00:01:53.840 --> 00:01:58.879
So today we have a great and lovely guest with us.
00:01:59.120 --> 00:02:00.959
It's Martin Clausen.
00:02:01.040 --> 00:02:02.159
So welcome to the show, Martin.
00:02:02.400 --> 00:02:04.560
Thank you very much, I've been a pleasure to be on.
00:02:05.120 --> 00:02:06.560
Lovely, lovely, great.
00:02:06.799 --> 00:02:20.560
So, Martin, to start with, I mean, uh, because today we'll be talking about avoiding the burnout and how learnershq.com can alleviate the financial stress when starting uh the business.
00:02:20.719 --> 00:02:26.240
So if you can tell us about your journey and what inspired you to co-found the Learners HQ.
00:02:26.560 --> 00:02:27.439
Yeah, I'd love to.
00:02:27.599 --> 00:02:36.479
So I'll keep it relevant to your podcast here and I'll try to set up the stories right so it makes sense for your listeners because we all have very diverse and strenuous lives.
00:02:36.719 --> 00:02:48.240
But for the thing for me that I feel like your audience would appreciate is that I'm from Denmark, and Denmark has many times over been rated as one of the happiest countries in the world.
00:02:48.639 --> 00:02:56.879
And the reality was that I wasn't the happiest guy, even though I was living in one of the happiest countries in the world statistically.
00:02:57.199 --> 00:03:09.520
So I found myself when I was around the mid-20s and late 20s, uh, being in a very frustrated state of mind where the jobs and things that I wanted to work with just weren't present in Denmark.
00:03:09.599 --> 00:03:17.199
And I felt like my future was kind of stagnating, and I needed to do something very drastic in order to improve my mental health.
00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:26.080
And it got to a degree where when you live in a country like Denmark, where you have so many privileges around you, you almost feel guilty for not feeling happy, right?
00:03:26.159 --> 00:03:29.680
And you have news segments telling you how happy the country is and so forth.
00:03:29.919 --> 00:03:37.039
But I actually found myself having to make a drastic decision of leaving my country to go to Ireland, where I'm now based out of.
00:03:37.120 --> 00:03:39.520
And I've lived in Ireland for the last 10 years.
00:03:39.759 --> 00:03:49.120
And I did that because there were different opportunities for myself here to work for companies and grow a career that I just didn't find uh feasible in Denmark.
00:03:49.360 --> 00:03:59.439
So I'm I'm a big proponent of people making changes in their lives uh that they feel like they need to in order to improve how their mental well-being is.
00:03:59.599 --> 00:04:19.920
And regardless of what society tells you or what statistical abnormalities you're living under, I'm a big fan of do what's best for you, and then you'll have a positive impact on everything around you as much as possible, friends and families and whatnot, every relationship will be improved upon once you start start making some big changes.
00:04:20.399 --> 00:04:21.519
Exactly, exactly.
00:04:21.759 --> 00:04:22.399
Yeah.
00:04:23.199 --> 00:04:27.279
So um, yeah, so go on.
00:04:27.519 --> 00:04:28.800
Yeah, you're saying something, yeah.
00:04:29.040 --> 00:04:32.160
Yeah, so uh to go on to to your question here with learners.
00:04:32.240 --> 00:04:32.560
Oh, okay.
00:04:32.800 --> 00:04:39.839
What happened was that uh after I left Ireland or left Denmark rather, I had a lot of opportunities and I made some rules for myself.
00:04:40.000 --> 00:04:44.879
I started saying to myself that I would say yes to any opportunity that somebody would ask me for.
00:04:44.959 --> 00:04:47.920
So if they said, like, hey Martin, do you want to go on a podcast?
00:04:48.079 --> 00:04:50.560
And I'd never done it before, I would say yes.
00:04:50.720 --> 00:05:07.600
And I basically put myself in a mind frame of just taking opportunities when they landed on my doorstep and then see what would happen in my life instead of being, you know, a little bit apprehensive and afraid of what might happen if you actually start taking some chances and doing some things that wasn't the usual norm for you.
00:05:07.759 --> 00:05:12.639
And that meant that I was very lucky in becoming uh a manager in the job that I was working for.
00:05:12.800 --> 00:05:14.000
I worked for some big brands.
00:05:14.079 --> 00:05:18.319
I've had the opportunity for to work for Electronic Arts, which is a video game company.
00:05:18.480 --> 00:05:22.560
I've worked for LinkedIn as a consultant, where a lot of people, of course, know LinkedIn.
00:05:22.720 --> 00:05:29.040
I've also worked for Shopify Plus, which is a platform where you can uh make sales online.
00:05:29.199 --> 00:05:41.040
And I was on the enterprise division where I would be rubbing shoulders with some very successful people that have made a life for themselves working online and not working the traditional nine to five route.
00:05:41.199 --> 00:05:49.360
And through those experiences, um I had the opportunity to uh to start working for myself online and I felt very motivated of doing so.
00:05:49.519 --> 00:06:19.279
But one of the things that I would encounter early on was that when you are learning from a ground zero, like you don't know much and you need to start with something as building your own business, even though the barrier of entry is extremely low, I think, then it is tough to figure out how to actually start making everything that is with like online marketing, uh, which meant that you have to spend a lot of money or you have to spend a lot of time trying to figure this out.
00:06:19.360 --> 00:06:21.279
And that's not a position that everybody's in.
00:06:21.439 --> 00:06:27.120
And you often would go online and you would see very successful people, and you would feel like, what am I doing wrong?
00:06:27.279 --> 00:06:28.800
And it might demotivate you.
00:06:28.959 --> 00:06:40.480
So that whole experience for years after trying, I found out that most of these companies that are available online for you are not the best at like helping out people that are just getting started.
00:06:40.560 --> 00:06:42.959
And that became the foundation for learner's HQ.
00:06:43.279 --> 00:06:53.040
So we've basically built a tool that is to help anyone that are either getting started, have begun already, and have moderate to a little success.
00:06:53.279 --> 00:06:57.680
And also, if you are very successful, you can learn uh you can use learners HQ.
00:06:57.759 --> 00:07:04.319
But we give people all the features that they need to get started selling online, and we give them without any upfront cost.
00:07:04.560 --> 00:07:11.439
So that's a very like quick summary about how I myself started my journey and uh and started learners HQ.
00:07:11.519 --> 00:07:14.399
And that's just you know, touching the surface of it.
00:07:14.560 --> 00:07:18.480
But like, yeah, if you have any questions to that, then then please do ask.
00:07:19.120 --> 00:07:20.079
That's really lovely.
00:07:20.160 --> 00:07:21.680
Yeah, I would say that's really lovely.
00:07:21.839 --> 00:07:35.040
And um also like uh on this, I mean, um the the the thing is coming to my mind, like while doing so, what were some of the biggest challenges that you faced when uh trying your own business?
00:07:35.199 --> 00:07:37.199
I mean starting to try your own business.
00:07:37.439 --> 00:07:41.120
Yeah, so depending on what your business is, right?
00:07:41.279 --> 00:07:47.279
There's so many things, and that's what I've learned as well with some of the merchants I would work with on Shopify Plus to give people some context.
00:07:47.439 --> 00:07:50.240
I would work with people that would sell like clothing, right?
00:07:50.319 --> 00:07:54.959
So your normal like brand on online with somebody selling clothing, but then you can, of course, niche down.
00:07:55.120 --> 00:08:01.040
And the ones that I work with, they would sell clothing for women that were uh big lady sizes.
00:08:01.279 --> 00:08:07.680
So they have a very different uh way that they have to make their business work compared to somebody who's selling like somewhere in bikini.
00:08:07.759 --> 00:08:22.800
And at the same time, I work with companies that were selling uh online uh psychiatry sessions, and there's basically so many different ways that you can start and build a business, and it's all different on how you need to start it out and how you need to approach your customers.
00:08:22.959 --> 00:08:54.639
And the problem then becomes that if you can't find a mentor, or if you can't find someone online on YouTube or on Spotify with a podcast that specifically are teaching you how to start that specific type of business, you fall into the trap that you will find some big guru on YouTube and they will just say to you on a very uh high-level overview of like, just start up a business and start posting on Instagram or on Facebook or or make a YouTube video and then just figure it out as you go.
00:08:54.799 --> 00:09:10.720
And there's nothing wrong with that advice per se, but it's going to cause a lot of frustration for anyone that starts out because they will learn over time that it's not as easy as it sounds unless you are teaching other people how to sell, like how to start a business online.
00:09:10.960 --> 00:09:22.399
If you want to learn how to actually sell clothing to women that are of a certain size, it's very, very different what you need to learn and how you need to approach it than if you were trying to sell the psychiatry session that I mentioned, right?
00:09:22.559 --> 00:09:31.279
So some of the early frustrations was definitely trying to find the resources and the right people to teach me how to do what I wanted to do.
00:09:31.440 --> 00:09:42.960
And then what happened was that I would spend a lot of money on different tools that turned out after six months of paying a subscription or something, that it was a waste of my time, my energy, and my money.
00:09:43.120 --> 00:09:49.600
And if I couldn't find someone that was doing what I wanted to do, it became very, very frustrating to deal with.
00:09:49.759 --> 00:09:58.240
And that was kind of like again, why we didn't start at Learners HQ was that we know there are so many talented people out there that have great ambitions and great dreams.
00:09:58.480 --> 00:10:04.080
But if they can't get off on the right foot, they can get very frustrated with a lot of things, right?
00:10:04.159 --> 00:10:07.759
This would impact maybe the nine to five, this can impact their family.
00:10:08.080 --> 00:10:15.360
And I've seen it for myself that I have I've been very lucky of having supportive family and partners in my life, but it's not the same for everyone.
00:10:15.440 --> 00:10:25.679
And some people come from not the best of surroundings and they are willing to throw everything at a dream, and then it can hurt them even more uh if they fail.
00:10:25.919 --> 00:10:33.360
And yeah, one of the big learnings I have, uh, is that people have to understand you only fail when you stop trying.
00:10:33.440 --> 00:10:40.000
But it can be a case that if you don't have any money or time left to keep going on, then I understand that what can you do, right?
00:10:40.159 --> 00:10:51.600
And that's kind of why we've built learners HQ the way that we have is to give those people a chance to keep testing out and trying what works for them without the stress at least of a financial disparity.
00:10:51.759 --> 00:11:01.519
And then the only thing they will have to invest in is time and to be an eternal learner, like keep learning, keep building relationships like for yourself.
00:11:01.679 --> 00:11:03.039
I I can ask you this question.
00:11:03.120 --> 00:11:08.799
I'm sure, like, do you not engage with a lot of other podcast hosts to learn like what to do and how to do better at it?
00:11:08.879 --> 00:11:12.799
Or do you just run a solo show and never engage with other podcasters?
00:11:13.120 --> 00:11:13.919
Yeah, definitely.
00:11:14.000 --> 00:11:14.639
I do connect.
00:11:14.720 --> 00:11:15.440
I do connect.
00:11:15.519 --> 00:11:28.399
I uh so this podcast is all about uh creating the awareness, but also this is uh uh why I love because I love to connect with people, love to know more about what's actually happening, what's going on.
00:11:28.559 --> 00:11:31.279
So that is definitely uh one aspect for sure.
00:11:31.600 --> 00:11:32.000
That's it.
00:11:32.080 --> 00:11:39.840
And and you probably benefited way more in your podcast life from engaging with other podcasts and hearing how they made mistakes or how they were doing it, right?
00:11:40.080 --> 00:11:42.240
Rather than what I could teach you about podcasting.
00:11:42.320 --> 00:11:49.840
So it's very much a learning for people to be focused on how they are approaching whatever project that they have at hand.
00:11:50.000 --> 00:11:54.799
And I see a lot of people to ask your question again in a long-winded way of like, what are the challenges?
00:11:54.960 --> 00:12:03.840
The challenges are that people look for somebody that has a high follower count or a high subscriber or whatever it is, and they think that that's all it takes.
00:12:03.919 --> 00:12:10.399
But in reality, you need to engage with other people that are like you and do a business or project like you're doing.
00:12:10.480 --> 00:12:19.279
And then you'll find many different ways that that making business or healthy uh projects doesn't always relate to a high number of followers.
00:12:19.360 --> 00:12:27.279
Like I've learned a lot of people have big businesses, have changed their lives, have started great projects without a massive following.
00:12:27.440 --> 00:12:32.080
But those people are hard to find early on uh because the way the everything is set up, right?
00:12:32.240 --> 00:12:44.720
You go online and YouTube, and these algorithms will show you the ones that have a massive following, but that's not actually where the most important people and networks and relationships can be found, especially early on.
00:12:46.320 --> 00:12:47.200
That's lovely.
00:12:47.440 --> 00:12:47.919
Great.
00:12:48.799 --> 00:12:49.279
Great.
00:12:49.360 --> 00:13:03.120
And uh okay, so um one thing is um how does learners HQ help the creators avoid that financial stress um typically associated with their starting a business?
00:13:03.519 --> 00:13:05.519
Yeah, so it's free to use, right?
00:13:05.600 --> 00:13:08.799
That that's that's my most blanket answer that I can give you.
00:13:08.960 --> 00:13:12.639
Everything that we offer on learners HQ is free for you to use today.
00:13:12.720 --> 00:13:14.480
So you sign up and create a user.
00:13:14.720 --> 00:13:18.240
Every feature we have there is free for anyone to use from day one.
00:13:18.320 --> 00:13:21.360
There's no premium features, there's no pay to get started.
00:13:21.519 --> 00:13:36.399
We have a profit-sharing model, which means that we take 10% of any profit you make, whether you made whether that profit is made tomorrow or six months from now or a year from now, when you start winning and succeeding is the only time that we will start succeeding with you.
00:13:36.559 --> 00:13:46.000
So we are investing in the uses upfront with spending all the money on building a tool, taking all of the risks as far as like signing up with Stripe and all of these payment gateways.
00:13:46.080 --> 00:14:05.200
And we want to take away as many of these frustrating, little annoying things that often are involved with starting to sell a service online so people can just focus on how to promote what it is they're doing, building a community, and building trust so they can start adding value to whoever it is they want to service.
00:14:05.360 --> 00:14:13.919
And even though I'm saying business now and money, you can, if you want on Learners HQ, also just create a profile and sell all of your stuff for free.
00:14:14.080 --> 00:14:17.440
If you wanted to, you can just put it all for free and then do it that way.
00:14:17.600 --> 00:14:23.120
And then we give guys the or anybody that uses it the freedom to link to their own business.
00:14:23.279 --> 00:14:33.519
So if you, for example, on the podcast wanted to make a listing or a course on how to start a podcast for a healthy mind and you wanted to put that up for free.
00:14:33.600 --> 00:14:44.159
And when somebody clicks on free, you could have a video, Abic, where you say, like, welcome to my course or my teaching or my one-to-one, and then you can link them to your own website if you wanted to do that.
00:14:44.320 --> 00:14:50.480
So we're trying to give people just a destination where they can get started with it, literally within an hour.
00:14:50.559 --> 00:14:58.960
They can get started, have a profile in there, and they can start generating some form of building a community or income depending on what they're trying to do.
00:14:59.039 --> 00:15:03.360
So that's how we take away the stresses is like it is free to use, everything on there is free.
00:15:03.440 --> 00:15:05.759
And we're adding more features as we go along.
00:15:06.000 --> 00:15:09.440
Um, but it's yeah, that that's my simple answer to that.
00:15:09.759 --> 00:15:10.559
Lovely, lovely.
00:15:10.639 --> 00:15:11.679
That's really great.
00:15:11.840 --> 00:15:19.039
And also, like uh for the success stories, definitely uh what feedback have you received from the users about the learners HQ?
00:15:19.360 --> 00:15:23.200
How impacted uh the business journey, their business journey?
00:15:23.759 --> 00:15:26.799
Yeah, so it's been very varied depending on who we're talking to.
00:15:26.879 --> 00:15:31.360
So we create on our Facebook group that we've recently started, we've created these use cases, me and my co-founder.
00:15:31.600 --> 00:15:38.000
And what we do is we take a challenge on, let's say, some of the ones we've had already is we wanted somebody who's doing crochet patterns.
00:15:38.080 --> 00:15:39.039
Do you know what that is?
00:15:39.360 --> 00:15:40.399
Crocheting.
00:15:41.200 --> 00:15:42.320
Not exactly.
00:15:42.799 --> 00:15:43.840
It's like knitting, right?
00:15:43.919 --> 00:15:45.200
It's that it's like knitting.
00:15:45.360 --> 00:15:49.200
So you can like make little teddy bears, you can make like pillows and all of these things.
00:15:49.279 --> 00:15:51.120
It's something that mostly ladies do.
00:15:51.200 --> 00:15:57.039
I'm not gonna offend anyone by saying that, but it's like knitting, something your grandma or usually elderly people would do.
00:15:57.200 --> 00:16:05.360
And we have somebody ask us if we could come up with like 10 ideas on how to monetize and make a business out of it if we were crocheting.
00:16:05.600 --> 00:16:14.799
So we are building out these use cases to show people the many ways that they can actually do more than just putting their product on Amazon or on Etsy and selling their stuff.
00:16:14.960 --> 00:16:26.320
So some of the use cases successes we've had already is getting people to think outside of the box with getting started and doing something that's not the usual way of doing it, that they see everybody else is doing it.
00:16:26.480 --> 00:16:35.679
Uh, we've had a lot of people that have already switched over from competitors, so like your Gumroad, uh, Kajabi, and things where they have to spend a lot of money every month.
00:16:35.759 --> 00:16:37.840
And if they don't make a sale, they're in trouble.
00:16:38.000 --> 00:16:42.799
So they get the freedom to test out things on our platform uh without any stresses.
00:16:42.879 --> 00:16:45.360
And we've done everything on limited as well.
00:16:45.600 --> 00:16:57.519
So you create one profile with one email, and then if you for yourself, I know you probably have different podcasts and different things that you're interested in, then you can create different profiles, follow them, and you can do all of that for free as well.
00:16:57.600 --> 00:17:08.799
Uh so you can have one for the Healthy Mind podcast, you can have one for whatever your other subject matters are, and you can create them without they are touching each other and without spending more money on trying out different things.
00:17:09.039 --> 00:17:14.400
So the success stories depend on how people are utilizing it and what they also deem success, right?
00:17:14.559 --> 00:17:21.119
We've had some people that have started making a lot of sales, but we also have some people that have just created free products to start building a community.
00:17:21.440 --> 00:17:36.720
So depending on how people view success, we give them the opportunity to test out things and make it work for them without worrying about failing, or if I only make one profile and it doesn't see any success, uh, will it now be hard for me to keep doing it?
00:17:36.799 --> 00:17:39.119
It was like, no, you can just create a new one.
00:17:39.200 --> 00:17:42.720
Uh so it's complete freedom to do whatever you want with the platform.
00:17:42.880 --> 00:17:46.240
You you think of it as like your marketplaces, right?
00:17:46.400 --> 00:17:58.160
You have an Etsy marketplace, an Amazon marketplace, you have all of these different marketplaces, and you can put up as many different listings as you want without paying for it and find out what works for you.
00:17:58.480 --> 00:17:59.119
Yeah.
00:18:00.480 --> 00:18:01.039
Right.
00:18:02.240 --> 00:18:02.640
Great.
00:18:02.880 --> 00:18:15.440
And uh also, uh, like um uh regarding the resilience and adaptability, what advice you give to someone who is feeling stuck or maybe overwhelmed in their business journey?
00:18:15.759 --> 00:18:18.000
Oh, that's a that's a big question, right?
00:18:18.160 --> 00:18:30.799
Uh I will say this depending on the things that are happening in your personal life, then be aware that everybody is falling into some form of trap of things aren't going the way that I want them to currently.
00:18:31.039 --> 00:18:37.839
But if you keep taking just incremental small steps every day, then I'm a big fan of the compound effect, right?
00:18:38.160 --> 00:18:45.440
Keep taking some form of action every day and be ready sometimes to take a few steps back with experimenting something new.
00:18:45.519 --> 00:18:48.079
If things aren't working out for you, then try something new.
00:18:48.559 --> 00:18:56.000
And even if on the day it feels like you take a few steps back or you didn't get the immediate reaction you wanted, then be ready to see success happening.
00:18:56.079 --> 00:19:03.039
And those few steps back will turn into many steps forward later on, just from the fact that you kept trying and learning something.
00:19:03.200 --> 00:19:13.279
But I know it's easier said than done, but most of my successes in life personally and the people that I engage with and have around me, um, they keep making an effort every day.
00:19:13.359 --> 00:19:23.759
And it doesn't matter if you just let's say you're a writer and you write books, just write one line every day and keep being ready to think like, okay, yeah, today I wrote one line, it was a horrible line.
00:19:24.799 --> 00:19:26.160
Let's try it.
00:19:26.240 --> 00:19:26.640
Yeah.
00:19:27.359 --> 00:19:37.759
Also, um like how do you define the success and uh how can the entrepreneurs align their goals with their uh personal?
00:19:38.319 --> 00:19:38.720
Yeah.
00:19:40.480 --> 00:19:41.920
How do I define success?
00:19:42.079 --> 00:19:52.319
Like I define success as feeling better today than I did yesterday, uh, but also being aware of like happiness comes and goes, right?
00:19:52.400 --> 00:19:57.599
Like as long as you're not in a sad state of mind and you're feeling like things around you are good.
00:19:57.759 --> 00:20:09.279
So, Denmark, the way that I said when we started talking here about Denmark being voted one of the happiest countries in the world, the way that it actually works in reality is that we are content.
00:20:09.680 --> 00:20:12.559
We are never extremely happy or extremely sad.
00:20:12.640 --> 00:20:15.599
And we don't walk around clapping our hands every day and laughing, right?
00:20:15.680 --> 00:20:18.799
But you are content with the way that life currently is.
00:20:19.039 --> 00:20:26.240
So if you can find success and feeling comfortable on a daily basis and be ready that maybe tomorrow you're gonna have a great party and it's gonna be the best day ever.
00:20:26.319 --> 00:20:30.640
And maybe the day after that, you're gonna feel a little bit down that that day isn't as good as it was yesterday.
00:20:30.799 --> 00:20:35.279
But just make sure that you find a happy in-between place to live in and exist in.
00:20:35.440 --> 00:20:38.400
And then to me personally, I find success that way.
00:20:38.720 --> 00:20:43.359
Can we start talking about money gains and saying if I earn a million dollars, then I'll be happy?
00:20:43.440 --> 00:20:46.160
Uh no, because I know that those things are fleeting.
00:20:46.240 --> 00:20:50.240
So for me, success is to not walk around and feel like you're wasting your own life.
00:20:50.319 --> 00:20:53.680
Then, as far as I'm concerned, you're doing a great thing.
00:20:53.839 --> 00:21:04.000
As far as you're making some form of positive impact on yourself or your surroundings, or at least are trying to, then I will classify you as succeeding.
00:21:04.720 --> 00:21:05.200
Got it.
00:21:05.440 --> 00:21:06.480
Understood.
00:21:07.119 --> 00:21:07.680
Agreed.
00:21:07.759 --> 00:21:08.640
That's really lovely.
00:21:08.799 --> 00:21:14.559
And um, what is the most rewarding part of your work like uh with the uh learners HQ?
00:21:15.440 --> 00:21:17.279
It's talking to guys like you, man.
00:21:17.440 --> 00:21:28.960
It's uh it's the ability to actually network with so many cool people and show them that we have this thing available for them that is taking all risks away from them, right?
00:21:29.039 --> 00:21:42.079
So I've worked for very big businesses, as I said, and some of the hard things often to deal with is that people will pay a certain amount of money or time or energy, and they will feel that you need to live up to some sort of certain standard that they have in their mind.
00:21:42.240 --> 00:21:57.200
When we came up with the idea for learners to give back to people like ourselves, it's been the most fulfilling thing that I've ever done as far as having guys like you say yes to talking to me and knowing that I'm not coming on here to say, like Eric is gonna go.
00:21:57.279 --> 00:21:59.759
Like, I actually have the opportunity now to uh engage and empower.
00:22:00.400 --> 00:22:02.240
So many people around me, and I've already done that.
00:22:02.319 --> 00:22:05.839
And it feels so good when they come back and say, like, Martin, you weren't you weren't lying.
00:22:05.920 --> 00:22:07.200
You're actually doing all of this for free.
00:22:07.279 --> 00:22:10.160
And uh the profit sharing is that when I win, you win.
00:22:10.400 --> 00:22:21.359
And it's been really great to see people knowing that we are trying to shake up the status quo on a lot of these businesses because the reality is like you are aware of Etsy, correct?
00:22:21.599 --> 00:22:22.160
Exactly.
00:22:22.319 --> 00:22:22.640
Exactly.
00:22:23.039 --> 00:22:29.200
So on Etsy, right, for you, Evic, even to put something on Etsy, they're gonna demand money from you.
00:22:29.359 --> 00:22:32.000
And it doesn't guarantee anything for you to get started.
00:22:32.079 --> 00:22:36.960
You can put on 10 things today and they would earn money from you, but Etsy doesn't care about your success.
00:22:37.119 --> 00:22:39.200
They will get paid either way.
00:22:39.839 --> 00:22:47.039
So we are trying to really put a dent into that whole way that the market is working for creators and people that are selling stuff.
00:22:47.119 --> 00:22:50.880
That like we have a platform that is just a framework.
00:22:51.039 --> 00:22:56.480
Without the users, without the creators, without the sellers, we have absolutely no product.
00:22:56.559 --> 00:22:58.960
And we are aware of that, and we don't want to change that.
00:22:59.119 --> 00:23:02.960
I want people like yourself to create a profile, promote yourself.
00:23:03.039 --> 00:23:07.279
It's not going to be learnershq.com slash epic or healthy mind podcast.
00:23:07.359 --> 00:23:12.240
It's going to be healthy mindpodcast.com and then it's hosted via our site.
00:23:12.480 --> 00:23:18.000
So my mission is to make sure that people understand that we are trying to build you guys as the individuals.
00:23:18.240 --> 00:23:21.680
I cannot be from India and create the Healthy Mind Podcast.
00:23:21.759 --> 00:23:23.200
That is entirely your thing.
00:23:23.359 --> 00:23:24.319
I can only host it.
00:23:24.400 --> 00:23:31.839
And if you choose to go away from my site, I have to accept the fact that you left my site and I could have done something different, but that still doesn't change my reality.
00:23:31.920 --> 00:23:34.240
It's like you were the 100% the creator.
00:23:34.400 --> 00:23:36.480
Without you, there is no learner's ASQ.
00:23:36.640 --> 00:23:38.079
Without you guys, we can't build anything.
00:23:38.160 --> 00:23:43.519
And that's something I'm trying to stress to people is we've built something that you guys should take advantage of.
00:23:43.599 --> 00:23:45.440
And this is the relationship.
00:23:45.599 --> 00:23:52.720
We have only created the framework for you guys to use, but we realize that without the creators, we don't have any product.
00:23:52.799 --> 00:23:53.759
So like YouTube, right?
00:23:53.839 --> 00:23:58.160
Is that if everybody left YouTube tomorrow and stopped making videos on that, they don't have a product anymore.
00:23:58.240 --> 00:24:05.440
Even though they are the ones that earn the most from the creators that are on there, it's an unfair relationship at the end of the day.
00:24:05.519 --> 00:24:11.039
And we're trying to uh to kind of put a into that way of people thinking.
00:24:11.200 --> 00:24:24.640
So we have a lot of people that are like unsure of if they can really trust us, and that's just a matter of time to keep showing up and tell them like, no, no, this is the way that we're trying to do it, and we're not trying to quote quote unquote take advantage of you.
00:24:25.119 --> 00:24:26.480
Exactly, very true.
00:24:26.559 --> 00:24:27.599
Yeah, definitely.
00:24:28.160 --> 00:24:29.519
That's it, yeah, yeah, exactly.
00:24:29.599 --> 00:24:34.240
Like it's a vehicle, and you guys are like we have the vehicle, but you guys are the drivers, exactly.
00:24:34.319 --> 00:24:36.000
Uh yeah, I love that.
00:24:36.880 --> 00:24:38.720
Very true, very true, definitely.
00:24:38.960 --> 00:24:40.799
And I totally, totally agree.
00:24:40.880 --> 00:24:45.519
Like, uh, this should be the way of uh promoting oneself.
00:24:45.680 --> 00:24:59.200
Um yes, uh uh the things which you mentioned about Etsy and other platforms, it's very, very true because anyway they are going to make money, and um like we we are also in that rant race only.
00:24:59.359 --> 00:25:01.119
So um that that's really great.
00:25:01.200 --> 00:25:02.000
Thanks for sharing that.
00:25:02.160 --> 00:25:02.319
Yeah.
00:25:02.880 --> 00:25:05.599
It's uh I appreciate you even mentioning and understanding it, right?
00:25:05.680 --> 00:25:09.680
Like it's uh everybody's trying to make a life better for themselves, right?
00:25:09.839 --> 00:25:13.039
Whether that's financially, whether that's healthy, whether that's mentally.
00:25:13.119 --> 00:25:16.400
Like we're all just trying, we're in this boat together and we want to go forward.
00:25:16.559 --> 00:25:25.759
So so we experienced for years selling online, working for companies, and I saw that it was not a quick pro-pro relationship.
00:25:25.839 --> 00:25:29.680
It was not 50-50, it was always like 60-40 or 70-30.
00:25:30.240 --> 00:25:33.279
And we've now changed that that way of landscape.
00:25:33.599 --> 00:25:37.519
Like, so we take 10%, but we don't actually take 10% epic.
00:25:37.680 --> 00:25:46.640
So we have put a cap on our percentage, meaning that if 10% exceeds the amount of what$8 is, we stop it there.
00:25:46.799 --> 00:25:57.680
So to put it bluntly, if you start selling on learners HQ today and you are somebody that are able to sell a product for let's say$10,000, out of that$10,000, we don't take$10.
00:26:00.799 --> 00:26:01.119
Okay.
00:26:03.359 --> 00:26:03.839
You there?
00:26:04.319 --> 00:26:04.640
Hello.
00:26:06.000 --> 00:26:06.160
10%.
00:26:06.640 --> 00:26:08.319
We take I'm still here?
00:26:08.480 --> 00:26:08.880
I'm still here?
00:26:09.039 --> 00:26:09.519
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:26:09.599 --> 00:26:10.000
I understand.
00:26:10.240 --> 00:26:10.799
Okay, go ahead.
00:26:11.200 --> 00:26:12.480
Okay, no, you're fine.
00:26:12.720 --> 00:26:14.400
So what was the last thing you heard?
00:26:14.720 --> 00:26:16.480
Yeah, it's 10% you just mentioned.
00:26:16.559 --> 00:26:16.720
Yeah.
00:26:17.200 --> 00:26:21.279
Okay, so it's a 10%, but it's not really 10% because we kept it out at$8.
00:26:22.079 --> 00:26:35.920
So if you today start on learners HQ and you are able to make a sale for to give you an example, if you can make a sale for$1 million on our platform today, we don't take 10% of that million dollars, we don't take$100,000.
00:26:36.000 --> 00:26:38.400
What we actually only take is eight dollars.
00:26:38.720 --> 00:26:44.240
So if 10% is ever more than what eight dollars means as a total, we stop it at eight.
00:26:44.319 --> 00:26:52.400
So you sell a product for a million dollars on learner's HQ, you take home uh or we take eight dollars and you take the rest of it.
00:26:52.720 --> 00:26:53.359
Perfect.
00:26:53.440 --> 00:26:55.279
That's that's a really perfect dance.
00:26:55.519 --> 00:26:55.759
Yeah.
00:26:56.400 --> 00:26:56.559
Yeah.
00:26:56.640 --> 00:27:03.920
So we're really trying to stand by and show people like I mean what I say when I say that you guys are the winners on learners HQ.
00:27:04.000 --> 00:27:09.920
Like we we take such a small cut of the percentages that we want to make sure that people understand.
00:27:10.079 --> 00:27:13.680
I mean what I say when we're trying to show that we are on your team.
00:27:13.839 --> 00:27:18.000
If you succeed, we succeed, but you win way more than we win.
00:27:18.160 --> 00:27:19.599
Our game is volume, right?
00:27:19.680 --> 00:27:24.160
We want as many people as possible to use the platform because then it's feasible for us.
00:27:24.319 --> 00:27:31.680
But the reality is if somebody is massively successful on our platform, we don't win more from that one person than we do from someone else.
00:27:31.839 --> 00:27:37.359
Like we only take 10%, but if 10% means more than$8, we stop it there.
00:27:38.640 --> 00:27:39.200
Yeah.
00:27:39.519 --> 00:27:41.119
Great, lovely, lovely.
00:27:41.680 --> 00:27:42.079
Great.
00:27:42.160 --> 00:27:44.079
So uh thank you so much.
