► Tell us about you and your podcast
Gav Smith is a teacher by day and want to be voice actor, podcasting for just over a year, started as a lock down project.
Since January Gary Colman, stand up comic, doctor, ex-soldier and founder of Game Therapy UK has joined Gav as the quest to find what it is that makes a favourite film.
The podcast is about films, we interview a new guest each episode, ask them what is their favourite film and then by dissecting the film cast, crew, writer & scenes we try to work out what it is they like.
Our listeners - film fans - possibly fans of comedy - truthfully I don't know!

► Why & how did you start this podcast?
Why? Lock down was tough, I wanted to talk to people about films and my family weren't helping - so I started a podcast!
I listen to a few podcasts.
Goals were just to have fun with it, now I want to grow it and get more listeners and the next level of celebrity guests.
Podcast started thinking about it Feb 2021 released the first episode April 2021.

► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
We release once a week each series - series 2 is just taking a quick break, but there are 4 more episodes to come.
Time is the tough one - Gav works full time as a teacher and Gaz is a full time comedian, part time doctor and charity fund raiser.
We meet most weeks to record bits for episodes or to interview a guest.
At the moment we spend nothing and ask nothing, all our guest give their time freely and Gav is a whiz at editing in the car while watching his sons weekly football training.

► What do you gain from podcasting?
Just a warm fuzzy feeling inside when someone says "I heard your podcast, I really enjoyed it."
We have no sponsorship and we get a weekly download per episode of about 40 - monthly we are in the 200's.

► How does your podcasting process look like?
We use Zoom, all interviews are remote, Gav is in Leeds and Gaz in London the guests could be anywhere!
Gav uses a laptop with a Samson Q1 mic and Gaz a laptop with a built in mic.
Audacity is used for editing.
It's not exactly professional but it sounds OK!

► How do you market your show?
Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
This is what we need help with, we don't know anything about getting the podcast out there!!

► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Find a niche, something that no one else is podcasting about but everyone is talking about.
Get a format - do test episodes, listen to them, get feedback.
Don't release the 1st episode you record, do several tests then record a real one.
