'It’s never a good life when your operating out of fear, waiting for the next shoe to drop.” Our guest this week has lived an enormous amount of life in a short period of time. Gabriel Rao was thrust into fending for himself and his siblings at age twelve. He threw on a mask of survival and convinced those around him that things were fine when they were far from it. Gabriel is an amazing example of resiliency and he has used this gift to slowly open up and move from surviving to thriving.   Being stunted by survival Having to parent out parents The upside of adversity Owning our story Receiving love for our dark sides Seeking control through work The family we are brought up in and the family we create The power of validation Post traumatic growth The courage of vulnerability   www.taps.org
