معلومات عن هذه الحلقة
Hey pod and welcome back! This is the third segment of our Black August series, where we talk about the films that highlight Black resistance, freedom fighters, and political prisoners. Tonight, we are discussing the film, The Stroll directed by Kristen Lovell and Zackary Drucker released in 2023. Co-Director, trans activist, and former sex worker, Kristen Lovell tells the history of New York City’s Meatpacking District during the 1980s and 1990s through her personal story and the stories of Black and Latina trans women who worked there as sex workers in an area known as "The Stroll".
