ABOUT THIS EPISODE

My latest guest on the Masters Milers Podcast is Brad Barton. Brad has been one of the top masters middle distance runners in the world over the past 8 years. He is holds world records in the 45-49 age group for the indoor 3000m (8:26.15) and steeplechase (9:06.68). He also holds the American record for 1500m in the 50-54 age group (4:01.77). Outside of running, Brad works as a corporate motivational speaker, where he uses his running as an example of how goal setting and thinking big can produce great results in other areas of life. During our conversation, Brad talks about getting into masters track competition, working with his former college coach to try to “do things that have never been done before”, dealing with numerous injuries, and being part of a running family.
