On episode 67 of The Safety Gambit podcast, Lindsay is joined by Amy Frias, health educator and Safe Kids coordinator at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) to explore all things electric bikes, also known as e-bikes (yes, it's the e-bike episode!).
In this episode, we cover:
- Why maybe not every kid was meant to have an e-bike (electric bike), and how parents can determine that.
- The three classes of e-bikes, including age limits and max miles per hour.
- The two-two-two rule for e-bike helmet fit and sizing.
- Why it's a great idea to know which route your kid takes to school.
- How to set boundaries around e-bike responsibility and privilege.
- And so much more.
