Remembering 9/11 (The National Day of Rage Bait)

Never Forget (Unless It’s for Twitter Dun dun)

Dan Griffin and Corey Walsh host a Libservative episode recorded a day late because Corey was sick and co-host Bell is absent on his 9/11 birthday. On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, they argue the day has become “National Day of Rage Bait,” with conservatives attacking AOC and Zohran Mamdani for briefly smiling during a four-hour name reading and liberals mocking Trump for appearing to fall asleep. They discuss generational trauma, desensitization, and why grifting off the dead is worse than jokes, while noting Mamdani faces an unwinnable situation as a Muslim at the memorial. They briefly veer into Middle East sectarian details and conspiratorial suspicion, then shift to an update on the Lindsay Clancy case, saying she can be both a murderer and failed by the mental health system, and suggesting first-degree murder may have been an overcharge under Massachusetts law. They cover a reported copycat case in Illinois involving a different “Corey Walsh,” then close by framing their humor as an Irish wake-style coping mechanism.
