The EnlightenUp Podcast is a refreshing spin on spirituality. It is a group of four friends that are dedicated to providing enlightening, informative and multi-sided conversations on all types of spiritual topics: Ascension Symptoms, UFO’s, The Matrix, Astral Travel, Self-Healing, Energy Work, Light Language, Hypnosis, Akashic Records, The Event, and sometimes capital “G”-God even shows up.
You will hear the skeptical and non-skeptical viewpoint on all of these topics because the EnlightenUp crew believes that honoring everyone’s individuality is what makes living this life so unique and rich in experience. We are dedicated to providing a forum where everyone’s opinion and perspective is valued, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey! Although, it does get a little heated sometimes, there is absolutely no judgement between us and we are able to remain friends, honor our differences, and provide a real-life example of how important friends are. It turns out that the more varied our views are, the richer the conversations tend to be.
So join co-hosts Nicole Frolick (author and inspirational speaker, who recently stepped out of the ‘spiritual closet’ holding a bottle of red wine when she realized the importance of sharing her stories with others); Lisa Watson (mother of two and light language channeler who prefers her whisky on the rocks); Michael Ronayne (a skeptic with an “I’ll believe it when I see it” way of looking at life and a heart that just won’t seem to heal); and Brian Koenigberg (designer turned App developer that is truly ‘The Mayor of Skeptic Town’ when it comes to all this spiritual stuff and is not afraid to call ‘bullshit'), as they invite you to listen in on their casual, entertaining and hopefully enlightening conversations about the spiritual journey, life on planet Earth, and what the heck is really going on out there.
Our listeners are people who have recently awakened and want a place where they can get some guidance on their journey and a place where they can go to help them understand what has happened to them and know that they are not alone and not crazy as both skeptical and non-skeptical views are given that allows the listener to see where they may have originally come from and where they are going.
We started the podcast in May of 2017. We had our first episode released within a couple of weeks. We started the podcast because Nicole and I thought our conversations about things that we came to believe and experience during our spiritual journey/awakening with our skeptic friends were interesting and entertaining enough to be heard by many. Our initial goal was to have fun and expose people to both sides of the conversation.
Nicole and I are both self employed and it didn't cost very much at all to get it started. We release 1 episode per week. Michael is the only one with a day job and his only part in it is the 2 hours a week to record. Nicole and I do the rest of the work. We spend about $10 per month + the initial cost of a web site domain name and the equipment, which was just a better microphone- $100.
We currently do not take sponsorship, but may in the future. We have 3,000 downloads per month right now. We gain camaraderie and we learn so many new things every week from our guests and new topics that we choose to discuss.
A computer, Audacity software, and a blu microphone make up our equipment.
We listen to other podcasts, look through YouTube and the internet to find interesting people that are discussing topics that fit in with our material.
We prepare by reading or listening to the content of our guests' platforms. Sometimes we just naturally have an amazing conversation about something over dinner or drinks and choose to use that topic as the basis for our next show. We use Skype for remote recording.
Itunes, fb, twitter, instagram, youtube, google and also by researching platforms that display the best podcasts in our area and ask to get on those lists. Also, the exposure we get from our guests.
The exposure we receive from our guests and iTunes seems to be the best so far.
Just do it. You will learn what you need to learn as you go. Watch YouTube videos on anything you can to help you learn about equipment, branding, and how to market your podcast.
