Helping men drop the facade of being a nice guy so they are able to live life on their terms

I am out to help men stop sacrificing their purpose for the sake of others.

I help men come to understand that the suffering they are facing is not permanent and that they are able to live the life they want. This life also includes a wife and kids. Their life can be one of adventure and excitement, and the woman in his life wants him to be that strong confident man. I help divorced men in particular to see that the time in their life is a result of an accumulation of actions and that those results can be changed.

My listeners are men who are in their 25-45 years of age and are going through the thick of a divorce. They may be hurting and suffering right now but they are able to change how they look at the circumstance and see that they can still have an amazing life.
 

Because I wanted to help more men find their purpose and fulfillment. My blog has a certain amount of reach and the podcast provided more. I would also be able to be a guest on other peoples shows.
 

You find the time by setting that time aside. If you think it will happen whenever then you are right it will happen at whenever. You have to know why you are making the podcast. If it just seems fun, then it won't last, Yet if you have a purpose you will move the earth to get those episodes out.

My time to do the podcast is when the work is done or on Saturdays. I have recorded my shows in the car. more than once. I recorded my show in the cab of a semi-truck because that was where I was at the time. You just have to decide that you're going to do it come hail or high water.

It takes me about an hour and a half to get the show notes written. Then the recording is about 30 minutes to an hour. 1.5 hours for processing and editing and scheduling. then the marketing is another hour so in total about 4 hours per episode.
 

My show is a calling card for my coaching business. So it doesn't make sense for me to take a sponsor. Since I don't make money from this podcast I get the satisfaction that my show is growing and that I am helping men become better men. Each episode that comes out is just 1% better.
 

The tools I use are for recording.

Zoom Podtrak P4, iMac 24", and a Beringer microphone.

Editing is Audacity. While the processing is through auphonic.

My shows are often written show notes first and I talk off of those show notes.

I don't normally take guests so if I do want a guest then I will often ask them.

The interviews when they do happen are through Zoom.
 

I take the podcast everywhere I possibly can. I help people find my show by having a page dedicated to subscribing to my show.

The major way that people find my show is through word of mouth but I am about to start doing some advertising.
 

Make plans to line out 52 topics you can talk about for however long the show is. If you can't come up with that many topics then you might adjust what you are wanting to talk about.

I started one of those lists and I add to it on a weekly basis. I went from 52 show topics to over 300 hundred show topics now and from time to time do dip into the show ideas.

Also, have a page for your people to find your show and have a subscription page. Also, list your RSS feed. You don't need it all the time but there are times when you will have a listener who does need it.

Don't be just exclusive to Apple. There are more Android users than there are Apple. Yes, Android has dropped the podcast ball more than once. However, Your listeners are there wanting to know that you are there for them
