► Tell us about you and your podcast
I am in full-time ministry, mainly doing voice-over and animation work for this podcast. It is also available as an animated version on Youtube, with cartoon characters acting out the stories. The podcast is retelling Bible stories in an engaging way for kids, with music and sound effects to help the stories come alive. Our listeners are primarily families with young children, although we do have some adult fans as well.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
Podcasts are an effective way to reach people, and have exploded in popularity over the past decade. I listen to a lot of podcasts and have for about 12 years now. The goal of the podcast is to give kids a fun and effective way for them to learn the stories of the Bible, which regardless of your religious beliefs is arguably the most important written work ever made. We began making episodes in 2019, but it wasn't launched as a podcast until 2020.

► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
We aim to release 1 episode a month, although it's not a strict schedule for us. At our fastest it can take 2-3 weeks to fully animate and produce an episode - at most it can take a month and half. This is my day job, so I have plenty of time to work on it.
► What do you gain from podcasting?

► How does your podcasting process look like?
We always have a written script prepared which is then recorded, edited and mixed. The audio portion does not take nearly as much time as the animated side of it.
► How do you market your show?
We market through our ministry social media and youtube channel. We are partnered with a YouTube channel that has almost 80k subscribers, and that is a great resource for us easy, free advertising.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Consistency is key - I can't tell you how many people I know that get all hyped to produce a show, only for it to fizzle after a few episodes. Work ahead, and make sure you always have a couple of episodes waiting to be released so that if you enter a period where you production flow is slower you can still release consistently.
