What happens when the person teaching everyone else how to be healthy is running herself into the ground?
Practitioners spend their days helping other people feel better, but the pace of running a practice can quietly normalize exhaustion, constant motion, and the idea that rest has to be earned.
In this episode of the Holistic Growth Podcast, Dr. Tracey Stroup sits down with yoga teacher, author, and retreat leader Véronique Ory of Yoga with Véronique to talk about what happens when drive becomes depleted and how we can pursue meaningful growth without sacrificing our own health along the way.
Véronique shares her journey from theatre and entrepreneurship into yoga, including why she once felt guilty whenever she wasn't moving forward and what happened when exhaustion finally forced her to pay attention.
Together, Tracey and Véronique explore the signals our bodies give us when we have been pushing too hard, why entrepreneurs and practitioners often find slowing down so difficult, and how seemingly simple things like movement, reading, time outside, play, connection, and intentional rest can become essential parts of a sustainable life.
For practitioners, the takeaway is especially important: you don't have to destroy your own health to build a successful health and wellness business.
In this episode:
- Why constant forward motion isn't always the same thing as meaningful progress
