For Event Planner, Grammy Bands Performed, Pool Permits were Denied, and Forgotten Coast Played Loud

WEBVTT
00:06.578 --> 00:07.298
[SPEAKER_06]: Good morning, everyone.
00:07.578 --> 00:08.839
[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you for coming to our luncheon.
00:08.859 --> 00:10.979
[SPEAKER_06]: We're so pleased that you're here.
00:11.720 --> 00:13.240
[SPEAKER_06]: We're going to get straight to the questions.
00:13.960 --> 00:17.922
[SPEAKER_06]: We have Mr. Will Rudd's courthouse nights here, and he's here to answer them.
00:18.102 --> 00:18.522
[SPEAKER_06]: Will Rudd's?
00:24.024 --> 00:24.464
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Ms.
00:24.504 --> 00:24.804
[SPEAKER_01]: Rage.
00:24.844 --> 00:30.886
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a pleasure watching you eat those pigs on blanket so fast to miss.
00:30.906 --> 00:34.627
[SPEAKER_01]: We're here to discuss the fifth season of courthouse
00:37.041 --> 00:40.622
[SPEAKER_01]: and we'll be discussing the lineup and maybe some of the things that go on.
00:41.382 --> 00:45.043
[SPEAKER_01]: Here in this town to bring the public this community event.
00:45.604 --> 00:46.364
[SPEAKER_01]: First question, please.
00:47.104 --> 00:52.606
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it true that last year's event led to an unprecedented number of spontaneous Congolines?
00:53.646 --> 00:57.367
[SPEAKER_01]: We noticed that it was more than spontaneous.
00:58.447 --> 00:59.948
[SPEAKER_01]: It seemed instantaneous.
01:02.689 --> 01:04.689
[SPEAKER_01]: And we are expecting more Congolines,
01:08.632 --> 01:17.775
[SPEAKER_04]: Mr. Broge is tailgating, so looking like it's going to be bigger than ever, well you'd be requiring permits for converting pickup trucks into pools.
01:18.755 --> 01:19.696
[SPEAKER_01]: Going to be a hard no.
01:20.076 --> 01:26.318
[SPEAKER_01]: On that, we do have, we have hired one of our sponsors as a pool, pool cleaner people.
01:26.738 --> 01:32.020
[SPEAKER_01]: You might know, instead of going along to have a pools, and we're going to have them out here.
01:32.200 --> 01:34.941
[SPEAKER_01]: So you might see some trucks with some pools, but
01:35.981 --> 01:40.304
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll probably maintain that and that will be in the summer still from 12 to 7.
01:41.184 --> 01:44.667
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a rumor around town that you're getting all your bands at the old mall.
01:45.667 --> 01:49.390
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, Miss Kennedy, that is, that is true.
01:49.990 --> 01:55.534
[SPEAKER_01]: But there are high-class bands, some of the best talent you've ever seen them, some of the best local talent you've ever seen.
01:55.754 --> 01:59.556
[SPEAKER_01]: They are winners of some grimmies.
02:01.678 --> 02:02.138
[SPEAKER_01]: You look great.
02:03.300 --> 02:22.337
[SPEAKER_04]: Mr. Rhodes, we have a question here about wondering if courthouse nights music has secret messages in what they call back masking in the music that might be leading to any kind of satanic influence or our general wickedness in our youth.
02:26.374 --> 02:28.215
[SPEAKER_01]: It's also going to be a hard no.
02:28.495 --> 02:29.696
[SPEAKER_01]: We are not promoting that.
02:29.856 --> 02:32.137
[SPEAKER_01]: We enjoy the children walking around.
02:32.157 --> 02:33.218
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll let some might say.
02:33.238 --> 02:36.640
[SPEAKER_01]: The dark side of the courthouse, which we have seen.
02:37.981 --> 02:40.682
[SPEAKER_01]: But in general, it's a family fun event.
02:40.742 --> 02:45.765
[SPEAKER_01]: We encourage you to bring wagons, take photos, shop locally.
02:47.286 --> 02:47.666
[SPEAKER_01]: No, Satan.
02:48.647 --> 02:48.967
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
02:49.728 --> 02:50.188
[SPEAKER_01]: Next question.
02:51.569 --> 02:53.530
[SPEAKER_00]: When are we going to find out who's playing?
02:56.795 --> 02:59.657
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, we're right, tell y'all.
03:00.277 --> 03:04.179
[SPEAKER_02]: April 18th, Ellis Bullard, May 16th, the point.
03:04.859 --> 03:16.845
[SPEAKER_02]: June 20th, two-time Grammy Award winners, The Last Buy of Ramblers, July 18th, Los Juanos, and August 15th, Queen Tribute Band, Magnifico.
03:17.426 --> 03:19.046
[SPEAKER_04]: Any last thing you'd like to tell us?
03:20.667 --> 03:21.608
[SPEAKER_01]: I love baby veterans.
03:23.938 --> 03:25.299
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see you on the lawn.
03:25.399 --> 03:25.679
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, boy.
03:25.739 --> 03:26.360
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, boy.
03:33.364 --> 03:42.190
[SPEAKER_03]: In this next segment, we'll be listening to Forgotten Coast by James McMurtry, a master storyteller who songs capture the grit and soul of real life.
03:43.030 --> 03:51.336
[SPEAKER_03]: Forgotten Coast paints a vivid picture of Florida's untouched shoreline and metaphor for resilience, isolation, and a world fading from memory.
04:01.293 --> 04:08.875
[SPEAKER_05]: And down the highway south I'll go We were hitchhiking to Port St.
04:08.915 --> 04:23.939
[SPEAKER_05]: Joe I'm gonna walk the beach with a pirate's ghost And we'll haunt that old forgotten ghost I'm gonna trade my car and change my name
04:31.447 --> 04:53.782
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna fix a roadkill, black bear roast And get that old, that forgotten coast You know what, it's gonna find me there With the steel guitar and the rocket chair I'm gonna see food, shacks, and noise, your bones
05:25.769 --> 05:38.282
[SPEAKER_05]: We're in the fishing pole and we're rocking chair Tell the one I miss the most He's down on that forgotten coast
06:00.133 --> 06:27.496
[SPEAKER_05]: Down the highway, south I'll go We were rich, good, apart, say, Joe I'm gonna walk the beach with a pirate's ghost We'll halt that over, gotten ghost I'm gonna cut my hair and change my name When the bird can dance, won't touch the pain
06:29.877 --> 06:47.110
[SPEAKER_05]: Until one out is the most He's going down that forgotten coast Till one out is the most He's down that forgotten coast
