ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Ron has made his fortune selling the image of perfect beauty to women.... but at what price? A dramatic sci-fi short-story-turned-musical by Jack Preston King and the Vest-Pocket Studio.

INTRODUCTION
When we set out to feature a science fiction story, we pictured space battles and robots, but Be a Kathy Girl! hits closer to home.  This story has some crazy futuristic tech, but it focuses more on the technology's effects on a beauty-obsessed society and a struggling marriage.  We found it to be very emotional, which makes it perfect for a musical.

Nash and Spencer ran with the darker tone of the story to create a song in the style of 90s dramatic musicals, a la Jekyll & Hyde.  With a bit of poetic license, we added a mirror on the closet door and had the protagonist fall to pieces.
