In this episode, Tom Becchetti (@tbecchetti and @mspcmg) joins me for a Friday afternoon conversation recorded live at Meisters Bar and Grill in Scandia Minnesota. Tom has been involved with IT, data center and data infrastructures spanning various servers, operating systems, storage, networks, hardware, software for many decades as a customer and vendor. In addition to performance, capacity planning (hence the Computer Measurement Group aka CMG connection), he is also involved in data protection (archiving, backup, BC/BR/DR) and related themes spanning legacy mainframe to open systems, cloud, virtual along with containers. Our conversation spans backup, big data, big data protection, CMG and more as we wrap up a week on a Friday afternoon to talk some tech.
