Between Sundays Podcast: Well, week two. At least it's not three months. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Just a week. Season two. Yeah, well that still shows you how not back in the swing of things 'cause I just got the new episode up last night. I kept checking. I didn't won't bother ya. Well, yeah. And then I pulled up YouTube on my theological page. 'Cause I've got like football history and NASCAR page. Yeah. And it all saw was we're back. Yeah. okay. Finally got it. Yeah, I finally got it all edited, which we don't really edit. We just cut out all the whispers. Yeah. Well, and I love how I'm always like, You want me to do it? And I'll do it if you want me to. Yeah. I'll just do it. That's fine. Yeah. But anyways, we're back. Back again. Week two of season two. so yeah. The number of the witness. Mm-hmm. Thank you, E. W. Bollinger. Yes. You know, thinking back, we were talking about last week how wouldn't even want to listen to old episodes. Yeah. And I know when James was on, he was like, I read a lot of Lehman Strauss and Red E. W. Bolger and we both were sitting there like don't and now I own a bunch of books by both those people Do you know who he's talking about? Who is he talking about? I don't know, but we're listening to R C sproll right now. Yeah. It's like, man, I heard a great John MacArthur sermon the other day. He's like, He's like a good good boys. go and sin no more. Yeah. No, but talking about that and just something we've talked about quite a bit before before we get into the topic for this episode. Ecumenicism. Okay. And I don't know if you saw this the other day, but we were just having a discussion off air. That sounded official, didn't it? Before we hit the red button about a prominent neo evangelical border I wouldn't say borderline charismatic, just using a lot of heavily charismatic music, but somebody like Joby Martin. Mm-hmm. Who's another name in the modern evangelical, like popularity celebrity pastor role right now? there's a bunch of Well just start listing So there's a bunch of them, huh? Might as well say like you want to go down that. I mean, just the Stephen Verdick, you've got sometimes Philip Anthony Mitchell. Yeah, yeah. does not rightly divide and teaches a lot of false things, especially going through the book of Matthew that he was in. Yes, yes. You're you're getting there. Get going. Who are you thinking about? Josh Howarton. Did you see what came out the other day? his take on Forrest Frank? No, I didn't see that one. So you enlighten me on that, then I'll give you my enlightenment piece. He posted a video and he talked about how he took his I guess his girls or whatever or somet anyways, he was at a recent Forrest Frank concert and he had a he was showing like a picture or video of the stage and it's the honestly, dude. It's the most Like, I thought Gotta be careful what I say. No, I'm not gonna be careful. I thought Brandon Lake's stage setup was like ridiculous because it was like a stage in the shape of a cross and all that. Yeah. Okay. Forrest Frank has dude, this thing's gotta be fifty feet tall. It's like a white big cross that hangs above his head. Like that hangs above the stage, like from the the ceiling. And Josh Howarton, what he did was he He put a video up and it of course popped up and it said the problem with Forrest Frank and I was like, What is this? And so he got me. Uh-huh. And so I clicked on it. And basically, long story short was he said the problem with Forrest Frank is basically he's he's too good. He's on fire. He's he he is a problem for the devil. That's the problem with Forrest Frank. And he went on and on and on and talked about how it's not a concert, it's a worship service, and there was baptisms I think during it. Did he buy tickets? Probably not. I'm sure you got to go for free. I'm not talking well, okay. Maybe him. But if you and I wanted to go, would we have to buy tickets? I'm sure. When's last time you bought a ticket to a worship service? Never. When's last time has there been revenue? No. I mean 'cause this is the same guy And don't give me the the Todds. Like same thing. No, this is also the same guy that I probably about not even a year ago was selling his T shirts on his website for what, fifty bucks? Yeah. Yeah, they were like fifty ninety No, no, no. It was like eighty ninety. Yeah. The hoodie. Yes. Is it the Jesus Saves hoodie? Is that what his is? Yeah. Yeah. Something like that. But yeah, he mm, so Josh Howard didn't so Here here's the thing, and it's not to name a name just to run somebody down for the sake of running somebody down. I'm not even trying to run down. I'm talking about this is what I would say right now his trajectory is booming. Booming right now. He 'cause he was he was just on I think Sean Ryan's podcast. Yes. So like but like you take Gen Z, like Bryce Crawford's the guy. You take our age bracket and up to like fifty. Mm-hmm. And it's like everybody that's that's the guy. Yeah. That's the guy. Yeah, he has found his his niche for sure. Well, he just and this is what I'm talking about with d dangers of ecumenicism and and just what what what verse did we start out with tonight? We were in first Peter chapter five, verse eight. Be sober and be vigilant in what we do. And I talked about it if If we're like you know, if you're under the influence of alcohol and you're not sober, your vision gets distorted, your decision making gets distorted, your you know capacity for rational thought gets distorted. You're not gonna walk correct. Your walk is off. You're not walking straight. He this past week signed a deal to be on the Blaze Network. So is he gonna have his own c yeah. So conservatism, those bounds and like American first mentality causes you to link up and yoke up with a Mormon. Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck. Yeah. Who is L D S. Who, by the way, speaking of Glenn Beck, huh? Don't you like how this g unravels. I saw something the other day on him. He has a massive, massive collection of Nazi memorabilia. is that w from the are you did you look at Joe Shakur's page? Yes. When he was there with 'cause David Barton was there with wall builders doing some of the historical stuff. Yes, yes, yes. Which I mean historical memorabilia like You're a history guy. I am. If I had something like I've known of people that, you know, whether it was legal or not, have like a SS officer's holster and things like that. Okay. Well that's that's one thing, but your entire collection is all that kind of stuff. Which I'm sure that's not his entire collection. Yeah, but you know, I I think there's a difference in you know, respect and appreciation for historical significance of things and it kind of A morbid curiosity. Yeah, and it starting to teeter on the lines of like you know I have money, I can get these things. Not that, but you know, I don't wanna go to a Hitler museum. No. No, I don't I don't want to yeah. I don't want to see Eva Braun's And things like that. Okay, because here here's my whole thing. What is it what what is the purpose of a museum? It is to educate, correct? It's educational. It's reflective. Like if you go to the Smithsonian and like okay. It also can be very emotional and you know can cut deep if you go to the Holocaust Museum. You know, you're like, you see the the room of shoes and things like that. Well I'm saying just in general, why would you why would you get memorable? Yeah, education. And it's also you got those people that are gonna go just for the like I said, morbid curiosity of it. Like I enter the entertainment value. On on Hitler. Do we? Well What have I been talking about for months? What have you what have you seen? So many people I I know but on Instagram of people going So I'm just saying Uncle H was actually right. He was the good guy. No, no, no, no, no. But what I'm saying is I feel like if I'm gonna go to a museum, I'm not going to look at Hitler's teacup. I'm not going to look at Hitler's uniform. Right. So it's going to attract those kind of people. Well, it's like when I went to the NASCAR Hall of Fame, I'm like, There's Davey Allison's car, exact there's girl waltrips driving uniform, there's this, there's that. There's different smoky eunuchs hat, like all these th yeah. Because there's an adoration there exactly when you do it. I get yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm saying there's just it's gonna attract the wrong people and but I do have to maybe I said all that the wrong way. No, but the point that you made, I like that this is just banter. Yeah. the point that you made of like we know enough about Hitler, history see, and history's being rewritten by people are saying that history's already been rewritten and changing narratives, like I d I can't fathom living in a world where a dictator that's okay like people say, Well what in four million is only seven hundred Doesn't matter. It's only seven hundred and fifty thousand. Like so you're s you're you're saying that's your threshold. You're okay with that now. That's where you draw your line? Yeah, that's that's all good. but no, like that that's a danger of ecumenicism because here's a guy that it's like John Madden. that that is so influential in people's walk in Christianity that is now Contractually affiliated with an organization headed by somebody who believes that the Lord and Savior that you're preaching about Sundays was brothers with Satan. Mm-hmm. Do we not have a problem there, guys? Yes, very much. And that's the thing. It's kind of like he's doing the reverse Charlie Kirk. And don't give me I I can he I can hear it right now. Somebody out there is listening to this, and they've paused it and they've been like, well. Maybe he's witnessing to him. Listen, there is a difference between witnessing and fellowship. Yes. Yes. That is that is a start. If if we were never to speak to a lost person, then you just better not talk to anybody. But that's not what the Bible commands us to do. But we are commanded to be separate. We are commanded to be set apart. And what the Bible clearly teaches in Second Corinthians chapter six Is this Be ye not Second Corinthians chapter six verse fourteen, be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers. And time out. What does it mean to be yoked together? joined. Yeah. Working together, fellowshipping. You're experiencing fellowship. You are and and and we've got so soft and so limp wristdans. We're not vigilant. We don't earnestly contend. We just unless somebody's taking a stance for holiness, that's the only time we'll stand up and say anything. When when you have somebody and you're working, you are you are putting your stamp of approval upon who they are. Just because they may be a mainline conservative politically commentator does not mean that you forfeit the heavenly position that you have. Doesn't matter if you agree that would be like we've used this example. The Catholic Church is very, very staunch on you know the pro li like the conservative wing. Yeah. That doesn't mean we get together in a worship service and come together. Well, they're not doing a worship service. Watch. yeah. It's what was what was Charlie Kirk's memorial service? That was a an ecumenical hodgepodge. Yeah. Yeah, it's kinda like he's doing, like I said, you know. But if gonna reverse Charlie Kirk's Exactly Starting off with religion, then kinda going and he may never step foot into politics at all. But I don't think it matters if he does or not. That's what I'm saying. It doesn't matter. What I'm s yeah, so he I mean, you can't tell me that they haven't seen that model that TP USA did. The the the the model for success, the model for money, the model for all that. Exactly. I mean this is the same model. Ruslan or whatever. And Ruslan's the same guy who says, you know, instead of Talking to people, you have to figure out how to monetize people who has said that on his channel numerous times, but then he'll turn around and be like, But I love God. Okay, I mean But the you see it says don't be yoked together with unbelievers. Mm-hmm. Well a Mormon is an unbeliever. That's an unbeliever. They well, they say Jesus and they go to no no no. You you stop blurring the lines when it's convenient for you. It says For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness, and what concord hath Christ with Belial, or what part he hath that believeth with an infidel? Verse sixteen And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? The for ye are the temple of the living God. As God hath said, I will dwell in them and walk in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Verse seventeen. Basically just take a sharpie and blot it out today. Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you. That it to me when I saw that, I was like, That's very dangerous. It's already dangerous enough that the charismatics are in, but do you not see this unifying, culminating ecumenical movement to try to? Push to get everybody on the same page when you have a a common enemy, so to say. When you have a common peace, you have a common agenda. I can we can talk conservative politics all day, but we can't we can't have any gray area and look past things that the Bible clearly says do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. And Glenn Beck is an unbeliever, and I pray he gets saved. I pray he gets safe, but as right now he's he's not. 'Cause you got Ali Beth Stuckey. Yeah, there's another one. Mark Levin, Jason Whitlock, Liz Wheeler. That's the prominent Blaze Media team. Glenn Beck, Mark Levine, Ali Beth Stuckey, Jason Wickelog, Liz Wheeler, Sarah Gonzalez, the late Phil Robertson. Yeah. Church of Christ. Mm-hmm. Yeah. See what past yeah, right here. You know, it's the same he's d you know. I didn't know all these people were with him too. Nick Fluentes. Stop. Nick Twentez is a is an a is a news anchor technically for them. It says right there. And new additions. Faith and culture show live free. Mm-hmm. See, it's it's blending the lines and what it's doing Faith and culture. It's fa it's fa so it's it's trying to Christianize. You know what that is to me right there? That's seven mountain mandate stuff. Yeah. That's that's a hundred percent what pops in my mind when I see that. You're trying to Christianize politics, you're trying to Christianize this, trying to all you're doing is doing the same thing that Bill Johnson spouts on about. Mhm. It's the same thing. Yeah. I just I I I saw that and I'm like, holy cow, man. Like that's very, very interesting. It d doesn't surprise me. No. Not at all. But But it's like that and that there will be people just like we talked about last week in the that that that are in the IFB movement that continually tooth and nail or trying to defend in Galatians six one people to death by Kenny Baldwin. There will be the neo evangelical Southern Baptist Convention people that will defend this tooth and nail. They'll go they'll go to war over this because he's so influential. Yeah, I'm I'm I wouldn't be surprised if people have already cut off this recording. Yeah. But it is what it is. I don't care. What what does what does Paul say? It's actually though I be rude in speech. Plane direct. I had to find it here. I was I was having trouble finding the reverence, but Paul in Galatians four sixteen, what's he doing? He's bam, just attacking that church over the churches the churches about Judaizers and isn't and he says in verse sixteen, Am I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth? In today's world, yes. Yeah yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's I'm I did not know that, but I Well listen to verse seventeen and eighteen. They zealously affect you, but not well. That gave me chills right there in this very moment. Think about this. They zealously affect you. And this was written in fifty-eight AD. But not well. Yay, they would exclude you that you might affect them. But it is good to be zealous, affected, always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you. They zealously affect you. That's it. That's the rest of the show. But not well. 58 AD. He wrote that. Yeah. And that and that's that's that's one of the biggest things that is a battle. and it's just like I I taught on tonight. Okay. There are so many religious lost people. Mm-hmm. But there are few and far between saved religious people. Yeah. There's saved religiousless people. And it's like I talked about how many people do you know? And they profess salvation, they profess to be a Christian. You never hear speak about the Lord. And you I I sit back and you're you're judging them. Look, I I'm I'm sitting here looking, going, No, how much how much do they think about the Lord during the day? And I gave the example. I'm not sitting there, you know, exegetically look thinking about a scripture when I'm wrestling with my boys in the floor. Yeah. I'm not. I'm enjoying those moments. But like when I get up and when I'm going throughout the day and those times of, you know, meditating day and night as Psalm one talks about. Mm-hmm. You know, how many people literally Day in and day out. They're they're busy with the hustle bustle. Even if they do their fifteen minute devotions in the morning, their mind and heart is not on the Lord. They're they're checking their boxes, we've talked about. And then they expect this is where it kicks. They expect to come in on Sunday morning because you're at church and you feel this you you feel this connection. Well, that's why you have the emotionally charged music and you have the relatable, shallow doctrinal preaching and and you have these things where yeah you've you've l lived your nine to five and then you're not honoring God in your life and you're not meditating on him and you're not thinking about him and he's an afterthought but then you come in and you can get your emotions played with and feel like you touched heaven for a little bit. And by Monday morning you're right back in the same pit. Yeah well I mean that that model of service or of a church service or of your even if you want to call it a walk, that model is built upon all emotion and it's almost is like it almost seems like we've got to get these people so hyped up and so so just worked up and so euphoric that They're in a trance like state. Yeah, that they feel like they can last a week. Mm hmm. You can go back out. Yeah. Why do you think all the sermons are about storms and valleys and and all these things? And we talked about this tonight. Look, if y'all don't know where we stand, we the it's pretty obvious. What was it, Cody said that one time? You know, I just ain't sure where the old boy stands. Yeah, it's pretty clear. The we had four people seeing an a cappella of the old ship of Zion tonight. Mm-hmm. And I'm telling you, you have to go to some extreme measures to tell me that is not worshiping the Lord more and in the proper way than literally the line. Life gave me some lemons, but my Jesus he be making lemonade. Now you tell me that's not shallow. Yeah. No, that's pretty shallow. But that's I'm gonna pull a gene kim. No, that's stupid. That's the sorry, but it is. And that's the guy. now is By the way, that's for Spring. Yeah, that's for Spring, yeah. And who, by the way, Josh Howerton said is is on fire as anybody. Well he said he's a he's a problem for the devil. Yeah. Here's something people don't want to think about. We're gonna get the gap theory, are we? We'll just keep pushing it and pushing it. Excuse me. A gap theory, not theory because you're gonna say, What's the gap that don't don't you Google that? Don't no no no no no. We we are gonna have to get that. Yeah, we're gonna explain. but but you realize that the Bible speaks about Satan, but then speaks about his ministers. Mm-hmm. And when he speaks about his ministers, that's not Alistair Crowley and Anton LeVay. No. That's not the ministers of Satan. It's it's not Ozzy Osborne. No, because what does Satan do, in whom the God of this world hath blinded them, which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, which is the image of God, should shine unto them. And then Paul also writes that Satan be not deceived. Satan does disguises himself as an angel of light. There's there's no d like, okay. you've got the you've got the snakes that have the stripe and indicators that they look like they're venomous. Or you've got those bugs that look like leaves. Mm-hmm. The disguise doesn't do any good unless they can fit in with the environment that they're trying to be in. Yeah. Like your camouflage that you wear hunting, if it's fall of the year or it's you know winter season of the year and you're deer hunting, you don't wear forest green camo up in like no you have to you're you're not wearing wetlands. Exactly. You have to blend in. Still camo, but it's yeah. So like he's not gonna stick those stick out like a sore thumb. Joel Osteen, Kenneth Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, you know, all those guys, they stick out like a sore thumb. How does he disguise himself? Yeah. And people are so dead set on what they like that they don't like hearing that. Am I now your enemy because I tell you the truth? You will be some people. They zealously affect you, but not well. That verse right there, that's a That a preach right there. That is a first round Tyson knockout, is what that is. Yeah. Well, speaking of boxing, it's like, you know, the one like either old, old, old stuff or like the cartoon where like somebody's spinning their fist in front of you just to come clock you right here. It's like it's a deception and you think, I'm I'm keyed in on what they're doing, and all of sudden the shock comes out of nowhere. Well you may be keyed in to say, Yeah, I know that this over here is bad. But the Bible tells us to abstain of all appearance of evil. And these guys, your Furtix, your your Johnsons, your Houstons, your you know, What shell? Yeah, what's what's Goobers name that jumps on the trampoline, gets his head? Michael Todd Todd. All those guys, people will defend them. You don't have people unless they're in the cold of Copeland to defend him. Yeah. Everybody will sit there and go, even Bryce Crawford sat down, even though he didn't have the courage to call him out like to came out. Yeah. But like he'll even he'll even go back against what he's saying. But I don't I don't think that's the guy we need to be looking after. No. We don't need to be looking after any guy after what we talked about last week. We need to be looking after Jesus and who who's who's putting you on the right path? Like that's that's and that's a question nobody gets answered. Just as long as you say it and you act like you mean it, you're good. Lot of deception. Anyway, that went longer than I thought it would. That's right. Every time we sit down, Will's like, So hey, you wanna start? And I'm like, I got something I didn't know, I didn't know that, man. That's Yeah, that's interesting, isn't it? Well, I didn't know about the Force Frank deal. You probably sent it on Facebook, but I I did. I figured you and Hunter. Yeah. 'Cause I also s I sent it to you and I said, This is also the same guy who Who performs at the rodeo with Paul Wall. Did you know that? No. Yes, he performed at like the Houston rodeo with Paul Wall. I'm such a boomer. Who's Paul Wall? He's a rapper. Well, you need to be separate. Yeah, I know. Quit being so world. I have a past. Quit being so world. I have a past. Dude, but no that Paul Wall went even as far as to change the lyrics of one of his like most Kind of like how Kid Rock did. Famous yeah. One of his most famous rap songs to it was I don't even want to try to get it to what it said, but anyway, he changed it so he was standing there in the dirt with Forrest Frank and they were doing a c concert I guess. And he had changed. I'm sorry. Sorry, worship service that was carnal. My bad. And yeah, so yeah, he had changed the words to a just nasty song that was about, you know, sitting in a yeah, anyways. Well, it I mean it just it it goes with it's it's the same point. Like I just I It's the it the nothing's separate anymore. No. Lines have been blurred and I just I don't get it. But Anyway, Will. What is the gap theory? The gap theory is You were supposed to correct me and say it's not the, it's I thought you were asking for me to say the. yeah. No, we'll get into that. But like the describe to the listeners why we're stressing that and not the. So when it comes to gap theory, there are three camps you could say. Mm-hmm. One camp would say there's no gap. And here's what the gap is. So and then, well, one would say there's no gap. The gap that we're referring to is between Genesis one and Genesis two. One one and one two. Yeah, that's that's what I meant. You thank you. so We we've changed a little bit in three months, ain't we? So that there was creation and then with it being formless and or void, that something there's there's a time that stretches between those two and something took place. Yeah, there's an undetermined amount of time. So three camps. Just basically first camp says there's no gap. The second camp would say And this is probably the most popular one if like we said, if you Google it, this is what you're gonna get. This is what you're gonna get. You're gonna get the gap theory, which is which is what I got thrown on me that I talked about last week. Yes. It's going to be basically the camp that says there's millions and millions of years between Genesis one one and Genesis one two. And within those millions of years, there's a pre edemic civilization and which means before Adam. Before Adam, there was other people, and it's just not written about. And within that time, you can insert millions and millions of years to make evolution fit into the Bible. Theistic evolution. God ordained single cell bacteria bacterial organisms. To come up out of the ooze and then walk out of the ocean. Which is one thing I don't agree with Jeff Durbin on hardly anything. I think his approach is wrong. I think he's belligerent. I think he cusses. I don't I mean I I don't think he cusses. He cusses. Yeah. That's not what a pastor should do. I'm not Calvinistic. I'm not postmillennial. I don't I don't agree with him and James Wan on anything. But I do love when he's debating people and going out and he goes, So we were all just pawn scum is the way he describes it. And I like I like that. Like that's the anyway, I digress. And then the third camp would be you take out the word the and then you just put the word A. So it would be A gap theory. And that would be Sounds like a cop out will no that would be along the lines of maybe hundreds or thousands of years. And during that time we could have seen the fall of Satan. Mm-hmm. So that's that that's the three camps kind of. And and and like you said, like that's this is not something that you just Google and go to like Bible exchange or you throw into chat GPT and say, tell me more about this and stuff like that. And you know, when we were looking into it that first time after that event that we described last week, what's his name? Not dina not Kent Hovind, the Dino Dr. Dino. Ken Ham. Ken Ham. Ken Ham. We were watching a video with him and you know He is vehemently against all the gap there because it to him, anything with a gap is theistic evolution. Right. And it like so the the gentleman's name that is attributed to being the forerunner to this, and I don't have those notes in front of me, so I'm just gonna have to freehand this. It's Thomas Chalmers. Yes. And this was in the 1700s, if I'm correct. which is interesting because when you begin to see the scripture for how the scripture is written, and you do rightly divide and you you look dispensationally through scripture, if you notice it's been within the last 200 years There's been so many pushes towards, okay, it's the gap theory, and we can trace it to Chalmers to justify this. Okay. It's not a pre-tribulation rapture. We can trace it to Darby and say it attributed to mass salvations in the tw nineteenth and twentieth century because people were in Schofield because the the rapture could happen. It's not you know, all the way back here it's you know, or it's It's yes, Tishendorf found these, but we can trace it back and we do these things and now we've got all these different Bible translations and it's like doctrines that are there are being attacked from like recent discoveries and then they're trying to attribute it as being ev like I I know I'm not making sense. No, the thing is 'cause it's it's it's it's like this. It's like stuff that was taught or spoken about before I don't know, seventeen hundreds, we'll just say that. Yeah. Eighteen hundreds. Are getting basically it's the same people that say, you know, the oldest is the best, or the thing of we gotta look back farther than that, but when it comes to their arguments against something, they'll stop. See, and that's what I thought I thought about the other day 'cause they'll stop. What verse did I preach out of Sunday morning? By the way, we had two amazing services Sunday morning. Before you go looking through your Bible, way to r way to really seek out the scriptures there during the week, pal. So first John five seven. The comma johonym, right? that's a that's a Desiderius Erasmus addition or addition to his third edition, I believe. I'm freehanding this. So don't don't fact check me. If I'm right, then go ahead and fact check me. I think it's 1522 is when he put out his third edition of the TR or what would become the TR, his Greek, his Greek translation. So here's what people say. That should not be in there because Erasmus didn't have it in his first two editions. Is it the Nestle Allen getting ready to be on its 29th? Thirtieth? Either way. But whi whichever way. But it's like so y'all c y'all can adjust and y'all can rearrange and y'all can do these things, but that's your argumentative stance as to why that should be dismissed. Yeah. That's illogical. And it was before sixteen eleven. Anyway. So but but but you see what I'm saying? Like I thought about that the other day when I was when I was researching you know, because I I got that book, I can't remember the guy's name, but somebody led me to it. And he actually didn't get to finish it. So it the the book is like a rough draft, but it's like a historical explanation and validation of first John five seven. And, you know, I I countless, countless either Latin transcriptions or this or that or whatever you go through, but you can trace it back and and the I it just it blew my mind to think about the argumentative stance of well it was only in Erasmus's third edition, so it shouldn't be out. So everything that is before nest line like why why do you keep revising why do you keep throwing out different editions. Why yeah. That's their argument. Yeah. And it's just no, no. I just I don't know. Anyway, so gap theory. So gap theory, chalmers, they they try to push it all the way back to Which also doesn't make any sense because if I can remember my date right here, I believe Darwin's theory of evolution really expanded in eighteen fifty two. So if Chalmers was in the seventeen hundreds, we're even predating. So how could we be trying to force fit theistic evolution into a place where a hundred years quote unquote the theory was developed a hundred years before that? Yeah. I just that's me, we've not even got to the scriptural citations and the butt, but we're just giving you the backstory. We've we've spent a lot this is not an easy one to do. No, it's not. But it's important because like I said, I got caught backed into a corner about it. Mm-hmm. And I'll never forget it was after I'd broken my rib and Hunter was over at the house and we called James and we were like, What do you know about the gap theory? And then James just started Boom, like exploding on it. And I'm like, man, I got a long way to go because I don't want to be ever get cornered like that again. Like I want to have a defense. I want to be ready to give an answer for what we got. And when I start looking at this, you know, I believe first and foremost, we'll give our thoughts and then start diving a little deeper. anyone who talks about the gap theory in the equation of preademic civilizations and theistic evolution, that is heretical. Mm-hmm. But I also believe that there is room here and scriptural evidence through cross referencing and allowing scripture to reference scripture to say that if you believe in a gap theory, whether that be hundreds or you know, a relatively short thousand year period there, and I'm not trying to be like two thousand. Yeah, something along those lines. I don't believe that's heretical teaching. No that's and what what did Breaker say like it's not a fellowship breaker. No, it's I am not you know, I'm not very super dogmatic about this. This is not a dogma dogmatic. And what he did was he he the way Breaker put it, Breaker was like this at the end of the day, this is fun. Yeah, this is something that's at the end of the day, what are we doing? We're diving deeper into God's word. Yes. And we're and we're looking at scripture compared to scripture and we're just studying. Yeah. And it it shouldn't be something that divides. No. Now if if you are if you are in the camp say, No, I can see that because of the fossil records and this and that. There were people running around. But I I do believe like I have for things like this, you have to study to show yourself approved. Yeah. Like hands down. Yeah. Yeah. Big time. So one of the most interesting facts I think we can start out with it getting a little bit more into scripture is why don't you make the point of what all the verses from three to the rest of the days of creation what do they begin with? They all begin with starting If you start in Genesis one one, of course, but basically from Genesis one three all the way through thirty-five. Yeah. Thirty one. Thirty one. All the way to the to the end of the chapter. Yeah. They all begin with and. And. Referring to that there is a Event that's taking place and then there's a certain amount of time that has lapsed between what event we just described. Yes. And then if you look at Verse two. Verse two, what does it begin with? Begins with the word and. And. See, and we're not going to go down the whole, like this was the argument that was given to me about Tohu and Bohu in the Hebrew. And we're not getting into all that. You can get deep. You can get so deep into it. You can, but here's the thing I would say as well. it's like David W. Daniels always says, your interpretation of Greek is your Greek professor's Greek professor's interpretation of Greek. Like whatever you describe as Koine Greek or whatever you describe as even even Hebrew, because we need to go back to like the Masoretic line to describe that. And Pronunciation and what it depicts, it's and and by the way, like the King James translators were extremely well versed in that. So like they've given that translation. I can go same argument you and I had with someone we know. Mm-hmm. Well, rightly dividing can mean cutting into a cave. And I said, So does that mean that? Paul's telling us in Second Timothy two fifteen that we gotta go cut into it cut into a ca like, yeah, that can mean that in the Greek. What's the contextual piece for here? Exactly. So we it it'll depend on where you look at what you look at to determine what Tohu and Bohu are. We we we're just gonna look at what the scripture says here. Mm-hmm. So like here's here's the first question that pops up. I may have said this is the first like six times, but whatever. This is the new first. How can that's a play on words for what we're talking about. How can God How can God create something? Let's not even go to God yet. How can you create something that's formless and void? How can you create something that's without form and void? All right, I give you a I give you a stack of two by fours. I give you a nail gun, and I say, Will, we're going to start building a shed. And we go build a shed. Could we come back out later and be like, Well, that has no form and it's just void. No. There's going to be some type of structure to it. It may not be done well. Period. It may not be up to regulations, like all the things. There's going to be something there. So how can something be created and it be void and formless? It can't. But can it become void and formless? Yes. Yes. So there has to be an event take place to cause that. Right? Yes. And you might say, well The argument there, just to go ahead and jump right into scripture. The argument there is someone might say, Well, that's the way God made it. Well, let's let Scripture interpret Scripture. You're gonna go to Isaiah. If I can get there, Zach's already beat me there. Woo. Isaiah forty five eighteen. Isaiah forty five eighteen says, For thus saith the Lord, so that's that is God saying that. For thus saith the Lord. Is that a capital L, capital O? Okay, so by the way, also that is Jehovah, not Yahweh. Yes. Go ahead. We'll do an episode on that. For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens, God himself that formed the earth and made it, he hath established it. He created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited. I am the Lord, and there is none else. So right there, thus saith the Lord, capital L, capital O R D. Jehovah speaks. Right there. God himself that formed the earth and made it, he hath established it, created it not in vain, formed it to be inhabited. So the argument of well God created it nope. He didn't create it. He he didn't create it in vain. He did he didn't create it void and and formless and so and here's here's where it gets. It's called the Luciferian flood. What whatever way it's depicted. Okay. Here's here's where the question begins to to unravel. Well what happened? When did Satan fall? Don't know. But we have clues, right? Yes, we do. Okay, so let's read here in Isaiah chapter fourteen, verse twelve. It says, How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning? How art thou cut down to the ground? Interesting. So if you're cut down to the ground. To the ground? To the ground. Not from the ground. To the ground. To the ground. Which didst weaken the nations. For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven. So he's got to ascend up. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. I will be like the most high. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell to the sides of the pit. And you're reading Isaiah fourteen, twelve through fifteen? Yeah. Yeah. So Satan At some point fail. Satan had pride in his heart. He had animosity towards God. Basically, your I don't mean to be irreverent here, but like your disgruntled employee that sees the boss go, I could do a better job than that. Like it's that type of deal. I mean, there's five I will statements right here. So we know that at some point he failed and we know at some point too that. That this has to be before the entrance into the Garden of Eden to tempt Eve. There's also a growing swarm of people that want to say that wasn't actually Satan in the garden. That was he's referred to as the old serpent. Now what I'll say is Is that Satan now is known as the Prince of the Power of the Air. And we can go to the book of Job. He's called the old serpent, the dragon, the Leviathan, all these things. You know, we we can go into that in great detail one day because I would love to, because it's very, very fascinating. But he had pride well up in his heart, and during the days of creation. Here's where the fall has to go. What did God say after every day of creation? With it I am well pleased. It is good. Yeah, it is good. It is good. Would this event right here with the anointed cherub the son of the the it literally says the son of the morning, which is why your new Bible translations gives the name of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to Lucifer? Yes. Would it have been good in those days if Satan had fell? Yeah. no. No, because that's in all those in those six days of creation for God to have to banish one of his angels or you know his his lead well one of his one of his lead guys if if that makes sense try not to be irreverent but if if he I just love the way you put it Well, you know. No, I know exactly what you're saying. It was just funny because you were like you were trying to find a way to say it to not be irreverent. You're like, And I was totally irreverent. Lead guy. But he would he would not find that to be good. That to be good. That would not be good. so here's the deal. You either squeeze it in between the end of creation and when he enters the garden. So Here here's the thing. Now you're still playing games with the kind of You're just you're just changing where you squeeze it in. Exactly. But there's there's more scriptural evidence to validate the claim of there's a little something that went on here. Okay. So I'm gonna flip over the book of Ezekiel. Yeah. Ezekiel twenty-eight. Ezekiel twenty-eight. This is the depiction depiction of the king of Tyree. The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God, Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am God, I sit in the seat of God, and in the midst of the seas, yet thou art a man and not God. Though thou set thine heart as the heart of God, this next verse is scary. Mm-hmm. Let me say this first. Like, this is a basically a back-to-back depiction of Isaiah 14. This next verse is scary. Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel. There is no secret that they can hide from thee. Yeah. That's yeah. And then how wise was Daniel? Yeah. Yeah. With thy wisdom and with thine understanding, thou hast gotten thee riches and hast gotten the gold and silver and the treasures. By thy great wisdom and by thy traffic hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches. Therefore, thus saith the Lord God, Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God, behold, I will therefore bring strangers upon thee in the terrible of the nations, and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness, they shall bring thee down to the pit. And thou shalt die the deaths of them that were slain in the midst of the seas. Verse nine says, Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? that's awesome. But thou shalt be a man and no God in the hand of him that slayeth thee. Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers, so on and so forth. Verse twelve Son of man, take up the lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord thy God. The Lord God, thou sealest up the sum full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden, the garden of God. Verse 14 says, Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth, and I have set thee so. Thou wast upon the holy mountain of God, thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created. Till iniquity was found in thee. What's iniquity? Sin. Lawlessness. Yep. So what you see through this is and this this was a thought that that was brought up in one of the Bible institutes, and I just thought it was amazing. What does the Bible culminate with? What is the end goal? What is what is the great thing? The great thing is Satan is destroyed and Well, yes. But the Lord receives his kingdom. You didn't let me finish. That's what I was gonna say. Okay. Anyways. So I'll I'll give you what Caitlin gives me. You're not talking f fast enough. I have heard I have heard my wife say that too. So it's given the the dominion was given to Adam and Eve. Mm-hmm. They lost it. The dominions given to all these different kings throughout time, they couldn't do it. What about before that? Dominion was given to Satan. So then the other proof text is Second Peter chapter three, verse four. And saying where is the promise of his coven for s coming, for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation, which Is a problem we have right now. That's a fulfillment of scripture. I love when people go, I've heard that Jesus come back all my life. And that you know, well, thank you for fulfilling scripture. Verse five, for this they willingly are ignorant of that by the word of God the heavens were of old. Okay. Here's what you're gonna have to do when we read the next couple of verses. You're gonna have to say, Is this talking about the Noahic flood? But that verse, that line that those words right there in that verse, the heavens were of old. Mm-hmm. That's at creation. There's a timeline to get to Noah from the days of creation. But the heavens were of old. So God is through Peter, through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, is taking us back To the beginning. Yes. That's what that has to be. Mm-hmm. Because how can something be old? Exactly. The earth standing out of the water and in the water. Because if you just read verse six and verse seven, you would say, this is talking about Noah. Whereby the world that then was being overflowed with water perished. But the heavens and the earth, which are now by the same word, are kept in store reserved. Under fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. So you think, okay, that's judgment. But here's the thing. Is there only one depiction of the pre-tribulation rapture of the church in scripture? Is there only one No? There's multiple. You go back to Genesis 5 and look at Enoch. There it is. You go to Elijah, you look at, okay. Is there just one depiction of judgment here? No. Is there more than one rapture? Yes. So is there more than one judgment? Yes. Yeah. So this can't be the Noaiic flood. I'll say this too. Peter has no problem referencing Noah in other places of scripture. No, yeah, that's the thing. It's not like he will he beats around the bush when it comes to other times. 'Cause he talks about going back to the heavens where of all so if how did how did the water get there? How was the worth in how was the earth in and out of the water taking us all the way back to the beginning? Are you asking me? It was kinda rhetorical. I think something also we gotta Something that was in there too is after the Noahic flood, the earth was not it didn't perish. We're still on it. Correct. Which it says which we are of now. Which we are of now. Now, here's the other thing. You can say this is a stretch. If it's a stretch, it's the greatest coincidence in the world. The comparisons between Adam and Noah. Do you know where I'm going this? Yes, go. Okay. So Adam sinned by putting something of fruit in his mouth. Mm-hmm. Noah sinned by putting something of fruit in his mouth. He planted a vineyard and got drunk off of it. Yep. Adam had three sons Cain, Abel, and Seth. Noah had three sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth. They both are given. they both understood that they had sinned because of their nakedness. Mm-hmm. They both also are given a specific command after a flood. Yes. Because the same command that Noah gets is the same command that Adam and Eve get. So Will, why don't you read in Genesis nine, God's command to Noah after the Noahic flood? Yep. Genesis nine one. And God blessed Noah and his sons and said unto them Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. Okay. Here is Genesis one twenty eight. So replenish the earth. That makes sense. They it's been wiped out, they got a need to replenish it. Exactly. Yep. Genesis one twenty eight and God blessed them. This is Genesis one, says Adam and Eve, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. It's either same word. It's either the weirdest coincidence in the world, the biggest typo in the world, or God gave the same command to the same type of figure after the same type of event. Yes. I'm going with option C. Yeah. Because the other thing too is when Satan has already fallen, sin did was not created in the Garden of Eden. It fell upon man that's in the Garden of Eden. That's where it fell upon man, but it was already in the world. And and this type of thing It's very interesting, and I guess we'll start to wrap this up. Yeah. It's very interesting to be able to deep dive into cross reference and like you said, have fun and have conversations talking about it not to justify millions and millions of years. It's not being an old earther. Yeah, no. That's not that's not the case of what we're talking about here. This is not to backdate and try to force feed in millions of years of history. The the earth is young. Mm-hmm. It is there's there's six or seven thousand years of human history culminating in the millennial reign, number of eight of new creation, that's the new heavens and the new earth, the last thousand being the millennial kingdom. You we'll get into that. We can take multiple episodes, talk about the seven feasts of Israel, the seven days of creation, the you know, the timeline of everything. that's the seven churches. Like that's it's all made that way by God. But this right here is very, very interesting and very fun to look at as long as you're not, like we said, going into that deep rabbit hole of well now I can talk about evolution or I can talk no, that's that's not what this justice is. No, no. So yeah, I mean that so basically I don't think we I'll just tell you where where where I stand on all this. I I kinda tend to agree with you know, we haven't even mentioned him but He he's has a lot of good stuff Clarence Larkin. Larkin, yeah. I I I tend to agree kind of with with his take. like I said, this just me. This is me me rightly dividing, trying to use scripture to justify scripture. And just studying it. Yeah, and just studying so Genesis one one, original creation. There's the gap, which is Lucifer's rebellion, and that's when he fell and there was some kind kind of divine judgment, which is why he fell and all that. And then within that, Genesis one two, there was basically a a ruined earth that was formed that was n voidless and all that. And then you know, you got Genesis one three through thirty one and that's where you got six day restoration. Yeah. And then Genesis two, just the rest of history. Well it's what we talked about or taught about tonight. He's gonna restore, he's gonna refine, he's gonna refresh it again. See it all through scripture. Nothing but just He's gonna do it again. And then he's gonna destroy it and he's gonna create a new heavens and a new earth. But like God's He's not trying to pull the wool over our eyes. He's not trying to keep a secret. He's not that's like I've heard some people say, Well, there's just things we're not supposed to know. Yeah. Because Daniel chapter twelve says seal up the book. But then you go in the New Testament, you read the book of Revelation, and you're realizing what was being sealed up by Daniel. Mm-hmm. Like, you know, it's there's things that we may not understand yet, but I don't think there's anything that's in scripture that's supposed to be like This is hidden and this shouldn't you know, that it's it's all given to us to be fruit b to be fruitful, to to rightly divide, to study the scriptures and to grow closer, cause that to me, like if that's the case and it is, which I tend to agree with you, I tend to agree with Larkin on where the positioning and the time frame of it and all those things And there's and you know, and you know I'm not to but with that, there's no real it's This is before time was created. Yeah. You know, this is before time was ever established. So we can't in in our peon little brains fathom But it is fun to study. No, that's what I'm saying. That's what that's what's fun. That that's why people well well, how long was that? How long was the gate? I don't know. I can tell you it wasn't millions of years. Yeah, I I don't think it was millions of years and but yeah, it's it's an indefinite amount of time. But not a million years. Yeah. And it's not a fellowship breaker. It's just fun to discuss. Yeah. And like I'm dogmatic on premillennial dispensational pre-tribulation. I'm going be very dogmatic on that. Yeah. I'm going to be dogmatic to say, no, you can't try to equate theistic evolution into a gap theory. But if you want to say it's a if you want to say it's twenty thousand and I just think it's seven thousand. Cool. Yeah, but I think it w what would be interesting if it was seven thousand seven hundred and seventy seven years. That's more realistic. I think they would you know, two thousand and 'cause there's seven thousand years of human history and That's a different story for a different day. don't get we'll d you wanna do the Feast of Israel next week? Yeah. I love it. I was just thinking the other day how much I want to reteach that. Let's do it. Yeah. You talk about timeline of human history, that that wraps it up right there. That's the one that gets my brain scrambled. But I love it. That's when me and you were cleaning all the stuff out of my office, and I was like, dude. Yeah. And just started run. And you're like, okay. Yeah. And you just started. And I was like that whole morning. I'd spent like three hours, just right before Thanksgiving. Like three hours just in depth. I was not prepared what I walked into on that one. And I was in my head, I was going, dude, I gotta. For this. And then we were loading works. We were loading up the truck and I was like, yeah, did I tell you about the gestational period with a woman and how it aligns with too? And you're like, just just stop. I was like, I another day. Another day. So let's do that one. That one's fun, man. That's a fun study. Yeah. That's a fun study. Well, I gave you that book about whatever all the the numbers. What is it that something of the king sealed by the King by I yeah, that guy that guy's good. Yeah. You're like, take this. This is gibberish to me. Yeah. man. Well, good episode, man. Glad we got to talk about it finally the A gap theory and then I love how the Lord guides our conversations with things that are just present and prevalent and need be discussed. You know, can hurt people, hurt their flesh. Yeah. But if I stepped on your toes I didn't mean to. I was aiming for your heart. Absolutely. It's it's just The whole thing of you know, you guys are just nothing but negative and all it's it's not. If that's the way you wanna see it, you're you're welcome to it. But you know what? I'm I have especially as a pastor, my blood's not gonna be you know, you y your blood's not gonna be on my hands if I can do everything in my power to Yeah, 'cause I'm gonna be accountable if I don't say something. And I'm just not gonna do that. And we've the true contending for the faith Christians have been quiet for too long. And like we talked about tonight, we need to sober up. And we are not being vigilant. Correct. Good episode. Now, if you did listen, dive in and look a little bit at the gap there. Just don't do it on Google. Correct. If you want resources on it, email us. We'll I know our book giveaway went so great with emails, but email us, we'll send it to you. Yeah. But, you know, if you want to look into it, there's a That may have been the Lord looking out for us right there. Because look at some of the books we were trying to get away. We only gave one book away and it was to Bailey. Yeah. And I was like That was out of pity. She was like, Hey guys. Yeah, no. She was just trying to be supportive. And I'm sure by now she's like, Yeah. She don't even listen anymore. Nobody does. But that's all right. We're just talking to each other. Yeah. But yeah, another good episode. We'll see you next week. Do it again.
