Cover All Things NBA

My name is Edwin and I a run a podcast called A1Hoopz where I discuss a wide array of topics across the NBA. All basketball fans would definitely enjoy listening to my takes.

I podcast because I am building a brand that covers basketball. I love the NBA and I want to showcase my knowledge to the fans. I listen to many other podcasts that also cover the NBA. My goal with the podcast is to grow a large fan base and make a good amount of income through making episodes. I started my podcast last year in February of 2020. And I made my first episode a day after I created my anchor sccount.

I try to release at least one of two episodes a week. Around an hour it takes me to make an episode. I work usually 4-5 days a week so on my days off I work on this. I don’t spend any money or fund the podcast because there isn’t a need.

I do take sponsorship but I haven’t made any money yet really. I’m a small podcasters with only 1,400 total streams so far.

I use the anchor hosting app to make and produce podcasts straight off my iPhone. In order to find guests, I ask my followers on Twitter. And I’m order to prepare I take down notes in a notepad. Guests can easily join my podcast by clicking a link.

Most of my listeners come from Apple Podcasts and Spotify. And whenever I release a new episode, I promote it on Twitter.

Having guests occasionally and having them share the episode to their followers is a super good way to get streams. Have fun and be yourself. Don’t sound robotic or anything.
