Speaker 1: Hey, it's Mark Simone here. Welcome to the bonus segment. For all you podcast listeners, you get an extra show because we really appreciate you listening to the podcast. Midterms coming up. What is it? I don't know. It's like 40 days away. 40 days away. The midterms and the big— the Republicans need messaging. Where's the messaging? It's a tough situation because all the mainstream fake news, they keep broadcasting all day and night, the economy's in trouble, affordability, economy, affordability, affordability. The economy is actually in very good shape. They don't report that. I know gas prices are high, but otherwise the economy is in great shape. In fact, that most recent report, median income is at an all-time high. Poverty rate is the lowest level ever in history. So they've got to get this message out. The one thing that's up is gas. That's the only thing that's up. They'll focus on oil prices all the time. So they got to get that message across. First of all, affordability crisis, number one expense is taxes for most people. A recent study shows the biggest expense they got in their budget is their taxes. So you're worried about affordability? Get the taxes down. And the funniest thing is these Democrats pretending to be so upset about the price of gas. They're Democrats. They want it to be $ 10 a gallon. Remember when the Democrats were in power? They said they'd They shut down oil production everywhere. They drove the price up as high as they could get it. You know, in California, they charge $ 6 a gallon. Democrats would love to get the gas. Their goal was always to get it to $ 10 a gallon. The reason they do that is they don't want you to drive gas cars. They want you to ride a bike, a scooter, switch to electric. So it's such hypocrisy. Democrats yelling about gas prices. Remember Pat Boone, the great singer Pat Boone? conservative. He was a big Reagan supporter, good friend of Reagan's. Remember, he was on this show a while back. He's also told a lot of stories about what a WOR fan he was through the years. So Pat Boone's got some advice for President Trump, who he likes. He said, I've known and supported President Trump for many years, and I offer these thoughts in the spirit of friendship and concern. He says, for a little while, try being quiet. Sometimes the strongest thing a leader can do, he says, is say less, listen more, let his actions speak. I'm praying for our president. I'm asking him to remember the example of Ronald Reagan, humor, courtesy, respect, and a presidential manner. Well, we love Pat Boone, but this is not going to work. I think Pat Boone, he was great in 1958, but I don't think he's got what it takes for 2026. You know, he was a big star, Pat Boone, in the 50s and 60s because he was a sweet, wonderful, nice, well-mannered young man. But if he came along in the music business in 2026, you'd think he'd get anywhere. You've got to be edgy and all sorts of stuff. And listen, everybody points to Ronald Reagan, who was unbelievable. Reagan was so great. But I hate to break it to you. If Reagan came along today, If Reagan was a young guy running for president, he'd get no place with his manners and his courtesy. Can you imagine Reagan in the middle of the 2020s trying to deal with the fake news, trying to deal with Caitlin Collins? You know, Reagan was great in his time, but in today's vicious media world, you can't do Reagan. You can't just go, well, you've got to be like Trump. Trump was raised on Imus and Howard Stern. You've got to be so vicious and It's the only way to deal with these people. I know Trump's behavior is crazy at times. But to fight this, to fight your way through this nowadays, the fake news world and the vicious, crazy Democrats, you've got to be the dirtiest street fighter to cut through that. And that's why Trump does that. Hey, American colleges are facing an enrollment crisis. Well, it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. These left-wing, anti-Semitic, disgusting colleges are Facing an enrollment crisis. First of all, they rob everybody $ 80, 000 for tuition. It's ridiculous. You know, Harvard has an endowment of like $ 60 billion. Just the interest of their endowment would pay for the whole school 10 times over every year. They don't even need to charge admission. But they charge a ridiculous amount. So the one reason is a lot of parents are so turned off by these colleges and the anti-Semitism. And also... the left-wing indoctrination. They're afraid to send their kids there. Now, also, there's a lot of people, a lot of people who now realize what a racket it is, these colleges, and they'd rather go to trade schools, vocational schools, and learn a skill. You know, the number of high school grads enrolling in traditional colleges is down 13%, and more and more going to trade schools. You know, like Lincoln Tech, it's one of our sponsors. Great trade schools. You go to a trade school You learn something. Be an electrician, be a plumber, be an HVAC, be an IT guy, whatever. You come out of there with a skill. You go right to work. Your first job, you're getting $ 100, 000 a year, and you make a whole lot more money. You do very well. You go to college. You get your fancy degree, your liberal arts degree, your political history degree, and then you go live in your parents' house for the next 20 years, and you can't get a job. You know, when you are a highly trained electrician, There's a million people that want to hire you. When you come around with your liberal arts degree, nobody knows what the hell to do with you. So trade schools way up, college enrollment dropping. Not to mention, you know, your college is stuck there for four years. These trade schools, you're there two years, you're out and you're making money instantly. Nobody leaves the trade school and goes and lives in their parents' basement. It's not happening. So it's a good thing to think. And some of the top college professors, have actually told me, you know, they look at the class and they see like 30% of this class shouldn't even be here. They should be in a trade school. There's nothing here for them. There's nothing here that's going to help them. So the president's ballroom continuing. Now it's up to 90,000 square feet. Do you know how big that is? You know how big a ballroom that is? 90,000 square feet. It's going to take a while to build. Now by the time it's finished, Trump will be leaving office. So he's not building it for himself. He's building it for future presidents, although if a Democrat wins, they all claim they'll tear it down. The first thing they'll do is tear it down, which would be the most ridiculous, childish, most selfish act imaginable. However, Trump says they won't be able to tear it down. He's using a type of steel you can't tear down. He's using what they call nuclear concrete that you really, it's impossible to tear it down. You can hit it with 10 planes and you can't tear it down. So let's see. This is going to be an interesting battle In the future. So, hey, some restaurants are infuriating customers. There's a couple of chains. One is Wingstop because they decided they will not take cash anymore. You know, everybody's paying cashless, obviously credit cards, but there's a lot of people now using Google Pay, using Apple Pay. You know, you see it in the supermarket all the time. They just hold their phone up to the thing and pay on Apple Pay. They pay with their phone. Some chains will not take cash anymore. which makes sense because a lot, most people don't use, very few people use cash anymore. And if you don't have to have cash here, boy, it's a lot easier in operation, taking cash to the bank, getting cash, trusting employees with cash. It's a lot easier. So now the only problem, some people are complaining like crazy. There's some, I guess, very old people that still use cash. And I would think, I would think a lot of gangsters, they don't like to use credit or that they like cash. They carry cash. That way there's no record of where they've been, no record of any transaction. You know, the Tony Sopranos, they got a big roll of cash with the, uh, one of those big thick broccoli rubber bands around it. Uh, also drug dealers, cartels, I would imagine they don't want to use any, uh, any digital credit card because it leaves a paper trail of where you are. So, uh, they're, they're a little upset about this no cash thing. You know, when you're in a Drugstore, Duane Reade, you're in the supermarket. You see somebody take out cash. You look at it like you can't believe they're using cash. And it slows everything down. They have to actually make change and give them the right change. It's ridiculous. Hey, speaking of college, all those kids that get out of these four-year colleges with their big fancy degrees and can't get a job and there's nothing for them to do in life and they move back in with their parents. Now, here's a study that shows they're calling them the highly educated downwardly mobile. The more highly educated, the less chance they have to ever work and they're living in their parents' house. It's these voters that they say are fueling the rise on the far left, the very far left, the democratic socialists. This is their sweet spot. According to a lot of studies here, highly educated, downwardly mobile. They can't get a job. They got all kinds of fancy degrees that are useless. They become angry, spoiled brats, brats. spoiled brats. And the study says this is the biggest generational temper tantrum we've seen. That's what they're so angry about. That's why they hate the system. And that's why they like the socialism. The problem with capitalism is they can't compete. They can't even get a job doing anything. Speaking of that, the mayor's wife, Zoran Mamdami's wife, is Rama Diwaji. You notice she's always on vacations. She's always taking these, and not just a regular vacation, these crazy vacations. Once again, she's jetting off to Europe for a posh Islamic-centered women's retreat. First Lady will resume her role as the artist in residence with the Women's Sanctuary for something. It's a journey through Islamic calligraphy in Porto, Portugal. You know, they have these vacations. You ever hear of some? We have these commercials sometimes. You can take the oldies cruise where they got all the oldies artists on them. You can take the disco cruise where they got disco stuff going on. This has got to be the worst one I've ever heard. The Islamic calligraphy vacation. Hey, don't laugh. It's 4,300 a room. Oh, a shared room. Private room, 5,200. It will take place in the tranquil countryside of Arcos de Valdevis or whatever the hell it is. But some people are critical. It's an expensive vacation. It's some left-wing kook stuff. And they point out, you know, these people, these socialists talking about affordability, the poor... Here they are jet-setting around the world on this elitist, crazy nonsense. But that's what socialism's always been. That's always been the case with socialism. It's about everybody's broken down and living on welfare, and the leaders have got mansions and private jets, and the leaders live like kings. That's the way it works. Bernie Sanders, you're talking about the poor, the people who can't afford. In the meantime, he's got three mansions. He's flying around on private jets. That's socialism. Hey, this place in Miami, the Golden Goat, people are coming from all over the place for their Australian Wagyu hot dog. It's a $ 100 hot dog. $ 100 for the hot dog. It's Wagyu beef. It's got 24-carat gold on it. It's topped with creme fraiche, mascarpone cheese, 30 grams of Golden Goat, classic Acetra chives. It's got actual gold flakes. It's $ 100, and people are lining up around the block for it. This is one of those things that catches on on Instagram, the $ 100 hot dog. Now, if you've got a Costco card, go into Costco. It's $ 1. 50. It's the finest hot dog you will ever eat. There's no more delicious hot dog. And the bun is amazing. They make that special bun. $ 1. 50. It's 100 times better if you did a blind taste test. with that Costco hot dog and this $ 100 hot dog, the $ 100 hot dog would not have a chance. Oh, there's other great hot dogs. There's Walter's in Westchester. That's like the Peter Luger of hot dogs. There's Hiram's in Fort Lee, New Jersey. There's Super Weenie in Connecticut, Bridgeport, but still the best, Costco. There's no better hot dog than that one. Hey, we're out of time. Thanks for listening. You know, if you're going to listen on the air, it's three hours every day, nine to noon every day. So thanks for listening to the podcast. I'll be back on Monday. Have a great weekend.
