The Badlands. Running the Badlands. Explain those Badlands. That's a hell of a name.
00:20
We're seeing the spell wear off, the hypnosis wear off. It's just a creation that exists in the minds of people who are still addicted to the central narrat. All right. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Badlands Daily. A little bit of a change up in the program. I am your host today, Gordon McCormick, Ghost of Bass, Patrick Henry. And yeah, I will be running the show today solo, actually. Yeah, we had a great time at Gart. You might be able to hear my voice a little bit. Is flying back from Vegas today and Paul is having some electricity issues at his house, so I will be taking the reins. How's everyone in the chat doing? Good. This is gonna be a little different. I mean, I. My plane landed at like 1:30 last night. We had a bunch of delays.
01:39
So it's been an odyssey getting home and a little bit of a. Haven't. Haven't had a lot of time totally catch up on the news cycle. And whenever you're at Gart, you are not really plugged in. So I definitely have news and we're just going to kind of wing it and play it by ear. I definitely have geopolitical stuff to talk about, the geopolitical stories and I have plenty of domestic stuff too. So I think we're gonna be fine. We're gonna have fun. Everyone in the chat, what's going on? I see some people. Yeah, there's. Yeah, I know. I see the air guitar. There's. There was some. We had some fun at Gart. We had some fun in Vegas. I'm sure we'll talk all about that this week. I'll. I'll save that for later.
02:26
I'm sure there's some incriminating videos floating around of certain things, karaoke and whatnot, but, you know, you can't believe AI whenever. Let's go ahead and hit the first sponsor and we can get into this. And that would be CB Distillery. I apologize. My computer is lagging a little bit. Hopefully that's not happening. My computer's just taking a few minutes to do stuff. What is happening here? I'm sorry, I thought this was already loaded in, but were having an issue. All right, there we go. We've cleaned up our diets, removed the harsh chemicals from our homes. So why are we still relying on outdated remedies for our health? Let me tell you about the highest quality CBD from CB Distillery. They offered natural plant based solutions for sleep stress and even post workout pain that actually work.
04:22
Get this, 90% of people report better sleep with CBD. That's a big deal if you're battling daily stress or trying to ease that nagging pain after exercise. CB Distillery has solutions for that too. Personally, my favorite product is, I actually use the, I use the sleep. I find that actually works really well. My mind races, if you can believe that. So this, the sleep that they sell, I think it's what it's called. It's called sleep and it works great. So I definitely recommend that once you try it, you'll wonder how you ever got by without it. With over 2 million satisfied customers and a 100. All right, there we go. Yes.
05:28
Like I said, Gart always kind of creates a little bit of program changes and getting back on Monday is always a little bit of a process, especially when we're traveling from the west coast to the East Coast. Like I went to the airport at noon yesterday and like I said, didn't get home until 1:30 my time. So that certainly is going to add to it. I know Ash and Cancon are still traveling today, so people were asking why is there no brief. I'll let Ash speak to that. But I, but I believe she announced last week or two weeks ago that they're not going to do the brief morning show anymore. We're still going to do the brief substack article, but I think we're going to shift to, we're going to try to implement that this week, I believe.
06:21
But doing like a Badlands Live where we basically have live stream going all day, that would cover anything that's happening, whether it's a Senate confirmation hearing, a White House press briefing, whatever it is. And some of the stuff won't necessarily be live. It'll be things that if two things are happening at the same time, we might play one live and then play the other one on record afterwards. But basically you'll have a continuous stream where Ash and I and probably others will jump on periodically and do commentary certainly after a White House press briefing, but other events as well. So we have been working on getting that up and going and hopefully that's going to be implemented this week. Stand by for that. But yeah, there'll be some changes happening and you know, change can be good. Huh? Okay. I didn't have audio.
07:23
Apparently my audio, some Jessica's telling, my audio went out during the CBD ad read. So we'll hit that again later. But let's go ahead and jump into the news. All right, so the big news today. So I pulled this from Breitbart, but this is kind of is everywhere. So all outlets are carrying the story but shut down. Marco Rubio cancels 83% of E USAID programs says 83% of the programs directly funded and administered by the U.S. Agency for International Development, known as USAID, were canceled Monday by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Rubio took to social media to announce the latest step in the Trump administration's efforts to cleanse the deep state from government institutions. The decision came after a week a six week review of the programs Rubio set out, citing their funding is antithetical to the core interest of the United States.
08:35
I will go ahead and read his statement. So this is Rubio's statement. After a six week review, we are officially canceling 83% of the programs at USAID. The 5,200 contracts that are now canceled spent tens of billions of dollars in ways that did not serve and in some cases even harmed the core national interests of the United States. In consultation with Congress, we intend for the remaining 18% of programs we are keeping approximately 1000 contracts to now be administered more effectively under the State Department. Thank you to Doge and our hardworking staff who worked very long hours to achieve this overdue and historic reform. That's the end of the statement. The Trump administration last month placed USAID direct hire staffers around the world on leave except those deemed essential, while others were fired or placed on administrative leave.
09:23
As Breitbart News reported, employees were notified that usaid, quote was beginning a reduction in force that would eliminate 2,000 US based jobs, end quote. However, this was later changed in another notice to 1600 employees reportedly having their jobs affected. Now the results of that review can be, have been delivered and then this is great. So before I get my commentary, I'll read the second part of the article which it says RFK Jr. USAID has been captured by the military industrial complex and there's a video. I think we should just watch the video and then we can cover anything else that might be in the article that's relevant.
10:04
Most recently I greatly appreciate and I called you the day that you announced the termination of USAID. My uncle started USAID in 1961 for humanitarian purposes to put our country on the side of the poor. It has been captured by the military industrial complex. It has become a sinister propagator of totalitarianism and war across the globe. And very few people understand how sinister this agency really is. And President Trump saw that and he stood up to it with a masterstroke. And we want to do the same thing with the institutions that are stealing the health of our children. We need a revolutionary figure. And you are that figure. And I'm very grateful for you for giving me this opportunity.
11:02
All right, me. There we go. The layoffs of thousands of employees from USAID come after a Trump appointed judge ruled that if Trump. If the Trump administration deems it necessary to place thousands of workers on leave in order to review US Backed foreign assistance, they are allowed to do that. In fiscal year 2023, USAID dispersed $72 billion of aid worldwide, courtesy of funds provided by U.S. Taxpayers on everything from gender affirming health care in Guatemala, teaching people in Kazakhstan to fight back against Internet trolls, voluntary male circumcisions and Mozambique, and creating work opportunities for young LGBTQ. I what is the I + weird people in Serbia, to name just a few. And then here's a post from Breitbart where it says the left USAID is for starving children.
11:56
And then there's an actual article that says USAID tells teachers to hide students gender identity from parents. Yeah, that's pretty much sums it up. Here's another one says Biden administration authorized $20 million for the creation of Sesame street in Iraq to promote inclusion. I actually saw, I will say this, I actually saw a clip that was floating around on X of the Arab Sesame street, and it almost seemed like it was off of Saturday Night Live. Like the Sesame street characters were like firing machine guns and like engaging in warfare. It felt like a Saturday Night Live clip. So it was actually funny and entertaining to me as an adult. I don't know if it's intended for children over there, But I mean, $20 million seems like way too much money for a puppet show anyway.
12:47
But frankly, that might have been the best $20 million that USAID has spent thus far because that clip was laugh out loud funny. I don't know if it was meant to be. So anyway, that's. That's the article. Yeah, I saw John posted about this on X, that why are we even keeping the 1,000 contracts? The 18. And I would be in complete agreement with John. That's ridiculous. This is fruit of the poisonous tree. USAID is a poisonous tree. It has proven that it is extremely irresponsible with spending money. And that's probably the nicest window dressing you can put on that. Like, I would say that it's actually a very nefarious, corrupt, criminal organization of money laundering and other, even worse things. And I think all of it should be abolished. All of it. All contracts should be shut down if that spending is necessary.
13:44
Allow other agencies that are far more legitimate to figure that out, and they can spend their money on it. I don't see why any money from our coffers needs to go anywhere around the world. That seems very silly to me. I don't even think we should really be maintaining military bases around the world unless there's a very good reason to do so. But having 800 seems insane. China and Russia only have, I think, a few each. So I, I think the world police thing is ridiculous. But that's not even what USAID is. USAID, by the way, I think is only like 1% of the federal budget. So it's. There are a lot of other revenue streams or spending streams that we are using to get money out to launder it.
14:30
I would be really interested to know what those 1,000 contracts are that we're keeping. I think all this should be shut down, and the people in who work at USAID should all be placed under investigation for malfeasance. I mean, you know, if they're innocent, that's fine. But there have to be some guilty people there who have engaged in some really corrupt practices, money laundering, to say the least. But I think there's probably a lot worse things that they've been guilty of. It could be child trafficking, could be getting money to the cartels, stuff like that. So that needs to be adjudicated and run down. Overall, I've been pretty happy with Marco Rubio's performance as Secretary of State. I feel like he's done what Trump has asked him to do, and it seems like he's been working pretty hard.
15:22
This is something where I'm looking at him like, you got a unanimous. You got unanimous support in the senate. It was 98, I think, to zero his confirmation. There was no grilling, nothing. I think Trump did that by design because so he could get Rubio in and put him to work. I think if I recall correctly, as soon as he was confirmed, he walked out of the that room, picked up his phone, called Netanyahu, got on the plane, flew to Germany, and he's been running around, running ragged ever since. He looked exhausted at the State of the Union last week. So anyway, let's see how's chat doing? Okay. So people in the chat are asking, why isn't there a brief this morning, like the substack brief? I think that's because Ash. Ash and Cancon were in Vegas last night. They stayed an extra day.
16:18
Ash was out there with her parents. Cancon and then were. Were enjoying themselves much. Deserved vacation. So they're flying back today. I suspect that's probably why. But we will have the brief up again tomorrow on substack. So everyone was traveling yesterday, and it was just a hectic travel day. And there's something going on with X. Have you all been ever on X yet? I can't get X to work, and apparently we are not streaming on X right now, so I don't know what's going on, but it is. April Ann says the brief is canceled. The brief is not canceled. The. The live stream, the. The audio version of the brief is discontinued, but the brief itself is not canceled. We are still putting the brief out. Yeah, for some reason, it's not going live. That's really weird. Can y'all get on X?
17:15
My X is not. My feed is not interesting. Based on what was happening over there yesterday, that's a really interesting development, huh? Interesting. All right. X is down. That's what people in the chat are saying. X is not working. Texting to the core asks Morning Ghost what's going on in Syria. Don't worry, we will get to Syria. I'm gonna follow the model that. That Cancon does, and I'm gonna do. I'm gonna domestic stuff first, and then we'll get to. The Internet's just been weird for me today. I don't know about y'all, but the Internet's just been. Anyway, all right, so here's another article from Breitbart Study. Medicaid doled out $1.1 trillion in improper payments over past decade. Oh, wow. Interesting. Didn't see that one coming, huh? This is what I'm talking about. Like, why is the Internet not loading?
18:28
I don't know if it's just my computer or if it's the Internet itself. Yeah, Starlink for sure. I need to get Starlink, but I'm pretty sure that's, like, extremely expensive. That's disappointing. We don't have the article. Let's see if I can find another version of it. All right, well, here's another. A different article. It's not exactly the same, but it's from two days ago, and it says HHS, which is the Health and Human Services. That's RFK's department. Warren Scheme to defraud Medicare Medicaid resulted in millions lost the Department of Health and Human Services on Monday issued a warning that fraudsters are targeting federal health programs with a scheme that led to millions of dollars in losses. The scheme, according to HHS Office of Inspector General, targets Medicare Medicaid with fraudulent funds transfer requests from individuals posing as healthcare providers.
19:51
These requests resulted in multiple fraudulent payments, causing over one third of health contractors and agencies surveyed to lose between $140,001 million. There is a potential for large losses associated with electronic funds transfer fraud given how widely electronic funds transfer transactions are used within the healthcare industry, a report by HHS reads recently. Frosters, who were able to gain unauthorized access to email accounts targeted the HHS grant payment management system, leading to millions of dollars in losses in 2023, it added. Two thirds of those surveyed told HHS they were aware they were targets for the schemes. For the scheme, security threats which led to fraud attempts included email phishing and impersonation attacks and threats from individuals inside the health organizations.
20:45
OIG recommended engaging with Medicare contractors to improve security and sharing information to mitigate evolving threats, Department of Government Efficiency DOGE head Elon Musk wrote in February. His team is working to root out fraud within Medicare and Medicaid. Yeah, this is where big money fraud is happening, musk wrote. The findings come as other federal officials are sounding the alarm over tax dollar misuse. The Cato Institute released a report Tuesday on federal government subsidies, which it argued are akin to corporate welfare. The federal government runs a wide array of programs that subsidize businesses and industries, it wrote. These corporate welfare programs burden taxpayers and undermine economic growth, favoring some businesses over others with subsidies also contradicts the American ideal of equal treatment under the law. Isn't that interesting?
21:28
That's like exactly what I've been saying for a long time now when it comes to corporate America and how we don't need to worry about socialism coming or fascism coming or whatever you want to call it corporatism. We already have it. Your government already picks winners and losers. It already gives, you know, large corporations welfare. It already gives them money. It creates regulations that prevent small businesses from competing with them. And here you have it. Here's the government telling you that's what's happening, Elon Musk telling you that. So none of this is shocking. This is what, this is exactly what we always kind of knew was the deal. So the other headline, which unfortunately the Internet won't load the story $1.1 trillion in misallocated funds. That's money laundering, of course. And I would say run all that money down.
22:29
I mean, every person who received was on the receiving end of those payments. Should absolutely be investigated for. Should absolutely be investigated for malfeasance. All right. Malibu hit by fires, now hit by earthquakes as. As well. Malibu, California, which was burned by the Franklin fire in December and the Palisades fire in January, suffered a 4.1 magnitude earthquake on Sunday and is apparently facing a series of similar small earthquakes in the future. The Los Angeles Times reported Sunday's magnitude 4.1 earthquake near Malibu is part of a larger seismic pattern being seen in Southern California. The region has been experiencing a number of moderate earthquakes since 2024. In all, 2024, Southern California experienced 15 seismic sequences with at least one magnitude 4 or higher earthquake, according to account by seismologist Lucy Jones, a Caltech research associate.
23:29
That's the highest annual total in the last 65 years, surpassing the 13 seen in 1988. The Malibu area has seen three quakes larger than magnitude 4 in the last 13 months. Earthquakes are notoriously difficult to predict, and there is no sense of when the next major earthquake might hit the region. Still, the tremor on Sunday rattled nerves in the region already shattered by the recent wildfires. In 2018, the area was devastated by the Woolsey Fire, which swept through parts of Malibu in the Santa Monica Mountains. The area is known for being home to many Hollywood celebrities, but it is also prone to fires given the lengthy dry summer season and intense rains in winter that provide enough water for rapid brush. Yeah, well, prayers to everyone and everyone in the area who's being affected.
24:18
You know, I was actually talking to Chris about this at Gart, and he showed me an interesting video that I missed, an interview that Trump did. It was, you know, it was one of those moments where he's sitting at the desk signing, probably signing executive orders, and he's. He's fielding questions while he's doing it because he's a multitasker. And they asked about, they were asking about the Palisades fire, and Trump literally said, yeah, I attacked California. And. Very strange. We need to kind of figure out what Trump meant by that. I don't know if he was referring to attacking.
24:55
It wasn't clear if he was referring to them like he attacked them with the fire or he attacked them because they didn't have adequate water available, and then he forced them to get the water flowing because right before he says that, he was saying that the water is now flowing in California. So it was unclear. But it was an interesting video and I apologize that I'm describing a video instead of showing it. It was just something that Chris showed to me. Yes, but thoughts and prayers to everyone in Malibu, everyone around there, even the the losers and the haters, even the Hollywood celebrities. Thoughts and prayers to anyone whose house is being affected. We don't. We don't want people to suffer Georgia lawmakers pass bill that could let Trump others recover costs of election meddling case oh, look at this one.
25:49
Georgia Senate passed a bill that would allow President Donald Trump and more than a dozen people to seek compensation for legal bills stemming from an attempt to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state. Georgia lawmakers passed bill that could let Trump others recover costs of election meddling case By Charlotte oh, okay, yeah, somebody messed up the copy on Breitbart there. Y'all need to figure out the editor there. Or maybe this is coming from the Associated Press via Breitbart. Georgia lawmakers passed Georgia Senate passed a bill that could allow President Donald Trump and more than a dozen people to seek compensation for legal bills stemming from an attempt to overturn a 2020 election loss in the state.
26:26
The bill, passed unanimously by state legislatures Thursday, would enable compensation from counties for attorneys fees and other legal costs and criminal cases in which a district attorney has been disqualified if the case gets dismissed or compensation for the cost of arguing the district attorney should be disqualified. Trump and 18 co defendants were indicted in Fulton county in August 2023. The accusations included asking Georgia's Republican secretary of state to find enough votes for Trump to win the battleground state, harassing an election worker and attempting to persuade Georgia lawmakers to ignore the will of the voters and appoint a new slate of Electoral College electors. Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis was disqualified from the election interference case by state appeals court based on a romantic relationship she had with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom Willis hired to lead the case.
27:15
Georgia Senate Minority Leader Harold Jones II and an Augusta Democrat posed a different hypothetical. Quote, if you have that young person possession of marijuana or whatever it may be, and the prosecutor has done something wrong and that case is dismissed because the prosecutor did something wrong, they're entitled to have their attorney's fees back, jones said. That's actually something that we probably would have pushed many years ago, end quote. Another bill passed in Senate Thursday that would give subpoena powers to state and House committees. Both pills, both bills come a year after the state Senate passed a bill creating a special committee to investigate various forms of misconduct by Willis, including her relationship with Wade. The committee tried to subpoena Willis for hire for hearing last year. No. The committee tried to subpoena Willis for a hearing last year, but she did not appear.
28:00
A judge later ruled the committee was allowed to subpoena her. Nothing, nothing has come of the committee's investigation. But Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones and other Republicans said last week they want to investigate Stacey Abrams. They want to look deeper into recent ethic findings that voter participation group New Georgia Project improperly coordinated with Abrams 2018 gubernatorial campaign. She would have been the first black woman to serve as a U. S. Governor, but lost to Republican Brian Kemp, who defeated her again in a 2022 rematch. They also want to investigate unsubstantiated claims by new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin that Abrams benefited from $2 billion that. That a coalition of groups trying to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases received from President Biden, Joe Biden's administration. Abrams said she received none of the money. Well, that.
28:51
That would be the alleged money laundering that I was referring to earlier because, you know, they're saying this money comes from a coalition of groups. Maybe it's, you know, Those groups are NGOs, and the way it works is the NGOs apply for grant money from the government and they get it from, you know, they wouldn't get it from usaid. They would get it from other places because USAID is foreign, foreign aid, but they would still get money from the government from that way. Then they take the money and they give it to politicians as part of their campaign contributions. And the politicians, of course, pass legislation or support legislation or sponsor legislation that benefits those groups. One of the worst offenders of that is Planned Parenthood, of course. And that's been a story for years. So. All right, let's see.
29:48
Skip Lindsey Graham for now because that's foreign. All right. Huntington beach sues California for protecting dangerous legal aliens. The city of Huntington beach has filed suit. Oh, I will also say this before we get to this story, the last story, the Democrat who was talking about a different hypothetical, like somebody being charged with, like, possession of marijuana or whatever, and then it's found that the prosecutor engaged in prosecutorial misconduct and is disqualified from the case. Yes, I completely agree. In that situation, the person who is the accused should absolutely get their attorney fees back. I'm shocked. That's not already a thing. I'm sure people probably sue governments in order to get that money back in those cases. But then again, you're paying now more money to another lawyer to file a civil lawsuit, which would be different from the criminal suit.
30:42
So yeah, they'd just be a given that money is compensated back to them. The city of Huntington beach has filed suit against the state of California for its laws protecting dangerous illegal aliens and for its support of sanctuary policies. The city of the city is working with America First Legal to AFL to sue the state Governor Gas, Gavin Newsom and the attorney and Attorney General Robert Bonta for acts and policies which they maintain violate federal immigration, criminal and civil rights law. AFL said in a press, recent press release. Since California, quote, since California began passing sanctuary laws in 2017, AFL wrote, tens of thousands of dangerous criminal illegal aliens have been released by local law enforcement back into the community and violent crime has surged nearly 20% across the state.
31:38
And then here's a post from America First Legal from X and it says the state of California has shielded dangerous criminals for far too long. AFL is suing California and Gavin Newsom to end the illegal sanctuary state laws that protect criminal illegal aliens and threaten American citizens. And then there's a, an X post that they are quoting that shows screenshots of the actual filing. The court filing says legal aid pointed out that the legal aid group pointed out that the Orange county. That Orange county alone released more than 1,000 dangerous criminal illegal aliens in 2018 alone. The lawsuit takes aim at California sanctuary laws that limit the ability of all local police forces to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other federal agencies. The suit asks the courts to enjoin the state from enforcing its unconstitutional sanctuary state laws.
32:32
Federal law is clear, quote, federal law is clear. It is a crime to conceal, harbor or shoot illegal aliens. And it is a crime to prevent federal officials from discharging their duties. It is also against federal law to prevent local authority or local officials from communicating with DHS about the immigration status of individuals, said James Rogers, senior counsel for America First Legal. Our nation's immigration laws reflect the democratic will of the people and it is disgraceful that the state of California is actively trying to subvert it while at the same time facilitating the invasion of our country. Rogers continued. It is outrageous. The city, it is outrageous that the city of Huntington beach has to seek a court order allowing it to comply with federal law and that it can be allowed to cooperate with legitimate federal law enforcement efforts.
33:20
America First Legal is proud to represent the city of Huntington beach and its stand for sanity and the rule of law. AFL will fight vigorously to push back California's subversion of federal law. This is great. This is, this is what I think a lot of us have been talking about for many years, speculating that this is like, this is the path forward. The path forward is for lower level governments to sue higher level governments and for those cases ultimately to go to the Supreme Court and for the Supreme Court to decide. Because no matter who loses the case, they're going to appeal. So eventually it goes to the Supreme Court and then the Supreme Court can codify, you know, the constitutionality of who has the authority. And that needs to be adjudicated.
34:05
Because that's a question that was at the very center of the argument that was being spelled out, hashed out rather in the 1780s between the founding fathers. Should the power reside with the federal government or should the power reside with the state government or the local government? The state and local government kind of together, working together as like a symbiotic relationship. And you know, the anti federalists were saying that the county level should really be the most powerful government and then the state and federal levels should be, you know, almost like support governments. They're supporting the county in whatever they need. But it's not a top down system. That's what the anti federalists are arguing.
34:49
The federalists are arguing that only with a strong centralized federal government will America be strong enough to defend them, to defend itself from Britain, which was still trying to mess with us in every other place, France, Spain, any other potential enemy that may try to mess with us. So because we did fight a war with France 20 years before the revolution, even though they helped us in the revolution. And then we tried to help them in their revolution but that got infiltrated and subverted by a bunch of communists. But I digress. Sorry if my voice is a little ragged. I actually didn't lose my voice at Gart this weekend, which was amazing. I'm shocked. Absolutely shocked. How's, how's the chat doing? Let's go ahead and I'm gonna hit. One second, I'm gonna hit this.
35:49
This.
35:50
Ad read again because I am being told by Jessica that my audio was during that. So let's go ahead and hit it again. We've cleaned up our diets. Diets remove the harsh chemicals from our homes. California's in the news a lot today.
37:48
So Gavin Newsom to Charlie Kirk on Men and Women's Sports Democratic Party brand has just been crushed California Governor Gavin Newsom admitted to Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk that the Democrats have taken a wildly unpopular positions on certain issues, such as men competing in women's sports, but will continue to maintaining such losing stances as a matter of principle. Quote, I don't mind losing. Sometimes you lose on principle, the California governor told Kirk during Thursday's episode of the this is Gavin Newsom podcast. Newsom was specifically referring to his unwillingness to agree with Kirk that men should not compete in women's sports, arguing that for him it is a matter of principle, not politics. I deeply am mindful of the politics of this, which are very unhelpful personally and unhelpful more broadly and professionally to the Democratic Party in our brand new submatic, the Democratic.
38:46
The Democratic Party brand has just been crushed. And I you know, I've heard Trump say this before, but it's not the Democratic Party, it's the Democrat Party. There's a difference. It's not the Democratic Party, it's the Democrat Party. And Trump actually used to call people out all the time for saying that. And so Newsom, you don't even know the name of your own party Dummy, you get the helmet. Put the helmet. If I had Caroline Levitt's idiot helmet you would be wearing it right now. Kirk replied, your self awareness is helpful to know because it is deeply unpopular and I think this is an ascendant political force that is not going away. End quote.
39:30
Earlier in their conversation, Kirk had urged Newsom to step up and say no to male athletes participating in female sports, to which the California governor replied by admitting he completely agrees with TPS TP USA founder on the issue of fairness. It's deeply unfair. Newsom added said, adding that nonetheless he cannot take the stance that biological men Wait. Nonetheless, he cannot take the stance that biological men should not participate in women's sports. The pop. The governor explained his position. This is the whole this whole quote is from Nome. Sorry guys, my voice is little shot on the issue of fairness. I completely agree. So that's easy to call out the unfairness of that. There's also a humility and a grace that these poor people are more likely to commit suicide and have anxiety and depression.
40:17
And the way that people talk down to vulnerable communities is an issue that I have a hard time with as well. So both things I can hold in my hand. How can we address this issue with the kind of decency that I think is inherent in you but not always expressed on the issue but at the same time deal with the unfairness in quote I mean dude, wow, I'm this is just so insane. Shame on Charlie Kirk for participating in this. You asked a good faith. This is quote, you asked a good faith question how do Democrats get out of the wilderness? Kirk acknowledged before reminding Newsom that the left stance on this topic is still wildly unpopular, stating this one is an 8020 issue. Newsom conceded, replying, I agree with you. We're getting crushed on it.
40:59
Even in my own friend cohort people say what the hell is going on? Why aren't you calling this out? When did this happen? The governor noted, before reiterating that he cannot bring himself to change his stance in the matter. Kirk informed Newsom, you guys are giving us an 8020 issue that is just permeating the country and it's such an affront to our senses. To which the governor replied, I don't disagree.
41:18
The TPUSA founder went on to explain that to Newsom that the difference between liberals and conservatives is you guys will tend to view an incident through an oppress or oppressed lens and we as conservatives tend to view things through right or wrong or just or Unjust, and the country is going far more in our direction and away from your direction, Kirk said, because the problem with oppressed or oppressed is eventually you run out of oppressors and you start creating them out of thin air. I don't disagree with what, like, the quotes that Charlie is saying there, but here's what's happening right now, and I. And this is another thing I was talking about with Chris over the weekend, is there is an effort right now to rebrand and reinvent Gavin Newsom. He is.
41:59
He is still, I think, the strongest figure of a very weak gene pool in the Democrat Party. He's still, like, probably their. Their best in their eyes, their best figure in the future. Like, Right. He's the best racehorse they have until somebody else emerges. And so I think they're probably trying to position him for a presidential run, I would think, or something similar, but they're going to try to rebrand him. And rebranding him means that they need to reintroduce him to everybody, like, with new ideas and new branding. And you would do that by bringing in guys like Charlie Kirk to do it. And, you know, I'm not against meeting with people who I disagree with and speaking to them on issues. I just don't think these conversations are happening in good faith.
42:51
Like, I think when Charlie Kirk meets with Gavin Newsom, whatever Charlie Kirk's motive is for doing that, he may have an altruistic motive in doing it. He may think he's actually doing something net positive. All you're doing, though, Charlie, is you're giving this guy oxygen when he. When, as you said in the interview, his party is on life support. The fact that Gavin. I mean, I actually thought from the clip that I saw from this interview last week that I thought Gavin Newsom did change his position. I thought he was saying, yeah, I'm going to go ahead and change my position. I would have. I mean, in some ways, I would have respected that more than this because, you know, at least you're. At least you're now doing the right thing. It's for the wrong reasons, of course, and everyone.
43:35
It would be very transparent to everyone while you're doing it. But instead, he's doubling down on a position that he is acknowledging is a terrible position. That is awful in principle. And he doesn't agree with in principle. And I think he probably thinks in his head that's. That makes him. That makes him principled. Like, he is a principled person because he is sticking to his guns. But it Actually, and this is the problem with moral relativism, is he's actually demonstrating that he's very unprincipled because he just told Charlie Kirk that he disagrees in principle with the, with transgender men playing with women. Right. Yet he's going to keep, he's going to continue to support it for reasons that he can't quite explain.
44:20
And I suspect that it's because of money that he's being given by certain groups and that money is going to be cut off if he doesn't continue toe the line. That is a perfect demonstration of the problem with American politics. I won't even say the Democrat Party, because the Republican Party does it as well, of course. And the identity politics. And you know, what they were trying to do is they were trying to weaponize Christian tolerance against Christians and say, and I see this happening in churches all over my town where you have the rainbow flag flying in front of a 250 year old church, a church that is older than America itself. You know, because Virginia has been settled for 400 years.
45:00
There are churches that are older than our country that have rainbow flags flying out front and where the pastors are preaching lbgtq. Plus, I don't know what the I stands for. It's a little weird. It's sick, man. I mean, it's so sick. And shame on Charlie for not calling that out more aggressively. I think he was, I think he was treating Gavin like Gavin was like a good faith actor here. And he's just not like, I'm willing to have a good faith, like a conversation with someone based on good faith. I just don't think this is a good faith conversation. And the fact that Charlie wasn't calling him out for being unprincipled in that moment is what he should have been doing.
45:40
Instead, he was basically, you know, he was like being the punching bag for Gavin so Gavin could look tough to his donors and that kind of thing. Excuse me, man. Let's see. Where are we now? Oh, the other thing. I'm wondering. So this is, so this is something that I think were speculating in the private chat on Badlands. This happened on Gavin Newsom's podcast. I thought, I, you know, when I saw the clips last week, I thought that was on Charlie Kirk's podcast and gav, like he invited Gavin on, which would have been worse. This is a little better optically for Charlie. But how is Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, allowed to have a podcast, which I assume is monetized. Like, I don't know if it's monetized or not, but that just seems very weird.
46:34
I mean, I'm not against him using podcasting to communicate with people, if that's what the point of it is, but it just seems very, like, I don't know, very weird to me. So let's again, stick with California. California's getting a lot of love today, L.A. Times Mayor Karen Bass is deleting her text messages Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is deleting her text messages, thus defeating efforts by media organizations to obtain them as government communications subject to public records requests, according to the Los Angeles Times. The Times reported that it had been unable to obtain Bass's text messages concerning her overseas trip to Ghana, during which the LA fires broke out because they were automatically deleted in. The city had not retained them, the Times reported.
47:23
She and her office have said that it was in constant communication during that period, but it's impossible to know exactly what she was communicating because her messages were not saved, according to a city lawyer. Her phone is set not to save text messages, said the lawyer, David Michelson. Michelson said that there is no requirement that a city official or employee save text messages, despite the fact that the city's own document retention policies dictate that most records should be kept for at least two years. Yeah, that's nonsense. I mean, I like in the private sector, you're supposed to maintain legal documents for, I think three years minimum. Is, is the practices that my companies have always followed. And in certain situations it's seven years.
48:05
When you're dealing with, you know, real estate development and certain aspects related to construction and development, it's like you have to keep it for seven years. So that's very silly. And I don't, I don't accept that. I don't accept that reasoning in good faith. I think that is a lie. I think they know that they are supposed to. That's like, oh, I didn't know I was supposed to maintain my emails. It's like, what, like you're allowed to erase your email so nobody can go find them? Yeah, that's. It implies guilt. Common sense just dictates that it implies guilt, especially on a subject matter that important, you know, at that scale. The time suggests that Bass is violating both state law and the city's own administrative code.
48:49
Breitbart News has written to the office of LA County District Attorney Nathan Hockman to ask whether he intends to investigate or pursue legal action against the mayor over her text messages. Not holding my breath, but we'll see. Interesting. Very interesting. How's the chat doing? Yeah, people. People are saying that they've seen similar stuff with their churches and people and they just not to attend and that's what's happened. I know a lot of people who stopped going to church or they switched to a different church because of that stuff, because they were like, I'm not going to go there and be. And be preached to about, you know, I'm a bad person if I don't accept the transgender ideology. Like, forget that because I'm a bad Christian because I'm not being tolerant. It's like you're denying God's natural creation by accepting that premise.
49:58
So Christian, there's a lot of moral relativism in Christianity and it's a real problem. And that's a situation that needs to be adjudicated and needs to be confronted because I think the church has been absolutely infiltrated by Satan and it has been weaponized against itself. And it is an absolute tragedy to see. And I am far from a perfect Christian, but man, I will call a spade when I see a spade, and that is a spade. Alrighty, let's get back. Let's get back to it. U S. Secret Service shoots armed man near White House after confrontation. An adult male brandishing a firearm was shot by U. S. Secret Service officers near the White house in Washington, D.C. Shortly after midnight on Sunday, the agency said. The encounter happened near the intersection of 17th and F streets northwest. NPR reports.
50:49
Local police had earlier reported a suicidal individual possibly traveling to D.C. From Indiana, the agency added. Secret Service personnel located the individual's vehicle and spotted a person on foot who matched the description. Quote, as officers approached, the individual brandished a firearm and an armed confrontation ensued during which shots were fired by our personnel, end quote. The Secret Service detailed and a statement shared by X on X by spokesman Anthony Googly, googly. Elmi. I apologize, Anthony. I just am bad at pronouncing certain languages. And that sounds like a very lovely Italian name, but I just can't pronounce it. Googly, googly, mel me. Y'all can laugh at me if you want the full statement by the Secret Services below. On Sunday, March 9, an adult male was shot by U.S. Secret Service personnel following an armed confrontation with law enforcement in Washington, D.C.
51:46
Earlier on Saturday, local police shared information about a suicidal individual who may be traveling to Washington, D.C. From Indiana around midnight. Members of the Secret Service encountered the individual's parked vehicle near 17th and F Streets Northwest. They also saw an individual on foot matching the description nearby. As officers approached the individual brandish a firearm and an armed confrontation ensued during which shots were fired by our personnel. The subsect was transported to an area hospital and his condition is unknown. There were no reports reported injuries to Secret Service personnel. The incident is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department Internal Affairs Division's Force Investigations Team. Wow, that's a mouthful. Which investigates all law enforcement officer involved shootings in the District of Columbia. I still don't understand why D.C. Has its own government. It should be just a federal government.
52:37
It seems really silly to me that, and that's one of the problems that Trump has talked about when he talks about the incorporated D.C. They incorporated a government in D.C. And created their own government which is obviously controlled by some sort of a cartel, a Democrat cartel. So, yep, that's, I mean, you show up to the White House with a gun, chances are you are probably going to be shot. All right, we'll hit maybe a few more. Let me see, let me see how many I have. Yeah, we got a few more. And then we will go to the geopolitical. All right. Trump. Elon Musk has done a great job during the week's. This week's morning Features or Futures? President Donald Trump dismissed naysayers who claimed friction between him and the Department of Government Efficiency Doge head Elon Musk.
53:52
Trump gave Musk his vote of confidence despite opponents claiming he was overstepping. Look, quote, look, the Democrats say that Elon Musk and Doge are overstepping their bounds. You're right. What Elon Musk and Doge have been able to uncover is unbelievable. Host Maria Bartorema said half of us did not even realize. And stop there. Trump interrupted. Because look, stop there. What he, you just said what he's done is unbelievable. Now you could, you could then add some. Well, but what about the. He's found hundreds of billions of dollars worth of fake contracts. And I, and I read them, just a tiny portion of them. And the other night, transgender surgery on mice. Hundreds of, I mean, the money they're spending on all this stuff, the whole thing's a scam. He continued.
54:35
And you would find ultimately that the money that they sent comes back to a lot of the people who made those deals. Okay. You're going to find that what he's also done is made people realize how many people should be Cut. Because normally you go in and you say, all right, cut 4% of your workforce. He said cut 50%, 60%, 70%. That's a big thing. No, he's done a great job. I love it. And I didn't watch the interviews. I don't watch Fox News. But I mean, I don't know if Maria Bartiromo was trying to suggest that Elon Musk has done something wrong. It wouldn't surprise me at all. Fox News is anti Elon Musk because the people, the Republican Party grifts off of the government graft as well. The, the rnc, I don't think is happy.
55:21
The old guard Republicans are not happy about what Elon Musk is doing. So it's not like he's just going after Democrats. He's going after Republicans, too. I mean, Marco Rubio just said, we're gonna keep sending money over. We're gonna keep sending billions of dollars overseas. We're just not going to send as much as we used to send. It's nonsense. Corruption. All right. Yeah. So I agree with Trump and 100 agree with Trump. Come on computer. The ads on, the ads on this stuff is just killer, man. It's awful. All right, so this is from Fox News. I just said I don't watch Fox News, but this is a story from Fox News. The headline is Trump's eighth week in office set to continue breakneck level of actions rallying GOP to avoid shutdown. Oh, we gotta keep the government going.
56:32
Lawmakers have until Friday to pass a continuing resolution or face government shutdown. President Trump is expected to have another busy week back in the Oval Office, including rallying Republican congressional support to pass a continuing resolution ahead of Friday's government shutdown deadline. Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are in the midst of hammering out a stopgap spending bill that would fund the Federal government through September 30th. 30th. Or face a shutdown at the end of the week. Quote, I am working with a, with the great House Republicans on a continuing resolution to fund the government until September to give us some needed time to work on our agenda, Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Wednesday. Conservatives will love this bill because it sets up to cut taxes and spending and reconciliation, all while effectively freezing spending this year, Trump added.
57:21
Negotiators released a 99 page piece of legislation on Saturday that would roughly maintain current government funding levels through the beginning of the fiscal year 2026, which begins October 1st. House Republicans have said they are confident the bill will pass on Republican support alone, Fox Digital previously reported. House Republican leadership aides said in a media call on Sunday that the bill was closely coordinated with the White House, but noted that Trump was not reviewed, has not reviewed the specific bill. House Democrats, meanwhile, are rallying lawmakers to reject the legislation, claiming Republicans are trying to cut Medicare and Medicaid. Quote, Republicans have decided to introduce a partisan continuing resolution that threatens to cut funding for health care, nutritional assistance and veterans benefits through the end of the current fiscal year, end quote. House Republicans said in the statement last week.
58:09
Quote, House Republicans will enthusiastically support a bill that protects Social Security, Medicare, veterans health and Medicaid, but Republicans have chosen to put them on the chopping block for to pay for billionaire tax cuts. Yeah, I mean, look my. Okay, well, hold on. In addition to the looming shutdown, this week will also include tariffs of 25% on imports of steel and aluminum, taking effect on March 12, Trump told the media. That's Wednesday. The president is also set to receive a report on his assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania in July of last year that left him with an injury to the ear, as well as the assassination attempt in Florida in September that was thwarted. They're giving me a report next week sometime and I do believe I'll be rele, trump said on Thursday while speaking with Fox News Peter Duchy.
58:57
I want to release a report. A lot of people have asked that question. Trump has also previewed that the administration could announce the creation of a massive new program for building very large the largest ships in the world this week. It'll have to do with incentives, taxes. They'll be coming from all over the world just like they are with cars, with what we've done with tariffs, trump said from the Oval Office last week of the upcoming announcement. And we have at least seven new major car plants that are going to be starting very shortly because of what we're doing with the tariffs, which will primarily start on April 2. On Monday, Trump is expected to meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Root, where its main discussion point will certainly be the ongoing negotiations to reach a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine. Okay.
59:49
On Wednesday, Trump is expected to welcome Taosiak Mikhail Martin, the leader of Ireland. The president recently declared March Irish American History, American Heritage March as Irish American Heritage Month. Okay, cool. I'm Irish, love it. But, you know, not really into identity politics. I can be Irish year round and I can celebrate being Irish whenever I feel like it. So I don't really feel like I need a month to do it, but if it makes people feel all warm and fuzzy. Whatever. Let's see what do we got here? Yeah, I'm sorry, guys. I'm flipping through my tabs. I'm just making sure I'm. There aren't any other. Yeah, okay, so there's. There's one more. There's one more domestic story and then we'll. Two more domestic stories and then we will go. Go. Geopolitical.
01:01:01
Well, Musk claims George Soros, LinkedIn co founder Reid Hoffman are funding protests against Tesla. Tesla CEO Elon Musk blamed the recent string of vandalism working overtime to keep him safe. So the left's taking out vandalism across the US on act Blue Thunders including George Soros and Reed got arrested outside of Boston. Wait, hold up. Teslas. Yes, Jessica, I saw your message. I got you. Okay, I'm sorry. Let's get back to it. That doesn't matter. It's not up to you to say anything. You guys can get a better car. It's not up to you to say anything. I guess it. I guess calling out Soros. I'm sure Fox News is really thrilled about that. They hate it when you bought Soros.
01:01:47
Elon Musk is provide is blaming nationwide protests against his electric car company Tesla on left wing billionaires and the suspects are still at large. Close this left wing billionaire George Soros, billionaire Democrat mega donor and LinkedIn co founder Reid Hoffman and others claiming they are bankrolling the destructive protests. The protests at dealerships and other locations have occurred even as some Tesla vehicles are charging and charging stations have been damaged and destroyed. Though it is not clear that the protests and the vandalism are linked. Musk, Tesla's CEO took to his social media platform X on Sunday morning to say an investigation found five ActBlue funded groups were responsible for Tesla protests. An Investigation has found five ActBlue funded groups responsible for Tesla's protests. Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise and Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America. Those sound lovely. Musk wrote.
01:02:42
Sounds like really fun people that I'd like to know. Musk then named five act blue funders he believes are responsible for funding the protests, including Soros and Hoffman, among others. Looks like it's George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bowman. If I can get the X link to work, Melissa Patricia Bowman and Leah Hunt Hendricks. I just want to make sure we name people. It's always great to name people then when they're, when there's suspicion that they are doing something insidious or illegal. ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations, Musk continued. ActBlue is the Democratic fundraising platform that's hauled in millions of dollars in donations for Vice President Harris's presidential campaign and its affiliated entities. This week, seven ActBlue senior officials resigned, including the associate general counsel.
01:03:53
If you know anything about this, please post in replies. Thanks, Elon or Thanks Signed Elon Musk wrote. Tesla car owners, dealerships and charging stations have been targeted nationwide by protesters and vandals because of Musk's involvement with the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency, which aims to slash wasteful spending and fraud within the federal government. Indivisible, an organization funded founded by former Democratic congressional staffers, previously urged liberals to protest Musk's actions, going so far as providing a toolkit with recommendations on how to take the fight to Elon. On Saturday, protesters rallied outside Tesla dealerships holding signs denouncing Musk's endoge, denouncing Musk and Doge, including into Cancer, Georgia, according to the Associated Press. Earlier this week, protesters struck an Oregon Tesla dealership located 10 miles south of Portland, which was targeted by gunshots Thursday, damaging multiple cars and shattering windows, according to the ap.
01:04:58
Wow, where are all the Democrat politicians expressing their incredulous disbelief that people would use guns in a protest? That seems like a pretty easy layup for people who are all about gun control laws, but I guess then they would have to admit that they are criminals that support them. So sorry, I lost my train of thought there. I'm just trying to pull the chat up on my phone so I could follow along. Normally I follow the chat while Brian's reading this stuff, but I have to be on the Fox News website to read it, so I can't follow the chat. Just making sure that people are smoking what I'm growing, if you. If you catch what I'm saying. Yeah. So this is fascinating. I mean, number one, George source, I have said for a long time I think he's dead.
01:05:51
I think he died a while ago. I haven't seen any proof of life from him in years. And they've been rolling out his, you know, that. That little whelp that he sired? They've been rolling him around and trying to, like, build up his, you know, public credibility. He's just not a very impressive person at all whatsoever. And of course he has that handler whom Abedin, who of course I believe probably used to be Hillary Clinton's handler until she became politically irrelevant. What's interesting about this Story is, I wonder if, like, why are George Soros, Reid Hoffman, whoever else is involved, why would they not be funded, I mean, charged with inciting an insurrection? Inciting a riot, like funding an insurrection? I mean, if you're.
01:06:43
If you are spending millions of dollars to get people in a coordinated effort to go out and cause chaos and try to destabilize a community. Destabilize, whatever. I mean, how could that not be perceived or presented by a prosecutor as an attempt to overthrow that local government? Right? I mean, I don't feel like that is a. I mean, you're not trying to overthrow the federal government per se, but you are certainly trying to overthrow that local government. I mean, you could make the argument that if it is a riot, the riot is intended to sow chaos and discord. It's intended to get other people unwittingly out of their house and into the streets and get them to join in the violence. So I think it's very silly to not consider that. And why are these people not. Not being investigated for that stuff?
01:07:35
I just think it's very silly. And I. I think that our country, our just entire justice system is so twisted and backwards and doesn't. Doesn't have a principled basis. It's based on moral relativism, which is, of course a form of Satanism. And I think that explains a lot about what's going on in our country. All right, this is the last domestic story, and then we'll hit an ad read and go foreign. The Atlantic. This one's hilarious. This is a funny one. Wait, who is posting those unflattering J.D. Vance memes? The online. The online right is trolling one of its own. J.D. Vance doesn't look like himself. In recent days, the. The memes have spread across social media in which the vice president's face has been photoshopped to give him cartoonishly chubby cheeks. He looks like a bearded baby or Humpty Dumpty.
01:08:28
Sometimes he's holding a lollipop and wearing a child's baseball cap with a. With a propeller affixed to the top. One meme takes his edited baby face and adds lusciously curly locks, while another changes his skin tone to a gentle purple hue, making him look like Willy Wonka. Like a Willy Wonka inspired human blueberry. In every image, Vance has been reanimated as an utter doofus. Oh my God. Sorry, I gotta. I gotta archive this. I. These people are. Are so perfect. I love. Thank you, God, for making our enemies so arrogantly stupid and so arrogantly their hubris just betrays them and they lack self awareness and they just are the most unrelatable, humorless people out there and they can't meme and that's why. Come on buddy.
01:09:27
I mean we're not going to read this whole article because it is a, it's, this is like an op ed. I just think it's really important to talk about this stuff because this, these people are stupid and it's funny to point and laugh at them when they act this way because they just don't get it. And if you haven't seen the Elon. I mean the. Here. While that's loading, let me see if I can pull the old meme library up. That's weird. I was just able to get X to work a few minutes ago. Now it doesn't want to work again. Weird. I guess X is still down. I was, I was gonna pull up some of those memes, but I don't think X is working. It says it's something still wrong with it. So. All right, let's get back to this.
01:10:29
These memes first appeared in October when an X user on When a user on X posted an image of Vance caption for every 100 likes I will turn JD Vance into a progressively apple cheeked baby. But Babyface Vance has gone fully viral since last week when the vice president clashed with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office. Many of these photos, the most popular of which have received tens of thousands of likes on platforms such as X and Instagram, include captions that imagine Vance talking like a small child who cannot yet properly pronounce his words. You have to say please and thank you, Mr. Mr. Zinsky. Of course, people love making memes that portray their political adversaries as hapless and incompetent. That's not exactly what's happening with these images of Vance.
01:11:15
These memes are going viral on the left wing Internet, but they are equally, if not more popular on the right. Explicitly pro Trump accounts on X that otherwise spend their time bashing. Liberals are posting embarrassing memes of their party's second in command. No, the right doesn't appear to be posting unflattering memes advance because it is turned on him. As I wrote when Vance joined the Republican ticket, he uniquely appeals to various factions across the party. The on the online right in particular, has long appreciated Advance's recognition of it. He follows some of its Most prominent accounts on X such as Bronze Age. Bronze Age pervert. I don't know who that is. So why is the right willing to make fun of one of its own with means?
01:11:55
One user on X who goes by the name Alfred the Great and frequently shares right wing memes has been posting and reposting young, flattering viral images of the President. They're just funny, he told me when I asked him about them. For what it's worth, Vance seems to agree, or at least says he does. On Thursday he told a reporter for the Blaze he thinks the memes are funny are quote unquote funny. Others on the right swear that by posting images of Vance as a man baby, they're actually helping him. The right is having so much fun roasting Vance's baby fat that it's just completely neutered the left's capacity to make fun of him. End quote. One right wing account, Martian Weird Lord, wrote in a post that garnered about 22000 likes on X feels like a precursor to Vance's inevitable presidency.
01:12:43
Aaron McIntyre, prominent MAGA influencer, posted. Don't know that is he will. He will have been so thoroughly mean that he becomes immune to the effect before any entering office. Yeah. Then just goes on to talk about dark Brandon. Yeah. So these people are so dumb. Number one. Yeah. Making fun of people doesn't necessarily mean you don't like them. Like we on Badlands, we rib each other all the time. We make fun of each other all the time. And honestly it's like the more we make fun of each other, that's more of an indication of how much we like each other. That's just how guys communicate. And on in the Internet culture, it's the exact same way. That's how it's always been. Memes are a form of can. Can absolutely be a form of flattery.
01:13:31
And it's pretty evident when you look at a meme whether the meme is meant to be flattering or not. And even when it's like doing things like making you into a fat faced baby, it can still be very funny and entertaining. I just really wish I could and see like Ali Breland. Is that who you. It is, yeah. Ali. Ali, sweetheart, let me give you a little bit, let me just mansplain to you a little bit how to write an article like this because you obviously need some help. Like this is an awful image to use. This is a really bad image to use. You, you should be putting the memes in your article so that People like you're sitting here describing the memes to us, which I appreciate because you're not including the images.
01:14:20
Maybe your editor won't let you, but it would be a lot easier if you just showed us the memes, right? Like, like why talk about the meme? Why not just show it? I mean, just duh. And of course, like the left camp meme, the right also, you know, certain segments of the right also can't mean this woman may or may not be right wing. I don't know the Atlantic. What is the Atlantic is that. That's like uniparty. It's like the uniparty right or uniparty left. I don't know. These people are all losers. The left camp meme. They are completely. They lack all self awareness. They don't know anything about. They don't know how to be human. They're all sociopaths. They're all totally detached from humanity. That's why they don't understand memes. That's why they don't know how to make memes.
01:15:00
It's why they don't understand that when we're doing these Vance memes, they're hilarious, by the way. Like, I understand that there's certain people who have some skepticism on J.D. Vance, and I'm not prepared to anoint anybody as the heir apparent of Donald Trump yet. I think that is a conversation that comes much later down the line. We have a lot we have to accomplish before we start talking about 2028 or, you know, which I hope honestly will just be Donald Trump all over again. I have no interest in like game planning who the next person is. Like, that just is dumb to me. Like we still have a war we have to win and that's where the focus should be. So, and frankly, the, you know, it's a meme war. That's, that's one aspect of it. And this is part of the meme war.
01:15:46
And by the way, next week on the book of Trump, I'm going to be, I'm going to have Jordan Sather and Brad on and we're going to talk about the 2016 Me More. So that's going to be next week's book, a Trump episode tonight. I was gonna have Brad on tonight to do Trump Tower, but he's traveling again today to get home from like he said, let's do it after guard. And then we just didn't think about the fact that he was gonna have, you know, he has a very long trip home. They gotta fly to Alaska. Then they get on a boat and they have to sail to the island and then drive home. So that's a very, very long trip for them. So instead of that, I'm gonna do a show myself. I'll figure out what that topic's going to be.
01:16:33
I have two that I'm thinking about doing and it'll be one or the other. I'll announce that later, but it'll be good. It'll be good. So. But next week, 2016 meme war all right, we've wasted enough time talking about Ali Breland and her inability to meme. Let's, let's talk about. What are we going to talk about? Are the homies still hanging? Oh look at that. 6,700 people. That's awesome. I have not been able to check the rumble page this whole time. So 6700 people. Hit the thumbs up if you are enjoying my non stop ranting. I've now been ranting for about an hour and 21 minutes. Well, maybe a little less than that because there was the intro video, but longer than an hour and 15 minutes. And there's nobody here to stop me. So, John, if you want to stop me from ranting, you better come out and pound me. I'm going through all your stuff. All right, let's start with Elon.
01:19:50
We're going to go back to Elon. So I'm once, once again, I am xing out the tabs because they're just tabs everywhere. And it's hard to keep it all, keep it all, keep it on, keep it. All right, all right. Gotta put it on stage. Did I remember to do that? I did. There we go. Musk calls for sanctions on Ukrainian oligarchs. This is from rt, which is, you know, a great news outlet, by the way. And I hope that everybody out there from, you know, the various State Department agencies hears me say that because, you know, they are more honest than, and are better at covering news than pretty much every corporate media outlet in. In the west in America. So, yeah, put that in your pipe and smoke it.
01:20:56
The billionaire has said that such a step could compel Kiev to start the peace process. I will not call it Kiev, by the way. I call it Kiev. Elon Musk has suggested that sanctioning and I'm going to say the Ukraine. I'm going to stop saying Ukraine. I'm going to say the Ukraine. Elon Musk has suggested that sanctioning the Ukraine's top 10 oligarchs could bring about a swift resolution to the conflict with Russia. He offered the unusual proposal in a post on X on Saturday. Musk, who leads the Department of Government Efficiency Doge, was responding to a discussion on U.S. Financial aid to Ukraine. He has frequently criticized U.S. Support for Kiev, while in general advocating reducing federal spending on foreign assistance. Place sanctions on the top 10 Ukrainian oligarchs, especially the ones with mansions in Monaco, and this will stop immediately.
01:21:45
That is the key to the puzzle. Musk wrote in response to a post by Senator Mike Lee, who called for the US to halt financial aid to Kiev. Must did not elaborate on how exactly such a move would impact the conflict. I'm sorry, hold on just one second, guys. I'm going to go ahead and start loading a video in for the next story. So when we start the next story, we don't have to wait. All right, back to the news. According to the news outlet Ukrainian focus, as of September 2024, topping the list of the country's wealthiest people was. Oh, my gosh. Okay, bear with me. We're gonna say some Slavic Ukrainian names. Renat AK Mektov, owner of industrial conglomerate SCM Group. He was followed by Inner Pipe Group owner Victor Pinchuk, Former president Petro Poroshenko. Know him? Niepo? No.
01:22:43
Owner Igor Kilimoyski Definitely know him. That. That's. That guy's bad news. Bears and Therapo owner Constantine Zagova. No, no, no, no. Z Vago. Zavago. Constantine Zavago. Zevago. Yeah, there you go. Most of the above listed individuals have contributed to Kiev's war effort. Parashenko and Pinchoot are known to have supplied the Ukrainian army with drones and other equipment, while Ak Metov Akhmetov is behind a project that provides the military ammunition transport, medical equipment and drones. He has reportedly spent the equivalent of some 274 million on the war effort in the past three years. Musk's suggestions sparked mixed reactions online. Some users question whether. Question whether. Some users questioned whether sanctioning Ukraine's business elite would actually pressure Kiev to negotiate, noting that Ukraine mostly relies on Western funding.
01:23:52
Others pointed out that just last month Kiev itself sanctions several prominent businessmen, including Poroshenko, Kolomoisky, Zavago and Zavago, which suggests a rift between them and the regime. While no reasons were given for the sanctions, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has called for, quote, blocking billions that were earned by essentially selling out Ukraine, Ukrainian interests, Ukrainian security. Just a day before the sanctions announced, Musk's remarks came amid a growing rift between Kiev and Washington following Zelensky's recent trip to Washington, during which a meeting he had with President US President Donald Trump at the White House turned heated and the planned signing of a minerals deal was put on hold. Shortly thereafter, the US Suspended military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine. According to the Washington Post. Ukrainian officials, including Zelensky, now fear Trump may impose sanctions on Ukraine following the Ukrainian leader's decent, ill fated trip.
01:24:53
Quote, all politicians in the this country were discussing potential sanctions from the US Side. A lot of people were very nervous and the president was very nervous, an unnamed official told the newspaper. He added that Washington could impose sanctions by linking individuals in Zelensky's inner circle to corruption, which would weaken Ukraine's war effort and jeopardize its EU backing. The official did not specify whether Ukrainian oligarchs would be targeted. This is a very fascinating story for a number of reasons, because a lot of people don't know this, but you know, Burning Bright has this theory about our boy Z, and he makes a lot of really compelling points with that theory.
01:25:35
And to the extent that I actually hold it in my mind when I look at, when I watch all these Ukraine developments and frankly, as more things happen, including that like spat that he had with J.D. Vance and Trump, I, I think his theory is becoming more and more valid. And, and that's because when you think about what's actually happened in Ukraine and how Ukraine has been dealt with or how it has evolved, I would say since the mining coup in 2014, since, let's go back the election that led to the mining coup where the Ukrainian people held a referendum and those four regions that Russia now occupies said they wanted to leave the Ukraine and go to Russia. And then they also elected a pro Putin president who was immediately overthrown by the CIA.
01:26:29
And then a lieutenant from the Ukrainian Israeli mafia was inserted as the interim president. And now because I've said that, I now have to pull up my mind map and get a little autistic here. So I thought I wasn't going to do the mind map today. I thought I was going to skip it. But you're getting the mind map. So what's funny, and here's the reason I wanted to share it. So on the flight to Vegas, Ryan Delarm, I think I mentioned this last week, but Ryan Delarme sent me a link to an archived digital version of a book that's called Robert Maxwell, Israel Super Spy. And it's written by Gordon, by Thomas Gordon, who is a excellent authority on Mossad. He's probably one of the best authorities on Mossad and you know, other aspects of the Israeli government.
01:27:32
And he lists out him and his co author lists out all the people they interviewed for the book. And it's a just who's who of like Israeli politics, the FBI, you know, Mossad directors. I mean there are a lot of people in there who are highly credible sources of information and the information they're conveying to him is not necessarily flattering for the Israeli government. So it, in my mind that makes it, you know, more credible to a certain extent. But anyway, this is the guy I was referring to, Alexander Tertianev Tertianov. Okay. And so this guy is a Ukrainian intelligence agent. He's a, he worked in the Ukrainian intelligence, the Secret Service of Ukraine, which is like the usb, I think, or what is it the UBS things, what they call it sub sbu. The sbu. Sorry, Vegas is catching up to me now.
01:28:42
So he was the head of this, of the Secret Service of Ukraine. In 2010, this guy gets arrested, indicted by the Ukrainian government because he was accused of going into the office, you know, like the equivalent of their CIA, and destroying all the files for his real boss. Not, not the boss in the Ukrainian government, but his real boss who's this guy, Simeon Mogulovich. And this guy is known as the. They call him the Brainy Don. And he's the head of his company, you know, like his storefront, which is like, you know, the, the. The company. He probably uses a laundry, a lot of money, I would imagine. Ross Euchre, Energo. He. That does like all the gas stuff with Ukraine and Russia. So he's like heavily involved in the Ukraine, Russia, gas stuff.
01:29:46
And then you kind of think about how Zelensky is now offering Trump some ownership in that. You got to wonder if that ownership is coming from this guy. So this guy, the files that Ukraine had on him, the other guy, Alexander Tushanov, was indicted and 2010 for. And brought to trial for destroying all the files they had on that other guy on the. And this other guy is the head of what they call the Israeli mafia, but it's really the Ukrainian Israeli mafia. So in this book that I'm reading about Robert Maxwell, it is fantastic. I absolutely encourage everyone to go read it. I'm only 100 pages in. It's a 400 and some page book. But it is absolutely fascinating the level of detail that they go into in explaining, you know, how Mossad plans an assassination, how they select the target.
01:30:45
For those who don't know Robert Maxwell, this is Ghislaine. Ghislaine Maxwell's father was murdered. Assassinated by Mossad. That's understood in 1991. And the reason that they killed him is because Robert Maxwell is like a George Washington figure in Israel. He is. Is known for kind of building up the wealth of the country of Israel and giving it the necessary resources it needed to become a first world country, so to speak. And he has connections in London. He has connections in the MI6. He even had connections in Moscow and the Kremlin, you know, back during the Soviet years. But he also, but his closest connections were with Mossad. And he was known for using his vast business network to build out a network that Mossad would tap into.
01:31:39
They have something called the Sayanim and Messiah Nim are basically it's like Jewish people who are guilted into working with Mossad and helping them out of a sense of loyalty to the Jewish community, the greater Jewish community. They don't have to be Israeli citizens necessarily. And even they don't even have to be Jewish. It's just people who are Zionists and believe in Israel. And so, for example, if they're going to send a Mossad age into a place and they need a house for the guy to stay in, this, you know, they would contact somebody in the network would get him a house. There would be no paper trail. If they need a rental car. They contact somebody who owns a rental car company, and that person gives them a rental car without paperwork, etc.
01:32:21
So one of the people that like, was very close with Robert Maxwell and he was doing business with and was part of his inner circle of networking was this guy, Simeon Mogilovich. When he, when I, when his name popped up on in the book, I fell out of my chair on the plane. I was like, holy crap. Because they were Talking about the 1990s when the Ukrainian mafia had to leave Ukraine, the Soviet Union collapsed. A lot of the mafia, the KGB guys left. Some of them stayed there and like, acquired, you know, amassed resources. They had what was called the Aluminum wars. But the other group, a lot of others left, went to Israel and actually set up a lot of like, money laundering operations in Israel that worked in conjunction with the guys in Ukraine.
01:33:16
And Robert Maxwell was at the very center of that whole web. And for those who don't know, the author explains this. Robert Maxwell was born in 1923 in Central Europe, grew up dirt poor, allegedly like dirt floors in his house and, you know, kind of like conned his way into like, high society in Britain. Like, he went in there and kind of like fake it till you make it kind of like a catch me if you can kind of act. And he is considered the pioneer of money laundering in the modern monetary system. He's the one who devised how you launder money through the modern banking system.
01:33:56
I mean, money laundering has always been a thing, but he's the one who figured out how you do it in a very sophisticated way so that even when it's very obvious that you're doing it, there's no legal way to prosecute it. And so he, not only did he teach a lot of, like, corporate oligarchs to do it, he taught the entire Eastern European mafia, the Ukrainian mafia, the Russian mafia, the Israeli mafia, taught all of them, how to launder money and do it like efficiently using the modern monetary system. So that's a really important thing to understand. And I'm sorry for the diatribe, but I think that is some relevant information. How's the chat doing? Y'all still hanging? What did what's going on there? Thank you, Jessica. I appreciate that. All right, so let's keep going. Let's get back to the news.
01:34:50
I wanted to go to this one. Let's stay with Ukraine for a minute. I don't I'm going to cover some of the stories today. We'll cover some of them tomorrow with Brian. I'm just going to hit a few because I'll kind of save my geopolitical rant but for tomorrow. But, you know, might as well knock a few out today. Trump wants a bigger Ukraine resources deal CBS so earlier, Vladimir Zelensky said that Kiev is ready to sign the agreement anytime. US President Donald Trump is seeking an improved minerals deal between Washington and Kiev. CBS News reported on Tuesday, citing a person familiar with the talks. Before we go any further, the oligarchs were talking about in the last one. So Igor Kilimoysky, Vladimir Zelensky, he is a tri citizen, meaning he has citizenship in Ukraine, Israel and Cyprus. That's illegal under Ukraine law.
01:35:53
You're not allowed to be a tri citizen and a Ukrainian citizen. So Zelensky stripped him of his Ukrainian citizenship and he actually got thrown in prison, I think last October. It was either last October or October 2023. But he threw him in prison and he's been in prison ever since. And now last month it just said that they put sanctions on him. When the maiden Coup happened in 2014, all of these oligarchs stepped up and they created the Azov Battalion. They created all these militias that were used to go in and secure those eastern provinces and make sure Russia didn't take over them. So Azov Battalion was one of them. There were a number of other ones. Kilamoyski was the one who funded the Azov Battalion. And these other oligarchs that they're mentioning also funded these other militias.
01:36:36
I'm sure they got like asid, USAID money. But you gotta also think about Zielinski disclosing the fact that like half the money that's been sent to them by the US has gone missing. And it's like those oligarchs probably are the ones who stole it. So interesting. We've got to keep an eye on that. But all right, back to the story. It says the allegations come three days after a brief falling out over the issue between Trump and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. Last week, Zelensky visited the White House to finalize an agreement granting the US the rights to the country's rare earth minerals as restitution for military aid provided by Washington to Kiev during the conflict with Moscow. However, his meeting with Trump and Vice President J.D.
01:37:16
Vance devolved into an argument in front of the journalists On Tuesday, Zelensky said, our meeting in Washington at the White House on Friday did not go the way it was supposed to be. In a post on X. He added that Ukraine is ready to sign the agreement on minerals in any time and in any convenient format. The deal has not been finalized yet, according to multiple sources cited by CBS News. However, a person familiar with the matter told the news outlet that the parameters of the agreement could change because the US President is pursuing a bigger, better deal. Addressing a special joint session of the two chambers of the US Congress on Tuesday night, Trump said that Zelensky had sent him a letter earlier in the day offering to sign the minerals deal at any time. And that is convenient for him.
01:37:57
But so now let's just skip down to the so it says. Last year, Zelensky proposed providing Washington with privileged access to Ukrainian natural resources as part of his victory plan, but later refused to agree to two proposals pushed by Trump's administration that would have granted the US 50% of ownership of the rare earth minerals. Trump had initially sought a $500 billion in compensation from Kiev for US military and financial support, but has apparently dropped the demand. Meanwhile, Brussels has also expressed an interest in Ukraine's mineral resources and has proposed a separate agreement to secure access to them. So it's interesting that he dropped the $500 billion in compensation. I mean, the mineral rights could easily be worth way more than that if there are minerals there, and that needs to be verified.
01:38:48
I've also seen another reporting that it's gas, natural gas, and oil pipeline ownership, like that's going to be part of the deal. So this is just hilarious though, because this goes back to Trump saying, if you don't take the deal, man, you better take the first deal I'll give you because the next deal is just going to be worse for you. And I mean, I think everybody kind of saw that coming, but we'll keep an eye on that and we'll do one more Ukraine story. And so this story also has a, like a disclosure here that hasn't really been reported yet, but it says Ukraine hasn't shown it wants peace. According to Trump, the US President has said he is waiting for a commitment to cease fire negotiations.
01:39:34
Ukraine has not demonstrated that it wants peace with Russia, US President Donald Trump has said ahead of American Ukrainian talks in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, a reporter asked Trump aboard Air Force One if he would resume military aid to Ukraine if it signed a partnership with the US on the development of its critical mineral deposits. I think they will, quote, I think they will sign the minerals deal, but I want them to have, I want them to want peace right now. They haven't shown it to the extent that they should, Trump said. But I think they will, but I think they will be. I think it's going to be evident over the next two or three days. I think eventually we'll have peace, the president added.
01:40:11
Trump reiterated that his priority is to broker a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine to save human lives on the battlefield. He said that he expected a good result from the planned U. S. Ukraine talks in Saudi Arabia. So, yeah, so what hasn't really been promoted is the fact that they have announced that the US And I haven't seen like a formal announcement, but I've seen it mentioned multiple times, like in passing. Like it. But, but I, I'm, I need to find the actual State Department announcement. But they're going to meet the Ukrainian officials and the U. S. Officials are going to meet in Jeddah, which is like the beach town on the west coast of Saudi Arabia. It's kind of like that's where, you know, like a lot of the wealth is.
01:41:02
And you know, it's like a beach, like a Malibu kind of beach town. That's also where they're going to build one of the Trump Towers, the Trump Tower that they're building. I think they're building one, if I remember rightly, I think one is in Riyadh and I want to say one's in Jeddah, but tbd, we have to. I thought there was also one in the uae, but I don't know. My, my brain is starting to malfunction. So, yeah, I, I think this is an interesting development. Trump is openly saying that Kiev doesn't want peace. Same exact rhetoric, by the way, that he used when he just, when he described BB Net and yacht, his relationship with BB Net and Yahoo. To Barack Ravid, Israeli journalist in 2021, he said, I don't think Bibi wants peace. I told him that to his face.
01:41:50
I said, you know what? I don't think you want peace. Exact same rhetoric. And I do kind of think I. I do view the Israel, Ukrainian conflicts as the same conflicts, just kind of inverted in each theater. And on that note, let's pivot to Syria. All right, here we go. Syria vows accountability after over 1,000 reportedly slain in mass killing. Interim President Ahmed Al Sharah. And that is absolutely ridiculous that we're calling him that. His name is Al Jelani. We're changing his name because the name Al Jelani is affiliated with Al Qaeda and isis, because he is now Qaeda, an ISIS operative, and has been a head chopper for the past 25 years. And he was the guy making, remember all the videos we used to see of. Of the.
01:42:45
Of the Al Qaeda guys, like, yelling in, you know, with somebody on their knees and them yelling into the camera. That was him yelling into the camera on multiple videos. And now this guy is the president of Syria. And if you remember when he came into power in December, I mean, how jubilant and celebratory the Republican and Democratic parties were. Both Republican and Democrats were both over the hill happy that Assad was gone and this guy was president and he's now Qaeda terrorist. Interim President Ahmed Al Sharah accuses Assad loyalists in foreign powers of feminine unrest with aim of dragging country back into civil war. Syria's new leader has vowed accountability and an investigation after reports of mass killings of Alawite civilians triggered an international backlash against the worst violence since Bashar Al Assad's overthrow.
01:43:36
We will hold accountable firmly and without leniency anyone who was involved in the bloodshed of civilians, who or whoever set the prowess of the state. Interim President Ahmed Al Shad said in a video posted by the state news agency Sanaa. He accused Assad loyalists and foreign powers that he did not. That he did not name of trying to foment unrest. That's awkward. He accused the Assad loyalists and foreign powers that he did not name. So he didn't name them, but he said that they were there. Today, as we stand at this critical moment, quote, today, as we stand at this critical moment, we find ourselves facing a new danger. Attempts by remnants of the foreign regime and their foreign backers to incite new strife and drag our country into a civil war, aiming to divide it and destroy its unity and stability, he said.
01:44:21
In its latest toll Monday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said 973 civilians have perished since March 6 in killings, field executions and ethnic cleansing operations by security personnel or pro Government fighters in the coastal heartland of the Alawite minority community to which the toppled president belongs. And its previous toll of 830 had specified the executions of targeting Alawites in the Mediterranean coastal provinces of Latakia and Tardis. Those are where the two Russian bases are, Latakia being the air base, Tardis being the naval base. The Observatory has also reported at least 125 members of the Syrian security forces and 148 fighters loyal to Assad killed. Syrian security forces said more than 300 of their members had been killed in clashes with former army personnel owing allegiance to Assad and attacks that began Thursday.
01:45:26
A security source said pro Assad insurgents had attacked several public utilities in the last 24 hours, disrupting electricity and water supplies. Sana reported on Sunday that a mass grave containing the bodies of recently killed security forces had discovered near Cardaha, Assad's hometown. The attack spiraled into revenge killings against Alawites, an offshoot of Shiite Islam that is the faith of some of Assad's most ardent supporters and became associated with Assad's wartime atrocities against Syria's mostly Sunni Muslim population. Damascus authorities have blamed summary executions of dozens of youths and deadly raids on homes and villages and towns inhabited by Syria's once ruling minority on unruly armed militias that came to the assistance of security forces. So yeah, there's a few things happening here that are.
01:46:23
And so here's a map that is showing you where this stuff is going on Latakia, that's where the air base is, if you recall. Here's like, here's a little blow up, showing you where we're looking at on Syria. So we're looking at the west coast of Syria. Lebanon's up here, Israel's down here. Latakia's the air base. That's, that's where in the official narrative Assad ran to and that's where he made his last stand. Or he was holding out there and then the Russians forced him to evacuate on a helicopter Tardis. That's where the naval base is. The Russian navy allegedly is still there. They're kind of like going back and forth from floating offshore to coming in and allegedly maybe moving stuff out. But here's what's interesting. Let me see if there's anything down here from. Yeah, let me do something real quick.
01:47:28
So that story that we just looked at was from the Times of Israel. And you'll notice how that was information was Presented. So if I come over here to npr, which I'm not suggesting is any better than the Times of Israel, they're just going to come at it from a different perspective. They're saying more than 1300 people killed in Syria have been killed, many believed to be civilians, in the span of three days amid intense fighting between forces associated with Syria's new government and those loyal to the, the deposed dictator Bashar Al Assad. According to a human rights group, the conflict is considered the country's worst violence since insurgents toppled the Assad regime back in December. It is also the biggest test for Syria's new government since it has assumed power.
01:48:18
On Sunday, the British based Syrian Observatory for Human rights reported that 830 civilians have been killed along with 231 Syrian security forces and 250 Alawite militants. The figures cannot be independently verified. The Observatory characterized many of the killings as executions and massacres carried out in revenge against the Alawite community, which made up Assad's traditional base of support. The human rights group also reported burning of homes and forced displacement worsened by the absence of international intervention. And so what I'm, what I was looking for was because what everyone has been talking about all, what everyone's been talking about all weekend are the Christians, the Christians that are being killed. And so here's Newsweek. Newsweek, like those first two NPR and Israel Times of Israel are not calling it what it is. They're not saying these are Christians being killed.
01:49:17
Here's Newsweek actually saying hundreds of minorities, including Christians killed in Syria. And I'm just seeing if they're providing any context that's different from what the other two have said just so we can get a diversity of thought here. Not that they're. So it says what to know. In late November, a rapid rebel offensive led by the Sunni Islamist HTS group, which has Al Qaeda origins, orchestrated the sudden downfall of decades long Syrian President Assad. The former leader has since sought asylum in Moscow. Yeah, so here's what I want to share because this is really interesting and no one's really talking about this and it kind of needs to be verified. But I don't think X is going to keep work. X is probably still not working, but I can just show the standby for processing.
01:50:35
All right, so there's this account that, you know, I, I looked into this account. It looks like it post in earnest. I mean it's hard to tell which is a random account, but it's the document that I, that they post that is really interesting. And I can't find my document anywhere else. So I don't know if it's real, but I'm going to share it here just to, just because, you know, it may or may not be. May or may not be newsworthy. I'm sorry, it didn't open in the. Right. Yeah. And then we'll get everyone out of here. I think we'll do one more story after this and then we'll get everyone out of here. I know we're going a little long. Long. All right, so this is the account Niziaka Moly.
01:51:16
So it says the return of the line of Damascus, Bashar al Assad is imminent. Syria will be free again. Israel and American backed isis Al Jelani is in trouble. He's quote, tweeting a post he had made back in February. So that post was from Thursday. I saw this on the plane to Vegas on Thursday. That was when all this stuff started happening. So again, this needs to be like verified, but it's just worth talking about. This is a post he made the week before. The return of Bashar Al Assad has been discussed extensively in Russia and Iran. Military brass who abandoned him are having second thoughts about the future of Syria under isis. Even Erdogan understands his role in toppling him and is willing to help the line of Damascus.
01:52:00
And then if you zoom in on this, it's not going to be great quality, but the statement that has been translated into English, it says, military liberation Statement on the establishment and launch of the Military Council for the Liberation of Syria. Praise be to God, the most merciful. It's probably going to be too hard to read, but it's basically down here it says we call on all Syrians from different sex, religions and ethnicities to join our ranks and stand with us in this historical stage. And the essence of it is that they are, they want to restore Assad to power because they're like, we're not going to let Al Qaeda and ISIS run this. And you know my friend, what's his name? Amazian Kavorka Amazian, who's us he lives in Germany. He was displayed. He's from Syria.
01:53:02
Him and his family had to leave Syria in 2012 when ISIS took over. His brother was kidnapped and he's lived in Germany ever since. He's a podcaster. He does what we do. He's actually recently he's been going on Judge Napolitano show, which is amazing, but I've been on his show, he's brought me on to talk about Trump and the sovereign alliance and like those theories which I think he finds interesting. But you know, he deals more in the Middle east stuff and I think is less speculative the way that we are. But he's been posting about this for, ever since Assad was toppled and he's been posting all this intel he's getting from people he knows in Syria, videos, whatnot of Sharia law being reimposed.
01:53:43
So you have this HTS group, even though the Western media is presenting them as a inclusive form of radical Islam, like they talk about how they want them to be inclusive of gays and lgbtq, they are still like doing Sharia law. They're making women cover up, women can't speak to men, like all that kind of stuff. It's all back. So that's why this thing that I'm showing you right here is interesting. I don't know if it's credible, I don't know if it's real, but it makes sense to me because the people in Syria are not happy with what HTS is trying to do. So who knows if that's really what's happening. But I find it interesting that we are absolutely getting reports of Christians being killed. These reports aren't new by the way.
01:54:34
This has been reported for months now that the Christians are being persecuted just like they were when ISIS took over, whatever 13 years ago, 14 years ago. So it's just interesting that, that we're getting this development. It would make perfect sense to me that Russia is going to come full circle and restore Assad and kick out ISIS and Al Qaeda. It kind of is like you can't tell the people. You have to show the people. We've now seen what happens when we let these rebels take over their ISIS. They're al Qaeda. Israel, by the way, is 100% supporting them. Israel has been in full throated support of them. They're like, yeah, they're radical Islam, but you know what, they're better than Assad. But this is what I really wanted to show as well was this video which is standby for processing.
01:55:43
Okay, so this is Donald Trump on CNN in 2015. Let's listen.
01:55:49
So I've watched Assad and I've watched a little bit on the other side. The problem is the other side of Assad. We have no idea who they are. They probably are righteous. I'm saying, are we better off with Assad? We have no idea who these People are, we give them weapons, we give them ammunition, we give them everything. Aaron, we have no idea who. I mean, maybe it's worse than Assad. So what are we doing? Why are we involved? We have to get rid of isis, very importantly. But I look at Assad and Assad to me looks better than the other side. And, you know, this has happened before. We back a certain side and that side turns out to be a total catastrophe. Russia likes Assad seemingly a lot. Let them worry about isis. Let them fight it out.
01:56:31
Isn't that interesting to hear those words from 2015? I don't know the exact date, but I don't know if it was before or after he announced. But in everything we've seen since then, with Russia and the US Working together to destroy isis, Russia backing Assad. Russia because Russia went into Syria in 2015. That was the year that they actually went in there and started fighting alongside of Hezbollah to protect Assad. Interesting stuff, I think it's very, very interesting. And I, it wouldn't surprise me at all if that's actually what's going to end up happening, is that we're going to see Assad restored to power and it's going to, the question is going to become who trained Al Jelani? Was it the, was it CIA? Was it Mossad? Was it MI6? Was it all three?
01:57:22
I mean, it's fair to maybe guess that all three were probably backing him. It also would explain why there was no resistance when they rose up against Assad in December. Assad basically just did a feigned retreat. And if, and if that is maneuver warfare like the Russians like to do, then it would make sense that he would circle. They would circle around and come back. They would gin sack you back and restore, respond to power. So let's now shift to Israel. I'm going to save most of the Israel stuff for tomorrow. I'm just going to do this one because this one is really interesting, and then we'll talk about the other stuff with Brian tomorrow. This is. Okay, first I'm going to show you this headline and then we'll, I'll show you the correlating story. So this is from the Times of Israel.
01:58:17
Meet Adam Bowler. I think I'm saying that right. Trump's complacent, confused and dangerously naive Hops John Boy. Hamas leaders must be laughing in disbelief after their interactions with the man who says he tries to identify their human elements. Nobody's laughing in Israel, least of all the families of the hostages. So obviously they're just excoriating this guy. And I'm going to show you now why they're excoriating him. And then we'll. We'll read the other article, which I think, which is more substantive and less slanderous. So let me play this video for you. Axios's reporter, Barack Ravid is reporting. The top Israeli official, Ron Durham Dermer, strongly discouraged you from talking directly with Hamas. He said it was a tense phone call. Tell us about that. Do you understand why Netanyahu, Dermer, others might be upset?
01:59:06
I do understand. I spoke with Ron, and I'm sympathetic. He has someone that he doesn't know well, making direct contact with Hamas, maybe. I would see them and say, look, they don't have horns growing out of their head. They're actually guys like us. They're pretty nice guys. So he doesn't know me. And there are big stakes. He lives in a country where if it sets certain precedents, then it will hurt or help a lot of other people. So I understand the consternation and the concern, and I wasn't upset. At the same time, we're the United States. We're not an agent of Israel. We have specific interests at play. And we did communicate back and forth. We had very specific parameters by which we fell. And the reality is, what I wanted to do is jumpstart some negotiations that were in a very fragile place.
01:59:57
And I wanted to say to Hamas, what is the end game that you want here? Not the dream endgame, but what do you think is realistic at this point? Because until we know that, it's very hard to reach some sort of truce or some sort of end to hostility. So in the end, I think it was a very helpful meeting. It was very helpful to hear some back and forth, but I think Israel knows walking out of that. You know, it's not like Hamas got the world because I thought there were a bunch of nice guys.
02:00:27
Right? How quickly could something come together in terms of this negotiation?
02:00:33
I think something could come together within weeks. I will say that I believe there is enough there to make a deal between what Hamas wants and what they've accepted and what Israel wants and it's accepted. And I think it. I think there is a deal where they can get all of the prisoners out, not just the Americans.
02:00:57
All right, sorry, my computer is losing its mind right now, so standby for processing. Hopefully this will pass. Okay, here we go. All right, so this is that guy, by the way, I just learned about this, like Last night on the flight home, I have had no time to dig into who this guy is. He's the host. He's like Trump's hostage negotiator. So I guess my presumption is that he works under Steve Wyckoff. I was pretty impressed that he was able to go in there and say that. That for those who didn't catch it, he said, they're actually pretty nice guys. That, that's interesting. I mean, I have not been a Hamas simp. You all know that.
02:01:42
Y'all know that I have described Hamas as, I think, a subversive element that was created to undermine the Palestinian Authority and create the necessary controlled opposition dynamic to create a war between Israel and Palestine, which would suck everybody in from the region and create World War iii. So I'm not like a Hamas fanboy or anything like that, but for him to say that, say they don't have horns growing out of their heads, they're actually pretty nice guys. What's really interesting though, is the other part where he said, you know, we're not an agent of Israel. That is very topical rhetoric considering all of the things being said online about the Trump administration and its relationship with design organizations. But he also said, so the Netanyahu regime, the Israeli government in general doesn't want anybody on our side, the west, speaking directly with Hamas.
02:02:42
So they have been using this entire time for the past, whatever year and a half, however long it's been. They've been using Qatar mostly, I think Egypt as well, but Qatar mostly as the intermediary. So they go to Doha, they sit in one room, the Hamas sits in the other room. And then the Qatar people, just like if you're in an illegal, like if you've ever been in a legal mediation, I've been in a legal mediation. You sit in one room, the other party sits in the other room. And then the mediator, the person who's assigned is normally a judge, is assigned to be the mediator, goes back and forth between the two rooms and like delivers the new terms and then the people negotiate and then they give the terms back and then they, that's how they do the negotiation.
02:03:23
They don't do face to face negotiations typically with like, with, you know, like lawfare. So I think that's probably, I would assume that's probably how this was handled. The Hamas is in one room, the Americans, slash, Israelis are in the other room. And then the Qataris are going back and forth between the two rooms and Talking to them. This guy sat down at a table across the table with Hamas and was speaking directly to them, which apparently hasn't happened yet. That's the first time it's happened. And this other guy, Ron Dermer is the one who is absolutely incredulous and angry with him and apparently lashed out at him, picked up the phone, called him and yelled at him for doing it. And Ron Dermer, for those who have been track following my stuff, know that he is, he was born in.
02:04:09
I'm getting some, my computer saying some mean things about page being unresponsive. I hope the stream is not lagging. But Dermer's the Derma's from Miami. He was born and raised in Florida, moved to Israel after college and is basically he's Netanyahu's Dan Scavino. So he's like to Netanyahu what Dan Scavino is to Trump. That's Ron Dermer. He's also the guy who went in five days before Trump left office in 2021 and used his friends in the State Department to get the sanctions against Dan Gertler, the Israeli mining oligarch in the Congo, lifted off of Gertler. And then Janet Yellen of all people reimposed him like a month later. All right, it keeps telling me the page is unresponsive. So I don't know if we're going to be actually be able to read anything.
02:05:10
Me trifling over to this other article, see if this one will work better. The Times of Israel always has been giving me a lot of trouble lately on live streams because it has so many like ads on the side. It has like videos that play and stuff and it's so overloaded with ads that like the, like this like stream yard does not like the Times of Israel. It's very anti Semitic of Streamyard I believe. All right, so this other one is Trump envoy defends his direct talks with Hamas says US is not an agent of Israel. And that was the article, that was the video that we just watched and don't really need to read through it because I think he just explained it. But yeah, I mean I think Bowler said their long term truce could be on the horizon.
02:05:57
And you know the other thing that he mentioned in there is there thousands and thousands of Palestinian prisoners that go back decades this way before October 7th, many of whom weren't even in Hamas. They were, they were arrested in the west bank and then they're dragged into A car, kind of like the Gestapo used to do, kind of like you see in Ukraine. And they're dragged away because they said something mean about Israel or maybe they mouthed off to a IDF soldier who patrolled the streets of the West Bank. And then they get thrown in, you know, and children, too, by the way. This happens to kids. Kids to thrown into a van, taken to Israel, and then they're in prison. They're not charged with anything. They're just kept indefinitely in prison. They have no rights.
02:06:37
I mean, they don't have a constitution or anything like that. So they have thousands and thousands of prisoners, which of course then motivates people to do then go join groups like Hamas because their friends or family get kidnapped like that and taken away. And so when you hear about, like, oh, Israel released 2,000 prisoners and Hamas only. Only released 30, it's like, yeah, well, Israel has like 10,000 people or whatever in, in prison that haven't even really been convicted of anything. They're just being accused of whatever, being anti Israel or pro Hamas or whatever it is. So I think that is important. And if I flip back, I'm almost worried to try to go back, but I think it might be. No, this is the old one.
02:07:34
All right, I think we're just going to wrap up there, but yeah, so maybe we'll touch on the. Maybe there'll be another development on this and we will touch on it tomorrow with Brian and maybe go a little deeper into it. I'm definitely going to look into this guy and figure out who he is because he is standing up to Netanyahu and Ron Dermer. And that is a very positive sign to me because it certainly defies the narrative that Trump is an Israeli puppet, which is what a lot of people are saying and have been saying. So if you would please hit the thumbs up, let's see if we have any rants. Yep, we got a few rants. Sweet. RT Joan, $5. Thanks, Ghost. Appreciate you. Smiley face. Thank you, Artsy Joan. I appreciate you and appreciate all y'all for being here.
02:08:20
RPM5954.25 Gordon, the explanation you did about the Global North, Global south and tariffs on the narrative was the best I've ever seen. I now use it as a Convo foundation, perhaps review it on Daily sometime someday. Yes, yes, I will. And for those who don't know what he's talking about, I think we talked about it on the narrative when I was on Burning Bright Show. I think it was Episode five, I was also burning bright and I did DPH together last week because John was traveling to Las Vegas and I definitely talked about it there and I showed the map and I explained the dynamic. But yeah, I'll keep talking about that because I think that's a really good way to understand how the entire world is enslaved just in different ways.
02:09:07
Some of us are tax slaves who are forced into a consumer based economy to buy cheap goods that are. That are manufactured by. By slave labor in foreign countries and then. And then flooded into the market, which also destroys your economy. So it's. It's a one giant complex slave plantation with different types of slaves. Thank you, Gordon. Hope you get a chance to relax and recuperate after all the traveling. Yeah, I'm gonna. I got some things to knock out today and I need to get ready for the show. The show tonight. Yeah, I mean, I. I'll figure out a time to relax at some point. I appreciate that though. It's nice. It was nice. It's nice seeing everyone. We had a great time at guard. Appreciate everyone who came. You know, it's get a few days off from being dad, from being a parent.
02:09:59
So that's always a little bit of a. That, that is a little bit of like a recoup, recuperation. And of course we have fun over there, so we get to blow off a little bit of steam. And that's the whole point. The whole point is to get together and have fun. But s busting. Thank you for that. That might be it. Let me. All right. Oh, wait, there's one more. It is alici. Alicia. Alicia. A L I S I E. I'm sorry for my pronouncing that right. Five dollars. Thank you, Gordon. Thank you, Alicia. I appreciate that. Texan to the core. Thanks, Ghost. I'm hopeful that Austin Tice can still be released from Syria. Been there since 2012. Yes, yes. I would like to see Austin. I know that's been discussed. I know that Putin's been talking about that too.
02:10:50
So Jubilee, Debbie Gordon, show some of the videos of your guard. I'm gonna let Brian do that tomorrow. I'm gonna. There's no reason to do an unforced error here, but yeah, there. For those who don't know, there are some videos, there's some karaoke. We had some fun. I'll let others. I'm. John is not gonna let that go. So that's going to be on his soundboard forever pretty much. For those who weren't watching Garth, Every morning started off of the three days that were doing the. The program every morning at breakfast started off with John showing either a video or a picture of me from the night before. Yeah. So. But it was fine. I thought it was hilarious. And that's the fun of Gart. So awesome, guys. Well, please hit the thumbs up.
02:11:43
Let me check real quick to see if there is any a. Jessica, I know you might be in the chat. Might not be. I don't know if. Yeah. Okay, so there's a Badlands media special coverage for President Trump's Roundtable Technology CEO Council. So Ash and I will probably be covering that. Yeah. So that, that looks like it's starting. I don't know what time it's starting, but I'm sure it's soon. And then the Book of Trump tonight. The Book of Trump tonight. I'll be doing it solo. It'll be a good topic. I'll. I'm gonna do one thing or the other and I'm gonna look through my notes and see which one I feel better about and we'll make a decision. Game time decision. But yeah, everyone have a great day. And let me see if I have.
02:12:45
Yep.
02:12:46
I'm going to set the outro video.
