Mira is also one of the advisors for Seeds Of Peace's Creative Retreat for Artists, that brings together artists from various mediums and walks of life to get acquainted with the different narratives in the region and explore collaborations.Mira Awad works closely with “Combatants for Peace” movement which was established jointly by Palestinians and Israelis, who have taken an active part in the cycle of violence; Israelis as soldiers in the Israeli army (IDF) and Palestinians as part of the violent struggle for Palestinian freedom. After brandishing weapons for so many years, and having seen one another only through weapon sights, they decided to put down their guns, and to fight for peace.Seeds of Peace: The mission of Seeds of Peace is to "inspire and cultivate new generations of global leaders in communities divided by conflict."
