►Tell us about you and your podcast
My name is Richard Spasoff. I am a stand-up comedian and a psychic medium. I have a few co-hosts, Gloria Grady and Joseph Van peek, and surprised celebrity guest. The name of our podcast is Wacky World of the Spaz, We talk about everything or anything that may awaken your spirit with laughter, hope, and faith. We have a wide range of topics from comedy to spirituality. Our guest’s are from all walks of life. We’re looking to touch your heart, help you laugh and create a new pathway of understanding with people.
►Why & how did you start this podcast?
I've been doing radio for 30 years. I love all formats of broadcasting. No, not much, I don't listen to any podcast unless I am a guest on them. Most of the time. I am in the studio or out doing stand up comedy, psychic medium readings, or doing things on my honey-do lists for my wife. So I got rid of the extra girlfriend. In reality, I just started to podcast. Since I had a little extra time from my relationship from being on good behavior. I just started my podcast about a week ago from this date July,7-8-2018, because I have a lot of interesting guest and stories to share. It didn't take that long to release my first podcast because I had a lot of material "New" and old productions in the works.
►How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
Whenever my wife takes off my handcuffs. I try to produce 3 to 8 episodes a week. Generally speaking, I can spend hours recording, and nothing will come out decent. Other times, I am on a roll. It just seems I am sure everyone has those days of non-productivity. I Believe it's all about timing and synchronicity. I don't have to sell my body on the corner (No). Nor do I work with the mafia's wife's being a dance host. It's about living your dreams life is too short to waste time. I know we all have to make a living, I just hope people enjoy what they are doing. I have to live life to the fullest with God's grace and love and faith. Its a hard task to market but I make the time. I try to balance everything in my life unless I am locked up in a padded cell. So far, I fund these podcast myself. I am always looking for someone to help me fund my creativity
►What do you gain from podcasting?
Yes, of course, I'll take sponsorship. It's just not a good idea to rob a bank. (All kidding aside). I am looking for a sponsor that has both of our best interest. I have to no sponsor's right now. Broadcasting or podcasting is the same for me. I also have an internet radio station I own and operate from my home. I am looking for more podcast or music (With No Charge) to add to our station. I benefit by sending Hope, Love, and Laughter to people all over the world.
►How does your podcasting process look like?
I have a couple of nice soundboards. One is a Yamaha Mg16XU. I have an apple computer with software called pro sound forge which I record onto the computer. Or I just use the old method with a tin can an string the sound quality isn't the best. I have professional sound equipment with the finest mics two Elecllovoice RE20's. Guest arent away's easy due to their time constraints, but i make it happen. I also meet guest through performing and on my IMDB page I can contact anyone. It just takes patience and persistence and kindness mix with common sense. I interview guest in person and through my phone. I need to work on getting a better phone to record our interviews. As far as preparing our shows. it's just a matter of getting my butt out of bed.
►How do you market your show?
