Natalie: So back Sorry. So I got excited.
Chloe Hartman: We are back and maybe better than ever. Yeah.
Natalie: I would say I would say the break did some good.
Chloe Hartman: took some time away and we're back for season two, baby.
Natalie: It's season two Wow, how exciting.
Chloe Hartman: Season two. yeah, honestly very exciting. I yeah, I can't wait.
Natalie: Hey, do you wanna say your name and my name in case people are just now hopping in? Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: yeah, yeah, yeah. I was gonna get to that. So sorry. We're your hosts, Natalie. That's you.
Natalie: He
Chloe Hartman: And I'm Chloe. And
Natalie: Kobe.
Chloe Hartman: we're ironically both wearing like where we're like, you know, home state kind of thing. Yeah, around the that.
Natalie: Our geolocation, yeah. Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: So that's fun.
Natalie: Yeah, for those not watching Chloe's wearing a Kansas City baseball shirt.
Chloe Hartman: Yes, yeah.
Natalie: And I'm wearing a Dallas Wings jersey. Wings up, baby! Wings up. Okay. Okay, hey, speaking of wings up,
Chloe Hartman: Uh-huh, wings up. Hey Ugh.
Natalie: Chloe, do you want to let's tell the group, let's tell the class. We did
Chloe Hartman: gosh.
Natalie: get to hang out together in person, IRL last week,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: and we actually had planned on recording this episode then, and we
Chloe Hartman: We did Yes.
Natalie: did not manage our time in a way that
Chloe Hartman: Well
Natalie: prohi inhibited that. But I will say we were
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, it I think that we were we made the most of our time that we did have and
Natalie: absolutely, absolutely.
Chloe Hartman: you know, we just didn't get to that this part and
Natalie: Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: you know that's okay.
Natalie: And we know how to do this part when we're in different states. So we just we
Chloe Hartman: Right.
Natalie: went ahead and said, Hey, you know what? we're used to doing this in other states, we went ahead and just decided to do this and used our time differently. The other thing, and I never said
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yes.
Natalie: this out loud actually when we were The other thing is the Airbnb we were staying at did not have good acoustics. And so
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: it didn't feel like the right situation to I would have had to do a lot of sound engineering and I didn't want to. So we just decided to do it
Chloe Hartman: Can't have that. yeah. Yeah. Nice.
Natalie: Do you want to tell everyone what what we got up to last week? We really did. We did.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, we really fucked shit up. we did. We we heard Best Friends Weekend and we accomplished that mission. And it was it was
Natalie: We went for it. Absolutely. It was so good.
Chloe Hartman: so good. Every time somebody asks me how it was, I'm like, you know what? It was just like the perfect the
Natalie: Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: perfect mixture of we did some relaxing. We did some exploring. We did some dilly dallying, which is our favorite thing to do. found a bunch
Natalie: Yeah. Mm-hmm. We love to dilly dally.
Chloe Hartman: of bookstores. We
Natalie: Accidentally participated in a bookstore crawl that we didn't know was happening.
Chloe Hartman: Yes, yes. Right. Right. Yes, we did do that. And f I think we had probably three
Natalie: Coffee shops.
Chloe Hartman: coffees that day. That day in particular. And
Natalie: Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: yeah, like I mean, I guess I'm just like trying to think of like a way to basically like Friday we got in or I got in. You picked me up from the airport.
Natalie: Yes. I also got in
Chloe Hartman: we s yeah she got in. My my flight was shorter than her drive, guys. Which I I just like think it's that's so funny.
Natalie: It was it was
Chloe Hartman: but yeah we did that. She she picked me up. We went to HEB. not my first time at HEB. I I do love H E B, but it was my first time getting guys they have these flower tortillas, they're butter f flower tortillas. my god, if you are anywhere near an H E B, go get you some of those. That's on our recommendations list.
Natalie: If you know anyone near an H E B, just ask them to mail it to you, yeah.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, no seriously. I yeah, we did that. We went settled into the Airbnb. yeah, yeah, we did. We did, but that was like if I had to like
Natalie: We got other we got other groceries as well. We didn't just get tortillas. I wouldn't put it past
Chloe Hartman: encapsulate the trip with like a singular object, it would be a flower tortilla from AGP.
Natalie: It would be the tortillas, yeah. You know, and I wouldn't put it past either of us, just f for me to pick you up from the airport and say we have to go to HE B, we gotta pick up tortillas, absolutely would happen. But we did also have we picked up groceries for the weekend.
Chloe Hartman: Yes. Yeah, we we went, got some groceries, got a papaya that n I I don't think either of us ate.
Natalie: No, we left it at my brother's house. I don't know if they ate it either.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. We just were we really needed this half of a papaya because we thought it was so cool, but I don't think we yeah, we just did not eat it.
Natalie: We didn't eat it.
Chloe Hartman: and then yeah, went to the Airbnb, freshened up, we went and got some fire Indian food. yeah, that
Natalie: yeah. I forgot about the Indian food. That was so good.
Chloe Hartman: was really good. had some pool time. We had a pool in the backyard of our Airbnb. That was a blast and a half.
Natalie: I'm th the Indian food place, I wanna shout shout them out if you're in the Dallas Fort Worth area. It was just spicy village in Carrollton, I th I believe. Yeah,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, it was really good.
Natalie: and we also got cookies. Don't forget Cookie Society. We got really good cookies from Cookie Society, the only society I wanna see crumble. And
Chloe Hartman: yeah. I forgot about that already. Really good cookies. Yeah. Yes.
Natalie: it was they were so good. Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: they were
Natalie: And then yeah, Saturday
Chloe Hartman: they were
Natalie: Saturday we woke up. I woke up later, which was impressive. I don't really sleep in anymore, so I was very excited. I woke up later
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, no, that was great.
Natalie: and We decided you made breakfast. We had picked up some cinnamon rolls at H E B as well. Delicious cinnamon rolls. So Chloe made
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Natalie: Chloe made bacon and eggs and we ate cinnamon rolls and we had yogurt, of course, and then
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: we ran into this huge issue where the Keurig just was it was being a Keurig.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: I mean, all Keurigs end up doing this in their lifetime, but it
Chloe Hartman: Right. Right.
Natalie: it was not working and we were we were thinking
Chloe Hartman: Shoot.
Natalie: What are what are what are two girls supposed to do without their coffee? And that's that's really where the day got started.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah, it we just went into so many cute small businesses, got a couple rocks.
Natalie: Yes, so we were in the We did get a couple Okay, so we were in the Bishop Arts district of Dallas. So it's this little neighborhood in
Chloe Hartman: Yes. Highly recommend.
Natalie: in Deep Elm. And we actually didn't Chloe asked me, she asked if I knew anything about it or anything, because you know I'm I'm from Texas. I've been to Dallas many times. And I didn't. Actually, what ended up happening was I had sent Chloe over the summer a TikTok of bookstores in the DFW area. So
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: we decided that we wanted to get coffee and go to a bookstore.
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: And Chloe Chloe said, hey, check that TikTok while I'm in the shower. Well, that research showed me that
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: on that TikTok it had six or seven bookstores, and three or four of them were in the Bishop Arts area. So I said, Hey, why
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: don't we go to this area? And Chloe said, Okay, we knew nothing about it. And then as we're driving up,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: Chloe goes, Ooh, a metaphysical store. Let's go there! And I said, Okay, so we stopped at we parked on the side street and went to Luna Metaphysical. That's their name. They that's a cool store. Mm-hmm. They
Chloe Hartman: Mm, mm hmm. Yeah, big shout out to them. Very Very cool.
Natalie: they have rocks, stones, crystals,
Chloe Hartman: Hearts
Natalie: tarot cards. We both I got a deck
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: for my brother who loves tarot and his birthday is this weekend and Chloe got the same deck.
Chloe Hartman: Yes. Yeah. It's a nice deck
Natalie: Because it was awesome. It's a it's a really cool deck. It looks really cool. And then we we got some rocks because we followed them on
Chloe Hartman: Yep, yep.
Natalie: Instagram and we've been trying to figure out what we neither of us remembered the name. We had a whole day after this, so neither of us remembered the name of these rocks, but I have been in contact
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: with the store, so we will have an answer soon. So So yeah.
Chloe Hartman: Yes, yes. Yeah. We yeah. And really like I just feel like that the day was made like that set the tone for the day and I think it was the rocks that helped, you know? We were f we
Natalie: Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: just followed our intuition and we just walked around and got coffee
Natalie: We just walked around, we got we asked the girls, I don't know if they're the I think they're the owners of the store just based off of their Instagram, but we asked them
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: where to get coffee and so they named a few places and so we went from there
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: and then yeah, walked around. There were multiple there were four bookstores in that area, three or four, and then
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: some different shops. Chloe had a blast at this one shop that what shop what I think it's where you got all of your tin Yes, Chloe
Chloe Hartman: The the heart stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I forget what it's called. my gosh. I just loved that place dearly.
Natalie: Yeah, and in every single cashier because I mean we bought stuff let me tell you we bought stuff every
Chloe Hartman: yeah, we did.
Natalie: single cashier that we came across was so nice we had
Chloe Hartman: yeah.
Natalie: full on conversations with all of them there are these ladies at one shop who know all about Best Friend of the Pod Laney's dog now because I got Laney
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: a sticker because I said this looks like her dog
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: and they asked to see a picture and then we talked about the dogs breed and all
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: that kind of stuff and then there was one lady who checked me out who looked like Keke Palmer's cousin and so
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: we talked all about that and she talked about how when she was younger 15 years ago kids at a mall actually came up to her thinking she was Keke Palmer and just every
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: everywhere we went in that area.
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: Everyone was so nice. We there's a romance
Chloe Hartman: yeah.
Natalie: bookstore that has just like the cutest little everything. So yeah.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah. And we we were walking to this other bookstore and we were walking in and this girl just stops us. She was like walking into was connected to an art co op and she was loading some things up and she just like looks at us and she's like Are y'all twins? It is like f flabbergasted. Yeah.
Natalie: I literally turned around and sh shouted at us, Are y'all twins Yeah. We said, no, we're not. We get that. You know, we've been asked before, but we're actually just friends. And she said, Y'all
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: are soulmates.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, that was really that was really precious. and she was like,
Natalie: Yeah, yeah.
Chloe Hartman: You you gotta get your DNA tested. I was like, Yeah. but
Natalie: Yeah, she told us we needed to get a DNA test. So we were like, well, if you get closer, we actually don't look as alike as you think we do. But yeah, from afar, she thought she thought we were twins. And we found out that her
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, who we
Natalie: girlfriend is a twin. So, you know, we just found out
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: so much about the citizens of the Dallas area. And then I think we swam that night. Yeah, we swam that night, and then we
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yep. What else did we do that night? Yes.
Natalie: We also the next day my sister, little sister of the pod Lacey, came over and we
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: had arts and crafts time. So
Chloe Hartman: We did. I started Book Bedazzling Guys. been working on that at work when I need a break from working.
Natalie: nice. Love that. Love that.
Chloe Hartman: I I'll just like listen to a a podcast or whatever and I'll do that
Natalie: Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: and yeah, so I did forget to get the red ones from you, so I need to go either look at Addy's collection or Go buy some, but yeah.
Natalie: Listeners, th the book she's bedazzling is mostly red. So
Chloe Hartman: Yes, yes. It's got s red and some black letters on it, so
Natalie: And two white stripes. So Yes. Yeah. That's the hard part. I mean
Chloe Hartman: I have all the letters done. So that's fun. Yeah. Got those all done. Yeah.
Natalie: The the part that that is less detailed goes pretty quickly once you get onto it. So U
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: also we went into this store so we we wound up we went to this coffee shop and they had a photo booth in it called Ola
Chloe Hartman: yeah.
Natalie: Ola Coffee and we went in n I'm not even kidding,
Chloe Hartman: I really liked that.
Natalie: ten minutes before they were supposed to close but
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: they were busy, like people kept coming in. I said, Ola coffee, you are not Closing at four o'clock, but they had a photo booth,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: so that was a lot of fun. But then we were going to go somewhere else, and I looked across the street and I said, That looks cute, and so that was not
Chloe Hartman: I forgot we didn't even that was yeah, I forgot that.
Natalie: that was not part of the plan. That was our spirits
Chloe Hartman: No.
Natalie: guiding us, that was our feminine intuition guiding us.
Chloe Hartman: We the spirit led us where our trust was without borders.
Natalie: Exactly, exactly, into this boutique called
Chloe Hartman: my gosh.
Natalie: called Talking Out of Turn. I just keep wanting to call it
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Two for sure.
Natalie: Toot. Yeah, all of their logo says toot T-O-O-T. And we had the time of our lives in Toot and
Chloe Hartman: Staring at my bag right now. I'm thinking about that place. That was so fun. Yeah.
Natalie: I have I put this up for you. I got this. I got a mystery bag. And so that was
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: fun. It smelled so good in there. It was Chloe Natalie
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: shit for sure. Just lots of fun colors.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. We were we kept telling the lady, we're like, We are your target audience. You So Yeah. Yes.
Natalie: You nailed it. You made this store for us and I actually keep meaning to look them up online because there's more stuff I wanna put on my birthday list 'cause my birthday's soon.
Chloe Hartman: yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: So Okay, and then yeah, and then the next day we Lacey came over, we crafted and all of that, and then we we watched a movie called Stop That Train.
Chloe Hartman: We did. We Yes. Yes. We sure did. Crazy.
Natalie: That movie's crazy. Yeah. And then it's we laughed hard multiple times, but that's a it's a trip, that's for sure. And then
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yeah. It's literally a trip.
Natalie: Yeah, and then we also we went to a wings basketball game, the wings versus the Kinetic
Chloe Hartman: Wings up.
Natalie: wings up, baby, the wings versus the Connecticut Suns Chloe, tell us
Chloe Hartman: Had so much fun.
Natalie: Tell us your experience.
Chloe Hartman: it was a blast and a half. I was just it was just everything I could dream of and more. I
Natalie: Yeah. With the exception that Azzi Fudd is currently not playing. That is the only thing that would have made it better.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, sh correct. Yes. So yeah, and it was also like breast cancer awareness night. and so go boobs.
Natalie: yeah. Go boobs.
Chloe Hartman: boobs up.
Natalie: Boom boobs up guys.
Chloe Hartman: and so they were giving these pink bandanas, which I fucking love a bandana. I've been a
Natalie: I'm actually I'm genuinely shocked you're not wearing it right now. I would have put money on you having it on when we got on the podcast.
Chloe Hartman: I I should have. I just my brain is literally fried. I also I don't know. Everything is 'cause I have some updates for you guys, so just hold on there. Everything's in shambles around here. Yeah.
Natalie: Just buckle up. The vibe is in shambles. Nevertheless, she persists. Keep going.
Chloe Hartman: I'm I'm persisting. I'm pretty calm, cool, and collected.
Natalie: You are You are
Chloe Hartman: Think yeah, you are girl. So what was I? yeah, bandana. so they're giving out pink bandanas to the first 3,000 fans, which we were like surely will be a part of that because we were getting there early on purpose.
Natalie: Surely.
Chloe Hartman: And there wasn't a line when we got there, and definitely not 3,000 people in there yet. I don't think. I don't know. I have a hard time gauging like.
Natalie: Yeah. I was gonna say I actually couldn't tell you how many people were in there. I don't know. It was sold out. I mean, I know that, so yeah.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, same. Correct. Yeah. But anyways, so but they said that they were out of bandanas and my like you c you would have sworn you told me Paige Beckers was out for the night, but I was crushed. No but no
Natalie: She was
Chloe Hartman: it I just like I was like I I really wanted that souvenir. And so I made it my mission to find a bandana whether like somebody doesn't want theirs or 'cause sometimes you go to those things
Natalie: Come heller.
Chloe Hartman: and you're like, I don't really care about this, you know? Like you gotta you know Yeah, so
Natalie: Yeah. I didn't even know they were giving bandanas out or whatever. Yeah. Come come hell or high water, Chloe was getting a bandana.
Chloe Hartman: Yes, and I did. I found a security guy that I was like, Do you know where any other bandanas are? And he just flips one out of his pocket. And I was like, I could give you a hug. Can I give you a hug? I had had a vodka seltzer at that point, so I did I did give this man a hug for giving me a bandana. So that was fun. But yeah, the game itself was so fun. It was great. Natalie and I love sports and we love just
Natalie: Big sports girls.
Chloe Hartman: going and cheering on women, so yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: Cheering, we love yeah, we love cheering, being loud, being and being loud with other people who are excited about the same thing. It's something that you get at
Chloe Hartman: Yes, yeah.
Natalie: at it's so moving to me at concerts and at sports events and
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: things like that that we're all passionate at least for this two hours or whatever, we're all passionate about the same thing for a minute. And
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Collective eff effervescence.
Natalie: Yeah, collective effervescence, baby. And you know what? We
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: were sitting in the the Li fan club section. Everyone what is Li's full name? Why can't I remember her name?
Chloe Hartman: Yes. Yeah. Li I I think it's pronounced young, but I'm not a hundred percent sure.
Natalie: Yes. So Liang on the on the wings our
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: section, I don't know there was some
Chloe Hartman: At some point they just start chanting we wa lee we wa lee and we're like
Natalie: It and it wasn't
Chloe Hartman: whoa
Natalie: I mean we do too. We love Li and
Chloe Hartman: Let the coaches coach, am I right, you know?
Natalie: yeah, and they're like, put Li in, don't forget about Li on the bench and then anytime Li fouled
Chloe Hartman: Yeah all right.
Natalie: So Li is a big girl. She's very tall. She and so anytime
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, very tall.
Natalie: she fouled, they'd be like, She didn't foul. Or she My
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: favorite was when she traveled, and they were like, that wasn't
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: a travel, and I looked at you and I said, That was a travel, right? And you're like, that was definitely a travel.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: I was like, I saw the travel. So I know the refs saw the travel. But yeah. Yes. There was some
Chloe Hartman: It was so funny. Yeah. But we had a great section and like I think there was I think it was a bachelorette party of some women like in a group. Yes. It was
Natalie: Some reunion behind us. Something women loving women, I think. So, yeah.
Chloe Hartman: and I was like, honestly, that's dope.
Natalie: It was funny though 'cause I was listening while you were off probably procuring either our concessions and or giving a hug to the security guy. I was all I was
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: listening to the girls behind us. They were older than us, probably not by much, probably mid thirties, and
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: so they and it did seem as though it was some kind of reunion bachelorette situation. And
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: one of them was trying to g convince the other that she would have the that the one she was talking to would have been able to play at the WNBA level and the girl was like, No, I wouldn't have. No. And she was
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: like, I didn't even play at the college level. And the other one said, Yeah, but you definitely could've. And she said, Well, I had the power, but I don't have the handles these girls have, and I didn't have the speed. And she listed all the reasons she couldn't, and the other girl just didn't believe her. And I thought that the one she was talking to had very good handle on an awareness of of of her talent. And the other she the other girl was
Chloe Hartman: Pop off.
Natalie: like, Yeah. She was just like like no you could have
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: played in the WNBA and she's like obviously not because I'm not so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, right, right, right, yeah. yeah, no, that was so much fun. We did. That was so much fun. Almost got a dolly flash
Natalie: And then we Yeah, and then we went out dancing and that was a lot of fun. Yeah. And then
Chloe Hartman: chat. I didn't though, don't worry guys.
Natalie: The words that Chloe just said were Dolly Flash Tat. What
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: I heard, so listeners, I want to clarify for you, because what I heard was Dolly flashed at. Like a dolly almost flashed you. And so
Chloe Hartman: I wish.
Natalie: yeah, she but Chloe did almost get
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: a Dolly Parton themed flash tattoo. R. I p Dolly. What a woman. What a woman.
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm. what a woman let's just take a minute, everyone.
Natalie: Take a moment of silence for the queen herself. I mean I mean for real. Like I we both actually stopped. She's just I mean, Dolly Parton.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, no, actually, you know, maybe someday not maybe someday, maybe we'll ad we'll talk more on that, but yeah, RIP to the Queen. I know. We do.
Natalie: Yeah. We don't have time. We gave ourselves a we gave ourselves a time limit and we did not include talking about Dolly's legacy within today's episode rundown.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, because I think that's that might be an episode in and of itself.
Natalie: Yeah, so yeah, just some dolly thoughts. We got distracted. We
Chloe Hartman: Where were we? We went dancing, we
Natalie: went dancing, you almost got a tattoo but didn't. And then
Chloe Hartman: Correct.
Natalie: we went home and passed out because it was one in the morning at that point. That is
Chloe Hartman: Ya
Natalie: the hardest I've gone in a very long time. And so
Chloe Hartman: yeah. Yeah. And I if I'm gonna be honest with you guys, I am I feel like my like I I am still recovering mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically. And I think that's all the things I'm recovering. Like I have not gone to bed at a decent time. in the past week. so that yeah, there's that. so yeah, and then yeah, we passed out Monday, we sped clean cleaned our Airbnb and like literally within an hour, w yeah,
Natalie: We were swimming in time. Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: we worked best on a deadline and that was very much proof of that.
Natalie: It we had to be out of our Airbnb at eleven and squad, I am not even kidding you, when I say that this Airbnb was a disaster. It wasn't
Chloe Hartman: It was like
Natalie: it wasn't gross because all of our drinking and anything c crazy in that sense was done outside of the house, but we had cooked all weekend. I
Chloe Hartman: Right.
Natalie: had already done a load of dishes the day before, but we had cooked and eaten more since then, so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. There was a lot of dishes, there was a lot of crafts, there was a lot of
Natalie: We there were dishes, crafts. My whole my whole craft inventory was just all over one room. We had moved
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: two mattresses into the living room and made a mega bed. We we had to do,
Chloe Hartman: Mm, mhm.
Natalie: you know, get the towels, pack up, all of that kind of stuff. And I had brought so much shit because For Best Friends Weekend, we wanted to we wanted to record the podcast, so I had that. We wanted to do crafts, so I had all that. So you know, we wanted board games, all of that. And so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: there was just stuff everywhere. And we woke up, we had to be out at eleven. My alarm went
Chloe Hartman: Everywhere. Oi Yeah.
Natalie: off at 9:30 or 9. 9 or 9.30. And
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: we ate we ate breakfast first. We sat down and had a whole last breakfast first.
Chloe Hartman: We did. I my god. We did. We literally just were like chilling like we didn't have to be out in an hour and a half. It was so funny.
Natalie: And we crushed it. I had fifteen minutes left a afterward. I was like, hey, I'm swimming in time. I mean I really
Chloe Hartman: I rearranged my whole suitc like I repacked my whole suitcase. I didn't just throw
Natalie: Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: everything in. I was organizing. I was like it was it we did.
Natalie: Yeah. We crushed it.
Chloe Hartman: We did.
Natalie: It's the the instant gratification that comes with that type of situation just it's I could get high off of it. I could just I put that in my veins. I'd like to snort
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: that. There are so many there are so few times in life when you can actually I would
Chloe Hartman: I'd like to take a puff of that.
Natalie: I will puff puff pass on the instant gratification because I I there're so many ti or there's so few times in your life when instant gratification is actually Good. Chloe and
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: I have had deep conversations about how instant gratification
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: is actually really hurting, hurting all of us. But
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: no matter, we'll talk that some other day. Maybe when we talk about Dolly.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, I was gonna say maybe in the Dolly episode.
Natalie: but so in that situation, though, there's no way it can hurt. First, I knew we could do it. I was not worried. I
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: I also set like I wasn't worried and I knew I was like I'm gonna get such a rush such a rush
Chloe Hartman: yeah.
Natalie: from getting this done in an hour and a half and
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: I chat listen I have this thing where I say I'm swimming in time all the time and I people people get confused by it because sometimes it does not appear as if I'm swimming in time. However, I'm I'm always making it. I always cross the line.
Chloe Hartman: I'm one thing I love to do is swim and I'm always swimming in the time.
Natalie: And I'm always swimming in time. There was at one point over the weekend we needed to do something and we had hours. it might have been before the game or something. And we were like, We're s we're swimming in time and then we're like, No, we're drowning in time. It was almost too much time, you know? What were we supposed to do with all that? So yeah.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. I'm just chuckling because I'm thinking about later on that day and our the rest
Natalie: yeah.
Chloe Hartman: of our day before going because my flight wasn't until later, but we had to be at the out of the Airbnb guys. And we were like you know, like what are we gonna do to fill our day? We were both exhausted and like so it was just like our you know, we gotta find something chill to do, but we gotta find something to take our time up and so, you know, we got pedicure I got a pedicure and that got our nails done. we got some food. I was definitely at one point felt the hangover hit. It w wasn't until later. So yeah, that was unfortunate, but but nevertheless, you know what I did? I persisted.
Natalie: Persisted Can I can I tell you something horrible? Just absolutely horrible.
Chloe Hartman: What?
Natalie: And you're gonna be mad. You might friendship break up with me. But sometimes
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: when you get a hangover, I get kinda happy about it because you went s so long in our mid-20s. You were like, I don't ever get hungover. Chloe used to say that all the time, Sky. She would be like, I
Chloe Hartman: I did it.
Natalie: don't ever throw up from drinking. I don't ever get hungover. Guess who I've seen thrown up from throw up from drinking more than anyone else in my life. That's all I'm saying. So and
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: so but she didn't she really didn't get hangovers until the
Chloe Hartman: No.
Natalie: past few years. And so now there's a little mean part of me that's like, yeah, karma. For all of
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: those times when we would drink drink responsibly, guys. Don't drink and drive. but all of those times in our
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah. We don't drink and try
Natalie: I know, but I was about to tell a story about us drinking and then no, we don't drink
Chloe Hartman: Usually, right? yeah, yeah.
Natalie: a drive. Not usually, we don't drink a drive. but
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, no no no.
Natalie: but okay. No
Chloe Hartman: Right? No, I don't no
Natalie: You said right. No, I was the DD the other night and I stopped drinking well before it was time to go home. So
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, you did.
Natalie: and I I also just don't drink a whole lot anymore. But I drank I had a margarita
Chloe Hartman: I was like, You drink more than I have seen you drink in a bit.
Natalie: I drank more than I've seen me drink in a bit. but it was very spaced out. And also I drank water.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. No, I think it was great. I
Natalie: And yeah. Cause I knew I was like, I'm the DD here. I obviously
Chloe Hartman: Yeah yeah.
Natalie: you know. I get a little bit of a thrill not a thrill, that sounds really mean, but when you get hung over a
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm. No, there's like a there's like a yeah. No, I I get it.
Natalie: For all those times that we drank and I got hangovers and you didn't, now it's like and you'd be like, I feel fine.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: And I'd be like,
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: we're good. I need to sit here and watch Ted Lasso all day long. We can't do anything else.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah.
Natalie: but yeah, so but we also of course wound up at another bookstore, Barnes and Noble. And chat,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: this is what happened. Chloe didn't miss her flight. However, Chloe
Chloe Hartman: No. No.
Natalie: also didn't make her flight. So would you like to just tell everyone about
Chloe Hartman: Correct. Yeah. Well, we had our time frame very planned out. Like, you know, I I am not an early airport goer, but you know, I like Natalie was like, you know, DFD or Love Fields bigger than Kansas City. I'm like, yeah, I get it, but I still think I'm good. But we were like, okay, let's still
Natalie: Hold on.
Chloe Hartman: just shoot for not four, four thirty.
Natalie: Hold on, hold on, hold on. Chloe, for the group,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Natalie: when you say you're not an early airport goer, let's say and it it just as an example, if your plane
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: was boarding at three PM, what
Chloe Hartman: Uh-huh.
Natalie: time do you think you should be at the airport? If your plane is boarding at three PM?
Chloe Hartman: What time do I think I should be? Probably like two ish.
Natalie: What time will you be at the airport?
Chloe Hartman: I would say it could be anywhere from two ten to like two thirty.
Natalie: Okay, okay. Go on. I just wanted
Chloe Hartman: And that's usually yeah.
Natalie: I wanted to give a frame of reference for for the class to know what we were working with in this situation. Go on.
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's just it's just how it is. I really just don't I mean I'm not that type of person that's like, I need to go find my gate and then I can go like go get a snack and no, I know what I'm doing. I'm gonna get it done and then I'm gonna
Natalie: Okay, you're being hateful about the type of people who behave like me, but okay. So also
Chloe Hartman: Well, I it's just, you know, I know the gate's gonna be there and it's yeah, it's whatever. If I am like going to a bigger airport, like I usually will be more early, but I did enjoy getting to the airport as early as I did. Anyway, whatever. Okay, let's backtrack here. I basically we have our hours or our afternoon planned out to where we're like, okay, yeah, we'll go to Barnes Noble, we'll get some lunch, whatever, whatever. And then, you know, we'll head that way at 3 30 or whatever time it was. And Natalie all afternoon was checking the time. Just like every now and then she'd
Natalie: She
Chloe Hartman: be like, you know, like we got about this much time left. And Then we leave Barnes Noble to go to the airport and she's like, we are late.
Natalie: And
Chloe Hartman: And I was like, when did we get late? And I
Natalie: I was okay, I had it in my phone. I was checking the time and also the traffic because we were in Dallas. And
Chloe Hartman: Right. Right.
Natalie: so I wanted to make sure that there was no traffic. And then all of a sudden,
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: we're at Barnes and Noble. And then all of a sudden everything was fine. And then we were very late. So
Chloe Hartman: Yes. And you know, I'm like, okay, maybe there's an accident. And like, you know, she presses start. I look at her phone. I'm like, damn, we are like there this this route is just lit up red, you know? And
Natalie: Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: then at some point I'm like, you know what, I'm just gonna change my flight to the later one. I'm not making it because I think our ETA it kept getting pushed back to where I was getting there like five minutes before boarding closed and that just wasn't gonna wasn't gonna work. So
Natalie: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: yeah, I switched my flight and then, you know, there's a little bit of stress off because now I have like four hours like to spare. And Natalie keeps driving and then all of a sudden she's like you know, and I'm not paying attention 'cause I'm I'm just passenger princess for the weekend and I'm queuing up songs, and then like all of a sudden I just hear her go, I don't know where the heck we're at. Like, this is not where the airport is. And I'm like, she deadass. Well, I think yeah, so I guess what
Natalie: I was so confused. I was like, I've been to this airport so many times.
Chloe Hartman: had happened was she just like had typed in Dallas Love field like the whole day
Natalie: Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: and was like looking at the time there, but then when we were going, like It just was took us to middle of Dallas.
Natalie: have just clicked on because I was typing in Dallas Lovefield departures all day long. All day I was I was checking
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: the right spot. and then I typed in Dallas Lovefield. There's huge chance me and my ADHD brain just just said Dallas directions took a smack
Chloe Hartman: Right.
Natalie: dab to downtown Dallas and deep in the heart and it was so funny.
Chloe Hartman: Middle of Dallas, deep in the heart of Texas. Am I right? It was It was comical. I was like, my god, that is like
Natalie: Heh.
Chloe Hartman: I was just dying. I was not, you know, I wasn't stressed at all. I'm like, whatever. I was like, you know,
Natalie: You had already changed the flight at this point. Like it didn't matter.
Chloe Hartman: honestly, I was more like, you know, like 'Cause you still had to drive that night and I was like, you know, I was just more I was just more worried about you.
Natalie: Yeah, and I'll tell you, that was rough. I won't lie about that.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah. So I yeah, it just it was it was so funny, but and we got some so we got some McDonald's and then we or some water, we didn't even get food, but yeah.
Natalie: Chloe was so sweet precious Chloe, it was so hungover all day that she just kept needing water and we kept running out of water because Chloe kept needing it. And so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah
Natalie: but we're trying to get to the airport on time, so we can't stop for water. And then I take
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: us to bum ass middle of Dallas and
Chloe Hartman: Uh-huh.
Natalie: we now have four hours to work with. There was a McDonald's
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: across the way, and I said, Well, I guess we can get you some water now.
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: I pulled into McDonald's and I said, two large waters, please. It was 76 cents.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. 76 cents in case you guys were wondering. It was just it was like actually comical, but and I just joked, I was like, Natalie, did you just want to spend more time with me? Or like, you know, you could have just said that. Like I would have, you know, I would
Natalie: Course, always.
Chloe Hartman: have just made the later flight, but
Natalie: And then and then Chloe guys Chloe and I are a bad combo because we can convince the other one to do anything and it's and by convince I mean
Chloe Hartman: You were about
Natalie: it's like barely a suggestion. It's a whisper of s of a suggestion. So we're sitting there and what ha so to not mess up the story, Chloe's flight had been pushed back to it had been delayed and then it got undelayed.
Chloe Hartman: Yes. Yes. Right.
Natalie: And Chloe was not notified about the undulation. And
Chloe Hartman: Yes. Correct. Yeah.
Natalie: and so that is where my hyper hyper awareness of the time did not save us in this situation.
Chloe Hartman: Correct. Yeah.
Natalie: so but so
Chloe Hartman: So there's multiple factors at play.
Natalie: yes, so then we're sitting in the drive thru line. I just paid seventy six cents for waiting to get to the second window window at at McDonald's and Chloe goes, You know, I could just take a flight out tomorrow. I got some points. We can stay at a hotel. I mean, you have to drive all night. Not all night. It was three hours. But and she really started and honestly I was c
Chloe Hartman: There was a split second that you were like, Don't tell me what a good time.
Natalie: Yeah, I was I was close. I was close to being like, okay. but I I said, damn it, I have someone
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. You are brave.
Natalie: here it's I was a big brave dog and someone
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: here had to be responsible and I decided in that
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: moment it had to be me, because Chloe Chloe
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: didn't want to go to work the next day. She was like
Chloe Hartman: And you know what I did? I didn't go to work. No, I I I worked some. A little bit. Yeah.
Natalie: Yeah, she worked from home, guys. So, anyways, yeah, that is the story. That's the tale. But yeah, it was a great it was a great end summer and I will say since I've gotten back from that I've been like okay it's fall. I'm done. Summer is over. Summer is done. It's too damn hot. my gosh. But yeah. Okay, Chloe, will you
Chloe Hartman: Yeah yeah, same. Same. Yep. Yep. It's too hot Yeah No literally Yeah, well
Natalie: just do you wanna give us any before we do our list, do you wanna give us any updates about your life or anything?
Chloe Hartman: You know, I do basically I just need y'all to know that I'm moving again fourth time in two years, so that's fun. I can get into that
Natalie: Sorry.
Chloe Hartman: another time, but that's what my life is right now. That's why I said
Natalie: Yeah, it's kind of
Chloe Hartman: it's kinda chaos over here. and
Natalie: Yes.
Chloe Hartman: you know, moving is like there's s studies that are of like the top stressors in the world and or the not the world. I don't know. There's some something that's it's like moving relationship change job change and then there's something else. Anyway, so yeah, I'm I've done that four times now. So so yeah we're trying to get all of that figured out. It's kind of a long story, but you know, everything's happening how it needs to.
Natalie: It's a long story. I do think it's super important to note, Chloe and Addie did nothing wrong. They, however, have
Chloe Hartman: Right. Yeah.
Natalie: been given a very short amount of time to move.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: And so it's been very chaotic in the Hartman household.
Chloe Hartman: Yes. Yeah. Yeah. But, you know, we are living and laughing and lovin' and sometimes some more than others. But yeah.
Natalie: As you should. As you should.
Chloe Hartman: we Yeah, we're trying I'm trying to be like really type A about this move kind of. I have like we got a system in place and everything, but it's yeah, it is, you know, we've We were trying to make this house at home and it said, nah, we don't want you here. So we do have to
Natalie: And that home said, get out.
Chloe Hartman: pack up a three-bed, two-bath house, and that is that's a lot. So
Natalie: It's a bummer. And without with not a lot of time, not a lot of preparation, not a lot of mental
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah. We're
Natalie: mental preparation also. So
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, so yeah, I think in total we have I mean we have three weeks now. and one of those my sister will be gone. So yeah, we're just trying to get everything figured out there. But yeah, lots of change coming up, so there'll be a new background here soon. so yeah. I'll give you guys a tour, don't worry. No, I won't give you a tour, that's weird.
Natalie: Yeah guys, watch out. Watch out. Amazing. And this is it. And it's on your iPad on the selfie camera with your microphone.
Chloe Hartman: My mic. sorry. god. Yeah, that's really kind of I mean there's probably a lot more updates, but I kind of figured I would tie some of those in with like the list. Yeah. I don't know.
Natalie: That's what I thinking with the list. Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, for mine.
Chloe Hartman: yeah, so
Natalie: Okay. Well, one thing that didn't make it to my list was my ant situation in my car. So
Chloe Hartman: I thought you like your like la ant, like A-U-N-T- I was like, hmm. I don't know if I know about this one.
Natalie: No. You're like, go on. Okay, T No, I I was going somewhere, I had an appointment, What's today Friday? So two days ago, I had an appointment. I opened the front door of my car, and there were ants all over it. It was an infestation of ants. So what I believe happened is that I parked on an ant bed, I think. And
Chloe Hartman: You think it might have been at the Airbnb?
Natalie: No, I believe it was in my yard. So because there isn't there are ant beds in my yard. And so
Chloe Hartman: Gotcha, gotcha.
Natalie: I believe and I parked I parked in a different spot so I could unload everything.
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: In s instead of where I normally park, and then I just left the car there overnight because there was no reason to move it, and I believe that's what happened. And so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: there was just a line of ants crawling up my console, they were all over my seat, they were everywhere, and I said,
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: No, I'm not doing
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: this. So I looked it up. I texted my dad and my mom and I said, What do I do? And my dad said, You Google it
Chloe Hartman: Rune.
Natalie: Helpful answer, but okay. So I Googled it and they said move your car because it it throws off the scent trails, apparently. Ants follow scent trails. And but I said, I'm not moving my freaking car when there's an
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: millions millions is crazy, but you know, tons
Chloe Hartman: Right.
Natalie: of ants, a line that so
Chloe Hartman: You know
Natalie: many ants that it looked like a solid line, and so of ants all over
Chloe Hartman: They were really just trying to frickin' channel you they were like colony flow? What?
Natalie: Yeah, and they're like, we're gonna let this colony flow. Don't worry guys, you'll get that in a minute. So
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: then they they Yeah, it was it I so I looked it up. Obviously I went to to the sacred texts, Reddit, and I I asked Reddit Actually I asked Google to ask Reddit because I think that's how you're supposed to search for things, Reddit. I said, Ants and
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: Car Reddit And so then I Reddit said to get these Terra antbait traps. They cost five dollars at Walmart.
Chloe Hartman: yeah, I've used those.
Natalie: Yeah. And so I used my mom's car, went to Walmart, got those, left in there all day yesterday. And I this morning last night I checked, they all seemed dead. And I was like, swag, sweet, awesome. So I took him out and then today I did something. What did I do? I went back, I got in my car again this morning, and there were still
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: ants in there. Not nearly as many, but enough for me to be bothered, obviously.
Chloe Hartman: Right.
Natalie: So then I ended up washing my car. By washing I mean I went through a car wash. I went through a car wash, I vacuumed my car, vacuumed up all those little suckers, and then I went and got more ant traps and raid antspray. So
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: if all of that doesn't work, I'm gonna let the ants have the car and I'll just buy a new one. So
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: I obviously. Okay, so before we start our list, there's one more thing I think we should do. It's September. Hallelujah. We're doing better. We made
Chloe Hartman: A
Natalie: it to September. And so
Chloe Hartman: Period.
Natalie: I think there is some very important T V coming back on soon and it's T V that I know we as a podcast will talk about. So I just wanna make sure
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: that any lingo we're gonna use, we kind of we kind of front load the the everyone with the vocabulary.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: So did think dancing with the stars.
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: I think it's important for people to know that when we say pro, what we're talking about is a
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: professional dancer. So on Dancing with the Stars, a professional dancer is paired with a celebrity or an online personality.
Chloe Hartman: AK the dancer is dancing with the star. The sl yeah. Mm-hmm.
Natalie: The star. Yeah. It's it's in the name. But really the more important thing that I think we need to make sure everyone knows, 'cause I'm sure we will talk about it, is the DTM
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: list. So Jan Ravnik, who is one of the pros,
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Natalie: was last season was his first season and he on TikTok all the time was talking about his DTM list and who was on
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: it. So DTM stands for dead to me. And so
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Natalie: if we ever mention, if we ever say anything in regards to our personal DTM l list, Jan's DTM list, anything like that, that's what we mean is they're dead to us. So
Chloe Hartman: Yes, yes, yep, love Jan yeah.
Natalie: So mm-hmm. Can you think of any other dancing with the stars? Anything?
Chloe Hartman: No, I mean, if you wanna know like Carrie Ann, Derek,
Natalie: But
Chloe Hartman: and Glenn.
Natalie: Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: That's the those are the judges, right?
Natalie: Yeah, hey also if you ever hear us make the noise Gleb, that's a name of a dancer. If you're like, what onamatopeia is that?
Chloe Hartman: Mm mm. Yeah. Yep, sure is.
Natalie: It's it's a name. So
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, th so like I mean, we'll probably talk about the judges a lot 'cause I mean, last season they were kinda some of their scores were controversial and, you
Natalie: Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: know, just kind of annoying. There's that.
Natalie: I don't like Sister Hough What's her name? Julie Ju Julianne Huff, not a fan.
Chloe Hartman: Julianne Back to you, Alfonso!
Natalie: Yeah, I think she's a terrible hostess and I think they only
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: need one host and Alfonso would do a great job doing it alone. Yes. So it anything else? No. Okay.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, he's doing great. Yes. Yeah, I agree. No, I think Yeah.
Natalie: And then the other one is traitors, traitors parentheses regular people version. Which if you go back a few months on the pod, Chloe actually tried to convince me to apply for regular people traders, and I would have
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. He did.
Natalie: if my passport wasn't expired and if I wasn't
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: scared of getting buried alive. So then those are the two
Chloe Hartman: Yes. Yes. But we did determine that you could probably get a waiver for that. Donald can Donna
Natalie: Yeah, do you
Chloe Hartman: Kelce was able to get past some things. So
Natalie: Chloe Chloe said, if Donna Kelce can be on Traitors you can be on Traders. So
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yeah. and let me tell you guys, I was telling Natalie a story, you know, front to end. She hadn't heard any of it yet. And it was a it was a lengthy one. And she she's good at putting the putting the clues together. And so I was like, yeah, you could be pretty good at that.
Natalie: Yeah, I yeah, Chloe was telling me a story about something that happened in a situation. Sorry that we have to be like that vague about it. It's just not ours to really share on the pod.
Chloe Hartman: Right. Yeah.
Natalie: and so Chloe's telling me this story. She starts way at the beginning and were going and I said, it was blank and I named a person and she was like, How do you always do that? And so I do think that I would be good at I think I would be a good faithful and I
Chloe Hartman: Mm, mhm.
Natalie: I think maybe I could be a good trader. I think I would play it mostly like Rob I I
Chloe Hartman: I think yeah, yeah.
Natalie: think I would have to basically convince myself I wasn't a traitor.
Chloe Hartman: Right.
Natalie: Or I would just be like, I'm a trader and everyone would be like Okay. And then yeah, but
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: I think I think I would be better as a faithful. So yeah, and then
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, one hundred percent. Yeah.
Natalie: but traders, it's the normal people version, which I'm excited about. I don't love the celebrity version, but just a traitor is someone who in the game is picked to betray people, like vote people out and stuff like that. And the faithfuls are the people who are in the house trying to figure out who the traders are. Every night they have a round
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: table discussion where they all sit at a round table. and they all yell at each other and then they vote. And that's how you play traitors. So they do challenges
Chloe Hartman: Mm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Yep. Yeah.
Natalie: and yeah, that's that's kind of
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. I was gonna you know, for the listeners, Natalie and I had discussed some ideas and stuff for this upcoming season. and it's just so f like I'm like, we have a second season now.
Natalie: I know.
Chloe Hartman: the so we're you know, we're gonna keep most of the stuff the same. We also had talked about maybe doing like a quarterly Book club. I know we had talked about movies last time, but you know, maybe in addition we do a book. and you know, you guys can read along if you want. because there's a couple books now that we have collectively both on our list. So there's that, and then
Natalie: Like to throw out okay, Chloe and I did accidentally kind of start the same book called All About Love by Bell Hooks. So
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, have you started it?
Natalie: no, but we both own the same book and
Chloe Hartman: We both bought it.
Natalie: we both bought it and had it in our possession when we were together. So
Chloe Hartman: Yes, yes.
Natalie: following our intuition stones.
Chloe Hartman: Yep,
Natalie: I think that means that's the book club book. I would also like to
Chloe Hartman: yeah.
Natalie: throw out a fiction book because we're also both huge proponents for fiction, so maybe we have like a
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: a nonfiction and a fiction or whatever. The book Grim Tidings
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: by B. K. Borison. B. K. Borison's the one who wrote And Now Back to You and all of that kind of s
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: that. She also does
Chloe Hartman: Holiday ones.
Natalie: last year yeah, last year she did Good Spirits, which I loved.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: So she's doing Grim Tidings. It's coming out this month, but it's once again another Christmas book. So if we wanna
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: if we wanna have a and it'll be smutty 'cause she writes smut. So so we'll talk about your soul and smut on our book.
Chloe Hartman: Yep. Yep. We also maybe hypothetically might dive into a Stephen King novel. TBD. I do kinda wanna
Natalie: yeah, yeah, yeah, I forgot we had discussed that.
Chloe Hartman: I did pick it up at Barnes and Noble when we were there and I like, damn, this is a fat boy. But I Yes, the JFK one, I do kind
Natalie: That is fat. The J F K one, right? That's what we discussed? Yeah. Okay.
Chloe Hartman: of really wanna read that. So there's that
Natalie: Yeah, I'm scaled, but
Chloe Hartman: but I think we can do it together. We'll be brave together.
Natalie: We can be brave together. So together.
Chloe Hartman: Together Together yeah, so those are kind of some of the ideas we're throwing around. We're gonna let us know like if you have any book requests. And also, I thought it would be fun. I had to say I haven't ran it by Natalie, but I thought it would be fun if in the
Natalie: I love when this happens.
Chloe Hartman: next couple weeks, if you guys have an idea for our next best friends weekend destination, drop it in the comments or DM one of us or
Natalie: Absolutely.
Chloe Hartman: text Natalie. You can text me. I will screenshot it and send it to Natalie. I
Natalie: Hm.
Chloe Hartman: w won't respond to you probably.
Natalie: Or text Natalie is literally
Chloe Hartman: But
Natalie: all of my friendships are like me being the timekeeper and me being the per the communicator. It's like,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: hey, it's it's time for you to go. Hey, this person texted and asked. And
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yep.
Natalie: I don't think that necessarily makes me the mom of the group always. I just those are the things, those are the things
Chloe Hartman: No.
Natalie: I'm good at in a situation. It's so so
Chloe Hartman: Yes. Yeah. So yeah, that that was another idea we had. But yeah, we have a lot of w a lot of good things in store, I think. So
Natalie: We got we got we got a lot cooking Chloe, do you want to make a list?
Chloe Hartman: Let's make a fucking list, girl.
Natalie: Let's make a list! Everyone get your notes up! Get it up and running! Get up, up, up.
Chloe Hartman: Get up get up Alright. What was this titled? I forget.
Natalie: Okay, this I just okay Literally guys, I threw out this title to Chloe. We were walking around somewhere and I said, Hey, the list should be summer finds. And she said, Okay, and I said, You could throw tortillas and that tick that vodka you like on there, and she was like, yeah. That was the conversation. So, anyways,
Chloe Hartman: Yep, yep.
Natalie: this is just summer finds, so it kind of wraps up our summer because we're done with summer and we're summer's cut off, but There were some good things that came out of it. We both found some things that we loved, so we wanted to share. Chloe, what's your first summer find?
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm. Well, yeah, I do just have to give a shout out to Western Sun Strawberry Vodka. I had it in a vodka sprite in Texas. I had a couple of them, actually. Sue me. and it is so good, guys. I didn't really put together that Texas has a lot of vodka. but that might also
Natalie: But
Chloe Hartman: be why I am spiritually connected to the state of Texas. yeah,
Natalie: Big vodka place, yeah. We love we love our vodka.
Chloe Hartman: so that brand they got a lot of flavors, but the strawberry one with in a vodka sprite, shout out to our friend Erica for putting us on that. You're a real one. Yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: Yeah. It was good. I mean, I drank it. I said, Give me something. And y'all said,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: What? And I said, I don't care. She said, vodka or tequila, and I said, always vodka. I am not a
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: I am not a tequila girl. I am not Meredith Gray. And I Tig
Chloe Hartman: Tequila girls kinda scare me, I'm not gonna lie.
Natalie: I'm so scared of tequila girls. I am So scared. And so,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: but yeah, no. And so you handed me you were she handed me this, one of y'all handed me this, and I took a sip and I said, what is this? This is good. So yeah. Mm-hmm. It was really good. Okay, so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yeah, it's real good. All right. Not what do you what do you got?
Natalie: my first one is actually not necessarily this summer. And it is kind of a luxury, but it's these headphones, the Bows, Quiet Comfort. The reason it's not necessarily
Chloe Hartman: Mm. Yes.
Natalie: summer is because I know both of us talked about it last season, but these
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: headphones, I have listened to songs, I have heard things that I've never heard before with these. I mean, listening to the reputation album with these headphones on, insane. Go on.
Chloe Hartman: I could be an evangelist for Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones.
Natalie: Yeah, yeah. I they are they're expensive. neither of
Chloe Hartman: yeah.
Natalie: us will lie about that. They are definitely a a big buy, but I
Chloe Hartman: They also do have them on like they have some refurbished options on their website that are
Natalie: Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: just like good as new, but I digress. So good guys. So good. If you're
Natalie: Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: in the market for investing in some new headphones, AirPods out, Bose quiet comfort in.
Natalie: Yeah, we're both just Yeah, we're both over h AirPods. We both and not even we d I don't think we even talked about I mean I convinced you to get both quiet comfort headphones, but we both
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: and then we both are using wired headphones when we need just ear pods and so that's funny that
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: we we both have the same system. we're both over
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: AirPods. AirPods are kind of like Keurigs to me. It's like, well they're gonna break anyways, so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah.
Natalie: Anyways, and so I will say though, my AirPods did last a long time until they quit on me, but I think
Chloe Hartman: So mine lasted like four three year three or four years with before they and even before that they were like kinda crinkly every time I put in. Like, you know, there was some some weird feedback.
Natalie: Yeah. And I and I was yeah, I was telling you I have another friend that I talk to on the phone sometimes and and theirs are also very like we'll spend a
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: lot of time going, wait, can you hear me? No? wait, it's my AirPods, you know, so so So we're both over,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: AirPods are out, but both quiet comfort are in and
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: I'm telling you, if you wanna see sound, if you wanna experience music in a whole new way, there's so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Or
Natalie: Good.
Chloe Hartman: on the flip side, if you want to have your thoughts be quieter than they've ever been before, put those bad bad boys over your ears.
Natalie: telling you yeah these take you just to worlds that you haven't experienced. It just it is what it is. Yeah so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah.
Natalie: Chloe I think has the ice blue is that the color you have and then minor forest green I think
Chloe Hartman: I do, I do. I don't use them for this because it's it's my iPad doesn't work with the Bluetooth, so yeah, I have to use these, but or else I would.
Natalie: Your yeah. Yeah. Chloe, what is your next your next one?
Chloe Hartman: Okay, I'm so glad you asked. My next one is packing cubes. Specifically
Natalie: Ooh.
Chloe Hartman: ones that I I don't know if all of them have this feature, but I was not I mean I wasn't a packing cube hater. I just didn't really see the purpose of them. And then
Natalie: Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: Addy had got me them for my birthday because she knew I had a lot of travels
Natalie: Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: coming up this year. And So I used them for the first time for my trip to Colorado. And I'm like, they're I'm just so obsessed with them. I think that I I just can't believe I haven't used them before because and I don't know if
Natalie: Yeah, they're awesome.
Chloe Hartman: all of them have this feature, but the ones that I have at least, and I know a lot of them do, where you zip it up and then you it has a second zipper to like compress. compress the cube.
Natalie: Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: so like that's yeah, that's one of my that's one of my f favorite things. Finds of the summer. discoveries,
Natalie: I love that.
Chloe Hartman: yeah. I'll put you on those. Yeah.
Natalie: Yeah. I love it just it's nice. You know
Chloe Hartman: Wow.
Natalie: when packing cubes would have popped off? When I went to summer camps as a kid, I was big camp girl, I was at camps all the time
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: and we would pack in gallon bags. We would pi like be like, This
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Yep.
Natalie: is our Tuesday outfit. This is our Wednesday outfit. And so yeah, that would have popped
Chloe Hartman: Mm, mhm.
Natalie: off. Okay. My
Chloe Hartman: Yep.
Natalie: next summer find is an album slash a band and I will contribute this find to Bestie of the Show, Bethany. she put me on the band Tiny Habits their new album, Keepers, just came out a week ago. The song my favorites are Belt Loop and Love Ruins Everything. And Love Ruins Everything is so sad, but it's so fun to dance to. It would definitely be one of those on our on that playlist. We made that one time. So yeah.
Chloe Hartman: yeah yeah. Yep. Yep.
Natalie: but and then Belt Loop is just a really good song.
Chloe Hartman: yes. I I do like a lot of their stuff. yeah.
Natalie: What's your next one?
Chloe Hartman: My next one is my weighted eye mask. it is from the
Natalie: You're fine. yeah.
Chloe Hartman: brand Mello. I have become an eye mask. I'm really trying to like work on the sleep hygiene guys. And
Natalie: Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: so have my weighted eye mask and it's great. I got it off TikTok shop, but they're also not on TikTok shop. So you can like go to their website if you want. But
Natalie: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: yeah, that's one of my my big finds. I love I love it. So yeah. Yeah.
Natalie: My next one is Joyride Candy. So this candy brand is made by the YouTuber Ryan Trahan, which I actually really like Ryan Trahan. My niece and my nephew are very into him, and I spent a lot of time at their house earlier in the summer and we watched a lot of Ryan Trahan. He's family friendly,
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: but not in the sense that you're super annoyed by him as an adult. and he says things that are
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: funny and I normally am not a big proponent of YouTubers just in general, and I just I've never YouTube's never been my steez but you know, it's I know. You bestie
Chloe Hartman: Love I love YouTube.
Natalie: of the show, Laney, like y'all are big y Bethany. Maybe I have a type when it comes to that too. Big YouTubers, but I or YouTube content in in taker I don't know what I'm watch
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm. And if you were to make a Venn diagram of some of these traits, I wonder if a lot of these would overlap.
Natalie: YouTube, don't text back. incredibly time blind. so,
Chloe Hartman: Yep, yep. Yep, yep.
Natalie: Bethany doesn't fit most of those, but she does fit the YouTube one. but so I But you, Laney, and at least one other fit all of those. and so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, yeah. Yep.
Natalie: but I Joyride Candy is Ryan Trahan's candy company and he
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: it's like natural, you know, like I think like smart sweets, you know, that brand where it's like quote unquote better for you or whatever. But it
Chloe Hartman: Right.
Natalie: is just they have a lot of it at HEB, they have some of it at Kroger and they have it at Target. And so me
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: and my niece and nephew would just and my sister would try new ones and then I went and visited some friends in Arkansas and they also like ryan trahan and so we did a all a taste test and I haven't even tried all of them yet but the watermelons he has like sour watermelons. Those have become my
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: favorite candy in general, just overall. And yes, new favorite candy alert.
Chloe Hartman: okay.
Natalie: but also there's strawberry and I would I would put strawberry higher than the watermelon if I could get it anywhere. The only place I've been ever able to find it is at the H E B in the town that my sister lives in. And but we ate it one night and we were like These are so good. But yeah,
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: so I could do a whole ranking if
Chloe Hartman: Okay.
Natalie: y'all need me to one day, but today's not that day. Okay, Chloe, what's your next one?
Chloe Hartman: breakfast sandwiches. I've been I have
Natalie: h hell yeah.
Chloe Hartman: two spots to shout out in the Casey Metro that are newer to me, new since this summer. That would be Deirdonna and West Plaza Bodega. Both of them have some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had in my entire life. And it's inspired me to kind of I I have this idea to have a breakfast sandwich shop someday. That's just a random idea. it's probably not gonna be a reality, but I'm like I yeah. Uh-huh.
Natalie: Okay! New life goal alert! Wow! wow wow wow. We are breaking barriers here. Okay, I love it.
Chloe Hartman: I'm like I'm obsessed. So so yeah, that's that I think and then the H E B butter f tortillas Those are the ones I have so far. I'm sure once I like think down into my brain a little bit more, like more could come up. I have some books I've read. the one I will give you guys my top book of the past couple months since since we've been separated. and that would be Next Time Will Be Our Turn. It's by Jesse Sue Jesse Q Sutanto. and it's been I think my only my second five star read of the year. So no third. No four yeah, no it's
Natalie: What are the other two?
Chloe Hartman: no I've sorry, I've had more than that. But it's been
Natalie: okay.
Chloe Hartman: it was the first one in a bit, so that was that that was good. My other ones Atmosphere, Before I Let Go,
Natalie: yeah.
Chloe Hartman: and Heated Rivalry, Game Changers. Number two.
Natalie: Yeah yeah yeah.
Chloe Hartman: yeah, he arrived where he duh. And then I who have never known men was four point five rounded up. But anyway,
Natalie: Hm yeah.
Chloe Hartman: yeah, sorry, that was irrelevant.
Natalie: well the rest of my list 'cause was that the end of your list? Okay.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah, the book the I will shout out an artist too just to have that on mine and that would be Thames. I it's just T E S R and B artist.
Natalie: Mm-hmm.
Chloe Hartman: I've been really into Love is a Kingdom, that album. so yeah, that's Summer Finds. Yeah.
Natalie: Nice. Okay, so the rest of mine, TV wise, the other Bennett sister on it's on the BBC, but I think you can get all of it on Prime now. I'm not entirely sure. Basically, it's the sister Mary in Pride and Prejudice. It's about
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: her, it's her story. my gosh, I love this show. It's 10 episodes. I've watched it so many times through. I got Granny hooked on it, I got I it's so good. It's got hot men, multiple hot men, it's got two hot men fighting over a nerdy girl. Who could love anything more? And so then, another show, Dinosaur. It's on Hulu. So this show is two seasons so far. It's this autistic woman who's a paleontologist in Glasgow. She,
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: it's just she lives with her sister, her sister gets engaged, her start her life starts to change. It's a sitcom and it's so good.
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: I've also watched it multiple times. Both of those were s recommendations from also Bethany. Bethany shaped a lot of this list actually now that we're talking about it. and then
Chloe Hartman: Love.
Natalie: okay, a few more things. Carly Rae Jepsen, just in general whole music. I've been
Chloe Hartman: Period. Yep.
Natalie: very into Carly Rae lately. It's like a new thing. I'm going through my brother of the podcast, Luke is a big he's always been like, you should listen to more Carly Rae Jepsen. And I've been like, what? But she has a new album coming out in two weeks, September 18th, and the three singles off of it so far, it is a double Double album, so three singles is fine.
Chloe Hartman: Love.
Natalie: if we get another one, I might be like Carly Rae let's calm down. But she Right. But she got me with the first single, which I don't even remember the name of right now. Then she has one called Don't Leave Me on the Dance Floor. But
Chloe Hartman: Mm.
Natalie: then The one that really I cannot get out of my head is On Wires. my gosh. Great single. but yeah, just I Carly Ray Radio and just play it and just go for it. And then
Chloe Hartman: Love.
Natalie: one last thing that i I think it's a joint find. I I found it and gave it to you. and by I found it I mean My friend Jessy found it and convinced me. U Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: yeah.
Natalie: So there's this iPhone game called well, actually I think you can get it on Android too. Called Colony Flow. And we call it Ants. And I've I've convinced so Jessy convinced me and Bestie of the Pod, Abigail, to play it. And we have since evangelized for this game. I've taken this yes, Addie
Chloe Hartman: My sister is addicted. I'm addicted.
Natalie: is addicted, Chloe's addicted, I'm addicted. I was just playing it. I sent Chloe and Addie a s a screenshot of it this morning and I said I love quiet time.
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: And so let me tell you, play this game, Colony Flow. It has ants on it, and you're going to play the first couple of levels and be like, This game's so easy, how do you even lose? And then it gets ya.
Chloe Hartman: Then it gets tricky.
Natalie: And then it gets tricky and then it it
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: It takes you with it. So Colony Flow,
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: it's a it it has ants. It looks like pixels at ants. And then
Chloe Hartman: Yeah.
Natalie: my last find, and I'm the first person who's ever found this ever. The city of Seattle. my gosh.
Chloe Hartman: Beautiful.
Natalie: I am obsessed. I love Seattle. I was actually wearing a Seattle shirt earlier, but I went for a walk, so it got too sweaty and I had to take it off. But My mom told me she I went to visit Bestie of the Pod, Lainey. what's up Laney I know you're listening. And I went to visit Laney and my mom said she didn't think I was ever gonna come back. I love Seattle so much. And I've
Chloe Hartman: Love. I can't wait to go someday.
Natalie: been sad basically since I got back, except for when I was with you. No, except for
Chloe Hartman: I was like rude.
Natalie: when I except for when I was with you. So those are our summer finds. So Chloe, why don't you go ahead and tell us your biggest bullshit before we we let you hop off?
Chloe Hartman: My biggest bullshit is is packing and s trying to
Natalie: Yeah it is.
Chloe Hartman: trying to pack up your entire life. I don't know why I'm talking into this microphone, but I'm doing that.
Natalie: Yeah. You want a little TikTok influencer?
Chloe Hartman: Anyway, yeah, that's my biggest bullshit. What about you, girl?
Natalie: My biggest bullshit is when you go somewhere and people park right next to you. It's the same thing with bathroom stalls when there's plenty of other spaces. This morning when I was trying to vacuum the damn ants out of my car, there were plenty of spaces and a car pulled up and parked right next to me. So then they I felt rushed to be done using the vacuum because I was using the vacuum on my
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm. You you preach it.
Natalie: p passenger side.
Chloe Hartman: Appreciate girl.
Natalie: So it would have been their like driver's side, but they pulled up right next to and I was like, maybe I had my headphones on because I hate the sound of vacuum. So like had my headphones on. I was listening to a podcast and I was like, maybe I just wasn't paying attention and it got really full. I look around, no, there's spots everywhere. Why did you park right next to me? Why did you do that? Now I feel rushed and stressed out
Chloe Hartman: Ridiculous.
Natalie: and like My door's open because I'm vacuuming a car because we're at the car wash to vacuum our cars. That's what we do here. And so
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Natalie: obviously my door is gonna be open and you're gonna pull up and then I'm like, do I need to like close the door or whatever? But like, no, I'm vacuuming the car. It made me so mad. So that's my biggest bullshit. If there's space, take it. Take up
Chloe Hartman: Yeah. You tell
Natalie: space. Take up space.
Chloe Hartman: You tell
Natalie: Anyways, okay everybody.
Chloe Hartman: But don't get into other people's space without their consent, you know?
Natalie: Yeah, like take up the free space. Like, don't be don't be in my don't take up my space. Take up your own space. Somewhere else. Yeah.
Chloe Hartman: Mm-hmm.
Natalie: Okay, well, Chloe, that's it. We're done. Welcome back to season two of okay listen, guys. We missed We missed y'all. I was getting so excited.
Chloe Hartman: Welcome back. Can't wait for season two, everyone. We missed you.
Natalie: All day I was like, I had I was just talking in my head as if I was already recording. So yeah. So
Chloe Hartman: Yep. Yep. Okay, well I'm gonna eat and go pack some. Okay.
Natalie: Okay, leave us a five star review guys.
Chloe Hartman: Five star review, comment down below where we should go for next best friends weekend and yeah.
Natalie: Yeah, nothing nothing less than five stars because that hurts our feelings. But
Chloe Hartman: Yes.
Natalie: yeah, we'll talk to you next week. happy Labor Day, because this is coming out on Labor Day. Happy Labor Day. Love you all. Bye!
Chloe Hartman: Happy Labor Day. Don't do any labor. Okay, bye.
