Another HUGE Commitment for South Carolina Football 👀

South Carolina football continues to build serious momentum on the recruiting trail as the South Carolina Gamecocks football landed 2027 offensive lineman Jaxon Elston out of Oxford, Alabama.
In this episode of the Locked On Gamecocks, we break down why this commitment could be much bigger than people realize and how offensive line coach Randy Clements is quietly becoming one of the most important recruiters on Shane Beamer’s staff.
Elston chose South Carolina over Arkansas Razorbacks football and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football while also holding offers from Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, Missouri, and more.
We discuss:
Why South Carolina pushed hard for Jaxon Elston
How his March visit to Columbia changed everything
The impact Randy Clements and Jason Smith had on the recruitment
Why offensive line recruiting is trending upward for the Gamecocks
What stands out about Elston’s size, physicality, and SEC upside
Why South Carolina’s 2027 recruiting class is gaining national momentum
At 6-foot-4.5 and 321 pounds, Elston already has the frame of an SEC interior lineman and could become a major building block for the future of South Carolina football.
The Gamecocks now continue stacking talent in the 2027 class alongside names like John Archer, DJ Huggins, and Jernard Albright as recruiting momentum continues to surge heading into the summer.
