WEBVTT
00:00:19.039 --> 00:00:23.039
I'm June Ryant, your host, and we welcome you to our podcast.
00:00:24.239 --> 00:00:34.719
Our vision is to win souls to Christ and to help those who know him by giving them a fresh new perspective on Christian living and reading God's word.
00:00:35.119 --> 00:00:46.159
Our mission is to biblically educate people while growing in their Christian walk by answering questions that they are uncomfortable to ask in a church-like setting.
00:00:46.560 --> 00:00:49.679
You can find us wherever you get your podcast.
00:00:50.079 --> 00:00:52.159
Please like and subscribe.

00:01:33.840 --> 00:01:36.719
Yeah, I'm back hosting boy.
00:01:41.680 --> 00:01:48.159
Next week's podcast is going to be uh woo gonna open up your nose with this.
00:01:48.719 --> 00:01:49.200
That's right.
00:01:49.439 --> 00:01:53.200
But I'm uh gonna let everybody introduce themselves.
00:01:53.840 --> 00:01:54.719
Hello, I'm Pat.
00:01:55.120 --> 00:01:56.159
Glad to be here.
00:01:56.239 --> 00:01:58.560
And hope you get something out of this today.
00:01:59.359 --> 00:02:00.239
And I'm Rich.
00:02:00.560 --> 00:02:03.120
Like, share, subscribe, bring 10 friends.
00:02:03.359 --> 00:02:03.840
All right.
00:02:04.640 --> 00:02:07.439
Hey, good morning and good day to everybody out there in the podcast line.
00:02:07.519 --> 00:02:08.319
This is Antoine.
00:02:08.400 --> 00:02:11.039
I hope everybody's having a blessed day and a good week so far.
00:02:11.599 --> 00:02:12.479
Hey man.
00:02:13.039 --> 00:02:16.319
Yeah, and uh I messed this up.
00:02:16.879 --> 00:02:17.759
It's okay.
00:02:18.479 --> 00:02:25.280
Uh this topic really is like a piggyback off of uh the last week's.
00:02:25.439 --> 00:02:33.120
This is for YouTube, but those of you that are on Facebook, this is uh kind of like a piggyback off of what Pat hosted.
00:02:33.280 --> 00:02:33.759
Thank you.
00:02:34.000 --> 00:02:34.800
That was so good.
00:02:35.439 --> 00:02:37.120
That was good and brokenness.
00:02:37.199 --> 00:02:38.960
Uh you all want to catch that.
00:02:39.120 --> 00:02:42.800
Don't skip over it if you are uh on uh YouTube.
00:02:43.039 --> 00:02:45.919
I'm I'm posting them on Instagram again.
00:02:46.319 --> 00:02:51.360
So if you all uh just just check out brokenness.
00:02:51.439 --> 00:02:54.879
You did a wonderful job on it, and it's really relevant.
00:02:55.120 --> 00:02:59.039
But today's topic is uh the hope we have.
00:02:59.199 --> 00:03:06.159
It's a piggyback off of being broken, because you have to know that we there is hope in Christ.
00:03:07.120 --> 00:03:09.680
You can overcome anything.
00:03:10.400 --> 00:03:16.800
Uh trusting Jesus in every season, the hope we have, trusting Jesus in every season.
00:03:16.960 --> 00:03:27.680
Now, during my research, I found that both the old and new testaments describe hope as confident expectation, not just wishful thinking.
00:03:28.719 --> 00:03:39.919
In the old testament, people look forward to God's future actions, uh, his expected deliverance being restored, as well as the coming of the Messiah.
00:03:40.080 --> 00:03:44.319
And they were also rooted in God's past faithfulness.
00:03:44.479 --> 00:03:54.400
Now, there are a couple of scriptures you can read, Isaiah 40, 31, and you can read uh Psalms 135 through 6.
00:03:55.039 --> 00:04:09.280
Now, in the New Testament, hope is centered on Jesus, uh, the Messiah who all has already come, looking forward to his return, the resurrection, and eternal life.
00:04:09.759 --> 00:04:17.360
Now, in both testaments, hope is active waiting, trust, and confidence in God's faithfulness.
00:04:17.600 --> 00:04:21.600
The main difference is what the people were hoping for.
00:04:22.720 --> 00:04:33.759
I'm encouraging you to read, uh, I'm with us being short on time, I'm encouraging you to read Hebrews 11 and 1 about the faith of things that are hoped for.
00:04:34.399 --> 00:04:37.839
And 1 Peter 1, 3 through 5.
00:04:38.399 --> 00:04:45.439
Now, believers often think of the word hope like, uh, I hope it's a sunny day today so we can have a picnic.
00:04:45.519 --> 00:04:49.680
Or I hope that my Rams win and Dallas loses the game.
00:04:52.720 --> 00:04:57.680
I hope that my dinner I'm fixing today turns out delicious.
00:04:57.920 --> 00:04:58.560
That's cold.
00:04:58.720 --> 00:05:01.279
Maybe a little blue.
00:05:03.120 --> 00:05:04.000
I hope they win everything.
00:05:06.160 --> 00:05:07.040
Whatever.
00:05:08.399 --> 00:05:23.040
Maybe a positive feeling or wishful thinking sounds a little better, but the Bible presents hope as a confident expectation that's rooted in God's promises as well as his character.
00:05:23.360 --> 00:05:31.439
These turn hope into assurance, giving us that lasting strength and transform lives.
00:05:32.160 --> 00:05:38.000
Hope doesn't just help us survive family, it teaches us how to expect God.
00:05:38.720 --> 00:05:42.639
Expectation is the soil where our faith grows.
00:05:43.120 --> 00:05:52.560
When we start expecting God to move, speak, guide, and transform, our spiritual lives will increase.
00:05:53.680 --> 00:06:04.800
Biblical hope is doing what is the steady confidence that God is who he says he is and will do what he said he would do.
00:06:05.600 --> 00:06:08.000
New believers uh need hope.
00:06:08.160 --> 00:06:17.519
They need it because uh it becomes the foundation of their faith, peace, perseverance, and their joy.
00:06:17.759 --> 00:06:27.439
Now, for the record family, before I turn it over to uh the co-host, uh for the record family, hope in the Bible is not wishful thinking, as I said.
00:06:27.680 --> 00:06:33.439
It's having confident expectations rooted in God's character.
00:06:33.600 --> 00:06:34.079
Yes, right.
00:06:34.639 --> 00:06:41.759
That's the core truth that all believers, new and seasoned, everybody, they need it.
00:06:42.000 --> 00:06:46.879
Hope is meant to be lived, not just believed.
00:06:47.439 --> 00:06:54.319
Now I'm gonna open it up uh for uh the panel, the uh co-host to give me what you got.
00:06:55.600 --> 00:06:57.040
I took all your verses.
00:06:57.600 --> 00:06:58.319
Oh no.
00:07:01.600 --> 00:07:04.639
I like how you broke down the old and the new testament ways.
00:07:04.800 --> 00:07:05.120
Yes, ma'am.
00:07:05.360 --> 00:07:06.560
Yeah, that's just beautiful.
00:07:06.800 --> 00:07:16.879
Yeah, the Israelites, they hoped well, actually, their reliance was on God, you know, uh, for protection and for provision.
00:07:17.040 --> 00:07:26.480
You know, they uh how they uh went over uh dry land, they was in the wilderness and everything, they was hungry and all this stuff.
00:07:26.800 --> 00:07:27.920
God provided for them.
00:07:28.079 --> 00:07:33.360
They trusted in God, they hoped that God would send them something, and he did, manna.
00:07:33.680 --> 00:07:35.600
And then uh wait a minute, what else?
00:07:35.920 --> 00:07:36.560
I don't forget.
00:07:36.879 --> 00:07:38.720
What was that, manna and what else?
00:07:39.040 --> 00:07:41.279
Then he had they had they had something to drink, didn't he?
00:07:44.079 --> 00:07:45.360
No, it was something quail.
00:07:46.079 --> 00:07:46.399
Quail.
00:07:46.800 --> 00:07:47.759
It was meat, quail.
00:07:50.000 --> 00:07:55.120
Yeah, they uh he provided for them quail and uh manna from from from Ohio.
00:07:55.360 --> 00:08:06.879
And so this is their reliance on God, you know, and protect me, you know, from my enemies and stuff when they went to war, you know, they always called on God, you know, to protect them and what have you.
00:08:07.199 --> 00:08:18.720
And so uh, but in the New Testament, now that hope is all the way different because uh Jesus came on the scene and he is the hope of the glory, our glory.
00:08:18.959 --> 00:08:20.240
And he is our hope.
00:08:20.879 --> 00:08:24.000
And I I just really like how you said it's the expectation.
00:08:24.160 --> 00:08:28.079
Yes, and it and then you you're active in the hope.
00:08:28.399 --> 00:08:31.759
Hope that you don't just sit there and cross your legs just waiting.
00:08:31.839 --> 00:08:33.919
And what what is our hope for?
00:08:34.559 --> 00:08:41.759
Our hope and I I kind of looked it up again about hope, but I came up with an acronym.
00:08:42.080 --> 00:08:47.200
Hope is holding out patiently until eternity.
00:08:47.759 --> 00:08:48.559
And that's what we're doing.
00:08:48.960 --> 00:08:49.200
That's good.
00:08:49.600 --> 00:08:54.080
That's what we're doing, holding out because things gonna happen while we're here, and I'm gonna leave that alone.
00:08:55.120 --> 00:08:56.159
Got to hold out.
00:08:59.679 --> 00:09:04.480
Um the only thing I would say with your definition, my yeah, I literally had the same thing.
00:09:04.639 --> 00:09:07.039
Only one word in mind was different.
00:09:08.000 --> 00:09:13.840
A confident and certain expectation rooted in Jesus Christ's resurrection and promise.
00:09:14.240 --> 00:09:14.399
Right.
00:09:15.840 --> 00:09:19.120
And the show took me first Peter 1 Peter 1 and 3.
00:09:20.000 --> 00:09:23.840
But I'm gonna read uh Romans chapter 5, 3 through 5.
00:09:24.720 --> 00:09:41.519
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience, and patience experience, and experience hope, and hope maketh not ashamed.
00:09:42.159 --> 00:09:49.519
Because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us.
00:09:50.799 --> 00:10:07.519
In Romans 15 and 13, it states, now that God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, yes, yes that ye may abound in hope and through the power of the Holy Ghost.
00:10:09.039 --> 00:10:13.759
Now, in researching this one, it's nothing but encouragement.
00:10:13.919 --> 00:10:14.159
Yes.
00:10:14.399 --> 00:10:32.320
This is about encouragement and and like uh my mom said, we went over brokenness, but just understand, even though we go through those those different times, that there's always hope on the other side of that because for one, it's about it it falls in kind of alignment with faith.
00:10:32.480 --> 00:10:32.879
Yes.
00:10:33.440 --> 00:10:42.559
You know that you have faith in God, you believe in something, faith is the believing in something that is not physically present per se.
00:10:43.279 --> 00:10:44.879
Hope is in the same alignment.
00:10:45.120 --> 00:10:45.360
Yes.
00:10:45.919 --> 00:10:50.480
But the key thing is with hope, it follows with a lot of promises.
00:10:51.279 --> 00:10:55.120
Jesus has made a lot of promises to us through that.
00:10:55.600 --> 00:11:05.120
So use that as encouragement or encouraging thing to understand that when you're going through those times is for one to help build you up.
00:11:05.360 --> 00:11:07.279
So don't just wallow in it.
00:11:07.440 --> 00:11:09.919
Go to God, and it may be things that you don't know.
00:11:10.000 --> 00:11:18.799
That's one thing I know that we that's been saying a lot that's been deep, that we don't really stress, is the fact that we go through these different times.
00:11:19.519 --> 00:11:26.000
And it's gonna be nothing but your faith in Him that is gonna help you get through these times.
00:11:26.080 --> 00:11:26.559
Yes, sir.
00:11:26.879 --> 00:11:27.919
Faith and prayer.
00:11:28.080 --> 00:11:31.679
If it weren't without them, I I know I wouldn't be right here right now.
00:11:32.159 --> 00:11:33.600
And that's the key part.
00:11:33.759 --> 00:11:51.440
The main thing about this walk is, man, is understanding and have a clear understanding that no matter what is going on, as long as you, for one, you're repenting on your sins, like we're supposed to, which honestly, that's that is more harder than me to be um frank and transparent than the forgiving part.
00:11:51.759 --> 00:11:56.559
I can forgive easy not than repenting, which don't even sound like it makes sense, but I'm just being honest.
00:11:56.720 --> 00:11:56.960
Right.
00:11:57.120 --> 00:12:00.320
Because the repent thing be them things where you know dang well.
00:12:00.480 --> 00:12:05.200
The sins we dwell in that we discuss, a lot of times you don't want to repent on that.
00:12:05.279 --> 00:12:07.039
Because you know you repent on, you do it again.
00:12:07.120 --> 00:12:07.600
Guess what?
00:12:07.759 --> 00:12:09.039
It ain't gonna get no better.
00:12:09.200 --> 00:12:09.519
Yeah.
00:12:09.919 --> 00:12:13.919
So that's something that I've struggled with and have to work on as my mom's super water.
00:12:14.080 --> 00:12:15.279
That I've had to work on.
00:12:16.159 --> 00:12:17.039
That I've had to work on.
00:12:18.399 --> 00:12:28.879
That I've had to literally, like, I'm just being honest, I had to work on within myself because I found it was certain sins that that I knew I was living in, and I just didn't want to repent on.
00:12:30.080 --> 00:12:35.759
But the key part is, as you know, that we're supposed to be as righteous as possible.
00:12:35.840 --> 00:12:44.320
So you can't not repent on them if you want to stay obedient and to continue to be in alignment with what God has for you.
00:12:44.399 --> 00:12:54.080
And that's where the hope in that comes to life for me, because I already know that God already has laid out a foundation for what he wants me to do within him.
00:12:54.399 --> 00:13:04.000
The key part is understanding that through this process and the growing, that you're shedding those different sinful natural things so that you can be as righteous as possible.
00:13:04.159 --> 00:13:05.600
And don't be afraid to repent.
00:13:05.679 --> 00:13:10.080
Like I said, I've had issues with sometimes because again, I'm just honest about stuff.
00:13:10.480 --> 00:13:13.519
And it'd be them things like, man, I don't really want to get it up.
00:13:13.600 --> 00:13:16.720
So that's said now, so I do it a couple more times, then repent.
00:13:16.879 --> 00:13:17.200
See.
00:13:17.840 --> 00:13:18.480
You know what I'm saying?
00:13:18.559 --> 00:13:20.240
Like, like I'm gonna negotiate with the Lord.
00:13:20.960 --> 00:13:21.360
We do that.
00:13:21.600 --> 00:13:22.559
Like, don't that make sense?
00:13:22.639 --> 00:13:26.480
But I'm just again, I'm just being very honest because we do that.
00:13:26.639 --> 00:13:28.720
I know I can't be the only person that just done that.
00:13:30.480 --> 00:13:32.799
I'm gonna pray a couple more times and not do it.
00:13:33.919 --> 00:13:46.240
But the the key thing about it is just having your faith aligned within Christ and knowing and understanding that He wants us to come to Him with every aspect of life, the stuff you don't feel comfortable talking to Him about.
00:13:46.399 --> 00:13:47.919
I learned to talk to him about it.
00:13:48.240 --> 00:13:48.480
Why?
00:13:48.559 --> 00:13:52.799
Because He said all aspects, not just the parts and pieces we want to.
00:13:52.960 --> 00:13:56.000
So even like now with the repent thing, I've talked to him about that too.
00:13:56.080 --> 00:13:58.639
I said, Lord, I know I gotta change that.
00:13:59.440 --> 00:14:01.200
Please help me get better with this.
00:14:01.919 --> 00:14:08.080
Help me with everything that I know I'm struggling with, the things that I may not even know that I'm dealing with that is not aligned.
00:14:08.960 --> 00:14:11.360
Clear that stuff out so that I can be in one of a core.
00:14:11.519 --> 00:14:15.039
Because I do not want to go before him and he says, Who are you?
00:14:15.120 --> 00:14:15.919
Depart from me.
00:14:16.559 --> 00:14:21.519
See, I ain't focused on this life no more, like I used to be worried, like worry about the kick and the turn about uh-uh.
00:14:21.759 --> 00:14:23.120
Eternal life is a lot longer.
00:14:23.200 --> 00:14:27.039
So I'm gonna ask y'all out there, which one matters more to you, this life or eternal life?
00:14:27.200 --> 00:14:27.519
Amen.
00:14:27.919 --> 00:14:41.440
I'm gonna say what is the hope that uh my pastor always said, well, he didn't always say it, but he uh said this uh in a uh sermon a couple of years ago that really, really hit me.
00:14:41.759 --> 00:14:44.320
We are living in eternity now.
00:14:44.879 --> 00:14:47.679
Because we as believers, we won't ever die.
00:14:48.720 --> 00:14:53.360
But the key is what Rich said last week.
00:14:54.320 --> 00:15:05.120
The last time we was in the studio, what uh I can't remember what uh podcast it was, it's the beginning, the dash, and the ending.
00:15:05.440 --> 00:15:10.559
What are you doing to end for eternity?
00:15:11.519 --> 00:15:18.639
And the piggyback off of you, what you said, not dog not going off on you because I'm guilty of it too.
00:15:18.960 --> 00:15:31.840
We can take those sins that we are living in, that we love to do, admit it, you don't want to give it up, but who's to say that God is gonna bless you to live till tomorrow to get it right?
00:15:33.519 --> 00:15:34.240
That's the key.
00:15:34.320 --> 00:15:39.200
We have to be aware that God can take you in an instant.
00:15:39.759 --> 00:15:41.200
We don't have to be sick.
00:15:42.000 --> 00:15:47.519
We don't have to talk about trust as well.
00:15:48.960 --> 00:15:58.320
Hoping and I'm talking about hoping for something good because people can hope that you hurt yourself or lose your job, and you know, that's evil.
00:15:58.639 --> 00:16:06.159
But we're hoping for the right thing, and that's you know, to live eternally, like you said, in the end with with Christ.
00:16:06.480 --> 00:16:08.639
And uh but we have to trust his word.
00:16:09.279 --> 00:16:23.519
And when I thought about that, John 14, it says too that in my father's house there are many mansions, or some some platforms or or what would you call them, the different prints, it says rooms.
00:16:24.000 --> 00:16:26.639
But in my father's house, there are many mansions.
00:16:26.960 --> 00:16:29.440
And if it wasn't so, I wouldn't have told you.
00:16:30.000 --> 00:16:32.480
He said, I go away to prepare a place for you.
00:16:32.639 --> 00:16:34.399
So that's the hope that we have.
00:16:35.120 --> 00:16:36.639
That's what keeps me in line.
00:16:37.120 --> 00:16:37.759
You know what I'm saying?
00:16:37.919 --> 00:16:49.759
Lord, I gave my life to you, so you know, I I I I want to say this to this person, or I want to do this or that, you know, in my sin, but I I uh you're not gonna be pleased with that.
00:16:49.840 --> 00:16:52.080
So I have to be conscious of his word.
00:16:52.320 --> 00:16:55.120
I have to trust his word that he said it.
00:16:55.360 --> 00:16:57.440
I went away to prepare a place for you.
00:16:57.919 --> 00:16:59.279
That's almost personal.
00:16:59.519 --> 00:17:00.240
I look at it.
00:17:00.480 --> 00:17:02.159
So I don't want to disappoint you, God.
00:17:02.320 --> 00:17:04.559
Yes, you know, and no, and no means.
00:17:04.640 --> 00:17:07.119
So you make me right because I can't get right on my own.
00:17:07.359 --> 00:17:13.279
That's a good way of looking at it because I just like that boy said, What that moving angle life can't get right.
00:17:13.440 --> 00:17:19.519
Yeah, I can't because I know no, I don't.
00:17:19.759 --> 00:17:25.279
It it takes God, and so trusting his word, boy, that's it brings us so much hope.
00:17:25.680 --> 00:17:28.079
You know, and peace too.
00:17:28.400 --> 00:17:28.799
Yeah.
00:17:32.799 --> 00:17:39.839
When I um looked at this topic, uh it said the hope we have.
00:17:40.319 --> 00:17:44.000
And it went on to say, trust in Jesus in every season.
00:17:44.480 --> 00:17:53.440
And that that meant a lot because when I uh the first definition that popped up, it was the first word that stuck out to me.
00:17:54.079 --> 00:17:59.839
Uh so being anchored, you know, I'm like anchored.
00:18:00.319 --> 00:18:04.559
Like, wow, that's um that's heavy in itself.
00:18:04.799 --> 00:18:05.039
Yes.
00:18:05.279 --> 00:18:09.039
When you think about the hope we have and trusting Jesus in every season.
00:18:09.279 --> 00:18:17.680
It says being anchored in his unchanging character and constant presence, providing steadfast peace regardless of change and circumstances.
00:18:18.000 --> 00:18:33.119
It says, regardless of change and circumstances, because we know life naturally moves through high highs and low lows from seasons of joy and abundance of periods of waiting, trial and sorrow.
00:18:33.440 --> 00:18:33.839
That's right.
00:18:34.079 --> 00:18:38.960
Trusting Christ transforms how we experience these shifts.
00:18:39.200 --> 00:18:50.480
Um, and then it went on to talk about uh how God's unfailing consistency because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.
00:18:51.200 --> 00:18:53.839
And you can read up on that in Hebrews 13 and 8.
00:18:55.200 --> 00:19:03.519
So our hope is not tied to fluctuating external situation, but to his permanent faithfulness.
00:19:03.920 --> 00:19:09.599
It goes on to talk about deepen uh how we can have deepened roots with Christ.
00:19:10.319 --> 00:19:23.119
Like a tree planted by the water that does not fear the heat, depending on him, provides soul level stability and resilience during long, dry, or different difficult stretches.
00:19:23.599 --> 00:19:24.720
That was a song, wasn't it?
00:19:24.799 --> 00:19:30.240
Yeah, just like a tree that's planted by the water.
00:19:32.720 --> 00:19:34.640
I was thinking about the anchor, too.
00:19:37.519 --> 00:19:38.880
I used to love that song.
00:19:39.119 --> 00:19:40.160
You said a pun too.
00:19:41.039 --> 00:19:41.759
You said a lot of weight.
00:19:41.920 --> 00:19:44.319
I said you try to say that pun on purpose or accident.
00:19:45.200 --> 00:19:45.839
Accident.
00:19:46.079 --> 00:20:04.480
And it goes to speak about purposeful transitions, meaning, uh, excuse me, embracing the present season, whether active or waiting, allows us to trust that God wastes nothing and works quietly behind the scenes for our ultimate good and redemption.
00:20:05.279 --> 00:20:08.799
And it goes on to speak of a secure refuge.
00:20:09.039 --> 00:20:23.119
Christ as a secure refuge, also turning to prayer and scripture allows us to lay down anxiety, knowing we are fully seen, known, and held by God who acts as our strength and refuge.
00:20:24.319 --> 00:20:28.880
And a Bible character uh that popped up was Joseph.
00:20:29.599 --> 00:20:45.039
He maintained unswerving, as it says, unswerving, trusting seasons of betrayal by his brothers, wrongful enslavement and imprisonment, eventually recognizing God's sovereign provenance.
00:20:45.200 --> 00:20:45.920
That's beautiful.
00:20:46.240 --> 00:20:50.000
When elevated in Egypt, it says unswerving.
00:20:50.079 --> 00:20:50.799
Unswerving.
00:20:50.960 --> 00:20:55.039
I said, oh wow, I didn't even know she unswerving.
00:20:55.279 --> 00:20:56.559
Oh, Jesus.
00:20:57.200 --> 00:20:59.519
Put that in the back of the middle roller decks.
00:20:59.759 --> 00:21:00.880
Unswerving.
00:21:01.440 --> 00:21:02.319
That's a good one.
00:21:02.400 --> 00:21:03.440
That's a good one, though.
00:21:03.519 --> 00:21:03.680
Yeah.
00:21:03.920 --> 00:21:05.039
That's a good one.
00:21:05.759 --> 00:21:07.839
I like when y'all said actively.
00:21:08.960 --> 00:21:13.920
See, hope is just not, once again, with your legs crossed, you gotta actively be doing something.
00:21:15.039 --> 00:21:16.000
You know what I'm saying?
00:21:16.400 --> 00:21:19.359
Hope is not a noun, it's a verb.
00:21:21.200 --> 00:21:23.200
And oh, I had a scripture lost.
00:21:26.240 --> 00:21:26.400
Okay.
00:21:28.000 --> 00:21:29.680
Romans 8 and 24.
00:21:29.759 --> 00:21:34.079
It says, Hope that is seen is not hope.
00:21:34.880 --> 00:21:36.319
So we don't see it, right?
00:21:36.559 --> 00:21:37.119
That's right.
00:21:38.160 --> 00:21:41.200
For who hopes for what he sees?
00:21:41.359 --> 00:21:42.400
Who do who does that?
00:21:42.720 --> 00:21:44.000
Who hopes for what he sees?
00:21:44.079 --> 00:21:46.400
You don't see it, but we believe it.
00:21:47.200 --> 00:21:49.759
But that's what Romans 8 and 24 says.
00:21:50.000 --> 00:21:52.559
Uh hope that is seen is not hope.
00:21:53.279 --> 00:21:59.599
I I like how they say that because we're trusting, once again, we're trusting that that Jesus went away to.
00:22:00.160 --> 00:22:01.119
Prepare a place for us.
00:22:01.200 --> 00:22:01.920
We don't see it.
00:22:02.720 --> 00:22:04.880
You know, that's where the trusting comes in.
00:22:04.960 --> 00:22:06.640
So hope that is seen.
00:22:06.799 --> 00:22:07.759
How do you see hope?
00:22:08.720 --> 00:22:09.759
That's what I want to know.
00:22:10.480 --> 00:22:12.000
That's why I said faith and hope of life.
00:22:17.599 --> 00:22:18.319
That's awesome.
00:22:19.119 --> 00:22:32.079
I know we're cutting short on time, but I wanted to go into uh just you all can add live, uh, what hope gives us because a lot of times the people get down on a hope.
00:22:32.960 --> 00:22:38.400
Oh Lord, I hope it no hope is uh uh upward word.
00:22:38.960 --> 00:22:41.200
You have to be positive about it.
00:22:41.359 --> 00:22:48.319
Uh hope gives us spiritual stability, it keeps believers, uh keeps us steady when life gets hard.
00:22:48.480 --> 00:22:49.279
Thank you, Jesus.
00:22:49.839 --> 00:22:56.720
Uh like Rich said, it's the anchor that keeps us from drifting from fear or discouragement.
00:22:57.359 --> 00:22:59.759
And it gives us the strength to endure.
00:22:59.920 --> 00:23:00.720
Thank you, Lord.
00:23:01.359 --> 00:23:08.160
Hope reminds us that suffering is only temporary and God's promises are eternal.
00:23:08.319 --> 00:23:09.119
Yes, they are.
00:23:09.279 --> 00:23:14.160
Uh hope uh teaches us, uh gives us identity and purpose.
00:23:14.960 --> 00:23:19.839
Don't think that you are here without having a purpose for your life.
00:23:20.400 --> 00:23:27.920
Uh hope teaches us to uh who are who we are in Christ and where our story is headed.
00:23:28.400 --> 00:23:34.319
I never would have thought that I would be uh drawn to young women.
00:23:34.559 --> 00:23:50.559
Um and this that resonated with me because I you never know what God has called you to do until you start walking in your obedience, and then God will reveal to you what your calling or your purpose is.
00:23:50.720 --> 00:23:55.039
So don't think that you don't have nothing to do for the body of Christ.
00:23:55.519 --> 00:23:57.759
Uh, it gives you joy in trials.
00:23:57.839 --> 00:23:58.480
Thank you, Jesus.
00:23:59.200 --> 00:24:08.319
There's have you ever seen uh some Christians that believers that they are they are joyous even though they've gone through a rough time?
00:24:08.960 --> 00:24:14.079
I want to be like that, you know, because right now I'm missing my my God brother.
00:24:14.240 --> 00:24:15.680
Uh I'm gonna be honest with you.
00:24:15.839 --> 00:24:26.480
I cried, I woke up crying about him yesterday because he normally would call me and sing that crazy way of singing uh happy birthday to me.
00:24:26.640 --> 00:24:30.960
You know, I'm like, and he goes down to happy birthday.
00:24:31.200 --> 00:24:33.440
I could I could hear Kenny.
00:24:33.759 --> 00:24:35.119
I'm talking about Kenny.
00:24:35.200 --> 00:24:50.160
Uh he is our uh forever eternal number five panelist in the studio, but I miss him and I I still have joy in knowing that he wouldn't even want to sing to me right now.
00:24:50.480 --> 00:24:52.559
He is praising God, you know?
00:24:54.240 --> 00:24:55.759
Hope is a light.
00:24:56.319 --> 00:25:03.279
It helps you when you see light, see life as being dark in those depressing moments.
00:25:03.359 --> 00:25:20.480
And I pray in the name of Jesus, whoever is experiencing uh loss or any kind of uh any kind of loss, a loss of relationship, loss, loss of job, or whatever loss it is, that God will continue to give you that hope.
00:25:20.640 --> 00:25:22.799
Uh hope as a promise.
00:25:22.960 --> 00:25:26.160
It reminds you God never breaks his word.
00:25:27.920 --> 00:25:29.839
He never breaks his word.
00:25:32.160 --> 00:25:33.359
I thank you.
00:25:34.960 --> 00:25:43.519
Man, I was thinking about uh Paul and Silas praised and saying hymns to God when they was in prison.
00:25:44.160 --> 00:25:49.599
Yes, you know, and Isaiah 41 and 10 says, Fear not, for I am with you.
00:25:50.000 --> 00:25:52.079
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
00:25:52.400 --> 00:25:58.559
I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
00:25:59.519 --> 00:26:06.720
So man, some of those people that like even those people behind bars, you know, uh there's still hope.
00:26:07.200 --> 00:26:10.319
You know, and we learned that from Paul and Silas.
00:26:12.720 --> 00:26:13.359
That's true.
00:26:14.000 --> 00:26:16.720
There's a lot of Bible verses on on this topic.
00:26:17.119 --> 00:26:19.359
Um I'm gonna just add a couple more.
00:26:20.160 --> 00:26:22.480
Uh Titus 2 and 13.
00:26:23.839 --> 00:26:25.359
Looking for that blessed hope.
00:26:26.400 --> 00:26:31.359
And that glorious appearance of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.
00:26:32.160 --> 00:26:34.960
Um Jeremiah 29 and 11.
00:26:35.839 --> 00:26:37.839
For I know the plans I have for you.
00:26:38.000 --> 00:26:39.680
Yes, declares the Lord.
00:26:40.240 --> 00:26:47.039
Plans for welfare and not for evil to give you a future and hope.
00:26:47.920 --> 00:26:49.759
So this is all about encouraging.
00:26:49.839 --> 00:26:58.799
I again, I know we discussed, and even through that, that's not a like a negative or derogatory thing of what we discussed our previous podcast.
00:26:58.960 --> 00:27:01.359
But it's like my mom said, they're perfectly aligned.
00:27:02.160 --> 00:27:05.920
Because hope is something that you need to get through that.
00:27:06.319 --> 00:27:06.880
That's right.
00:27:07.200 --> 00:27:15.359
That's the key part to even getting past and to be able to move forward in life through those different times.
00:27:15.759 --> 00:27:23.039
It's your hope that God and and understanding that God is gonna help you through it to where you're not gonna be where you were before.
00:27:23.279 --> 00:27:24.319
You're gonna be a new creature.
00:27:24.720 --> 00:27:25.839
You're gonna be a new person.
00:27:26.000 --> 00:27:26.160
Yeah.
00:27:26.720 --> 00:27:36.240
And honestly, when I rededicated myself to Christ, it was like a, it was almost like just a view of life from a whole different perspective.
00:27:36.799 --> 00:27:44.240
And it was more so what we discussed in earlier, seeing things not only through my fleshly, worldly eyes, but through spiritual eyes.
00:27:44.799 --> 00:27:51.599
It gave me, gave me totally different perspective on how I think about things, how I look at people, and how I view things now.
00:27:51.920 --> 00:28:00.319
Because before, I used to be so quick to like uh angry if I get offended, or if I felt you tried me, or candid me sideways, I gotta one-up you.
00:28:00.559 --> 00:28:03.119
But like now, I don't even feel the urge.
00:28:03.359 --> 00:28:03.599
Amen.
00:28:04.000 --> 00:28:06.160
If anything, I say, you know what, I pray for you.
00:28:06.960 --> 00:28:13.759
Because the one thing with me is once you find your peace, which you said long time ago, I didn't realize how deep that hit me.
00:28:14.640 --> 00:28:17.279
It's one thing you said the key to you is keeping your peace.
00:28:17.359 --> 00:28:17.519
Yeah.
00:28:17.759 --> 00:28:19.359
And that was years ago you said that.
00:28:19.839 --> 00:28:24.720
But it resonated with me because I was allowing peace disturbance within my life.
00:28:25.279 --> 00:28:28.240
I was inviting the enemy in, not even knowingly.
00:28:28.400 --> 00:28:28.559
Yeah.
00:28:28.720 --> 00:28:39.440
And see, what through this, the prayers and opening my spiritualized and growing in my word, it starts helping you, for one, yeah, to weed out them people and naturally God gonna weed them out anyway.
00:28:40.079 --> 00:28:40.400
Absolutely.
00:28:40.720 --> 00:28:58.319
That's why it's pertinent that we do go through a time of isolation for self-reflection and self-growth within this walk, or else otherwise you can get distracted, detoured, or get led astray, a backslide and double backslide, and which is the key thing that causes burdens and makes your life go backwards.
00:28:58.480 --> 00:29:04.880
So the main thing is focusing on Christ growing in his way, being as righteous as possible, and definitely being obedient.
00:29:05.119 --> 00:29:07.519
But sometimes it ain't comfortable being obedient.
00:29:07.680 --> 00:29:15.440
Because it's been a couple of times, like until I got I grew strong in my prayer, and I had got a better understanding of before.
00:29:15.599 --> 00:29:17.680
I say, I'm I'ma pray for you.
00:29:18.319 --> 00:29:19.519
Didn't do it then.
00:29:19.599 --> 00:29:22.000
Like I just knew I had later to do it.
00:29:23.039 --> 00:29:24.400
That's what started hitting me.
00:29:24.960 --> 00:29:26.480
You don't know if you got later.
00:29:26.559 --> 00:29:27.920
You don't know if you got the next second.
00:29:28.880 --> 00:29:34.000
After you say it and you didn't do it, you could be walking to your car and God say, Come home.
00:29:34.240 --> 00:29:35.279
Come home, that's right.
00:29:35.680 --> 00:29:40.640
Just understanding that gave me different perspective and view on everything.
00:29:40.799 --> 00:29:45.279
And it and through it all, that's what hope was the big part of it.
00:29:45.519 --> 00:29:54.559
Because my faith and hope and God standing on every word he said, and even when I tried him in it, like you ain't gonna do that for real.
00:29:54.799 --> 00:29:56.319
Every time he came through.
00:29:56.799 --> 00:30:00.640
He like, all you thought I was playing was I said, I made that approach, you thought I was playing, huh?
00:30:00.880 --> 00:30:03.359
He's like, nah, I stand on what I say.
00:30:03.599 --> 00:30:04.960
And I mean what I say.
00:30:05.200 --> 00:30:06.400
He's a man of his words.
00:30:06.640 --> 00:30:13.839
And once you actually truly understand that, that he says, leave it at my feet and move forward.
00:30:13.920 --> 00:30:20.880
This is my word, they ain't just technical wording, but leave it at my leave your birds at my feet and then move forward.
00:30:21.039 --> 00:30:21.200
Yeah.
00:30:21.680 --> 00:30:25.200
Once I started literally doing that, everything changed.
00:30:25.759 --> 00:30:28.559
Perspective, life, yes, things happen.
00:30:28.720 --> 00:30:32.559
But when they do happen, I got faith knowing that he's gonna take care of it and he got me.
00:30:32.880 --> 00:30:35.200
As long as I'm continuously standing in alignment.
00:30:35.359 --> 00:30:38.319
Because before things happen, I'm like, man, I know I ain't living right.
00:30:38.480 --> 00:30:39.759
So it was a reason for it.
00:30:40.160 --> 00:30:42.480
He's not gonna bless you when you're living wrong.
00:30:42.799 --> 00:30:44.559
And you knowingly living wrong.
00:30:44.880 --> 00:30:46.160
He's not gonna bless you through that.
00:30:46.240 --> 00:30:48.960
It seemed like it's him, but the enemy can bless you too.
00:30:51.920 --> 00:30:54.720
I want to go into how hope can strengthen.
00:30:54.799 --> 00:31:03.519
I uh it's labeled uh strengthens a new believer, but I believe all believers can be strengthened through this way of hope.
00:31:03.599 --> 00:31:06.160
Uh it gives you a spiritual confidence.
00:31:06.400 --> 00:31:16.240
Hope assures the new believer, I'm gonna say the believers, that God has truly begun a good work in them and will finish it.
00:31:16.880 --> 00:31:25.039
This confidence, it helps them trust God even when they don't when you don't yet understand about faith.
00:31:26.079 --> 00:31:28.799
You're right, Crystal, he ain't gonna bless the mess.
00:31:30.160 --> 00:31:30.640
Yeah.
00:31:32.400 --> 00:31:38.480
It gives you an uh totally different identity in Christ that you you understand.
00:31:38.960 --> 00:31:45.039
Hope reminds us that we are forgiven, loved, and accepted.
00:31:45.519 --> 00:31:57.279
It quiets the old voices of shame, like what we talked about last uh podcast, and teaches us to see ourselves the way God sees us.
00:31:57.599 --> 00:32:04.160
A lot of time we are walking in brokenness and we don't see ourselves the way God sees us.
00:32:04.400 --> 00:32:08.000
We are perfect, God loves us no matter what.
00:32:08.480 --> 00:32:12.160
Ain't nothing you can do to make God not love you.
00:32:12.480 --> 00:32:15.119
That's the difference in being human.
00:32:15.440 --> 00:32:21.440
That's why you always have to look through, see life through spiritual eyes.
00:32:21.759 --> 00:32:27.839
Because if you you can't turn them back, can you turn back on your spiritual eyes?
00:32:28.559 --> 00:32:29.359
Turn them back.
00:32:29.920 --> 00:32:33.440
You know, I mean, like go well, go back to the worldly eyes.
00:32:33.599 --> 00:32:34.319
Yeah, you can't do it.
00:32:34.720 --> 00:32:38.559
I think if you choose to go backwards in your life, you choose to denounce it.
00:32:38.799 --> 00:32:39.680
I don't think you can give it back.
00:32:40.480 --> 00:32:40.880
Yeah, yeah.
00:32:41.519 --> 00:32:42.480
I don't think you can give it back.
00:32:42.720 --> 00:32:46.480
I think you can choose to allow them to go dormant, yeah.
00:32:46.799 --> 00:32:47.920
Or not even use them.
00:32:48.480 --> 00:32:50.000
Put your blinders up to use them.
00:32:50.240 --> 00:32:51.200
Yeah, and it's not safe.
00:32:51.279 --> 00:32:51.839
That's not good.
00:32:52.720 --> 00:32:54.319
I wouldn't, I would never advise that one.
00:32:54.799 --> 00:32:55.119
Don't do that.
00:32:55.440 --> 00:32:59.279
That's not do that.
00:32:59.759 --> 00:33:01.680
No pot at the end of that rainbow.
00:33:02.559 --> 00:33:06.720
Uh hope helps us endure in trials.
00:33:07.440 --> 00:33:13.920
Uh, believers, we face spiritual attacks, doubts, or pushbacks from others.
00:33:14.559 --> 00:33:16.240
Who you think you all that?
00:33:16.720 --> 00:33:20.319
Just because you saved now, you holier than now.
00:33:21.359 --> 00:33:23.759
I heard somebody say that I was holier than now.
00:33:23.920 --> 00:33:26.559
I'm like, they don't know me.
00:33:26.799 --> 00:33:27.279
You know me.
00:33:28.400 --> 00:33:29.519
They don't know thou either.
00:33:29.680 --> 00:33:30.559
They don't know thou.
00:33:32.640 --> 00:33:35.519
That's still uh judging me from my old address, too.
00:33:36.640 --> 00:33:37.519
You see what I'm saying?
00:33:38.160 --> 00:33:44.400
You can only say that if you had per se things to compare it to.
00:33:44.559 --> 00:33:46.640
So you're comparing it to my old self.
00:33:46.720 --> 00:33:49.359
Yeah, my old address where I don't live no more.
00:33:49.759 --> 00:33:54.880
Yeah, and and because you wouldn't make a statement if you knew the the new creation.
00:33:55.279 --> 00:34:07.119
Well, those people are comparing the old you to the new creation, and they don't know the new creation because they haven't really experienced it, because they're afraid of being a new creation themselves, I think.
00:34:07.279 --> 00:34:08.239
I could be totally wrong.
00:34:08.559 --> 00:34:10.639
People I know be like, ooh, but Mama June, never.
00:34:10.800 --> 00:34:11.599
I was like, what?
00:34:12.000 --> 00:34:12.960
You don't know her?
00:34:13.119 --> 00:34:15.199
Not the old her, you know the new her, not the old her.
00:34:15.440 --> 00:34:20.400
Like, she could never pots and pans getting thrown across the room with you.
00:34:22.079 --> 00:34:22.880
Ask for it.
00:34:23.039 --> 00:34:27.360
No, it ain't like they didn't ask him to be throwing pots and pans and plates.
00:34:31.760 --> 00:34:33.360
That's the only image they see.
00:34:33.840 --> 00:34:34.159
Right.
00:34:34.320 --> 00:34:37.519
So they they have an inkling of what who thou is.
00:34:37.760 --> 00:34:39.440
You mess me up with that gun.
00:34:39.679 --> 00:34:40.159
No, the for real.
00:34:40.639 --> 00:34:44.559
They have an image, they have some type of inkling who thou is.
00:34:44.800 --> 00:34:45.199
That's good.
00:34:45.679 --> 00:34:47.199
So they ain't in the dark.
00:34:47.679 --> 00:34:48.639
You see what I'm saying?
00:34:48.719 --> 00:34:50.480
But they just saying it out of envy.
00:34:50.960 --> 00:34:55.360
I sure do hate it because I'm inviting everybody to love Jesus like I do.
00:34:55.440 --> 00:34:55.760
That's it.
00:34:56.320 --> 00:35:03.280
If you walk in Christ like I'm walking, all of us have changed.
00:35:03.519 --> 00:35:03.760
That's it.
00:35:04.159 --> 00:35:06.400
But you know, um Hallelujah.
00:35:06.480 --> 00:35:11.760
Yes, there's nothing like you said that Rich told cop you.
00:35:11.920 --> 00:35:13.280
There's nothing like peace.
00:35:13.519 --> 00:35:14.639
Peace, peace, yes.
00:35:15.199 --> 00:35:24.400
And people that um that are not walking in the peace that surpasses all understanding, they're not, they not, they don't understand.
00:35:24.559 --> 00:35:26.000
They can't understand.
00:35:26.159 --> 00:35:29.280
Even though you're going through stuff, you still have peace.
00:35:29.920 --> 00:35:33.360
Because you have the hope and knowing God is gonna take care of it.
00:35:33.519 --> 00:35:33.840
Yes, right.
00:35:34.159 --> 00:35:36.639
Even if He don't take care of it, guess what?
00:35:36.800 --> 00:35:38.559
I'm happy with Jesus alone.
00:35:39.360 --> 00:35:44.559
Yeah, Crystal said also people like to keep you where they knew you were at.
00:35:44.719 --> 00:35:45.360
Yep, that's true.
00:35:46.480 --> 00:35:49.119
Yeah, she said that was me, but this is me now.
00:35:49.280 --> 00:35:50.480
Hey, thank you, Lord.
00:35:51.679 --> 00:35:52.880
Yeah, it's the truth.
00:35:53.119 --> 00:35:58.880
But and people, I really hate that because my desire.
00:35:59.199 --> 00:36:00.000
I highly dislike.
00:36:03.679 --> 00:36:09.840
I my desire is that everybody come to know Jesus like we do.
00:36:10.639 --> 00:36:12.000
That's my desire.
00:36:12.639 --> 00:36:17.760
Because once you do, you will say, dang, I get it now.
00:36:18.400 --> 00:36:24.159
You know, and it's it's fear that's keeping people in that rut.
00:36:24.400 --> 00:36:30.960
Um but it hope gives you joy in everyday life.
00:36:32.239 --> 00:36:35.440
People be like, Why you be singing so much and acting?
00:36:35.519 --> 00:36:39.920
Yeah, I be walking around singing church music at work.
00:36:40.239 --> 00:36:42.079
I know I my voice be echoing.
00:36:42.400 --> 00:36:43.280
I love it.
00:36:45.679 --> 00:36:46.719
I'm now the halls.
00:36:46.880 --> 00:36:48.559
Oh, yeah, I hit them.
00:36:48.639 --> 00:36:49.280
I hit them.
00:36:49.599 --> 00:37:00.000
Especially when I'm knowing I'm sounding good with that, and somebody don't mess around and let somebody say you can sing, June, but oh I was singing to Antoine.
00:37:00.079 --> 00:37:03.840
I sang to him every I tried to sing a song to him every time.
00:37:03.920 --> 00:37:09.360
He would text me, and I was like, I'm drinking coffee.
00:37:16.480 --> 00:37:17.920
I think we about run out of time now.
00:37:20.159 --> 00:37:27.039
But I want to uh and lastly, uh hope gives you motivation to grow.
00:37:27.440 --> 00:37:28.239
Yes, it does.
00:37:28.719 --> 00:37:38.000
It gives you the hope fuels the desire to pray, read scripture as well as learn, family.
00:37:38.320 --> 00:37:46.320
It keeps you from being hungry for God because you believe He has more for you anyway.
00:37:48.239 --> 00:37:50.320
Oh boy, this was so good.
00:37:54.639 --> 00:37:57.199
Bishop uses like this dry erase board.
00:37:57.920 --> 00:38:04.320
So the armor bearer normally put it up, and I'm like, man, the Bishop board ain't up.
00:38:04.559 --> 00:38:07.920
So I look for the armor bearer, so he had an injury.
00:38:08.320 --> 00:38:09.760
So he gave me the nye.
00:38:09.840 --> 00:38:12.239
I said, Man, you finally gave me the nigh.
00:38:13.039 --> 00:38:16.880
Because I tell, you know, armor bearer, I'm I'm just filling in spots.
00:38:17.039 --> 00:38:17.360
Right, right.
00:38:17.679 --> 00:38:19.039
You know, so I go get the board set up.
00:38:19.760 --> 00:38:23.360
He had two words on there: insurance and usurance.
00:38:23.760 --> 00:38:24.159
Wow.
00:38:24.480 --> 00:38:30.000
And I and I know it was probably from the week prior where I was sick and didn't get to go to Bible study then.
00:38:30.239 --> 00:38:35.519
So I'm gonna ask him next time I see it, okay, Bishop, what what were you saying about these two words?
00:38:35.760 --> 00:38:37.440
Insurance and assurance.
00:38:37.599 --> 00:38:41.519
Because that kind of stuck out with me as y'all were going and talking about hope.
00:38:41.760 --> 00:38:43.440
So yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna ask him next time.
00:38:43.920 --> 00:38:46.159
What did you mean by insurance and assurance?
00:38:46.320 --> 00:38:49.840
Because he's been on a praise God.
00:38:50.480 --> 00:39:03.199
I think all called pastors or leadership, they are on one because they know they know because God they I I don't I'm not gonna say they have a special connection with God.
00:39:03.280 --> 00:39:17.840
That would be a lie, because we all have our own personal uh connection with God, but those that are in leadership that really and truly have a heart for God's people, they are in a different realm now.
00:39:18.800 --> 00:39:33.280
Because uh my pastor is on one too, and I'm like, man, I can't wait to hear what he got to say this week, you know, because when your leaders are on one, it keeps you on one.
00:39:33.760 --> 00:39:54.480
Follow him as he follows Christ, even though we have our own path, but when you get under good leadership like that, you're growing, it's a blessing because everybody, there's so many pastors and leaders out here that are feeding the flocks a mess, and they leading them to hell.
00:39:54.719 --> 00:39:56.239
A lot of them ain't feeding them at all.
00:39:56.480 --> 00:39:57.519
Yeah, that's true.
00:39:58.960 --> 00:40:02.320
And no, Keisha, that's not you can't tell her that it's a hereditary.
00:40:03.599 --> 00:40:03.840
Yeah.
00:40:04.320 --> 00:40:06.000
He thinks he can sing, but I got him.
00:40:07.280 --> 00:40:09.199
No, she's saying that I get it from you.
00:40:09.440 --> 00:40:10.320
Oh, okay.
00:40:10.480 --> 00:40:11.920
Yeah, yeah, he be singing.
00:40:12.320 --> 00:40:15.199
I can see that singing a lot.
00:40:16.559 --> 00:40:19.679
You make it a brand of song that's every now and then.
00:40:23.840 --> 00:40:26.320
Y'all know that's all them in the heart of the video.
00:40:26.559 --> 00:40:28.480
I just did the last episode of the time.
00:40:30.079 --> 00:40:30.320
Yeah.
00:40:30.639 --> 00:40:31.760
You said ain't that the song?
00:40:31.920 --> 00:40:33.360
And then y'all started singing.
00:40:36.400 --> 00:40:37.199
I love it.
00:40:37.440 --> 00:40:38.639
We did that corner.
00:40:39.039 --> 00:40:39.519
Yeah.
00:40:41.119 --> 00:40:41.599
Shoot.
00:40:41.760 --> 00:40:48.159
I'm I'm I'm just thanking, praising God for this podcast, and thank you, ladies, for joining us.
00:40:48.480 --> 00:40:48.719
Thank you.
00:40:49.599 --> 00:41:03.760
Thank you so much because uh we, you don't know that we feed off of you all's comments, too, because you bring substance to this podcast for those that might be uh listening on the audio.
00:41:04.000 --> 00:41:12.000
That's why we encourage you to say what's on your mind to uh uh to help us feed the kingdom.
00:41:12.159 --> 00:41:25.440
Yeah, because when we read them, it's because we want those that listen to us only on audio, because I know quite a few people that listen to us but don't watch us on YouTube or watch us on Facebook.
00:41:25.679 --> 00:41:31.440
So uh that's why we encourage you to say, give us your feedback.
00:41:31.599 --> 00:41:36.400
Yeah, because uh people are they the streets is hot now.
00:41:39.840 --> 00:41:41.519
It is it's great you said that, Ma.
00:41:41.760 --> 00:41:47.440
I want to shout out my sister in Christ Maud last night when we were leaving High Praise Night.
00:41:47.519 --> 00:41:49.039
She said, You ready for the show tomorrow?
00:41:49.519 --> 00:41:50.719
And I was kind of stuck.
00:41:50.800 --> 00:41:57.679
I'm like, oh, she's talking about, and then my wife, like, yeah, baby, she she she be checking in on the Vent 101.
00:41:57.840 --> 00:41:58.159
What's I mean?
00:41:58.400 --> 00:41:59.440
So shout out to Maud.
00:41:59.840 --> 00:42:00.159
Maud.
00:42:00.639 --> 00:42:00.960
Maud.
00:42:01.440 --> 00:42:01.760
Maud.
00:42:02.159 --> 00:42:02.480
Maud.
00:42:04.559 --> 00:42:05.440
Appreciate, appreciate.
00:42:05.760 --> 00:42:06.639
Yeah, we dang.
00:42:08.559 --> 00:42:12.079
We love being in the studio, you know.
00:42:12.320 --> 00:42:18.559
And uh one of our engineers, Sam, made the statement, yeah, we know all everybody knows about Vent 101.
00:42:21.920 --> 00:42:24.400
Yeah, that's that's my one of my babies.
00:42:24.559 --> 00:42:27.360
All of all the engineers are my babies.
00:42:27.599 --> 00:42:30.159
But uh uh Rich, can you pray us out?
00:42:30.320 --> 00:42:32.320
We thank you for joining us.
00:42:32.960 --> 00:42:36.559
Dear most gracious Heavenly Father, we thank you for this opportunity.
00:42:36.800 --> 00:42:40.480
We thank you for your provision, we thank you for your finances.
00:42:40.800 --> 00:42:41.280
Yes, Jesus.
00:42:41.519 --> 00:42:49.599
We just thank you for being able to assemble here today and give tidbits out there to podcast land, as my brother would say.
00:42:49.840 --> 00:42:53.840
We hope someone uh gains some information that they can use.
00:42:54.079 --> 00:42:56.880
We hope that they put their hope in you, Father.
00:42:58.000 --> 00:42:59.360
We hope that they turn to you.
00:42:59.440 --> 00:43:03.280
We hope that somebody has been impacted by something we said today.
00:43:04.000 --> 00:43:09.920
If they picked up just a little bit, I'm I'm I'm just grateful to you for that, Father.
00:43:10.159 --> 00:43:15.280
Thank you for allowing your Holy Spirit to speak through us through these mics and these airways.
00:43:15.760 --> 00:43:18.639
Thank you for just watching over us as we traveled here.
00:43:18.800 --> 00:43:22.400
Yes, we ask that you watch over us as we travel back to our homes.
00:43:22.480 --> 00:43:28.079
Yes, we thank you for uh our main host, Mama June, our Godmother.
00:43:28.559 --> 00:43:30.639
We wish her the happiest of birthdays.
00:43:30.960 --> 00:43:31.119
Thank you.
00:43:31.280 --> 00:43:34.559
You know, and we ask that you give her the wants of her heart, Father.
00:43:34.719 --> 00:43:35.119
Yes, Lord.
00:43:35.199 --> 00:43:35.840
Thank you, Jesus.
00:43:36.000 --> 00:43:36.960
We pray for each other.
00:43:37.119 --> 00:43:41.360
We uh miss your brother Kenny, so we send a shout out to his wife, Tanil.
00:43:41.519 --> 00:43:42.880
We still love you and we pray for you.
00:43:44.400 --> 00:43:50.559
And we just want you to just keep continuously giving us topics and leading and guiding us everywhere.
00:43:51.119 --> 00:43:52.000
In the name of Jesus.
00:43:52.320 --> 00:43:54.480
We thank you for what you're doing in our lives, Father.
00:43:54.559 --> 00:43:58.079
We thank you for what you're doing, did, and we'll do in our lives, Father.
00:43:58.239 --> 00:44:01.679
We thank you for being the same yesterday, today, and forevermore, Father.
00:44:02.400 --> 00:44:07.119
We thank you for our sponsors, yes, we thank you for everyone that tunes in.
00:44:07.360 --> 00:44:15.039
Yes, we pray that you just keep on blessing us, Father, and we'll give you all the glory and all the honor in your sweet son, Jesus' name.
00:44:15.840 --> 00:44:16.079
Amen.
00:44:17.679 --> 00:44:18.000
Amen.
00:44:18.320 --> 00:44:19.039
Bless God.
00:44:19.519 --> 00:44:20.159
Yeah.
00:44:20.480 --> 00:44:25.760
We're looking forward to having you in the studio with your opinions, Crystal.
00:00:19.039 --> 00:00:23.039
I'm June Ryant, your host, and we welcome you to our podcast.
00:00:24.239 --> 00:00:34.719
Our vision is to win souls to Christ and to help those who know him by giving them a fresh new perspective on Christian living and reading God's word.
00:00:35.119 --> 00:00:46.159
Our mission is to biblically educate people while growing in their Christian walk by answering questions that they are uncomfortable to ask in a church-like setting.
00:00:46.560 --> 00:00:49.679
You can find us wherever you get your podcast.
00:00:50.079 --> 00:00:52.159
Please like and subscribe.
00:00:52.560 --> 00:01:02.880
You can also visit us on YouTube, Instagram, on our website, vent-101.com, where you can leave any questions or comments.
00:01:33.840 --> 00:01:36.719
Yeah, I'm back hosting boy.
00:01:41.680 --> 00:01:48.159
Next week's podcast is going to be uh woo gonna open up your nose with this.
00:01:48.719 --> 00:01:49.200
That's right.
00:01:49.439 --> 00:01:53.200
But I'm uh gonna let everybody introduce themselves.
00:01:53.840 --> 00:01:54.719
Hello, I'm Pat.
00:01:55.120 --> 00:01:56.159
Glad to be here.
00:01:56.239 --> 00:01:58.560
And hope you get something out of this today.
00:01:59.359 --> 00:02:00.239
And I'm Rich.
00:02:00.560 --> 00:02:03.120
Like, share, subscribe, bring 10 friends.
00:02:03.359 --> 00:02:03.840
All right.
00:02:04.640 --> 00:02:07.439
Hey, good morning and good day to everybody out there in the podcast line.
00:02:07.519 --> 00:02:08.319
This is Antoine.
00:02:08.400 --> 00:02:11.039
I hope everybody's having a blessed day and a good week so far.
00:02:11.599 --> 00:02:12.479
Hey man.
00:02:13.039 --> 00:02:16.319
Yeah, and uh I messed this up.
00:02:16.879 --> 00:02:17.759
It's okay.
00:02:18.479 --> 00:02:25.280
Uh this topic really is like a piggyback off of uh the last week's.
00:02:25.439 --> 00:02:33.120
This is for YouTube, but those of you that are on Facebook, this is uh kind of like a piggyback off of what Pat hosted.
00:02:33.280 --> 00:02:33.759
Thank you.
00:02:34.000 --> 00:02:34.800
That was so good.
00:02:35.439 --> 00:02:37.120
That was good and brokenness.
00:02:37.199 --> 00:02:38.960
Uh you all want to catch that.
00:02:39.120 --> 00:02:42.800
Don't skip over it if you are uh on uh YouTube.
00:02:43.039 --> 00:02:45.919
I'm I'm posting them on Instagram again.
00:02:46.319 --> 00:02:51.360
So if you all uh just just check out brokenness.
00:02:51.439 --> 00:02:54.879
You did a wonderful job on it, and it's really relevant.
00:02:55.120 --> 00:02:59.039
But today's topic is uh the hope we have.
00:02:59.199 --> 00:03:06.159
It's a piggyback off of being broken, because you have to know that we there is hope in Christ.
00:03:07.120 --> 00:03:09.680
You can overcome anything.
00:03:10.400 --> 00:03:16.800
Uh trusting Jesus in every season, the hope we have, trusting Jesus in every season.
00:03:16.960 --> 00:03:27.680
Now, during my research, I found that both the old and new testaments describe hope as confident expectation, not just wishful thinking.
00:03:28.719 --> 00:03:39.919
In the old testament, people look forward to God's future actions, uh, his expected deliverance being restored, as well as the coming of the Messiah.
00:03:40.080 --> 00:03:44.319
And they were also rooted in God's past faithfulness.
00:03:44.479 --> 00:03:54.400
Now, there are a couple of scriptures you can read, Isaiah 40, 31, and you can read uh Psalms 135 through 6.
00:03:55.039 --> 00:04:09.280
Now, in the New Testament, hope is centered on Jesus, uh, the Messiah who all has already come, looking forward to his return, the resurrection, and eternal life.
00:04:09.759 --> 00:04:17.360
Now, in both testaments, hope is active waiting, trust, and confidence in God's faithfulness.
00:04:17.600 --> 00:04:21.600
The main difference is what the people were hoping for.
00:04:22.720 --> 00:04:33.759
I'm encouraging you to read, uh, I'm with us being short on time, I'm encouraging you to read Hebrews 11 and 1 about the faith of things that are hoped for.
00:04:34.399 --> 00:04:37.839
And 1 Peter 1, 3 through 5.
00:04:38.399 --> 00:04:45.439
Now, believers often think of the word hope like, uh, I hope it's a sunny day today so we can have a picnic.
00:04:45.519 --> 00:04:49.680
Or I hope that my Rams win and Dallas loses the game.
00:04:52.720 --> 00:04:57.680
I hope that my dinner I'm fixing today turns out delicious.
00:04:57.920 --> 00:04:58.560
That's cold.
00:04:58.720 --> 00:05:01.279
Maybe a little blue.
00:05:03.120 --> 00:05:04.000
I hope they win everything.
00:05:06.160 --> 00:05:07.040
Whatever.
00:05:08.399 --> 00:05:23.040
Maybe a positive feeling or wishful thinking sounds a little better, but the Bible presents hope as a confident expectation that's rooted in God's promises as well as his character.
00:05:23.360 --> 00:05:31.439
These turn hope into assurance, giving us that lasting strength and transform lives.
00:05:32.160 --> 00:05:38.000
Hope doesn't just help us survive family, it teaches us how to expect God.
00:05:38.720 --> 00:05:42.639
Expectation is the soil where our faith grows.
00:05:43.120 --> 00:05:52.560
When we start expecting God to move, speak, guide, and transform, our spiritual lives will increase.
00:05:53.680 --> 00:06:04.800
Biblical hope is doing what is the steady confidence that God is who he says he is and will do what he said he would do.
00:06:05.600 --> 00:06:08.000
New believers uh need hope.
00:06:08.160 --> 00:06:17.519
They need it because uh it becomes the foundation of their faith, peace, perseverance, and their joy.
00:06:17.759 --> 00:06:27.439
Now, for the record family, before I turn it over to uh the co-host, uh for the record family, hope in the Bible is not wishful thinking, as I said.
00:06:27.680 --> 00:06:33.439
It's having confident expectations rooted in God's character.
00:06:33.600 --> 00:06:34.079
Yes, right.
00:06:34.639 --> 00:06:41.759
That's the core truth that all believers, new and seasoned, everybody, they need it.
00:06:42.000 --> 00:06:46.879
Hope is meant to be lived, not just believed.
00:06:47.439 --> 00:06:54.319
Now I'm gonna open it up uh for uh the panel, the uh co-host to give me what you got.
00:06:55.600 --> 00:06:57.040
I took all your verses.
00:06:57.600 --> 00:06:58.319
Oh no.
00:07:01.600 --> 00:07:04.639
I like how you broke down the old and the new testament ways.
00:07:04.800 --> 00:07:05.120
Yes, ma'am.
00:07:05.360 --> 00:07:06.560
Yeah, that's just beautiful.
00:07:06.800 --> 00:07:16.879
Yeah, the Israelites, they hoped well, actually, their reliance was on God, you know, uh, for protection and for provision.
00:07:17.040 --> 00:07:26.480
You know, they uh how they uh went over uh dry land, they was in the wilderness and everything, they was hungry and all this stuff.
00:07:26.800 --> 00:07:27.920
God provided for them.
00:07:28.079 --> 00:07:33.360
They trusted in God, they hoped that God would send them something, and he did, manna.
00:07:33.680 --> 00:07:35.600
And then uh wait a minute, what else?
00:07:35.920 --> 00:07:36.560
I don't forget.
00:07:36.879 --> 00:07:38.720
What was that, manna and what else?
00:07:39.040 --> 00:07:41.279
Then he had they had they had something to drink, didn't he?
00:07:44.079 --> 00:07:45.360
No, it was something quail.
00:07:46.079 --> 00:07:46.399
Quail.
00:07:46.800 --> 00:07:47.759
It was meat, quail.
00:07:50.000 --> 00:07:55.120
Yeah, they uh he provided for them quail and uh manna from from from Ohio.
00:07:55.360 --> 00:08:06.879
And so this is their reliance on God, you know, and protect me, you know, from my enemies and stuff when they went to war, you know, they always called on God, you know, to protect them and what have you.
00:08:07.199 --> 00:08:18.720
And so uh, but in the New Testament, now that hope is all the way different because uh Jesus came on the scene and he is the hope of the glory, our glory.
00:08:18.959 --> 00:08:20.240
And he is our hope.
00:08:20.879 --> 00:08:24.000
And I I just really like how you said it's the expectation.
00:08:24.160 --> 00:08:28.079
Yes, and it and then you you're active in the hope.
00:08:28.399 --> 00:08:31.759
Hope that you don't just sit there and cross your legs just waiting.
00:08:31.839 --> 00:08:33.919
And what what is our hope for?
00:08:34.559 --> 00:08:41.759
Our hope and I I kind of looked it up again about hope, but I came up with an acronym.
00:08:42.080 --> 00:08:47.200
Hope is holding out patiently until eternity.
00:08:47.759 --> 00:08:48.559
And that's what we're doing.
00:08:48.960 --> 00:08:49.200
That's good.
00:08:49.600 --> 00:08:54.080
That's what we're doing, holding out because things gonna happen while we're here, and I'm gonna leave that alone.
00:08:55.120 --> 00:08:56.159
Got to hold out.
00:08:59.679 --> 00:09:04.480
Um the only thing I would say with your definition, my yeah, I literally had the same thing.
00:09:04.639 --> 00:09:07.039
Only one word in mind was different.
00:09:08.000 --> 00:09:13.840
A confident and certain expectation rooted in Jesus Christ's resurrection and promise.
00:09:14.240 --> 00:09:14.399
Right.
00:09:15.840 --> 00:09:19.120
And the show took me first Peter 1 Peter 1 and 3.
00:09:20.000 --> 00:09:23.840
But I'm gonna read uh Romans chapter 5, 3 through 5.
00:09:24.720 --> 00:09:41.519
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience, and patience experience, and experience hope, and hope maketh not ashamed.
00:09:42.159 --> 00:09:49.519
Because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us.
00:09:50.799 --> 00:10:07.519
In Romans 15 and 13, it states, now that God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, yes, yes that ye may abound in hope and through the power of the Holy Ghost.
00:10:09.039 --> 00:10:13.759
Now, in researching this one, it's nothing but encouragement.
00:10:13.919 --> 00:10:14.159
Yes.
00:10:14.399 --> 00:10:32.320
This is about encouragement and and like uh my mom said, we went over brokenness, but just understand, even though we go through those those different times, that there's always hope on the other side of that because for one, it's about it it falls in kind of alignment with faith.
00:10:32.480 --> 00:10:32.879
Yes.
00:10:33.440 --> 00:10:42.559
You know that you have faith in God, you believe in something, faith is the believing in something that is not physically present per se.
00:10:43.279 --> 00:10:44.879
Hope is in the same alignment.
00:10:45.120 --> 00:10:45.360
Yes.
00:10:45.919 --> 00:10:50.480
But the key thing is with hope, it follows with a lot of promises.
00:10:51.279 --> 00:10:55.120
Jesus has made a lot of promises to us through that.
00:10:55.600 --> 00:11:05.120
So use that as encouragement or encouraging thing to understand that when you're going through those times is for one to help build you up.
00:11:05.360 --> 00:11:07.279
So don't just wallow in it.
00:11:07.440 --> 00:11:09.919
Go to God, and it may be things that you don't know.
00:11:10.000 --> 00:11:18.799
That's one thing I know that we that's been saying a lot that's been deep, that we don't really stress, is the fact that we go through these different times.
00:11:19.519 --> 00:11:26.000
And it's gonna be nothing but your faith in Him that is gonna help you get through these times.
00:11:26.080 --> 00:11:26.559
Yes, sir.
00:11:26.879 --> 00:11:27.919
Faith and prayer.
00:11:28.080 --> 00:11:31.679
If it weren't without them, I I know I wouldn't be right here right now.
00:11:32.159 --> 00:11:33.600
And that's the key part.
00:11:33.759 --> 00:11:51.440
The main thing about this walk is, man, is understanding and have a clear understanding that no matter what is going on, as long as you, for one, you're repenting on your sins, like we're supposed to, which honestly, that's that is more harder than me to be um frank and transparent than the forgiving part.
00:11:51.759 --> 00:11:56.559
I can forgive easy not than repenting, which don't even sound like it makes sense, but I'm just being honest.
00:11:56.720 --> 00:11:56.960
Right.
00:11:57.120 --> 00:12:00.320
Because the repent thing be them things where you know dang well.
00:12:00.480 --> 00:12:05.200
The sins we dwell in that we discuss, a lot of times you don't want to repent on that.
00:12:05.279 --> 00:12:07.039
Because you know you repent on, you do it again.
00:12:07.120 --> 00:12:07.600
Guess what?
00:12:07.759 --> 00:12:09.039
It ain't gonna get no better.
00:12:09.200 --> 00:12:09.519
Yeah.
00:12:09.919 --> 00:12:13.919
So that's something that I've struggled with and have to work on as my mom's super water.
00:12:14.080 --> 00:12:15.279
That I've had to work on.
00:12:16.159 --> 00:12:17.039
That I've had to work on.
00:12:18.399 --> 00:12:28.879
That I've had to literally, like, I'm just being honest, I had to work on within myself because I found it was certain sins that that I knew I was living in, and I just didn't want to repent on.
00:12:30.080 --> 00:12:35.759
But the key part is, as you know, that we're supposed to be as righteous as possible.
00:12:35.840 --> 00:12:44.320
So you can't not repent on them if you want to stay obedient and to continue to be in alignment with what God has for you.
00:12:44.399 --> 00:12:54.080
And that's where the hope in that comes to life for me, because I already know that God already has laid out a foundation for what he wants me to do within him.
00:12:54.399 --> 00:13:04.000
The key part is understanding that through this process and the growing, that you're shedding those different sinful natural things so that you can be as righteous as possible.
00:13:04.159 --> 00:13:05.600
And don't be afraid to repent.
00:13:05.679 --> 00:13:10.080
Like I said, I've had issues with sometimes because again, I'm just honest about stuff.
00:13:10.480 --> 00:13:13.519
And it'd be them things like, man, I don't really want to get it up.
00:13:13.600 --> 00:13:16.720
So that's said now, so I do it a couple more times, then repent.
00:13:16.879 --> 00:13:17.200
See.
00:13:17.840 --> 00:13:18.480
You know what I'm saying?
00:13:18.559 --> 00:13:20.240
Like, like I'm gonna negotiate with the Lord.
00:13:20.960 --> 00:13:21.360
We do that.
00:13:21.600 --> 00:13:22.559
Like, don't that make sense?
00:13:22.639 --> 00:13:26.480
But I'm just again, I'm just being very honest because we do that.
00:13:26.639 --> 00:13:28.720
I know I can't be the only person that just done that.
00:13:30.480 --> 00:13:32.799
I'm gonna pray a couple more times and not do it.
00:13:33.919 --> 00:13:46.240
But the the key thing about it is just having your faith aligned within Christ and knowing and understanding that He wants us to come to Him with every aspect of life, the stuff you don't feel comfortable talking to Him about.
00:13:46.399 --> 00:13:47.919
I learned to talk to him about it.
00:13:48.240 --> 00:13:48.480
Why?
00:13:48.559 --> 00:13:52.799
Because He said all aspects, not just the parts and pieces we want to.
00:13:52.960 --> 00:13:56.000
So even like now with the repent thing, I've talked to him about that too.
00:13:56.080 --> 00:13:58.639
I said, Lord, I know I gotta change that.
00:13:59.440 --> 00:14:01.200
Please help me get better with this.
00:14:01.919 --> 00:14:08.080
Help me with everything that I know I'm struggling with, the things that I may not even know that I'm dealing with that is not aligned.
00:14:08.960 --> 00:14:11.360
Clear that stuff out so that I can be in one of a core.
00:14:11.519 --> 00:14:15.039
Because I do not want to go before him and he says, Who are you?
00:14:15.120 --> 00:14:15.919
Depart from me.
00:14:16.559 --> 00:14:21.519
See, I ain't focused on this life no more, like I used to be worried, like worry about the kick and the turn about uh-uh.
00:14:21.759 --> 00:14:23.120
Eternal life is a lot longer.
00:14:23.200 --> 00:14:27.039
So I'm gonna ask y'all out there, which one matters more to you, this life or eternal life?
00:14:27.200 --> 00:14:27.519
Amen.
00:14:27.919 --> 00:14:41.440
I'm gonna say what is the hope that uh my pastor always said, well, he didn't always say it, but he uh said this uh in a uh sermon a couple of years ago that really, really hit me.
00:14:41.759 --> 00:14:44.320
We are living in eternity now.
00:14:44.879 --> 00:14:47.679
Because we as believers, we won't ever die.
00:14:48.720 --> 00:14:53.360
But the key is what Rich said last week.
00:14:54.320 --> 00:15:05.120
The last time we was in the studio, what uh I can't remember what uh podcast it was, it's the beginning, the dash, and the ending.
00:15:05.440 --> 00:15:10.559
What are you doing to end for eternity?
00:15:11.519 --> 00:15:18.639
And the piggyback off of you, what you said, not dog not going off on you because I'm guilty of it too.
00:15:18.960 --> 00:15:31.840
We can take those sins that we are living in, that we love to do, admit it, you don't want to give it up, but who's to say that God is gonna bless you to live till tomorrow to get it right?
00:15:33.519 --> 00:15:34.240
That's the key.
00:15:34.320 --> 00:15:39.200
We have to be aware that God can take you in an instant.
00:15:39.759 --> 00:15:41.200
We don't have to be sick.
00:15:42.000 --> 00:15:47.519
We don't have to talk about trust as well.
00:15:48.960 --> 00:15:58.320
Hoping and I'm talking about hoping for something good because people can hope that you hurt yourself or lose your job, and you know, that's evil.
00:15:58.639 --> 00:16:06.159
But we're hoping for the right thing, and that's you know, to live eternally, like you said, in the end with with Christ.
00:16:06.480 --> 00:16:08.639
And uh but we have to trust his word.
00:16:09.279 --> 00:16:23.519
And when I thought about that, John 14, it says too that in my father's house there are many mansions, or some some platforms or or what would you call them, the different prints, it says rooms.
00:16:24.000 --> 00:16:26.639
But in my father's house, there are many mansions.
00:16:26.960 --> 00:16:29.440
And if it wasn't so, I wouldn't have told you.
00:16:30.000 --> 00:16:32.480
He said, I go away to prepare a place for you.
00:16:32.639 --> 00:16:34.399
So that's the hope that we have.
00:16:35.120 --> 00:16:36.639
That's what keeps me in line.
00:16:37.120 --> 00:16:37.759
You know what I'm saying?
00:16:37.919 --> 00:16:49.759
Lord, I gave my life to you, so you know, I I I I want to say this to this person, or I want to do this or that, you know, in my sin, but I I uh you're not gonna be pleased with that.
00:16:49.840 --> 00:16:52.080
So I have to be conscious of his word.
00:16:52.320 --> 00:16:55.120
I have to trust his word that he said it.
00:16:55.360 --> 00:16:57.440
I went away to prepare a place for you.
00:16:57.919 --> 00:16:59.279
That's almost personal.
00:16:59.519 --> 00:17:00.240
I look at it.
00:17:00.480 --> 00:17:02.159
So I don't want to disappoint you, God.
00:17:02.320 --> 00:17:04.559
Yes, you know, and no, and no means.
00:17:04.640 --> 00:17:07.119
So you make me right because I can't get right on my own.
00:17:07.359 --> 00:17:13.279
That's a good way of looking at it because I just like that boy said, What that moving angle life can't get right.
00:17:13.440 --> 00:17:19.519
Yeah, I can't because I know no, I don't.
00:17:19.759 --> 00:17:25.279
It it takes God, and so trusting his word, boy, that's it brings us so much hope.
00:17:25.680 --> 00:17:28.079
You know, and peace too.
00:17:28.400 --> 00:17:28.799
Yeah.
00:17:32.799 --> 00:17:39.839
When I um looked at this topic, uh it said the hope we have.
00:17:40.319 --> 00:17:44.000
And it went on to say, trust in Jesus in every season.
00:17:44.480 --> 00:17:53.440
And that that meant a lot because when I uh the first definition that popped up, it was the first word that stuck out to me.
00:17:54.079 --> 00:17:59.839
Uh so being anchored, you know, I'm like anchored.
00:18:00.319 --> 00:18:04.559
Like, wow, that's um that's heavy in itself.
00:18:04.799 --> 00:18:05.039
Yes.
00:18:05.279 --> 00:18:09.039
When you think about the hope we have and trusting Jesus in every season.
00:18:09.279 --> 00:18:17.680
It says being anchored in his unchanging character and constant presence, providing steadfast peace regardless of change and circumstances.
00:18:18.000 --> 00:18:33.119
It says, regardless of change and circumstances, because we know life naturally moves through high highs and low lows from seasons of joy and abundance of periods of waiting, trial and sorrow.
00:18:33.440 --> 00:18:33.839
That's right.
00:18:34.079 --> 00:18:38.960
Trusting Christ transforms how we experience these shifts.
00:18:39.200 --> 00:18:50.480
Um, and then it went on to talk about uh how God's unfailing consistency because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.
00:18:51.200 --> 00:18:53.839
And you can read up on that in Hebrews 13 and 8.
00:18:55.200 --> 00:19:03.519
So our hope is not tied to fluctuating external situation, but to his permanent faithfulness.
00:19:03.920 --> 00:19:09.599
It goes on to talk about deepen uh how we can have deepened roots with Christ.
00:19:10.319 --> 00:19:23.119
Like a tree planted by the water that does not fear the heat, depending on him, provides soul level stability and resilience during long, dry, or different difficult stretches.
00:19:23.599 --> 00:19:24.720
That was a song, wasn't it?
00:19:24.799 --> 00:19:30.240
Yeah, just like a tree that's planted by the water.
00:19:32.720 --> 00:19:34.640
I was thinking about the anchor, too.
00:19:37.519 --> 00:19:38.880
I used to love that song.
00:19:39.119 --> 00:19:40.160
You said a pun too.
00:19:41.039 --> 00:19:41.759
You said a lot of weight.
00:19:41.920 --> 00:19:44.319
I said you try to say that pun on purpose or accident.
00:19:45.200 --> 00:19:45.839
Accident.
00:19:46.079 --> 00:20:04.480
And it goes to speak about purposeful transitions, meaning, uh, excuse me, embracing the present season, whether active or waiting, allows us to trust that God wastes nothing and works quietly behind the scenes for our ultimate good and redemption.
00:20:05.279 --> 00:20:08.799
And it goes on to speak of a secure refuge.
00:20:09.039 --> 00:20:23.119
Christ as a secure refuge, also turning to prayer and scripture allows us to lay down anxiety, knowing we are fully seen, known, and held by God who acts as our strength and refuge.
00:20:24.319 --> 00:20:28.880
And a Bible character uh that popped up was Joseph.
00:20:29.599 --> 00:20:45.039
He maintained unswerving, as it says, unswerving, trusting seasons of betrayal by his brothers, wrongful enslavement and imprisonment, eventually recognizing God's sovereign provenance.
00:20:45.200 --> 00:20:45.920
That's beautiful.
00:20:46.240 --> 00:20:50.000
When elevated in Egypt, it says unswerving.
00:20:50.079 --> 00:20:50.799
Unswerving.
00:20:50.960 --> 00:20:55.039
I said, oh wow, I didn't even know she unswerving.
00:20:55.279 --> 00:20:56.559
Oh, Jesus.
00:20:57.200 --> 00:20:59.519
Put that in the back of the middle roller decks.
00:20:59.759 --> 00:21:00.880
Unswerving.
00:21:01.440 --> 00:21:02.319
That's a good one.
00:21:02.400 --> 00:21:03.440
That's a good one, though.
00:21:03.519 --> 00:21:03.680
Yeah.
00:21:03.920 --> 00:21:05.039
That's a good one.
00:21:05.759 --> 00:21:07.839
I like when y'all said actively.
00:21:08.960 --> 00:21:13.920
See, hope is just not, once again, with your legs crossed, you gotta actively be doing something.
00:21:15.039 --> 00:21:16.000
You know what I'm saying?
00:21:16.400 --> 00:21:19.359
Hope is not a noun, it's a verb.
00:21:21.200 --> 00:21:23.200
And oh, I had a scripture lost.
00:21:26.240 --> 00:21:26.400
Okay.
00:21:28.000 --> 00:21:29.680
Romans 8 and 24.
00:21:29.759 --> 00:21:34.079
It says, Hope that is seen is not hope.
00:21:34.880 --> 00:21:36.319
So we don't see it, right?
00:21:36.559 --> 00:21:37.119
That's right.
00:21:38.160 --> 00:21:41.200
For who hopes for what he sees?
00:21:41.359 --> 00:21:42.400
Who do who does that?
00:21:42.720 --> 00:21:44.000
Who hopes for what he sees?
00:21:44.079 --> 00:21:46.400
You don't see it, but we believe it.
00:21:47.200 --> 00:21:49.759
But that's what Romans 8 and 24 says.
00:21:50.000 --> 00:21:52.559
Uh hope that is seen is not hope.
00:21:53.279 --> 00:21:59.599
I I like how they say that because we're trusting, once again, we're trusting that that Jesus went away to.
00:22:00.160 --> 00:22:01.119
Prepare a place for us.
00:22:01.200 --> 00:22:01.920
We don't see it.
00:22:02.720 --> 00:22:04.880
You know, that's where the trusting comes in.
00:22:04.960 --> 00:22:06.640
So hope that is seen.
00:22:06.799 --> 00:22:07.759
How do you see hope?
00:22:08.720 --> 00:22:09.759
That's what I want to know.
00:22:10.480 --> 00:22:12.000
That's why I said faith and hope of life.
00:22:17.599 --> 00:22:18.319
That's awesome.
00:22:19.119 --> 00:22:32.079
I know we're cutting short on time, but I wanted to go into uh just you all can add live, uh, what hope gives us because a lot of times the people get down on a hope.
00:22:32.960 --> 00:22:38.400
Oh Lord, I hope it no hope is uh uh upward word.
00:22:38.960 --> 00:22:41.200
You have to be positive about it.
00:22:41.359 --> 00:22:48.319
Uh hope gives us spiritual stability, it keeps believers, uh keeps us steady when life gets hard.
00:22:48.480 --> 00:22:49.279
Thank you, Jesus.
00:22:49.839 --> 00:22:56.720
Uh like Rich said, it's the anchor that keeps us from drifting from fear or discouragement.
00:22:57.359 --> 00:22:59.759
And it gives us the strength to endure.
00:22:59.920 --> 00:23:00.720
Thank you, Lord.
00:23:01.359 --> 00:23:08.160
Hope reminds us that suffering is only temporary and God's promises are eternal.
00:23:08.319 --> 00:23:09.119
Yes, they are.
00:23:09.279 --> 00:23:14.160
Uh hope uh teaches us, uh gives us identity and purpose.
00:23:14.960 --> 00:23:19.839
Don't think that you are here without having a purpose for your life.
00:23:20.400 --> 00:23:27.920
Uh hope teaches us to uh who are who we are in Christ and where our story is headed.
00:23:28.400 --> 00:23:34.319
I never would have thought that I would be uh drawn to young women.
00:23:34.559 --> 00:23:50.559
Um and this that resonated with me because I you never know what God has called you to do until you start walking in your obedience, and then God will reveal to you what your calling or your purpose is.
00:23:50.720 --> 00:23:55.039
So don't think that you don't have nothing to do for the body of Christ.
00:23:55.519 --> 00:23:57.759
Uh, it gives you joy in trials.
00:23:57.839 --> 00:23:58.480
Thank you, Jesus.
00:23:59.200 --> 00:24:08.319
There's have you ever seen uh some Christians that believers that they are they are joyous even though they've gone through a rough time?
00:24:08.960 --> 00:24:14.079
I want to be like that, you know, because right now I'm missing my my God brother.
00:24:14.240 --> 00:24:15.680
Uh I'm gonna be honest with you.
00:24:15.839 --> 00:24:26.480
I cried, I woke up crying about him yesterday because he normally would call me and sing that crazy way of singing uh happy birthday to me.
00:24:26.640 --> 00:24:30.960
You know, I'm like, and he goes down to happy birthday.
00:24:31.200 --> 00:24:33.440
I could I could hear Kenny.
00:24:33.759 --> 00:24:35.119
I'm talking about Kenny.
00:24:35.200 --> 00:24:50.160
Uh he is our uh forever eternal number five panelist in the studio, but I miss him and I I still have joy in knowing that he wouldn't even want to sing to me right now.
00:24:50.480 --> 00:24:52.559
He is praising God, you know?
00:24:54.240 --> 00:24:55.759
Hope is a light.
00:24:56.319 --> 00:25:03.279
It helps you when you see light, see life as being dark in those depressing moments.
00:25:03.359 --> 00:25:20.480
And I pray in the name of Jesus, whoever is experiencing uh loss or any kind of uh any kind of loss, a loss of relationship, loss, loss of job, or whatever loss it is, that God will continue to give you that hope.
00:25:20.640 --> 00:25:22.799
Uh hope as a promise.
00:25:22.960 --> 00:25:26.160
It reminds you God never breaks his word.
00:25:27.920 --> 00:25:29.839
He never breaks his word.
00:25:32.160 --> 00:25:33.359
I thank you.
00:25:34.960 --> 00:25:43.519
Man, I was thinking about uh Paul and Silas praised and saying hymns to God when they was in prison.
00:25:44.160 --> 00:25:49.599
Yes, you know, and Isaiah 41 and 10 says, Fear not, for I am with you.
00:25:50.000 --> 00:25:52.079
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
00:25:52.400 --> 00:25:58.559
I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
00:25:59.519 --> 00:26:06.720
So man, some of those people that like even those people behind bars, you know, uh there's still hope.
00:26:07.200 --> 00:26:10.319
You know, and we learned that from Paul and Silas.
00:26:12.720 --> 00:26:13.359
That's true.
00:26:14.000 --> 00:26:16.720
There's a lot of Bible verses on on this topic.
00:26:17.119 --> 00:26:19.359
Um I'm gonna just add a couple more.
00:26:20.160 --> 00:26:22.480
Uh Titus 2 and 13.
00:26:23.839 --> 00:26:25.359
Looking for that blessed hope.
00:26:26.400 --> 00:26:31.359
And that glorious appearance of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.
00:26:32.160 --> 00:26:34.960
Um Jeremiah 29 and 11.
00:26:35.839 --> 00:26:37.839
For I know the plans I have for you.
00:26:38.000 --> 00:26:39.680
Yes, declares the Lord.
00:26:40.240 --> 00:26:47.039
Plans for welfare and not for evil to give you a future and hope.
00:26:47.920 --> 00:26:49.759
So this is all about encouraging.
00:26:49.839 --> 00:26:58.799
I again, I know we discussed, and even through that, that's not a like a negative or derogatory thing of what we discussed our previous podcast.
00:26:58.960 --> 00:27:01.359
But it's like my mom said, they're perfectly aligned.
00:27:02.160 --> 00:27:05.920
Because hope is something that you need to get through that.
00:27:06.319 --> 00:27:06.880
That's right.
00:27:07.200 --> 00:27:15.359
That's the key part to even getting past and to be able to move forward in life through those different times.
00:27:15.759 --> 00:27:23.039
It's your hope that God and and understanding that God is gonna help you through it to where you're not gonna be where you were before.
00:27:23.279 --> 00:27:24.319
You're gonna be a new creature.
00:27:24.720 --> 00:27:25.839
You're gonna be a new person.
00:27:26.000 --> 00:27:26.160
Yeah.
00:27:26.720 --> 00:27:36.240
And honestly, when I rededicated myself to Christ, it was like a, it was almost like just a view of life from a whole different perspective.
00:27:36.799 --> 00:27:44.240
And it was more so what we discussed in earlier, seeing things not only through my fleshly, worldly eyes, but through spiritual eyes.
00:27:44.799 --> 00:27:51.599
It gave me, gave me totally different perspective on how I think about things, how I look at people, and how I view things now.
00:27:51.920 --> 00:28:00.319
Because before, I used to be so quick to like uh angry if I get offended, or if I felt you tried me, or candid me sideways, I gotta one-up you.
00:28:00.559 --> 00:28:03.119
But like now, I don't even feel the urge.
00:28:03.359 --> 00:28:03.599
Amen.
00:28:04.000 --> 00:28:06.160
If anything, I say, you know what, I pray for you.
00:28:06.960 --> 00:28:13.759
Because the one thing with me is once you find your peace, which you said long time ago, I didn't realize how deep that hit me.
00:28:14.640 --> 00:28:17.279
It's one thing you said the key to you is keeping your peace.
00:28:17.359 --> 00:28:17.519
Yeah.
00:28:17.759 --> 00:28:19.359
And that was years ago you said that.
00:28:19.839 --> 00:28:24.720
But it resonated with me because I was allowing peace disturbance within my life.
00:28:25.279 --> 00:28:28.240
I was inviting the enemy in, not even knowingly.
00:28:28.400 --> 00:28:28.559
Yeah.
00:28:28.720 --> 00:28:39.440
And see, what through this, the prayers and opening my spiritualized and growing in my word, it starts helping you, for one, yeah, to weed out them people and naturally God gonna weed them out anyway.
00:28:40.079 --> 00:28:40.400
Absolutely.
00:28:40.720 --> 00:28:58.319
That's why it's pertinent that we do go through a time of isolation for self-reflection and self-growth within this walk, or else otherwise you can get distracted, detoured, or get led astray, a backslide and double backslide, and which is the key thing that causes burdens and makes your life go backwards.
00:28:58.480 --> 00:29:04.880
So the main thing is focusing on Christ growing in his way, being as righteous as possible, and definitely being obedient.
00:29:05.119 --> 00:29:07.519
But sometimes it ain't comfortable being obedient.
00:29:07.680 --> 00:29:15.440
Because it's been a couple of times, like until I got I grew strong in my prayer, and I had got a better understanding of before.
00:29:15.599 --> 00:29:17.680
I say, I'm I'ma pray for you.
00:29:18.319 --> 00:29:19.519
Didn't do it then.
00:29:19.599 --> 00:29:22.000
Like I just knew I had later to do it.
00:29:23.039 --> 00:29:24.400
That's what started hitting me.
00:29:24.960 --> 00:29:26.480
You don't know if you got later.
00:29:26.559 --> 00:29:27.920
You don't know if you got the next second.
00:29:28.880 --> 00:29:34.000
After you say it and you didn't do it, you could be walking to your car and God say, Come home.
00:29:34.240 --> 00:29:35.279
Come home, that's right.
00:29:35.680 --> 00:29:40.640
Just understanding that gave me different perspective and view on everything.
00:29:40.799 --> 00:29:45.279
And it and through it all, that's what hope was the big part of it.
00:29:45.519 --> 00:29:54.559
Because my faith and hope and God standing on every word he said, and even when I tried him in it, like you ain't gonna do that for real.
00:29:54.799 --> 00:29:56.319
Every time he came through.
00:29:56.799 --> 00:30:00.640
He like, all you thought I was playing was I said, I made that approach, you thought I was playing, huh?
00:30:00.880 --> 00:30:03.359
He's like, nah, I stand on what I say.
00:30:03.599 --> 00:30:04.960
And I mean what I say.
00:30:05.200 --> 00:30:06.400
He's a man of his words.
00:30:06.640 --> 00:30:13.839
And once you actually truly understand that, that he says, leave it at my feet and move forward.
00:30:13.920 --> 00:30:20.880
This is my word, they ain't just technical wording, but leave it at my leave your birds at my feet and then move forward.
00:30:21.039 --> 00:30:21.200
Yeah.
00:30:21.680 --> 00:30:25.200
Once I started literally doing that, everything changed.
00:30:25.759 --> 00:30:28.559
Perspective, life, yes, things happen.
00:30:28.720 --> 00:30:32.559
But when they do happen, I got faith knowing that he's gonna take care of it and he got me.
00:30:32.880 --> 00:30:35.200
As long as I'm continuously standing in alignment.
00:30:35.359 --> 00:30:38.319
Because before things happen, I'm like, man, I know I ain't living right.
00:30:38.480 --> 00:30:39.759
So it was a reason for it.
00:30:40.160 --> 00:30:42.480
He's not gonna bless you when you're living wrong.
00:30:42.799 --> 00:30:44.559
And you knowingly living wrong.
00:30:44.880 --> 00:30:46.160
He's not gonna bless you through that.
00:30:46.240 --> 00:30:48.960
It seemed like it's him, but the enemy can bless you too.
00:30:51.920 --> 00:30:54.720
I want to go into how hope can strengthen.
00:30:54.799 --> 00:31:03.519
I uh it's labeled uh strengthens a new believer, but I believe all believers can be strengthened through this way of hope.
00:31:03.599 --> 00:31:06.160
Uh it gives you a spiritual confidence.
00:31:06.400 --> 00:31:16.240
Hope assures the new believer, I'm gonna say the believers, that God has truly begun a good work in them and will finish it.
00:31:16.880 --> 00:31:25.039
This confidence, it helps them trust God even when they don't when you don't yet understand about faith.
00:31:26.079 --> 00:31:28.799
You're right, Crystal, he ain't gonna bless the mess.
00:31:30.160 --> 00:31:30.640
Yeah.
00:31:32.400 --> 00:31:38.480
It gives you an uh totally different identity in Christ that you you understand.
00:31:38.960 --> 00:31:45.039
Hope reminds us that we are forgiven, loved, and accepted.
00:31:45.519 --> 00:31:57.279
It quiets the old voices of shame, like what we talked about last uh podcast, and teaches us to see ourselves the way God sees us.
00:31:57.599 --> 00:32:04.160
A lot of time we are walking in brokenness and we don't see ourselves the way God sees us.
00:32:04.400 --> 00:32:08.000
We are perfect, God loves us no matter what.
00:32:08.480 --> 00:32:12.160
Ain't nothing you can do to make God not love you.
00:32:12.480 --> 00:32:15.119
That's the difference in being human.
00:32:15.440 --> 00:32:21.440
That's why you always have to look through, see life through spiritual eyes.
00:32:21.759 --> 00:32:27.839
Because if you you can't turn them back, can you turn back on your spiritual eyes?
00:32:28.559 --> 00:32:29.359
Turn them back.
00:32:29.920 --> 00:32:33.440
You know, I mean, like go well, go back to the worldly eyes.
00:32:33.599 --> 00:32:34.319
Yeah, you can't do it.
00:32:34.720 --> 00:32:38.559
I think if you choose to go backwards in your life, you choose to denounce it.
00:32:38.799 --> 00:32:39.680
I don't think you can give it back.
00:32:40.480 --> 00:32:40.880
Yeah, yeah.
00:32:41.519 --> 00:32:42.480
I don't think you can give it back.
00:32:42.720 --> 00:32:46.480
I think you can choose to allow them to go dormant, yeah.
00:32:46.799 --> 00:32:47.920
Or not even use them.
00:32:48.480 --> 00:32:50.000
Put your blinders up to use them.
00:32:50.240 --> 00:32:51.200
Yeah, and it's not safe.
00:32:51.279 --> 00:32:51.839
That's not good.
00:32:52.720 --> 00:32:54.319
I wouldn't, I would never advise that one.
00:32:54.799 --> 00:32:55.119
Don't do that.
00:32:55.440 --> 00:32:59.279
That's not do that.
00:32:59.759 --> 00:33:01.680
No pot at the end of that rainbow.
00:33:02.559 --> 00:33:06.720
Uh hope helps us endure in trials.
00:33:07.440 --> 00:33:13.920
Uh, believers, we face spiritual attacks, doubts, or pushbacks from others.
00:33:14.559 --> 00:33:16.240
Who you think you all that?
00:33:16.720 --> 00:33:20.319
Just because you saved now, you holier than now.
00:33:21.359 --> 00:33:23.759
I heard somebody say that I was holier than now.
00:33:23.920 --> 00:33:26.559
I'm like, they don't know me.
00:33:26.799 --> 00:33:27.279
You know me.
00:33:28.400 --> 00:33:29.519
They don't know thou either.
00:33:29.680 --> 00:33:30.559
They don't know thou.
00:33:32.640 --> 00:33:35.519
That's still uh judging me from my old address, too.
00:33:36.640 --> 00:33:37.519
You see what I'm saying?
00:33:38.160 --> 00:33:44.400
You can only say that if you had per se things to compare it to.
00:33:44.559 --> 00:33:46.640
So you're comparing it to my old self.
00:33:46.720 --> 00:33:49.359
Yeah, my old address where I don't live no more.
00:33:49.759 --> 00:33:54.880
Yeah, and and because you wouldn't make a statement if you knew the the new creation.
00:33:55.279 --> 00:34:07.119
Well, those people are comparing the old you to the new creation, and they don't know the new creation because they haven't really experienced it, because they're afraid of being a new creation themselves, I think.
00:34:07.279 --> 00:34:08.239
I could be totally wrong.
00:34:08.559 --> 00:34:10.639
People I know be like, ooh, but Mama June, never.
00:34:10.800 --> 00:34:11.599
I was like, what?
00:34:12.000 --> 00:34:12.960
You don't know her?
00:34:13.119 --> 00:34:15.199
Not the old her, you know the new her, not the old her.
00:34:15.440 --> 00:34:20.400
Like, she could never pots and pans getting thrown across the room with you.
00:34:22.079 --> 00:34:22.880
Ask for it.
00:34:23.039 --> 00:34:27.360
No, it ain't like they didn't ask him to be throwing pots and pans and plates.
00:34:31.760 --> 00:34:33.360
That's the only image they see.
00:34:33.840 --> 00:34:34.159
Right.
00:34:34.320 --> 00:34:37.519
So they they have an inkling of what who thou is.
00:34:37.760 --> 00:34:39.440
You mess me up with that gun.
00:34:39.679 --> 00:34:40.159
No, the for real.
00:34:40.639 --> 00:34:44.559
They have an image, they have some type of inkling who thou is.
00:34:44.800 --> 00:34:45.199
That's good.
00:34:45.679 --> 00:34:47.199
So they ain't in the dark.
00:34:47.679 --> 00:34:48.639
You see what I'm saying?
00:34:48.719 --> 00:34:50.480
But they just saying it out of envy.
00:34:50.960 --> 00:34:55.360
I sure do hate it because I'm inviting everybody to love Jesus like I do.
00:34:55.440 --> 00:34:55.760
That's it.
00:34:56.320 --> 00:35:03.280
If you walk in Christ like I'm walking, all of us have changed.
00:35:03.519 --> 00:35:03.760
That's it.
00:35:04.159 --> 00:35:06.400
But you know, um Hallelujah.
00:35:06.480 --> 00:35:11.760
Yes, there's nothing like you said that Rich told cop you.
00:35:11.920 --> 00:35:13.280
There's nothing like peace.
00:35:13.519 --> 00:35:14.639
Peace, peace, yes.
00:35:15.199 --> 00:35:24.400
And people that um that are not walking in the peace that surpasses all understanding, they're not, they not, they don't understand.
00:35:24.559 --> 00:35:26.000
They can't understand.
00:35:26.159 --> 00:35:29.280
Even though you're going through stuff, you still have peace.
00:35:29.920 --> 00:35:33.360
Because you have the hope and knowing God is gonna take care of it.
00:35:33.519 --> 00:35:33.840
Yes, right.
00:35:34.159 --> 00:35:36.639
Even if He don't take care of it, guess what?
00:35:36.800 --> 00:35:38.559
I'm happy with Jesus alone.
00:35:39.360 --> 00:35:44.559
Yeah, Crystal said also people like to keep you where they knew you were at.
00:35:44.719 --> 00:35:45.360
Yep, that's true.
00:35:46.480 --> 00:35:49.119
Yeah, she said that was me, but this is me now.
00:35:49.280 --> 00:35:50.480
Hey, thank you, Lord.
00:35:51.679 --> 00:35:52.880
Yeah, it's the truth.
00:35:53.119 --> 00:35:58.880
But and people, I really hate that because my desire.
00:35:59.199 --> 00:36:00.000
I highly dislike.
00:36:03.679 --> 00:36:09.840
I my desire is that everybody come to know Jesus like we do.
00:36:10.639 --> 00:36:12.000
That's my desire.
00:36:12.639 --> 00:36:17.760
Because once you do, you will say, dang, I get it now.
00:36:18.400 --> 00:36:24.159
You know, and it's it's fear that's keeping people in that rut.
00:36:24.400 --> 00:36:30.960
Um but it hope gives you joy in everyday life.
00:36:32.239 --> 00:36:35.440
People be like, Why you be singing so much and acting?
00:36:35.519 --> 00:36:39.920
Yeah, I be walking around singing church music at work.
00:36:40.239 --> 00:36:42.079
I know I my voice be echoing.
00:36:42.400 --> 00:36:43.280
I love it.
00:36:45.679 --> 00:36:46.719
I'm now the halls.
00:36:46.880 --> 00:36:48.559
Oh, yeah, I hit them.
00:36:48.639 --> 00:36:49.280
I hit them.
00:36:49.599 --> 00:37:00.000
Especially when I'm knowing I'm sounding good with that, and somebody don't mess around and let somebody say you can sing, June, but oh I was singing to Antoine.
00:37:00.079 --> 00:37:03.840
I sang to him every I tried to sing a song to him every time.
00:37:03.920 --> 00:37:09.360
He would text me, and I was like, I'm drinking coffee.
00:37:16.480 --> 00:37:17.920
I think we about run out of time now.
00:37:20.159 --> 00:37:27.039
But I want to uh and lastly, uh hope gives you motivation to grow.
00:37:27.440 --> 00:37:28.239
Yes, it does.
00:37:28.719 --> 00:37:38.000
It gives you the hope fuels the desire to pray, read scripture as well as learn, family.
00:37:38.320 --> 00:37:46.320
It keeps you from being hungry for God because you believe He has more for you anyway.
00:37:48.239 --> 00:37:50.320
Oh boy, this was so good.
00:37:54.639 --> 00:37:57.199
Bishop uses like this dry erase board.
00:37:57.920 --> 00:38:04.320
So the armor bearer normally put it up, and I'm like, man, the Bishop board ain't up.
00:38:04.559 --> 00:38:07.920
So I look for the armor bearer, so he had an injury.
00:38:08.320 --> 00:38:09.760
So he gave me the nye.
00:38:09.840 --> 00:38:12.239
I said, Man, you finally gave me the nigh.
00:38:13.039 --> 00:38:16.880
Because I tell, you know, armor bearer, I'm I'm just filling in spots.
00:38:17.039 --> 00:38:17.360
Right, right.
00:38:17.679 --> 00:38:19.039
You know, so I go get the board set up.
00:38:19.760 --> 00:38:23.360
He had two words on there: insurance and usurance.
00:38:23.760 --> 00:38:24.159
Wow.
00:38:24.480 --> 00:38:30.000
And I and I know it was probably from the week prior where I was sick and didn't get to go to Bible study then.
00:38:30.239 --> 00:38:35.519
So I'm gonna ask him next time I see it, okay, Bishop, what what were you saying about these two words?
00:38:35.760 --> 00:38:37.440
Insurance and assurance.
00:38:37.599 --> 00:38:41.519
Because that kind of stuck out with me as y'all were going and talking about hope.
00:38:41.760 --> 00:38:43.440
So yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna ask him next time.
00:38:43.920 --> 00:38:46.159
What did you mean by insurance and assurance?
00:38:46.320 --> 00:38:49.840
Because he's been on a praise God.
00:38:50.480 --> 00:39:03.199
I think all called pastors or leadership, they are on one because they know they know because God they I I don't I'm not gonna say they have a special connection with God.
00:39:03.280 --> 00:39:17.840
That would be a lie, because we all have our own personal uh connection with God, but those that are in leadership that really and truly have a heart for God's people, they are in a different realm now.
00:39:18.800 --> 00:39:33.280
Because uh my pastor is on one too, and I'm like, man, I can't wait to hear what he got to say this week, you know, because when your leaders are on one, it keeps you on one.
00:39:33.760 --> 00:39:54.480
Follow him as he follows Christ, even though we have our own path, but when you get under good leadership like that, you're growing, it's a blessing because everybody, there's so many pastors and leaders out here that are feeding the flocks a mess, and they leading them to hell.
00:39:54.719 --> 00:39:56.239
A lot of them ain't feeding them at all.
00:39:56.480 --> 00:39:57.519
Yeah, that's true.
00:39:58.960 --> 00:40:02.320
And no, Keisha, that's not you can't tell her that it's a hereditary.
00:40:03.599 --> 00:40:03.840
Yeah.
00:40:04.320 --> 00:40:06.000
He thinks he can sing, but I got him.
00:40:07.280 --> 00:40:09.199
No, she's saying that I get it from you.
00:40:09.440 --> 00:40:10.320
Oh, okay.
00:40:10.480 --> 00:40:11.920
Yeah, yeah, he be singing.
00:40:12.320 --> 00:40:15.199
I can see that singing a lot.
00:40:16.559 --> 00:40:19.679
You make it a brand of song that's every now and then.
00:40:23.840 --> 00:40:26.320
Y'all know that's all them in the heart of the video.
00:40:26.559 --> 00:40:28.480
I just did the last episode of the time.
00:40:30.079 --> 00:40:30.320
Yeah.
00:40:30.639 --> 00:40:31.760
You said ain't that the song?
00:40:31.920 --> 00:40:33.360
And then y'all started singing.
00:40:36.400 --> 00:40:37.199
I love it.
00:40:37.440 --> 00:40:38.639
We did that corner.
00:40:39.039 --> 00:40:39.519
Yeah.
00:40:41.119 --> 00:40:41.599
Shoot.
00:40:41.760 --> 00:40:48.159
I'm I'm I'm just thanking, praising God for this podcast, and thank you, ladies, for joining us.
00:40:48.480 --> 00:40:48.719
Thank you.
00:40:49.599 --> 00:41:03.760
Thank you so much because uh we, you don't know that we feed off of you all's comments, too, because you bring substance to this podcast for those that might be uh listening on the audio.
00:41:04.000 --> 00:41:12.000
That's why we encourage you to say what's on your mind to uh uh to help us feed the kingdom.
00:41:12.159 --> 00:41:25.440
Yeah, because when we read them, it's because we want those that listen to us only on audio, because I know quite a few people that listen to us but don't watch us on YouTube or watch us on Facebook.
00:41:25.679 --> 00:41:31.440
So uh that's why we encourage you to say, give us your feedback.
00:41:31.599 --> 00:41:36.400
Yeah, because uh people are they the streets is hot now.
00:41:39.840 --> 00:41:41.519
It is it's great you said that, Ma.
00:41:41.760 --> 00:41:47.440
I want to shout out my sister in Christ Maud last night when we were leaving High Praise Night.
00:41:47.519 --> 00:41:49.039
She said, You ready for the show tomorrow?
00:41:49.519 --> 00:41:50.719
And I was kind of stuck.
00:41:50.800 --> 00:41:57.679
I'm like, oh, she's talking about, and then my wife, like, yeah, baby, she she she be checking in on the Vent 101.
00:41:57.840 --> 00:41:58.159
What's I mean?
00:41:58.400 --> 00:41:59.440
So shout out to Maud.
00:41:59.840 --> 00:42:00.159
Maud.
00:42:00.639 --> 00:42:00.960
Maud.
00:42:01.440 --> 00:42:01.760
Maud.
00:42:02.159 --> 00:42:02.480
Maud.
00:42:04.559 --> 00:42:05.440
Appreciate, appreciate.
00:42:05.760 --> 00:42:06.639
Yeah, we dang.
00:42:08.559 --> 00:42:12.079
We love being in the studio, you know.
00:42:12.320 --> 00:42:18.559
And uh one of our engineers, Sam, made the statement, yeah, we know all everybody knows about Vent 101.
00:42:21.920 --> 00:42:24.400
Yeah, that's that's my one of my babies.
00:42:24.559 --> 00:42:27.360
All of all the engineers are my babies.
00:42:27.599 --> 00:42:30.159
But uh uh Rich, can you pray us out?
00:42:30.320 --> 00:42:32.320
We thank you for joining us.
00:42:32.960 --> 00:42:36.559
Dear most gracious Heavenly Father, we thank you for this opportunity.

We thank you for your provision, we thank you for your finances.
00:42:40.800 --> 00:42:41.280
Yes, Jesus.
00:42:41.519 --> 00:42:49.599
We just thank you for being able to assemble here today and give tidbits out there to podcast land, as my brother would say.
00:42:49.840 --> 00:42:53.840
We hope someone uh gains some information that they can use.
00:42:54.079 --> 00:42:56.880
We hope that they put their hope in you, Father.
00:42:58.000 --> 00:42:59.360
We hope that they turn to you.
00:42:59.440 --> 00:43:03.280
We hope that somebody has been impacted by something we said today.
00:43:04.000 --> 00:43:09.920
If they picked up just a little bit, I'm I'm I'm just grateful to you for that, Father.
00:43:10.159 --> 00:43:15.280
Thank you for allowing your Holy Spirit to speak through us through these mics and these airways.
00:43:15.760 --> 00:43:18.639
Thank you for just watching over us as we traveled here.
00:43:18.800 --> 00:43:22.400
Yes, we ask that you watch over us as we travel back to our homes.
00:43:22.480 --> 00:43:28.079
Yes, we thank you for uh our main host, Mama June, our Godmother.
00:43:28.559 --> 00:43:30.639
We wish her the happiest of birthdays.
00:43:30.960 --> 00:43:31.119
Thank you.
00:43:31.280 --> 00:43:34.559
You know, and we ask that you give her the wants of her heart, Father.
00:43:34.719 --> 00:43:35.119
Yes, Lord.
00:43:35.199 --> 00:43:35.840
Thank you, Jesus.
00:43:36.000 --> 00:43:36.960
We pray for each other.
00:43:37.119 --> 00:43:41.360
We uh miss your brother Kenny, so we send a shout out to his wife, Tanil.
00:43:41.519 --> 00:43:42.880
We still love you and we pray for you.
00:43:44.400 --> 00:43:50.559
And we just want you to just keep continuously giving us topics and leading and guiding us everywhere.
00:43:51.119 --> 00:43:52.000

00:44:07.360 --> 00:44:15.039
Yes, we pray that you just keep on blessing us, Father, and we'll give you all the glory and all the honor in your sweet son, Jesus' name.
00:44:15.840 --> 00:44:16.079
Amen.
00:44:17.679 --> 00:44:18.000
Amen.
00:44:18.320 --> 00:44:19.039
Bless God.
00:44:19.519 --> 00:44:20.159
Yeah.
00:44:20.480 --> 00:44:25.760
