S.D. Bob "Snake" Plissken is the protagonist of the films Escape from New York and Escape from L.A. The movies follow his apprehension by the United States Police Force and subsequent conscription to extract top-secret material from New York City and Los Angeles — which have, in this dystopian setting, been entirely converted into maximum-security prisons.
