► Why & how did you start this podcast?
This is an excellent way to share our joy and opinions on film, TV and digital media. We listen to film podcasts (Invasion Of The Podysnatchers, Films To Be Buried With with Brett Goldstein and Harmontown)
Networking, creating alternative content to film and having a great time.

► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
Scheduling recording sessions once per month. Recording 5-6 episodes per session that are uploaded weekly. Episodes can take between 1-7 days (depending on any technical faults or verbal missteps).
We don't always find the time and some recording sessions can be cancelled or moved because of it, but we try to add "breaks" and "seasons" to give us more time.
Our podcast has largely been self-funded, but we have been fortunate to achieve one grant and one kind one-off sponsor - we'd like to develop our sponsorship and grant levels further.

► What do you gain from podcasting?
We are not currently in receipt of sponsorship. We are looking for opportunities, mentors and fundraisers at this time.
We believe that our digital footprint and reach will soon become more attractive to regular sponsors.
We don't know how to find sponsors....,, maybe you can tell us? We will certainly use Listen Notes classified ads now.
So far we have expanded our filmmakers' network, been invited to feature film premieres and received exclusive access to festival bound features films and shorts.

► How does your podcasting process look like?
We started off by combining Snowball Ice mics and Audacity software. We have progressed to Avid Pro Tools and Shure mics. There are freelancers who have filled in with "various" equipment, but we are familiar with Rode mics and the Zoom protocols for recording audio on laptops.
Our preparations are somewhere between diligent and difficult due to the different number of hosts, guests and interviewees. We take our research seriously and we try to be dedicated to a knowledgeable and expertise packed show. However, it is important to be light-hearted and share the humour and personality of each Host too. Our London based guests are interviewed in person and sometimes on-location, but international interviews are via Zoom calls.

► How do you market your show?
Geeksweat (at the time of writing) is available on 65 different platforms; as well as Listen Notes you can find us on Acast, iTunes, Google, Spotify and much more. Our social media channels include Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
We find that there is more celebrity engagement via Instagram than any other platform.

► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Speak into the mic. Don't try to eat after pressing the record button. Seriously, every session is a different learning experience, whether it is the layout, the location, the running order or indeed how we answer & ask questions with much, much more besides. You could probably write a book about what we have learned so far.
