3-Hour SD Returns: WWE SmackDown 1/2/26 Review | RASD

WEBVTT
00:00.436 --> 00:21.313
[SPEAKER_00]: As if they don't add too much on their place The king's a combat's worth But I can't join them way They talk about the things they did that day They learn to let the world get a triple-age We want to smack down We want to smack down We want to smack down We want to smack down We want to smack down We want to smack down We want to smack down We want to smack down
00:24.905 --> 00:34.280
[SPEAKER_02]: rewind a three-hour SmackDown, so when our downloads go through the roof because I know most of you are not clinging to the three-hour era of SmackDown.
00:35.081 --> 00:45.136
[SPEAKER_01]: This is when like you pop the tape into like the tape or winder and you just wait forever and ever and ever before you return the video back to the store.
00:45.657 --> 00:48.702
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a that's a technique that
00:48.985 --> 00:53.155
[SPEAKER_02]: portion of our audience is probably never experienced the long wait of a tape re-wined.
00:53.556 --> 00:54.418
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh.
00:54.438 --> 00:54.578
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh.
00:54.599 --> 01:00.012
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be just getting static and having to adjust the tracker on your set.
01:00.573 --> 01:01.054
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh.
01:01.074 --> 01:01.656
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
01:01.856 --> 01:03.259
[SPEAKER_02]: We don't really have to deal with that anymore.
01:03.480 --> 01:03.620
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
01:03.640 --> 01:04.362
[SPEAKER_02]: Not as much.
01:05.017 --> 01:10.187
[SPEAKER_02]: We are here following SmackDown from Buffalo, New York, to kick off 206.
01:10.207 --> 01:19.684
[SPEAKER_01]: And I know they do this all the time at like, whenever they go to any town, they insult the team, but they didn't do any of that tonight.
01:20.778 --> 01:25.587
[SPEAKER_01]: I would just say like, man, they may puff a little sound even worse than it already does in my mind.
01:25.908 --> 01:29.194
[SPEAKER_02]: They'll never, they'll never live those three Super Bowl losses.
01:29.254 --> 01:34.484
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, how many of these people that are laughing at this, how many of your teams have gone to the Super Bowl?
01:35.045 --> 01:36.307
[SPEAKER_02]: Much less three years in a row.
01:37.089 --> 01:40.575
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd rather, I'd rather go to the, the Super Bowl and lose.
01:41.922 --> 01:44.206
[SPEAKER_02]: Would you really that not go at all?
01:44.386 --> 01:44.947
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
01:44.967 --> 01:45.147
[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
01:45.508 --> 01:59.070
[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I always enjoyed the Atlanta Braves in the 90s I was like they got they got one world series in that whole stretch, but man they were they were going deep almost every year I mean, I guess so I guess so well
02:00.468 --> 02:01.670
[SPEAKER_02]: Folks, it's a busy weekend.
02:01.690 --> 02:05.936
[SPEAKER_02]: It is Russell King them 20 weekend and way and I are going to be back.
02:05.956 --> 02:09.921
[SPEAKER_02]: We will have a show up for our post wrestling cafe members on Sunday.
02:10.021 --> 02:15.589
[SPEAKER_02]: You will get way and I on the free feed, Bruce Lord and Karen Peterson will be running down the show.
02:16.049 --> 02:19.354
[SPEAKER_02]: And this month, folks, it is your opportunity.
02:19.334 --> 02:21.036
[SPEAKER_02]: to beat the price increase.
02:21.277 --> 02:27.366
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, February 1st, we will be putting our price increase into effect for those at the regular level.
02:27.726 --> 02:36.539
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, it is worth noting that if you sign up before February 1st, you will get your existing price locked in for a year.
02:37.100 --> 02:40.144
[SPEAKER_02]: Conversely, if you are an existing subscriber,
02:40.124 --> 02:42.607
[SPEAKER_02]: this will not affect you until next year as well.
02:42.868 --> 02:45.872
[SPEAKER_02]: So this is going to be for people that sign up after that we were the first.
02:45.892 --> 02:47.574
[SPEAKER_02]: We did go over this on the Christmas show.
02:47.694 --> 03:01.533
[SPEAKER_02]: This was a lot of a debate and discussion that led to this decision that way and I have made, but we are trying to make it as far as possible for everyone out there and giving you a month heads up to be able to outsmart the economics of post wrestling.
03:01.713 --> 03:05.338
[SPEAKER_02]: So those that do join the post wrestling cafe way.
03:05.318 --> 03:07.021
[SPEAKER_02]: Look at this menu for this month.
03:07.161 --> 03:07.862
[SPEAKER_02]: It is going to be.
03:07.902 --> 03:09.184
[SPEAKER_02]: It's one for the ages.
03:09.424 --> 03:10.786
[SPEAKER_01]: I had to use more.
03:11.067 --> 03:11.407
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
03:12.048 --> 03:15.594
[SPEAKER_01]: Like usually I looked at a little like you know a square thumbnail for everything.
03:16.375 --> 03:21.643
[SPEAKER_01]: But this week I had to just like I had to throw a bunch of stuff on the bottom and I had to add the word more in there.
03:22.024 --> 03:22.725
[SPEAKER_01]: That's how much.
03:23.105 --> 03:26.230
[SPEAKER_01]: That's how loaded and overflowing this month's menu is.
03:27.104 --> 03:31.137
[SPEAKER_02]: So in addition to Russell Kingdom, we're gonna be doing a watch along with Brandon from New Jersey.
03:31.157 --> 03:36.053
[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna watch the Royal Rumble matches from 1990 and from 1995.
03:36.073 --> 03:39.223
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, why those?
03:40.553 --> 03:41.234
[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.
03:42.195 --> 03:43.036
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't choose something.
03:43.056 --> 03:50.867
[SPEAKER_01]: I give you a list as opposed and like listen, I guess like there were we already done a few rumble watch-alongs with Brandon, so those are kind of off the table.
03:50.927 --> 04:00.580
[SPEAKER_01]: We've done a number of recent like full reviews of these shows and I guess like 90 and 95 or two of the free ones.
04:01.221 --> 04:07.810
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, all of these matches are actually available on YouTube and we'll be sending out like like for everybody for people who would like to watch along.
04:08.853 --> 04:11.436
[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably as good answer as possible there on YouTube.
04:11.456 --> 04:12.317
[SPEAKER_02]: They're very accessible.
04:12.838 --> 04:14.080
[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to find one peacock today.
04:14.961 --> 04:22.310
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, this month on a special rewind away, it will be a tecata, tecata, a tonahashi, okata, retrospective.
04:22.350 --> 04:32.062
[SPEAKER_02]: There was nobody who could tecata that will be found on that show as we will go back and we will look at some of their best matches, not all of the catalog, but the best ones.
04:32.082 --> 04:35.046
[SPEAKER_02]: So that is coming up on rewind away this coming month.
04:35.026 --> 04:38.190
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do a special review of Impact's debut on AMC.
04:38.250 --> 04:41.033
[SPEAKER_02]: We are convincing way to sit down and watch Impact.
04:41.413 --> 04:46.158
[SPEAKER_02]: Plus, we'll have reviews of TNA Genesis, UFC 324, and the big one.
04:46.619 --> 04:52.245
[SPEAKER_02]: Circle your calendar, Cafe Members, Monday, January 12th, the best and worst of 2025.
04:52.966 --> 05:01.776
[SPEAKER_02]: As Braden Harrington, Davey Portman, waiting in myself will make our selections in all of the best and worst categories, as we say farewell to 2025.
05:02.127 --> 05:02.848
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
05:02.888 --> 05:08.015
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be sending a list of all the categories very shortly to everybody in case you guys wanted to join in as well.
05:08.035 --> 05:09.778
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be doing that live for all patrons.
05:10.318 --> 05:11.300
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I should be doing that.
05:11.901 --> 05:12.161
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
05:12.261 --> 05:12.501
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
05:12.622 --> 05:12.942
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
05:12.962 --> 05:13.102
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
05:13.122 --> 05:14.224
[SPEAKER_01]: We can announce the date right now.
05:14.384 --> 05:15.946
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, January the 12th.
05:15.966 --> 05:18.910
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so I just said it a minute ago, but um.
05:18.930 --> 05:19.431
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm sorry.
05:19.651 --> 05:19.832
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
05:19.912 --> 05:22.555
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, uh, sorry to steal the thunder.
05:22.896 --> 05:23.637
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, apologies.
05:23.677 --> 05:26.100
[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes I don't pay attention to you.
05:26.521 --> 05:30.987
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, but I'm not talking about Madison Rain.
05:31.321 --> 05:38.710
[SPEAKER_01]: January of the 12th is when we'll be doing that show for all patrons and then at some point later on the week everybody will be able to listen to that one as well.
05:39.270 --> 05:48.901
[SPEAKER_02]: Is this your most, is this a closest thing to like writing a writing a final exam that this line of work comes to you?
05:48.921 --> 05:52.806
[SPEAKER_02]: Like you put a lot of work into your list every year and this is not a last minute deal for you.
05:53.444 --> 05:54.706
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, no, it is.
05:54.726 --> 05:57.109
[SPEAKER_01]: It certainly is.
05:57.129 --> 05:57.851
[SPEAKER_01]: So I let me correct.
05:57.871 --> 06:01.816
[SPEAKER_02]: This is not like a rewind away where you're going to wake up Monday morning and put your list together.
06:02.177 --> 06:02.798
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
06:02.858 --> 06:03.058
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
06:03.158 --> 06:03.359
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
06:03.479 --> 06:03.699
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
06:04.120 --> 06:06.163
[SPEAKER_02]: I feel you'll at least start it on the Sunday.
06:06.704 --> 06:07.184
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
06:07.304 --> 06:07.565
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
06:08.306 --> 06:08.967
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
06:09.007 --> 06:12.432
[SPEAKER_01]: I suppose for me that that's a long-term project.
06:13.205 --> 06:15.769
[SPEAKER_02]: So post wrestling, cafe.com, jump on board.
06:15.789 --> 06:19.194
[SPEAKER_02]: It will be quite the month looking forward to it.
06:19.594 --> 06:20.836
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, just a quick mention here.
06:21.677 --> 06:31.832
[SPEAKER_01]: John and Neil and Jack and Eniel have put in a lot of work into her double-tears over the past year.
06:32.133 --> 06:38.342
[SPEAKER_01]: And now it's a pretty full-fledged, I would say, offering where we got an excellent edition of Book Club from John and Neil.
06:38.702 --> 06:42.047
[SPEAKER_01]: This past week, talking about the Natalia and Ihard Book.
06:42.027 --> 06:43.370
[SPEAKER_01]: Great, listen, John.
06:43.871 --> 06:52.248
[SPEAKER_01]: I needed this podcast last night as I was Cleaning up my kitchen because we had we have an unfortunate mice infestation.
06:52.629 --> 06:57.980
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man, we do too Well, we have a mouse and I I want to capture this thing.
06:58.221 --> 06:59.884
[SPEAKER_01]: It's uh, how do you know you only have one?
07:00.640 --> 07:02.023
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that.
07:02.424 --> 07:04.369
[SPEAKER_02]: I've only seen one at a time.
07:04.770 --> 07:06.975
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you don't know what you don't see.
07:07.115 --> 07:09.401
[SPEAKER_01]: And one can turn into several very quickly.
07:09.581 --> 07:10.403
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk offline.
07:10.443 --> 07:11.165
[SPEAKER_02]: I need strategies.
07:11.706 --> 07:11.967
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
07:12.087 --> 07:16.858
[SPEAKER_02]: So, but then this was, when you get a waiting text, I mean, it just, it just uplifts here.
07:16.898 --> 07:17.600
[SPEAKER_02]: You're entire day.
07:18.422 --> 07:19.324
[SPEAKER_01]: That's it, really.
07:19.304 --> 07:21.127
[SPEAKER_01]: Excellent podcast from you and Neil.
07:21.287 --> 07:33.085
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll talk about that book, but then also post news updates from John from Neil from Jack on a pretty much like daily basis talking about the days top stories and audio form exclusively for double double Patients.
07:33.366 --> 07:40.938
[SPEAKER_01]: That price does not change so at the rest of the years still I told dollars for the rest of Maybe eternity Yeah, in perpetuity.
07:40.978 --> 07:47.067
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, those ones will say the same as will the espresso level for The ones out there that want to
07:47.249 --> 07:59.503
[SPEAKER_02]: dictate what what we watch what maybe someday someone will pick the January second 2026 edition of SmackDown from Buffalo and we'll be looking back the golden age of SmackDown.
07:59.804 --> 08:02.609
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, all that can be found at post wrestlingcapade.com.
08:02.629 --> 08:09.259
[SPEAKER_02]: We now shift gears and head to Buffalo, where Russell ticks announcement of tickets distributed 8,852.
08:09.299 --> 08:16.331
[SPEAKER_02]: Now they were there in March the third of last year for Raw, drawing 13,861.
08:17.853 --> 08:21.880
[SPEAKER_02]: So they were down 36%.
08:22.231 --> 08:29.502
[SPEAKER_02]: I saw a lot of people online, speculating about the weather, I don't know, crush that holds up.
08:29.842 --> 08:30.483
[SPEAKER_01]: That could be.
08:30.703 --> 08:31.284
[SPEAKER_02]: It's cool.
08:31.605 --> 08:32.025
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe.
08:32.065 --> 08:32.186
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe.
08:32.266 --> 08:43.562
[SPEAKER_02]: The 13,861 went to the show back in March and felt pretty shitty about having to be a buffalo sports fan and that was the residual effect of the next time around.
08:43.883 --> 08:46.787
[SPEAKER_02]: They'll be lucky to have 6,000 next time.
08:47.122 --> 08:54.733
[SPEAKER_01]: It could be all of these things, but, you know, I mean, March really was, you would consider the build towards where I'll rumble.
08:54.833 --> 08:57.016
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you could not get the product if it had harder back then.
08:57.296 --> 09:01.082
[SPEAKER_02]: That was right after the, that was right after the turn.
09:01.522 --> 09:06.810
[SPEAKER_02]: It was the Monday after elimination chamber, because they went from Toronto to Buffalo.
09:06.910 --> 09:12.918
[SPEAKER_02]: So that was, you know, coming off a really, like the biggest angle they shot all year.
09:13.319 --> 09:13.740
[SPEAKER_02]: And as well.
09:13.780 --> 09:16.183
[SPEAKER_02]: So it is worth noting that difference as well.
09:16.737 --> 09:22.374
[SPEAKER_02]: Michael Cole welcomes us to Buffalo where the bills host the lousy jets on Sunday.
09:22.795 --> 09:31.000
[SPEAKER_02]: He reminds us and Corey Graves promises us more superstars, more action and more memories in 2020.
09:32.515 --> 09:33.657
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
09:34.498 --> 09:35.379
[SPEAKER_02]: More action.
09:35.720 --> 09:37.102
[SPEAKER_02]: It's very unquantifiable.
09:37.162 --> 09:40.146
[SPEAKER_02]: Like could we get a chart of action year by year?
09:40.486 --> 09:49.359
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he by that he means like more in-ring time in-ring content, which I I feel like with an extra hour this like that checks out.
09:50.921 --> 09:52.483
[SPEAKER_02]: The Miz starts off SmackDown.
09:53.325 --> 09:55.347
[SPEAKER_02]: He wants to air his grievances from the last year.
09:55.568 --> 10:02.117
[SPEAKER_02]: All he wanted was a final match in moment with John Cena to close their story and I should have been the one to tap
10:03.532 --> 10:05.496
[SPEAKER_02]: and seen a smile to often to the sunset.
10:05.817 --> 10:08.302
[SPEAKER_02]: Meanwhile, I'm stuck here in Buffalo.
10:09.124 --> 10:09.505
[SPEAKER_02]: That's one.
10:10.567 --> 10:20.207
[SPEAKER_02]: He offered his mentorship to the young talent, but was met with entitlement and ungratefulness and says how he got passed over for Marty Supreme.
10:21.537 --> 10:22.058
[SPEAKER_02]: Have you seen it?
10:22.438 --> 10:23.500
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I have seen it.
10:23.520 --> 10:24.081
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you have.
10:24.321 --> 10:24.562
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
10:25.082 --> 10:25.323
[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
10:25.363 --> 10:28.407
[SPEAKER_02]: You went to the theater and I did.
10:28.427 --> 10:29.289
[SPEAKER_02]: I went to this theater.
10:29.910 --> 10:30.751
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
10:30.771 --> 10:31.051
[SPEAKER_02]: Full.
10:31.612 --> 10:33.275
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I had to sit next to people.
10:33.675 --> 10:34.116
[SPEAKER_02]: Full.
10:34.136 --> 10:34.296
[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
10:34.597 --> 10:38.082
[SPEAKER_02]: It was completely packed and at the end of it.
10:38.823 --> 10:41.267
[SPEAKER_02]: The whole theater applauded.
10:41.855 --> 10:42.596
[SPEAKER_02]: You're kidding me.
10:42.636 --> 10:43.917
[SPEAKER_02]: They all started applauding.
10:43.937 --> 10:45.059
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, what are we doing here?
10:45.119 --> 10:46.620
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's it's a really good movie.
10:46.640 --> 10:52.367
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, dude, it was a very clear win of which Safty brother, um, had the better release.
10:52.627 --> 10:53.148
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
10:53.168 --> 10:53.888
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'll do respect.
10:53.968 --> 10:54.990
[SPEAKER_01]: You went to a full theater.
10:55.050 --> 10:56.231
[SPEAKER_01]: So I would say they already won.
10:57.773 --> 11:02.898
[SPEAKER_02]: I think my theater won out through the global intake for the smashing machine.
11:03.119 --> 11:03.859
[SPEAKER_02]: No, this movie.
11:04.000 --> 11:06.122
[SPEAKER_02]: It's I don't want to give away too much about it.
11:06.402 --> 11:07.103
[SPEAKER_02]: Um,
11:07.083 --> 11:07.724
[SPEAKER_02]: it's excellent.
11:07.764 --> 11:12.575
[SPEAKER_02]: Timothy Shalame is amazing in it, but there are several incredible performances in this.
11:14.619 --> 11:15.301
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm excited.
11:15.561 --> 11:16.564
[SPEAKER_02]: You know Kevin O'Leary?
11:17.786 --> 11:26.425
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I heard the Cody Rose interviews, so I heard them like thought, oh, I did not hear the Cody Rhodes interview, but so many other, like,
11:26.624 --> 11:41.798
[SPEAKER_02]: like media podcasts I listen to have brought up this interview that Timothy Shalame did like where he was so into wrestling and I have not really this but apparently yeah anyway um Kevin O'Leary yeah like this is the dude from Shark Tank very um
11:42.132 --> 11:53.006
[SPEAKER_02]: disliked figure in Canada to say the least, non-actor, and got cast for this role, and I hate to say it, but he was an incredible, incredible villain in this movie.
11:53.146 --> 11:59.975
[SPEAKER_01]: This is pretty much everything, like every person who said something about Kim and O'Larry has said, basically the same thing.
12:00.355 --> 12:01.857
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even follow this guy all that much.
12:01.877 --> 12:03.399
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate to shit out of this guy.
12:03.439 --> 12:07.785
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the worst piece of shit in the world, but I have to say great performance.
12:07.765 --> 12:24.457
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know why people have such a hang up about like like awful people can still be really talented like that that can't happen So yeah, okay I'm excited right it's it's it's a really good movie way, so when you when you get a chance I'll try not to fall asleep through it.
12:24.737 --> 12:26.601
[SPEAKER_02]: You can't take Oscar to see this one though
12:26.902 --> 12:31.691
[SPEAKER_02]: Definitely not not not for the kids, but I definitely get to my my thumbs up.
12:32.372 --> 12:32.693
[SPEAKER_02]: The myth.
12:33.454 --> 12:44.775
[SPEAKER_02]: The myth is not playing the Timothy Shalame lead role says that he he he refrains from saying Joe Henry's name, but he brought back a nickname of his.
12:44.755 --> 13:07.573
[SPEAKER_02]: as the crowd chance tiny balls which he says will not become a thing again it's like oh my god I am ready to turn the show off at this point like it's just they're trying to drive me shows three hours it needs it needs content and um tiny balls is is content they'll get us through those third hours he's the new face of WWE and
13:07.823 --> 13:21.698
[SPEAKER_02]: Unlike Buffalo, I actually win championships, and I am the leader in the room, the adult in the room, and a locker room leader, and he is cut off by the returning Randy Orton.
13:22.285 --> 13:41.014
[SPEAKER_02]: in his size, medium buffalo sabers, Orton crossover shirt that he is just bulging through, comes out and Miss says it's good to have Randy back and clarify as we are the adults in the room, we are the leaders and faces of WWE and you and I could be Miss K.O.
13:41.555 --> 13:46.723
[SPEAKER_02]: And with that, Randy gives him an RKO, then a second one while wishing him a happy New Year.
13:47.986 --> 13:48.987
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's right.
13:49.047 --> 13:49.628
[SPEAKER_01]: Randy's back.
13:50.630 --> 14:05.670
[SPEAKER_01]: He's back and he's got like I guess he's now that they don't have seen a you know with this every location you know get the t-shirt type of thing they're doing a Randy Orton one, RQ everything, puffle of sabers.
14:06.471 --> 14:09.194
[SPEAKER_01]: So what a collector's item this will be.
14:09.575 --> 14:14.061
[SPEAKER_01]: What of fine this will be someday in a thrift store for somebody like a
14:14.041 --> 14:15.142
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, really?
14:15.162 --> 14:15.562
[SPEAKER_01]: You bought this?
14:16.303 --> 14:17.724
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone, Buffalo, trust me.
14:17.744 --> 14:24.210
[SPEAKER_01]: What the way these wrestling shirts seem to be valued, I mean, this could be $5,000 in like, you know, 30 years or something like that.
14:24.631 --> 14:28.294
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't get a great view of the crowd, but I didn't see any of these shirts being worn.
14:28.754 --> 14:32.398
[SPEAKER_02]: Like this is a color of shirt that stands out among wrestling shirts.
14:32.758 --> 14:34.319
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, this would be a spoiler, okay?
14:34.379 --> 14:37.402
[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe they weren't telling it until after this appearance.
14:37.722 --> 14:43.828
[SPEAKER_02]: That would be pretty stupid for a Buffalo Saber shirt that we're not gonna sell at the show
14:43.808 --> 14:46.895
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think this will play that well next week in Berlin.
14:49.460 --> 14:50.783
[SPEAKER_01]: You never know, you never know.
14:51.525 --> 14:58.881
[SPEAKER_01]: So three hours shows, you know, clearly mean more time for longer promo segments and longer promo segments for guys like the Miz here.
14:59.198 --> 15:01.520
[SPEAKER_01]: Listen to our show and everything's just longer.
15:01.740 --> 15:03.101
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's the theme here.
15:03.261 --> 15:04.623
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think it's two hours so what?
15:04.703 --> 15:08.186
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, okay, in the two hours so you, this might have been like a, like a one minute thing.
15:08.266 --> 15:10.227
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Randy or what have come out, Arcade him.
15:10.367 --> 15:12.129
[SPEAKER_01]: This, I guess you, he wouldn't have gotten an entrance.
15:12.149 --> 15:14.391
[SPEAKER_01]: He would have just popped up from ringside and Arcade him.
15:14.751 --> 15:15.372
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
15:15.392 --> 15:17.493
[SPEAKER_01]: That would have kind of like five minutes of him walking to the ring.
15:17.734 --> 15:19.795
[SPEAKER_01]: This is what a three hour version of this segment looks like.
15:19.835 --> 15:20.916
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you're letting it breathe.
15:21.457 --> 15:23.338
[SPEAKER_01]: And listen, like we, we joke about the miss.
15:24.139 --> 15:28.783
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think he actually does a great job delivering these types of like heel character,
15:30.130 --> 15:40.921
[SPEAKER_01]: He's the doofus of the program that everyone gets to shine at the expense of and like for a guy who used to be The world-chaping used to be a main event or hasn't been over a decade.
15:41.441 --> 15:52.853
[SPEAKER_01]: I actually like I since he still puts a lot of effort into just like whatever He like this whatever this is, right so Is that in my office?
15:54.214 --> 16:00.120
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think I think he's a guy that will you know attacks his role with a lot of
16:00.860 --> 16:02.321
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he's not, he's not checked out.
16:02.421 --> 16:03.743
[SPEAKER_02]: I never watched this guy in field.
16:03.763 --> 16:06.004
[SPEAKER_02]: Like this guy's just phoning it in.
16:06.265 --> 16:07.426
[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's very committed.
16:07.506 --> 16:14.412
[SPEAKER_02]: And any, he more than anything has had longevity based off the fact that he adapts to any role they give him.
16:14.852 --> 16:17.134
[SPEAKER_02]: And he is going to make it work.
16:17.735 --> 16:27.423
[SPEAKER_02]: And, and it's gotten him like this incredible run of a career that if you had told me when I first saw this guy pop up on SmackDown 20 years ago, would still be around.
16:27.583 --> 16:29.685
[SPEAKER_02]: I would have thought you were out of your goddamn mind.
16:29.665 --> 16:39.622
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, but even for somebody in a role like this, I guess you still have your questions about like, well, how much are they actually bringing to, you know, to the table?
16:40.243 --> 16:47.596
[SPEAKER_01]: Shoulda even a spot like this be yours or for somebody who's maybe presently in an NXT that could be the jester on the show.
16:48.157 --> 16:51.302
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to have that discussion on on on this show.
16:51.282 --> 16:58.580
[SPEAKER_02]: The Kabuki warriors meet with Jax and Lash legend, they're going to help them win tonight, but then they want a title shot and you will owe us.
16:58.961 --> 17:01.166
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, them for an eight woman tag win.
17:01.747 --> 17:04.093
[SPEAKER_02]: And Oscar says, we'll owe you a beating.
17:04.883 --> 17:12.574
[SPEAKER_02]: So Randy meets with Cody Rhodes in the back and says, once you beat Drew, I just wanna tell you to your face that I'm coming for that title.
17:13.014 --> 17:13.615
[SPEAKER_02]: Out of respect.
17:14.376 --> 17:14.877
[SPEAKER_02]: And that was it.
17:15.037 --> 17:19.824
[SPEAKER_02]: That was all for Randy, a great night of work if you can get it.
17:20.505 --> 17:21.246
[SPEAKER_02]: And all this walks in.
17:21.586 --> 17:29.237
[SPEAKER_02]: Drew will try to get under your skin tonight and reminds Cody what will happen if you put a hand on him and Cody tells Drew, not to worry.
17:29.217 --> 17:35.784
[SPEAKER_02]: So the eight woman tag, Kabuki Warriors, Lash legend, and Naya Jax against Rio, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss.
17:36.004 --> 17:41.329
[SPEAKER_02]: So again, take what this match would have been, which would probably have been seven minutes with a commercial break.
17:41.349 --> 17:43.472
[SPEAKER_02]: It's now 14 minutes with two commercial breaks.
17:43.952 --> 17:47.155
[SPEAKER_02]: And they got the advantage on on Bliss for a long period.
17:47.276 --> 17:57.486
[SPEAKER_02]: And they pretty much just built up to hot tags to each of the
17:57.466 --> 18:12.488
[SPEAKER_02]: Io got a major pop when she came in and reagats yanked off the apron so they get the heat on her and after the second commercial break reagats tagged in she goes for a riptide and is stopped by Naya Jax as Oscar distracts the referee.
18:12.468 --> 18:14.312
[SPEAKER_02]: Oscar's taking out with a sister Abigail.
18:14.572 --> 18:15.554
[SPEAKER_02]: Lash takes out Bliss.
18:15.835 --> 18:27.098
[SPEAKER_02]: Rean knocks down Lash and then Kyrie comes off the top is caught by Rhea and turned into the rip tide and it's yo with the over-the-moon salt pinning Kyrie in 14 minutes and 33 seconds.
18:27.278 --> 18:33.531
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a strong win for the challengers pinning the champions heading into Mondayshow in Brooklyn.
18:33.511 --> 18:38.518
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt it was a fun multi-person tag match that built well to it's hot tags.
18:38.578 --> 18:49.454
[SPEAKER_01]: For me, I sent the card really engaged through it, I would at all, and I think it really does show the difference when you have the stars of the Raw Women's Division on SmackDown.
18:49.894 --> 19:00.750
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like this match, I thought the energy was very much centered around EO via and the Kabuki Warriors, and I hope this means they continue.
19:00.730 --> 19:07.761
[SPEAKER_01]: To stay on the show because I think the spectrum divisions definitely needs them But I also felt like Lash Lichon here continue to gain some value.
19:07.801 --> 19:25.168
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, she I'd say she looks fine and ring comfortable playing the bully with Naya But she had this big Anti-air big boot to EO that was perfectly timed and I thought that to me was enough to leave a pretty strong lasting impression for her So she continues to I think do really well in this role
19:26.583 --> 19:28.887
[SPEAKER_02]: All this is in the back with Jordan Grace.
19:29.508 --> 19:32.573
[SPEAKER_02]: And he is trying to recruit Jordan for SmackDown.
19:32.994 --> 19:34.616
[SPEAKER_02]: Chelsea Green and Alba Fire come in.
19:34.676 --> 19:35.959
[SPEAKER_02]: They dismiss Jordan.
19:36.520 --> 19:42.209
[SPEAKER_02]: And Green says, I can't go out there tonight because of the emotional ending to stranger things.
19:42.930 --> 19:45.855
[SPEAKER_02]: And all this says, why don't you be a fighting champion?
19:45.995 --> 19:50.042
[SPEAKER_02]: And Chelsea says, I am fighting on the internet.
19:52.148 --> 20:08.233
[SPEAKER_02]: that's how this ended and this was the first of several segments with Jordan Grace on the show who you can add to the list of being a part of the NXT promotional class that are coming to the main roster so they are just they are just stripping NXT.
20:08.213 --> 20:11.958
[SPEAKER_01]: interesting to see them like essentially do something very different this year.
20:11.998 --> 20:17.866
[SPEAKER_01]: We're like it seems like we're going to get an influx of NXT columns like in January, like pre-rumble.
20:18.367 --> 20:20.730
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see how that plays out.
20:20.790 --> 20:23.935
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I have to, I hope that it's relatively well thought out.
20:24.175 --> 20:28.341
[SPEAKER_01]: What does it mean for NXT to be like disseminated for, you know, come January?
20:28.361 --> 20:31.605
[SPEAKER_02]: But that's- I'm less concerned about NXT like there are-
20:31.585 --> 20:36.773
[SPEAKER_02]: they should be constantly in this cycle of like, like, you shouldn't be here.
20:37.174 --> 20:38.556
[SPEAKER_02]: Super long.
20:38.576 --> 20:38.676
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
20:38.696 --> 20:41.701
[SPEAKER_02]: But the thing is, like, they stack up, they did this last year.
20:41.741 --> 20:45.887
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they stack up, smack down in particular, because it's getting the extra hour.
20:46.228 --> 20:48.652
[SPEAKER_02]: The problem is come to and it goes back to two hours.
20:49.072 --> 20:51.857
[SPEAKER_02]: And then, like, where are all these people going to be?
20:51.877 --> 20:53.239
[SPEAKER_02]: And we've, uh,
20:53.219 --> 20:55.543
[SPEAKER_02]: I was sad that I had mine for the future.
20:55.964 --> 20:56.485
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's it.
20:56.726 --> 21:00.493
[SPEAKER_02]: But then we're also signing people as well as we will get to in our next match.
21:01.114 --> 21:06.003
[SPEAKER_01]: Because then you don't hear from them for half a year, much like the tight division on SmackDown.
21:06.785 --> 21:13.017
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I had my flashlight out, did not spot Mr. Shelley or Mr. Saban on this three-hour SmackDown.
21:13.057 --> 21:14.179
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought we were like street profits.
21:14.199 --> 21:15.261
[SPEAKER_01]: Where have they been?
21:15.241 --> 21:17.770
[SPEAKER_02]: They're in the abyss somewhere.
21:18.974 --> 21:19.075
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
21:19.095 --> 21:21.302
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't bench be hanging out with a bit in the back.
21:21.403 --> 21:21.885
[SPEAKER_02]: They might be.
21:22.005 --> 21:23.029
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
21:23.089 --> 21:24.092
[SPEAKER_02]: Jordan Grace has a call.
21:24.112 --> 21:25.919
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think?
21:25.939 --> 21:26.280
[SPEAKER_02]: Um.
21:27.712 --> 21:36.301
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I figured like she came in at probably like a pretty good deal and I didn't see her being long in NXT.
21:36.321 --> 21:40.024
[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't say the NXT run was all that memorable that she had.
21:40.605 --> 21:43.448
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what she really gained in NXT to be honest.
21:43.488 --> 21:47.812
[SPEAKER_01]: Like when she made that debut at the rumble, you can argue she was already ready.
21:48.533 --> 21:53.938
[SPEAKER_02]: Like she did the feud with Blake Monroe and then they were kind of just
21:54.053 --> 21:58.325
[SPEAKER_02]: like they were kind of teasing this heel turn like she was eventually going to turn on via hail.
21:58.947 --> 22:09.075
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but doesn't feel like they're going to, it looks like they're just, you know, it felt like they were just starting something with via hail and they're just moving on from that if she's getting the call up now.
22:09.055 --> 22:25.292
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if the idea is to like, you know, just like bring up new talent for NXT to help smack down, I would have made the argument that like she was she was probably needed like six months ago, you know, because this show has such a
22:25.272 --> 22:26.355
[SPEAKER_01]: At least poorly booked.
22:26.375 --> 22:28.620
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not necessarily going to say just like weak talent.
22:28.640 --> 22:28.841
[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
22:28.881 --> 22:32.309
[SPEAKER_01]: But a very poorly booked take division that like surrounding.
22:32.410 --> 22:32.770
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
22:32.851 --> 22:34.635
[SPEAKER_01]: Me, chin, bfab, all the stuff.
22:34.936 --> 22:37.221
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that could have really used Jordan Grace throughout all that time.
22:37.302 --> 22:39.046
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think she sorely needed.
22:39.126 --> 22:40.750
[SPEAKER_01]: I imagine she'll stay on SmackDown.
22:41.860 --> 22:45.787
[SPEAKER_02]: But thankfully, this is the one bright spot, okay, of these three-hour smack-downs.
22:46.688 --> 22:57.287
[SPEAKER_02]: Kit Wilson, he comes out and for all the talk about WWE theme songs and boy, there are not a whole lot of pleasant things to say about them.
22:57.267 --> 23:02.316
[SPEAKER_02]: Get Wilson came out to like the best theme I've heard in the longest time.
23:02.356 --> 23:06.184
[SPEAKER_02]: He is this guy's my favorite character on SmackDown.
23:06.524 --> 23:13.437
[SPEAKER_01]: I swear I never I didn't text on I didn't talk to him once throughout the course of this like show.
23:13.417 --> 23:15.159
[SPEAKER_01]: I had the exact same match.
23:15.179 --> 23:17.042
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this was so good.
23:17.222 --> 23:21.908
[SPEAKER_02]: This, like, dude, this guy wouldn't have even to be getting an entrance a week ago.
23:22.228 --> 23:24.070
[SPEAKER_02]: And here, this is the best part of this guy.
23:24.090 --> 23:29.778
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this entrance, it feels like a commercial, like, pop song that he's coming out to.
23:29.878 --> 23:38.749
[SPEAKER_02]: It's so unlike a WWE theme where it's just like catchphrase off the top into some dire, some fucking instrumental.
23:38.729 --> 23:42.333
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, and now for all we know, maybe it was all AI generated or something.
23:42.533 --> 23:43.094
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care.
23:43.454 --> 23:43.935
[SPEAKER_02]: It's fine.
23:44.155 --> 23:45.757
[SPEAKER_02]: This is, this is, I'm in favor of AI.
23:45.877 --> 23:49.841
[SPEAKER_01]: If it was made by the person who entered our Christmas theme song contest.
23:50.261 --> 23:50.662
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
23:51.202 --> 23:55.267
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I think the, the tron, I, I even think that's awesome.
23:56.588 --> 24:03.015
[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like this guy is, at least being somewhat hands on, because I just can't imagine this level of attention being,
24:04.143 --> 24:06.105
[SPEAKER_01]: It's given part here, Wilson each week.
24:06.125 --> 24:12.231
[SPEAKER_01]: Is this part of that injured that like they see, like, I mean, I don't know if it pretty deadly is going to be a thing anymore.
24:12.251 --> 24:13.512
[SPEAKER_01]: He's been out a long time.
24:13.532 --> 24:14.794
[SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't he a shoulder as well?
24:15.835 --> 24:18.417
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, I don't know anywhere.
24:18.437 --> 24:27.266
[SPEAKER_02]: So he cuts a promo on the toxic sports fans in Buffalo, or if three, how Bill's mafia is toxic for.
24:27.806 --> 24:33.492
[SPEAKER_02]: And then he is confronted by his opponent.
24:34.079 --> 24:43.828
[SPEAKER_02]: No folks, he comes out in his graphics that reads Zach Ryder, go to black, and then our recristened Matt Cardona.
24:45.112 --> 24:48.983
[SPEAKER_02]: And then Michael Cole has to bring attention to this, like wait a minute.
24:49.368 --> 24:54.575
[SPEAKER_02]: Did you see he went from Zach Ryder to Matt Cardona?
24:55.397 --> 25:14.464
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like in what logic in the world of this company does this like this could've been a nice little subtlety that you catch on like I can see what's happening here but to have the lead and answer then explain this to me like please tell me is how is he two different people here
25:15.929 --> 25:21.478
[SPEAKER_02]: I could explain the in-story line like what this was within the context of this program.
25:22.039 --> 25:27.888
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, you know, wrestlers just have many names, um, I think that was my nickname.
25:27.928 --> 25:29.711
[SPEAKER_01]: That's one of my friends called me Zach Ryder.
25:29.992 --> 25:31.714
[SPEAKER_01]: We've we've come to accept that have we not.
25:31.835 --> 25:40.789
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, somebody could be, um, like Ron, Ron Killing's one point and then our truth the next.
25:40.769 --> 25:47.258
[SPEAKER_02]: But these are two very clear like government names is what it feels like as opposed to like, you know, our truth.
25:47.478 --> 25:52.204
[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, you know, at least with the truth we had a promo, justifying it, are you suggesting like this?
25:52.264 --> 26:00.114
[SPEAKER_02]: We just got the graphics change and he's Matt Cardona and they also announced he is now officially part of the SmackDown roster.
26:00.615 --> 26:02.878
[SPEAKER_01]: The simple answer is, um,
26:02.858 --> 26:22.555
[SPEAKER_01]: because okay because but also like Zach Radar I think this is just my my head candid about maybe they're just a vacation for Zach Radar was was very much like a you know like comedic low card guy maybe they feel like Cardona's done a great enough job outside of the WWE rebranding himself.
26:22.535 --> 26:50.770
[SPEAKER_01]: to make himself feel like a more serious persona that that is like I do ask you know because not they did not feel that way a month ago when he lost the in the scene at tournament it's a good question but like they don't allow just anybody to come in with their actual names you know they so I wonder if like what sort of bargaining chip he might have had or if they just saw value in having my Matt Cardona instead I don't know if all those interviews he did gave him a ton of bargaining power
26:50.750 --> 26:51.631
[SPEAKER_01]: You're right.
26:51.992 --> 27:04.170
[SPEAKER_02]: This guy's wanted to come back, like, I don't know, I'll sit the moment he'd left like it's like, you know that scene in Seinfeld when when like cramers like meeting with them and they offer him like like the first thought he's like Deal.
27:04.571 --> 27:05.032
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
27:05.052 --> 27:05.472
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
27:05.492 --> 27:07.496
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I feel that's how the negotiations might have gone.
27:07.516 --> 27:07.976
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
27:07.996 --> 27:08.878
[SPEAKER_02]: But hey, he got his name.
27:08.898 --> 27:09.939
[SPEAKER_02]: I credit to him here.
27:10.220 --> 27:11.121
[SPEAKER_02]: Now
27:11.303 --> 27:32.865
[SPEAKER_02]: all those aside, listen, there's a lot of people there, fans of Matt Cardona, like this to me is one where when we are looking at this, like this is, this is a roster that it's, it's crowded at the best of times, and yes, we are getting this extra hour here, but there are all these callups at this point, like is this, like where is Matt Cardona going to be in six months?
27:33.065 --> 27:37.750
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't think you're signing a guy with the intent that this guy is going to be
27:37.730 --> 27:40.014
[SPEAKER_02]: like a main event level talent.
27:40.034 --> 27:45.543
[SPEAKER_02]: I would think your absolute ceiling would be something approximating an LA night.
27:45.603 --> 27:49.390
[SPEAKER_02]: To me, that would be your best case scenario for a Mac cardona.
27:50.391 --> 27:51.914
[SPEAKER_02]: But do you like this signing?
27:51.934 --> 28:03.754
[SPEAKER_02]: Like does in the overall roster construction that they are making and at a time when you are introducing all these other younger stars?
28:03.734 --> 28:05.978
[SPEAKER_01]: So, we know this is a very creative person.
28:06.179 --> 28:10.927
[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, we know this is a person who has the ability to, like, get over on his own.
28:11.468 --> 28:16.638
[SPEAKER_01]: I think what he did coming off of the WWE really is quite remarkable.
28:16.798 --> 28:23.110
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the his ability to rebrand himself as the king of the Indies, like, was terrific, really, for a time.
28:23.090 --> 28:39.006
[SPEAKER_01]: And coming back to the WWE, I don't know if like what the appeal is because I think the appeal of having a Mac cardona in GCW was that you had such a WWE guide wrestling WWE style looking like a typical WWE candle type of character.
28:38.986 --> 28:41.230
[SPEAKER_01]: in a GCW, right?
28:41.391 --> 28:42.393
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it works so well.
28:42.773 --> 28:46.500
[SPEAKER_01]: In the WWE, he just looks like a generic WWE guy, right?
28:46.761 --> 28:52.151
[SPEAKER_01]: So what exactly is going to be the twist of this particular character that might might make things interesting?
28:52.572 --> 28:58.243
[SPEAKER_01]: On the surface if we're just getting like, I don't know, another Zach Ryder retread that to me just not interest me at all.
28:58.223 --> 29:07.635
[SPEAKER_01]: The interest to me would be to see what he could do with Chelsea Green if he gets paired up with her And I thought that role might have been for Ethan Page, you know, can call up.
29:07.895 --> 29:20.471
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I feel like Cardano Green probably makes a bit more sense at this point So I'll say this after watching that guy for the past year if there's a guy that has earned himself a main roster spot It is Ethan page.
29:20.571 --> 29:24.957
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that guy's been one of the most like under
29:24.937 --> 29:32.406
[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't even say underundirated, but like it is, like that guy has made the most of this transition to NXT.
29:32.446 --> 29:37.152
[SPEAKER_02]: He was not looked upon as like the sexiest pick-up of X-A-E-W talent.
29:37.613 --> 29:41.738
[SPEAKER_02]: And man, he has, he's just on a terrific job.
29:41.778 --> 29:53.813
[SPEAKER_02]: And I would say he is, he is outgrow and NXT and by extension like AAA, but you know, he's someone that clearly have a lot of confidence in just
29:53.962 --> 30:12.780
[SPEAKER_01]: 100% and when i mentioned like okay not to say like he should be like in a misrule but even somebody in a misrule like could be taken by somebody like a like a neat and page not not to say he should be in that position he should be put a lot a lot stronger coming in but
30:12.760 --> 30:24.539
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, maybe his destination is wrong, you know, maybe maybe, but for Cardona getting back to that I see his ultimate destination doing something with Chelsea, you know, I think like that could be entertaining.
30:24.840 --> 30:25.241
[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
30:26.423 --> 30:30.029
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe there'll be on opposite sides of a mix mix nuts tag.
30:32.192 --> 30:35.798
[SPEAKER_02]: That tends to be, um, not that unusual.
30:35.778 --> 30:41.424
[SPEAKER_02]: So Wilson slips out of the corner and he kicks out Cardona's legs and dude.
30:41.464 --> 30:55.279
[SPEAKER_02]: He just smashed his head coming down onto the mat and calls Cardona toxic takes a dropkick, reboot, and a tiger driver and then Wilson has a move, the turn of kit.
30:56.441 --> 30:57.422
[SPEAKER_02]: Did you manage his to hit?
30:57.702 --> 30:59.123
[SPEAKER_01]: Only gets a two count.
31:00.305 --> 31:05.110
[SPEAKER_01]: What, um, like what does that
31:06.406 --> 31:14.575
[SPEAKER_02]: his career was like bleeding to death and thankfully this gimmick has cut off the excessive blood loss.
31:14.915 --> 31:18.239
[SPEAKER_01]: He needs something that is obviously a bit more on-brand with this current character.
31:18.539 --> 31:25.567
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm sure there is a logical that there's a rationale behind this name because I couldn't put it together.
31:26.088 --> 31:31.654
[SPEAKER_02]: And then Zach hits what is now back to being the rough writer.
31:31.921 --> 31:34.624
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so anymore, at least that was in question.
31:35.024 --> 31:38.007
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Graves says we still call it that.
31:38.628 --> 31:40.470
[SPEAKER_02]: And Cole's like, well, what else will we call it?
31:40.690 --> 31:44.514
[SPEAKER_02]: So Michael Cole clearly, a Triller TV plus subscriber.
31:45.776 --> 31:50.881
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how much he was following this guy's last five years, every weekend, and with the NA, he's been watching.
31:51.241 --> 31:53.644
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, wins this one in four minutes and 18 seconds.
31:55.566 --> 31:56.627
[SPEAKER_02]: I really enjoy Kitt Wilson.
31:56.647 --> 31:57.608
[SPEAKER_02]: That's all I'm going to say.
31:57.723 --> 32:08.396
[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't like, okay, the big news coming out of this, maybe even show is the return of Zach Rider on a full-time basis, but I cut a game out of this dude, like, why aren't you taking my kid?
32:08.416 --> 32:08.857
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's in here.
32:09.177 --> 32:19.950
[SPEAKER_01]: And I can't believe it, because, like, backstage, if, like, we're about to do our best in a warstov, get Wilson is going to certainly be one of those, you know, considerations for worst character of the year.
32:20.371 --> 32:24.456
[SPEAKER_01]: Every interaction he's had, as this toxic biscalinity character has been terrible.
32:24.976 --> 32:28.400
[SPEAKER_01]: But who would have thought a three-hour show is all this guy needed?
32:28.420 --> 32:32.746
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, take him out from behind the curtain, given this amazing Titan-Trona music.
32:33.287 --> 32:37.512
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think catchphrase that is already like connecting with the crowd tonight.
32:38.133 --> 32:44.361
[SPEAKER_01]: You are toxic, is to me already over, at least according to some of the vocal reactions we heard tonight.
32:44.802 --> 32:47.225
[SPEAKER_01]: So I kind of like that a lot.
32:47.245 --> 32:48.547
[SPEAKER_01]: Otherwise the match was very average.
32:48.647 --> 32:54.915
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was exactly what you picture in your head.
32:55.250 --> 33:00.037
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like when they brought back Cardona for the scene at tournament, they did it, where was it?
33:00.278 --> 33:05.306
[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, it was before the Madison Square Garden RAW and they did it like Albany.
33:05.566 --> 33:11.115
[SPEAKER_02]: It was like Albany and it's like here we look at it's like, now we got the rumble coming up, not now.
33:11.155 --> 33:19.688
[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna do it in Buffalo, his surprise on announced a root return, which is like, whatever, I'm not saying Cardona is,
33:19.668 --> 33:22.011
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I, this is a special show.
33:22.191 --> 33:23.974
[SPEAKER_01]: It felt like it felt very much like a season.
33:24.094 --> 33:24.755
[SPEAKER_01]: It was.
33:24.835 --> 33:25.135
[SPEAKER_01]: It was.
33:25.556 --> 33:25.816
[SPEAKER_01]: It was.
33:26.537 --> 33:32.986
[SPEAKER_02]: So Kathy Kelly interviews Damien Priest and he reflects on his six months feuding with Alistair Black.
33:33.306 --> 33:34.188
[SPEAKER_02]: Enough is enough.
33:34.528 --> 33:35.389
[SPEAKER_02]: It ends tonight.
33:35.770 --> 33:36.851
[SPEAKER_02]: You tried to change me.
33:37.112 --> 33:38.133
[SPEAKER_02]: You tried to break me.
33:38.554 --> 33:39.815
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't tell me what to do.
33:40.236 --> 33:41.838
[SPEAKER_02]: You tried to burn my face.
33:42.178 --> 33:48.527
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm going to whip your ass and send you to the ER and you will be the one to fade to black.
33:48.507 --> 33:56.478
[SPEAKER_02]: Not how any human on this planet would ever speak as he is about to go into a fight, but, um, menacing words from a Damian priest.
33:56.779 --> 33:58.842
[SPEAKER_02]: And we get stats himself.
33:59.242 --> 34:04.750
[SPEAKER_02]: Michael Cole, this is the first ambulance match on SmackDown and the seventh in WWE history coming up.
34:07.374 --> 34:07.975
[SPEAKER_02]: I was wondering.
34:08.676 --> 34:08.896
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
34:08.916 --> 34:11.460
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was, I was ranking them in my head.
34:12.453 --> 34:33.111
[SPEAKER_02]: the why it's six video so it is not it is bow Dallas unmasked he is not playing the uncle how he character here but he asks what the meaning of family is any questions he says that's the question that solo has been asking since being exiled from the bloodline you cannot comprehend that
34:33.091 --> 34:37.599
[SPEAKER_02]: the force you are up against and you mock what you can't understand.
34:37.659 --> 34:51.321
[SPEAKER_02]: Our family is filled with millions of fireflies around the world that will always remember and it's time to chop down your family tree at the root and when the dust settles, we will be the ones.
34:53.144 --> 34:57.732
[SPEAKER_02]: Now tell me if I'm going delirious from three hour smack downs already.
34:59.315 --> 35:03.200
[SPEAKER_02]: was this a good Wyatt six promo?
35:03.220 --> 35:05.944
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, why did you think it was good?
35:07.026 --> 35:08.147
[SPEAKER_02]: Why did I think it was good?
35:08.508 --> 35:11.352
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I understood what the message was.
35:11.392 --> 35:16.459
[SPEAKER_02]: That was a big obstacle to every other Wyatt six promo that I had.
35:17.120 --> 35:19.102
[SPEAKER_02]: I guess like I'm I'm having trouble.
35:19.202 --> 35:20.344
[SPEAKER_02]: Care to explain.
35:20.847 --> 35:26.596
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, to me, this was a lot less of first of all, not playing the Uncle Howdy character.
35:26.877 --> 35:29.982
[SPEAKER_02]: I think they'd wonders for this segment, but he was spoke to the same.
35:30.703 --> 35:35.190
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought this was a much more as grounded as this group is going to get here.
35:35.811 --> 35:39.497
[SPEAKER_02]: And I felt this was at least if we're doing this.
35:40.793 --> 35:43.919
[SPEAKER_02]: out of this universe type of characters here.
35:43.959 --> 35:49.390
[SPEAKER_02]: I think the key to it is that you do have some level of groundness to it.
35:49.710 --> 35:52.616
[SPEAKER_02]: And I think they struck like a good balance here.
35:52.636 --> 35:53.959
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but what did he actually say?
35:54.279 --> 35:55.782
[SPEAKER_01]: What is the meaning of family?
35:56.318 --> 36:25.363
[SPEAKER_01]: solo you've been trying to find that answer we click you claim we aren't family but you don't comprehend the forces were up against it's not just made of us it's filled with millions of fireflies around the world that will always remember so he's saying the family isn't just us it's all of us so is that the answer to solo asking what is the meaning of family yes solo doesn't meaning in family it's solo doesn't have fireflies though okay that's not what solo was asking
36:26.288 --> 36:28.031
[SPEAKER_01]: Solo is asking, what the meaning of family is?
36:30.875 --> 36:31.777
[SPEAKER_01]: Good, John, John is...
36:33.800 --> 36:34.521
[SPEAKER_01]: I've got the answer.
36:35.422 --> 36:37.005
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay, what did you just grab?
36:38.788 --> 36:41.392
[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the family, the book.
36:43.395 --> 36:45.939
[SPEAKER_01]: A fast and various book, somebody got you that for Christmas.
36:45.959 --> 36:47.121
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the meaning of family.
36:47.181 --> 36:47.942
[SPEAKER_01]: What is that book?
36:49.323 --> 36:55.592
[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the family, the explosive story behind Fast and Furious, the blockbusters that's super charged the world.
36:55.812 --> 36:56.473
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see the cover.
36:58.536 --> 36:59.377
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that looks awesome.
37:00.399 --> 37:01.300
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
37:01.320 --> 37:02.482
[SPEAKER_02]: I was given it for Christmas.
37:02.882 --> 37:05.446
[SPEAKER_01]: So, that sounds great.
37:05.666 --> 37:06.407
[SPEAKER_01]: So you hated this.
37:06.968 --> 37:08.550
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying like, it's Santa cool.
37:08.691 --> 37:13.057
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I understood the words a little bit more than usual, but did he actually answer the question?
37:13.918 --> 37:17.423
[SPEAKER_01]: And more importantly, like what exactly is,
37:17.555 --> 37:19.978
[SPEAKER_01]: What am I supposed to feel coming out of?
37:19.998 --> 37:29.111
[SPEAKER_02]: Solo has been trying to get into how he's head about the loss of a break.
37:29.191 --> 37:36.481
[SPEAKER_02]: How you don't even have a family anymore and his explanation is that you are the one you are abandoned by your family.
37:36.741 --> 37:37.783
[SPEAKER_02]: I have not been abandoned.
37:38.163 --> 37:42.229
[SPEAKER_02]: We are surrounded by all the people that keep my brothers.
37:42.563 --> 37:44.146
[SPEAKER_02]: memory alive.
37:44.386 --> 37:46.029
[SPEAKER_02]: That's how I took this to be.
37:46.250 --> 37:51.819
[SPEAKER_02]: And I found this came out better than most white six promos that I'm totally checked out of.
37:52.340 --> 37:53.963
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I thought you just explained it very well.
37:54.244 --> 37:55.486
[SPEAKER_02]: So, um, thank you.
37:55.506 --> 37:56.428
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, obviously he didn't.
37:56.568 --> 37:59.453
[SPEAKER_01]: So, um, maybe there's still work to be done.
37:59.713 --> 38:03.340
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe for me, it's just like I've seen this so much.
38:04.221 --> 38:06.225
[SPEAKER_01]: And that I just, um,
38:06.475 --> 38:15.247
[SPEAKER_01]: I, maybe I just automatically, you know, to know this sort of thing, but, okay, sure.
38:15.948 --> 38:28.686
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I know what all of us thought a year ago when this, uh, all began this countdown to, the Y at six and the bloodline, or sorry, the MFTs, four on four in Berlin, Germany.
38:31.332 --> 38:50.725
[SPEAKER_02]: Sammy Zang comes out and he reflects on getting to sit in the crowd for once to watch John Cena's retirement and watching it with his young son and explaining to his son what never seen 17 means to be hard for a child to understand.
38:51.076 --> 38:56.783
[SPEAKER_02]: Sammy was explaining to his son, that's how many times John Cena has won the championship.
38:57.364 --> 39:04.892
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sure the extended version of this was, well, Daddy, that's not the most title reigns anyone has ever had.
39:05.073 --> 39:17.067
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you've got to count all of Ric Flair's various title changes, both overseas and even ones that were recognized in WCW at the time, but I
39:19.308 --> 39:30.525
[SPEAKER_02]: Part of the phrase that this was a legitimate conversation between Father and Son, because Sammy says, my Son then asked me, if John's one of the title 17 times, how many times have you won the title?
39:31.226 --> 39:33.369
[SPEAKER_02]: And I had to tell him zero.
39:34.371 --> 39:40.360
[SPEAKER_02]: And then what could be, what could be the worst follow-up to have him to tell your Son that?
39:40.640 --> 39:43.324
[SPEAKER_02]: Your Son then asking you, why?
39:43.726 --> 39:58.444
[SPEAKER_02]: insane said I didn't have an answer as to why if this was not just this this was way more intriguing to me than the scene of retirement I wanted a camera on this conversation as a extra
39:58.593 --> 39:59.874
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Unreal captured it.
40:00.755 --> 40:06.081
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see if those unreal cameras were playing chess on the night of a scene as a retirement.
40:06.682 --> 40:10.166
[SPEAKER_02]: He said, I've won all these other titles, but why is this one missing?
40:10.646 --> 40:15.592
[SPEAKER_02]: And I got sick myself of talking about winning the title last year.
40:15.752 --> 40:18.114
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not here to talk about being champion anymore.
40:18.395 --> 40:19.736
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here to do it this year.
40:20.077 --> 40:22.339
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm coming for that belt.
40:22.319 --> 40:44.597
[SPEAKER_02]: and then he is interrupted by trick Williams who comes out and got gets a hell of a reaction from this crowd in Buffalo there all chanting whoop that trick um this guy came out looking like a superstar and then cut a hell of a promo he said that he is what happens when you get Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson and Michael Jackson at the same in the same place at the same time.
40:46.349 --> 40:48.674
[SPEAKER_02]: I said Jordan Jackson that'd be quite the roundtable.
40:49.676 --> 40:50.779
[SPEAKER_02]: He is told.
40:50.819 --> 40:54.086
[SPEAKER_02]: He said that Smackdown needs trick Williams.
40:54.166 --> 40:57.694
[SPEAKER_02]: They need someone who looks like a champion and that's why I'm here.
40:58.315 --> 41:01.021
[SPEAKER_02]: And said, I am not like you, Sammy.
41:01.041 --> 41:04.729
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not someone who can almost get the job done.
41:04.709 --> 41:07.953
[SPEAKER_02]: and Zane explains your right, but you have never been humbled.
41:08.353 --> 41:17.584
[SPEAKER_02]: And you're not the first guy to just show up and thinking that you have the look and that you have all the tools, you are going to be taught what it is to be humbled.
41:17.904 --> 41:22.089
[SPEAKER_02]: And I've got to say, I thought trick was just outstanding here in this segment.
41:22.269 --> 41:29.738
[SPEAKER_02]: He is part of SmackDown and Sami Zane is adding his name as well, going for Cody's championship at some point.
41:29.718 --> 41:31.580
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought trick said it amazing.
41:31.620 --> 41:47.733
[SPEAKER_01]: He looked amazing, you know, and if you're going to point to the effectiveness of the PC as a developmental system, I think trick is really a perfect example of somebody who just Well has like Certainly gained a character gained a lot of confidence gained a lot of ability.
41:47.753 --> 41:59.623
[SPEAKER_01]: You can argue gained a lot of inner ability in that time since we first started watching him and you cannot certainly also say he's gained a lot of value just from maybe the buzz surrounding him and his name
41:59.603 --> 42:11.384
[SPEAKER_01]: Even for people who may have never seen, you know, a second of an exceed before, like by the moment he enters the arena here in a main roster called proper, he's already seen as a star, he's already seen as a big deal.
42:11.524 --> 42:17.815
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I also found this introduction incredibly interesting, because
42:17.795 --> 42:38.183
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the contrast is certainly there, you know, if the idea was to showcase how charismatic and spectacular trick is, the job was certainly accomplished by positioning him right opposite a guy who couldn't look more normal and look more average, even by Sammy Zane standards, like this guy was able to dress down for this rule.
42:38.163 --> 43:02.665
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like he's he not exactly like I address like this basically like every every day So I found that it's contrast and critically interesting and it kind of highlights how planes and Sami Zain is But and I'm stumped as the weather or not like that was like by design as an as a positive or negative thing because to some it's bad Okay, you want your stars to look like a trick Williams as he said in his promo, but then to others.
43:03.226 --> 43:05.588
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean Zain is a way more relatable
43:05.568 --> 43:11.160
[SPEAKER_01]: and therefore easy to tear for like person, then somebody like a trick of William.
43:11.401 --> 43:19.258
[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess my question is like, was this segment designed to actually give Sammy a push coming off of this interaction?
43:19.639 --> 43:21.703
[SPEAKER_01]: Or is he just here to make trick look good?
43:22.122 --> 43:26.709
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that Sammy is getting poised for something.
43:27.089 --> 43:34.801
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's remember that I hadn't even put this together in my head is that Saturday night's main event is in Montreal.
43:35.322 --> 43:38.226
[SPEAKER_02]: And the next weekend, rumble's in Saudi Arabia.
43:38.587 --> 43:49.262
[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you were gonna do something with Sammy, like you have backed it back weekends that you would think are like you would want Sammy in some pretty significant roles for those shows.
43:49.463 --> 43:50.965
[SPEAKER_02]: And I do wonder if,
43:51.518 --> 43:59.389
[SPEAKER_02]: Like Randy to me should be a more long term thing could say maybe something more short term given the locations of where they're going to be.
43:59.809 --> 44:00.610
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great point.
44:00.630 --> 44:03.955
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, and that show is in one, two, three weeks.
44:04.375 --> 44:05.898
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're like, we're coming up.
44:06.418 --> 44:09.082
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I could see some big segment for Montreal.
44:09.142 --> 44:13.628
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I wouldn't, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up
44:13.608 --> 44:24.086
[SPEAKER_02]: in a big match at in Saudi Arabia beyond if he's just going to be another guy in the rumble would he be better served like going for a title in Saudi Arabia for instance.
44:24.106 --> 44:26.289
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, when you say big match, yeah, that would have to be it, right?
44:26.650 --> 44:28.233
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, me versus Cody for the championship.
44:28.513 --> 44:31.498
[SPEAKER_01]: And you would rather do that in Saudi than you would in Montreal.
44:33.098 --> 44:36.247
[SPEAKER_02]: I just think Saudi, like you want Cody on the Saudi Arabia show, right?
44:36.267 --> 44:41.481
[SPEAKER_02]: Like you can still do something with Sami on Saturday Night's main event, but that should be like your go home segments.
44:41.702 --> 44:44.931
[SPEAKER_01]: So why wouldn't you put Cody on the Saturday Night's main event?
44:45.451 --> 45:13.382
[SPEAKER_02]: but given the timing one show I just don't see them building up two matches like like that back the back weekends and I think we've kind of seen what Saturday night's main event like I do think there's a bit of a ceiling of like the level of match you're going to see headlining one of those shows yeah barring some major retirement so then okay so if Sammy let's you know play this out like if he's being positioned for championship
45:13.362 --> 45:16.908
[SPEAKER_01]: So what exactly is trick-roll in all of this?
45:17.208 --> 45:22.717
[SPEAKER_01]: Are they going to actually have a match or was it just a little segment to preview trick Williams?
45:23.098 --> 45:29.548
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would certainly not want to be beating trick Williams right out of the gate for that very reason.
45:29.928 --> 45:40.365
[SPEAKER_02]: Again, like I would want Sammy strong for for those shows at the end of the month and I'm sure they are thinking that too.
45:40.345 --> 45:43.368
[SPEAKER_02]: but yeah, obviously this is something you're teasing towards.
45:43.428 --> 45:49.835
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you could do a match between them and not necessarily do a finish, but like you don't have all the time in the world.
45:49.875 --> 45:51.576
[SPEAKER_02]: Like these details are coming up really quick.
45:51.756 --> 46:05.290
[SPEAKER_02]: So like I would think by by this time next week, we should have at least like we should at least have stuff set up for Saturday nights and main event, if not, starting to build up the rumble.
46:06.080 --> 46:15.575
[SPEAKER_02]: Carmelo Hayes meets with Ilya Draganov backstage, doesn't believe it was their last time together and asks him if he's going to continue the open challenge, just sort of been hilarious of Carmelo said, no, that's crazy.
46:16.457 --> 46:20.944
[SPEAKER_02]: But no, he will keep the open challenge going and says that one day, we will run it back.
46:21.124 --> 46:26.012
[SPEAKER_02]: So Ilya is off to figure out his three-hour, um,
46:25.992 --> 46:27.114
[SPEAKER_02]: version of himself.
46:27.835 --> 46:31.440
[SPEAKER_02]: He's then walks into Mizz and says, you know, it wouldn't have been possible without you.
46:32.060 --> 46:37.288
[SPEAKER_02]: And the Mizz thinks he's being sincere, but says, no, ever since you left me alone, I've been better than ever.
46:37.628 --> 46:39.751
[SPEAKER_02]: So again, the punching bag of SmackDown.
46:41.193 --> 46:44.618
[SPEAKER_02]: Like this guy's just going to have like a mental breakdown at a certain point on SmackDown.
46:44.658 --> 46:46.180
[SPEAKER_02]: He's just going to go after everybody.
46:48.063 --> 46:50.907
[SPEAKER_02]: And what's going to be like a contract killer.
46:51.167 --> 46:53.350
[SPEAKER_02]: He's
46:55.203 --> 47:11.912
[SPEAKER_02]: talking smack me's talking smack me's yeah all this is hanging out with Ray Phoenix would love to hear this conversation and trick comes in Phoenix says the new guys have a lot to learn and uh guess what Nick all this is getting ahead of himself he's booking this match for next week you know these three hours smack downs
47:12.027 --> 47:15.612
[SPEAKER_02]: all this has to do a bit more work now a week out so we we're going to get this next week.
47:15.632 --> 47:22.541
[SPEAKER_02]: What what an introductory match for trick Williams Ray Phoenix certainly in Germany will be interesting.
47:22.841 --> 47:26.606
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah and I don't I don't really expect the best for Ray Phoenix unfortunately.
47:27.147 --> 47:33.835
[SPEAKER_02]: Well Nick did suggest for Ray that he could have the best year of his career in 2022.
47:33.896 --> 47:37.360
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see if that could solve to a big start next week.
47:37.913 --> 47:43.240
[SPEAKER_02]: So Carmelo Hayes, Johnny Gargano, for the US title, they got a lot of time here, nearly 17 minutes.
47:43.661 --> 47:45.263
[SPEAKER_02]: Two commercial breaks in all of this.
47:46.224 --> 47:54.315
[SPEAKER_02]: Hayes just did a bunch of various springboard-based offense here, hit a swinging neckbreaker counter in mid-air.
47:54.836 --> 47:56.558
[SPEAKER_02]: And then he takes a lawn dart.
47:56.618 --> 47:58.161
[SPEAKER_02]: He's sent into the middle turn buckle.
47:58.321 --> 47:59.803
[SPEAKER_02]: They both go down from close lines.
48:00.123 --> 48:02.807
[SPEAKER_02]: Then Hayes delivers a counter into a cutter.
48:03.428 --> 48:05.811
[SPEAKER_02]: And Gargano tries for one final beat,
48:05.791 --> 48:25.823
[SPEAKER_02]: but gets his next snap and then a flying DDT onto the edge of the apron, Candace distracts the referee and Hayes gets knocked off balance on the turnbuckle, allowing our Gano to hit the air raid crash, Hayes kicks out, and then after multiple counters, it is Hayes executing the first 48 followed by nothing but net for the win in 16 minutes and 46 seconds.
48:26.203 --> 48:30.330
[SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, Tumoso Champa just, no, nowhere to be seen.
48:31.627 --> 48:32.909
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, not this week at least.
48:33.249 --> 48:33.690
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you know.
48:33.850 --> 48:34.491
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
48:34.511 --> 48:41.179
[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, you know, as a U.S. title match, these are always expected to be at least the best bell to bell match on the show.
48:41.239 --> 48:43.302
[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel like these do clear that bar pretty well.
48:43.702 --> 48:51.953
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, over the past year, I think they've really successfully redefined this secondary championship as essentially the workers championship, the TV championship.
48:52.173 --> 49:00.604
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think there's a high level of expectation for anybody who's chosen to like take take this role.
49:00.584 --> 49:05.089
[SPEAKER_01]: Haze is certainly one of those guys that I have no doubt can live up to it, and this was a great for example.
49:05.490 --> 49:22.070
[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously it's a great highlight for the support and cast as well in guys like Johnny Gragano or I'm sure like they'll make the rounds again with like Axiom and then Fraser and this title should be like a video game where you win the title and you have to go through like level one is Johnny Gargano.
49:22.090 --> 49:24.533
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah then you move to Nathan Fraser.
49:24.513 --> 49:43.669
[SPEAKER_02]: then you move to like axiom mortal combat you just like start from the bottom of the tier you go through the exact same until you get to like the final boss which is not doing johnson but in this world tomatanga apparently he's the really the shanksung of uh oh yeah didn't didn't he just pass away
49:43.649 --> 49:46.194
[SPEAKER_02]: Shane, the actor who played the actor.
49:46.214 --> 49:47.577
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, not the not the character.
49:47.757 --> 49:48.499
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
49:48.519 --> 49:49.300
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
49:49.320 --> 49:56.815
[SPEAKER_02]: Tamatong is watching all this backstage and trying to remember what it was like to have singles matches and in walk, Shinsuke Nakamura
49:58.162 --> 50:01.867
[SPEAKER_02]: So, Shinsuke speaks to him in Japanese.
50:02.327 --> 50:03.669
[SPEAKER_02]: We have no idea what they're saying.
50:04.029 --> 50:06.893
[SPEAKER_02]: Unless I'll Grande Americana can speak Japanese.
50:07.133 --> 50:08.235
[SPEAKER_02]: We're not going to get this translated.
50:08.735 --> 50:16.245
[SPEAKER_02]: And then Solo shows up and asks Toma, if everything is OK, and Tamah says, yes, that was an old chapter.
50:17.847 --> 50:24.996
[SPEAKER_02]: And Solo's like, OK, for on for next week, we're going to Germany and then Tomah looks down the hallway.
50:25.499 --> 50:28.627
[SPEAKER_02]: at Nakamura, walking off into the sunset.
50:30.091 --> 50:34.943
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'm wondering if he still has his old New Japan world subscription for the weekend.
50:38.552 --> 50:40.617
[SPEAKER_02]: Like living, what a weird return here.
50:41.700 --> 50:42.883
[SPEAKER_02]: What for who?
50:43.522 --> 50:45.587
[SPEAKER_02]: Does this count as a return for Nakamura?
50:45.667 --> 50:47.211
[SPEAKER_02]: I just feel like he was gone.
50:47.251 --> 50:50.018
[SPEAKER_02]: He made his return and then he was gone for like a couple of weeks.
50:50.058 --> 50:52.164
[SPEAKER_02]: And now he's back again in a totally different role here.
50:52.625 --> 50:53.948
[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's been back.
50:53.968 --> 50:55.672
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think I think this was just here.
50:55.773 --> 50:57.677
[SPEAKER_02]: He was just in town just checking out the sabers.
50:58.920 --> 50:59.482
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
50:59.502 --> 51:00.805
[SPEAKER_02]: I guess so.
51:00.785 --> 51:07.752
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so we get an extra hour and it's like all these people just you just dust them off to come out Got to go to work this week.
51:07.772 --> 51:29.172
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think they're finally doing something interesting with Tom on beyond Like you know just standing in the background or like doing the hi-in and laugh They're giving him an identifiable character trick and that speaks Japanese we believe he's been in Japan for so long He now speaks very full in Japanese so it's something you know they're making use of their history in your Japan You either in WWE
51:29.152 --> 51:48.105
[SPEAKER_02]: You either have history with somebody from Ring of Honor or New Japan progress like that's it not just New Japan Japan Okay, could you imagine like Paul Levak booking like 1984 and 1985 WF and it's like oh, man They had a history in Portland together Imagine Vince producing this segment
51:48.085 --> 51:54.453
[SPEAKER_01]: But it is one of the identifiable things about Tementanga that I would suggest most WWE fans know.
51:54.473 --> 51:56.055
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he was in Japan.
51:56.376 --> 52:00.902
[SPEAKER_02]: I love that's pretty much the extent of these, like at least the Tementanga character.
52:00.922 --> 52:03.465
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like his defining trait he used to be in New Japan.
52:03.525 --> 52:06.529
[SPEAKER_02]: Because we pretty much giving you nothing else to work with in this last year.
52:06.850 --> 52:07.390
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, nothing.
52:07.671 --> 52:08.392
[SPEAKER_01]: He was in Japan.
52:08.612 --> 52:11.436
[SPEAKER_01]: Really, like all the MFEs have except for Solo.
52:11.696 --> 52:12.117
[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
52:12.137 --> 52:13.799
[SPEAKER_01]: But okay.
52:13.819 --> 52:14.520
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
52:14.540 --> 52:15.301
[SPEAKER_02]: J.C. Matteo.
52:15.721 --> 52:17.063
[SPEAKER_02]: Non Olympian.
52:17.043 --> 52:17.926
[SPEAKER_02]: rookie wrestler.
52:18.989 --> 52:21.255
[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe one day he'll come out as graphics will just change.
52:21.275 --> 52:22.017
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, wait a minute.
52:22.639 --> 52:23.862
[SPEAKER_01]: That's our JC Mateo.
52:24.003 --> 52:29.719
[SPEAKER_01]: They'll have ruined the JC Mateo named so much that Jeff Cobb will feel like a good alternative.
52:30.408 --> 52:38.162
[SPEAKER_02]: Alistair Black gave us his speaking of tongues, this victory is spiritual, nothing will change.
52:38.563 --> 52:42.931
[SPEAKER_02]: The only thing to change is you, which by definition would mean something is changing.
52:43.432 --> 52:51.387
[SPEAKER_02]: Priest will never be the same after tonight, and he will place the final nail in the coffin of his delusions.
52:52.497 --> 52:52.757
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
52:53.018 --> 52:58.645
[SPEAKER_01]: So basically, he's kind of the same promo as always, which is him saying wins and losses don't matter.
52:58.906 --> 53:04.433
[SPEAKER_01]: Whether or not I win or lose this match that is about the main event, the show, you guys don't, it doesn't really matter.
53:05.174 --> 53:09.520
[SPEAKER_01]: All that matters is you find your aggressive side and I'll have change you.
53:09.560 --> 53:13.305
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, no shit if somebody's going to wrestle a match, of course they're going to be a bit more aggressive.
53:14.807 --> 53:18.492
[SPEAKER_01]: But coming off of this program, I mean, spoiler alert, black lost.
53:19.033 --> 53:20.415
[SPEAKER_01]: He's still going to claim victory.
53:20.515 --> 53:22.217
[SPEAKER_01]: He's he's doing the carrying
53:24.053 --> 53:26.257
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because he changed him.
53:26.437 --> 53:29.301
[SPEAKER_02]: So moral victories exist now for Alistair Black.
53:30.223 --> 53:38.596
[SPEAKER_02]: Kathy Kelly, interviews Jade Cargill, and so we didn't get the match with Mechan, and instead of coming up with some story, they're just going with exactly what happened.
53:38.616 --> 53:44.526
[SPEAKER_02]: They had a match at a house show and Mechan heard her shoulder, and they asked Jade, was it intentional?
53:45.755 --> 54:04.625
[SPEAKER_02]: Now again, within the body of like this is a world where these matches are in somehow like they are real matches like what would a non intentional injury be like okay well listen you can have a like a match in MMA where somebody has like a horrible injury.
54:05.867 --> 54:12.758
[SPEAKER_01]: But like you did you might not necessarily have intended on them having the horrible injury you just wanted to win.
54:12.778 --> 54:13.399
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
54:14.206 --> 54:24.084
[SPEAKER_02]: But if I like, if I power bomb do, okay, and I gave you a stinger, yeah, it's like, was it intentional, it's like, yes, did I want you to break your neck?
54:24.345 --> 54:32.299
[SPEAKER_02]: No, but I was absolutely trying to harm you in such a way that your body would be lifeless for the count of three.
54:33.460 --> 54:35.964
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that would only be temporary, right?
54:36.084 --> 54:37.005
[SPEAKER_01]: Only for the count of three.
54:37.025 --> 54:39.750
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want you to suffer repercussions beyond that.
54:39.770 --> 54:41.592
[SPEAKER_01]: Unless I was really trying.
54:42.173 --> 54:44.737
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so we got, we got, you know, Luthas here.
54:45.398 --> 54:47.401
[SPEAKER_02]: And so she takes credit for it.
54:47.441 --> 54:49.524
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's now referring to the other women as pigeons.
54:50.266 --> 54:53.190
[SPEAKER_02]: And Jordan Grace walks in, want to get a good look at all of her options.
54:53.230 --> 54:56.515
[SPEAKER_02]: And Jane, Jade Warren's her, this is my show, and I'm that bitch.
54:58.098 --> 54:59.861
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
54:59.881 --> 55:10.677
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this seems to like pretty well signal that grace is going to be here, at least to me, although Jade did the same thing like for pretty much everybody on the show.
55:11.378 --> 55:14.864
[SPEAKER_02]: It would seem like just based on the call-ups.
55:15.124 --> 55:17.408
[SPEAKER_02]: It would seem like Javan is going to raw.
55:17.568 --> 55:18.930
[SPEAKER_02]: We know trick is on SmackDown.
55:18.990 --> 55:21.574
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm still, I'm still
55:21.908 --> 55:29.740
[SPEAKER_01]: Curious about, like, Soul Ruka, um, I thought we'd get an XDD to actually, but you're right, like, yeah, probably on the radar too.
55:30.341 --> 55:30.742
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
55:30.762 --> 55:38.053
[SPEAKER_01]: But, um, I think this was a good look at a potential matchup that you be seeing, like, pretty much right away here between Jordan Grayson, Jade Cargo.
55:39.716 --> 55:39.816
[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
55:39.796 --> 55:41.318
[SPEAKER_02]: Cody meets with Sami Zayn.
55:41.459 --> 55:42.680
[SPEAKER_02]: He says I heard what you said out there.
55:43.141 --> 55:44.563
[SPEAKER_02]: Looks like everyone's being honest tonight.
55:45.224 --> 55:47.768
[SPEAKER_02]: Zayn respects Cody, but you have to understand where I'm coming from.
55:48.569 --> 55:50.653
[SPEAKER_02]: My kids ask him a questions, Cody.
55:51.354 --> 55:54.479
[SPEAKER_02]: And all this again comes in, and Cody still asks, have you seen Drew?
55:54.499 --> 55:55.761
[SPEAKER_02]: No, we haven't seen Drew.
55:56.101 --> 55:58.024
[SPEAKER_02]: Cody's like, well, I'm going out there for the segment.
55:58.730 --> 56:02.734
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, okay, sounds like a very, uh, half-hazardly producer.
56:03.775 --> 56:06.258
[SPEAKER_02]: Obafemi video errors, and then Cody comes out.
56:06.558 --> 56:12.184
[SPEAKER_02]: He explains what separates me from the rest is my mentality when approaching anyone in the ring.
56:12.865 --> 56:15.588
[SPEAKER_02]: People see me with the belt and then the envy comes out.
56:15.668 --> 56:19.552
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what drew Reeks of envy, and I can't wait for this fight.
56:20.113 --> 56:23.016
[SPEAKER_02]: And he mentions the importance of this arena.
56:22.996 --> 56:34.362
[SPEAKER_02]: how we had the only good match on a battleground show that was absolutely atrocious where the road's family took on the shield some 13 years ago.
56:35.865 --> 56:39.233
[SPEAKER_02]: He says my superpower is I play dumb.
56:40.850 --> 56:43.775
[SPEAKER_02]: in a real sentence that was said on WWE programming.
56:44.436 --> 56:53.391
[SPEAKER_02]: The unreal cameras think they're capturing everything, but while they're playing, they're playing checkers and they're not playing jazz.
56:54.513 --> 56:54.833
[SPEAKER_02]: What?
56:54.853 --> 56:56.176
[SPEAKER_02]: What in God's name?
56:56.436 --> 57:01.204
[SPEAKER_02]: This was Primo Cody AEW Verbiage.
57:01.184 --> 57:05.970
[SPEAKER_01]: This is not a great promo from Cody and I didn't know I didn't think so either walking in circles.
57:06.030 --> 57:07.451
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm sure it made sense to him.
57:07.612 --> 57:08.993
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe basically what's he saying?
57:09.113 --> 57:10.755
[SPEAKER_02]: I worked the unreal cameras.
57:10.955 --> 57:21.908
[SPEAKER_02]: So don't take anything I say on that show as any kind or I'm just I'm fully shit which granted any single every one of these performers are playing roles on these shows.
57:22.089 --> 57:26.494
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a side issue here, but this was just so weird.
57:26.574 --> 57:31.039
[SPEAKER_02]: And then he said there's one word I
57:31.019 --> 57:31.980
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what the fuck?
57:32.261 --> 57:39.792
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I didn't think this was, again, a very strong or even like, palatable, you know, Cody Roots promo.
57:39.812 --> 57:43.558
[SPEAKER_02]: This was like, wink, wink, listen to how inside I'm gonna get type of Cody.
57:43.578 --> 57:47.804
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was the worst version of Cody, especially in AW because he had no guardrails.
57:48.004 --> 57:50.307
[SPEAKER_01]: You did a great job explaining the, what is it?
57:50.328 --> 57:51.309
[SPEAKER_01]: Bow Dallas promo here.
57:51.349 --> 57:52.330
[SPEAKER_01]: Can you explain this one to me?
57:52.711 --> 57:53.893
[SPEAKER_01]: How does one attain the title?
57:54.654 --> 58:00.823
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not my heart, it's my mentality when approaching anybody in a WWE ring.
58:00.803 --> 58:04.587
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I want them to see me seeing them.
58:05.367 --> 58:06.008
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that what he said?
58:07.450 --> 58:09.411
[SPEAKER_02]: I want them to see me seeing them.
58:09.712 --> 58:09.932
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
58:10.613 --> 58:13.355
[SPEAKER_02]: I took it like talks about I'm working all of you Fox.
58:13.535 --> 58:13.856
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
58:14.076 --> 58:21.043
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm playing at a higher level than all of you and I'm giving away my whole thesis here.
58:21.383 --> 58:28.330
[SPEAKER_01]: So he saw he was what somehow like he he he he's a step ahead of Drew and he saw he sees
58:29.069 --> 58:30.572
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know what this was.
58:30.692 --> 58:31.333
[SPEAKER_02]: This was not good.
58:33.437 --> 58:37.204
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, anyway, I'm very excited for the match after Cody's words here.
58:38.045 --> 58:39.848
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, absolutely.
58:39.868 --> 58:47.783
[SPEAKER_02]: Drew's on screen calls Cody so predictable and Vanilla has he chooses the stipulations for three stages of hell.
58:48.023 --> 58:51.870
[SPEAKER_02]: Number one, the the most hilarious.
58:53.217 --> 58:54.459
[SPEAKER_02]: the straight wrestling match.
58:55.882 --> 58:56.904
[SPEAKER_02]: It's our first stage of hell.
58:57.626 --> 58:59.269
[SPEAKER_02]: Number two, a false count anywhere match.
58:59.690 --> 59:06.163
[SPEAKER_02]: And if we make it a steel cage match next week, what are the odds they make it to the cage next week?
59:06.447 --> 59:08.109
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I think terrible.
59:08.129 --> 59:10.091
[SPEAKER_02]: I think this will end with the false kind of anywhere.
59:10.191 --> 59:10.612
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be great.
59:11.393 --> 59:12.894
[SPEAKER_02]: He said I broken you mentally.
59:12.934 --> 59:16.158
[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm going to break you physically and I'm going to put you to the test now.
59:16.538 --> 59:19.582
[SPEAKER_02]: And he says how I was he's outside of Cody's bus.
59:20.362 --> 59:22.385
[SPEAKER_02]: And I took something very important to you.
59:22.485 --> 59:25.068
[SPEAKER_02]: And I thought he was going to pull out a bottle of a Wheatley vodka.
59:25.248 --> 59:29.332
[SPEAKER_02]: But no, he's got a photo of Cody with his father.
59:29.793 --> 59:35.239
[SPEAKER_02]: Now this photo, I'm sure it has some sentimental value to it.
59:35.928 --> 59:41.163
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a photo that, like, was clearly taken backstage, just with a black backdrop.
59:41.725 --> 59:44.453
[SPEAKER_02]: I would imagine that WWE has
59:44.669 --> 59:46.632
[SPEAKER_02]: I can fucking Google image search it right now.
59:46.692 --> 59:48.375
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure it's right there, okay?
59:48.655 --> 59:52.822
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think this frame was handed down by Dusty from his ancestors.
59:52.902 --> 59:56.868
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that had any sentimental value to it, but this photo means a lot.
59:57.269 --> 01:00:00.614
[SPEAKER_01]: So, no, no, no, just don't, let's stop here.
01:00:00.774 --> 01:00:05.401
[SPEAKER_01]: Like if they were going to come up with, you know, what is essentially like this storyline's bracelet?
01:00:05.922 --> 01:00:12.853
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's a CM Punk, you know, AJ, whatever, with dog-zame, RIP bracelet.
01:00:12.833 --> 01:00:18.002
[SPEAKER_01]: They could have caught with a way better artifact than, like, whatever this is, you know.
01:00:18.803 --> 01:00:20.866
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just completely kills the immersion.
01:00:21.167 --> 01:00:23.892
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, at least use maybe a personal photograph, perhaps?
01:00:24.292 --> 01:00:24.553
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
01:00:24.953 --> 01:00:25.174
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
01:00:25.554 --> 01:00:31.905
[SPEAKER_01]: Rather than just, like, something clearly from www.com archives that, um, it's like a stock photo that they could take.
01:00:31.885 --> 01:00:33.487
[SPEAKER_01]: printed out like this afternoon.
01:00:33.567 --> 01:00:41.077
[SPEAKER_01]: There's like no real significant attachment that would tell me that Cody would be willing to like kill this guy over.
01:00:42.579 --> 01:00:51.892
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought you were just going to torch me for trying to make this seem not important because I just like did not say it's like this to me was not a tug at your heartstrings.
01:00:51.992 --> 01:00:55.817
[SPEAKER_01]: They could just use AI to maybe make something look a bit older for him.
01:00:55.797 --> 01:01:05.874
[SPEAKER_02]: Like dude they could have had literally like these letters like they could have letters that supposedly dusty at hand it down to Cody and was like Something sentimental.
01:01:05.894 --> 01:01:08.137
[SPEAKER_02]: We don't even need to see the letters like that to me.
01:01:08.157 --> 01:01:08.799
[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, okay.
01:01:08.939 --> 01:01:11.683
[SPEAKER_02]: That's irreplaceable This is very replaceable.
01:01:12.064 --> 01:01:14.548
[SPEAKER_02]: It was probably created this afternoon
01:01:15.018 --> 01:01:26.580
[SPEAKER_02]: Very possible can you imagine a picture with your like this is just such a like there's no backdrop here Like this is just such a looks like Cody's like a you know, he's a grip on like the production team
01:01:27.083 --> 01:01:38.857
[SPEAKER_02]: What would be a better photo, like if he was backstage at a WCW event, you know, like Cody added one of his wrestling meets and he's got a dusty with him and he's uh, holding the championship with his father.
01:01:38.997 --> 01:01:42.381
[SPEAKER_02]: They probably wrote the storyline this afternoon, so maybe they didn't have time to.
01:01:42.561 --> 01:01:48.588
[SPEAKER_02]: There's no sentimentality from waiting and I he says that I'm sure Dusty is looking at you ashamed.
01:01:48.868 --> 01:01:53.614
[SPEAKER_02]: He smashes the photo and what do you do if a photo smashes?
01:01:53.594 --> 01:01:57.819
[SPEAKER_02]: you sprint to the back and he runs and like what was it going to do?
01:01:59.862 --> 01:02:00.843
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he's just angry.
01:02:01.123 --> 01:02:03.406
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what that's what that's what's going on.
01:02:03.846 --> 01:02:04.768
[SPEAKER_02]: The glass is shattered.
01:02:04.788 --> 01:02:06.209
[SPEAKER_02]: The photo is fine by the way.
01:02:07.070 --> 01:02:07.791
[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't about it.
01:02:07.811 --> 01:02:11.296
[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't about to be like this frame has been shattered.
01:02:11.716 --> 01:02:21.508
[SPEAKER_02]: So he races to the back, but the black scorpion has disappeared and security explains he's not here.
01:02:22.501 --> 01:02:51.597
[SPEAKER_02]: that he is what removed from the broken hold the teleported basically other like I mean either in storyline that was some sort of pre tape obviously had to have been a pre tape yeah then he just like boom like appeared in the ring again like i'm gonna ask you like within the body of this show like what did he do did he give sort of production a tape to play yes
01:02:52.066 --> 01:02:55.892
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I think that is an added power that he's developed.
01:02:56.132 --> 01:02:59.998
[SPEAKER_02]: So Cody's all the way in the back now and then he's got, he's literally got a turn around.
01:03:00.018 --> 01:03:05.085
[SPEAKER_02]: He's got to do a 180 and run all the way back and security still catches them again.
01:03:05.486 --> 01:03:17.443
[SPEAKER_02]: So Drew lights the photo on fire and for any of these angles, you just, you need that line from one of the announcers just to really drive it home and Corey Graves had us covered.
01:03:18.465 --> 01:03:20.588
[SPEAKER_02]: This is too far.
01:03:21.226 --> 01:03:23.131
[SPEAKER_02]: This is too far.
01:03:23.211 --> 01:03:26.961
[SPEAKER_02]: We've literally, we saw a man's face lit on fire a few weeks ago.
01:03:27.061 --> 01:03:29.507
[SPEAKER_02]: We have seen, we saw it on this show.
01:03:30.129 --> 01:03:32.054
[SPEAKER_02]: We've seen Cody bludgeon to death.
01:03:32.475 --> 01:03:35.082
[SPEAKER_02]: We have seen rock threatened his mother.
01:03:35.783 --> 01:03:37.969
[SPEAKER_02]: This was child's play here.
01:03:39.215 --> 01:03:47.314
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, obviously they're trying to recapture the magic of the sea and punk bracelet story in some form.
01:03:47.795 --> 01:03:54.490
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they needed a better thing rather than just this like a very...
01:03:54.470 --> 01:04:18.520
[SPEAKER_01]: replaceable photo and that might have helped a bit but I'll say all in all like I do continue to ask who else is asking these sort of questions beyond like maybe like spotcasters like I or like the nerdy is of the nerds you know is this a question that are are we thinking too much about this John the where are we thinking at all that should be the question
01:04:18.736 --> 01:04:29.811
[SPEAKER_01]: Well for for for for for most audiences is this storyline land where you more interested in this match after this The answer to me is actually yes, despite maybe my my nitpicks here because I think the performances were strong.
01:04:29.851 --> 01:04:33.717
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought Cody Or a very replaceable photo.
01:04:33.817 --> 01:04:46.735
[SPEAKER_01]: He was taking this incredibly seriously, and I thought he sold it really well I like the idea of just like you know taking somebody something from somebody important something important from somebody and and destroying it Like that adds something to me
01:04:46.715 --> 01:04:47.697
[SPEAKER_01]: Could it have been better?
01:04:47.817 --> 01:04:50.322
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes absolutely could have been.
01:04:50.342 --> 01:04:56.214
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I hope this ends with like a maybe Drew takes another selfie with Cody next week.
01:04:56.294 --> 01:04:57.997
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that'll tie all of this together.
01:04:58.979 --> 01:05:00.482
[SPEAKER_01]: Robin Donald has a great suggestion here.
01:05:00.642 --> 01:05:02.626
[SPEAKER_01]: It should have been Dusty's watch.
01:05:03.207 --> 01:05:06.073
[SPEAKER_01]: The watch that Triple H Nikon gave the Cody before Mania.
01:05:06.458 --> 01:05:16.806
[SPEAKER_02]: Wasn't that the watch that seen a attack them with last year for the return was that ever confirmed that that was the watch I mean it was a watch what what other watch could have been.
01:05:17.478 --> 01:05:20.622
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah much like the photo watches replaceable.
01:05:20.682 --> 01:05:23.686
[SPEAKER_02]: So he maybe got a fixed last year after the he'll turn.
01:05:24.908 --> 01:05:30.155
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but if Drew destroyed it, I smashed into pieces.
01:05:30.415 --> 01:05:34.321
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that would have certainly been they should they need to get more mileage out of that goddamn watch.
01:05:35.242 --> 01:05:37.425
[SPEAKER_02]: Chelsea Green and Julia for the US title.
01:05:38.026 --> 01:05:40.369
[SPEAKER_02]: Green was more over than Julia here.
01:05:40.389 --> 01:05:45.696
[SPEAKER_02]: This is totally impossible to
01:05:45.676 --> 01:05:55.053
[SPEAKER_02]: Kelsey was, we have two heels, but a likable one in Chelsea Green, and Corey explained we're close to Canada, therefore she's over.
01:05:55.654 --> 01:05:57.758
[SPEAKER_02]: And so Julia just murders her.
01:05:57.999 --> 01:06:00.263
[SPEAKER_02]: Curbs, stomps her, is destroying her.
01:06:00.363 --> 01:06:01.966
[SPEAKER_02]: Finally, Kelsey tries for an unpretty her.
01:06:02.246 --> 01:06:06.975
[SPEAKER_02]: It stopped, and she hits the radio silence, which Corey notes, we saw that earlier.
01:06:06.955 --> 01:06:18.538
[SPEAKER_02]: But Kiana distracts the referee, elbow yanks her off, and then after a double underhook off the top by Julia, she hits a northern lights bomb and just like that pins Chelsea in seven minutes and 35 seconds.
01:06:18.799 --> 01:06:23.428
[SPEAKER_02]: So we pretty much just hit the rewind button and we went back three months.
01:06:23.813 --> 01:06:24.816
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
01:06:24.836 --> 01:06:30.852
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the end result of this really has me questioning why the title changed at all.
01:06:31.615 --> 01:06:39.797
[SPEAKER_01]: Other than I guess like maybe the simple explanation that they wanted to displace, we needed the chase for Julia to reach this mountain top tonight.
01:06:39.777 --> 01:06:58.393
[SPEAKER_01]: They also wanted to complete the sort of North American gimmick thing with Ethan Page on an XT and they, you know, between the Triple H championships in North, his North American championship, and I guess the US championship, like could that have been the only reason why we had this, like several, what, like one month, a total ring for Chelsea Green here.
01:06:58.373 --> 01:07:03.321
[SPEAKER_01]: it would be very odd that they would borrow a championship, essentially, from a main roster, so just to support that.
01:07:03.421 --> 01:07:06.266
[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't, I don't think Chelsea gained anything from it.
01:07:06.606 --> 01:07:10.994
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, certainly, Julia, you can argue maybe it was heard a bit by it.
01:07:11.595 --> 01:07:18.546
[SPEAKER_01]: But let's use that as a line here to mark what hopefully might be a better run for Julia this time around with this championship.
01:07:18.846 --> 01:07:20.189
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe she should do an open challenge.
01:07:21.170 --> 01:07:25.377
[SPEAKER_02]: Probably do her probably be a lot more effective for her than what Carmelo needs.
01:07:26.015 --> 01:07:36.779
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and more importantly, I'm excited to see like this is the championship to showcase your NXT call-ups, whoever they're going to be, right?
01:07:36.799 --> 01:07:44.597
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a video, well, Kathy Kelly interviews Ripley and EO, just a preview of their match, Flare and Bliss wish them luck, but they also want the next title shot.
01:07:45.792 --> 01:07:52.705
[SPEAKER_01]: Fraxium I thought that was that was the end of the show like at least in recap form like that felt like the end of the show to me.
01:07:52.745 --> 01:07:53.426
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like okay.
01:07:53.446 --> 01:07:54.488
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is a three-hour show.
01:07:54.508 --> 01:07:56.733
[SPEAKER_01]: We have like a whole main event left.
01:07:56.753 --> 01:07:58.897
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we still have a 25-minute main event ahead of us.
01:07:59.778 --> 01:08:04.147
[SPEAKER_02]: Fraxium that's Nathan Frazier for those of you and an axiom.
01:08:04.988 --> 01:08:07.513
[SPEAKER_02]: You realize the difference between like
01:08:08.607 --> 01:08:15.603
[SPEAKER_02]: for all the hype surrounding Javon Evans, and it's like, I watch Nathan Fraser, and oh, he's just as good.
01:08:16.445 --> 01:08:16.546
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
01:08:16.566 --> 01:08:22.279
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, obviously, Javon Evans does circles around this guy, charisma-wise, but I mean, in terms of a,
01:08:23.356 --> 01:08:29.643
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they seem that they are much more invested in Javan Evans, but I just don't know how you look at a Nathan Frazier.
01:08:29.663 --> 01:08:34.569
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like this guy is unbelievable, and he is just totally wasted.
01:08:35.170 --> 01:08:38.093
[SPEAKER_01]: I think charisma is a major part of the equation, really.
01:08:38.634 --> 01:08:43.460
[SPEAKER_01]: And that, that is something that, I mean, Javan Evans is miles ahead of the sky.
01:08:43.780 --> 01:08:50.528
[SPEAKER_01]: You could, like, if you're right or in this company, I think you could easily write for Javan Evans, better than you can write for.
01:08:50.508 --> 01:09:17.089
[SPEAKER_02]: Nathan Frazier like obviously you could write a lot more for Fracks him that they currently do but he's on exactly segments where you get to flex those muscles either like there's nothing to work with here like this guy did at least get to talk in NXT and I mean he had like a goofy persona to him but certainly had a lot more personality than he does now where he's just you know he's you know like a backdoor painter here like
01:09:18.065 --> 01:09:24.598
[SPEAKER_02]: So, they meet with Gargano and Candice Lore, and I guess Gargano's been holding on to Axeam's mask all these weeks.
01:09:24.779 --> 01:09:31.953
[SPEAKER_02]: Axeam wants it back, so Gargano hands it to Candice and says, well, you've got to take it from her and Axe.
01:09:31.973 --> 01:09:34.318
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you're such an awful guy.
01:09:36.273 --> 01:09:40.057
[SPEAKER_02]: He wants a match with Gargano, and then he's going to take his mask back.
01:09:40.677 --> 01:09:42.980
[SPEAKER_02]: No, it sucks.
01:09:43.300 --> 01:09:43.881
[SPEAKER_01]: It's terrible.
01:09:45.282 --> 01:09:52.309
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, this tag division, I think has been pretty awful since the switch to two hours.
01:09:52.489 --> 01:09:59.156
[SPEAKER_01]: And at least in this first edition of a three hour show, it still looks like there have been in a bit of a holding pattern while the Wyatt and MFTs feed continues.
01:10:00.137 --> 01:10:04.221
[SPEAKER_01]: So, at least we're going to get a match between these two.
01:10:04.876 --> 01:10:06.277
[SPEAKER_02]: that's true.
01:10:06.297 --> 01:10:10.061
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we're going to get out of the single's match because the job is like disappeared here.
01:10:11.462 --> 01:10:13.083
[SPEAKER_02]: Ambulance match closes the show.
01:10:13.184 --> 01:10:18.048
[SPEAKER_02]: Alistair black and Damien Priest after six months went went by like a blink of an eye.
01:10:18.709 --> 01:10:20.770
[SPEAKER_02]: So they fight towards the ambulance early on.
01:10:21.051 --> 01:10:29.618
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a pound that sends black over the desk and he recovers using a chair and there's a Franken signer by priest met with a black mass.
01:10:29.678 --> 01:10:34.663
[SPEAKER_02]: So both men are
01:10:34.643 --> 01:10:37.287
[SPEAKER_02]: And he's hit with the double knees on the stretcher.
01:10:37.488 --> 01:10:42.276
[SPEAKER_02]: They fight by the ambulance and the back board gets driven into priest throat.
01:10:42.897 --> 01:10:48.286
[SPEAKER_02]: There were several instances here where you would have thought that his, his, his esophagus exploded here.
01:10:48.326 --> 01:10:52.372
[SPEAKER_02]: They put his head between the chair and kicked out the back board to the throat.
01:10:52.653 --> 01:10:53.194
[SPEAKER_02]: He's fine.
01:10:53.795 --> 01:10:55.217
[SPEAKER_02]: And then
01:10:55.197 --> 01:11:11.687
[SPEAKER_02]: They open the door, well, Zalina opens the door and there is reapply, who's just been waiting in this ambulance, presumably since her last pre-tap ended, and this place went nuts for this surprise, and she attacks Zalina, takes her out with a rib tie, it was actually a very good spot that they had here.
01:11:12.208 --> 01:11:14.893
[SPEAKER_02]: Pre-skits placed on the ambulance,
01:11:14.873 --> 01:11:28.568
[SPEAKER_02]: But he won't, or into the ambulance, won't let the door close, so priest uses a crutch, a fire extinguisher, and then the dreaded fireball right to the face of Alistair Black, and boy did he get this guy.
01:11:29.209 --> 01:11:42.163
[SPEAKER_02]: The crowd starts chanting, run him over, which he did not, but Alistair Black, clearly, whatever deep meditation he was able to exhibit in the moment,
01:11:42.346 --> 01:11:46.555
[SPEAKER_02]: recovered from this fireball in an amazing amount of time.
01:11:46.876 --> 01:11:59.865
[SPEAKER_02]: This was the equivalent of like, there was like a bug that like had flown onto his forehead that he just slid off and do you've never seen a guy so unimpacted by a fireball?
01:12:00.554 --> 01:12:00.835
[SPEAKER_01]: ever.
01:12:01.736 --> 01:12:08.268
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, um, maybe the burn will take some time to actually, you know, show up.
01:12:08.288 --> 01:12:11.374
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, this guy, his vision seemed remarkable after this.
01:12:11.734 --> 01:12:12.957
[SPEAKER_02]: They fight by the stands.
01:12:13.417 --> 01:12:16.703
[SPEAKER_02]: He takes a razor's edge onto the windshield of the ambulance.
01:12:17.164 --> 01:12:18.647
[SPEAKER_02]: And then,
01:12:18.627 --> 01:12:26.896
[SPEAKER_02]: they go on top of the ambulance and priest had brought out these tables and sends black off the ambulance through the tables.
01:12:27.196 --> 01:12:31.741
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this guy, you cannot knock, Alice or Black, not taken all the punishment in this match.
01:12:32.322 --> 01:12:38.088
[SPEAKER_02]: And priest goes down and the ambulance door is locked.
01:12:38.208 --> 01:12:41.111
[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, oh no, there's there's somebody that's going to attack Damian.
01:12:41.211 --> 01:12:43.774
[SPEAKER_02]: So he goes to this, he opens the side door.
01:12:43.957 --> 01:12:47.102
[SPEAKER_02]: Then he comes back, now he opens the regular doors.
01:12:47.883 --> 01:12:50.667
[SPEAKER_02]: And he's just trying to figure out how this goddamn ambulance opens.
01:12:51.067 --> 01:12:57.036
[SPEAKER_02]: Finally gets Alistair in there, and he shuts not one, not two, but three doors.
01:12:57.737 --> 01:13:06.690
[SPEAKER_02]: And he wins the ambulance match as Michael Cole proclaims, months upon months of torture let us to this.
01:13:06.670 --> 01:13:11.860
[SPEAKER_02]: And that was the end of Alster Black, but don't worry folks, still had 2020 vision by the end of this.
01:13:12.962 --> 01:13:19.775
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Alster Black won this feud, you see, because in the end, naming priest changed.
01:13:21.439 --> 01:13:22.541
[SPEAKER_01]: He changed, man.
01:13:23.002 --> 01:13:23.543
[SPEAKER_01]: You changed.
01:13:25.006 --> 01:13:28.813
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this feud has been moving along at a stale space for for six months.
01:13:28.793 --> 01:13:33.078
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think we could say a close with what I felt was a very strong final match here.
01:13:33.179 --> 01:13:35.181
[SPEAKER_01]: Highlight by several big spots.
01:13:35.261 --> 01:13:43.191
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean really starting from the Ripley appearance in the end here to the fireball to that resource edge on the ambulance to that final fall off the ambulance.
01:13:43.672 --> 01:13:47.277
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean black really got no offense in all that time.
01:13:47.477 --> 01:13:53.805
[SPEAKER_01]: So they really wanted you to believe that this was the end of this feud because like priest
01:13:53.785 --> 01:14:00.096
[SPEAKER_01]: killed this guy, you know, like for the past like the whole five minutes was just him destroying outer black.
01:14:00.617 --> 01:14:09.773
[SPEAKER_01]: So it certainly took me a bit longer to get into the match because I had such little interest in the feud, but they overcame that certainly with the action by the end.
01:14:09.833 --> 01:14:11.355
[SPEAKER_01]: They worked really hard in this one.
01:14:11.456 --> 01:14:16.384
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, they ended strong and I'm happy to have a fresh start for the both of them.
01:14:16.499 --> 01:14:17.860
[SPEAKER_02]: it ended strong.
01:14:18.081 --> 01:14:20.083
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't even have the problem with the fireball.
01:14:20.283 --> 01:14:21.865
[SPEAKER_02]: That should have been the end of the match.
01:14:21.885 --> 01:14:23.887
[SPEAKER_02]: Like that should have been the final thing to keep.
01:14:23.907 --> 01:14:26.069
[SPEAKER_02]: You should have done the fireball on top of the ambulance.
01:14:27.351 --> 01:14:27.611
[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
01:14:27.651 --> 01:14:28.292
[SPEAKER_01]: Off the tables.
01:14:28.832 --> 01:14:29.032
[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
01:14:29.313 --> 01:14:30.814
[SPEAKER_02]: That would have been great.
01:14:30.834 --> 01:14:31.835
[SPEAKER_02]: Like that ties in.
01:14:31.895 --> 01:14:34.098
[SPEAKER_02]: Like the fireball was a big part of this story.
01:14:34.498 --> 01:14:38.022
[SPEAKER_02]: But the fact that they did it when they did, I hated that part of the match.
01:14:38.062 --> 01:14:39.263
[SPEAKER_02]: But it was the first.
01:14:39.524 --> 01:14:42.827
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the puppet in the ambulance and all that as well.
01:14:43.010 --> 01:14:45.352
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I've been in ambulances, though, before.
01:14:45.593 --> 01:14:49.277
[SPEAKER_02]: And there's always material there for a good old fireball.
01:14:50.758 --> 01:14:52.620
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, yeah, sure, yeah.
01:14:52.700 --> 01:14:53.922
[SPEAKER_02]: So there you go.
01:14:54.082 --> 01:14:56.224
[SPEAKER_02]: It was the first three-hour SmackDown.
01:14:57.646 --> 01:15:01.890
[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't show that certainly I did like the fact that they were created.
01:15:01.990 --> 01:15:11.160
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yes, the Drew Match happens next week, but you're getting several big names that are all gunning for the belt with Sami Zain, with Randy Orton,
01:15:11.140 --> 01:15:14.708
[SPEAKER_02]: No, you do have the introduction of these new characters.
01:15:14.768 --> 01:15:17.134
[SPEAKER_02]: So there was a certain freshness to the feel.
01:15:18.096 --> 01:15:19.499
[SPEAKER_02]: You got a surprise title change.
01:15:19.679 --> 01:15:21.463
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how much that changes.
01:15:21.524 --> 01:15:28.339
[SPEAKER_02]: The trajectory for Julia, but hopefully, this is a better take to with the US title than the first run.
01:15:28.319 --> 01:15:28.960
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
01:15:28.980 --> 01:15:41.941
[SPEAKER_02]: I would say like this was a show that it certainly had a lot of a lot of good to it and did at the same time have your requisite problems that a three hour WWE program is going to can be.
01:15:42.421 --> 01:15:42.762
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
01:15:42.782 --> 01:15:45.607
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me let me add before I get to my final thoughts.
01:15:46.107 --> 01:15:53.359
[SPEAKER_01]: I did not watch this live and I think hopefully most of us have been through this long enough by now, especially with these three hours shows.
01:15:53.399 --> 01:15:54.681
[SPEAKER_01]: There was no one watching these live.
01:15:54.661 --> 01:16:00.230
[SPEAKER_01]: to know that you should be creating some plenty of pad time, like start the show later so you could zip through all the commercials.
01:16:00.410 --> 01:16:02.513
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a much more enjoyable experience that way.
01:16:04.416 --> 01:16:06.059
[SPEAKER_01]: But I thought this was a good show.
01:16:06.099 --> 01:16:16.095
[SPEAKER_01]: They put a lot of effort into making this feel like a season premiere with a lot of big debuts, repurns, in Matt Cardone's case, and just like
01:16:16.075 --> 01:16:28.123
[SPEAKER_01]: Like a culminating big stipulation match up with this ambulance match, you had a very good Carmella Hayes, Johnny Gorgano match, I thought the multi woman tag match was also very good as well.
01:16:28.664 --> 01:16:35.299
[SPEAKER_01]: And after that, a title change here with Julia, like it was a newsworthy show that I certainly kept my intention throughout the entire day.
01:16:36.342 --> 01:17:02.323
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let us go and we will say goodbye to those here on the YouTube channel, but this weekend folks, Russell King them 20, if you are interested in hearing way and I run through that show, we will be up on the post wrestling cafe this Sunday night otherwise, free feed, you will hear from Bruce Lord and Karen Peterson, plus Saturday evening John Kleinchester joins Kate from Montreal for collision course as they start the residency in Arlington, Texas.
01:17:02.343 --> 01:17:03.565
[SPEAKER_02]: So that is what is
01:17:03.545 --> 01:17:26.177
[SPEAKER_02]: uh... on deck for the weekend and then we'll be back on monday after raw from Brooklyn new york with the first raw of two thousand twenty six these stranger things addition of raw is correct yet will see if the vibe might be similar week and we expect some and exceeding you know appearances to show it's going to be a very big show on monday i would imagine like you you should shoot like uh...
01:17:26.410 --> 01:17:51.372
[SPEAKER_01]: a big angle I would think on on on Monday like you I think they're going to treat this like one of the if not the biggest rob the year doing a stranger things tie in I think is really their attempt they want people like with the strangers things logo on Netflix you know people who might be interested in the show might just decide to click on this thing so this will be one of their big attempts at grabbing a non-gressing audience which could be good or or bad.
01:17:51.352 --> 01:17:54.648
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we'll get like the stranger things opening, but it's going to be the raw logo.
01:17:54.950 --> 01:17:57.120
[SPEAKER_02]: And then because it's year two, we'll get chapter two.
01:17:59.230 --> 01:17:59.612
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
01:18:00.356 --> 01:18:00.798
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
01:18:01.039 --> 01:18:01.381
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
01:18:01.743 --> 01:18:02.627
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
