Without further ado, we got college hockey, we got college football, we got the NFL, and we got the NHL. Before we get into today's episode, just want to read the two sponsors. The first sponsor is Gross Hockey, as we know. we just became an ambassador for them. Use code CELLY CELLY10 All caps to save yourself 10% at checkout. And next up, Buttery Roller Co. I love them. They're out of Stewart, Florida. Again, they run the best roller hockey league in Florida. Check them out, butteryrollerco dot com. They got some insane merch, some great stuff. Join the Butterhood today. And I miss them. Without further ado, let's get into college hockey. Why'd you want to play college hockey? Wasn't it obvious? The girls. Guys know where that that clip is from? Drop it down in the comments. If you know hockey, sports, then you easily know where that line came from. All right, first off, Michigan. my buddy and I, Jake, who was on the podcast before when we covered college hockey and the frozen four, we always talked about how Michigan was a team that was always in the frozen four talk, but could never get over that hurdle. Now, little do we know, Michigan comes into Denver. They see the banner being raised. And what do the Wolverines do? They win the first game by a score of 4-1. And then they win four three on Saturday. If I'm being honest, should have been a 4-2 game. the goalie for Michigan, his mask was off. They still deemed it a good goal. Don't really know what to tell you there. So shout out to Michigan for sweeping. This might be the Michigan team to get it done. I'm just saying, they have so much firepower. It could freaking it's just insane. I don't even know what else to say. The amount of NHL prospects they have and future NHL prospects they will have on that team is just absurd. Next up, Minnesota versus Minnesota Duluth. Minnesota is still winless for a team that had so much expectations, brand new coach. Bunch of guys in the portal. They're 0-3-1. Make that make sense. Western Michigan sweeps Notre Dame. Shout out Western Michigan. They go to 4-0 to start the year. Next up, North Dakota as well. Back-to-back 5-0 games. Back-to-back shoutouts for the goalies. They also go to 4-0. ASU versus Lumas. UMass Laurel. ASU wins the first game 5-4. Then game 2, 4-2. So they sweep. Shout out them. Dave Hackstall took over for powers after that piece of shit was put on leave. Next up, Colorado College versus UConn. UConn takes the first game 3-2 in overtime. But Colorado College comes back and wins 4-1. So they split that weekend. BU at Vermont. Vermont wins the first game 2-1. And then BU, they get the job done in overtime. They win 2-1. So they split that. Northeastern at UMass. Again, 4-1 UMass the first night. 4-1 Northeastern. Maybe they said Northwestern. Northeastern also win 4-1. So it's a split. Ohio State at Sacred Heart. They split it. Sacred Heart wins the first game 5-3. Then Ohio State wins a second game 5-1. Split that. And then shout out to Michigan Tech sweeping Alaska. They win the first game 3-0. Then the second game 4-2. Niagara Bowling Green. They sweep the entire series. So shout out to Niagara. Next up, Minnesota State versus Merrimack. Merrimack's a great team in Hockey East. They prove it again. They win the first game 4-3 in overtime. And then 8 2 the second game. They sweep Minnesota State, who was 0 4 0 to start the year. They don't have a win either. Canisius at Clarkson. They split it. Canisius takes the first win in overtime 4 3. Then Clarkson wins 5 0. Like I said, they split the series. Stonehill at Northern Michigan. That series was also split. Northern Michigan wins 5-4. Then Stonehill wins 2-1 in overtime. Lake Superior at Alaska Anchorage. Alaska Anchorage wins the first game 5-2. But then Lake Superior wins 4-2. Series split. New Hampshire at Colgate. New Hampshire sweeps them 5-2. Then 2-0 in both those games. Shout out them. And then LIU at RPI. RPI takes the first game 2-1 and then the second game 3-2. We have the new polls for College Hockey Let's talk about it. Michigan at number one, 6-0 record. Two Michigan State 3-0. At three, we have North Dakota. Four Denver, who's two and two on the year. Western Michigan, who's four-o. Six, Wisconsin, seven, Providence, eight, Quinnipiac, nine, Minnesota Duluth, ten, Dartmouth. Eleven Michigan Tech, 12 Colorado College, 13 Augustania, I'll be butcher that. 14 Cornell, 15, Boston University, 16, University of Connecticut, aka UConn, 17, Northeastern, Boston College at 18, UMass at 19, and lastly, Merrimack. Merrimack and Northeastern become the two ranked teams this year. And then Bowling Green and Minnesota are out. They are out. Now let's get into the normal NHL news. Not a ton to talk about. Just want to go over the scoring in the league. real quick, shout out Dylan Garand He played amazing on Saturday against the Blue Jackets. Unfortunately, same issue. He's plagued the Rangers. They weren't unable to score goals, which has been their biggest issue. They just signed Luke Glendening to a short term PTO. So we'll see how that works out. he's a good he's your fourth line's favorite center. Put it like that. He gets the job done. Yesterday, Sunday, the Wild beat the Blue Jackets. Crow Capri Soft gets his tenth goal of the year. He's leading the NHL in goals. Next up, the Flames beat the Hurricanes 3 2. The Flames have won two games this year. Congrats to them. McDavid stays hot. he's just been on a tear. McDavid had five points for Edmonton's win against Utah. again, guys just He's on pace for 200 points. That's insane to me. The Flyers finally get their first win. They beat the they beat the Ottawa Senators 3-1, ending a franchise record, nine losing games to start off the year. It was also the first time the Flyers were able to score three goals in one game. Shout out them. The Leafs keep sliding. Gavin McKenna was benched the second half of Thursday's game against the Islanders. No one wants to see that. Macklin Cellebrini. Had a goal and two assists on Saturday against Detroit, but unfortunately, they can't win in regulation. They lost that game. this week in the NHL, let's talk about it real quick. Gavin McKenna is set to face off against Celebrini and Connor McDavid this week. they host the Sharks tonight at 7 30. So we shall see. Former first overall pick, Celebrini vs. McKenna. Next up, Senators sign. Travis Green to an extension through the twenty thirty thirty-one season. Congrats to him. And this upcoming Wednesday, Brady Tkachuk makes his return to Ottawa with the Florida Panthers. We shall see what happens. Tonight, because I always gotta do it with my picks. My scoring pick tonight is Nathan McKinnon. McKinnon has six goals and sixteen points. He's tied for third in the league in scoring. He's also coming off a four point night the other night against Pittsburgh. He's also going for his seventh multipoint game of the season. So my goal scorer tonight is Nathan Mackinnon We'll go back to this segment if it hits. And then my hot take of today is that the Sharks finally win a game in regulation. Celebrini outshines. Matthews and Nylander And even crazier, I think Ivar Stenberg has more points tonight than Gavin McKenna. Just saying it. So hot take. Sharks win in regulation. Stenberg and Celebrini come to play tonight. Moving on from the NHL to the NFL. The Jets, Jets themselves, they lose 26 to 19 yesterday in Massachusetts at Foxborough. They fall two to four. That's their overall record. Their next game is this Sunday at home against the Miami Dolphins, who also suck. First quarter, the Jets take the lead. Sanders makes a 42-yard field goal. And then Drake Maye just puts on a clinic. They end up making it 17-3 at the end of the first half. Then Jets quarterback, who is looking so good, throws a pass to Omar Cooper Jr., no one in sight, a 48-yard touchdown. His first. NFL career touchdown. The Jets cut the lead 17 to 10. Then David Bailey, that animal for the Jets, forces a fumble. The Jets recover it at the New England 36. But on three, I'm sorry, but third and five, what do the Jets do? But obviously take a sack. Then they have they're stuck taking the field goal. They make it 17 to 3. And then unfortunately, it's that's all she wrote. Drake Maye found Hunter Henry in the end zone. They made it 23 to 13. Then the Jets got a field goal. And the Patriots ran the clock out for six minutes, in which they made it a 26-16 game. Charles Woods for the Patriots intercepts a pass by Geno Smith. So his streak is over. The Jets won the second half 16-9, but unfortunately that 17-3 you know hurt them. And also going 0 for 2 on fourth down conversions, just such a bad look. My final segment I want to get into is the Florida State Seminals. Taking on the University of Miami Hurricanes. I mean, nothing else to say there. FSU, they came back all night. They played incredible, but unfortunately, that final possession in overtime hurt them. Again, where's the holding? I don't see the freaking holding. Ladies and gentlemen, I've been Sawyer Haber, aka B G. This has been Celly Central. I will see you guys on the other side of the glass. Peace.
