00:00:06
Speaker 2: Visit you're participating the Young Day Dealer.
00:00:09
Speaker 3: Today live from hein Marsh Square.
00:00:11
Speaker 4: It's five double a breakfast David pen Berbey and Will Goodings.
00:00:20
Speaker 3: Light after six. Good morning till you Welcome to Friday. You made it. We got here. What a week it's been, spot like a long one. Big morning ahead, rock to the US A very shortly. Another big day in the bid for freedom from the Menendez brothers, the kids who killed their parents in nineteen eighty nine of parole hearings that are starting when we chatting with Rob Scott, very very shortly. Also huge Knights not for the Port Adelaide Football Club farewelling longest serving coach and Ken Hinckley and in the AFL are at very least and then Travis Bike as well, one of the absolute legends of the club tonight. So I when we took that that very very shortly. The stock market goes from strength to strength yesterday closing at a record Hi. Shane Oliver, the excellent economist we spoke to the other week from the AMP is going to be joining us on the program. To talk about that after seven o'clock. John Ralph, who has led all the news break and coverage with regard to Isaac Rankin, will wrap that for us after seven o'clock today. Mike Steer was at the press conference with the premiere yesterday giving an update on the algal bloom. He's part of the ogle bloom task force for SARDI, so we'll get a sense of where it's at, what the concerns are, the size, what we're learning about, potential mitigation strategies and so forth. Jack Lakosis on the program again on a big night for Port Adelaide, and of course it's a Friday morning feedback Friday and a meet Tray. David Penberthy, good morning.
00:01:41
Speaker 5: To you, Good morning, well, good morning listeners. Absolutely jam packed show. I'm glad the football staff that has consumed everybody for the entire week has now come to some sort of resolution. Sick of talking about it, sick of hearing about it. I don't know you feel will are you over it? Say for it?
00:01:59
Speaker 3: Two days ago. I've been over it for a while, as a number of people have observed, and I got text about it yesterday. It took it was it was a shorter process to elect the new pope.
00:02:10
Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it was.
00:02:11
Speaker 3: They literally got it done quicker than the AFL did the wrecking infest Egauge pope two days.
00:02:16
Speaker 5: Rank and five. Imagine if they the af was electing a new pope. Oh my god, it might actually come to an end. It was like an interest.
00:02:26
Speaker 3: They would they would reach the expiry.
00:02:28
Speaker 5: Even the people of Poland and Mexico will allow two favorite the most Catholic. They are the most Catholic countries in the world, aren't they by the Philippines? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, but yeah.
00:02:39
Speaker 3: Outside, but you're in the top five. Yeah yeah, certainly at the pointy end Catholic countries without a doubt, Yeah, without a doubt.
00:02:47
Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, No, it's a it's a cracking show. And the what was I going to say, I've got a total mental blank. I'll give him the later. I'm a bit thrown. I wake up this morning to find that jk Rowling has tweeted a link to something I've written.
00:03:08
Speaker 3: Is that right your olds piece? Yes?
00:03:10
Speaker 5: Jk Rowling, who has a lazy thirteen point five million followers, has tweeted it's a screenshot with the name on it. And I was getting all these texts in the middle of the night from people going, what have you done. I've just written a story.
00:03:26
Speaker 3: Fourteen point three million followers.
00:03:28
Speaker 5: As it turns out, fourteen point three million followers.
00:03:30
Speaker 3: Here we go, David Penberthy, your column and the odds trans stillbirth remark fuels woke elthrow JK. Says when this madness ends, which it will, one of the ugliest things to look back on will be how women weren't even allowed the dignity of owning their sex specific trauma. The misogyny is simply breathtaking. It's part of her campaign. She's a a feminist, she's a champion for old fashioned feminism, and she's.
00:03:54
Speaker 5: What's known what the trans community called derisively is a terf yes teer f trans exclusionary radical feminist.
00:04:03
Speaker 3: I reckon, if I was.
00:04:04
Speaker 5: A woman, I'd be a turf.
00:04:06
Speaker 3: Well, I don't know.
00:04:07
Speaker 5: I think they can get a bit obsessed with it, but in this case, I think I'm not surprised that JK. Rowling jumped on it because it's pretty bizarre story.
00:04:15
Speaker 3: Well, just to give people of the background, I they hadn't read your piece in the OS, and I think the TIES is going to follow up on it today. There was a committee that sat to talk about stillbirth, and you would have mad, You would have thought an awful experience in a physical sense, born exclusively by women. But at the start represented the Women's and Children's Hospital made an acknowledgment of.
00:04:39
Speaker 5: Trans people, trans women, trans women, a trans woman being a man who has become a woman. Yes, if it was an acknowledgment of trans men, it might have been a bit more sensible, because a trans man is a woman who's become a man. So a woman who's become a man may well have lost a child. Absolutely. Indeed, a woman who's who says they're a man now who identifies as a man could still in a lot of cases.
00:05:04
Speaker 3: Have a child.
00:05:06
Speaker 5: However, However, the other way around, you've got no dog in the fight. And it just looked like the most awkward and absurd PC posturing. And it wasn't just like a person from the Women's and Children's Hospital, the CEO, the CEO of the Women's and Children's Health Network, so the most senior bureaucrat in the child space. I just can't stand the language. It's just so unctuous and unusual. That's what miss Graham said in our discussion today. This is like the caution at the start of the evidence about still birth, miscarriage, and so on. In our discussion today, the terms women and women will be used, and this is in line with the current research and evidence, whatever that means. Current research found out that women and women exist anyway, then this it is intended to include those with diverse sexualities as well, intersects women and transgender women to SAAL seeks to acknowledge inclusivity and individual family and community preference and identity in what we are describing. Now they've defended it by saying, look, you know, we're not suggesting that men can give birth. Were just implyiant. We're just stating that everybody can be affected by this. But you know, stillbirth advocates that I spoke to say why here, why now?
00:06:35
Speaker 3: Not the forum for it? Which is the point that JK. Rowling's making she make come up to in our meat Tray Friday question this morning, not to imagined because our listeners, unless something very peculiarly go happens, are going to get retweeted by her with a just to the fun of her fourteen point three million followers. But because the meat tray today, thanks to the great people at Wins and Meats chagging to them a little bit later, we've got this h four new methane minimized.
00:07:04
Speaker 5: Wago, the methane busting stuff with the yeir the seaweed.
00:07:08
Speaker 3: Seaweed exactly right, reduces methane there in their expulsions by up to ninety percent. Ninety percent. Great pronunciation of the word expulsion. I felt like it eded to be expelled the meets. So it's a wonderful meatroy think about that. That's up for grabs so to a two hundred dollars kitchen warehouse voucher with their big Housewoman coming up this weekend. And we've got a family pastor Drake, so three prizes. So it's well worth getting involved in the meatro this morning. And a lot of families inadvertently will have been thinking in this space already because it's been book week. Nice on social media see friends and family with children of school age. You've spoken about it this week, kids dressed up as all sorts of things characters from books. We thought, despite its somewhat awkward name for the meat tray this morning, we'd ask you if next week you had to turn up to work or a family event inspired by a character in a sort of adult book week, which character would you go as?
00:08:07
Speaker 5: And just to clarify, folks, when we say adult book we mean books for adults, not books that chaps wearing macintoshes and holding brown paper bags obtain from nefarious late night bookstores.
00:08:22
Speaker 3: On the I was gonna leave it over to our listeners. Take it where you like. That's the joy of the meat tray.
00:08:29
Speaker 5: I've always been a big fan of mister Hustler's work.
00:08:32
Speaker 3: Three great prizes meat Tray for windsor meets turn around the Kitchen Warehouse about your show tickets thanks to Drake's as well.
00:08:38
Speaker 5: I'm gonta question character?
00:08:39
Speaker 3: Would you go to an adult book Week dressed up as?
00:08:44
Speaker 5: How do you dress up as ain RAN's the fountain Heads?
00:08:47
Speaker 3: What would the no just Atlas shrug? Just go holding the planet?
00:08:54
Speaker 5: Mine's easy, Anton Shigur from No Country for Old Men?
00:08:58
Speaker 3: Oh good one, wouldn't that be good?
00:09:00
Speaker 5: At the school quadrangule, you turn up with your your air gun, your hair parted in the middle.
00:09:06
Speaker 3: That you could pull that off?
00:09:07
Speaker 5: Yeah, well I've got a similar haircut. Yeah, I can do. I can do the voice. I can do the voice because of the Spanish action. What do you what are you even talking about? Call it? Call it?
00:09:19
Speaker 3: Call it market lives by what are you going to adult book workers?
00:09:23
Speaker 6: First thing off the direct there, mate, David changing medication. Mate, I'm just around the corner from you guys at the moment, up on the tenth floor convolition with a new nique. Oh I know, yeah, stay on before day So I'm getting close to getting out of here.
00:09:42
Speaker 7: Well good, yeah, but that all good.
00:09:44
Speaker 6: Now I've always going to go as.
00:09:45
Speaker 8: A character for next week's work.
00:09:47
Speaker 6: They'd have to be which you from?
00:09:49
Speaker 5: Pupp What med occasion are you on? Marke?
00:09:55
Speaker 6: It's good, it's working.
00:09:57
Speaker 3: You get out soon, mate, Thanks for call. I guess you're in the running to win those three great one of those three great prizes eight double two three double O double O. If you had to dress up as a character inspired or from a book, let us know that definition gets stretched during book week, doesn't it? Characters from books?
00:10:14
Speaker 5: We had a shock, poor old Kate. She made three trips to Albert Park Spotlight, bought every bit of orange fabric and stuff that they had glue stick to you name it. She made the most stunning Lorax costume for Charlie, and Charlie got to school and he freaked out. He started crying, I.
00:10:31
Speaker 9: Don't like this.
00:10:32
Speaker 5: Everyone's looking at me like I'm a weirdo and we're going mate. That's the hard point. I left straight away. Yes, I got there just in time to see my son hiding around the corner refusing to take park.
00:10:43
Speaker 3: I've spent hours doing this, so she in fact made too good at a costume that people were looking at it. Yeah.
00:10:53
Speaker 5: At one point I thought Kate was actually just going to slip into the costume and do the parade herself.
00:10:57
Speaker 3: I didn't go to all this bloody efforts.
00:10:58
Speaker 5: Nothing.
00:10:59
Speaker 3: It's someone's wearing a costume.
00:11:02
Speaker 5: Head. I'm going to be dressed as a lore Ax all week.
00:11:06
Speaker 3: Nine minutes after six, we're going to take a break news headlads at a bike.
00:11:09
Speaker 4: David Penberthy and Will Goodings five double a breakfast.
00:11:13
Speaker 3: Twenty two after six is as good a selection of meat tray Friday prices, I think as we've ever had three huge prices, so there's going to be three big winners. The meat tray from Windsor meets, of course, a cracker, two hundred dollars, kitchen warehouse, a boucher and a family past to the Royal Show, all thanks to Drakes. Just tell us if you were going to a book week let the kids do, and you had to be dressed up as something inspired by a character in.
00:11:35
Speaker 5: A book in your favorite book?
00:11:36
Speaker 3: Who are you going as? Eight double two to three double o double textas on the Police Homecare text lines at before eight zero eight thirteen ninety five.
00:11:43
Speaker 5: Here's an appt and hilarious text for meat Tray Friday for our great mate Rob. I'll dog my daughter and she just came back from a holiday to Japan. While there she had a cautionary experience where she thought, I'll just try one of these argue Kobe steaks. Kobe steaks. Our big fuss was made by the waitress and the chef, and as it turns out, currency conversion is not her strong suit and it was not a forty dollars steak but a four hundred dollars steak. Oh oh dear, I'll tell you what Havan's been that money? I reckon you just be reaching for the saki but asking for the cheapest Shaki.
00:12:17
Speaker 3: I'm meaged the blood draining from your face when you realize that that's a good story.
00:12:20
Speaker 5: Thank you. Rob.
00:12:22
Speaker 3: Thet's say of the US, there's a big story unfolding there. The Menendez brothers who infamously killed their parents in nineteen eighty nine, fronting a parole board seeking freedom. Just what is that going to do? The maths thirty six years into what was a fifty year sentence originally. Rob Scott is covering the story for seven years in the US Morning.
00:12:43
Speaker 7: Rob, Good morning.
00:12:46
Speaker 5: So what's the latest, Rob? Are they going to release them?
00:12:51
Speaker 7: Look, that is what we are waiting to find out. The brothers are going before the parole boards separately, so Eric and Lyles tomorrow, and Eric's hearing has been going for five and a half hours in now, so about double what you'd normally expect from one of these parole hearings. And the overarching question I suppose the parole board is trying to work out today is whether the brothers pose what they call an unreasonable risk of danger to society, and if they deem them that they're not a danger, then they're likely to be recommended for release. But that doesn't mean that they'll go free like today or Lyle tomorrow, because there's a couple of reviews that need to take place first, and those reviews could take anywhere between four to six months. So even if they are granted recommended for release, they still could be kiboshed by the California Gardner, who has the ultimate decision making power here.
00:13:45
Speaker 5: So remind remind me again, Robin Elison, because I reckon they would have forgotten to you. Did these brothers. Did they play guilty or were they found guilty?
00:13:54
Speaker 10: Yeah?
00:13:54
Speaker 7: Look they were. They were sendence to life in prison after pleading guilty to the to the murders of their parents, and then back in May they successfully argued to be re sentenced. So originally life in prison without parole. In May that was changed to fifty years to life with the chance for parole. And after time already served thirty six years, they have qualified for parole and they have applied for that parole And that's the process that we're going through now where the parole board deemed them rehabilitated and ready for release.
00:14:28
Speaker 3: It's a huge story that I think everyone will remember the story back in the late eighties. Is it fast reaching a conclusion, we'll find out Rob. Thank you Rob Scott for seven years in the United States. A couple of long running storylines coming to an end for the Port Adelaide Football Club tonight in a game that in a latter sense won't have much consequence for Port might do for Gold Coast. In fact, it will do for Gold Coast, but it certainly doesn't the history of the Port Adelaide Football Club. Ken Hinckley coaching his final game and club legend Travis Boke playing his final game as well at night where we are thirteen hours away at seven forty tonight at Adelaide Oval, our next guest will be their SAO from the Port Cheers squad. Good morning, good.
00:15:08
Speaker 11: Morning, good morning. It's Friday, which makes even better, it sure does. Yeah, I mean it's so sad and that we're not making I guess making finals and that. But it's also Penny's a legend as well because he was the backbone of a club that nearly folded that with everything that happened, and they've just been two great people. Travis is unbelievable.
00:15:29
Speaker 12: He's been a great player. He's made All Australian a few times as well, and what he does off the field in the private time for charities kids with cancer, totally unbelievable.
00:15:44
Speaker 5: Being a member of the Cheers squad. Do you, I'm guessing you're fully committed. You know, an absolute one eyed port fan. Have you got to meet many of the players over.
00:15:53
Speaker 11: The years, Yes, certainly, certainly have just going just by simply going to training and going man two after match and also even at the airport when we've been traveling into State. They're all great people, no doubt. They all talk highly of Bokey got spp to where he is now just absolutely amazing and as he says, he's a person first and an athlete second, and that's a great mindset to have that we should all have it, that we're people first and whatever we are afterwards.
00:16:32
Speaker 5: Well, it's going to be a nice clear night tonight, no rain at all and they're not too cold, so hopefully hopefully both of them both both ken. But I think, particularly the minds of fans, Travis, I hope they really get a big tend off. It to be a great way to say goodbye to them.
00:16:49
Speaker 3: Good on you, say thank you for that, say I'll be part of the throng of Port Faithful. They're at Adelaide Oval tonight, Sally and Hillcrest. Good morning to you. Who are you going to our adult book dressed up as I'm.
00:17:01
Speaker 13: Going as Steph de Susa, who does a range of cookbooks that they're easy to follow, because at this stage in my life that's what I'm reading.
00:17:11
Speaker 3: We will accept At Sally, You're in the running to win one of those three magnificent prizes for the meat trade. This morning, Tom Ren just wanted to the five double a breakfast studio lots to talk about sports wise ahead of the weekend. Agustina Mitsubishi's overstopped with demos that must be cleared up. Gradesy vehicle today, Nilsworth and Wilson Lake Morning Ready.
00:17:28
Speaker 2: Morning One morning.
00:17:29
Speaker 14: David Galsatte Albert and yesterday I did this story on Chad Corns.
00:17:34
Speaker 2: He spoke brilliantly. I thought he was so magnanimous and not.
00:17:38
Speaker 5: Bitter at all.
00:17:39
Speaker 2: The fact that you know he's admitted.
00:17:40
Speaker 14: It's not his decision, but it's the perfect time to part ways. You can see why it's happening. So he's another one. It's been lost in the wash a little bit with Ken Hinckley and Travis Boke, but it's also his final game. He spent twenty four years at that club as a player and coach, So huge contribution from Chad Corns throughout very much, you know, And remember he arrived at the club with the legacy of his father as an eighteen year old in ninety ninety seven, you know, off the back of him being Glen elg and the Crow's coach and he had the Corn's name. You know, it was a tricky time for him, and he spoke about.
00:18:10
Speaker 3: Just such a true club man. He's just an old fashioned club guy. Like it doesn't surprise me that he could have left in the ugliest situation. It's not going to dint his love of the club one iota.
00:18:19
Speaker 14: Which is great, and that's what makes it so special. He's a portman through and through. So big game tonight for them. Finally we get some resolution boys as to rank it and everything, we can all start to move on, Thank goodness. I'm intrigued now. I think they'll come out pretty angry tomorrow. I think I've got a feeling they'll make a bit of a statement against the Rooster, and I hope they do.
00:18:42
Speaker 5: Still couldn't organize a chick raffle could they.
00:18:44
Speaker 2: It's been a disaster and the fact that you.
00:18:47
Speaker 14: Know, and it's so inconsistent and good on Eddie McGuire, like that's his that's his job as a journalist to break stories. But it was a bad look for you know, when some people within the Alaeo Ball Club hadn't seen what he saw.
00:19:02
Speaker 3: It's amazing.
00:19:02
Speaker 5: It's pretty funny that the thing that the entity that's called the AFL Integrity Unit appears to be the one that's leaking.
00:19:09
Speaker 3: He had the letter that the club received. It is remarkable that it took five days and the AFL arrived at a position that seems to have upset everyone in the community. That was a remarkable feat.
00:19:20
Speaker 14: And this is where they're at, a hide into nothing in a lot of ways, aren't they. Because then you've still got other fans going not harsh enough leniency, Crows fans of course up in arm, saying well, we lose arguably one of our best players the almost certainly the rest of the season, you know, barring it, it's probably a one in ten chance I think of him playing again this year, you know, with the Crows losing and then winning the next two finals all of that, but it.
00:19:42
Speaker 5: Reckonedly added little pupping dead fly in the ointment for the AFL is divulging without any details that someone's mental health state is part of their thinking, refusing to say what it is, inviting all of that speculation and now that gets thrown into that it's a very good point.
00:20:01
Speaker 3: Is that going to be in the matrix?
00:20:02
Speaker 5: Yeah? Well, and the other thing on a scale of one to ten, how how how mentally unwell are you feeling at the time?
00:20:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's a two week mental health issue.
00:20:11
Speaker 5: They just complicate everything.
00:20:13
Speaker 3: Well, no, they got caught. They got caught in a twisted progressive rock paper scissors of does homophobic slur get trumped by mental health issue? The only only the AFL could get bound up in.
00:20:26
Speaker 5: That, but in publicly canvassing that so much as well? Then they invite real questions of privacy, which is well, hang on a minute, why are people on footy show panels now having a conversation about Isaac Wringham's mental states?
00:20:38
Speaker 2: That's right, and this is a problem when the.
00:20:39
Speaker 5: AFL started talking about it, that's right.
00:20:41
Speaker 14: They when they've tried to be all things to all people for too long. They try and live to a standard that's impossible to uphold, and then they're caught in this hopeless situation exactly.
00:20:50
Speaker 5: And don't forget to get on a multi with your mates this weekend when the AFILM is official band partner.
00:20:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean we can go on.
00:20:57
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:20:57
Speaker 14: What the double standards and hypocrisy frustrating. I think it took longer to elect the Pope, so longer to come to this decision to elect.
00:21:05
Speaker 2: The three more days amazing.
00:21:08
Speaker 3: Incidentally, have you got a good multi? Yeah?
00:21:10
Speaker 5: You ready?
00:21:13
Speaker 4: David Penberthy and Will Goodings five double a breakfast.
00:21:17
Speaker 3: Twenty two minutes to seven. Police and weather very surely we're going to get some weather on the way. I'll tell you what. It's going to rain a fair bit next week and most importantly for places that aren't in Adelaide, for the northern part of the state, they should be a bit of rain too. We're going to try and nail that down with a bureau Very shortly. You sent a text that made you chuckle. Have you on the police Homecare text line? Well, it's our good mate.
00:21:37
Speaker 5: Residence stats man Ben Jordan linking book week with Graham Korn's I use the Glenelg book Pride of the Bay, and then I'd get a blonde wig and the number twelve on my back. Fifty years tomorrow that the Bays kicked that record forty nine goals twenty three. Cornsey was on the boundary line in a dressing gown as the siren went with John McFarlane's kick hitting the post. I love the idea of getting dressed up as Cornsey's that Ben Jordan that texts in the running to win the meat tray eight double two to three double o double.
00:22:05
Speaker 3: Who you're getting dressed up as out a character from a book? It could be a biography. The schools don't make a rule about that, do that very lost?
00:22:14
Speaker 5: I mean a lot of kids just going their footy clothes and say that they're speaking McGee.
00:22:19
Speaker 3: I'll tell you what the meat tro this morning thanks to Windsor Metes. We've said that so many times over the years. Windsor Meats has been such a great contributor to Meat Tray Friday on board from the very very beginning, and now they're innovating because this is remarkable we have on the meat tray this morning. Wagu that it was a breaking at eight that we did a couple of weeks ago. Was it about this this seaweed that they get fed It's been grown in South Australia that reduces a methane by ninety percent, which is obviously hugely consequential for the environment. Sam Bert is the owner of Windsor Meats and join us on five double a breakfast. Now, Sam, how did you did you come across this this revolutionary concept?
00:23:02
Speaker 6: Then?
00:23:02
Speaker 3: What made you bring it on board into your butcher shop?
00:23:05
Speaker 8: Wrning guys? Yeah, they the H four Global who grow the seaweed and feed it to the cattle, actually approached us obviously loved what we were doing in the industry and thought that we're sort of, you know, one of the leaders, and what they're doing is certainly changing, changing in the industry for the better.
00:23:27
Speaker 5: Can we clear one thing up, Sam? Is it pronounced wagu or wargu?
00:23:32
Speaker 8: You know whatever floats your boat, David.
00:23:35
Speaker 5: Because well just said wagu. But I'm a wargue guy.
00:23:39
Speaker 8: Yeah, I feel like I'm more on your side of.
00:23:41
Speaker 5: The sense there is Is it a bit of a myth that it's prohibitively expensive? I mean, I know there's some that come from Japan where the cows are getting massages every twenty minutes and eating savuga, caviat or whatever. But there's wargue, and there's warguing, there's wagu. Some of it's not crazily expensive, is that? Is that right?
00:23:59
Speaker 8: That's right? Yeah, a lot of the Australian grown wago is much more attainable to a lot more people. Obviously it is at the topper end of some of the steaks available, but.
00:24:13
Speaker 5: Yeah, but you know, especially Father's Day lunch something like that.
00:24:18
Speaker 8: Absolutely, and that's sort of where it is with this particular product at the moment. A lot of our customers are really excited to try it. They're not probably eating it every day, But the exciting part of what c H four Global is doing is they're now feeding some Angus cattle this same seaweed. So as we move towards that, it'll open it up to a lot more people to be able to to be able to affward and be able to try, and not just us, it'll go out to other butcher shops and stuff like that as well.
00:24:51
Speaker 5: Right, Hey, Sam, thanks for your support for Meat Troy Friday over the years. We know you guys have been involved a lot, and you know you're one of the one of the early adopters of meat Troy. We do it to protect and promote. See how the Australian small businesses like you'll say, go on your mate.
00:25:07
Speaker 8: No, thank you, David will and five double A and you know what you guys do to support not just us but the wider independent butcher community is it is really appreciated.
00:25:18
Speaker 5: I might want to celebrate stirt winning every game of the mine around tomorrow. Hopefully I'll put an Argi's steak on the barbie too. Ah, that's it.
00:25:25
Speaker 8: We get down after the game, we'll have plenty.
00:25:28
Speaker 5: There, Sam from the windsor Mate Scrape.
00:25:33
Speaker 3: Well, let's take a meetro Friday Entry, shall we. Mark in Hove is on the line, Mark, Good morning to you morning.
00:25:38
Speaker 1: How are you going there?
00:25:39
Speaker 5: Good? Thank you? Mark.
00:25:40
Speaker 8: Look, I'd like to.
00:25:42
Speaker 1: Dress up as maybe Dick, because well, I think we need some live animals to walking down Rundle Mill and our beaches at the moment.
00:25:51
Speaker 7: And the other thing.
00:25:52
Speaker 1: About is we've had some footballers. They've been absolute richards recently, so I think we should celebrate those. And the other thing about instead of concentrating on one footballer. That's been an absolute Richard. We should be concentrating on Travis Bowden, Ken Hickley.
00:26:10
Speaker 8: It's a big match today.
00:26:11
Speaker 5: It is good. Maybe you Dick end up with a harpoon in his backside that captain ahab Captain av gets him.
00:26:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, but he didn't have much gas.
00:26:19
Speaker 5: Well that's true, thank you.
00:26:22
Speaker 3: Topical with the whales being spotted off Westbeach at the mark, Yes, doesn't typically happen Southern rights. We might speak to Mark Steer from SARDI about that after seven o'clock today because there's been much dear, sorry, there's been some conversation about that happening at the same time as we've got this algor bloom going on. Let's change gears. The stock market yesterday hit a record high the ASEX, the ASEX two hundred, surpassing nine thousand points for the first time in history. Doctor Shane Oliver, the AMPS chief economist, joins us on five double a breakfast, Doctor Oliver, good morning too, you're good to chat again. Is this is this a post or speculative interest rate cut fueled investment boom that we're having at the moment or is there something else at play?
00:27:09
Speaker 15: Look, I think that's a big part of it. And yes, good morning, thanks for having me on the program. It reflects a bunch of things. We've been through a bit of a rough patch in Australia lately. We're now seeing interest rate come down. That's fueling expectations that company profits and the economy will start to pick up steam, and of course that's in turn pushing up the shell market. In fact, it's been quite surprising. I didn't think it would get this quickly. It got through the eight thousand level on the ASX two hundred just over a year ago, so to get through the nine thousand level is quite an achievement, particularly given all the uncertainty globally about the tariffs and what Donald Trump's doing. It's a pretty good outcome for investors. I guess we need to bear in mind the shell market doesn't go in a straight line. I think it has run ahead of itself a bit. But by the same token, lower interest rates ahead I think will provide a lot of help, and so they'refore on a six or twelve month it'll probably keep going even though we could have a bit of volatility in the short term.
00:28:10
Speaker 3: There's a bit of a view in the United States that it's the speculation around AI that's doing a lot of the heavy lifting and dragging their market along because all the big tech stocks that they have there that have all gone exceptionally well. Does that have any flow on effect to the Australian share market, Look, it has.
00:28:27
Speaker 15: A minor impact. We're not as heavily exposed to TEX stocks and AI, I guess can't or companies that supply AI, like case in the US, and that's certainly been a factor pushing up the share market. Interestingly, in the last couple of days, a share market's come off a little bit because one of the big suppliers to the AI industry is a company called Ambidia, and it produces chips that are used in or competter chips that are used in AI. And of course it's come under a bit of pressure, as it does every so often. But by the same token, I think also what's happening here is often about the benefits of AI in producing or boosting economic growth, and so yes, we're seeing that slight pullback in the US share market, but our market is perhaps more beneficiary of AI ultimately as it adds to productivity and economic growth. So maybe that's a factor in there as well. But we have a very low tech sector compare to the US, much as we saw in the Tech Wreck. While those years ago we got the benefits of tech, but we don't produce a lot of the stuff, so it doesn't drag our share market down as much whenever there's a problem on that front.
00:29:32
Speaker 3: Great analysis top Dolliver appreciate lovely to chap he was always doctor Joane Oliver are the amp's chief economist.
00:29:38
Speaker 5: Cover more here on the police Homecare text line, Our Good matcas in Brompton, The old Sarkas lovecaz or catch up at the market, good morning all if it was outult book, we got to go addressed as a Dalek? Can I just spend my time pointing at people, just saying ex Damna, ex dam One of my favorite little pocket cartoons, I think it was in the Punch years ago, was a dalek two Daleks standing at the bottom of a flight of stairs and looked at the other one and he goes, oh, there go our plans for world domination. And there's a great one here that comes replete with a photograph from con In McGill. Big if Honey, stop Ali to you con for sending this one in thank you very much. That is in Greek. He said that the Good Book I e. Bible inspired me to dress up as a priest. A guest whispered to the host of the party, did you actually invite a priest? And I'll tell you what you can see why because Con he looks like he's gone full father Marinarchus. There he looks like he should be coming out of the cathedral there on Franklin Street. Good on your con.
00:30:41
Speaker 3: Yeah, keep coming in the meat tray thanks to winsor meet. So we just turned from a moment ago. We've got to turnerd Doll the kitchen warehouse about you add indeed the family past of the show. It is a bumper meat tray this morning. There will be three big winners. Let's check traffic. Enjoy your outdoor area all year round with an opening and closing group design manufactured and installed locally by Louver House, David.
00:31:00
Speaker 4: Penberthy and World Goodings five double a breakfast good of mentors.
00:31:06
Speaker 5: Anything to get you up in about.
00:31:07
Speaker 3: Ten to seven. It's a fifteen degrees outside of the city at the moment, nice and warm, which has been the sort of pattern of weather we've been in, but I reckon it's about the change. Hannah Marsh at the Weather Bureau joins us before we get to the wet week ahead, hand it, what's the weekend look like?
00:31:22
Speaker 16: Yeah, well, as you mentioned, we have got that cloud over the top of the moment, so we did have those minimums staying warm in parts. It was as warm as fourteen point eight degrees at nor Longer, but it did get as cold as nine point nine at Mount Lofty and seven point six at Naureopo overnight, with a minimum of fourteen point seven in the city, and we're currently sitting on fifteen degrees. We are looking at a partly cloudy day. There's just a slight chance of seeing a shower as this front does move through, but we have generally seen falls in that less than point four of a millimeter mark heading for a maximum of eighteen degrees in the city and goln elg today, nineteen for Elizabeth and seventeen for no Longer and Mount Barker. We're looking at a pretty similar conditions tomorrow, partly cloudy with a maximum of seventeen degrees, but we do have a high pressure system that comes in pretty quickly behind this front, which does clear off that cloud and the winds start coming around to the north and we see those temperatures increase. So we're looking at the maximums getting up to twenty one degrees Sunday twenty three. On Monday, then we do have a complex low pressure system that develops in the bit sending a number of fronts over us really from Monday to Thursday, resulting in the return of some wintery conditions with temperatures around that fourteen to seventeen degree mark, and also the return of some shower activity.
00:32:48
Speaker 5: Good stuff, Howna. We need some rome and hopefully we can blast that algae too out of time, do that, Hannah Marsh there from the Weather Bureau.
00:32:56
Speaker 3: We got all the maximum forecast rain amounts for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week. That would be sixty mills of rain. That'll be nice.
00:33:03
Speaker 5: I've seen sections of the media describing this as a quote rain bomb. Isn't it just rain? It's just rain. It's not a bomb. No one's wasn't made by the.
00:33:12
Speaker 3: IRA Somewhere Ameliam Malkay's eyes twitching.
00:33:15
Speaker 5: I saw a Mealia the other day just said high on the Street.
00:33:18
Speaker 3: Don't say rain bomb to it.
00:33:20
Speaker 5: I didn't. I just said, Hi, it's your beltchie.
00:33:22
Speaker 3: Let's sad to save powl seed. You comfortable, Matt Brown's on the line. I wasn't making an actual allegation there, Matt. You can disregard that. There was a little bit of flare on my part. Now a stolen car has been satelled at North Brighton.
00:33:35
Speaker 17: Oh that's right. Do I have to call in the rain bomb squad?
00:33:40
Speaker 5: Yeah, get on standby absolutely.
00:33:43
Speaker 17: But earlier this morning, about three thirty am, police and MFS crews will call to a car park in McLaughlin Avenue after reports that a black folks Wagon station wagon was on fire sorry McLachlin Avenue. MFS crews extinguished the blaze, which caused extensive extensive damage to the vehicle, and revealed the car had been stolen from a Warridale address during the night. Police believe the fire was deliberately lit and ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on one eight hundred, triple three, triple zero.
00:34:10
Speaker 5: But also there's been a breaking ignored where a car's being stolen.
00:34:14
Speaker 17: That's right, David, A little bit earlier, just about three zero five am, police were called to a house in Elizabeth Street after reports that three suspects had broken into the property and stolen the keys to a white two thousand and nine Audi Sq five station wagon with registration plates d D three six two A. The stolen car was last sing heading towards the parade, so anyone who seized the vehicle please call police on one three to one triple four. And that red Joe again was double D three six two A.
00:34:44
Speaker 3: And just finally, Matt, there were some arrests after attempted robberies in the Western suburbs.
00:34:50
Speaker 17: That's right, some pretty good work by lots of patrols and resources throughout say Pol. Yesterday about one four pm, police were called to him a parade at Grange after reports that a man had been threatened by another man armed with the machete who attempted to steal his car. Now, the victim wasn't injured, and the suspect left the scene and got back into a stolen silver Volkswagen Utes driven by a woman. And the ute had been stolen from a Brooklyn Park service station earlier that day, and the extra patrols and poll Air were called to the area to track the vehicle as it sped through the western suburbs. The thirty six year old woman from Henley Beach South was arrested in Arthur Street at Pennington after exiting the vehicle. The male suspect then continued driving the ute, but then stopped and attempted to steal another vehicle from a man in King's Avenue at blair Athol. He again threatened the victim with the machete, but then got back into the silver ute and drove off. The second victim was also not injured, but the ute was then tracked by Pollier to Enfield Avenue in blair Athol, where the driver was arrested by Star Group officers. The thirty two year old man from Kilburn and his female complexe will face numerous charges including illegal use of the motor vehicle, dangerous driving to evade police and attempted to activade a robbery, and both were refused bail. To a here and the put Adelaide Magi Streets called today some good work.
00:36:03
Speaker 3: Asolutely the vision is unbelievable. We had it on seven last night and the Star Group officers. Weirdly, my head went to a strange place seeing that vision. Do you guys have in in house card detailing at Sapowl because those Star Group vehicles always look immaculate, but they're always smashing into stuff.
00:36:18
Speaker 17: Oh don't worry, Dave, that'll bus out.
00:36:25
Speaker 3: Thank you, So you guys to a bat brown from Sappol.
00:36:28
Speaker 5: Speaking of Nord, it is all happening at the parade tomorrow afternoon. Nord v Port fifth place, sixth and they're equal at the moment. So as per the Dog's Frio game, this is the s A, NFL's local equivalent and what a rivalry too, most certainly is good and I think it's about three forty surely in these game and then head along to the parade.
00:36:48
Speaker 3: Surely Nord win that like that Port side there's not a lot of port and that AFL level have lost all there, there's so many injuries. Well everyone who is anyone playing the sample sides now playing the AFL. So surely I'll tell you what, if Nord don't win it, they'll be ruining giving up a four goal lead against Stir and look at you, worse than seeing Nord lose a game by that point. But in Northavor, good morning going to make tre Friday entry for us.
00:37:17
Speaker 18: Oh, good morning, I've got a beauty for you guys. The book's called What the Hell Happened to the Tree? About Menopause and Beyond? And I dress up and I wouldn't have to dress up. It's a very disheveled woman with a lot of wine in one hand, and I won't tell you what's in the other.
00:37:43
Speaker 5: That is such a great entry. E how do you dress? How do you dress up? As a hot flush?
00:37:49
Speaker 3: Ever, we've got three prizes. I reckon you're in a good spot to win one of them right now.
00:37:57
Speaker 5: That was terrific. That was so good.
00:38:00
Speaker 3: Adult book week for five double as weeks thro this morting what would you go as? Let's say what is in the other hand, though let's not speculate. Zach de Silva nine radio's federal political reporter joins us as we tender attention to the goings onto the week in Canberra and Zach, it's been dominated, I guess in one sense by a productivity round table that, as far as I can read, is going to end up recommending doing the three things that Jim Chalmers said he was going to do anyway before it started.
00:38:28
Speaker 5: Is that fair morning.
00:38:30
Speaker 17: Gen.
00:38:30
Speaker 19: Yeah, that's right, and can I just say that was a tough act to follow. That's right. This roundtable, it seems like some of the outcomes were preordained, But equally, I think it is It is easy to look at this clinically, but the massive list of things that Jim Charmers rattled off in his press conference yesterday evening does give some optimism that maybe we might actually get some consensus on big reforms. I think the most contentious thing that came out of that round table was this proposal for an EV road user charge. This is something the government's been looking at for a while. It's been particularly worried by the fact that as more people buy electric vehicles and hybrids, it's getting less tax income from what's called the fuel excise, this tax on petrol and diesel, because evs and hybrids obviously use less or.
00:39:21
Speaker 5: No of that.
00:39:21
Speaker 19: So the government's on one hand, we do want to incentivize people getting evs, but on the other hand, we do want to make sure the tax system is there. We don't want to see one group disproportionately affected, and government's been governments they also want that a tasty taxpayer money. So this ev road user charge. The government hasn't decided on a model, but there was more consensus on that than it expected among the business leaders, union representatives, experts from all walks of life who are at this round table. And it's now going to go away and work on that. So whether that does actually address the question sort of productivity, I mean not really sure. You've got to wait and see on that. But some of the other reforms around getting rid of news and tariffs, winding back some of this excess red tape particularly, and things like construction. I think it seems like like we've been talking about low hanging fruit, stuff that the government can do pretty quickly that will hopefully make a difference here.
00:40:22
Speaker 5: Good stuff, Zach, Thanks for that, Zach the Silver nine Radio Federal politics reporter. I think the two words we've really got to keep an eye on over the coming three years into generational equity. That sounds to me like code for stuff you've worked hard to earn for your retirement or to leave to your kids that has now come to the attention of Treasury. Let's you see how that plays out.
00:40:45
Speaker 4: David Penberthy and Will Gooding's five double a breakfast height.
00:40:50
Speaker 3: After seven and good morning two. If you're joining us for the first time on this Friday morning, the twenty second of August, it's a big one for the port Adelaid Football Club. Farewelling Ken Hickley and legend spoke Tim Jennifers, being of Legends, is going to join us in about fifteen minutes time. We'll talk to him about that. Then after seven thirty the Sporting Jack the Kochis will be on the program, and a little bit later today we of course have feed back Friday. The other thing we're gonna be doing just before nine o'clock is giving away our bumper meat tray prizes prizes times three. What's the matter? I said, plural plural, I said PLA sorry, I thought I stuffed it up. We've got the meat tray thanks to wins meets two underred on a kitchen Warehouse voucher three show tickets thanks to Drakes as well. Inspired by Book Week in schools, all this week we're asking you, as an adult, if you had to go next week to your workplace or wherever you go out and socialized dressed up as a character from a book. Who is it? And my goodness? Have we gotten some wild answers.
00:41:49
Speaker 5: And photographs Rick and or Dinger Beach he went, He actually went to book week. I presume you were with his kids, but he actually got dressed up as Prince Harry. Spare photo. We'll put it up on the live stream. He had He had a giant sort of like a reproduction on looks like canvas or core flute material. He went as Prince Harry of the cover of the book, and he had it strapped on like a sandwich board.
00:42:21
Speaker 3: He does look a bit like Prince Harry.
00:42:23
Speaker 5: I wonder if he got up the similar things to Prince Harry out in the paddocks around Aldinger. Maybe had a bit of a need trembler behind the washpool was a lad Prince Harry got off the duck, isn't It's one of the revelations. I haven't looked into that. Confess anyway, sculped off behind the Oldinger Hotel. Yep, who knows what happened. This is always what happens in Oldinga stays in Aldinger calling.
00:42:48
Speaker 3: It adult book Week was always fraught, wasn't it?
00:42:51
Speaker 5: Well, you know, just asking for trouble.
00:42:53
Speaker 3: Ten after seven, let's talk Algill bloom. We've got doctor Mike Steer, the executive director of SARDI, joining us on five double a breakfast was part of the state government contingent with the Premier yesterday who did the algall bloom update. Doctor Steer, good morning to you're great to chat. Get us a really simple one. First and foremost is the bloom getting bigger or smaller.
00:43:13
Speaker 20: It seems to be. It pulsates, pulsates, It gets bigger and then smaller on the on the basis of the environmental conditions. So when conditions are favorable, you know, when the species likes calm, warm, nutrient rich waters.
00:43:29
Speaker 17: It does well.
00:43:30
Speaker 20: It blooms well. And when we don't have those conditions, it doesn't bloom as well. But what we've got at the moment is it appears to be relatively extensive around gulfs and vincent so we can see it sort of tracking around.
00:43:47
Speaker 8: The smaller of our two gulfs.
00:43:49
Speaker 20: In a clockwose direction. But not all of the not all of the water is impacted by by the half wagle bom. There's sort of patches of it, and there's the the majority of the state is unimpacted.
00:44:02
Speaker 5: Can I ask you a question That sounds easy, but I think is the hardest question in the context of this, and part of it is probably media driven. I would say part of it is driven by the language that politicians were using early on as this story began to evolve. And the worst part of it is my social media and some of the nonsense that gets spread. But doctor Steer, is the algal bloom toxic or not?
00:44:29
Speaker 20: No, it's harmful. It's harmful to fish or top if let me get this clear. It is toxic to fish and harmful to adults to humans. So it has an impact on fish where it affects their gills, So it impacts any gill breathing organism by damaging their gills through a biochemical pathway, and it causes resport respiratory distress in fish. And also as the bloom sort of pulsates, it increases and a dye as it draws all the oxygen out of the water. So it's incredibly harmful for fish, but it's not toxic to humans. It's the as the surf breaks it up and you get all these particles that go up into the air, into the aerosols, and you breed that in it becomes irritant, so you can get sort of short term skin and eye irritations as well as some respiratory symptoms like you know, coughing or shortness of breath. And that's what we heard from. You know, the surfers are out, we're out an insula back and back in March when this happens, you know, complaining of thatdy to your eyes. And the analogy is like, I don't know, we'll walking into a cloud of pepper. You know, pepper's not toxic, but if you breath it in it irritates you.
00:45:56
Speaker 5: It's still around like in the warmer months. And yeah, I mean I mentioned Dinger before. Let's use it as an example. You know, there at the Southern Ramp most summer days, on the weekends and after school, there's three hundred kids all doing nippers. Can that sort of stuff go ahead?
00:46:14
Speaker 7: Oh well?
00:46:15
Speaker 20: The other thing too, is it depends on the susceptibility of people. You know, some people and we'll go surfing and not be impacted, and others will come back and have your gi So it's a real continuum. The advice that's coming out from SA Health, and it's the advice that they always give irrespective of whether it's a half way agile bloom or not. As if you see any faming or dirty water, don't just avoid it. But if you encounter fading your dirty water and you're swimming in it, and when you get out, just have a shower and wash off.
00:46:52
Speaker 3: There's a temptation to link every odd ocean going occurrence at the moment to the bloom. The whales that we've seen posed to West Beach highly unusual. Is are they following food?
00:47:05
Speaker 4: Is?
00:47:05
Speaker 3: Could it be related anyway?
00:47:07
Speaker 6: Oh?
00:47:07
Speaker 20: I know, it actually isn't that unusual. So what happens is part of their natural migratory pathway. So what happens is the whales go down around Antarctica in our summer and they feed on copious amounts of crewel. They absolutely e gorge themselves in crewel. And during their winter they then migrate north to get into our warmer waters, and they don't generally this is where they carve, They don't feed. They come in and they use our shallow, well protected gulfs like a nursery area. So they hang around there for a while, they look after they're young, and then around about October November they'll head back south and start feeding again. Now they're not they don't have gilds. They're breathing air what we do. So you know, they may they may get so level of irritation through those aeros, but this is part of what we would see as their natural natural migratory path.
00:48:13
Speaker 5: Doctor Mike Steere, the executive director of SARDI, Thanks for talking to us there. John Ralph the man we spoke to on Monday, full five days later, Ralphie, good morning mate, Thanks for joining us again. Your colleagues got Gullen made the excellent point this morning in the Herald Sun that it took the Vatican two days to elect the latest pope, took the AFL five to sort this out.
00:48:43
Speaker 10: I'm not really up with the conclave, but it does seem at least though when they spent those two days they got the right pope, didn't they. So yes, we've had a five day delay, and even then the AFL hasn't artist lines with this decision. I think they always think that they released these press releases and then they sort of look through their eyes and think what will the reaction be. They knew it would be contentious to give rank in four weeks for compelling medical evidence, but I didn't think that they would predict that they would be absolutely annihilated. So Jared lightly, the very sensible commentator is called a disappointing moment for a disappointing administration. Tony Shaw the norms with medallist and as a legend here laughable, inconsistent, amateurish, even Jason Dunstall a slave to wokeness. So it's a challenge for the AFL. But I think that's probably know the broad view in Melbourne that yeah, that if you're going to call something compelling medical evidence, you have to explain it. And given the fact that the AFL and Adelaide can't do that, it's made a lot of people very angry, I think, on both sides of the border.
00:49:49
Speaker 5: But it isn't part of the problem, like you're compelled to explain it. You're talking about someone's private medical state. You know, that isn't the issue. That the AFL doesn't have to divulge every single part of it's reasoning, or worse half divulge or or openly hint at it without saying what it was they were talking about. That was the part of it. When that came out, I was like it just invites so many more questions, but it's now taken them into an area where I think players privacy is a valid concern.
00:50:18
Speaker 10: Yeah, that's right, and look at you know, I've had strong conversations with Adelaide in the last twelve hours that they're ropable about the fact that we were hint at it, and I think my expression was that they're not playing the mental health card. This is a valid issue. This is something that's backed up by his own medical records. This is something that's been a pre existing condition. Even then you and I might have some cynicism about how that instructs him being triggered or whatever the expression is or whatever, you know, the way that he came out with his homophobic situation. I think what really hurt the AFL more than anything is that the immediate leaking of that five week penalty that Eddie mcgie talked about on I think it was Tuesday Wednesday night, as soon as people knew what the existing penalty was, that you know, the early determination when the AFL gave him four weeks, there was no coming back. And so I think if they eventually had just said this is a four week ban, it's always been a four week ban after negotiations with Adelaide, they wouldn't have had to explain it, so some of their own leaking really meant that. I think that felt huge pressure to then explain why that was, and then, as you say, when they half explain it, they were cooked.
00:51:24
Speaker 5: I think the mental health part of that. I mean, it's wrong to regard it as some watershed moment because and we discussed it with him on the program because he comes on every week and talking now about David Kosh, But when the Willy Rioli thing happened, I mean, originally zero penalty for threatening to kill someone. But the explanation for that was we're talking here about a unique set of circumstances, and the imputation certainly was we don't want to pile the pressure on Willie because he's struggling enough at the moment. So you had this weird situation when there have no penalty at all until they reviewed it and came up with a week. So it's, you know, the consistency thing seems to be the key here, as a Scott rights and n him this morning like it's a real lucky dip. The way you get punished by the AFL.
00:52:15
Speaker 10: Yeah, And I think that's the huge challenge for all of us in the media now because we are so determined to try and do the right thing, you know, by players and the mental health and you might say played a little violin media, but you know, I look at the situation right now with Bobby Hill, who Bobby's probably got a really complex range of situations. Some are really serious. We're just trying not to go there because we're trying to do the right thing and not be skeptical about mental health. And yet with this one, you know, I think we'll invite that from the public to say, okay, well, every time a player has an issue, whether it's a two week suspension or a you know, just for whacking someone or for you know, something more complex like this, but then players will just cite the mental health issues. Now, I'm not suggesting for a moment that Adelaide did that, as I say, I think he's got preexisting issues. You know that the doctor would not have made that submission if he didn't believe it was entirely relevant.
00:53:05
Speaker 3: But we have said it with drug use issues though, haven't we.
00:53:07
Speaker 10: John, Yeah, We've got yeah, We've got a drug code where players effectively are in a medical model there and it's wrapped up in mental health, it's wrapped up in scally waggery. You know, players take the mickey out of that mental health code. So that's another great example where we're trying to be really serious about it and yet you understand the players just you know that that that the publicers rolls their eyes now, because let's face it, you know, look it up last night, forty two percent of Australians had a mental health episode at some stage in their career. So would you imagine that now forty two percent of cases will involve a submission about that. That's why we're in a you know, it's a sli slippery slope right now. If the AFL had just said this is a four week ban, we've taken into account all range of factors, including his contrition, we move on. Yeah. I think it was a mistake to talk about medical reasons, which we were all quickly going to realize we're mental health related.
00:53:55
Speaker 3: Yeah, Tyler, do you think this episode damaged Andrew Dillon john.
00:54:00
Speaker 10: As Yeah, yeah, I'm just looking at the public reaction to it. I think he's had a really good couple of months he brought in Greek Swan, who of course is a really senior you know, and very serious, very sensible executive. You know, they've made some good changes. They talked about rule changes which I think you're going to advance the game. And I think he's just got some breathing space. But you know, the X is not representative of life. But yeah, you know, the extraordinary, extraordinarily powerful negative reaction to this, I think, yeah, it shows that he's had to take it. He will take another big step back, and you know, it's a long way back for an AFL public who loses face with face with their AFL CEO.
00:54:35
Speaker 5: We reckon Eddie Maguire should do it. I mean, clearly he's got access to all the AFL documents anyway, so why not.
00:54:43
Speaker 10: Well, you know what, as I said, you know, we all had leaks, and of course you know, we broke the story Onday, which is always as a result of that, and we talked a lot about the down Houston situation. I think the other thing too, guys, and not sure how much time you have, but to think that, you know, this was a disgraceful thing to say no one can doone It but the AFLs dirty c is that, Yeah, to think that you know, Collywood players and potentially Houston were sledging him about you know, going off on a stretcher.
00:55:05
Speaker 5: You know.
00:55:05
Speaker 10: My understanding is that Adelaide feels like, you know, that he was sledged at the earlier Showdown game by one of the senior port Adelaide players. So you know, we don't condone that, but we just accept the players can say anything they want unless it's about race or homophobia. But when it tips over the edge, we're appalled by it. So that's the player thing, you know, whether that's you know, Darcy Moore, the a FLP, a CEO or president saying guys, you know, you know these things are going to happen when we're all saying such appalling things to each other about our mothers and our wives and our families. But with this one, oh no, that's off limits.
00:55:37
Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, great analysis as always John Ralph there from the herald Son and Fox footage. It does a beg a broader question. Do we need to go back through the annals of time and have a sort of post Rwanda style reconciliation commission where you know, every side that won a flag on the basis of menace or harassment, and let's broaden it out. Steve Ware has a lot of explaining to do. He's the man who coined the term mental disintegration. And you think about things like was it to everyone? Misattributes this one? I was going to say it was to Ranatunga, but the great cricket sledge? How did you get so effing fat? Every time I blank your wife, she gives me a biscuit. Now there's all sorts of things going on there. There's there's fat shaming, the starters, the portly opened the copin it for being a bit on the chubby side. Then there's disparagement of a person's partner, suggesting infidelity on their part and boasting about the fact that you have done the business with them. So all of these distressing things. We're at a point now where we just start every game by just hugging each other, holding hands. Maybe it'll be like school soccer tournament the other night. And this is true, where the school soccer tournament. Now, to make sure none of the kids get upset, we all stand around in the hold for four hours, not keeping score, and at the end nobody wins.
00:57:06
Speaker 3: I think the AFL needs to move beyond a model that's I hangover from a semi professional era where it imagines, or at least attempts to imagine, there is an appropriate games related penalty for every offense that can be committed in society.
00:57:19
Speaker 5: What does Will Minston get for what he said to Cape to this is it can his son?
00:57:24
Speaker 3: I think it's a hangover life from an amateur era of the league that unfortunately, well, the ugliness of this is off field. If you look on social media at the moment and look, the algorithms are designed to bring all the worst people together with all the most extreme opinions and make you sit through it. Right, that's the nasty side of it. But fan bases have got involved in this. This this should be an exchange that's between the offending party and the league. Fan bases are brought in because fans are robbed of seeing star players on the field. And it goes to something I've been saying for years that and especially in these instances, there is no to ask someone to say racial vilification, how many weeks of footy should that cost you? Is mind bendingly stupid. These things should the reason we want them sanctioned is to stamp out the practice. So find the player, don't punish the fan, don't punish the game, because I guarantee you, if you've got you copan has seventy five thousand dollars fine for saying a naughty word. People had stopped saying it, and it doesn't then engage fan bases in a weird war of ideology that plays out, that distracts from football, and I think weakens the overall product. That needs to change because I think this has hurt the league, this whole saga. You look a line at the moment, it's people aren't talking about Finals forty. They're talking about that. They're digging down into the philosophy of the freedom of speech, like I want to be talking about playing who's playing half back, not a first year university debate about freedom from a fence and the freedom to a fan. I think, like Voltaire, exactly, yeah, yeah, it's and it's it's the root of it.
00:59:05
Speaker 5: I've created a rod for their back, but trying to charge.
00:59:08
Speaker 3: It on their white steed.
00:59:10
Speaker 5: In things that can't ever be consistently compared, and also having a blind spot on others such as drugs and gambling.
00:59:17
Speaker 3: All right, let's check traffic. Enjoy your outdoor area all year around with an opening and closing group design manufactured and installed locally by Luba House, David.
00:59:23
Speaker 4: Penberthie and Will Goodings. Five Double A Breakfast Jack Locosis.
00:59:31
Speaker 3: Great, damn to locosis and he dribbles a groper box bars and Jack.
00:59:36
Speaker 5: That's quite an.
00:59:36
Speaker 4: Introduction on five double A Breakfast.
00:59:41
Speaker 3: Thanks to Army Norman's clear a Center, cooking appiness, washing machines, dishwashers, TVs and more. Nine one nine Marion Road, Mary Jack mccoshs in the five double A Breakfast studio with us if you're watching along on the Facebook or YouTube live stream. But what is a big day for the Port Adelaie Football Club? Jack, Good morning to you, Travis Bot, Keen Hickley. Both fans get a chance to say farewell tonight. What's it been like on the inside of the club.
01:00:04
Speaker 9: Yeah, morning, lads, it's been pretty special week, like lots of celebrations, big big Travis Day. Yesterday had his last kind of training and there was hundreds of hundreds of fans there and did the big video with all the important people in his life, which as you can imagine took a long long time to get through. So the club's been making it very special for both him, Kenny and and Chad Corns as well.
01:00:31
Speaker 5: Was there like some sort of address to the players, like he has he done that part of it yet? Spoken to everyone?
01:00:36
Speaker 9: Yeah, he got up a couple of weeks ago when he retired and did very impressive speech. And now yeah it's everyone else given him, given him pats on the back, and no, it's so he's been a massive person and player for the club. And I've heard that many times that he kind of carried the club through the tough times when he made the decisions to stay and it seemed like that was pretty pivotal back then.
01:01:02
Speaker 5: So it's a Friday night game with the festivity sort of start immediately after the siren tonight, Like is there a plan? Not that I'm asking you where you're going or anything like that, but you know, yeah.
01:01:10
Speaker 21: I think it of a decent weekend.
01:01:13
Speaker 9: Yeah, it's a late start tonight seven forty, so late late start, late finish.
01:01:17
Speaker 5: Yeah.
01:01:18
Speaker 9: No, it's going to be be a good game to win and celebrate for for everyone.
01:01:21
Speaker 5: There's a massive port game tomorrow in the sandfall at the parade mid afternoon three forty.
01:01:27
Speaker 9: I think, yeah, huge, Yeah, obviously massive rivalry there between Port and Norwood and the Magpies boys are on fire. They've were probably no chance to finals a month ago and they've strung it together and then some great form. So yeah, I'm sure that all the Port fans will carry on from Friday night.
01:01:42
Speaker 3: And with Travis Boke, I was thinking about this. You were in sight as a player at the club. Travis Boke leaving obviously a huge figure in the history of the Port Adelaide Football Club. But he then behind him leaves a vacuum, a leadership vacuum of some sort. Who's who becomes the white that sort of wise head in huddles or in games. Not that necessarily Trap was the most vocal, but just just that the person who takes that position as the sort of the calming influence who comes to mind for you the fields that position.
01:02:12
Speaker 9: Yeah, I've noticed that the two that when they speak up everyone really like changed their tune.
01:02:18
Speaker 21: Him and Oli Ones.
01:02:19
Speaker 3: Obviously he's chie's poor only should be playing anyway, Let's not won't get you into that's a stupid suspension of it.
01:02:25
Speaker 21: In that one.
01:02:26
Speaker 9: But yeah, just obviously just for their what they've done in the game, the reputation on the way they talk. They're ones that they're not not in the leadership group at the moment, but they're obviously leaders at the club. I definitely grab your attention, so Olie will continue to do that, but it's going to be a great opportunity for everyone else to step up. And yeah, if we are to keep taking the next step, it's going to involve the whole group.
01:02:48
Speaker 3: Hey, I don't think we've spoken to you since you kicked just about goal of the year at the Yeah, you not straight, I'm talking about that remarkable goal was at the old school board end at Adelaide Oval, where you sold a bit of candy, ran around and snapped it having controlled it right up against the boundary. Have you kicked a better goal than that in your life?
01:03:07
Speaker 9: I've kicked some nice long ones, but yeah, not usually a candy teller or anything like that. So no, I was good to do something this year that I can remember at least, and.
01:03:18
Speaker 5: My first goal of the year too. Yeah.
01:03:19
Speaker 21: Yeah, I've got a couple of things this year.
01:03:21
Speaker 5: But did your wing goal of the round?
01:03:24
Speaker 21: I actually don't think I did.
01:03:25
Speaker 5: I haven't.
01:03:25
Speaker 21: I haven't seen anything it was.
01:03:27
Speaker 5: It was a great It was an amazing goal. Was it?
01:03:30
Speaker 3: How instinctive? Is that instinctual? Is that moment? Or did you were you half thinking as you gathered I'm going to try and sell this to try and give myself a bit more space, or did the opposity to present it based on how over committed the defender was into trying to Pretty.
01:03:46
Speaker 9: Quick, there's not a heap of thought, to be honest, I remember tapping it through my legs and then I went to handball it and then put it. It was basically not want to handball it too, so then I was like, I've got.
01:03:56
Speaker 21: To kick this myself.
01:03:59
Speaker 5: But yeah, I don't know.
01:04:01
Speaker 21: It all happens very quick. There's not too much thinking.
01:04:03
Speaker 3: Yeah it was. It was absolutely spectacular. Hey, obviously Ken still coaches the coach tonight, but Josh Carl takes over. As of I mentioned about ten o'clock tonight, an he pitched for Josh anything you like him to know? And do you want to talk about good heears? You've got the air waves for an opportunity here he can talk about how wonderful he is and you know, just make sure he plays you in the right position next year and so forth.
01:04:25
Speaker 21: A pitch I've had, I've had enough chats for Josh, so you know I.
01:04:29
Speaker 5: Got to do.
01:04:31
Speaker 3: You're looking forward to working with him?
01:04:33
Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, he's I actually haven't spent too much time with him. He's been in the midfield this year, right, But I think everyone's really excited for I'm sure bringing a new coaching There'll be a fair bit of change across the whole club, and not much has going right this year, so I think everyone's excited for what potential changes to come. And yeah, it's going to be an exciting off season pre season period for the club.
01:04:54
Speaker 5: I think, Well, it's felt Jack that this year. You know, you must have walked under a ladder or done something bad in a past life, but it's you're gonna be good. It's going to be good to see the back of it. But nice to have a fresh, blank slate to look forward to in twenty twenty six.
01:05:10
Speaker 21: Yeah, I think it.
01:05:11
Speaker 9: Yeah, personally and for everyone, I think not much has gone right for the whole club this year.
01:05:17
Speaker 5: Yeah.
01:05:17
Speaker 9: Personally, I'll put in a heap of work over the off season to give myself, every chance to hopefully strength and more training games everything together. But yeah, we'll come good, ready to go for twenty six.
01:05:30
Speaker 5: Well, you know that's the thing about port and under Ken. I mean, I know, winning a Grand Finals the ultimate, but the sad reality about AFL, particularly now so many clubs, most teams don't so to be up the top, you know, playing in prelims as they have so many times over the last fifteen nine years with him at the Helm has been a pretty extraordinary achievement. So it'll be a big night tonight and have fun being part of it. And good luck for the game too, I mean hard against the Suns. Yeah, massive form.
01:06:03
Speaker 21: What sort of amount the old club you can I've todd, Lad's a few things.
01:06:12
Speaker 3: Mate, messed up. Have a good off season through your spots this year. We've love getting to know you about an all right, we might take a quick call before we head to the break. Jazzy in the Southeast. Got to meet tre Friday Entry. Jazzy, what are you dressing up as a for Adult Book Week?

01:06:36
Speaker 18: I don't think.
01:06:37
Speaker 3: I don't think I ever will so good way to live, Jazzy, don't mind that at all?
01:06:42
Speaker 5: Keep you Young.
01:06:43
Speaker 3: That runs directly countered the call we got just before seven o'clock where the book character inspiration what's growing older with menopause? What ever?
01:06:52
Speaker 5: That was one of the.
01:06:52

01:07:22
Speaker 4: Penberthy and Will Goodings. Five double a breakfast, ten.
01:07:26
Speaker 3: Minutes to wait. Bump the meat tray this morning thanks to Wins and Meats. Great to have them on board with the Wagoo too. That's ninety percent methane free, flatulent free. That's going to be terrific. And we've also got to turn it on a kitchen warehouse vouch. They've got the big housewarming party coming up this weekend and also the show is just around the corner a family pass all thanks to Drake so we can get your show tickets. Of course this year we're giving away all three prizes to three entrants for Meat Trey Friday this morning, where we're asking you to do a very I've double a breakfast version of book Week if we had it for adults. Which character you're going as eight double two to three double double A jump on the police Home Care text line. Now this is exciting because the first interview was terrific. But Graham good Eggs he's been on the search for seven sensational South Boss. He's over seventy. Today is interview number two. It's going to be with Adel Graham. The first one was terrific and looking forward to this A Dell Graham will be on with Graham Goodgs after nine o'clock this morning, proudly presented by five Double A and EH Want More Retirement, Living in More Homecare service choice from the one provider will get more with eh.
01:08:36
Speaker 5: Well, our resident redhead Sam Dado is so excited about this next segment that you abandoned his post producing Wills old Man's program and crept in saying, why are you're doing so much V eight stuff now when I'm not on breakfast. We've got the CEO of the shell V Power Motorsport Park, Alistair McDonald on the line now because this is exciting. It's only three weeks to go into the air touch five hundred hits the Bend. This race is the one that every motorsport enthusiast knows is regarded as the curtain raiser for Bathist and Alistair. Exciting times out there at the Bend. And thanks for joining us.
01:09:15
Speaker 22: Oh good agents, thanks for having me. Yeah, three weeks ago and our first endure event at the Bend. Really looking forward to it.
01:09:23
Speaker 5: So give us a bit of a sense for the uninitiated. What can we expect on race day?
01:09:28
Speaker 22: Well, on the Sunday we'll have five hundred kilometer race co drivers twenty seven teams, so you get a bit of that thrill of two drivers racing per car and it's one of only two endure events. And look, you know, when the Bend concept was put together by Yaser and Sam, they always thought an endurero would be the cream on the cake. And have that now in two thousand and twenty five is just fantastic. So yeah, Sunday will be a long race. And we've also I got an FIA Global Category in World Speak outcoming, so really fortunate. The whole weekend looks pretty pretty solid.
01:10:07
Speaker 5: See. I actually I reckon a lot of people don't actually get how big a deal this is for interstate and even international participation because it get it gets some pretty big sort of factory backed international teams involved US an alistair.
01:10:24
Speaker 22: Yeah, well, we've got nine global manufacturers coming with world CCR and that's the other side of it. On Friday, we've got a cocktail night with the CEO, the team's senior management, and these are global executives from around the world, so they're coming to the Bend. You know that the Chin family built a world class venue, and you know, we're just kind of going from strength to strength. So I think people still don't quite realize the number of international and the guests we have. Even this weekend, we'll have close to two thousand people on site and probably half of those are from in the state.
01:10:57
Speaker 5: And the other thing too, I reckon and must have been I've never done it, but I reckon this could be a good family weekend, the idea of camping, because like camping is a huge part of it, a bit like Bathist too, to keep that parallel going. But how many people actually camp there?
01:11:11
Speaker 22: Yeah, look, we'll have you know, well over three thousand people camp on site on the weekend, and you know we're only other supercars event that it has camping outside of Bathist and they're at about ten or eleven thousand, I think maybe twelve thousand. So look, we're young, we're kind of still new, and we're building that kind of camping stay on site mentality and tambo. We're happy we're about to get into glamping. So we're happy to put a ten up for you as plamping if you want to come on out.
01:11:40
Speaker 5: That sounds a bit flash, sounds like a great weekend and we'll look all the best with it, Alistair, and we'll stay in touch on it because we know that a lot of our listeners will be getting along. Alison McDonald. They'd see shel VP Motorsport Park ahead of the air touch five hundred, thank you.
01:11:54
Speaker 3: I bet if the v eights people had told the city council that they weren't planning on getting of vans on the park lends for the beates, but they are instead doing glamping, they might have got it across the line. What you really think they will, Well, it's closer. You could see a few of them go glamping. That sounds that sounds marvel.
01:12:13
Speaker 5: They won't even let people park the cars there for the show. Well, I've let's some, not as many as you got to tread lightly on Mother Earth? Yes, have they noticed that grass actually has a habit of growing back? They should see my garden at the moment, the I think filled with grass, like everyone's garden at the moment, to be looked at, not used. David, Yeah, well, yes, I think locally, act globally, or whatever the saying is.
01:12:40
Speaker 3: Mike Naples with regard to Metro Friday, Mike, goodbrding to you. What book character you're going as?
01:12:49
Speaker 8: Oh, well, I've just.
01:12:49
Speaker 4: Got on Amazon and got a really great deal in a red clown leig.
01:12:53
Speaker 1: I'm going at Pauline Hanson.
01:12:55
Speaker 3: Someone someone dressed their shild up as Pauline hands and Mike it's app And.
01:13:01
Speaker 5: How can't you addressed your child as Pauline Hanson.
01:13:04
Speaker 3: We've been looking at a picture. I've got a picture of it right here, paul. In fact, Pauline posted that she said, I received a very special message from bright young lady named Tilly from w A. It's bookweeking. Kids all over the country are dressing up as their favorite characters, heroes and role models, and Tilly chose me and I'm truly honored. Paul This is paul League's post ten year old Chilly. There you go, Tilly over there in w A.
01:13:28
Speaker 5: She's holding Pauline Hanson's memoir. Please explain. I wonder if she's actually really read it and she liked what she saw. You bring back national service, all that sort of stuff.
01:13:38
Speaker 3: Tilly's concerned kick about immigration. Yeah, that's right.
01:13:44
Speaker 5: He's adorable, little Tilly with her thoughts on welcomes to country, etc. What did charmer fantastic?
01:13:58
Speaker 3: Well there you go.
01:14:00
Speaker 5: I suppose if you're constantly being brainwashed by AUU prop again, you can understand why some of the kids finally snap this.
01:14:07
Speaker 3: Well that's what Vetan probably looks like these days.
01:14:10
Speaker 5: Stalin.
01:14:11
Speaker 3: Once upon a type it was hippies, it was ty Die and you know.
01:14:14
Speaker 5: Well, you know Alex P. Keaton, he's the prototype. Isn't exactly right? You know? If you've got these liberal San Francisco bead wearing hippie parents, eventually, at some point you decide you're going to start playing the stock market wearing argile vests.
01:14:29
Speaker 3: It's coming up to two minutes to eight. Five double A news is coming up, and then we're going to be joined by Crow's boss, Tim Silver's.
01:14:37
Speaker 4: David Penberthy and Will Goodings. Five double A breakfast.
01:14:41
Speaker 3: Seven minutes after breaking eight Shortly. It's going to be slightly later today because Tim Silvers from the adelag Football Club will be joining us imminently. Feedback Friday is not too far away, and I think we might break a record for prize giving in the last half hour of the show today because everyone gets a prize for feedback Friday.
01:14:58
Speaker 5: Of course, it's like Oprah Winfrey's in charge here.
01:15:01
Speaker 3: It's going to be a bit like that. You're in a car, You're nice. If we had a car, we don't.
01:15:05
Speaker 5: We've got other stuff.
01:15:06
Speaker 3: We've got better stuff. Who needs a car. It'll be absolute anyway soon. Road user charge. There's no road user charge on any of the prizes we're giving away today. We've got to meet tray thanks to windsor meets. It doesn't even expel methane, so you know, no carbon tax exactly. Turn around a kitchen warehouse voucher that we've got the Big House Warman coming up this weekend, and we've got a family pass to the show. Thanks to Drake for asking you which character you would dress up as if it was an adult style book week Favorite books, favorite characters from them. It's been a weld wonderful adventure.
01:15:40
Speaker 5: We was going as Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations.
01:15:43
Speaker 3: That I'm going as the Invisible Hand? Where was going as the trickle down Ferry? That was a nice nerdy economics joke to start the l feedback coming up after eight thirty today as well three prizes on off of there.
01:16:00
Speaker 5: Well, after a pretty torturous five days, we finally achieved a resolution in the Isaac Renklin case. The title up. We're joined now by the CEO of the Adelaie Football Club, Tim Silver's Tim, good morning, casting your minds back to Monday, the craze just had the greatest weekend since the twenty seventeen prelim final. It hasn't really felt like it for the last few days.
01:16:23
Speaker 23: They has it, No, it certainly hasn't. It feels like that game where we had a record crowd as well. It feels like a month ago and we haven't been able to enjoy us. But we put ourselves in this spot in some ways. We have one of our players, Isaac Rankin, say something he shouldn't have. What he said was totally unacceptable, doesn't align with our behaviors. And what's spun out after that over the next few days, once it became public, was disappointing, but that that was AFLDUE process, so we had to run through it. I'm glad we came to an out come yesterday. I want to try to rule the line under it and move on.
01:17:02
Speaker 5: Well the risk of trying to rep it up. Can I ask you should there be an integrity inquiry into the conduct of the AFL Integrity Commission. They don't seem very good at maintaining the confidentiality of key documents.
01:17:14
Speaker 23: Yeah, what I will say there, it was like what once it was out in the public ether sort of Sunday night Monday morning. It was always challenging, but it was frustrating to say the least, to have bits and pieces of information and misinformation come out about submissions about proposed bands that it just didn't help in any way. And yes, private and confidential process was made very difficult. So yeah, we're disappointed at how that rolled.
01:17:43
Speaker 3: Tim. I understand at Port Adelaide earlier this year, they settled the players down and spoke to them about things that get set on the field dos and dots, and said, look, we're fast approaching a time where ninety percent of the things you won't be able to say, so let's just get there now and not get ourselves into trouble. When was the last time the Adelaide or playing group was spoken to about standards of conduct and what you can and can't say on the on the field.
01:18:07
Speaker 23: Look, standards of conduct, that's a that's a weekly conversation with our leaders, there's no doubt about it. And we talked about the mandatory education, but we do through the AFLPA. But I'm sitting here talking to you about one of our players made a homophobic comments, so I can't say that we're doing enough, and this this sort of highlights that to me as the leader, we've got to get better, and so does the industry. Why has this come up so many times this year? So look, we do quite a bit of it, but there's obviously not enough. And even though this has been a terrible experience for many people, you know, this awareness will hopefully shine a light that this isn't good enough, This comment's not good enough, and we've got to stamp it out.
01:18:52
Speaker 5: How's the mood inside the club? Tim? Would you say has it rattled the club? Or do you think that the players and Nixy do you think they're able to sort of compart mentalize it and go, look, that's that. But you know, we know what the challenge is in a football sense.
01:19:08
Speaker 23: Well, we had to deal with it straight up Monday morning. Playing group leaders spoke about the issue what do we stand for on the field and our behaviors and post Monday what the players are good at and probably the whole program was that, Okay, that's that's been that's dealt with. The administration is going to look after the process, and they've been pretty good. I think once they're in the four walls that they can focus on the task at hands. My issue, and what I was probably aware of, is just because it so playing out so publicly, does that interfere.
01:19:42
Speaker 8: With their focus.
01:19:43
Speaker 23: But we've got them first thing this morning just to talk about. Like I said, we're not appealing. We've gone through this public process. We need to move on as a footy club. What we've done well this year is sharp and our focus and have what people say is the boring line, this sort of one week at a time. Need to focus on North Melbourne because there's an exciting opportunity in September right in front of us.
01:20:06
Speaker 3: It's been described to this push to stamp out on field slurs by way of these punishing sanctions as very much Andrew Dillon's baby has the implementation of that being ham fisted.
01:20:17
Speaker 23: In your view, he's certainly passionate about it. I'll give him credit.
01:20:22
Speaker 3: To that passion is one thing.
01:20:25
Speaker 5: Yeah.
01:20:26
Speaker 23: Look, I've found it challenging, no doubt, this process, and I haven't been through this thorough before. But the positive is that it was very thorough and extensive. It's hard to get a gauge on what's the right penalty here when we're talking about between three to six weeks over the last eight en months, so that and versus other on field indiscretions. So it's challenging, and I understand challenging for the AFL, But all I asked for is consistency, Jim.
01:20:57
Speaker 5: I'm sure we have people listening to a show who are who are gay, people have got kids who are gay, and this is just a genuinely bloody horrible word that everyone the sooner we expunge it from our vocabularity, our vocabulary, none of us will be in the sort of situation that Isaac Rankin has found himself in with that qualifier, though, and without trying to, you know, hand him the sort of uncritical victim card, can I ask, sincerely, how's he going with all this? Because it's a big thing to be in the thick of.
01:21:34
Speaker 23: Yeah, Look, he's doing it pretty tough. He did put himself in this position, and he's remorseful, regretful. That's a moment of madness for him. But he said it and he has to live with it. He's certainly doing it tough. He hasn't been in a club since since it happened, unfortunately, but we've had the right care and support around him. He's going to get through this. He's going to get through it. He might just go through a bit of a reset over the next week or so. I don't think he'll be in the club. He might just get out of Adelaide for a couple of days and sort of just reset himself and come back in when he's right.
01:22:13
Speaker 3: Tim, you mentioned you want consistency from the AFL. Do you think the choice of AFL Grand Final entertainment this year is consistent with their vision of stamping out least this kind of language.
01:22:24
Speaker 23: Look, I've listened with interest about the opinions on that, and I've read some editorials, but I'm probably not going to go there. My view is all as a foot we're striving to make the Grand Final. I don't care too much for who the entertainment is. I just like to be playing on the day.
01:22:44
Speaker 5: Get back to work. We appreciate you coming on, Tim after a crazy few days, and all the best for the game on the weekend, and let's see it pans out over the over the five weeks remaining. After that, Tim Silver, the CEO of the La Football Club.
01:23:02
Speaker 3: It's fifteen minutes after eight. Plenty of thoughts coming through on the police home care text lines before eight zero eight thirty ninety five. I'm pausing because I'm going to preread them. Do you think there will be an issue of players trying to bait others on the field to draw a slower out of them. I think it's been going on since the dawn of time draw a free kick.
01:23:23
Speaker 5: We had a good channel affair to Jack locacious about it, and among the players now there's a recognition that if you really want to cut loose, there's probably only one really foul word left your disposal, which is actually the worst word of all in the swearing since yes, but it's like the unofficial preferred cuss word of the AOFL. It's going to get a little stamp on it, stamp of approval.
01:23:49
Speaker 3: Wayne says, we're punishing the fans, which goes to my point earlier. We are That's where are fans get punished If the AFL set up a sanction methodology that makes the fans bear the weight of players misdemeanors, and I think it's they've got totally backward. The professional league shouldn't operate this way. But I'm guessing the part of the promise it's not the AFL They're entirely to blame for that. If you wanted to talk about punishing sanctions that are financial, I think the aflpa'd say we'll take two weeks off as opposed to twenty five. Much that part of the problem, Yeah, I think that's a huge part of the issue. Andrew and Craigmore has got to meet Trey Friday entry for us. Andrew, what character you're going for going dressed up as for our book week?
01:24:37
Speaker 24: I'm going as Clark Gable from the movie It's The Bill, Beautifully, I reckon boys on.
01:24:44
Speaker 25: With the wind.
01:24:46
Speaker 3: Nice, Okay, thanks? Your ed is right up at about this morning. There they all are in Craig Moore. It sounds like Daddy and Craigmore good morning, more than Dave Born and will Well.
01:24:57
Speaker 25: I'm going to go as a very very important and literary giant Vdelaide, That is David Pemberthy.
01:25:06
Speaker 5: Oh be quite something, flanning in a band T shirt.
01:25:11
Speaker 17: But you going to go with Elton.
01:25:15
Speaker 5: Only if the Police Commission is there with his tambourine.
01:25:21
Speaker 3: Danny going as you you've written books.
01:25:24
Speaker 5: I guess it works kind of Yeah. Yeah, I accidentally became the official Biger from the Port Adelais Football.
01:25:31
Speaker 3: You're a literary giant Scotty Dodgers and also you're the only person that I've ever spoken to. It's been retweeted by JK Rolling, so jes knows a bit about good writing. Let's take traffics. Enjoy your outdoor area all year out with it. Don't being closy, groof design, matter of factured it instorlled locally by Loupa.
01:25:52
Speaker 4: David Pemberthy and Will Goodings five double a breakfast.
01:25:56
Speaker 3: Twenty one minutes after write bumper edition of the Meat Tray this morning with three massive prizes, three separate winners, Meet tro thanks to Wins and Meets, the two hundred dollars kitchen Warehouse voucher and show tickets thanks to Drakes, Mark and Shadow Park who you are dressing up as from your favorite book.
01:26:13
Speaker 25: So in conjunction with the Isaac rankin case this week, wat Tim didn't just sound the radio there. We've done a deal.
01:26:19
Speaker 7: We're going to get him off.
01:26:21
Speaker 25: I'm going to be dressing up in a crow's top on top of the Priscilla, Queen of the Desert Bus. I'm going to do it for the next four weeks, which will mean August the twenty. If the four weeks is done, I do my book week, we get Isaac off, and I get to go to the Kangaroos game tomorrow with Isaac's seats.
01:26:39
Speaker 3: On the bus. You're offering up your services, mate, Very cool, Okay, I'm sure Edred Dillan will get the tread script.
01:26:49
Speaker 9: Well.
01:26:49
Speaker 5: As all said earlier, we pushed Breaking at eight back a bit, and today we're actually following up an interview that we did a few weeks ago with Michael Schaefer, who's the CEO of this water technology company, SAY twenty fifty, which uses what's known as nanobubble technology to clean up of all things algal blooms. Now, the company has had I understand some meetings with the state government, but so far it's come to nought. Well, they've just done a really interesting clean up job at West Lakes and we've been given some of the before and after photographs that show the difference that this technology makes to the water. And we've got Michael Schaeffer in the studio with us again. Michael, good morning, good morning, and thanks for coming back in.
01:27:33
Speaker 3: Mate.
01:27:33
Speaker 5: Now, one thing that we've heard a lot from the Premiere, from the Environment Minister, from some of the other pollies, from federal pollies as well. Is the bad thing about this algall bloom is that there's nothing that can be done about it. You think there is something that can be done about it.
01:27:52
Speaker 24: I don't think I know, and thanks for the opportunity to chat about it. The results of the test we did down at Westlake was quite extraordinary and we were surprised about the efficacy of it. And one of the things that keeps coming up is it's going to kill everything, and this clearly shows it doesn't. In fact, the bugs in the water actually thrive once you reduce this load down and it becomes more in equilibrium with itself.
01:28:22
Speaker 5: So this trial that you did, how did it come about? Was it something through the council or what was the background to it?
01:28:28
Speaker 24: Well, we actually asked Charles sturd if we could do the trial. They've been fantastic, a terrific council and they are really concerned for their residence and all of the activities that go on in their council, including Henlly Beach and Grange, which some of the residents have said to me they don't even walk on the beach anymore because of the dead fish and all the other things that go on. And West Lakes is the same. Their dogs have to be on leads because they if they get in the water they get crooked. Well, this is just a nonsense.
01:29:02
Speaker 5: So we've seen it work there. We saw at work at that lake in the Eastern States where you did some work as well. What's the concern here? Are they worried that your technology can change what is it bacterial levels or something like that that could kill species? Is that their concern?
01:29:19
Speaker 24: To be honest, David, I have no idea because they every time we put something up to answer their questions, I have another question, and I think it's time that instead of saying you can't, it's how can we help you? How can we deliver this for the state. It's too much of a disaster now. Given the Prome Minister was here yesterday, and think thankfully the King of Island mayor knew something about us. But I can't believe that he didn't have one of his advisers or something at least contact us. We would have been more than happy to make with them appreciate. I'm not going to to meet the Prime minister, but their advisors should have made us. We've had people make comments on radio shows all about it's not Scala, but it's not. None of these people have talked to us. So I just find it quite remarkable you.
01:30:14
Speaker 3: Mentioned your first an. It's one of the things that keeps coming up is you know this concern about killing other marine life. Is that one of the concerns the state government's raised with you.
01:30:22
Speaker 24: They have and it doesn't. I mean, the technology is fantastic. We've got it operating in aquaculture farms because it is so effective that making the fish healthier, the environment healthier, the fish grow better, all of these things. And oxygen is beneficial for all life, particularly fish, shellfish, the sea grasses, the mangroves. It creates a better environment. That is our byproduct is dissolved optgen.
01:30:52
Speaker 3: So what's the status then, of your discussions with the state government. Have they accommodated, is it over or are they still away? Have they given you opportunity to respond?
01:31:01
Speaker 24: To be fair, the Persa people have been fantastic, and I think they're running into roadblocks as well, which is disappointing, given that I feel for them. Their budget probably isn't what it should be either, And they are protecting a three hundred and fifty million dollar or trying to protect a three round and fifty million dollar aquaculture industry in this state. Let alone the value of the recreational fishes, and I think they're being stimied as well. At the end of this end of the day, this is a decision for cabinet and the Premier has been on a couple of radio shows. I think Graham Goodings just after I was on last time, said I, you know, China of a million dollars, if he could fix this problem, he'd spend it straight away. It's not going to cost time a million bucks, I can tell you. But we haven't seen anything to start this process, and I think it's time. The the people in the state are seriously worry. John Schuman was a show over at edith Burg earlier in the week Vietnam Veterans Day there and he came and as you know, John can get a little pit up, but I was just seriously angry at the devastation this has caused over in you has.
01:32:15
Speaker 5: Been smashed by it, and yeah, hopefully, hopefully, well the findings that you've got from this West Lakes test that might get your sort of back on the dance floor. And I know what you said about PERSA, but maybe if the stumbling blocks in the environment department, who knows, but it would look like it's a compelling case for at least having another open minded look at it again. Michael Shaeffer, the CEO of s A twenty fifty, thanks for coming in mate A very much.
01:32:43
Speaker 3: Noway all right, We've got Feedback Friday coming at your way right after the eight thirty news, which means got some open spots to feel Eight double two three double o double oh is the number. Speaker 5: How Good is Fear? And Living in Las Vegas?
01:34:16
Speaker 13: That book the way better than the movie.

Speaker 5: Yeah, the movies. The movies just too bizarre.
01:34:22

01:34:49
Speaker 5: What a week.
01:34:50
Speaker 3: Let's feed back. We've got the wonderful Smeg Kettle giveaway this morning. Love Smig building renovating your first choice. He was in the Smig showing me w if his taste the difference with Smiegers. That got a stack of Wallace cinem apartments. You've always been plenty in the movies I wanted to see recently. Always great to get into the into the flicks with the terrific people at Wallace as well. Let's start with Mary in theebird.
01:35:13
Speaker 13: And morning Mary, Good morning boys, how are we good?
01:35:17
Speaker 5: Thank you? Mary?
01:35:18
Speaker 3: Spent a bad week for Quantas Mary, they will find ninety million dollars for illegally sacking workers. What was the last time you flew Quantas?
01:35:25
Speaker 16: Oh?
01:35:26
Speaker 13: Quite a number of years ago? Yeah, probably about six seven years ago actually, and it wasn't too bad back in the day.
01:35:33
Speaker 3: Where'd you go? Mary?
01:35:35
Speaker 13: Melbourne?
01:35:36
Speaker 3: Nice Mary? Following the Aaron Patterson trial, mushroom sales of dipped have you cooked with mushrooms this week?
01:35:43
Speaker 15: I have?
01:35:44
Speaker 13: Actually?
01:35:44
Speaker 5: Would you make.
01:35:46
Speaker 13: That famous dish that she makes? What's that one there called?
01:35:50
Speaker 3: Hope you didn't follow her recent Yeah?
01:35:52
Speaker 13: Wellington?
01:35:52
Speaker 8: I made?
01:35:53
Speaker 5: Okay? Is your friends just.
01:35:58
Speaker 13: Now put some mushrooms on a pizza.
01:36:01
Speaker 5: Perfect. Italians are good. You're Italian, aren't you? Mary?
01:36:04
Speaker 18: Yes?
01:36:04
Speaker 5: I am a lot of good Italian mushroom recipes.
01:36:07
Speaker 13: There is, there is, Yeah, and you dip them in flour and fry them.
01:36:14
Speaker 16: Then?
01:36:15
Speaker 3: Are you a Port fan?
01:36:16
Speaker 5: Mary?
01:36:17
Speaker 13: No, I'm a Crow's girl.
01:36:19
Speaker 3: Okay. Ken Hickley's coaching his final game tonight. Do you think Port should have got rid of him earlier? Do they did the right thing by sticking with him?
01:36:30
Speaker 13: Should have got him rid of him probably about three years ago?
01:36:38
Speaker 25: Goodbye?
01:36:39
Speaker 13: Good luck on your bike.
01:36:41
Speaker 3: It's not a lot of emotion to touch that decision for you. Mary. The meat tray has some amazing Wago beef that methane reduced because of what they feed the beasts. What's the most expensive piece of meat you've ever eaten? Mary?
01:36:58
Speaker 13: Oh, I'm not really. I love my meat, don't get me wrong, but nothing goes past my loin lamb shops. I'm sorry.
01:37:06
Speaker 5: You came made a good chair, you know what.
01:37:08
Speaker 3: Mary's fair enough? Good on you. Let's go to John in Campbelltown. Morning John, Morning Fellows, John scooters have been in the spotlight. Have you ever ridden an e scooter.
01:37:21
Speaker 8: I have my sons and you don't want to know how bad it went.
01:37:26
Speaker 3: No, no, no, no no, I definitely.
01:37:29
Speaker 26: Do I put it this way. I don't have the balance that I used to when I was a teenager.
01:37:35
Speaker 5: Oh no, did you do yourself a mischief? John?
01:37:38
Speaker 25: Well?
01:37:38
Speaker 26: Yeah, you know the old look here, look left and right and then you know when you look at your right and the vehicle sort of goes to the left.
01:37:45
Speaker 19: Well, that's what happened.
01:37:46
Speaker 3: Oh dear okay said Hey John. Was a nice video that the Crow social media put up earlier this week when Taylor Walker's son Medi's hero Nick daykos When you were growing up as a kid, who was your hero?
01:37:59
Speaker 26: Oh geez?
01:38:00
Speaker 19: Who was my hero?
01:38:01
Speaker 25: Was probably more cricket type because my dad used to really get into his cricket.
01:38:06
Speaker 10: So, you know, back in.
01:38:08
Speaker 17: My day was a good old Dennis Lily the way he used to run in and wipe the ball with the.
01:38:13
Speaker 19: Swear from his forehead.
01:38:15
Speaker 21: D K.
01:38:15
Speaker 5: Lily. Yeah. Yeah.
01:38:17
Speaker 6: Because we had a very.
01:38:18
Speaker 15: Large front yard which order her kids used to gather around time.
01:38:21
Speaker 8: We used to have pretty big.
01:38:23
Speaker 1: Cricket matches with the backs fans four and pick it out.
01:38:27
Speaker 5: Yeah, Yeah, that's good.
01:38:28
Speaker 3: Hey John. After thirty two years Lynn mcgrange, you wrapped up her character Irene on Home and Away this week. Do you have a guilty pleasure TV show that you don't tell your mates about that you watch?
01:38:43
Speaker 11: No, not anymore.
01:38:44
Speaker 26: But back in the day I sort of got stuck in the hook with a bit of Days of our.
01:38:49
Speaker 3: Lives, All right, Days of our lives John, or.
01:38:53
Speaker 8: Days just never told my friends about.
01:38:57
Speaker 3: That's for sure, that's John, that's it ecellent And just lastly, John, it's taken the Prime Minister seven months to visit South Australia to inspect the alcool blo. And what's the latest you've ever turned up to something?
01:39:13
Speaker 10: My latest I've ever turned up to something.
01:39:17
Speaker 8: Maybe four years.
01:39:19
Speaker 19: To do my tack?
01:39:21
Speaker 3: John, Stop talking incriminating yourself. Don't give us your surname. John going all out to win the smeg.
01:39:28
Speaker 5: That is John.
01:39:29
Speaker 3: Doet no fixed address? Just sharing. We cauld ask John anything, get you want to share it in all honesty. What a great feedback. Friday, Let's go to Gay in West Croydon morning Gabe. Hi, guys, I had to hard a day off early this week because I was spent the all night in the emergency at the Women's and Children's Hospital. Have you ever a broken a bone?
01:39:50
Speaker 5: Gay?
01:39:51
Speaker 10: You know what.
01:39:52
Speaker 26: I've only ever broken one bone, and that was when I was about seven and we were going out, I think, were going to church, and I couldn't find one of my shoes and Mum was really cross with me. So I was in the bedroom. I got on my bed and then knelt down to look under my bed, fell and broke my arm, and then we were really.
01:40:16
Speaker 1: Late for church.
01:40:17
Speaker 3: Oh no, hang on, hang on? Did you still go to church with a broken arm?
01:40:21
Speaker 26: Gay?
01:40:23
Speaker 21: I did.
01:40:24
Speaker 26: I didn't go to church that day, just wanted to make sure the police commissioners surprised us.
01:40:30
Speaker 3: Earlier this week, he read out a poem, an ode to the under Drive. Have you ever written a poem?
01:40:35
Speaker 5: Gay?
01:40:36
Speaker 26: I have never written. Well, I probably did in English in maybe primary school, but it certainly wouldn't have been good enough to read out on radio.
01:40:48
Speaker 3: We did a wonderful Job's done that a lot in his career. Apparently what he writes odes to things like a good murder investigation.
01:40:57
Speaker 5: Now Adelaide stroke you down with great vengeance and furious anger. Things like that.
01:41:03
Speaker 3: It was the worst kept secret in South Australian politics. Frank Pangalo is joining the Liberal Party. He denied to us that'd be interested in the leadership role. What would you like to see if the Libs won? What would you like to see Frank in charge of next year?
01:41:20
Speaker 26: Maybe chasing people who don't pay the ato?
01:41:25
Speaker 5: Yeah? Timely? Yeah, like consumer?
01:41:28
Speaker 3: Do you mean like John?
01:41:34
Speaker 5: I think John's hung up. He was calling from a Boner phone. We love John.
01:41:40
Speaker 26: Frank used to do a bit of that with his media role.
01:41:43
Speaker 3: He certainly did. Yeah, he certainly did. In the last one game a big one for Crows fans. I think everyone's had this discussion at some point this week. Can the Crows make the Grand Final without Isaac Rankin.
01:41:55
Speaker 26: I'm a Fort supporter going to the game tonight to see Bogan and Clee last game. But I've been so impressed by the Crows this year. I just think they are the good and I yeah, there's there's a lot more in the team that can you know, get over the lines. It doesn't rely on just one player.
01:42:19
Speaker 3: Good on your gay good answer that no, fire didn't they We've got the smeg to give away, plus the cinema passes to either Mary, a man who may or may not be called John, and Gay.
01:42:32
Speaker 5: Look, I think, just because it's such a special day for port supporters and gays getting along to the game tonight, I think we'll give Gay the smeg toasted and John and Mary can go to the films. John might be wearing a disguise just in case he's been being tailed by at O Goon.
01:42:52
Speaker 3: Are they still playing the Fugitive anywhere? Let's check traffic. Enjoy your outdoor area all year around with an opening and closing roof design manufacturing and instilled by Loubhouse, David.
01:43:01
Speaker 4: Penberthy and Will Goodings. Five double a Breakfast, Tim ginniber On five double a breakfast.
01:43:15
Speaker 3: We just hearned from Gay and feedback Friday. It's a big night tonight for the Port Adelaide Football Club, farewelling a long serving coach in Ken Hinckley and a legend of the of the football club in Travis Boke. So Timmy wanted to set aside some time to talk to you and we're delighted you can come on. Good morning to you. Good morning gentlemen, I hope we're all well.
01:43:36
Speaker 27: Yeah, it's it's going to be a bit of a sad night. Nineteen seasons is quite phenomenon. I mean, there's there's a few guys like, of course, we know that Pendlebury is signed on for another year. And it's been a fantastic achievement to be able to.
01:43:54
Speaker 3: Keep playing and play over.
01:43:55
Speaker 5: Four hundred games.
01:43:56
Speaker 27: You've got to Boomer Harvey who holds the record, and it's quite phenomenal. But for nineteen seasons, Travis has put on the boots and trained every pre season at Port Adelaide.
01:44:06
Speaker 3: It's phenomenal. It's amazing, isn't it. Harrison ram Debuting was born two weeks after Travis Boat was drafted.
01:44:13
Speaker 27: Yeah, it does blow you away. And I heard you with the feedback Friday saying about who was your hero? And I can remember doing my first official preseason and running alongside Russell Ebit and sort of, you know, staring, and he said to me, how are you getting through it? I said, oh, yeah, it's hard, it's tough, and he goes, yeah, this is your first preseason. I said yeah, he said, yeah, this is my eighteenth.
01:44:45
Speaker 5: Speaking about Russell eb it's speaking about yourself. You know, club people, you know one club people, people who stayed there. How important was Travis Boat for Port, particularly when they were doing it so tough.
01:45:00
Speaker 27: It's a pivotal moment, Pember, There's no doubt twenty ten, eleven twelve, and it was sort of spiral and the fact that financially we're in real deep trouble and the crowds weren't turning up to watch the football we were playing, and that moment was so important. And we're trying to get Jackson tren Gave on tonight because there was Jackson tren Gave, Ala, Paddy Carlisle, Travis Boke all out of contract and I'll never forget. And I want to get Jacko on because Jacko was the first to sign, and I want to see if he's going to take any credit for getting Boky to sign as well at virtually the same time. But it just gave I think it gave a breath of fresh air. I don't think we'd even appointed a coach, or we didn't have Cosh come in as chairman. None of that had happened when these guys put pen to paper. So it really was a pivotal moment for Port Adelaide that you know what there's still some hope because if you come in and those three were out, it would have been pretty tough.
01:46:08
Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, he now, Tim, there's not really a greater rivalry. Well, it's certainly one of the greatest rivalries in s ANFL, nor would v Port Adelaide. How massive is the game at the para going to be tomorrow?
01:46:22
Speaker 27: Oh, it's huge, It's and I know Hamish Hartlett coaching, what is it. It's a difficult leveled coach, both the Crows and port at samful level because there's you know, as a coach you want as much control as you could possibly have. You get whatever happens at selection just comes at you, so you get whatever's happening. So I know in recent times, because of the extensive injury list of Port Adelaide that there was one game they got up and I think it was against the Central District Done. They had seven listed AFL players and I think only three of them had actually play at AFL, So you just sort of got yeah, and it was a real credit to the guys that come in as contracted players that they're showing the fight and the spirit to give themselves an opportunity at finals, and of course this week we lose Ollie Wines through suspension, which will pull more players out of that samful side. So I've got to say that the spirit they've shown at that level has been terrific.
01:47:25
Speaker 5: Yeah. Absolutely, So you're going to be calling tonight Tim here. Yes, that's correct, that's.
01:47:31
Speaker 27: Correct, And we're trying to sneak down there a bit early to just give Trave a bit of a rev up.
01:47:38
Speaker 5: Yeah, beautiful. Well, it's going to be a special night in the history at the club. Good on your mate, Thanks Jim.
01:47:43
Speaker 3: It's six minutes to night. We're going to Water to Meetro Friday, when in just a moment, we of course to have Wallace Wallace family passed his way for the weekend. As we look at some of the big things showing in Wallace Cinemas at the moment last week, and the number one opening film was Freaky of Friday. It was the number one new release, the biggest film going around in astral at the moment. Continue used to be Weapons. I'm intrigued just looking at the Mitcham show times for Waller Cinemas on their website Wallace dot com dot are you about the Kango Island film? I want someone to do a review of that for us. I'm not it looks it looks amazing, The imagery looks amazing. It's called Kango Island.
01:48:17
Speaker 5: Is about kang Island.
01:48:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's about Kango Island. She moves to Kango Island in South Australia. Is the story of this person who does I don't know much about it beyond I've seen pictures and they look remarkable. Surprise a good film.
01:48:30
Speaker 5: To a surprise, Anthony Alberanezi lands there for twenty minutes.
01:48:34
Speaker 3: Yeah, and then Michael brief.
01:48:37
Speaker 5: Then there's a brief and featuring Michael Pengelly as himself.
01:48:41
Speaker 3: No, Michael Pengelly's played by al Pacino, apparently terrific. Now he's played by rale By Joe. If you can tell us what movie this famous scene comes from, you have a family pass coming your way.
01:49:00
Speaker 2: You're going to live with me.
01:49:01
Speaker 7: Now, I'm gonna take care of you.
01:49:08
Speaker 2: Because I love you.
01:49:11
Speaker 3: Hallo one of the classic kids movies of the nineteen eighties. Absolute classic. Eight David. You don't know what it is, do you?
01:49:21
Speaker 5: Eight?
01:49:22
Speaker 3: Double two three double o double oh is the number?
01:49:24
Speaker 5: If you can tell us Tropic Thunder.
01:49:26
Speaker 3: If you can tell us a note, so it certainly wasn't what movie that came from. We have a Meet Trey Friday a winner to In fact, we're going to award three winners for Meat Trey Friday this morning. What about that? What about that? You feel a bustering? You got the names?
01:49:42
Speaker 5: I was just hoping we had? Well shall I okay? So one of the prizes again.
01:49:47
Speaker 3: So we've got the meat tray thanks to Windsor meets Yes, and the other two well, they're not in any particular order. The just three wonderful prizes. Well, we're going to give the meat Trader Amber hilarious. Amber's cool.
01:50:01
Speaker 5: If it was book Week, Amber would go dressed as a character from the book Growing Older with Menopause, where she said, you had a bottle of white wine in one hand and some other unidentified substance in the other. Object the mind boggles them. For the other two prizes.
01:50:24
Speaker 3: Turn around the kitchen warehouse voucher and the show tickets thanks to Drakes we are going to give.
01:50:29
Speaker 5: I just liked the photo that he's sent for. I thought it was terrific. Rick from Aldinger actually going to the trouble of attending Book Week dressed as Prince Harry spare so Rick, you are the lucky recipient of the two hundred dollars Kitchen Warehouse voucher, and Jazzy, who lives by the Peter Pan philosophy keeping keeping Young Jazzy can go to the show that works, doesn't it?
01:50:55
Speaker 3: That sounds fantastic? Of course the Kitchen housewarming party is taking place this Saturday at their store, a kitchen Warehouse on Paynham Road. That turned it about is going to go a long way there and Drake's how good a Drakes supporting the Rule Show. You can go to Drakes to buy your tickets to the Royal Show. Congratulations to Eugene in Lynden Park who correctly identified that grad We just played from the Goony and your Gene whole suite of movies to pick from that you can go along to with the family pass this weekend.
01:51:24
Speaker 5: Good luck to Port tonight. It's a hugely important game. And I actually think for all the sort of Argie Barji over the last couple of years about Ken Hinckley, and you know, I'm just chatting to Tim. I know Tim had some views about whether it was time to make a change or not last year. But I actually think that I would guess a lot of port fans think, well, whatever debate has happened over not quite getting there. I think people now will look back and go, you know what, the ride's been a pretty good one with Ken, you know, huge final success that eclipses a lot of other clubs. But more than anything, Travis bokesnight huge for Crows supporters. Geez, I'm glad this week's over. Let's not get back to talking about the footy.
01:52:09
Speaker 3: Well, on that front, tonight has actually ramifications for the Crows because percentage is going to play a big role in working out their Round one opponent and Gold Coasts squealing in the frame. With that extra game again against Deston coming up, it could be Gold Coast returning to Adelaide Oval in a few weeks time. Anyway, we'll find out more tonight. Have a wonderful weekend. Stick around. Graham Goodings is coming up. We'll catch him Monday from six David
01:52:31
Speaker 4: Penberthy and Wild Goodings five Double A Breakfast
Speaker 1: Come on, it's Game one at the Young Day with offers on you and demonstrator models.
00:00:06

01:06:28
Speaker 11: Oh look, boys, I am going to dress up as Peter Pan because I'm fifty seven, but I still have not grown up.
What ever?
01:06:52

Speaker 19: Absolutely absolutely, But I was like one of the literary genius.
01:34:14
Speaker 5: How Good is Fear? And Living in Las Vegas?
01:34:16
Speaker 13: That book the way better than the movie.
01:34:20
