1
00:00:00.550 --> 00:00:06.610
Now here is another primetime bite. And well, if Warrior's out, Mr.
2
00:00:06.650 --> 00:00:11.759
Perfect somehow randomly on an episode of primetime wrestling, where again,
3
00:00:12.060 --> 00:00:15.080
there has been no indication. There is a beef between
4
00:00:15.119 --> 00:00:18.780
Ric Flair, Mr. Perfect, Bobby Hina, Razorbone, never once. Out
5
00:00:18.800 --> 00:00:21.570
of nowhere on this random primetime episode, Mr.
6
00:00:21.609 --> 00:00:22.269
Perfect is there.
7
00:00:22.510 --> 00:00:26.469
Macho Man is live from a TV station in Sarasota.
8
00:00:26.920 --> 00:00:29.219
And he has to, you know, they're using satellites to
9
00:00:29.239 --> 00:00:32.460
do this in 1992. And he's out of nowhere saying, well,
10
00:00:32.500 --> 00:00:36.340
Warrior's out. I need a perfect partner. So throughout the show,
11
00:00:37.020 --> 00:00:39.359
Bobby Heenan is making fun of Savage. And then we
12
00:00:39.399 --> 00:00:42.549
even have Ric Flair and Razor Ramon via satellite, also
13
00:00:42.649 --> 00:00:44.070
from Charlotte, North Carolina.
14
00:00:44.109 --> 00:00:44.890
Cutting brothers.
15
00:00:45.369 --> 00:00:47.969
And they're all just beefing with each other because this
16
00:00:47.990 --> 00:00:50.070
is all has to be done now. Clearly, this was
17
00:00:50.109 --> 00:00:53.829
recorded very soon before Survivor Series. And Macho Man wants perfect.
18
00:00:54.170 --> 00:00:56.390
Bobby Heenan makes fun of him the whole episode. Eventually,
19
00:00:56.409 --> 00:00:59.810
it ends with Perfect saying, you know what? I will
20
00:00:59.869 --> 00:01:02.909
come back. I will be the perfect partner. Dumps water
21
00:01:03.049 --> 00:01:06.579
on Heenan. It's a classic moment. When did you know
22
00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:09.379
that Mr. Perfect was even cleared to wrestle?
23
00:01:11.079 --> 00:01:13.959
Well, I mean, it was about the time, and he
24
00:01:14.040 --> 00:01:20.790
wasn't ready. That was through necessity that, you know, he
25
00:01:20.829 --> 00:01:25.109
had a devastating back injury. Um, you know, people often
26
00:01:25.159 --> 00:01:27.219
talk about the, you know, the insurance and stuff that
27
00:01:27.250 --> 00:01:32.040
was involved. And I don't know how we, how we
28
00:01:32.060 --> 00:01:36.079
worked that one out, but, uh, yeah, he wasn't, uh,
29
00:01:36.459 --> 00:01:39.400
he wasn't ready to, he wasn't ring ready. Um, not,
30
00:01:39.599 --> 00:01:42.040
not even, not to the point where he was healed
31
00:01:42.200 --> 00:01:45.859
and at the point, uh, and anybody that's been in
32
00:01:45.900 --> 00:01:50.390
the ring there, I can't contest that, but, uh, at the,
33
00:01:50.790 --> 00:01:53.040
I can tell you though, but being around those guys
34
00:01:53.060 --> 00:01:54.640
that you've got to be what they call it a
35
00:01:54.680 --> 00:01:57.379
ring shape. You can't just go, you may know where
36
00:01:57.439 --> 00:02:00.180
all the, the, the steps go. You may know where
37
00:02:00.219 --> 00:02:03.540
the body's supposed to be, but you, you have to
38
00:02:03.579 --> 00:02:08.270
be in ring shape. And you know, Kurt wasn't really
39
00:02:08.330 --> 00:02:13.349
capable of doing all of that months prior. And not
40
00:02:13.389 --> 00:02:15.849
that he got out of, out of shape, you know,
41
00:02:15.909 --> 00:02:18.400
he didn't balloon up or something like that, but he wasn't,
42
00:02:18.990 --> 00:02:21.289
Wasn't ready to step back into the ring at the time,
43
00:02:21.349 --> 00:02:25.590
but he was a player. I'm sure money probably had
44
00:02:25.650 --> 00:02:30.780
something to do with it. And they needed him. They
45
00:02:30.810 --> 00:02:34.259
needed a name because the plan was he was going
46
00:02:34.280 --> 00:02:36.439
to continue. He was doing the managing thing. He was
47
00:02:36.460 --> 00:02:39.180
doing play-by-play. He was doing some commentary stuff.
48
00:02:39.259 --> 00:02:42.479
Executive consultant, I believe, was his title.
49
00:02:42.939 --> 00:02:49.099
Right. And so that whole situation was out of they
50
00:02:49.139 --> 00:02:53.379
needed him. And, uh, and, and Kurt stepped up the, the,
51
00:02:53.599 --> 00:02:58.139
whatever the carrot was, uh, it was worth it to him. Um, uh,
52
00:02:58.280 --> 00:03:00.900
taking that chance that, uh, he may have hurt himself
53
00:03:01.659 --> 00:03:05.819
permanently for the rest of his life. Uh, but to him,
54
00:03:05.919 --> 00:03:09.219
it was worth it. And, um, they worked out, they
55
00:03:09.240 --> 00:03:11.180
worked out a deal to get him back on the
56
00:03:11.199 --> 00:03:12.000
other side of the ropes.
57
00:03:12.939 --> 00:03:16.960
It must've happened so quickly. Like it inspires the phone
58
00:03:17.000 --> 00:03:17.520
up and just calls.
59
00:03:17.580 --> 00:03:17.979
Perfect.
60
00:03:18.379 --> 00:03:21.699
Yeah. Well, yeah, but he was already in the mix.
61
00:03:22.039 --> 00:03:25.300
But you mentioned that whole thing they do like the
62
00:03:25.819 --> 00:03:30.789
via satellite. And they had with Randy in Florida. And
63
00:03:31.409 --> 00:03:33.990
I thought that stuff was brilliant. I love it. You know,
64
00:03:34.009 --> 00:03:36.449
you look at that stuff now, it's nothing. But at
65
00:03:36.469 --> 00:03:38.610
the time, it was like, that is so cool. It
66
00:03:38.650 --> 00:03:41.409
really did look capture like they've, you know, this is
67
00:03:41.810 --> 00:03:44.860
spur of the moment. And this great new technology, we
68
00:03:44.900 --> 00:03:46.979
get these guys on, we get the answers right away.
69
00:03:47.000 --> 00:03:47.060
So.
70
00:03:49.250 --> 00:03:51.689
I loved that. I loved that whole, the way they
71
00:03:51.729 --> 00:03:52.550
put that together.
72
00:03:53.250 --> 00:03:53.469
Same.
73
00:03:54.009 --> 00:03:56.030
I was happy to see perfect back, but even when
74
00:03:56.050 --> 00:03:58.389
he shows up though, he's not wearing his classic singlet.
75
00:03:58.409 --> 00:04:01.120
He's wearing like black and on the back, it's all
76
00:04:01.219 --> 00:04:03.699
bedazzled and says, Mr. Perfect on his like rear end,
77
00:04:03.740 --> 00:04:06.219
I guess. And it was just shocking. Oh, I I'm
78
00:04:06.240 --> 00:04:08.520
so happy to see you, but what, why aren't you
79
00:04:08.539 --> 00:04:11.680
wearing your classic yellow, yellow outfit with the black on
80
00:04:11.699 --> 00:04:13.620
the front or the blue in the back? Like it
81
00:04:13.659 --> 00:04:15.500
was just so funny to see, but it was shocking
82
00:04:15.860 --> 00:04:19.449
because again, as you're watching these events unfold, Mr.
83
00:04:19.490 --> 00:04:23.990
Perfect has been a bad guy, a heel, and... And
84
00:04:24.009 --> 00:04:26.490
a good one. And a good one. And he, you know,
85
00:04:26.529 --> 00:04:28.399
who's in the corner, Mr.
86
00:04:28.420 --> 00:04:32.300
Perfect's corner is going to be Warrior Savage at SummerSlam 92.
87
00:04:32.300 --> 00:04:35.040
They beat the shit out of Macho Man multiple times.
88
00:04:35.560 --> 00:04:38.189
And yet... here we are, we need a replacement. It's
89
00:04:38.209 --> 00:04:39.089
the perfect partner.
90
00:04:39.110 --> 00:04:39.170
Mr.
91
00:04:39.689 --> 00:04:42.449
Perfect is in, uh, though, like, did you ever talk
92
00:04:42.470 --> 00:04:42.810
to Mr.
93
00:04:42.829 --> 00:04:45.769
Perfect about the situation where you're like, Oh, how you
94
00:04:45.790 --> 00:04:49.360
doing buddy? Because you know, you must not be fully healed,
95
00:04:49.379 --> 00:04:50.620
but they got you on the road now.
96
00:04:51.860 --> 00:04:55.819
Yeah. And, uh, yeah, I did have, uh, you know,
97
00:04:55.860 --> 00:05:00.649
conversations with them and, uh, you know, the way that
98
00:05:00.829 --> 00:05:02.970
you would have thought that the situation he had prior
99
00:05:02.990 --> 00:05:04.870
to that was great. You know, he didn't have to
100
00:05:04.910 --> 00:05:06.790
go in there and get beat up. He didn't have
101
00:05:06.850 --> 00:05:12.689
to travel near as much. But it's crazy with those guys.
102
00:05:12.730 --> 00:05:16.449
They miss it. And I think, yeah, and he wanted
103
00:05:16.490 --> 00:05:20.610
to get back in there. That was just who he was.
104
00:05:21.310 --> 00:05:23.689
And you see that a lot with these, with the
105
00:05:23.740 --> 00:05:27.230
guys that you know, Randy would also have the same situation.
106
00:05:27.250 --> 00:05:29.550
Probably he could, could have continued to make a lot
107
00:05:29.610 --> 00:05:33.910
of money. Uh, but that wasn't what he wanted to do.
108
00:05:33.949 --> 00:05:35.910
He wanted to be in the ring and, and, and
109
00:05:35.970 --> 00:05:39.870
Kurt was the same way. And, uh, that, and he
110
00:05:39.889 --> 00:05:40.670
lived for that life.
111
00:05:41.389 --> 00:05:41.930
He loved it.
112
00:05:42.149 --> 00:05:45.300
He loved being, uh, you know, doing all those dates and, and, uh,
113
00:05:45.540 --> 00:05:48.139
being at those arenas and hanging with the guys and
114
00:05:48.160 --> 00:05:53.040
pulling the ribs. And, and I, I know he missed it. So, uh,
115
00:05:54.069 --> 00:05:55.250
I don't, you know, I don't think it was a
116
00:05:55.290 --> 00:05:58.810
whole lot of arm twisting to get him to go. And,
117
00:05:59.009 --> 00:06:00.910
and then, and the fact that you get, and then
118
00:06:00.930 --> 00:06:02.610
you're going to be a baby, you know, kind of
119
00:06:02.730 --> 00:06:04.709
to step on that other side, you know, another new
120
00:06:04.750 --> 00:06:08.939
little challenge here to see if you can pull it off. And, uh,
121
00:06:09.000 --> 00:06:15.300
you know, uh, I, he certainly did, but come on, Mr.
122
00:06:15.360 --> 00:06:15.779
Perfect.
123
00:06:16.240 --> 00:06:18.730
Kurt Hennig was a heel down to the, down to
124
00:06:18.769 --> 00:06:23.670
his bones. So, but, um, yeah, I, I, it wasn't,
125
00:06:24.319 --> 00:06:26.300
I don't think he went in kicking and screaming. He
126
00:06:26.319 --> 00:06:28.199
was like, oh, man, I got to do this. I
127
00:06:28.220 --> 00:06:30.610
think that, you know, he embraced it.
128
00:06:31.540 --> 00:06:32.899
Well, if you need me.
129
00:06:32.980 --> 00:06:33.879
That's who Kurt was.
130
00:06:35.160 --> 00:06:35.639
He was great.
131
00:06:35.939 --> 00:06:37.360
I did enjoy him more of a heel than a
132
00:06:37.379 --> 00:06:40.120
baby face, honestly. But he still had a great, fun
133
00:06:40.170 --> 00:06:43.149
run coming back and beating Ric Flair on, like, the
134
00:06:43.189 --> 00:06:46.949
second episode of Raw where he retires Flair and he leaves.
135
00:06:47.069 --> 00:06:49.089
And that's, to me, what is even more insane about
136
00:06:49.110 --> 00:06:51.389
this whole event is, so we have no Warrior.
137
00:06:51.829 --> 00:06:52.490
We have no Hogan.
138
00:06:53.360 --> 00:06:56.839
And then Macho Man eventually goes to do commentary.
139
00:06:57.220 --> 00:06:57.879
So he's out.
140
00:06:58.339 --> 00:07:01.620
Your classic golden era main event stars are all leaving
141
00:07:01.800 --> 00:07:03.759
or doing commentary or doing something else.
1
00:00:00.550 --> 00:00:06.610
Now here is another primetime bite. And well, if Warrior's out, Mr.
2
00:00:06.650 --> 00:00:11.759
Perfect somehow randomly on an episode of primetime wrestling, where again,
3
00:00:12.060 --> 00:00:15.080
there has been no indication. There is a beef between
4
00:00:15.119 --> 00:00:18.780
Ric Flair, Mr. Perfect, Bobby Hina, Razorbone, never once. Out
5
00:00:18.800 --> 00:00:21.570
of nowhere on this random primetime episode, Mr.
6
00:00:21.609 --> 00:00:22.269
Perfect is there.
7
00:00:22.510 --> 00:00:26.469
Macho Man is live from a TV station in Sarasota.
8
00:00:26.920 --> 00:00:29.219
And he has to, you know, they're using satellites to
9
00:00:29.239 --> 00:00:32.460
do this in 1992. And he's out of nowhere saying, well,
10
00:00:32.500 --> 00:00:36.340
Warrior's out. I need a perfect partner. So throughout the show,
11
00:00:37.020 --> 00:00:39.359
Bobby Heenan is making fun of Savage. And then we
12
00:00:39.399 --> 00:00:42.549
even have Ric Flair and Razor Ramon via satellite, also
13
00:00:42.649 --> 00:00:44.070
from Charlotte, North Carolina.
14
00:00:44.109 --> 00:00:44.890
Cutting brothers.
15
00:00:45.369 --> 00:00:47.969
And they're all just beefing with each other because this
16
00:00:47.990 --> 00:00:50.070
is all has to be done now. Clearly, this was
17
00:00:50.109 --> 00:00:53.829
recorded very soon before Survivor Series. And Macho Man wants perfect.
18
00:00:54.170 --> 00:00:56.390
Bobby Heenan makes fun of him the whole episode. Eventually,
19
00:00:56.409 --> 00:00:59.810
it ends with Perfect saying, you know what? I will
20
00:00:59.869 --> 00:01:02.909
come back. I will be the perfect partner. Dumps water
21
00:01:03.049 --> 00:01:06.579
on Heenan. It's a classic moment. When did you know
22
00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:09.379
that Mr. Perfect was even cleared to wrestle?
23
00:01:11.079 --> 00:01:13.959
Well, I mean, it was about the time, and he
24
00:01:14.040 --> 00:01:20.790
wasn't ready. That was through necessity that, you know, he
25
00:01:20.829 --> 00:01:25.109
had a devastating back injury. Um, you know, people often
26
00:01:25.159 --> 00:01:27.219
talk about the, you know, the insurance and stuff that
27
00:01:27.250 --> 00:01:32.040
was involved. And I don't know how we, how we
28
00:01:32.060 --> 00:01:36.079
worked that one out, but, uh, yeah, he wasn't, uh,
29
00:01:36.459 --> 00:01:39.400
he wasn't ready to, he wasn't ring ready. Um, not,
30
00:01:39.599 --> 00:01:42.040
not even, not to the point where he was healed
31
00:01:42.200 --> 00:01:45.859
and at the point, uh, and anybody that's been in
32
00:01:45.900 --> 00:01:50.390
the ring there, I can't contest that, but, uh, at the,
33
00:01:50.790 --> 00:01:53.040
I can tell you though, but being around those guys
34
00:01:53.060 --> 00:01:54.640
that you've got to be what they call it a
35
00:01:54.680 --> 00:01:57.379
ring shape. You can't just go, you may know where
36
00:01:57.439 --> 00:02:00.180
all the, the, the steps go. You may know where
37
00:02:00.219 --> 00:02:03.540
the body's supposed to be, but you, you have to
38
00:02:03.579 --> 00:02:08.270
be in ring shape. And you know, Kurt wasn't really
39
00:02:08.330 --> 00:02:13.349
capable of doing all of that months prior. And not
40
00:02:13.389 --> 00:02:15.849
that he got out of, out of shape, you know,
41
00:02:15.909 --> 00:02:18.400
he didn't balloon up or something like that, but he wasn't,
42
00:02:18.990 --> 00:02:21.289
Wasn't ready to step back into the ring at the time,
43
00:02:21.349 --> 00:02:25.590
but he was a player. I'm sure money probably had
44
00:02:25.650 --> 00:02:30.780
something to do with it. And they needed him. They
45
00:02:30.810 --> 00:02:34.259
needed a name because the plan was he was going
46
00:02:34.280 --> 00:02:36.439
to continue. He was doing the managing thing. He was
47
00:02:36.460 --> 00:02:39.180
doing play-by-play. He was doing some commentary stuff.
48
00:02:39.259 --> 00:02:42.479
Executive consultant, I believe, was his title.
49
00:02:42.939 --> 00:02:49.099
Right. And so that whole situation was out of they
50
00:02:49.139 --> 00:02:53.379
needed him. And, uh, and, and Kurt stepped up the, the,
51
00:02:53.599 --> 00:02:58.139
whatever the carrot was, uh, it was worth it to him. Um, uh,
52
00:02:58.280 --> 00:03:00.900
taking that chance that, uh, he may have hurt himself
53
00:03:01.659 --> 00:03:05.819
permanently for the rest of his life. Uh, but to him,
54
00:03:05.919 --> 00:03:09.219
it was worth it. And, um, they worked out, they
55
00:03:09.240 --> 00:03:11.180
worked out a deal to get him back on the
56
00:03:11.199 --> 00:03:12.000
other side of the ropes.
57
00:03:12.939 --> 00:03:16.960
It must've happened so quickly. Like it inspires the phone
58
00:03:17.000 --> 00:03:17.520
up and just calls.
59
00:03:17.580 --> 00:03:17.979
Perfect.
60
00:03:18.379 --> 00:03:21.699
Yeah. Well, yeah, but he was already in the mix.
61
00:03:22.039 --> 00:03:25.300
But you mentioned that whole thing they do like the
62
00:03:25.819 --> 00:03:30.789
via satellite. And they had with Randy in Florida. And
63
00:03:31.409 --> 00:03:33.990
I thought that stuff was brilliant. I love it. You know,
64
00:03:34.009 --> 00:03:36.449
you look at that stuff now, it's nothing. But at
65
00:03:36.469 --> 00:03:38.610
the time, it was like, that is so cool. It
66
00:03:38.650 --> 00:03:41.409
really did look capture like they've, you know, this is
67
00:03:41.810 --> 00:03:44.860
spur of the moment. And this great new technology, we
68
00:03:44.900 --> 00:03:46.979
get these guys on, we get the answers right away.
69
00:03:47.000 --> 00:03:47.060
So.
70
00:03:49.250 --> 00:03:51.689
I loved that. I loved that whole, the way they
71
00:03:51.729 --> 00:03:52.550
put that together.
72
00:03:53.250 --> 00:03:53.469
Same.
73
00:03:54.009 --> 00:03:56.030
I was happy to see perfect back, but even when
74
00:03:56.050 --> 00:03:58.389
he shows up though, he's not wearing his classic singlet.
75
00:03:58.409 --> 00:04:01.120
He's wearing like black and on the back, it's all
76
00:04:01.219 --> 00:04:03.699
bedazzled and says, Mr. Perfect on his like rear end,
77
00:04:03.740 --> 00:04:06.219
I guess. And it was just shocking. Oh, I I'm
78
00:04:06.240 --> 00:04:08.520
so happy to see you, but what, why aren't you
79
00:04:08.539 --> 00:04:11.680
wearing your classic yellow, yellow outfit with the black on
80
00:04:11.699 --> 00:04:13.620
the front or the blue in the back? Like it
81
00:04:13.659 --> 00:04:15.500
was just so funny to see, but it was shocking
82
00:04:15.860 --> 00:04:19.449
because again, as you're watching these events unfold, Mr.
83
00:04:19.490 --> 00:04:23.990
Perfect has been a bad guy, a heel, and... And
84
00:04:24.009 --> 00:04:26.490
a good one. And a good one. And he, you know,
85
00:04:26.529 --> 00:04:28.399
who's in the corner, Mr.
86
00:04:28.420 --> 00:04:32.300
Perfect's corner is going to be Warrior Savage at SummerSlam 92.
87
00:04:32.300 --> 00:04:35.040
They beat the shit out of Macho Man multiple times.
88
00:04:35.560 --> 00:04:38.189
And yet... here we are, we need a replacement. It's
89
00:04:38.209 --> 00:04:39.089
the perfect partner.
90
00:04:39.110 --> 00:04:39.170
Mr.
91
00:04:39.689 --> 00:04:42.449
Perfect is in, uh, though, like, did you ever talk
92
00:04:42.470 --> 00:04:42.810
to Mr.
93
00:04:42.829 --> 00:04:45.769
Perfect about the situation where you're like, Oh, how you
94
00:04:45.790 --> 00:04:49.360
doing buddy? Because you know, you must not be fully healed,
95
00:04:49.379 --> 00:04:50.620
but they got you on the road now.
96
00:04:51.860 --> 00:04:55.819
Yeah. And, uh, yeah, I did have, uh, you know,
97
00:04:55.860 --> 00:05:00.649
conversations with them and, uh, you know, the way that
98
00:05:00.829 --> 00:05:02.970
you would have thought that the situation he had prior
99
00:05:02.990 --> 00:05:04.870
to that was great. You know, he didn't have to
100
00:05:04.910 --> 00:05:06.790
go in there and get beat up. He didn't have
101
00:05:06.850 --> 00:05:12.689
to travel near as much. But it's crazy with those guys.
102
00:05:12.730 --> 00:05:16.449
They miss it. And I think, yeah, and he wanted
103
00:05:16.490 --> 00:05:20.610
to get back in there. That was just who he was.
104
00:05:21.310 --> 00:05:23.689
And you see that a lot with these, with the
105
00:05:23.740 --> 00:05:27.230
guys that you know, Randy would also have the same situation.
106
00:05:27.250 --> 00:05:29.550
Probably he could, could have continued to make a lot
107
00:05:29.610 --> 00:05:33.910
of money. Uh, but that wasn't what he wanted to do.
108
00:05:33.949 --> 00:05:35.910
He wanted to be in the ring and, and, and
109
00:05:35.970 --> 00:05:39.870
Kurt was the same way. And, uh, that, and he
110
00:05:39.889 --> 00:05:40.670
lived for that life.
111
00:05:41.389 --> 00:05:41.930
He loved it.
112
00:05:42.149 --> 00:05:45.300
He loved being, uh, you know, doing all those dates and, and, uh,
113
00:05:45.540 --> 00:05:48.139
being at those arenas and hanging with the guys and
114
00:05:48.160 --> 00:05:53.040
pulling the ribs. And, and I, I know he missed it. So, uh,
115
00:05:54.069 --> 00:05:55.250
I don't, you know, I don't think it was a
116
00:05:55.290 --> 00:05:58.810
whole lot of arm twisting to get him to go. And,
117
00:05:59.009 --> 00:06:00.910
and then, and the fact that you get, and then
118
00:06:00.930 --> 00:06:02.610
you're going to be a baby, you know, kind of
119
00:06:02.730 --> 00:06:04.709
to step on that other side, you know, another new
120
00:06:04.750 --> 00:06:08.939
little challenge here to see if you can pull it off. And, uh,
121
00:06:09.000 --> 00:06:15.300
you know, uh, I, he certainly did, but come on, Mr.
122
00:06:15.360 --> 00:06:15.779
Perfect.
123
00:06:16.240 --> 00:06:18.730
Kurt Hennig was a heel down to the, down to
124
00:06:18.769 --> 00:06:23.670
his bones. So, but, um, yeah, I, I, it wasn't,
125
00:06:24.319 --> 00:06:26.300
I don't think he went in kicking and screaming. He
126
00:06:26.319 --> 00:06:28.199
was like, oh, man, I got to do this. I
127
00:06:28.220 --> 00:06:30.610
think that, you know, he embraced it.
128
00:06:31.540 --> 00:06:32.899
Well, if you need me.
129
00:06:32.980 --> 00:06:33.879
That's who Kurt was.
130
00:06:35.160 --> 00:06:35.639
He was great.
131
00:06:35.939 --> 00:06:37.360
I did enjoy him more of a heel than a
132
00:06:37.379 --> 00:06:40.120
baby face, honestly. But he still had a great, fun
133
00:06:40.170 --> 00:06:43.149
run coming back and beating Ric Flair on, like, the
134
00:06:43.189 --> 00:06:46.949
second episode of Raw where he retires Flair and he leaves.
135
00:06:47.069 --> 00:06:49.089
And that's, to me, what is even more insane about
136
00:06:49.110 --> 00:06:51.389
this whole event is, so we have no Warrior.
137
00:06:51.829 --> 00:06:52.490
We have no Hogan.
138
00:06:53.360 --> 00:06:56.839
And then Macho Man eventually goes to do commentary.
139
00:06:57.220 --> 00:06:57.879
So he's out.
140
00:06:58.339 --> 00:07:01.620
Your classic golden era main event stars are all leaving
141
00:07:01.800 --> 00:07:03.759
or doing commentary or doing something else.
