Talk With People Using TikTok For Business

My name is Kyle Kaplanis. I am a TikTok Marketing Expert and full time entrepreneur. I helped my daughter grow to over 2 million followers on TikTok and thought, this would be a great opportunity to help people build their personal brand on TikTok, and to help small businesses grow as well.

My podcast is called BizTok. Were I talk to entrepreneurs, business owners, and brands who are using TikTok for business, and together we bring listners the top tips, insights and secrets to skyrocket their TikTok accounts.

My listeners are entrepreneurs, small businesses, and people who are looking to grow their personal brands.

Voice is the number one element to me to creating lasting impressions, and connections. After listening to several podcasts, I thought it would be time to start my own. Since TikTok is still such a new space, especially for professionals, I thought it would be an incredible opportunity to talk to the early adopters of TikTok professionals and learn their strategies to help those who are looking to grow in that space.

I launched my podcast in March of 2020. It was a rough start as I did not know what I was doing. I just went with it and hit post. I created two episodes and then quit, but later came back in August with my new vision, and have been going strong ever since.

I release two episodes a week. It takes me around 5-7 hours per episode. That includes editing of the podcast, entering data to website, creating blog posts, and creating promotional materials for social channels.

I am fortunate enough to have a very flexible schedule and have included my podcasting as part of my career so I can have the time to create weekly episodes.

I 100% fund my podcast. It costs me around $100 a month to run my podcast, but if we were to include the time spent it would be more like a $1000 a month.

I am looking to turn my podcast into additional revenue, as of now that has not happened. I am still learning, and finding the best methods to do so.

My podcast very on downloads can be anywhere from 25-200 per episode within the first 30 days.

Podcasting has been a huge part of my growth overall as a person. I get to meet people from all over the world that share the same passions as me. I get to learn from them, and in return they can learn from me. I have built an incredible community of new people and have been able to use it to grow my social presence online.

I find all my guests through TikTok. I use calendly to book each guest in. My podcast is recorded via Zoom. Once the podcast is finished recording I use Descript to edit my podcast. I do both video and audio so Descript helps me easily edit both at the same time, and gives me my transcription. I prepare each episode with learning as much as I can about my guest and finding some interesting things to ask them that my community would enjoy learning from.

My listeners can find me everywhere. Itunes, Google, Spotify, YouTube, IG, TikTok, my personal website, and LinkedIn. 40% Itunes, and the rest from socials.

I also send out a blog post to my email database.

Do not overthink starting. If you do not have all of the top of the line equipment or space that is OK. You will learn as you go, and as you build your community you will learn methods that work better.

If you are waiting to invest you may never get started, or it could be a waste of money as it might not be your thing.

You should give it at least 6 months of being consistent to see if it is for you, but the keyword there is consistency.

Do not be afraid to market to anywhere you can. You have to have the time to market and connect with people to gain downloads.
