether marathon runner should be using them.
00:44:59
Speaker 2: Right, exactly right, that's exactly right. And now these are these are the ones I like, there's like next level ones where yeah, the technology is getting even crazier tests. But I like true story. I was trying to qualify for Boston for the Boston Marathon. I'd ran a couple of marathons before, you know, I had to get under like three hours and ten minutes. I trained my ass off. There's no doubt I trained train, train, and I was like, you know, these shoes were somewhat new, they were expensive, definitely. At the time, I'm like, I'm giving it a go. I'm going to see if these are the real deal. And I and I had trained in a lot of Nikes and sort of flying it type stuff, so it wasn't that crazy. But I wore them once I bought them. I wore them once on the treadmill for two miles just to make sure like they weren't like super uncomfortable. They felt great. I ran a marathon in them and like shattered my time, shattered.
00:45:44
Speaker 1: It four percent faster.
00:45:46
Speaker 2: I was way more than four percent, and so I qualified for BOSS and I like, these shoes were just incredible. And what blew my mind is like they were basically brand new shows and I didn't have us and I just ran a marathon in them for kind of lab. I didn't have a single like you know, blister or sore or like this toe herd. Nothing there. I mean, I'm not a sponsor right now for the Naked Vapor Black Book. I know I soundly, but I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe how legit they were. So I'm putting them as my leisure shoe, which is funny because they're definitely not a leisure shoe because you can't you actually, you can't really wear these shoes if you're not running, because you're sort of feel like you're walking on your tippy toes. So this is actually a horrible selection. But I needed a running shoe.
00:46:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, this would be a major problem if we were ever If you were wearing them and we were all walking together as a group, you're like the fastest one. We're already So if you have these on, it be a gentle sprint, I think, yeah.
00:46:37
Speaker 2: At least somewhat quick. You and Task would be a way in the back. Yeah, I'd be blocks ahead of you because these are super quick. All right, JD, you got the fourth pick?
00:46:50
Speaker 5: Well, I mean I've got two on my list. One is the Australian classic Blundstone fifty classic book in rustic brown. But you know what, would it be a squad episode if I didn't go off the rails and try to fly the show into the mountain. I'm going with the Christian Lubatan. So Kate Black leather pump women's size nine. The so Kate pump, named for Kate Moss, made from black patent leather. It has a deep cut upper. The draws out tits decalte lines, revealing the foot with subtlety and raising it up with ease on one hundred and twenty millimeter heel. That's almost five inches and I cannot wait to see my wife in them. They retail for seven hundred dollars. I'm going with those babies.
00:47:47
Speaker 2: Those are I assume the red bottoms. Oh yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know much about high heels. I know the red bottoms are expensive.
00:47:56
Speaker 1: This looks like an exquisite pump.
00:47:58
Speaker 2: Very nice. Yeah, yeah, you gotta wear them, though you have worn high heels for like either costume or drag show. No, no, no, I'm actually shocked by that.
00:48:12
Speaker 5: I've definitely been in drag before. Yeah, I've never worn heels. I've never found ones that fit.
00:48:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the problem, all right.
00:48:21
Speaker 2: Fifth pick, final pick of our sneaker draft.
00:48:29
Speaker 4: I was pretty happy getting fifth pick in this draft. This, yeah, this category, because I didn't think anyone was going to steal my shoe here. I'm just going with a generic flip flop. I would wear flip old I every day, no name, no brand, just flip flop, flip flop.
00:48:49
Speaker 2: I'll take a flip You would buy it a Walmart, Yeah, like hanging between aisles.
00:48:54
Speaker 4: Buy them and wear them, and I'd be comfortable and happy.
00:48:57
Speaker 2: You're Steven Adams.
00:48:59
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, just give me a pair of flip flops every day. I tried playing basketball in them a couple of times. Not not great. You know, it's not great.
00:49:06
Speaker 2: But you know how many flip flaps have you broken?
00:49:09
Speaker 4: A hundreds? Hundreds, you know, But I always I wear them. It's funny. I wear them out as well. Like I mean I wear them down. Yeah, like I mean you never gives you no, I don't. I don't mean I wear them out when I go out. I mean I wear them.
00:49:24
Speaker 2: Oh you wear them down? Yeah, yeah, you're basically working on your on foot.
00:49:28
Speaker 4: But I do wear them to dinner too in summer.
00:49:30
Speaker 2: So see that you think I can tell.
00:49:35
Speaker 4: I mean I try to keep them nice and clean and tidy, the toenails well kept. Think I've got a little bit of hair on my toe shut that's fine, that's fine. But I will say I don't believe I have a stinky, you know, flip flop foot, you.
00:49:52
Speaker 6: Know what I'm saying.
00:49:53
Speaker 4: Sometimes there's been people I've known who you could you can tell they're coming a mile away because you can smell them, you know.
00:50:01
Speaker 2: Yeah, certainly. Yeah, which is weird because you're like, it's a flip flop. You're getting as much error.
00:50:06
Speaker 4: As possible, exactly exactly. Yeah, maybe it's the dry I don't know, but uh yeah, I just I just love a flip flops with shorts with trackie dacks basketball shorts.
00:50:22
Speaker 3: And is it a thong or is it just a slide?
00:50:25
Speaker 4: Yes, I would say I'm definitely a thong man. Yeah, I love.
00:50:29
Speaker 2: Yes, I'm trying to make the change to a slide. Yeah, change once you get like you I've been. I was a thong guy in my whole life, and then to go to the slide, it's it's tough.
00:50:39
Speaker 4: It's different because you're looking for something to sort of grip only.
00:50:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, and I've got super oddly skinny.
00:50:45
Speaker 4: Feyeah and your toenails too.
00:50:47
Speaker 2: Well, I don't have to Yeah, I can't believe you're wearing flip flops to a restaurant, like that's a you're an animal.
00:50:58
Speaker 4: I'm not. I'm not going to like, you know, we're not out to like a five star restaurant in winter, and I'm going, all right, I'm slipping into the flip flops. I'm just saying, if it's like maybe on planned, Hey, you want to go slip in here?
00:51:09
Speaker 2: I want to slip in the flip Yeah, all right, you got your flip flops. You got your flip flops. With the last pick of our sneaker draft, let's let's recap our teams for the listeners out there, because they're going to ultimately decide who has the best squad tasks. Why don't you go? You go first? Here? What's your collection?
00:51:30
Speaker 3: Jordan eleven Air Garnet three. You need his top ten high the shack Phone shoe and the grass Slides lacrosse.
00:51:41
Speaker 2: I love that. My shoe collection Air Jordan ones, the Penny Air Folm posit Ones, Nike Blazers, the Spree Well Spinners shout out the data, and the Nike vapor Fly four percent finess so I can hopefully run quick marathon. GD what's your collection?
00:52:02
Speaker 5: I got the Jordan thirty four's white on University red.
00:52:07
Speaker 2: That means.
00:52:09
Speaker 5: Patrick Ewing's Adda's Attitude from nineteen eighty six. I've got the classic Converse Chuck Taylor leather All Star high tops. I also have the under Armoured Charge BB basketball with the window for the ankle, and the Christian Lubitans Soakate black Patent leather pump.
00:52:34
Speaker 4: Plea, take us through your collection, Jordan two's. I have some five's Converse weapons black and white from the eighties, the Reebok pumps from d Brown's ninety nine Don Contest, and just a pair of flip.
00:52:48
Speaker 2: Oh my god, that is such an Yellows collection.
00:52:50
Speaker 1: It's perfect.
00:52:52
Speaker 2: It's so perfect. Trey your shoes.
00:52:55
Speaker 1: I wish I would have taken the generic flip flop, but I did, and I got the Air Jordan three, the Nike Air Petty too, the Nike Air Force one, the Nike Air mag and the Birkenstock Boston aka the Bean Mules.
00:53:07
Speaker 2: He's got those Steam Mules. Guys, who had the best draft? Which guy has the best sneaker squad? Let us know on Twitter hashtag no dunks or tweet at us at no dunks Ink. Skeets took me five clicks, five clicks of the wheel to get the Bluetooth connected.
00:00:31
Speaker 2: I was sitting there like, let's go, let's go. We got a guest in studio. Man, let's go connect.
00:00:36
