معلومات عن هذه الحلقة
Quantum computing has moved past theory and into engineering, infrastructure, and enterprise strategy. In this episode, Equinix’s Glenn Dekhayser and Petrina Steele sit down with the leaders shaping quantum’s next chapter to examine how the technology is transitioning from lab experiments to scalable, commercial systems, and what that shift really requires.
First, John Martinis, 2025 Nobel Prize winner in Physics and co-founder of Qolab, explains why quantum is an evolution of classical computing, not a replacement. Plus, why the real milestone ahead isn’t speed, but quantum utility: solving problems that create real-world value. Then, Théau Peronnin, CEO of Alice & Bob, and Mark Jackson, Senior Quantum Evangelist at Quantinuum, break down the hard realities of scaling quantum beyond the lab. From manufacturing and supply chains to cost, integration, and hybrid quantum–classical systems, they reveal what it will take to unlock the first wave of enterprise impact. This episode is a clear-eyed look at how quantum is actually being built, and how it’s poised to reshape industries from chemistry and materials science to security, energy, and beyond.
Key points:
- Why quantum computing is now an engineering and infrastructure challenge
- How qubits enable exponential computational power — and why algorithms still matter
- The shift from “quantum supremacy” to practical quantum utility
- Why most enterprises will access quantum through the cloud, not on-prem systems
- How quantum and classical computing will work together in hybrid workflows
- What it really means for organizations to become quantum ready today
