Speaker 1: FC Cincinnati gained a point this weekend, but you are being reasonable if you kind of got greedy when they were up two goals against Charlotte led a two point slip away nonetheless huge tilt. Tomorrow playoff rematch five to one, three day at the soccer venue in the West End of Cincinnati is Cincinnati hosts Miami. Apple TV has it from Apple TV. Our our our friend, Sasha, question is with us to talk about the match. It's awesome to have you, Sash.
00:00:28
Speaker 2: How are you?
00:00:28
Speaker 1: Yeah?
00:00:29
Speaker 2: What's up? Can you guys hear me loud and clear?
00:00:31
Speaker 1: And that's we You know, we we can send somebody to the dark side of the moon, but making a phone call sometimes kind of difficult. So it's nice. It's nice to hear your voice.
00:00:41
Speaker 2: Nice to hear you guys too. What's going on? Let's talk Cincinnati football.
00:00:44
Speaker 1: The last time FC Cincinnati played Miami, I felt like they spent that game and it was a playoff game standing in awe of MESSI is that going to happen tomorrow?
00:00:53
Speaker 2: I better not happen. Those FC Cincinnati fans better make sure that these players are ready to play. I cannot disagree with you. That was a beatdown in the playoffs that looked like there was one team on the field full of stars and the other team full of stars didn't show up in the playoffs last year. So I think it's on Evander and Denk to step up in this game.
00:01:13
Speaker 1: You know, they've had the sixth match streak without with getting a point in every single one. That's a very clumsy way of putting it. I thought they were going to get three points for a while on Saturday again, Charlotte. I'm not sure their defensive issues. While they have been they've been addressed and they're better in that end, I'm not sure they've been completely rectified. Am I being reasonable if I'm concerned that Miami is going to expose what has been a weakness for this team for most of the season.
00:01:39
Speaker 2: No, I think that's a reasonable thought. Let's listen. The Miami attack, you always know, has the capability of putting up three or four goals in a game. So you've got to be focused for ninety minutes. You've got to limit the spaces that Messy gets the ball, and when he has time and space and picks up the ball in between the lines. You just got to keep your lines really really tight and try to get pressure to the ball. Said than done. Most teams have said that for the last twenty years, and Messi has still found ways to find his moments of magic to put the ball in the back of the net, but control has been an issue. Controlling the game with the ball for FC Cincinnati is an important part of this game.
00:02:15
Speaker 1: It is good that Evander is playing like Evander and Kevin Dank. Kevin Denkey, I think has been pretty consistent for most of the season. Who else in the Orange and Blue has to step up.
00:02:27
Speaker 2: I really like the way that Buca has been playing as a wing back lately. I think if he continues to play well at bodes well for the team, and then Gee has a big job in the middle of midfield. Now just kind of being that guy that has to be an organizer. You always have to stay centrally. You can't stray too far side the side or go chasing. But in the back line as well, whoever ends up playing back there has to be organized. I really like this young kid, Chirilla, but we can't throw too much on his shoulders just yet. So whether it's Matt Mioska and Miles Robbins and Nick Haglan. Those veterans that are back there have to be really local and really good organizers and tuned in for ninety minutes.
00:03:03
Speaker 1: All Right, you have FC Cincinnati currently occupying the third position in the Eastern Conference, I guess, tied for second with New England FC Cincinnati. It's been a slow climb from think for about five minutes they were outside the postseason picture. Now they're sitting there tied with DC United. How do you handicap the Eastern Conference?
00:03:22
Speaker 2: I think that I think Nashville is far and away the best team in the East so far, and they sit at the top of the table. New England has been a surprise and for as bad as Inter Miami has been or you know, I'm saying bad quote unquote bad because they have two losses really in about fifteen or sixteen games in all competitions, but our expectations for Miami are so high. Those are the two teams that are the class in the East, Nashville and Inter Miami. After that, there's just a pack of teams that are chasing. And I can't call it whether it's Cincinnati, Chicago or New England. Who's going to end up being the third seed. But I think those three teams are going to end up battling for the third seed.
00:03:58
Speaker 1: All right, Hey, we're in the conversation, and five or six weeks ago, I wasn't sure that was going to be the case. Tomorrow is is going to be a lot of fun. Sasha, I have a great call man, Thanks so.
00:04:07
Speaker 2: Much, Thank you very much. Looking forward to that one.
